Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
It is Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, 19 days until the
election. Here's what's happening today in America. Desperation from Kamala. Early voting starts.
Walgreens closing stores and they can't get the Mexican vans to stop. That's all coming up.
The bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the latest fake news from what seems to be a desperate Kamala campaign is then posting an edited video where Kamala's campaign wrote,
Trump appears lost, confused, and frozen on stage as multiple songs play for 30 plus minutes and the crowd pours out of the venue early.
And then Kamala wrote, hope he's okay. In reality, he was in Pennsylvania with a Q&A rally,
and two people had a serious medical emergency. Instead of continuing the rally as planned,
he said, let's listen to some music together. Even the ABC news reporter who was there,
Terry Moran, said most of his supporters stayed for another 30 minutes of the playlist.
And it may have looked strange on the screen, but inside the hall, he said, people were having a good time,
did not seem out of the ordinary. It seemed intimate.
Early voting kicked off yesterday in Georgia, by far, record number of voters on day one.
If I may, every candidate I've talked to says vote as soon as you can because the campaign,
they don't know who you voted for, but they know that you did vote.
And once you have voted, they will no longer have to send you any expensive text messages
or phone calls or mailers or come knock on your door.
They can focus all their effort and money on the people who are more on the fence.
Kamala did an interview the other day and said in Georgia, they passed a law preventing people
from giving food and water to folks who are standing in line to vote, what happened to love
thy neighbor?
Okay.
The Georgia law says campaigns can't pass out food and water to people standing in line, but
poll workers can pass out food and water and heaven forbid you can bring your own water while
you stand in line or just stand there without water for a minute, maybe.
Average wait time in the last election in Georgia, three minutes.
Yesterday we reported that 7-11 closing 400 stores.
Now Walgreens closing 1,200 stores.
Last June, they said they were going to close 300, and at the time, the company said a quarter of the Walgreens are unprofitable.
Fans at Mexican soccer matches have a tradition of chanting a word that means male prostitute in Spanish.
FIFA has fined them.
Mexican soccer officials are telling everyone to stop, but they haven't.
Last year, a match between Mexico and America was cut early for the chanting.
US, Canada, Mexico are the joint hosts of the World Cup in 2026.
I'm Mike Slater, Bill O'Reilly with your message today.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Wednesday, Vice President Harris will get much attention today
when she sits for a rather short interview with Fox News in Philadelphia.
Obviously, Ms. Harris needs to do well,
and that will require her to answer directly,
not rummage around trying to avoid specifics as she has been doing.
Brett Baer will be the interrogator, and this is not an easy gig.
FNSA viewers will expect Mr. Bear to be tough.
That is, telling the VP directly if she does not address the questions
that she is dodging.
You absolutely have to say those words.
bear not an opinion guy so no one should expect a confrontation but he must accurately report
exactly what miss harris is doing again if she dodges maybe a miracle will occur and she will
finally answer straightforward questions i doubt it but it could happen god is good
I had a similar experience to this with Senator Barack Obama in 2008.
He agreed to sit down with me in York, Pennsylvania to gin up his campaign against Senator
John McCain.
But Mr. Obama is far more articulate than Ms. Harris and understood he was in a no-spin zone,
so he answered the questions and the chat went well.
No one was arrested.
Today, there will be more pressure on bear than Kamala.
He must pose fact-based questions and questions.
call her out if she doesn't answer. Tough spot. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing
it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish
to opine. Let's go to the mail. We got Don Malden, Aiken, South Carolina. I heard Jamie Raskin
himself, he's a congressman, say that Trump cannot be elected because of the insurrection
amendment. He also said he will never hold office even if he wins. I have this on
recorded video. So what? Jamie Raskin is a loon. You don't know that, Don?
He's as far out there as you can get. There is no insurrectionist amendment and
Trump hasn't been charged with any insurrection.
Hey, Jamie Raskin?
Man.
Eric, the media is complicit in the destruction of the American Dream.
I wrote a message of the day on the American Dream.
Only the ruling class will have a great life.
All others will get crumbs.
All that because they don't like crumbs.
No, it's not because they don't like Trump.
This socialistic movement has been, I wrote Culture Warrior,
my book, Culture Warrior.
In 2004, I told you, was coming.
Check that book out.
Charlie, concierge member, thank you, Charlie.
Charlie has my team on his team, concierge membership.
Bill O'Reilly.com.
Please just say I'm voting for Donald J. Trump and all my family.
We couldn't care less what other people do because in the end we don't approve of Kamala Harris.
Do me a favor, Charlie, we love you because you're a concierge member.
Don't say Donald J. Trump.
That sounds very arrogant, Donald J. Trump.
No.
His name is President Trump, Donald Trump, the Don.
But the people who go, Donald J. Trump.
It's like this arrogance built into this.
Why are we doing that?
I don't know.
In a moment, something you might not know.

22 years ago today, President George W. Bush signed a joint declaration passed by Congress
entitled Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq. Five months later, more than 100,000
Americans were deployed to topple Saddam Hussein. Here is the story behind the war in Iraq.
Shortly after the 9-11 terror attack, Mr. Bush accused Baghdad of stockpiling nuclear and biological weapons.
The use of force was authorized by Congress in October 2002.
The following March, the USA launched Operation Iraqi Freedom to eliminate Hussein.
Three weeks after the invasion, the regime crumble.
The dictator went into hiding.
On May 1st, 2003, President Bush landed on the USS Lincoln as a ship returned from combat.
Wearing a military flight suit, the smiling president posed for photos with the crew.
Under a banner stating mission accomplished, Mr. Bush declared victory in Iraq.
But that was only beginning of the war.
A brutal insurgency led by Islamists, targeted American soldiers with explosives, sniper fire, terror attacks.
The weapons of mass destruction were never found in Iraq.
In 2004, evidence of prisoner abuse at the Pentagon controlled Abu Ghrae prison angered the nation.
Public opinion turned against the Iraqi war.
After Mr. Bush's victory speech aboard the ship, the war raged on for eight more years.
The last U.S. combat troops withdrew in December 2011.
In total, 4,500 Americans were killed liberating Iraq.
And here's something else you might not know.
Today, Iraq is enjoying more peace and prosperity than ever before.
The nation's GDP, which peaked at $30 billion under Saddam, has grown to $250 billion today.
The security situation is also improving.
After the U.S. invasion, Iraq reported more than 500 significant.
terror attacks every year. That figure has now fallen to just 10. Back after this.
