Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
It is Friday, October 11th, 2024, 24, 24 days until the election.
Here's what's happening today in America.
Milton latest Univision Town Hall.
Obama makes an appearance and the former governor jumped.
It's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message today.
But first, at least five people killed in tornadoes alone from Milton.
Homeland Security is saying at least 14 people killed in total.
Still 3 million without power.
A local news crew rescued a single mother and four children who were trapped in the floodwaters for seven hours.
A Daytona Beach factory that makes 25% of the IV fluid made in the entire country is intense.
and still running. This is especially important because another factory that makes IV fluid
was in North Carolina and that one was flooded. DeSantis making note that Florida has spent the last
two weeks straight dealing with hurricanes. Univision hosted their town hall with Kamala Harris
last night in Las Vegas. Trump will have his town hall with Univision in front of an audience in
Miami on October 16th. That's this coming Wednesday. In 2020, there were 32 million Hispanics
who were eligible to vote.
And this election, there's 36 million who are eligible.
That's about 15% of eligible voters.
About 18 million are expected to vote.
Nationwide, the latest polls has Kamala leading with Hispanics, only 48 to 43, and that
gap is closing.
Another traditionally democratic voting block are black men.
Barack Obama made an appearance at Kamala's Pittsburgh office.
Obama really not pushing hard for Kamala in any way yet.
They're running out of time to do it, too.
But he had a message to black men.
Barack Obama said, you're thinking about sitting out or supporting somebody who has a
history of denigrating you because you think that's a sign of strength?
Because that's what being a man is, putting women down.
That's not acceptable, said Barack Obama.
Is that a compelling message, you think?
The former governor of New York, David Patterson, the first black governor of New York,
was walking down the street of Manhattan with his 20-year-old son.
And he got attacked.
And the video of the attack is out now.
The story goes that David and his son were walking their dog at 8.30 at night,
Second Ave and 96th Street, and they saw two teenagers climbing up a fire escape.
Patterson said something to the boys.
30 minutes later, he bumped into that same group, but there were more kids with him and also two adults.
A woman threw the first punch, and then the other adult started fighting as well.
Those two adults have been arrested, along with a 12 and a 13-year-old.
Police are still looking for five other people involved in the fight.
New York City is so dangerous, the former governor is getting beat up on the streets.
I'm excited. Bill O'Reilly with your message today. Next.
Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets.
And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold.

99. Again, that's 866-326-5576 or text bill to 998899. Time now for the O'Reilly Update,
message of the day. On this Friday, now that Vice President Harris has stated, she agrees with
everything the Biden administration has done. She has destroyed her own campaign theme of not
going back. If it all worked so well in the past, why not use that success as a baseline going
forward? Nurture the positive vibe, so to speak. Dismissing past successes seems foolish.
Does it not, Madam Vice President? So why are you not going back to the great success that you've
had with President Biden? We should expect an oldies-with-goodies campaign from Commonwealth.
Harris. Let's go retro, enjoy the surrender in Afghanistan, the open border, the massive jump
and prices for the essentials of life. Why change any of that? What Kamala said on the
view is like Trump saying, hey, let's replay January 6th. Now, I understand many Americans
will not believe this, but Kamala Harris has brainwashed herself. She has become the political
Patty Hearst, a woman trapped by a strange mindset. Remember this. Those who ignore history
are doomed to repeat it. Sounds like a good Harris campaign slogan to me. I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at
Bill O'Reilly.com, name in town, if you wish to opine. Now let's go to the mail.
Diane Bach, Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Hey, Bill, I like and appreciate the no-spin news.
I am voting for Donald Trump. I hang up on pollsters. I'm pro-life. Yes, Trump is arrogant,
but that's why he's effective, in my opinion. And that's fine. If you are going to vote for Donald
Trump, you don't have to explain yourself. And if you're going to vote for Kamala Harris,
you don't have to explain yourself. That's your vote. You're a citizen. If you want to explain,
good. Ed Kremeen, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, not Milwaukee, Powwaukee. Hey Bill, there was never a more
loyal soldier in Trump's in a circle than Mike Pence. So now when the former VP says he cannot
and will not vote for Trump, why should any American vote for Trump? That's not what he said.
You want to know what he said?
Because people believe what they want to believe.
Here's exactly what Mike Pence said.
Okay, this was on August 9th, 2024.
Between me and my former running mate,
I cannot endorse President Trump's continuing assertion
that I set aside my oath to support and defend the Constitution.
I could never vote for Kamala Harris' president
in the United States or Tim Walz or running mate, period.
He didn't say he wasn't going to vote for Trump.
He says he's not going to endorse it.
Big difference.
I don't know who Vice President Penn is going to vote for.
I don't care.
What's important is that you quote accurately.
I know it's hard.
Steve Birmingham, Yorba Linda, California.
I appreciate the election coverage to tell behind your reporting bill.
I've used your material regarding the gender divisions and polling when talking to folks.
Most people are clueless.
That's right.
Most people don't know.
Why the No Spin News is so valuable in this country?
Because we do know.
In a moment, something you might not know.

Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. Forty-nine years ago today,
a Canadian writer launched a new kind of late-night show. The 90-minute broadcast featured a
guest host, cast of nine comedians, and two musical acts. Saturday Night Live,
had arrived. Back in 1965, NBC was running the best of Johnny Carson on Saturday nights.
In 74, the aging Carson wanted the program to run on Friday so he could take that day off.
Almost immediately, comic Lauren Michaels pitched an idea to fill the Saturday night time slot.
He recruited National Lampoon Rider Cornelius Chase, better known as Chevy,
to lead the crew featuring Midwest comedians, John Belucci, Dan Aykroyd, and Gilda Radnardner.
On October 11, 1975, Saturday Night Live debuted starring guest host George Carlin.
Critics panned the program.
Some said the material promoted drugs, premarital sex, and undermined the American political system by mocking the president.
All of those things were true.
Well, despite the slow start, SNL grew a cult following among young viewers.
Within two years, more than 12 million Americans tuned in each week, astronomical.
Since its debut, SNL has launched dozens of stars, including Chase, Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy,
Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Jimmy Fallon, on and on.
On the music front from Ray Charles to Nirvana, the world's biggest acts have appeared
on SNL. The most controversial was singer
Sheneid O'Connor, who on the air
live desecrated a picture of Pope John Paul
the second to protest against the Catholic
Church. And here's something else you might not know.
Despite its pedigree,
SNL has fallen upon hard ratings times.
Last year's opening episode,
plunged 20% compared to
2022. Just three million people tuned in. This year, the 50th anniversary, ratings are up a little.
But on average, less than 1.5 million people watch Saturday Night Live each week in its time slot.
Back after this.
