Thank you, Bill.
It is Monday, November 25th, 2024 on this Thanksgiving week.
Here's what's happening today.
in America, State Department therapy session, work from home no more, climate change walkout,
and big box office weekend. That's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message
today. But first, the free beacon is reporting that there were two therapy sessions held by
the State Department after Donald Trump's victory. Sources say one of them was essentially just a cry
session. An email went out to agency employees and linked to a, quote, insightful seminar where
we delve into effective stress management techniques to help you navigate these
challenging times after Trump's victory. Congressman Darrell Issa of San Diego said I'm concerned
that the department is catering to federal employees who are personally devastated by the normal
functioning of American democracy. Now here's the more important part. Isis said the mere fact
that the department is hosting these sessions raised a significant question about the willingness
of its personnel to implement the lawful policy priorities that the American people elected
Donald Trump to pursue and implement. Speaking of, Elon and Vivek in a Wall Street Journal
op-ed, said requiring federal employees to come to the office five days a week would result
in a wave of voluntary terminations that we welcome. If federal employees don't want to show
up, American taxpayers shouldn't pay them for the COVID-era privilege of staying home.
According to the Office of Management and a Budget, 1.1 million federal civilian workers,
46% of its total civilian workforce qualify for some amount of at-home work. Worth noting,
when Elon took over Twitter, he fired 80% of the employees and totally banned all remote work.
Twitter at the time had a work from anywhere policy.
The UN Climate Change Conference was in Azerbaijan, 200 nations approved a deal that gives at least 300 billion per year to poor nations
because they are most vulnerable to the disaster of climate change.
While they were finalizing the deal, delegates from the poor nations walked out in protest.
They said the offer's unacceptable.
India called it a paltry sum, an abysmally poor deal.
Sierra Leone said the offer lacked goodwill.
Nigeria said this is an insult.
$300 billion a year.
Wicked and Gladiator 2 opened up to $270 million in worldwide ticket sales.
Wicked was the third largest opening of the year.
Ridley Scott's Gladiator 2, the sequel to the original from the year 2000,
opened with $55 million.
It costs $250 million to make.
Going into the weekend, overall box office is down 11% from last year,
25% from pre-COVID.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Monday, President Trump's getting massive, passive retribution.
Comcast announced last week that NBC News is, quote, uncoupling from MSNBC.
That means the progressive far-left cable channel is done.
As I reported on the no-spin news, my television broadcast, it's a bit complicated.
Comcast owns NBC and has seen the information mothership NBC News get hammered in the ratings as consumers walk away.
Today's show down 30%, nightly news off 20%.
As you know, pretty much every commentator on MSNBC despises Donald Trump.
And executives cheered that on.
But now suddenly, changes in the air, as Mr. Trump is once again the most powerful person on the planet.
First up, MSNBC's name will be changed, maybe to the open border channel,
or maybe the Fidel cable channel FCC. But wait, there's already an FCC, the Federal Communications
Commission, and under Trump, it is not going to be friendly to Comcast if you get my drift.
Finally, there are plenty of haters on MSNBC, as everybody knows, and it's good to see these
people getting what they deserve. It is over. Hope you saved your money. More retribution for
Donald Trump. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me.

Now let's go to the mail.
Carolyn Swoop, Holidaysburg, Pennsylvania. I'm a retired public school teacher 30 years.
I'm interested in your opinion, Bill, on Donald Trump's plan to dismantle the Department of Education.
So Linda McMahon, the wrestling magnate, who's now the Secretary of Education, she'll get confirmed, and she'll downsize that thing.
I mean, Ramoswamee and Musk will go in there with a sledgehammer.
So it'll be there.
He's not going to ban it, but it's not going to be anything, and it'll cut its budget way, way down.
I say, should.
It doesn't do anything.
Education's all local, Carol, you know that.
It's all local.
Dennis Presley, Effingham, Illinois.
I'm a Trump voter.
However, if he forces Ukraine and cede territory to Putin and Russia,
then in my estimation, he becomes the Neville Chamberlain of the 21st century.
Overstating.
Overstating.
So Putin has really been punished harshly in this war.
It's embarrassed him about a half million casualties on the Russian side.
economy tottering, Russian people hate Putin, but the secret police in the military
is still back him. That's why he's there. So what Trump will do is say, hey, ceasefire,
and then there'll be votes, but, you know, that's not going to be anything. I think Ukraine at this
point, the Ukrainian people, latest poll says that, they're willing to say, okay, if some people
in the eastern part of the country want to be Russia, we'll let them. I think that's how it's
going to go down. It's not a Neville-Chamberland thing.
Neville Chamber, and of course, the guy who gave Hitler full reign to conquer Europe, the British
prime minister. In a moment, something you might not know.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
Thanksgiving three days away.
The day is associated with turkey, pumpkin pie, football.
but the origin behind the holiday is far more interesting.
Here is the story.
The feast dates back to 1621, 50 pilgrims from the Mayflower
and 90 Native Americans joined in for a big party in the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
The local Native American behind the celebration, a guy named Squanto.
He was born in 1580 near Plainsworth.
Mimuth, Massachusetts. He was kidnapped by English explorer Thomas Hunt, who brought him to Spain
where he was sold into slavery. Squanto escaped returning to North America in 1619. His entire tribe
had been wiped out by smallpox. Now fluent English, Squanto helped the arriving pilgrims survive
the harsh winter. He taught them to cultivate crops that could thrive on the New England
coast. As an expression of gratitude, the pilgrims invited Squanto and his friends for a three-day
feast, the first Thanksgiving. President Abraham Lincoln made the holiday official during
the Civil War. After the fierce battle of Gettysburg, Abe issued the following proclamation,
quote, It has pleased, Almighty God, to prolong our national life another year. Therefore, I, Abraham Lincoln,
president of the United States to hereby appoint and set apart the last Thursday in November
as a day which I desire to be observed by all my fellow citizens wherever they may be
as a day of thanksgiving and praise to Almighty God unquote sorry a C-L-U and here's something else
you might not know the holiday's most iconic dish turkey wasn't served
way back with the Pilgrims and Squanto.
In Plymouth, the original menu included deer, duck, oysters, lobster, eel, and fish.
Pumpkins were consumed, but not in a pot.
Each dish was eaten with knives, spoons, and fingers.
Forks did not arrive in the new world for another 10 years.
years. With all that, happy Thanksgiving. Back in a moment.
