Thanks, Bill.
Here's what's happening this week in America.
Charge is tossed.
spy sentenced polling bad and rates down that's all coming up then bill's going to be here from
your message of the day but first a judge throughout three of the charges in the georgia election
subversion case it's hard to pick which of the trump trials is the most ridiculous but this one's right up
there he's still facing eight of the charges but a judge said that three of them that fanny willis
tried to slap all together are beyond the state jurisdiction a former CIA officer who's charged
with espionage for China
was sentenced 10 years
conspiring to provide classified
documents to Chinese intelligence
officials. Alexander
Yuk Ching Ma of Honolulu
arranged for he and a relative
who also previously worked for the CIA
to meet with Chinese security officers
at Hong Kong and provide classified
material for $50,000.
That's what it costs to sell out of your country.
$50,000. The FBI
started an undercover operation
and Ma took a digital camera into the FBI
office to photograph sensitive documents that he planned to then take to his
handlers in China. A New York Times poll found 61% of likely voters believe the next
president should represent a major change from the Biden-Harris administration.
But only 25% believe that Vice President Kamala Harris represents that change.
A majority believe that Donald Trump does.
74% of Americans are very concerned about the soaring prices of food,
and consumer products.
When 61% of voters say we need a change from Biden Harris,
it's going to be tough for Harris to get over that hurdle, right?
The standard 30-year fixed mortgage rate averaged 6.2% this last week.
That is down from last week 6.35% and well below the two-decade high of 7.8% from October
of last year.
We're about where we were in January of 2023.
First in perspective, a $400,000 home with 20%
down, the difference of one percentage point in interest rates is about $200 per month.
Mortgage rates are going down, but prices for homes still remains high, not enough supply,
construction costs, zoning laws, availability of land to develop, and shortage of workers
for new home construction, causing prices of homes to still be high.
I'm Mike Slater from the podcast, Politics by Faith, the Great Bill O'Reilly with your message
of the day.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
Here's a fascinating political play.
Republicans in the House have issued a report that says President Biden overrode his military
advisors leading up to the disastrous evacuation of U.S. forces from Afghanistan.
Rather than accepting that, the Harris campaign is blaming the entire Afghans screw up on President Trump,
saying he made a bad deal with the Taliban and Biden is not responsible.
Malarkey doesn't even come close to describing that propaganda.
However, that's what the nation heard during the debate that the Biden administration's bad policies were the fault of Donald Trump.
Open border, Trump rejects comprehensive immigration reform.
Inflation, Trump did it.
His policies lighted the fuse.
Social disorder, Trump caused the January 6th riot at the Capitol.
Now, political propaganda has always been with us since the first president, George Washington,
who was a bit immune from it because everybody loved them.
But after that, the propaganda kicked in.
And the Trump people do it as well.
Everybody knows that.
But in this very important election cycle, enough is enough.
If you screw up, admit it and try to fix it.
Those are the kinds of leaders American needs.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it.

So Tim says, I've been voting for 50 years.
It's always been a matter of deciding the lesser of two evils.
Some of the presidential candidates have been very noble men.
Harry Truman was noble.
I think both the Bushes were very well.
well-intentioned? You know, I could go on. Everybody, you got strengths and weaknesses,
but I wouldn't say evils. No. James Duke, Dallas, Texas. How can you say, O'Reilly,
that ABC won't give Kamala Harris the questions in advance. I contend some low-level ABC
staffer will do that. That's because you want to believe that, James. There's no evidence at all
to back that up.
So I can't responsibly say that ABC News is going to give the questions to Kamala Harris
when I have nothing to base that on, right?
In a moment, something you might not know.

Peak season begins in late September.
Next, the Berkshires in Massachusetts,
situated 150 miles west of Boston.
The mountain range boasts the most vibrant colors in the USA.
It also has the most breweries in case you get a little tired of looking at trees.
Charlottesville, Virginia, travelers to the Blue Ridge Mountains,
should plan a trip for late October there.
And if staring at leaves get you a little bored, you can take a quick trip to Thomas Jefferson.

Breckenridge, Colorado, situated 10,000 feet above sea level in the heart of the Rockies.
Breckenridge is one of the first places to witness fall colors.
While the trees usually peak by late September, the season can linger into early October.
Mostly yellows in the Rockies, but it is stunning.
A great place to get started on the leaf thing.
Other locations near the top of the list include the Hudson Valley in New York,
Central Oregon, Poconos of Pennsylvania, and the Ozark Mountains.
That is relatively undiscovered down there, but it's beautiful.
The number one place for fall foliage in 2024, Stowe, Vermont.
That state's highest peak is one of the most picturesque places in New England.
90% of the town covered by sugar maple trees.
By mid-October, the leaves turn bright red, orange, and yellow.
And here's something else you might not know.
Fall travel, one of the fastest growing sectors of the tourism industry in America.
Each year, leaf peepers contribute $30 billion to local economies in 24 states,
mostly food, booze, and hotels.
The average cost for a trip to see fall foliage,
500 bucks. I'm going to Vermont. Hope to see you up there. Back after this.
