Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It is Wednesday, September 10th, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America.
Federal charges for Charlotte murderer. The surge begins. Supreme Court streamlines the process.
And a memo. It's a big pharma. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, the Attorney General, Pam Bondi, has directed her team to federally charge to Carlo
Brown Jr., the 34-year-old
who stabbed the 23-year-old
Rinya Zerutska in the back of the
Charlotte train. Pambandi said they're
seeking the maximum penalty for this
unforgivable crime, and he
will never again see the light of
day as a free man. Trump
recorded a video from the Oval Office behind the
resolute desk, he said, she was slaughtered
by a deranged monster, who
was roaming free after 14 prior
arrests. We cannot allow
a depraved criminal element of violent
repeat offenders to continue
spreading destruction and death throughout our country.
We have to respond with force and strength.
We have to be vicious just like they are.
It's the only thing that they understand.
ICE has begun their surge in Chicago Operation Midday Blitz.
Day one, three arrests.
The acting ICE enforcement and removal operations director said we're talking anywhere
from the most egregious child sex offender to homicide,
burglary, assault, domestic violence.
It runs the gamut.
He went on to say it's everyone that's committed a crime, but the ones we're going to primarily
focus on, the ones we want to get off the street are going to be the most heinous criminals.
This is a 30-day operation for now.
Governor Pritzker said people are frankly afraid in our communities.
They're afraid to come out of their homes.
They're afraid to go shopping.
They're afraid to make their own children, to take their own children to school because they
have mixed status households.
Well, good.
Mixed status means that either the husband or wife are here illegally.
If you're here illegally, you should.
be afraid. Now, don't worry if you're discouraged by that slow start in Chicago.
There was a week-long operation in Southeast Texas. They detained over 800 illegal aliens,
including gang members, convicted murderers, child predators, and foreign fugitives.
The Supreme Court has agreed to hear Trump's tariff case after the administration asked for
swift action. A district court just the other day said that Trump does not have the authority
to impose tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. The court will hear
oral arguments in November.
The president signed a letter
warning pharmaceutical companies that they must
abide by all advertising laws.
He sent the letter to 100 pharmaceutical
companies. The administration said the goal
is to use the laws that are already on the books
to ensure that people receive transparent, accurate
information about drugs.
This is short of RFK's goal of banning
pharmaceutical ads from TV entirely.
In 2024, according
to ad week, pharma companies spent
$39 billion on direct-to-consumer
advertising.
I'm Mike Slater. I have a podcast called Politics by Faith. Bill O'Reilly. He has your message
of the day. Next.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Wednesday, the Supreme Court is still vacationing, but non-hearing
rulings are beginning to come out.
The most recent, a repudiation of the lower courts which are doing everything they can
to stop ICE deportations.
A temporary restraining order saying the federal government does not have the authority
to seek out illegal migrants in this country without cause was lifted by the Supremes.
The truth is, liberal Americans, including jurists,
do not want mass deportations.
They did not object to President Biden failing
to enforce immigration law and have no problem
continuing that legacy.
Let them in, leave them alone.
Rarely will you see a Democrat politician
support immigration enforcement.
It's like opposing abortion.
If you do that, you are expelled from the liberal arena.
Democrats have had
multiple chances to pass new immigration laws that include humane asylum provisions, but they have
not. They could have voted to increase screencards. They did not. The Supreme Court is simply
not going to codify anarchy, which is what Joe Biden imposed. The non-liberal judges, six
of them are appalled by that. So the feds can round up migrants. As the cliche goes, get used to
it. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at
Bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine.
Let's go to the mail. We got a concierge member, Candida, who gets confronting
evil freight, because she signed up for concierge membership.
Pritzker is on MSNBC, stating the National Guard,
coming in Chicago sets the stage for interference in 2026, 28 elections.
Of course he does.
But you'd have to be a nitwit to believe that.
It's just crazy.
Cecile Carr, Portage, Indiana.
O'Reilly, how do you explain how Putin was,
was able to meet Trump and Alaska without fear of arrest.
Why wasn't he arrested?
Because I would have started World War III.
So in the negotiation to have the meeting, of course, the U.S. government guaranteed Putin safety.
Come on.
Let's get into the real world here.
Renee Deweiss, Charlotte, North Carolina recently heard that Donald Trump plans on rolling back
proposed penalties on airlines to refund customers for flight delays.
terrible. I agree with you, Renee. I don't think that should have been rolled back. I think
there should have been very specific instances when you get hose on an airline that you get
compensated for that. And everybody should see it. And that should come under the Department
of Transportation. I hammered Buttigieg because he was the worst. But Duffy's in there now
and Duffy doesn't say he'd be doing much. Let's be fair. Kim Hillebrand, Richmondville, New York,
I have to oppose your comment bill.
We said gas prices going down last month.
My fuel went up from $2.90 to $3.20.
That was the annual Labor Day gouge.
Kim, happens every summer.
But generally speaking, across the country, gas prices are going down.

Now, the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
One year ago today, ABC News hosted the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
The exposition gave the Democrat a slight lead in the polls, which he immediately squandered.
Here is the story.
The first debate between Trump and Biden was a total disaster for the Democratic Party.
So in July 2020, the yelling president quit his re-election campaign, handing the nomination to his vice president.
Harrison Trump went face-to-face on September 10th.
The 100-minute event in Philadelphia was hosted by moderators David Muir and Lindsay Davis.
There was no live audience.
Microphones were only enabled when the candidates themselves were.
speaking. You could not interrupt. No props or written notes were allowed. At the start,
Kamala Harris approached Trump within open hand. The two then shared the first hand shake
between presidential candidates in eight years. The topics discussed included the job market,
women's rights, immigration, foreign wars, January 6th riot, climate change, gun control. Donald Trump
attacked Biden's handling of the economy.
Harris falsely accused Trump of establishing so-called abortion bans in 20 states.
Let's understand how we got here.
Donald Trump hand-selected three members of the United States Supreme Court
with the intention that they would undo the protections of Roe v. Wade.
And they did exactly as he intended.
And now in over 20 states, there are Trump abortion bans.
But again, that was not true.
Now, after the debate, most pundits proclaimed Harris the winner.
Surveys from Reuters, Gallup, ABC, U.Gov, and Pew gave the Democrat a six-point advantage in the polls.
However, that lead did not last long.
Beginning in October, Kamala's approval began to plummet.
She gave a series of disastrous interviews on The View, MSNBC, and other friendly outlets.
A New York Times poll found both candidates in a dead heat.
on election night. In November, Donald Trump easily defeated Kamala Harris in both the popular
and electoral votes. Back after this. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
