Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It is Tuesday, October 14th, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America.
Trump in Israel. Trump in Egypt. Department of Homeland Security, victories, and ugly people in Portland.
It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
First, the president spoke at the Israeli parliament yesterday. Great speech worth watching the whole thing.
He said it should now be clear to everyone throughout the region that decades of fomenting terrorism and extremism,
jihadism, and anti-Semitism have not worked.
From Gaza to Iran, those bitter hatreds have delivered nothing but misery, suffering, failure, and death.
The president opened his speech thanking God, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob.
And he said after so many years of unceasing war and endless danger, the sun rises on a holy land.
that is finally at peace.
Many in the parliament were wearing red hats that said Trump, the peace president.
The president said it will be a golden age of Israel and the golden age in the Middle East.
Even Chuck Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish-elected lawmaker, praised the president.
He said, quote, I commend the enormous advocacy of the tireless hostage families,
President Trump, his administration, and all who helped make this moment happen.
After his time in Israel, the president flew to Egypt, where he met with 20 world leaders,
to talk about the future of Gaza and also to sign a Middle East peace deal,
the president of the Palestinian Authority, France, Germany, England, as well as Qatar,
Egypt, Jordan, UAE, and Turkey.
They took a picture in front of a big sign that said, Peace 2025.
Trump and the Middle Eastern leaders signed a document the Trump Declaration for Enduring
Peace and Prosperity.
He also spoke of Iran.
They were not there.
But he said that he is ready to make a deal with Iran, aimed at limiting their nuclear
ambitions as soon as they're ready to come to the table.
He said, we are ready when you are, and it will be the best decision that you ever made,
and it's going to happen.
The hand of friendship and cooperation is open.
I'm telling you, they want to make a deal.
Trump said, that's all I do in my life.
I make deals.
And Iran wants to make a deal.
Homeland Security touting the arrest of over 1,500 illegals across the state of Illinois,
among them pedophiles, gang members, armed robbers.
Homeland Security highlighted many of these people, including illegal aliens from Mexico,
one with a convicted domestic battery of a three-year-old.
One illegal alien repeatedly raped an 11-year-old in her own home
after being hired to renovate the family's bathroom,
and the Biden administration marked that guy as a non-enforcement priority,
allowing him to roam free.
Not anymore.
In Portland, hundreds of ugly naked people rode bikes
past an ice facility, just disgusting people.
They usually do this bike ride in the summer,
but they did this weekend to speak out against President Trump's
attempts to mobilize the National Guard to quell protests.
I'm Mike Slater.
I have a podcast called Politics by Faith.
Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Tuesday, not all that much coverage of the Gaza hostage situation over the weekend.
Important story, obviously, but not one the anti-Trump media wants to tell.
They would rather deflect into fascism and all that stuff.
Now, it's clear the Arab world sees President Trump as a strong man, leader, something
I spelled out in my Sunday column on Bill O'Reilly.com.
But more importantly, the Arabs believe Mr. Trump is good for business, so they're backing him
against the Hamas terrorists and other outfits.
In the Middle East, money talks always has.
The Arab posture should help as Donald Trump gets closer to tense economic negotiations with China.
Israel had to go along with the release ceasefire because the USA is almost its only ally at this point in time.
Our return of the hostages is a big morale victory for Tel Aviv, which can now effectively
respond to any terrorist display in the future. So they'll pull back for now. The leftist media
doesn't like Israel at all and wants nothing to do with any positive developments that might help
Donald Trump. So that is the situation as we head into mid-October. It's going to be interesting when
Donald Trump goes to Korea. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach
me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine.
Let's go to the mail. We got Josh Amat, Nigeria. I love watching your program. Mr. O'Reilly.
Been a fan of yours since I was at school in Europe. Excellent, Josh. What if you offer to travel
President Trump to the Middle East?
I would never do that.
I don't offer anything.
If the president wants my opinion and asks, I'll give it to him.
But I'm not part of his administration.
I don't do that.
Okay?
People ask me, and I love my country, and I try to help.
But that's it.
Steve Lang, Sun City, Arizona's retired police officer, I was disgusted
by the recent lack of response by the Chicago Police Department.
to protect ICE Asians.
There need to be consequences.
I agree with that.
But I don't know how you're going to do that in Illinois
because those people, Steve, run in that state,
they're not going to hold anybody accountable.
And I don't think defense can get in there at that level.
John Dring, Port Smith, Rhode Island.
I was sickened to hear Chicago PD supervisor.
are ordering responding officers to stand down while they were trying to assist federal
officers involved in a deadly force incident.
I can tell you that if I was involved in a similar situation, I would have considered
that order to be unlawful and without hesitation, I would have helped those officers.
It would have been interesting if one Chicago police officer had done that to see what
would have happened.
But you know that as well as I do, John, the British protect their job and all that.
Susan, Illinois is losing population.
There is a reason for that, absolutely.
And Indiana, right next door, is prospering.
In a moment, something you might not know.

Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might, not know. Forty-three years ago today,
President Ronald Reagan warned the nation of a growing threat to national security. The commander
and Chief delivered a major address from the Department of Justice where he launched the
War on Drugs. Here is the story. The federal government began regulating substance like
marijuana heroin cocaine in the early 20th century. On October 14, 1982, Mr. Reagan announced
his plan to stop rising drug addiction.
rates in America. During his two terms, he tripled law enforcement's budget, hired 4,000
federal prosecutors who then tripled the number of criminal prosecutions and doubled conviction
rates. Today, more than four decades later, America's drug crisis is worse than ever.
Here are the facts.
In 1982, Reagan days, 7,000 Americans died from overdoses.
That figure is now more than 100,000 every year.
During the Reagan administration, 20% of adults said they had tried marijuana once in their lifetime.
Today, that number is 75%.
One in 15 Americans smoked pot every day.
Today, 16% of adults are addicted to drugs up from 8% in 82.
Half of all unemployed men in America are hooked on opioids.
75% of homeless are addicted to narcotics.
And here's something else you might not know.
As America's drug problem gets worse, many people want to make narcotics more accessible.
City councils in Los Angeles, Seattle, New York, and Chicago have moved to decriminalize hard drugs in the last 10 years, even though that failed in the state of Oregon.
According to a recent poll published by Newsweek, most voters agree all drugs should be legalized.
