Here's what's happening today in America.

Taken over Greenland, the General Assembly meets major win in Germany and one billion barrels. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the foreign minister of Denmark and the new leader of Greenland all spoke, of the new agreement here. The Danish foreign minister said next week could be a good week for Greenland, Denmark, and the United States alike. The next week he's referring to is this week when after the Danish parliament agrees to this, everyone's going to sign this agreement at the UN General Assembly meeting starting

on Tuesday. Our president said, I'm pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an agreement with the kingdom of Denmark and Greenland that gives the United States permanent control over security and all other needs in Greenland, completely addressing all of our many U.S. concerns. There will be no cost to the United States. The United States will forever have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland and the United States of America.

Speaking of the UN General Assembly, the mayor of New York City will meet with the president at New York's Gracie Mansion today. The two have met twice, but both at the White House. This is the first time in New York City. And the president of Ukraine said he spoke with the president and we'll meet this week as well. There were elections in Russia and Ukraine sent a thousand drones into Russia. Many in Moscow, the mayor of Moscow, said this is the largest attack ever on the Russian capital. Also admitted there was an attack at a Russian oil refinery and at a residential building.

In Germany, there was another regional election. This is just a couple weeks after the far right alternative for Germany party, one overwhelmingly, there was another major victory for them in a different regional election. The Prime Minister of Germany said it was a disaster. The Prime Minister's Party had their worst result in a state or national election since the end of World War II.

They earned only 5% of the vote. The head of Sentcom said U.S. forces have supported the passage of more than 1 billion barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz in recent months, while Iran has exported none because of our quote, ironclad blockade. Our military has also protected more than 2,000 commercial ship transits. This volume of crude oil, cargo, and liquefied natural gas moving through the strait over the last two weeks is higher than at any point in the previous six months since this war began.

On this Monday, I'm thinking about the city of Los Angeles. It's estimated that $700 million of federal funding a year goes to L.A. And that means people who live in Maine, Arizona, all over the place, are sending Los Angeles a fortune. some of it to deal with the homeless problem, which is getting worse. Now, Congress wants to talk to Mayor Karen Bass.

She doesn't want to talk to them. She claims she cannot attend any hearing because of her so-called busy schedule. I guess that's spending money. Wait until the facts come out on this story. It's going to make Minnesota fraud look like shoplifting a candy bar. This is a massive fraud of taxpayer money out there in L.A. I talk about it in my new book, Confronting America. You simply can't have a money machine flowing into these states that are incapable of overseeing it.

And California is the worst. They need to drag Mayor Bass before Congress. We're talking about a lot of taxpayer money. This is truly a scandal that is growing back in a moment. I'm Bill O'Reilly. And the view is biased, of course, why can't other broadcast networks get into Italy? Because CNN bought up all of the licenses to broadcast from the USA. Nobody can get in. I can't get in.

It cost me $250,000 for a year, and I'd have to pay every year to get the no-spin news into Italy. It's a ridiculous scandal. Debbie Marcella, Buffalo, Missouri. I've watched most of President Trump's speeches and his chats with reporters. I'm a tad put off as he keeps saying gas prices are going down, as well as some grocery items. Where I live, fuel is remaining at the 350 level or close to it. I can't explain that.

Okay? I don't know what he's basing that on. I don't know. Carol, concierge member, Carol is protected by us. Knowing that freshman at the University of Michigan and others will not receive a first semester grade, and students all over the country are following this, the U.S. is raising fragile humans on purpose. I wouldn't argue against the college, a bunch of wasses. Not everybody, of course, but the administration.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. 23 years ago today, a TV series about organized crime in New Jersey swept the Emmys. The program will go down as the most acclaimed television program of all time. Here is the story behind the Sopranos.

The pilot debuted in January 1999. The story centered around Tony Soprano, a suburban father struggling with panic attacks. He also happened to be the boss of a mafia family. Unlike films like The Godfather that portrayed the mob in a rather glamorous light, the Sopranos depicted average characters struggling with typical problems, like anxiety, addiction, marriage, and raising children. The series featured 27 actors who previously appeared in Martin Scorsese's movie Goodfellas.

Just five people on the show were not of Italian ancestry. The Sopranos was the biggest hit to receive an R rating from the censors. The F-word has said at least 450 times each season. Throughout its eight-year run, 92 people were murdered eight by Tony alone. Despite the rough language and violence, the show would win more than 100 awards. In June 2007, the final chapter aired on HBO. The episode is the most controversial in television history. At its climax, a soprano family sits down at a local diner. The camera shows a close-up of Tony's face. The sound of a door opening, then nothing. The audio cuts and the screen

goes dark for 15 seconds. That's it. Well, the abrupt ending caused millions of fams to check their TV sets. According to series creator David Chase, the ending is up to interpretation. Some think it depicts Tony's assassination. Others believe the crime boss lives on. At its height in the 1950s, there were 5,000 mafia-made men in the USA. Today, that figure has fallen to fewer than 800. Back in a moment. Where some see heroes and others see egos.
