Thank you, Bill.
It is Wednesday, November 13th, 2024.
Here's this happening today in America.
Trump appointments.
a warrior board, MSNBC for sale, and Ivy League, but clowning themselves yet again.
That's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
We have the latest Trump appointments.
Head of Homeland Security, Governor South Dakota, Christy Knoem.
Director of the CIA, John Ratcliffe.
The ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee.
Middle East envoy, Stephen Whitkoff.
The directors of government efficiency.
Are you kidding me?
The acronym is Doge.
D-O-G-E, that goes to Elon Musk and Vivek Ramoswamy, and the new Secretary of Defense,
co-host of Fox and Friends, Pete Hegzeth.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Trump Transition Team,
it's considering a draft executive order that would establish a warrior board
of retired senior military personnel who would have the power to remove three and four-star generals
and recommend the removal of any deemed unfit for leadership.
Trump has often called for the removal of everyone involved in the Afghanistan withdrawal.
And Trump said he would ask all generals involved in that withdrawal to resign by noon on
inauguration day.
There is precedent for this.
General George C. Marshall created what they called a plucking board in 1940.
I think we should call it that led by retired general officers.
Same thing.
To remove the files of senior serving military officers and removed from line promotion, any
officer for reasons deemed good and sufficient.
The president of Comcast said they are considering selling office.
off their cable networks, which include Bravo, E, sci-fi, USA, Oxygen 2 Crime, CNBC, and MSNBC.
Not sure if this is just a one-time ratings hit, or if they've lost all whatever shred of
credibility they had left, but MSNBC's ratings have dropped 54% after Trump's win.
A group called Stand Columbia Society, which is a group looking to restore Colombia's
rightful preeminence in American higher education, says that with a Trump president,
If Trump cracks down on the university by withholding money, the university could lose
$3.5 billion a year.
Their endowment's $14 billion.
Meanwhile, Yale University has a new course this semester.
Beyonce makes history, black radical tradition history, culture, theory, and politics
through music, where they will study Beyonce's artistic work through the lens of black
history, intellectual thought, and performance.
What an embarrassment you want to know some history?

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Wednesday, Woke is on the run about time, awful movement that is about as un-American as you can get.
Why?
Because supporting biological males competing against females is wrong.
and can be dangerous on the playing field, in the boxing ring, in the pool.
Ditto the intrusion into women's locker rooms by biological men,
even if they have transition.
I don't care if someone wants to change genders,
but that person has absolutely no right to impose their status on anyone, period.
Then their skin color.
It is absolutely wrong to assess an American,
American based on pigmentation. We have strong laws against hurting African Americans and other
minorities. These are good laws. But now the woke fanatics want to discard merit and replace it
with race preferences mandated by the government, employers, and colleges. That is a flat-out denial
of equal opportunity.
A woke country is not a just country.
Allowing criminals to hurt people and walk free is not justice.
It's dangerous.
Advocating government seizure of assets through extreme taxation destroys achievement.
Kamala Harris was the most woke presidential candidate in the history of this country.
She got smoked and she got what she deserved.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it.
you can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to
opine. Let's go to the mail. We got George Vaughn, San Antonio. Bill, you showed a graphic Monday,
which displayed how self-identified Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish voters cast our ballots. Trump swept
Protestant and Catholics. What about people who have no religion? Very good question, George.
78% of those who do not believe in anything, as far as religion is concerned, voted for Harris.
22% for Trump.
You can extrapolate whatever you want from that.
Not surprised.
We got William on the message board concierge member.
My team will help William if he gets into trouble or his family or whatever will help you.
There was a wave on election night, not a red wave.
it was a Trump wave of the common man-woman who voted their pocketbooks. Yes, that was the
primary motivator in the election, I believe. Marv White, Atlanta, but I know you said states are in
charge of elections, but cannot the federal government dictate to the states requirements that are
of national impact like for senators and representatives? No, they can oversee, and that's what I
call for in California and Arizona, but according to constitution, states can run their own
elections. So states that don't want voter IDs, which are the liberal states,
federal government can't force them. Now, I would like to see a law passed by Congress and signed
by Trump that says you have to show an ID and then let the courts handle it. But just the
publicity alone. Patricia Heatherson, Santan Valley, Arizona, what is the protocol when a sitting
congressperson is selected for a cabinet position?
Like a Stepanick from New York, a Republican does Kathy Hockel have to appoint another Republican.
No, because you won't appoint anybody to see it will be vacant until a special election.
Now, if it's a senator, then somebody's appoint.
But it's a difference.
It's always a special election that comes up.
In a moment, something you might not know.
Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines.

you might not know. Back in 1789, Benjamin Franklin penned a letter to a French scientist,
Jean-Battice Leroy. In it, old Ben coined the phrase, in this world nothing can be certain
except death and taxes. A prolific writer, Ben,
Franklin created many common expressions we still use to this day. Here are a few.
Wish not so much to live long as to live well. Don't throw stones at your neighbors if your
own windows are glass. Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little
temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. To lengthen thy life,
lessen thy meals. He that lies down with dogs shall rise up with fleas, and finally no gain without
pain. All of that from Benjamin Franklin in the 18th century. Throughout his life, Franklin released
five books, hundreds of articles. His major work, Poor Richard's Almanac, was published annually
for 25 years. It featured proverbs, colonial folk tales, weather predictions. And here's
something else you might not know. Ben Franklin had little formal education. He left school
at the age of 10 to begin working at his father's candle factory in Boston. However, Ben
was a very curious kid, and he spent much of his youth reading about science, not
literature, and philosophy. He later became an apprentice printer to his brother James.
Benjamin Franklin's first publication was a letter. He wrote to the New England current
newspaper under the pseudonym Mrs. Silence Do Good. Franklin was just 16 years old when the newspaper
column was printed. His pieces were popular among the public. He penned a series of correspondence
called Silence Do Good Letters.
To this day, Benjamin Franklin remains one of the most brilliant men in U.S. history.
And for more amazing stories about him and America's founding fathers,
