Inflation numbers. Meeting with she. MBA gambling scandal and car ramming. That's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the consumer price index increased 0.3% last month.
That's down from 0.4%.
percent in August, economists forecasted a 0.4% increase.
Compare with a year ago, consumer prices are up 3% slightly below the 3.1% forecast.
Core prices, that's a metric that excludes food and energy prices, rose 0.2% below the estimate
of 0.3%. Food inflation, which went up a lot in August, slowed down in September.
The index for grocery prices climbed 0.3% over the month, down from 0.6%.
in August. The president is going to meet with the president of China. She, next Thursday.
The president leaves for Asia tonight. He's going to Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea. He'll meet
with the president of China in South Korea. This meeting comes after Trump announced earlier this
month that he would impose new 100% tariffs on imports from China. He'll also meet the new
prime minister of Japan, Japan's first female prime minister. The head coach of the Portland
trailblazers, Chauncey Billups, and other NBA players were among 34 arrested as part of an FBI
investigation. Billups was charged with wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering conspiracy.
The NYPD was targeting the La Cosa Nostra crime families in two separate operations across
multiple states. Cash Patel said the money was funneled to La Cosa Nostra in enriching some of the
most notorious criminal networks in the world. The schemers were given.
given non-public information about who would be sitting out future games or when they would be
pulling themselves out early for injuries or illnesses.
The FBI highlighted several different examples of where NBA players would fake an injury
and take player would take themselves out of the game so that their partner could win the bet.
Three federal officers were injured after an illegal alien rammed his car into their vehicles
to evade arrest this happened in San Diego.
I said this criminal illegal alien who's wanted in his home country of Kuwait and who has a violent criminal history weaponized his vehicle to narrowly miss hitting innocent bystanders and striking ICE officers before crashing into multiple government vehicles.
This occurred in a residential zone with a 20 mile per hour speed limit near a daycare center.
Two more federal officers were hospitalized after another vehicle ramming attack in Arizona.
I'm Mike Slater. I have a podcast called Politics by Faith.

So join the more than 400,000 Canadian.
entrepreneurs who already count on us and contact Desjardin today. We'd love to talk
business. Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Friday, the World
Series this year has some interesting political implications. The Toronto Blue Jays are not only a baseball
team, but a symbol of Canadian grievance against the Trump administration. You may remember
the brief controversy over a possible 51st state put forth by the president. That would be
Canada. The problem is most Canadians like their country the way it is and want to keep it.
Kind of like Obamacare with your doctors, eh? And so the Blue Jays are playing for national honor
despite having just two Canadian citizens on their team. But
They are based in Toronto, so they are, quote, standing guard for thee, or something.
Now, I find it hard to root for the Los Angeles Dodgers, an organization that honored the anti-Catholic group, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
Yes, I know Shohai Otani had nothing to do with that, but still.
Also, I like that Canadians are proud of their country.
loyalty is declining in this world so i'm going with the jays understanding they will most likely lose the boys a perpetual
summer are rolling and otani has dinner reservations in tokyo come november might be a short series
i'm bill o'reilly i approve the message by writing it you can reach me bill at bill o'reilly dot com bill at bill o'reilly
dot com name in town if you wish to opine let's go to the mail dog concierge member
Doug gets direct access to me so if you're right bill and the president's main job is
combat insurrection protect americans from danger it sounds like Biden did the exact opposite
yeah that's why he's the second worst president ever yeah and the worst president
James Buchanan was he did so he led to the civil war so wouldn't happen if Buchanan had been
competent.
Bob, concierge member, I agree with President Trump, that he is a lot more motivated
than he would have been if he won in 2020.
He's cleaning up the mess as Biden has created.
Yeah, but he's got to get those prices down if he wants to continue because if the House
goes over to the Democrats, everything stalls.
Robin Altena, La Quinta, California, what happens to a judge that rules outside the ultimate final verdict?
For example, a lawfare judge stops Trump and he's overturned what will happen.
Nothing.
Judges have that discretion.
They can make their rulings here indemnified.
What happens to judge.
Jim Thompson, Lovelin, Colorado.
My girlfriend's family are ranchers.
They're devastated by possible Argentinian beef imports.
I wish I could be more sympathetic, but we've got to bring down the price of meat.
And if that means we've got to import meat from other countries, it's what's got to happen.
Greater good.
Patricia Roselli, Cumberland, Rhode Island, I'm 73, self-supporting, and I learned so much from you, Bill, especially information about the Constitution.
I see that you are fair and balanced.
Well, that is our mandate.
We have to be fair and balanced, Patricia, or there's no reason for me to do this.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might, not know.
36 years ago today, a popular TV preacher was sentenced to half a century in prison.
The scandal shocked the public and destroyed one of the largest ministries in America.
Here is the story of Jim Baker.
Jim and his wife Tammy Fay became national figures in the 1970s.
The couple's TV show called the PTL Club, short for Praise the Lord, was the most watched religious program in the nation.
Unlike other Christian displays, the broadcast adopted a talk show format.
The duo interviewed guests took calls, gave advice on marriage, children, and personal finance.
Jim and Tammy Fay took in millions of dollars, selling church members.
ships, timeshares, and so-called miracle products like crystals and holy water.
They built a 2,000-acre resort called Heritage USA.
Six million visitors a year entered that place.
Investigations into the beggars began in 1979.
A review from the IRS found a couple spent $1.3 million of donations on
clothing, jewelry, real estate. In 1987, rumors of extramarital affairs and secret payments
gained national attention. Less than a year later, Baker was indicted on charges of mail fraud,
wire fraud, and operating a criminal conspiracy. The feds really went after him hard.
On October 24, 1989, the televangelist was sentenced to 45 years in prison.
He was released in 94, after an appeals court found the original judgment in appropriate
remarks about the case.
Tammy Fay divorced Jim during his incarceration.
She died in 2007.
And here's something else you might not know.
Jim Baker is still preaching today.
The 85-year-old recently found himself in more legal trouble.
In 2020, Baker was ordered by the FDA and New York State to stop selling a blend of salt, silver, and holy water he claimed was a cure for COVID.
Back in a moment.

the game.
Can you see yourself as president one day?
I don't think about that.
You just had an invasion over our southern border.
My husband is in the corner for the record, pumping his fists right now that you're asking
this question.
This is real talk with lawmakers, newsmakers, and political disruptors.
You know, I think Elon's poor probably fences himself more of a Viking.
