Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
Here's what's happening this week in America.
calling them illegal. Alaska threat, fantasy football taken a little too far, and maybe the greatest
day in baseball history that's all coming up, then Bill's going to be here with your message
of the day. But first, J.D. Vance says he will keep referring to Haitians in Springfield, Ohio,
as illegal aliens. Kamala and Joe Biden granted them something called temporary protected status.
But J.D. said, if Kamala Harris waves the wand illegally and says these people are now here legally,
I'm still going to call them an illegal alien.
An illegal action from Kamala Harris does not make an alien legal.
A man in Alaska has been accused of sending graphic threats to injure and kill six Supreme Court justices and their families.
He's been indicted on federal charges.
76-year-old man accused of sending more than 465 messages through the public court website,
including graphic threats of assassination and torture.
He was targeting the conservative justices.
two in particular, hoping that they would resign
and the current Democratic president
would appoint their successors.
The FBI paid him a visit last year,
but he did not stop.
Now he's arrested.
I know a lot of people take their fantasy football very seriously.
This guy took it to the next level.
A 25-year-old from Philly, of course,
pled guilty to two counts of interstate
and foreign communication of threats.
So here's the deal.
He got in a disagreement with one of the other guys
in the fantasy football league,
found out that he was traveling to Norway,
So the guy called in an anonymous tip saying that this guy was planning on carrying out a mass shooting.
Law enforcement officers in Norway spent five days, 900 man hours to investigate the threat.
He later admitted he just made it up.
And he also made up a threat against the same guy at the University of Iowa.
This guy faces maximum sentence of five years in prison, three years of supervised released, and a quarter of a million dollar fine.
Shohei Otani had one of the greatest performances in Major League Baseball history.
He went six for six, three home runs, two doubles, a single, ten runs batted in, four
runs scored, two stolen bases, and he became the first player in history to create the 50-50
club.
That's 50 steals and 50 home runs.
35 years ago, Jose Konseko was the first to have 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases.
All Shoah had to do is get a triple and he would have gotten a cycle.
as well, but how can you complain? The Dodgers beat the Marlins 20 to 4 and clinch a playoff spot.
I'm Mike Slater. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day. Next.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
A few days ago, Pope Francis waited.
in on the U.S. presidential race, saying that Catholic voters have to choose between, quote,
the lesser of two evils. Now, I forgive the pontiff's embrace of a cliche because he's a good
man, in my opinion, supremely concerned about the poor and powerless as Jesus of Nazareth was.
According to Catholic dogma, human life is sacred and must be protected. Thus, abortion is a grave
sin. Vice President Harris eagerly embraces the life-ending procedure with no restrictions in her
quest for political power. I suspect the vice president would contend that a fetus is not a human
life. But how would she know that? It's an opinion, not a fact. The absolute certainty,
no matter what your belief system, abortion ends a potential human life.
The other evil the Pope refers to is limitations on migration.
Apparently, Francis believes everyone should be allowed to live where they want with no restraints.
Donald Trump adamantly opposes that.
It is demonstrable that unregulated immigration leads to social disorder and many harmful unintended consequences as governments are overwhelmed.
Whether Francis understands that, I don't know.
But Christian doctrine is built on justice rendered to Caesar.
A few years ago, Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York asked me to finance a number of homes
in Brooklyn for impoverished migrants.
I did not ask about their legality.
I gave him the money.
It was a Christian thing to do.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it.

Let's go to the mail.
Marissa, second assassin, issue 10 in two months, I'm now less inclined to believe it was just a rogue individual.
I don't fall for conspiracy theories, but this is making my eyebrows go up.
It's not a conspiracy.
If somebody wanted to kill Donald Trump in a conspiratorial way, they wouldn't have these losers with the guns, okay?
They have professionals.
Kate.
Bill, thanks for your coverage of the election.
and analytical have been following you since we're at Fox. I also like your attitudes
who are surviving well in our society and your smart life tips. So we're looking out for you.
That has been continuous in my 27 years doing national news analysis. Our theme is we're
looking out for you. I wrote a book, that title. Michael Thomas, Newport Beach, California.
If you were interviewing Ms. Harris and asked the question, is the U.S. better off four years ago
than it is today, and she proceeds to talk about her upbringing, what would you do?
I would say to her, with all due respect, you did not answer the question, Madam Vice President.
Would you like to give it another try?
That's what I would do.
Don Flynn Hedges, Binghamton, New York have a question.
What can the Vice President do about any of the things that she is being hammered?
Could she have closed the border?
No.
But Kamala Harris promoted these things.
She promoted an open border.
She promoted a tremendous amount of spending by the Biden administration.
She couldn't have stopped it, but she could have did what Mike Pence did.
If she didn't support it, she could have kind of just didn't say anything.
She was up there cheerleading it.
Yay.
Give me an O.
Give me a P.
Give me an E.
Give me an N.
Yay.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. Sixty four years ago this week,
Chubby Checkers' song, The Twist, became a national phenomenon. The iconic dance tune took over
radio stations and TVs across the country. Here is the story of the twist. In 1950,
nine, Hank Ballard, and the Midnighters recorded the song. But it didn't go anywhere. It peaked
at number 28 on the charts. A local DJ in Baltimore recommended the song to Dick Clark,
host of American bandstand. Clark tried to book Ballard on the show, but could not. So Dick
searched for local musicians in Philly with a similar sound. He chose Chubby Checker and organize
a last minute recording session. Chubby soon appeared on American Bandstand and the Dick Clark's
Saturday Night Show. The song became an immediate sensation.
and parents, mostly because it didn't involve the kids actually touching each other.
I should say it was most popular with parents.
Chubby Checker capitalized for his entire career releasing Let's Twist Again in 1961
and slow twist in a year later.
He recorded this song in Italian, German, and French.
By 1965, Chubby had 22 top 40 hits, including The Flod.
I and the pony, the twist.
Even at two movies named after it,
don't knock the twist and twist around the clock.
The dance also made an appearance in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction.
And here's something else you might not know.
In 1962, the twist reached number one again,
becoming the second tune to take the top spot on two separate occasions.
The first, Bing Crosby's,
white Christmas. The twist has been added to the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress
for its, quote, cultural, artistic and historical importance. Back after this. Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker,
