Here's what's happening today in America.

Canada to the European Union. Serial killer no longer on the loose. Trump helps hunters and another animal discovered. It's all coming up. And Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the European Union has asked Canada to become an associate member. The far-left Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney, enthusiastically embraced this proposal while addressing the European Union's parliament in France yesterday, calling for Canada's global ties to, quote, take on a new dimension. Carney was visiting the EU headquarters in France a day after the European Union President Ursula

floated this idea to become an associate member. To be clear, prior to her remarks about associate membership, that never exists. It's not a thing. And the EU has not clarified what associate status means exactly. But our president, Donald Trump, called the idea laughable and warned that the United States would interpret that move as a hostile act. Police in Philadelphia believe they found a serial killer. Eugene Horch, 44 years old, was arrested when a U.S. Park Ranger approached his vehicle in downtown Philadelphia

for parking too close to a fire hydrant. There was a woman in his car who said the man was hurting her. She had an ID. It was her photograph with the name of a woman who was reported missing in 2023. There were drugs and guns in the car and fake FBI credentials. Police later searched his home. They found one million digital images and video of five different deceased women and two currently missing women lying unconscious all around his house.

Police found five urns with human ashes inside. Police say there's no longer any threat to the public. The president signed an executive order called Re-invigorating America's Hunting Heritage. This executive order calls for the Secretary of Interior and Commerce and Ag and a few others to expand hunting on federal land, to improve access to land-locked public parcels, to reform Forest Service river access lotteries by prioritizing U.S. citizens, and to streamline approval of seasonal migratory bird hunting. also to allow the use of traditional lead ammo and tackle. The president said on day one, he ended Joe Biden's war on gun owners. One of my favorite facts is how many animals are discovered every year. What do you think?

How many animals, how many animal species do we discover every year? It's about 10,000. Most of those are insects. We don't often find a new cat, but we did the other day. The Tilkayo tiger cat, smaller than a house cat lives in the jungles of Bolivia. The first cat they found in over 100 years. Scientists discover about 65 mammals every year, but this one made the news because it's cute. I'm Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by Faith.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Friday, I'm thinking about the Democratic Party. When my people came from Ireland in the late 1860s, they were signed up by the Democrats in Brooklyn, New York very quickly. In fact, almost every working family in the New York area were Democrats because the Republicans represented the wealthy. Now, California Governor Gavin Newsom, who is being considered as a candidate for president, recently said he will not run for that office if Kamala Harris launches another campaign for the White House. CNN's Jake Tapper got that information during a fishing trip with the governor of California. Nice. Now, it makes no difference to me.

They are both the same candidate, essentially, Newsom and Harris. There's no ideological distance. They are products of the California liberal machine. Both support unlimited abortion. Abnesty for illegal migrants. Election voting, pretty much by everybody, high taxes, and packing the Supreme Court with progressive judges. Survey from USA Today finds Kamala Harris leading in the polling right now, but that could change. The truth is, it doesn't really matter who wins the Democratic nomination. As I've said, you're no longer voting for an individual. You are voting for a

We got a guy who's mocking me on social media for even doing the segment. So we invited him on. And I'll tell you Monday whether he accepts our invitation or not.

But we're always interested in the other point of view. Robert Pitch, Colombiana, Alabama. This AI fearmongering is sounding a bit like COVID. and the climate change hoax. We're all going to die unless we give the government total control of everything. When Bernie Sanders is in favor of stopping AI development, I know something is fishy. I think we need a little bit more than that, and we're on it. We are on it.

We'll end the email with Ethan Sally, Marseille, Illinois. I'm a 21-year-old political science student. I watch the notes of Ben News. You said voters should think about voting for a movement rather than a person. My question, what should a voter do when they agree with the movement's policies, but strongly disagree with the person running it? If it's me, I'm looking at the big picture. How much damage is going to be done by electing someone who is going to go along with this radical stuff?

62 years ago today, a strange comedy series debuted on ABC. The program featured a tall butler, decrepit mansion, and a severed hand. The Adams family had O'Rolle. Here is the story. Beginning in 1938, artist Charles Adams published cartoons in the New Yorker magazine. The panels featured a dark, unnamed family, engaging in bizarre activities while acting completely oblivious to their own strangeness. In the early 1960s, television producer David Levy approached Adams about adapting the cartoons into a half-hour sitcom. Network executives at ABC Greenlit the Project, recognizing the potential for a suburban monster comedy.

Adams and Levy named the family members specifically for television. Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester. Other characters included Lurch, The Thing, Cousin It. The program debuted on September 18th, 1964. The attic, who geek, mysterious and spooky, they're all together, who keep, the Adams family. The Adams family ran for two seasons, but its syndication throughout the 60s and 70s cemented the crew as an enduring franchise, spanning animated series, feature films, modern spinoffs. The show was so popular, it prompted rival networks to launch similar content like The Monsters. And here's something else you might not know.

The Adam's family broke traditional TV norms. Gomez and Morticia, a married couple, are considered TV's first romantic duo. The two broke sitcom tropes by presenting an openly passionate and effective. marriage. Unlike most partners of the era, who were depicted sleeping in separate beds and maintaining strict physical separation, Gomez and Morticia frequently flirted, kissed, and expressed romantic desire back in a moment.
