You may have heard that top Trump officials have moved to military bases. The insinuation here is that, from the left, is that there's some nefarious plot to control the military or something. No, it's because there's such a great threat to their lives that the only level of security
Starting point is 00:02:11 that can keep them safe is to live on a military base. Pete Heggseth, Marco Rubio, Christy Noem, Stephen Miller, among others. There's no precedent of having political appointees living in military installations or needing to live in military installations because of the threats of. on their lives. On this Friday, although President Trump is racking up a number of good trade deals in Asia, his detractors remain crazed about the under-construction White House ballroom. They don't like it, even though corporate money is paying the freight.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Now, I'm agnostic on that project. It's free. So if the White House benefits from an opulent space, fine. I understand President Trump admires the grandiose. The issue is really small ball. Just another reason, a pound Trump. Writing in the Washington Post, anti-Trump guy George Will says, quote, Donald Trump, who often makes even defensible actions grating,
Starting point is 00:05:00 acted on the White House with unapologetic unilateralism. Wow, George. Well, I don't want to annoy him, but all presidents do that. Harry Truman, for example, upgraded constantly, as he described in 1950. Quote, I found four chairs at Lincoln. Lincoln had used in his attic. I had them restored. Put them in the Lincoln room. And we'll put them back when the House is restored. Truman changed a lot of things in the White House on public money. Presidents have the power to do that. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it.
Starting point is 00:05:41 You can reach me. Bill at Bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill o'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. Now let's go to the mail. Richard says you keep talking about the mainstream media going down for a variety of reasons. From my vantage point, they're continuing to broadcasts, there plenty of advertisers, trimming their staffs as many companies do, but they'll be around for the foreseeable future. Sure, inside edition is still around. Okay. When I started that program, it was a monster, huge revenue generator.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Everybody talked about it. I was there six years that I went to Harvard. Now, it's on the air. Never hear anybody talk about inside edition? Ever? No, that's what's going to happen. They'll be there. Everyone will ignore them.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Arthur, Bill, it's clear every day that President Trump has caused the demise of the leopard propaganda media. Absolutely right. They hated him so much. The corporate media hates him so much that they lie and they're deceit. faithful, and they're nasty, and people noticed. Even people who don't support President Trump. Let me go, it's propaganda.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Joe, concierge member, Joe gets a direct line to me, and we are on Joe's side. Here's my question. Why does there even need to be a CBS evening news? Her ratings are terrible. They're probably losing money. Brand is badly damaged. All the networks have access to powerful people. in White House and in Congress because of their news divisions.
Starting point is 00:07:26 They badly need the news divisions to continue that access. Robert, Bill, you keep saying there's climate change. Liberals use the term as just another way to grab millions for their pockets. No amount of money will deter what Mother Nature does. Not quite, Robert. You're oversimplifying that. Cleaner planet is absolutely mandatory, particularly in the oceans. So we can use some of that global warming money
Starting point is 00:07:53 to clean up the pollution, the world is much, much better. But this windmill stuff and all that crazy, let's wreck the economy and do all the stuff that doesn't work, that's where the problem comes in. In a moment, something you might not know.
