Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It is Tuesday, October 7th, 2025. Here's this happening today in America.
The Insurrection Act. Where is the National Guard deployed? Latin King's leader arrested.
And this might be a major cause of car accidents. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
but first, the governor of Illinois, J.B. Pritzker, accused the Trump administration of staging
a military-style invasion of Chicago. He said, quote, let me be clear. Donald Trump is using
our service members as political props and as pawns in his illegal effort to militarize
our nation's cities. He then played at this press conference. He played a video of an ice raid
at an apartment building. He said they brought Black Hawk helicopters and more than a hundred
agents in full tactical gear. He said, in the dead of night, and
seemingly for the cameras. Armed federal agents emerged from the Black Hawk helicopters
repelling onto the roof of that apartment building. This wasn't like a behind-the-scenes revelation
that J.B. Prisker was showing. Christy Noem posted the video herself two days ago. The governor said
that the president is doing this to get a rise, quote, to create the pretext for invoking the
Insurrection Act so he can send military troops to our city. Trump said he does not yet see the
need for the Insurrection Act. Quote, but if I had to
to enact it, I'd do it if people were being killed and courts were holding us up or governors
or mayors were holding us up. Stephen Miller said the struggle that's taking place right now
is between the lawful exercise of power by the American people through a duly elected government
versus the unlawful exercise of street violence in the form of domestic terrorism.
So where is the National Guard right now? They are currently deployed in Washington, D.C., Memphis
and L.A. Chicago has a lawsuit pending to state.
stop the guard. Portland's deployment was halted by the courts, but as we reported the other
day, Trump just called the California National Guard, sent them to Portland.
Other planned deployments of National Guard include Shreveport, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.
Related news, federal agents in Chicago arrested a suspected Latin King's leader accused of offering
cash bounties to capture and kill a senior immigration officer working on Operation Midway
Blitz in Chicago. The accusation is he sent a Snapchat message saying,
2K on information when you get them
and 10K if you take them down
and the message had a photo
of this officer. A new
study from Wright State University
published in the Journal of the American College
of Surgeons reviewed data for
246 deceased Ohio
drivers and the researchers
determined that 42%
of victims of fatal car accidents
over the past six years had
marijuana in their system at levels
that suggest recent use.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Tuesday, Chicago, we'll lose its foolish showdown with the Trump administration.
This past weekend, a crazed woman with a rifle in her car tried to run over three ice agents who then shot her.
Almost immediately, the president asked Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker to provide national
Guard protection to federal authorities, but the leftist fanatic Pritzker refused again.
Why?
Because old J.B. says the guard is not needed.
Do the people threatening ice agents have to have hand grenades, mortars?
What exactly is the tipping point governor?
The Constitution clearly states when state officials will not enforce public safety
statutes, the federal government, has the power to step in. So the legal outcome of this controversy
is not in doubt. However, Prisker doesn't care about that. He simply wants to placate his far-left
supporters, and if people have to die, well, they have to die. As everyone knows, Chicago is a killing
field for young African-American men. The drug gangs have been murdering at will for years. J.B. has done
little to stop the madness or even discourage criminal migrants from terrorizing Chicago.
The whole situation is absolutely shameful.
The feds have to act.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it.

Woodridge, Illinois.
I try to stay on top of things, Bill.
I'm how the federal government funds itself,
so I'm hoping you could shed some light.
I thought we settled government funding,
at least for this year with the one big, beautiful bill,
passed by Congress.
We did, but there is continuing spending resolutions.
It was only supposed to be one a year,
but now they're like eight,
because things change.
And that's why they're supposed to have this rational discussion.
It's never rational.
That's what happened.
Dennis DeVico, Cape Coral, Florida.
Why can't the most powerful nation in the world just go in and wipe out Hamas?
So Dennis, you want another Iraq war?
That's what it would be.
You send troops into Gaza?
You got another Iraq war.
I want that.
George, concierge member, George's a direct line to me.
Bill, your message of the day, looked interesting.
please elaborate.
Do you think the Department of Justice
will finally nail Soros?
They're looking at them.
Hard case to make.
RICO is hard.
But they're looking at George.
And George's operation.
I know that to be true.
Dennis Nice, Lakeland, Florida.
Last night you stated,
one year from now, a lot of changes are coming
can only hope the changes are for the better.
Who knows? I don't know.
But the way that President Trump works,
so many things,
A lot of changes, but I don't know whether they're going to be good at bed.
Esther Haynes, Jacksonville, Florida, a lot of Floridians locked into the no-spin news.
Looks like Mandani will be mayor of New York City.
Do you think the mess he'll make will be felt soon enough after, to affect the midterms?
Yeah.
Yeah, I do.
That's going to be a quick collapse.
In a moment, something you might not know.

73 years ago today, a baby boy was born in Leningrad, then part of the Soviet Union.
By his 47th birthday, he would control an army of 2 million men and the largest nuclear arsenal in the world.
Here is the story of Vladimir Putin.
Born October 7, 1952, in what is now called St. Petersburg, Vlad spent his childhood in poverty.
Life was hard for the Putin's. Two older siblings perished during World War II. His father, a veteran and factory worker, physically abused young Vlad.
At the age of 12, Putin joined a street gang that terrorized his housing project. The teenager was eventually recruited by the brutish KGB, the Soviet secret police.
In 1985, Putin was dispatched to Dresden, East Germany.
There he witnessed the collapse of the Soviet Union.
After that, Putin served as an advisor to the mayor of St. Petersburg.
The former KGB guy used coercion, extortion, even murder, to amassed a vast personal fortune.
In the year 2000, Putin won his first presidential election.
Since then, he has ruled Russia with absolute authority.
Today, the dictator has complete control over 150 million people.
He is one of the richest men in the world worth more than $300 billion.
He personally owns 50 helicopters, 20 planes, 13 homes, and a 2 billion.
dollar mansion on the Black Sea. And here's something else you might not know. Putin is now unable
to spend his fortune. After Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the International Criminal Court
issued a warrant for the dictator's arrest on war crimes charges. Now bad Vlad can only travel to a few
countries. China, North Korea, the USA with permission, India, Iran. If you want to know more about
the depraib Putin, please check out my best-selling book, Confronting Evil, back after this.
