Bill O'Reilly here Tuesday. May 7th, 2019. You are listening to the O'Reilly Update. And here's what's happening today in America.
The U.S. job market showing no signs of slowing down. The military deploying another aircraft carrier to the Middle East after Iran threatens U.S. troops, drug cartels rapidly expanding into New Mexico.
The U.N. says global extinction just a few years away. Also, I had my message of the day on
Robert Mueller. But first, President Trump's approval rating growing in recent days, popping to 46%
in a recent Gallup survey, the highest the organization has on record for Mr. Trump. The rating
actually tops Barack Obama's approval at the same point in his presidency. Mr. Obama, of course,
went on to win a second term. President Trump's approving numbers lifted higher due to April's
strong economic report. According to experts, the U.S. economy has more job openings than workers
seeking employment. Economists now believe there are more than 7 million jobs available in the
USA with just 6 million looking for work. Over to the Middle East, where the Trump administration has
deployed an additional aircraft carrier, after intelligence officials warned Iranian agents were plotting
multiple attacks against the U.S. military. The USS Abraham Lincoln departed from Virginia this
week and will arrive in the region shortly. Negotiations between America and China are shaky.
The Trump administration trying to get a better trade deal. China likes the situation as it is.
No one knows how this will come out. Chaos continuing along the U.S.-Mexico border as drug cartels
who also smuggle people, expand their territory into the USA.
Officials in Otero County, New Mexico have declared a state of emergency as migrants pour in.
Residents demanding New Mexico's Democrat Governor Michelle Grisham deploy the National Guard,
but the liberal leader has so far refused to do so, calling her state the new Ellis Island.
The UN issuing a dire prediction for the future, claiming more than one million species,
are currently threatened by mankind's impact on the environment.
The new report claims earth's plants and animals are, quote, rapidly deteriorating
as the debate over stewardship of our planet continues.
Coming up, my message of the day, should we wrap up the Mueller thing?
But first, my friend Glenn Beck launched real estate agents I Trust.com for a very simple reason
to help you sell your home for top dollar as quickly as possible.
His team quickly realized there are three keys to success.
One, selling or buying a home is very complicated process and difficult to navigate.
So choose agents with a long track record of success.
No part-time or inexperienced agents in their network.
2. Market value for your home cannot be calculated using computer models. It takes years of
expertise to evaluate your market and to price your home to sell quickly for top dollar. Bex agents
are experts in your neighborhood. And three, home sellers most genuinely like the agent,
they choose to trust their home too. That's why we select agents who are fans like you.
They do business like you and they share your value. Real estate agents, I trust.

the majority leader mitch mccanoll has taken to the floor calling for a rap on the muller investigation
As you know, there are hearings scheduled in the House to put Robert Mueller under oath
to testify about his 200-page-plus report that costs $30 million.
Now, I think it's fair that Robert Mueller be debriefed by Congress.
Certainly the American public, most of us, are not going to be able to read a 284.4.
page report. However, what is shaping up is a very intense display in Congress of trying to embarrass
the Trump administration and specifically the president. Congressman Gerald Nadler,
the head of the Judiciary Committee, obviously despises President Trump. And he wants to
embarrass the nation's chief executive in front of the world.
world. Is this a noble enterprise? The American taxpayer funded the Mueller report, as we mentioned,
to the tune of $30 million. The report speaks for itself. No collusion between the Trump
administration and Russia was found during the 2016 election, and there is not enough evidence
to say the president committed any obstruction of justice. And in our system, under due process,
not enough evidence means innocence. That is our system. So it looks to me as if this continuing
fixation on the Mueller report is simply political. Obviously, we have very vexing problems in America.
These problems need to be addressed by Congress. Yet, day after day after day, Mueller, Mueller,
collusion, collusion, collusion.
Americans at this point have enough information to make up their own mind about whether
Donald Trump did anything wrong in the 2016 election or subsequently when he took over in
the White House. We have enough information. Again, I don't mind a debriefing of special
counsel Robert Mueller, but it must be done with some decorum. It cannot be done in a dog and pony
show designed to humiliate Mr. Mueller and or the President of the United States.
And one more thing. This border situation is totally out of control. And the reason it is is
because Congress, the House and the Senate, simply will not sit down and solve the illegal
immigration system. We cannot continue this way. If you live on the border, you know a
exactly what I'm talking about. If you don't, you see the pictures. 30,000. Foreign nationals have
been taken into custody in the past 10 days by the U.S. Border Patrol. This is not going to slow
down. Congress needs to stop the politicking and start the legislating. Get a fair, tough, and very
clear new immigration policy. And that's a message of the day. We have more commentary on
Bill O'Reilly.com where you can see me each evening. We hope you check it out. Now this.

Now, the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know.
President Trump is widely known for his use of social media to reach millions of Americans
across the country, employing platforms like Twitter to directly address the folks without relying
on the filter of the media. His daily use of technology is one of the many reasons
he's currently sitting in the White House. But nearly 150 years ago, it was another president
who displayed an extraordinary interest in cutting-edge technology.
In this case, the telephone. In 1877, just one year after Alexander Graham Bell was awarded the first U.S. patent for the telephone, the inventor himself, demonstrated the phone's incredible potential to the most powerful man in the free world, the 19th president of the United States, Rutherford B. Hayes. Now, history remembers President Hayes saying, it's a great invention, but who would ever want to use it? That quote, while large,
attributed to the president was never actually spoken by the man himself. An early example of
fake news. The truth is much more interesting. Hayes was an enthusiastic user of new technology
and considered himself an amateur inventor. So when the opportunity presented itself to try Graham Bell's
new communication device, President Hayes was all ears as the saying goes. According to
a local newspaper. Hayes listened to the miraculous device while continually repeating. That is
wonderful. Within months, the president ordered the first White House phone in the executive
mansion's telegraph room, connecting it to the only other phone in Washington just across the
street at the Treasury Department. With just two phones in operation, it was pretty easy to reach
the White House on the new device. All you had to do is pick up the phone in the Treasury and dial
Well, one, how's that for an easy number to remember?
Times have certainly changed since Rutherford v. Hayes and the first telephone in the White
House. In 1877, the population of the USA was just 38 million, far less in President
Trump's 60 million Twitter followers. Now this word. An identity thief tried to steal my
friend's home. Bill O'Reilly here with a warning about home title.
theft, one of America's fastest growing crimes. Your home title and mortgage are online. Did you know
that? And the thieves do know it. With my friend, thieves found the home title, forged documents,
refiled it, and once the thieves get your home title, they'll take out loans and drain all your
equity. You can literally lose your home. No identity theft protection, homeowner's policy,
or bank will protect you. Home title lock is the only company in the USA.
that protects your home from title fees for just pennies a day. Home title lock puts a barrier
around your home's title and mortgage. The instant they detect tampering, they're on it.
Here's what you should do first. Go to hometidallock.com and register your home to find out if
your title has already been hacked. If you register your home now, you'll receive a free
title scan and report, a $100 value, absolutely free. So please go to home title lock.com.
