and the Medal of Freedom for Charlie. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, Homeland Security said there's credible intelligence that members of Mexican drug cartels have offered a tiered bounty system for any hit against ICE and CBP officers. Homeland Security said cartels are offering $2,000 for intelligence gathering and doxing of agents,

$5,000 to $10,000 for kidnapping or non-lethal assaults, and up to $50,000 for the assassination of high-ranking officials. Gangs like the Latin Kings have also deployed spotters armed with firearms and radio communications to provide the real-time movements of border patrol and ice agents. Christy Noem said these criminal networks are not just resisting the rule of law. They're waging an organized campaign of terror against the brave men and women who protect our borders and our communities. This next story might have something to do with why the cartels are so upset.

Trump authorized another strike on a boat off the coast of Venezuela. This is the fifth strike, this one killing six people. Trump said intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics and was in international waters. Trump has told lawmakers that he sees drug traffickers as terrorists and unlawful combatants and that the U.S. is in an armed conflict with the cartels. Trump's ordered the Pentagon to create a new military task force to, quote, crush the cartels. Last week in a post on Twitter, the Secretary of War said that U.S. Southern Command will lead

the counter-narcotics joint task force. North Carolina State Assembly, which is controlled by the Republican Party, says the legislature is going to meet next week to consider redrawing the state's congressional districts. The Speaker of the North Carolina State House said that President Trump earned a clear mandate from the voters of North Carolina and the rest of the country, and we intend to defend it by drawing an additional Republican congressional seat. The governor of North Carolina is a Democrat, but the state's constitution does not allow him to veto redistrict legislative or congressional maps.

North Carolina has 14 congressional districts. four of them are held by Democrats. The president has awarded Charlie Kirk, the Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in America. The president said to Erica, your love and courage have been an inspiration to us all, and we will always be here for you. Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Wednesday, President Trump praised the partisan media on Air Force One when he was coming back from the Middle East. He was please that the American press actually covered the Gaza cease fire in a fair way. The question is, will the media detente with President Trump continue? The answer is, no, it will not. The left-wing media has far too much invested in harming Donald Trump to ever stop the bashing. Most of the media chieftains are avowed liberals, and they will continue. to loathe the president. However, there is some self-preservation in play. I have it on good authority

that CNN talent was told not to criticize the president during the hostage-release negotiation story. Even a zealot like CNN's Abby Phillip backed off suggesting that Barack Obama give Mr. Trump some credit which the former president did not do. Remember, the Trump hatred only goes so far, paychecks, Trump, politics, so to speak. Soon the attacks on the president will ramp up again. We all know it. Issa is the Gestapo.

The group demanded equal rights for African Americans, self-determination for blacks, and advocated violence in pursuit of their goals. Here is the story of the Black Panthers. The organization was founded by Huey Newton and Bobby Seal in October 1966, after the assassination of Malcolm X. The party's early activities involved monitoring police activities and black communities around San Francisco. Chapters quickly spread throughout the USA. Over time, the Panthers became a paramilitary organization heavily armed. Based on Marxist principles, Huey Newton released a 10-point plan for the, quote, liberation of African Americans. His demand is demanding

The demands included the abolition of capitalism, free public housing, the exemption of black men from military service, and the release of all African Americans in prison. Soon, the Black Panthers had 5,000 members. The party then orchestrated a campaign of violence against their perceived enemies, mainly the police. In 1969, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover called the group, quote, one of the greatest threats to the nation's internal security. Federal agents began infiltrating chapters in Harlem, Oakland, Dallas, and L.A.

Dozens of high-ranking Black Panther officials were arrested. Two leaders, Fred Hampton and Mark Clark, were gunned down by police in Chicago. After a decade of violence, the Black Panthers were officially disbanded in 1982. too. But Remnant survived. Some original members formed the new Black Panther Party in 89. It exists to this day. And here's something else you might not know. Black Panther founder Huey Newton also met a violent end. He was shot dead by an Oakland drug dealer in 1989. Bobby Seal remains active.
