Starting point is 00:00:32 You are listening to the O'Reilly update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater. Thank you, Bill. It is Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025. Here's this happening today in America. Campus tour back on. Kimmel, back, sort of. UN meets and Tylenol and autism.
Starting point is 00:00:49 It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the spokesperson for Turning Point USA says we just pulled off the largest memorial and known history in a matter of a few days. We had no issue. shoes, glory be to God, we love you, Charlie Kirk. They say they tracked over a hundred million overall streams for the tribute. Turning Point has resumed their campus tour. Michael Knowles kicked it off yesterday at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Wednesday,
Starting point is 00:01:16 Megan Kelly of Virginia Tech. Other conservatives will be speaking across the country at college campuses, just like Charlie Kirk didn't. In Trump's fascist America, where the left made a bigger deal of Jimmy Kimmel getting kicked off the air than Charlie Kirk getting assassinated. Kimmel will be back on the air. Disney said last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation in an emotional moment for our country. It was a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We spent the last few days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations,
Starting point is 00:01:50 we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday. He was never fired. The show was just suspended indefinitely. Some affiliates said they will not be taking Jimmy Kimmel's show tomorrow. We'll see how many do and how many don't. To be clear, Kimmel, he didn't get indefinitely suspended because he made a joke about Trump. He said that the murderer of Charlie Kirk was Maga. He wasn't.
Starting point is 00:02:12 It's not true. And you can't use the public airways to lie. The UN General Assembly started their week of meetings yesterday, the 80th session of the General Assembly. 140 world leaders. Brazil, by tradition, always speaks first. and they're going to go on about how America's awful, and then by tradition we go second. Already some drama, France has joined Andorra, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg, Portugal, Malta, Britain, and San Marino in recognizing the state of Palestine. President Trump warned that acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, is a potential cause of autism.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Quote, taking Tylenol is not good, I'll say it, Trump said. said you should talk to your doctor about taking Tylenol while pregnant. Trump said, don't take it. The Food and Drug Administration is going to warn doctors that pregnant women should not take acetaminopin unless it is medically necessary, such as for a very high fever. The parent company of Tylenol obviously said, we believe independent sound signs clearly shows that taking acetamine does not cause autism. The president also talked about spreading vaccines out for children over multiple visits.
Starting point is 00:03:21 He said, don't let him pump your baby up with the largest pile of stuff. stuff you've ever seen in your life. I'm Mike Slater for the podcast Politics by Faith. We have more Charlie Kirk tributes over there. Bill O'Reilly with your message of the day. Next. Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Tuesday, the legacy of Charlie Kirk is now assigned to history. I'm glad his memorial in Arizona was such a success. It must provide great comfort to his widow and the entire Kirk family. You can imagine. with a one-year-old and a three-year-old how Erica Kirk is suffering. When the three-year-old girl looks up and goes, where's daddy?
Starting point is 00:04:05 It's beyond anything that anybody could imagine. Now, in the memorial, there were politics involved, but it was in context because Charlie lost his life because of his political beliefs. The crowd honoring him had a perfect right to hear. his point of view extolled, even though some objected. Sadly, many Americans simply don't want to hear opinions other than their own. Never could understand that.
Starting point is 00:04:36 I guess it's born out of insecurity or something. That's what made Charlie Kirk different. He sought out opposing points of view. The stunning assassination has altered the political landscape in America, as more folks are now paying attention. This will initiate. help the conservative side because the liberal crew is a bit off balance.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Extremism, as damaged liberalism in America, no question. We the people do not want drastic change in our society. And so we go on. Impossible to predict the next big political story, but obviously it's coming. Get ready. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it, you can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com,
Starting point is 00:05:25 Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com, name in town if you wish to opine. Okay, YouTube, got a brand new one on Omar, the congresswoman who's going absolutely crazy. And I'm not picking on her, but I want to get into how far the progressive movement is going. It is kind of frightening. So it's YouTube.com slash Bill O'Reilly. It's free.
Starting point is 00:05:52 I hope you sign up. Got a lot of good stuff there. All right, let's go to the mail. Steve is a concierge. Remember, ABC News continued the propaganda by saying Kimmel was fired because the political pressure from the Trump administration. Can't say it was because their local affiliates would no longer be willing to air Kimmel at night. Okay, look, we all know we're not going to get this straight story. I'm going to do the 400 celebrities that sign this thing.
Starting point is 00:06:17 But it's ridiculous. The whole thing is crazy. They just want left-wing opinion. That's it. Justin Moores, St. Augustine, Florida, a nice town. I'm a long-time fan despises liberal bias, but Bernie Goldberg is right when he says the Fairness Doctrine was repealed by President Reagan.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Sure, but the doctrine that you have to serve the public has not been repealed. is blacking out, 77 million voters serving the American public? Justin? No. Vincent Vital, Lexington, Kentucky, a bill, you said the view hasn't booked any conservative guests,
Starting point is 00:07:06 didn't they have Arnold Schwarzenegger on? Arnold's about as far from a conservative as you can get, big global warming guy, big abortion guy. I don't know the last time that Arnold Schwarzenegger, I guess he's fiscally conservative, but no, not conservative. And he hates Trump. In a moment, something you might not know. Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might, not know.
Starting point is 00:07:35 People believe what they want to believe. The left in America fervently puts forth that their freedom of speech is being threatened by President Trump. No amount of debate will ever disway them because, liberals derive comfort from that point of view. Trump is squashing speech. But what about the truth of the matter? First of up, the leftist media have been trampling freedom of expression ever since Donald Trump began gathering political power. I know this because as the best-selling non-fiction author in the world, I have to promote my books to alert folks they're in the marketplace. place. Before the Trump era, that was not a problem. I had access to the networks, no longer,
Starting point is 00:08:22 and it's not only me. Jimmy Kimmel wouldn't book any non-liberal guests, nor would Colbert. When Jimmy Fallon recently spoke with Gray Gutfeld made headlines because the situation was so rare. The morning network news programs exclude almost all conservatives or traditional people. The view totally blacks out non-liberals as does Jane Pauley on the CBS Sunday morning program
Starting point is 00:08:54 conservative commentator Mark Levin has written a series of bestsellers. Have you seen him on the networks? So the most powerful media companies in the world have totally shut down speech that opposes liberalism.
Starting point is 00:09:10 And that's fine with many on the left. Nothing to see. here or here here. Business as usual. Liberal opinion on display 24-7. Conservative thoughts, sorry, we're closed. This exclusion is a colossal violation of free speech, dangerous to the nation, Putin's stuff.
Starting point is 00:09:36 However, you'll not hear that spoken on the network news talk programs, which are now loudly bemoaning Jimmy Kimmel's exit. Hey, how about some honesty and fairness for a change, network people? How about a debate on all this freedom of speech? How about you acknowledging how you have crushed expression? Not holding my breath. Back after this. Thank you for listening to the O'Reilly update. I am Bill O'Reilly. For more news and honest analysis, please go to Bill O'Reilly.com. No spin, just facts, and always looking out for you.
