Bill O'Reilly here Wednesday, October 16th, 2019. You are listening to the O'Reilly Update. Here's
what's happening across our nation. Democratic candidates face off in the fourth presidential debate in
Ohio. House Republicans moved to censure Adam Schiff for the Ukraine hearings. NBA superstar
LeBron James facing a growing backlash against his pro-China position. A new study says a
record number of high-income workers cannot afford a new home. Also, I had the message of the day
what really happened in the debate last night. But first, 12 Democratic presidential candidates
did debate a series of issues, including Medicare for All, guns, and crime. Elizabeth Warren drawing
fire from other members of the panel because she is the frontrunner for the first time. We'll have
more on this coming up, as I said, in my message of the day. The liberal squad of far, far-left lawmakers
announcing their plan to endorse Senator Bernie Sanders. According to reports, Congresswomen Ocasio
Cortez, Talib, and Omar will publicly support Bernie's campaign for the White House. Ocasio
Cortez and Senator Sanders worked together to create the Democrats' $93 trillion green New
deal. 125 Republicans in the House co-sponsoring new legislation that would formally censure
Congressman Adam Schiff wore his hearings on Ukraine. Lawmakers say Schiff intentionally misled
the public because he read a parody transcript of President Trump's private conversation with
Ukraine's leader. NBA superstar LeBron James facing a growing backlash after referencing China's
crackdown on pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong.
The world-famous athlete claiming critics of Beijing's communist regime are, quote,
uneducated on the subject.
Thousands of protesters burn LeBron's jerseys and posters on the streets of Hong Kong.
New study from the Wall Street Journal says a record number of Americans earning more than
$100,000 a year cannot buy a home.
The survey shows student debt, rising home prices, and a lack of savings make purchasing a new house
nearly impossible even if you are affluent. The average home price in California, for example,
$400,000. Coming next, my take on last night's debate. Right back with it.
The housing market on fire all over the country with interest rates fall.
It's a great time to sell your home. If you want to sell or buy, the competition is going to be
fierce. You need a great real estate agent to help you. That's why my friend Glenn Beck started
the service real estate agents I trust.com as a way to make sure you get connected with agents
who are successful, ambitious, like-minded, and eager to help you with your biggest investment.
These are agents with a long track record of performance. There are no part-time or inexperienced
agents in Beck's Network. These are all professionals who have the tools and the talent to successfully
take you through the process. Market value for your home cannot be done by a computer program or
an equation. Takes years of expertise to evaluate your market and a price your home to sell
quickly for top dollar. These agents are experts in your town and they do business like you
with your values. So get moving today with real estate agents.itrust.com. That's
real estate agents, I trust.com. Time now for the O'Reilly Update message of the day.
Nothing much new in the fourth debate last night. All the Democratic candidates say the country is
essentially falling apart and needs a massive amount of giveaways from the federal government
in order to make life bearable for the folks in the USA. The only thing different this time around
is the paltry amount of time Joe Biden was given by liberal moderators.
Old Joe got two questions about his son vacuuming up money in China and Ukraine, and that was it.
He did not directly answer those questions, deflecting the issue by attacking Donald Trump.
To me, Mr. Biden does not seem to have the zest to compete for the top job,
despite saying he would, quote, beat Trump like a drunk, unquote. Possible, but the former vice president
has been hurt more than the president in the Ukraine thing. Elizabeth Warren is emerging as
Mr. Biden fades, but none of the candidates really has captured the imagination of liberal voters.
There's no Bill Clinton or Barack Obama in the field. And the media,
especially is worried about that, thus the drive to damage Donald Trump as much as possible
before the campaign officially begins with the primary voting. Now, there is some good news for
President Trump who needs some cheering up. If the Dems do back a socialist candidate like
Elizabeth Warren, I don't believe the working folks will vote for her in great numbers. In order to
by the senator's economic vision, you would have to believe that the federal bureaucracy in Washington
is efficient and caring. It is not. It never has been. It never will be. The debate last night
was kind of sleepy, but my eyes open when some of the candidates proposed putting drug
company executives in prison for causing the opioid epidemic.
Some of the Democrats generally favor letting street drug dealers out of prison. So how does that square?
None of the somnambulant moderators brought that up, and that's the biggest problem with the entire debate
format. The questions are predictable, and the answers are rarely challenged. I mean,
journalists should not be starting arguments during the debates, but they should point out.
when the questions are not answered or the answers don't make sense. Finally, you have to love
the recovering Bernie Sanders, who says unfettered capitalism is the scourge of the world.
Beijing certainly agrees. No NBA controversy for Bernie. To his credit, Senator Sanders looked
vibrant despite his heart attack just a few days ago. Unlike Joe Biden,
Bernie Sanders' heart is in the race.
There are many more Democratic debates ahead.
The hope on the left is that some candidate will catch fire, could happen, but right now,
the campfire needs a few more logs.
And that's a message.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. New York City is home to more than
1,000 statues and monuments. The Big Apple has been called the greatest outdoor public art museum
in the USA. Last year, First Lady of New York City, Charlene McCray, began nominating influential women
for honorary statues. The folks were asked to cast ballots on who should have a statue,
and 2,000 votes for the She Built NYC Initiative were cast. But as they say, the fix was in.
Ms. McCrae, along with former deputy mayor Alicia Glenn, made the final call on the honorees,
ignoring the votes of the folks, ultimately selecting jazz vocalist Billy Holiday,
Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, activist Elizabeth Jennings Graham, and other primarily left-wing
ladies. None of their selections finished in the poll's top spots voted by the people.
The biggest vote getter, St. Francis Cabrini, better known as Mother Cabrini.
But the incredibly secular mayor's office of New York City said, no.
known as the patroness of immigrants. Mother Cabrini was born in Lombardy, Italy, in 1850. She emigrated to the United States at the age of 39 with the Pope's approval. She was responsible for founding dozens of orphanages, establishing schools for girls, opening 67 organizations for the needy. Mother Cabrini is the first naturalized American citizen granted sainthood by the Roman Catholic Church.
But apparently that is not good enough for Ms. McCrae and the de Blasio administration.
The controversial snub drew fierce criticism from the city's Italian-American community, most notably New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Now Mr. Cuomo says he will support the church's plans for its own Cabrini Memorial.
Despite the controversy, Mayor de Blasio took part in Monday's Columbus Day parade, where he was public.
publicly heckled by hundreds of people and called the worst mayor ever, which may be true back after
this. Millions of Americans have been diagnosed with cancer or a serious illness if you are one of them
