Bill O'Reilly here. It's Tuesday, May 28, 2019. You are listening to The O'Reilly Update. And here's what's happening across our nation. New York City sees an 83% rise in hate crimes. The first privately funded section of Border Wall goes up in El Paso. Right-wing candidates make major gains in the European Union election. Joe Biden's slow campaign schedule examined. Boston Redstocks.
Bill Buckland, dead at 69.
Also, I had my message of the day, defending Donald Trump, is that a worthy thing?
But first, New York City is seeing a spike in reported hate crimes this year.
Apparently, there's been an 83% rise in the same period last year.
The awful increase in hate is linked to the growth of anti-Semitism, and some of it is fueled by anti-Israeli rhetoric,
coming from political circles.
Over to the border, where the first privately funded section of fencing was erected in Texas
during the Memorial Day weekend, a group calling themselves, We Build the Wall,
constructed the barrier on privately owned land near El Paso.
According to U.S. officials, more than 930 foreign nationals are arrested every day near that wall site.
Private land can be protected by walls in Texas.
Right-wing parties made major gains in the European parliamentary elections last week,
with the UK's Brexit Party and others in Italy and France beating centrist candidates.
Major factor driving the victories?
Europe's immigration policies, especially from places like Syria and northern Africa.
To the campaign trail in America, where former,
Vice President Biden is facing new scrutiny over his relaxed campaign schedule.
Biden has not held a public event since his kickoff on May 18th.
Some voters in early battleground states are now asking themselves, where's Joe?
Sad day for sports fans across the country.
Former Boston Red Sox first baseman Bill Buckner died Monday at the age of 69.
A long time Major Ligger played 22 seasons, but will likely be remembered for his infamous error during the 1986 World Series that gave the title to the New York Mets.
It would take the Red Sox another 18 years to win the World Series.
Coming up, my message of the day defending Donald Trump in America is the trend growing.
Right back.
If you are age 75 or older, and if you own $100,000 life insurance policy or larger,
please get a pen and write this information down.
Many Americans are making the decision to convert their life policy into cold, hard cash,
giving them some extra money to pay off credit cards, medical bills, any number of things.
Look, the economy's always been dicey.
Some people need cash.
There's nothing wrong with that.
You may find the cash you need in your life.

Now the O'Reilly Update message of the day,
defending President Trump.
Because I am a simple man,
and allow me to pose a simple question.
Do you believe the national press in America
really wants to find out
if powerful government people actively tried to subvert the Trump campaign and or his subsequent administration.
Yes or no.
Perhaps you've noticed that the New York Times is objecting to Mr. Trump declassifying government documents that may demonstrate
exactly how the FBI and other agencies behaved during the Clinton email information.
investigation and the Russian collusion thing.
You may have also observed that the ardently leftist media is angry
because President Trump has given Attorney General Barr, quote, extraordinary powers
to investigate the investigative war.
Even if that were true, which it is not, why would the press object to finding out
if our federal government embraced corruption during a presidential election.
Isn't that a vital thing for the nation to know?
But the anti-Trump media does not want that exposition for two reasons.
First, corruption established would help Donald Trump in his quest for re-elections.
And second, if the fix was in, that would implicate the press as enabler.
of the scandal.
As an American, I would like to know
if elements of my government
tried to illegally derail Donald Trump,
my wish has nothing to do
with ideology or party politics.
I simply do not want my country
to be a corrupt place,
and I believe most Americans feel the way I do.
But that assessment puts me at odds
with many in the media who are fighting against any fact-finding about the FBI and others.
The Times, Washington Post, CNN, NBC News, and most political websites will use their power
to try to derail and cover up the bar probe.
And just for asking the questions I am asking right now, I'll be sworn for, quote, supporting
President Trump. That means I can be derided by Saturday Night Live, vilified on the net, threatened
by zealice, and attacked personally by the media in a variety of ways, all because I don't
want a crooked FBI or U.S. intelligence apparatus. It is simply astounding that we as a country
have come to this place. President Trump is certainly a controversy.
leader. And if you oppose it, that's legitimate political thought. You should not be
scorned by anyone. We need dissent and debate in America. However, if you are fine with most
of the national media actively trying to destroy a president and then desperately attempting
to block the truth about what could be massive corruption by the FBI and others, then you
deserve to be scorned. That's not what a patriot does. Coming up, something you might not know,
but first. If you watch 60 Minutes and you own a home, you just got very nervous. The FBI's
former head of cybercrimes has warned home owners that foreign and domestic thieves can steal
your home and do it all online. That's because home titles and mortgages are kept in databases that can be
If you have equity in your home, here's how they get you. They simply forge your name onto your
home's title, use your home as collateral to borrow cash, and stick you with the payments,
and no bank or identity theft program protects you. So you need home title lock, America's
leading title and mortgage guardian. For pennies a day, home title lock puts a barrier around
your home's title and mortgage. If cyber thieves tamper with it, we mobilize to help
shut it down. You may already be a victim. Here's how to find out. Go to hometidalock.com

Now, the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. For most of our history,
Americans move to major cities to explore new opportunities, find better jobs, or simply start
over. Not anymore. Hundreds of thousands of us are now fleeing the nation's most populated
state. Between July 2017 and July 18, more than 50,000 people abandoned New York. The number of people
moving to California this year is the lowest since 1900.
In Illinois, a record-breaking 86 out of the state's 102 counties experienced a population
to drop, leading the way Cook County at Chicago.
The fastest growing places in America, states like Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Florida, Texas, and
Colorado, all with little or no state income tax.
As Democratic campaign strategist James Parvold said back in 1992, it is the economy
stupid. Americans not only vote at the ballot bops, we also vote with our feet. Millions are saying
no. The high taxes, rising crime, illegal immigration, unfair business regulations, traffic,
and other issues. A study released this week shows the differing value of a single American dollar
as one travels from state to state. In Alabama, the purchasing power is 35% higher than in New York
city. Those living in Connecticut and New Jersey are only getting 89 cents for every dollar they
spend. Liberal New York Governor Andrew Cuomo learned this lesson just weeks ago. His state now
faces a $2.3 billion budget deficit. Why? Because wealthy New Yorkers are moving to Florida or
North Carolina or other places where taxes are lower. Forty-one percent of those who decided
to leave New York last year, earned more than $150,000 annually.
That is a budget buster for Albany.
In today's America, it's easier than ever for folks to relocate.
The rich can afford to go whenever they want, but the poor often cannot.
And states that punish wage earners with high taxes will likely have many more poor people down the road.
