Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly Update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It is November 1st. Can you believe it, 2023? Here's what happening today in America.
IDF attacks Gaza. Close call in Colorado. South Carolina primaries. And FDNY is against an illegal immigrant camp.
That's all coming up. Then Bill will be here with your message of the day. But first, the IDF has
confirmed that they struck a refugee camp in Gaza. Israel says the blast killed a top Hamas
official who was one of the men who planned the terrorist attack on October 7th. Quote,
the strike damage to Masa's command and control center in the area, as well as its ability
to direct military activity against IDF soldiers operating throughout the Gaza Strip. That is from
the IDF. The head of the FBI, Chris Ray, told Congress yesterday that Hamas terrorist attacks
on Israel could motivate similar threats and attacks
here in America. He said it's time to be concerned. We are in a
dangerous period, but Americans should not alter their lives and panic. It's not
time to panic, he said. It's a time for vigilance. A man was found dead
in a women's restroom inside of a Colorado amusement park. He had two
guns on him and in his car was body armor, a helmet and some fake explosives. Police
say they found him with black tactical clothing and patches and emblems that made him look
like law enforcement and written on the wall in the restroom were the words, I am not a killer,
I just wanted to get into the caves. He was 20. It's illegal to buy a gun in Colorado under the
age of 21, but he shot himself before he went on any sort of murder spree. Thank God.
South Carolina primaries, Nikki Haley's in second place. She was the former governor. Second place,
22% can't even win our home state. DeSanta says 11%.
Tim Scott, who's currently the senator of the state, has 6%. Donald Trump, 53%.
35% say the economy is their top issue. 21% say immigration.
And on that immigration issue, New York City is planning on moving forward with a shelter
for 2,000 illegal immigrants at an old airfield in Brooklyn, even though the FDNY,
fire department says it's not safe because the fire hydrants are old and largely, quote, not
reliable. The local councilwoman says that this is a potential fire trap.
Quote, if they can't put out a fire there in a timely manner, lives will be lost families with
children. This area will have 24-hour security and 21 diesel generators constantly running,
all on taxpayer dime, of course. New York City expects to spend $5 billion on illegal immigrants.
I'm Mike Slater. The great Bill O'Reilly has your message to the day. Next.
Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets.
And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Wednesday, it's Halloween time,
and we are certainly living in a scary era. Putin, Hamas, Iran, China, all horrible. But let's examine some frightening micro stuff
that's all around us. We begin with network television. Audiences are disappearing with mostly
older people addicted to the remote rather than the internet left watching. Therefore, we now
have spooky reality shows like Old Guy Bachelor. This exposition puts up a senior man
trying to convince senior females to like him. For what? Rides in a golf car.
to pickleball matches? What's the end game here? Traction? Too scary to watch. Kale. Why? What is that?
Cale tastes awful, no matter how much paprika you put on it. Kale frightens me more than Matt Gates.
Morning Joe, scarier than the chainsaw massacre guy and Freddie Krueger combined.
Dracula is smart, hitting the coffin at dawn, so he cannot watch Morning Joe.
And finally, Kamala, like a vampire, she has a cult following. Why? If she ever becomes president,
it will be Halloween every day, although there will not be many treats.
I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me.

Now let's go to the mail.
Perry Capitani, Garden City, New York.
While I don't support the anti-Israeli crowd,
I think the media is incorrectly portraying that crowd as anti-Semites,
whereas most seem to be protesting against Israel's policies toward the Palestinian people,
rather than hatred of Jews.
Okay, I understand that, but I wouldn't say,
say most. I'd say it's evenly divided or maybe tilting to hating Israel. Because this comes all out
of the progressive movement. And they hate Israel. Progressive tenant is Israel's a fascist country.
So we disagree a little bit on that. But I liked your letter, Perry. Lee, concierge, remember Lee
is direct access to me. Bill, you're correct. The stock market peaked in July. I've been downhill
ever since and the Biden administration is rolling out Kamala Harris for interviews, given her
lack of interviewing skills, indicating how desperate they are. I know. There's no other reason
why Kamala shows up. Phil, the 2024 election will tell whether or not the country will move
forward. If the Republicans keep on going the way they are, they may lose. Then we're in real
trouble. I don't like either party right now. And a lot of people feel the same way that you do, Phil.
Mark, West Virginia. Bill 60 Minutes may not have had an agreement with Kamala Harris and the White
House, but if you don't think they're in the tank, then I can't help you. That's my phrase.
It seems like they're in a tank. You know, 60 Minutes is not what it was under Mike Wallace and
Don Hewitt. Pretty big difference. In a moment.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
Five years ago today, President Donald Trump unveiled new restrictions on illegal immigration.
In a televised address, the Commander-in-Chief outlined specific policies that would prevent
asylum seekers from abusing immigration law.
Here is the story.
Prior to 2018, the American Asylum Program was based on the United Nations Convention of Refugees
adopted after World War II.
The rules required applicants to meet three criteria.
They must have credible fear to remain in their home country and the United States.
that fear must be based on race, religion, or political opinion. Also, they must prove the fear
is being perpetuated by their home government. On November 8th, President Trump introduced seven
changes to the system. Henceforth, credible fear would no longer include gang violence, drug
cartels, or poverty. Anyone requesting asylum in the USA, who illegally entered was immediately
immediately disqualified. Migrants with the history of domestic abuse were banned.
The administration also mandated more immigration judges to hear cases.
In December, Trump unveiled a landmark partnership with the Mexican government called the Migrant
Protection Protocols Act. Under that agreement, those seeking asylum in the USA would
remain in Mexico until their hearing. The policies were large-level.
successful. During his final year in office, just 400,000 people illegally entered the country.
President Biden scrapped the entire Trump program on his first day in office. Now, all requesting
asylum are granted free entry, given a cell phone, and a travel stipend. Since January,
2021, between 4 and 6 million illegal migrants have asked for asylum. And here's something else you
might not know. The broken immigration system is creating a historic burden to the budget.
According to Economist Services for migrants now cost American taxpayers $150 billion every year,
and that number is growing.
Back after this.
