Remember, voting early clears the way for the campaigns to not focus on you on election day. The campaign can instead focus their limited time and money on low propensity or undecided voters. I've been told by a campaign that voting early can save the campaign $88 to not knock on your door. So save your favorite campaign money and vote early. Both candidates are in Texas today. Kamala for a rally with Beyonce and Willie Nelson focused on the state abortion ban. The lieutenant governor said Harris's trip to Texas is one of the dumbest political decisions I've

Construction has begun on what will be the biggest building in the world. It could fit 20 Empire State Buildings in it. It's called the Mukab. It will stand 1,300 feet tall, which is almost as tall as the Empire State Building, but it's also that many feet wide. Of course, it's in Saudi Arabia. Starting point is 00:04:05 Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. The scourge of every election is the uninformed voter. As I always say, the U.S. Constitution gives each citizen the absolute right to be a moron, and millions exercise that right every single day. is a nonpartisan situation. It is not assigned to a particular party or ideology. Dense and lazy cross all boundaries. The Long Island newspaper Newsday recently quoted a voter named Gene, who said this, I'm voting all Democrat because we don't have a Republican Party anymore. Newsday goes on to write, Gene believes Trump could start World War III.
Starting point is 00:04:55 and wants to take away Social Security. Wow, who knew? Social Security gone. Nukes over Moscow. Now, Gene is obviously not engaged with reality, and he has lots of company. In fact, I think there should be a group called Knitwitz Anonymous, Big Crew. When you feel a dumb thought coming on, you call someone, who urges you to be silent. On November 5th, Gene is likely to vote unless he's diverted by a new skin piercing or something.
Starting point is 00:05:37 And Gene's vote will cancel mine. That's the way it works. One person, one vote. Clear thinking, not required. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. I was going to mail. Elizabeth says Democrats have changed their game plan. They are no longer
Starting point is 00:06:09 actively working to get Kamala elected. They have switched their energy to using the 14th Amendment to keep Trump from taking office. And you know this how, Elizabeth. How do you know this? All right. No, I don't believe a word of that. I got to see if they've changed their strategy, some kind of data. If Trump wins, Trump will take office. I wouldn't worry about it. There's been a way to block it. Francis Nesta, Knox, Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 00:06:40 I was fixing my TV for my sister-in-law, and she asked for MSNBC to put it on. There was a gentleman with Rachel Maddow spoke about Trump working at McDonald's near Pittsburgh, a story you reported on, Bill. He insisted that McDonald's was closed and everything was staged. Okay, I mean, you can insist that Martians land in your backyard. Now, what is true is that the Secret Service was there in numbers and vetted people to go up to the drive-in window, but the restaurant was functioning. Propaganda. Charles Pipper, Bullhead City, Arizona. People at columnist rallies hold up sign and say freedom.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Socialism is not freedom. They're not talking about economics. They're talking about abortion. Those freedom signs are all about abortion. And you're correct. Socialism is not freedom. You are being told what to do. In a moment, something you might not know.

The contest between Trump and Harris may go down as one of the closest in U.S. history. However, the race has many similarities to the 1960 showdown between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon. Here are a few. First, the debates played a major role. prior to the first exposition between JFK and Nixon, the two candidates were locked in a tie.
Starting point is 00:08:56 During the debate broadcast, Nixon appeared irritable and sweaty. Kennedy looked calm, tanned, and rested. Public opinion turned his way. Now, this summer, the debate between Trump and Joe Biden was so catastrophic for the president, he was forced to drop out of the race. In addition, the 1960 election was centered on economic growth and foreign policy, the same as today. Voters here are focused on Ukraine and Israel. Back in 1960, it was the growing cold war.
Starting point is 00:09:38 On November 8, 1960, JFK took the White House with 49.7% of the popular vote. Nixon got 49.6, the closest ever. However, GFK won 303 electoral votes. 219 went to Nixon. The race was decided in similar swing states as today, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, and Nevada. At the time, many believed Kennedy stole the election through systematic fraud. Despite credible accurate, accusations of meddling by the Democratic mayor of Chicago, the mafia, and even the Ku Klux Klan down south, the vote was certified. And here's something else you might not know. Richard Nixon's traumatic loss at JFK changed his future. Republican launched another presidential
Starting point is 00:10:36 bid eight years later, but refused to appear in a debate with his opponent on TV. Nixon ultimately defeated Democrat Hubert Humphrey in November 1968. Televised presidential debates returned in 76, have been held in every campaign since then. For more fascinating stories about JFK Nixon and all the presidents, please consider my book confronting the presidents. Back after this. Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines.
