Thank you, Bill. It is Thursday, September 17th, 2026. Here's what happening today in America. Fed raises rates as economy booms. Chief gets stuck in Ponzi scheme. She looking unwell, an American Idol moves out of California. It's all coming up, and Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates, a quarter of a point. The first increase.

of rates since July 2023. The president said, interest rates of the United States should be 1% or less because we are the best credit in the world by far. Our country is booming

with new investment. Lower the interest rates for the United States of America and fast. The Federal Reserve of Atlanta updated its GDP estimate for the third quarter, predicting a 5.1% GDP growth.

That is insanely high. GDP growth, maybe 2, maybe 3%. and 5.1 would be double the Biden years. A Texas-based investment advisor who ran a Ponzi scheme defrauded Kansas City Chief Football Player Travis Kelsey, among others, out of millions of dollars. He's been sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Seed hearth, Jahuahar, ordered to pay $31 million in restitution to his victims. Jahuas is from India. He's been in the U.S. illegally since 2005. He used this Ponzi-Ski money to travel on private jets and get luxury apartments and memberships of multiple private clubs across America. Speaking of India, the Bricks Summit was in New Delhi, India. The Prime Minister of India paused in the middle of his remarks and he said,

Is it okay? He noticed the president of China, Xi, was, quote, looking uncomfortable, according to local media. AIDS ran to a side. Some critics of China are saying that Xi is not well, that China is not. and that China is not doing as great of a job of hiding it anymore. She left the summit early. He skipped Modi's big gala dinner.

Putin and the president of South Africa state. She is 71 and there is no immediate successor. American Idol will be moving its production to Georgia for the 25th season, leaving California. The state of Georgia currently offers a 30% tax credit for unscripted and reality television productions that spend a minimum of a half a million dollars. LAT TV and movie production was at an all-time low in 2019. They're now filming half as many shoots as even then. Even Baywatch has considered moving production out of California. I'm Mike Slater.

But based upon our research, there is some danger in the wind. The problem is nobody knows how that danger will surface. Are we going to fight robots in our driveways? There are a handful of companies in America that traffic in this technology, open AI, Google, Anthropic, Space X, and a few others. They are making big money. These kinds of platforms generate billions, but they can be used for both good and evil. That is the problem.

It is unclear what the dangers are that stem from AI. So we, the United States, need a game plan, and it has to come from Congress endorsed by the president. And it should be fast-tracked. I don't think this $5,000 is going to appear, not with a $40 trillion debt, but I could be wrong, particularly if the Republicans hold Congress, but there will be things attached to it. It's not going to just be everybody gets $5,000. Jonathan, concierge, remember that means Jonathan gets our protection. Somebody messes with Jonathan, we get involved.

And Jonathan gives a transcript of everything I say, and a free sign book. Okay, Jonathan will soon be immersed in confronting America what has to change. So Jonathan says, it wouldn't matter that if the Trump is. administration released the tariff data, Dems and the media would say the numbers were false, call Trump a lawyer. Look, those people are going to vote against Trump anyway. That's not who you're playing to here. You're playing to independents, which have turned against the president, and disgruntled Republicans that can be persuaded. I mean, the media and the Democrats aren't ever going to vote for Trump under any circumstances.

Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. 177 years ago today, a runaway slave escaped from bondage in Maryland. Within a decade, she wouldn't be known as Moses, helping hundreds of southern blacks make the dangerous journey north on the Underground Railroad. Here is the story of Harriet Tubman. Ms. Tubbin was one of nine children born to enslaved parents. At age 13, the teenager was severely beaten by an overseer with a 10-pound weight. She suffered from seizures, severe headaches, and narcolepsy for the rest of her life. In 1844, Harriet Tubman married a free man,

John Tubman. On September 17, 1849, they decided to escape the South. The family followed the North store to Philadelphia, walking 100 miles by foot. After working for a year and saving money, Harriet Tubman returned to Maryland to free her sister and two nephews. Year later, she rescued her brother and two more children. In total, Ms. Tubman made 19 trips into the South and liberated 300 slaves, including her 70-year-old mother. She never lost a single passenger during the dangerous journey. By 1856, slave hunters put a $40,000 bounty on Ms. Tubman's head, the equivalent of $1 million today. But Harriet remained defiant.

After the outbreak of the Civil War, she played a crucial role as a spy for the federal government. She often disguised herself as an old woman, wandering around Confederate territory in Virginia and the Carolinas. Harriet Tubman spoke with local slaves, smuggled top secret military plans, to the Union Army. After the war, Tubman lived the rest of her life in upstate New York. She died there in 1913 at the age of 91. Back in a moment.
