So it's the Sunday before the final full week of the campaign. Trump said we're going to have a big rally honoring the police, honoring the firemen, honoring a lot of people, including teachers. We'll be honoring the people that make New York work. Democrats freaking out, of course, James Carville telling everyone to Google, Madison Square Garden, February 10th, 1939.
Starting point is 00:01:20 That's when the Nazis held a rally at Madison Square Garden. So apparently no one can ever host an event at Madison Square Garden ever again. prepare for this now black lives matter may use this as a rally and cry in the final days before the election here a police officer knocked on the door of a woman at an apartment complex and a six foot five black woman opened up and immediately slashed the officer in the face with a knife the officer told this person to back up at least eight times they didn't was able to slash the officer again. He finally fired his weapon, killed the person. The officer suffered multiple slashes to the face. Police in Fairfax, Virginia just released the body camera footage. The victim
Starting point is 00:02:07 was a former NAACP activist. We'll see how Black Lives Matter handles this moving forward. 7-Eleven has announced it will close over 400 of their underperforming stores across North America and Canada. I wonder how many of those stores are not underperforming as much as constantly looted. They cited inflation, lower consumer traffic and declining cigarette sales. 400 stores, it's a lot of stores, but still only 3% of their
Starting point is 00:02:34 13,000 locations in North America. Bath and Body Works has recalled one of their candles. It's called Snowed in, but they recalled it because some people said the packaging looked like KKK hoods. They don't. But it's supposed to be a

Starting point is 00:04:15 On this Tuesday, a new economic survey says that the American citizen, the average person, needs to generate about 4 have million dollars in a lifetime to participate in the so-called American dream. So what's that? Well, it's having decent food, comfortable place to live, options to pursue your interests. That's essentially it. Study goes on to say that under the multi-million dollar umbrella, you can also responsibly raise two children. Let's say a citizen works 40 years. That means he or she would have to generate around $100,000 a year, to be comfortable dreaming away. The bulk of that money would logically come
Starting point is 00:04:58 towards the end of a career when skills have been developed. Also, investments would have to be present. At this point in our history, taxes are badly encroaching on the American dream, especially if you live in liberal areas. That's because the left does not believe in self-reliance. It wants to guarantee the American dream to everyone,
Starting point is 00:05:20 even folks who are irresponsible, even people who enter this country illegally. That vision costs trillions of dollars, and all working Americans are required to pay their fair share, which is whatever the politicians can squeeze out of us. That's what the American Dream faces, not only providing for your family, but also for your neighbor. If the leftists achieve power, the American Dream, will evaporate into a brutal struggle for legal tender.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Be forewarned. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town, if you wish to opine. Now let's go to the mail. David Spanow, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Many elderly folks pretty much have little avenues to gather information about what's going on, and they've always gotten their news from television. Therefore, they continue to do that. I understand. The average age for all three cable news and prime time? 68 to 72. I mean, whoa.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Okay? Tom, a Fleger, Burles in Texas, you asked, my only source of unbiased... You, Bill, are my only source of unbiased information. We appreciate that very much, Tom. You ask why people watch cable news, regardless of its content. My answer would be that they watch what they want to hear. That's true. And that's not good. If you live in a bubble and all you want to hear is what you believe, you can do better. William, on the message board, I'm Canadian premium member. And while reading the confronting the presidents, I couldn't help but notice how the media made JFK seem like a saint when he had some negative qualities.
Starting point is 00:07:12 I am taking your advice and taking a day off from all of the election negativity. JFK got massive, good press, and I opened the chapter in confronting the president's with him on his little sailboat with the editor, Ben Bradley of the Washington Post. That's where it all started. That's where it all started, Camelot. Brad Green, Mesa, Arizona. Are there any polls that reflect probable outcomes of the electoral college? Real Clear Politics.com. has an electoral college map,

Starting point is 00:08:40 18 years ago today, 60 minutes, devoted an entire program to the Duke-Lacron rape scandal. The prosecution and fallout will go down as one of the most brazen examples of media malpractice in history. Here is the true story. In March 2006, members of the Duke University lacrosse team held a party at a house owned by the college. Students hired two strippers from a nearby nightclub. One week later, dancer Crystal Magnum accused three boys of rape and sexual assault. The premises were searched by police DNA samples taken from all the people who were there. The Durham, North Carolina District Attorney, facing a close re-election, pursued the case aggressively. He injected race into the situation, suggesting the lacrosse players,
Starting point is 00:09:36 white males abused the dancer because she was African American. Multiple outlets ran that narrative, including the Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, ABC News. However, on October 15, 2006, 60 minutes to its credit, reported numerous inconsistencies surrounding the criminal case, including DNA results that failed to support the allegations. Following April, Attorney General Roy Cooper dropped all charges, declaring the players' innocent, calling them victims of a, quote, tragic rush to accuse. Well, Cooper, whose fault was that? How about yours? The fallout was significant. The DA who pursued the case was disbarred. The athletes sued Duke and the city of Durham, resulting in financial settlements.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Though exonerated, the young men suffered grave damage to their lives. And here's something else you might not know. The accuser, Crystal Magnum, continued to face legal problems. She was arrested for stabbing her boyfriend to death in 2010 and sentenced to 18 years in prison. The Duke lacrosse story is a tragic tale of false allegations and an irresponsible rush to judgment by a corrupt media. We still have that situation today. Back after this. Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist, and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Every week, I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors, lawmakers, lawmakers, and even the president of the United States.
