Bill O'Reilly here Wednesday, September 15th, 2021. You are listening to the O'Reilly update. Here's
what's happening today in America. Governor Newsom survives in California. Arizona sues the Biden
administration. President Biden's poll numbers continue to drop. Secretary of State Blinken
admits the White House doesn't know who was killed in a recent drone strike in Afghanistan.
Also ahead, Vice President Harris is having some trouble. Why?
But first, the results are in, and Californians have kept Governor Gavin Newsom in office.
It wasn't even close. Mr. Newsom had about $75 million at his disposal to defend himself against the recall vote, and that was the difference.
Also, talk show host Larry Elder did not excite people to vote against Newsom to remove him from office, exit polls show.
So, the governor will serve one more year, and then Californians will vote again in 2022 for governor.
There is no doubt, as we reported yesterday, that California is a very troubled.
state. The Attorney General of Arizona filing a lawsuit against the White House asserting President
Biden's vaccine mandate oversteps his constitutional authority. The suit claims, quote,
the federal government cannot force people to get the COVID vaccine. The Biden administration
is once again flouting our laws and precedents to push its radical agenda, unquote.
The new mandate for COVID applies to all private.
companies with more than 100 employees, and of course it will be challenged, not only in Arizona.
Also, Mr. Biden, standing among voters, continues to slide, according to a new national poll from
Quineby Act, facing a barrage of criticism over his botched handling of the U.S. withdrawal from
Afghanistan, the president's approval rating is now down a 42 percent, 50 percent disapprove.
That is a three-point dip from early August.
Secretary of State Anthony Blinkett admitting the administration isn't sure who it killed in a recent drone strike on Kabul.
Multiple reports say it could have been a foreign aid worker.
In a moment, what is the real story with Vice President Kamala Harris?
We'll have it after these messages.
Let's face it, the U.S. economy is understance.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update message of the day.
Why is Vice President Kamala Harris faring so poorly with the American public?
First, the stats.
She was born October 20th, 1964 in Oakland, California to immigrant parents,
mother from India, father from Jamaica.
Attended Howard University in Washington, D.C., earned a law degree from the University of California.
She was hired as a deputy district attorney in Alameda County, that's Oakland, in 1990.
She became San Francisco's assistant district attorney in 1998, then DA in 2003.
She served as Attorney General of California from 2010 to 14.
Then she was elected senator, taking Barbara Boxer's place.
She had Kamala Harris in the Senate the most liberal voting record of all 100 senators.
While running for president, Mrs. Harris received zero delegates dropping out of the race due to lack of
funding and enthusiasm. Right now, the Vice President's poll numbers are bad. Many believe she was a
VP choice by Joe Biden because of gender and skin color. That may be unfair, but that is a widely
held perception. The Los Angeles Times has Kamala Harris approval rating at 42, unfavorable 50.
USA Today, 35 favorable, 53 unfavorable. Both are liberal newspapers.
So what exactly is going on here? Well, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are not close,
even though she does stand behind him on many occasions at the White House. And that's because
she accused him of racism in a democratic debate. You will remember that. He chose,
her as his running mate under pressure from the progressive left. Almost immediately, Mr. Biden tried
to sandbag Vice President Harris by putting her in charge of the southern border and the gigantic
mess down there, a disaster Mr. Biden himself created. In response, the Vice President made it
quite clear, she's not interested in the southern border and has spent only a couple of hours
down there in all this time. The folks noticed. Then there is Kamala Harris's demeanor.
It is chilly. She seems uneasy in public situations. At times she laughs inappropriately a lot like
Hillary Clinton once did. Anyway, she is not well-liked by the people. That is clear. Because at this
point in history, she really hasn't demonstrated any kind of affection for the American people.
It's all about polarization with Kamala Harris. And that is why she is not doing
well in the public opinion polls. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it for more

61-year-old comedian Norm McDonald, who was hysterical if you followed his career, died after a nine-year
private battle with cancer. Now, nobody knew he was even sick. I didn't, and I know Norm
McDonald, or I knew him. And I'll tell you about that in a moment. Mr. McDonald was a Saturday Night
live cast member from 93 to 98, making his greatest impact as the anchor of weekend update for
three seasons. He was born on October 17, 1959, in Quebec City. Norm MacDonald started his show
business career in the comedy clubs of Canada. A contestant on Star Search in 1990, he landed
his first TV gig on the Dennis Miller show, fronted by the man who anchored weekend update from 86 to 91.
the two remained friends for more than 30 years.
Norm MacDonald was then hired to write for the Roseanne sitcom
before landing his coveted gig at Saturday Night Live.
After leaving SNL in 98, Norm started in his own comedy series,
called Norm, from 99 to 2001.
Here's a bit of Mr. McDonald's wit.
That watch the TV, all that's the news.
Make you afraid the news, you know?
Put all these stories on.
Iraq, Iran, North Korea, you know,
try to scare you, you know?
But does it ever really scare you?
Like, you ever wake up in the little night?
Ah, North Korea!
That little tiny country across the ocean.
I wonder if they'll get me.
Plus, didn't Nash settle that, like 20 years ago?
Now, as I said, I knew Norm a little bit, great talent, even greater guy.
He was so nice to my teenage son, I can't even tell you.
He put my son on his podcast.
It was hysterical, and the boy was thrilled.
Norm was special, and I don't say that about a lot of people, you know me.
But he was a kind man, a witty man, and he was a brave man.
And he did not buckle under political correctness.
Norm McDonough will be well remembered by all who knew him.
Back after this.
