Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for MintMobil.
Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for $15 a month is back.
So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills.
But it turns out that's very illegal.
So there goes my big idea for the commercial.
Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch.
A upfront payment of $45 for three-month plan equivalent to $15 per month required.
New customer offer for first three months only.
Speed slow after 35 gigabytes of networks busy.
Taxes and fees extra.
See mintmobile.com.
Bill O'Reilly here.
You are listening to the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
It is Thursday, May 22nd, 2025.
Here's this happening today in America.
A presidential ambush, arson at historic church.
Another Democrat congressman passes away.
An American returned home.
That's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, the president of South Africa was in the White House yesterday.
And he was asked if there's a genocide in his country, he said there isn't.
And then Trump said, turn the lights down, roll the tape, and played a video of leaders in South Africa, Channing killed a boar.
The white farmers.
Lame stream media's response is that it was an ambush.
Every media outlet, Trump ambushes South Africa's president with false claims of white genocide.
New York Times.
Trump lectures South African president in televised Oval Office ambush.
Washington Post, Trump confronts South African President pushing false claims of genocide.
The Guardian, Trump ambushes South African President with video and false claims of anti-white racism.
BBC, Trump ambushes South African President with claims of white persecution.
They got their marching orders.
They got the script.
CBS News says some Afrikaners say Trump's being lied to about a white genocide in South Africa.
Quote, it's not happening.
Amazing.
The media defending a genocide.
Trump's derangement syndrome.
striking yet again.
A fire has destroyed a historic black church in downtown Memphis.
This church was the organizing point for Martin Luther King Jr.'s final campaign in
1968.
The fire was intentionally set in the inside of the church.
Police have released a video or picture of the suspect who is a black male.
The church was in the midst of a $25 million renovation project, also revitalizing the
3,000 pipe organ.
The church is now a total loss.
Democratic Congressman Jerry Connolly of Virginia has passed away.
he was 75 years old. He's been in Congress since 2009. Last month, he announced he was stepping down
from the top Democratic position in the House Oversight Committee because the cancer of his esophagus
has returned. Connolly is the eighth congressman to die in office since November of 2022. All of them
have been Democrats. Venezuela has freed an American prisoner Joe St. Clair. It's been detained
for six months. He's 33 years old. He was wrongfully detained October of 2024.
while traveling as a tourist near the Venezuelan border with a friend.
He claims they were arrested by Venezuelan authorities
and then transported across the border to a Venezuelan prison.
The U.S. presidential envoy for special missions, Rick Grinnell,
announced the release of St. Clair by traveling to a neutral country
to negotiate with Venezuelan officials.
He said it's only possible because Donald Trump puts Americans first.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Thursday about six months ago, I offered to take my son anywhere in the world
for his college graduation gift.
I was hoping he would pick Tahiti or some South Seas Island.
Instead, he came back with North Asia.
That's what happens when you major in political science.
So we are off to Japan, South Korea, and China,
where I've been invited to do an event based on my book,
The United States of Trump.
It's a speech, then, Q&A, with government officials and Chinese media in Beijing.
Please pray for me.
One word, I cannot say, is Orient.
That's banished officially in the USA and also most Asian nations.
But why?
The original Orient description came from the Romans.
Orens means east of Rome.
Then Chaucer used the word Orient in the Canterbury Tales.
So far harmless.
Enter the hideous newspaper baron William Randolph Hurst.
In 1909, one of his papers headlined Oriental contamination.
Hirsch himself is quoted as saying,
I'm strongly in favor of Japanese exclusion
to prevent Orientals from swarming into the country
and absolutely overrunning it.
Unquote.
Nice.
That was it for Oriental.
2016, President Obama signed H.R. 4328,
highlighting Oriental as a racist term.
Yes, it's woke, but there is valid context.
So it is North Asia for us.
We definitely live in a complicated world.
I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it.

Now let's go to the mail.
Let's go to Mike McCarthy in Chicago.
Hey, Bill, I watch, no, it's been news every night.
I get a physical each year.
I'm 70 years old.
the PSA standard, and a standard for me too.
So that's why we need to hear from the president's physician, all right, Colonel O'Connor, under oath.
We need to hear that.
Carl O'Shefsky, Al-Tuna, Pennsylvania.
Hey, Bill, you've explained your opinion that Comey should not be prosecuted.
It was terrible the way General Flynn was treated, so maybe Comey doesn't get convicted,
but he does go bankrupt defending himself.
So you want to do that?
Don't you want to be a little more noble than that, Carl?
I agree with you about Flynn.
Do you want to do that to another human being?
Even though I don't like Comey, you don't like them.
I don't think we want to do that.
Tanya, on the message board.
What happened to the option of destroying Russian economy through the banking system?
You said that would happen.
Does the option no longer exist?
No, it exists.
Trump is absolutely trying to get
this ceasefire in the UK
without dropping bombs on Putin
economically.
That's what he's trying to do.
But it's still in play.

It is worth it.
Bruce Springsteen should be deported.
Citizenship denounced.
An American citizen with a big microphone
should not in another country denounce their country.
You can't deport.
speech. I mean, you can do it if you're not a citizen. That's what Trump administration is doing to
the anti-Semites, but they're not citizens. In a moment, something you might not know.

Shane Company, your friend and jeweler. Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might,
not know. A report from Gallup recently ranked the happiest countries on Earth. Predictably,
the list highlights the socialist nations of Scandinavia, with the USA lagging way behind,
but the rankings are not what they seem to be. First, the list. According to Gallup,
the 10 happiest places are Mexico, Luxembourg, Israel, Norway, Costa Rica, the Netherlands,
Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, and the happiest country, Finland. The USA takes 24th place
in between Belize and Great Britain.
However, the methodology behind the survey has big flaws.
The list is compiled from just a single question given to a small sample of people.
Here it is.
Imagine a ladder with steps numbered zero at the bottom, 10 at the top.
If zero represents your worst possible life and 10 your best,
which step of the ladder do you feel you are standing on at the present time?
That's it. Are the folks in Mexico really very happy? The country is extremely violent run by the drug cartels.
Are you kidding me? I don't think I'd be very joyous about that. Finland and Sweden have the worst suicide rates in the European Union.
Denmark ranks near the bottom of the list for mental illness.
As a percentage of the population, the Netherlands has more drug users than anywhere else in the world.
They are escaping something in Holland.
And here's something else you might not know.
According to actual data, the happiest place is really Australia.
The country occupies an entire continent, no neighbors, strict immigration system,
few natural disasters, universal health care, as well as private insurance for those who
want it. The downside, you have to say the word mate at least 20 times a day.
Oz ranks number one in access to nature, adventure, financial mobility, pleasant weather.
Unlike Finland, Australia does not experience two months of total darkness.
And it's not nearly as chilly back after this.
