Thanks, Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America.
new chief of staff, Pennsylvania called
Late Night Breakdown and Monkeys Escape.
It's all coming up,
then Bill's going to be here
with your message today.
But first, Donald Trump has named
Susie Wiles to be his new chief of staff.
Wiles will be the first ever female
White House chief of staff.
Not sure if Mark Cuban finds her
to be a strong, intelligent woman
that apparently Trump refuses to surround himself with.
She hasn't worked in D.C. since the Reagan administration
at the Department of Labor as a White House scheduler
and then on Capitol Hill working for Congressman Jack Kemp.
She left for Florida, where she ran the long-shot Rick Scott bid for governor in 2010
and then worked Trump's campaign in 2016 and then DeSantis' governor's race in 2018.
Again, Trump named the first ever female chief of staff.
What a misogynist.
Dave McCormick, the Republican candidate for Senator in Pennsylvania, has declared victory
even if Bob Casey has refused to concede.
The latest batch of votes, McCormick's lead is.
is increased to 34,000, with about 16,000 ballots more to go.
So the Associated Press admits that even if 60% of the remaining ballots were for Casey,
which they won't be, he still can't win.
Casey says we're committed to ensuring every Pennsylvania's vote is heard and confident
that they end the process, Senator Casey will be reelected.
He won't.
This brings the Republican majority in the Senate to 53.
Jimmy Kimmel broke down crying during his monologue after the election.
He said, let's be honest.
It was a terrible night last night.
It was a terrible night for women, for children,
for the hundreds of thousands of hardworking immigrants who make this country go,
for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech.
It was a terrible night for poor people for the middle class,
for seniors who rely on Social Security, for our allies in Ukraine, for NATO,
for truth, democracy, and decency.
Seth Myers said, it's a privilege to be here with you to not feel alone.
We're not going to let anything take that joy away,
even when we're talking about things that are not particularly.
By the way, Georgetown University had a safe space for people grieving the election loss.
They had milk and cookies, coloring, and Legos, Georgetown University.
43 monkeys have escaped from a bio-research research lab in South Carolina.
Someone forgot to secure the door, so all the monkeys escaped.
Local police are telling people to shut their windows and doors and make sure the monkeys don't get in your house, and to call 911 if you see any.

the great Bill O'Reilly has your message today. Next.
Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets.
And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold.

99. Again, that's 866-326-5576 or text bill to 998899. Time now for the O'Reilly Update. Message of the
day. Grover Cleveland has company. The jumbo politician was the only president to win non-consicative
terms until this week. Obviously, the world is a far different place than it was back in 1892. But the
American leadership system, the presidency, is essentially the same. Old Grover got more electoral
votes than the Republican Benjamin Harrison, a boring guy with a limp handshake. Like President
Harrison, one-termer Joe Biden screwed it all up. So his sheer leader's soulmate, Kamala Harris,
lost to Donald Trump, a man who has regained power through sheer determination.
The former president is the hardest working campaigner in history, and it's not even close.
Someone stop him before he holds another rally.
I don't know if revenge is sweet for Mr. Trump, but he has vanquished his many enemies.
They are bitter and befuddled.
Now, everything in America changes as Republicans will take a sledgehammer to progressive politics.
Donald Trump has plans.
Maga people should embrace a no gloat zone, however.
No retribution is needed.
Having Trump back in power is entirely too much for the forces of the left.
That should be sufficient for Trump supporters.
As for Ms. Harris, well, she gave it a go.
There's honor and strenuous effort, as Donald Trump well knows.
We the people should process the election in that context.
It's the American way.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.

Okay, we just posted on our YouTube channel my interview.
I was interviewed, I should say, by Peers Morgan.
You know, Peers, the Brit.
So this goes all over the world.
And you can see it, and it's about the election.
It's on our YouTube channel.

It is well worth watching, and we really appreciate Mr. Morgan doing it.
Let's go to the mail. Mike Zibo, Wayne, Michigan.
You're correct, O'Reilly. Trump wins.
Thank you for being an honest and fact-driven historian analyst we can trust.
You're welcome, Mike.

Henry says, Mr. Owen's staff, thank you for getting out honest news coverage.
If Trump wins, which he did, of course. I believe the drama will just be starting.
People who don't like him will never stop. That's true, but their credibility is gone,
at least for the moment. Ian, America wakes up this morning knowing that sanity has prevailed.
I look forward to your analysis, O'Reilly, in the coming days. My analysis,
Ian is going to be very important in the next four or five months to see how Trump positions himself
for this country. This guy could change everything. He's got to succeed, but I'm going to be tough
on him like I'm tough on everybody. Rick Romdenny, Argyle, Wisconsin, happiest man in the country is
Gavin Newsom. I wonder when he'll be announcing for 2008. Not going to be Newsom. He screwed up
California so bad he doesn't have a chance. You know what's going to be? Josh Shapiro,
Pennsylvania versus J.D. Vance. You heard it here first. In a moment, something you might not know.
Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker, the host of the New York Postcast, and I've got exactly what you need to start your weekdays.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
The 2024 presidential election, one of the most bitter contests in American history.
As contentious as Trump versus Harris may be, it is not even close.
to the rivalry between John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson.
Here is the story.
In 1824, a four-way race.
Remember, political parties weren't really developed back then.
It was four men.
And it ended with Andrew Jackson getting 99 electoral votes.
Quincy Adams, 84.
But you needed 131 electoral votes to win the White House.
So, as outlined in the Constitution, the election was sent to the House of Representatives.
A period of furious lobbying gripped Congress.
Despite Jackson's lead in both the Electoral College and the popular vote, lawmakers selected Quincy Adams as the next commander-in-chief.
He was inaugurated three weeks later.
Chaos ensued.
Andrew Jackson accused the Congresspeople of making a quote.
corrupt bargain.
Protests broke out in Pennsylvania, Louisiana, New Jersey, other places.
Supporters blame the House of Representative elites for stealing the election.
But the American people had their say again four years later.
After losing the Adams in the previous election, Andrew Jackson accused the sitting president
of procuring young American girls for members of the Russian
aristocracy. That sounds like something we would see now in social media. Jackson's campaign
even labeled John Quincy's wife, a quote, convicted prostitute. In 1828, Andrew Jackson
won the White House with 56 percent of the vote, and Quincy was embarrassed. Here's something
else you might not know. The 1824 presidential election was the first time the U.S.
government tally the popular vote. Before that, each state simply counted their ballots
and formed Congress who won a majority. Some states didn't even bother to have a vote at all.
Local legislators decided the delegates. For more fascinating stories about America's elections,
