Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It is Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America.
Terrorists killed. Chicagoans killed. Space Command moves. And Trump is alive. It's all coming up.
Then Bill is going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the president wrote on Truth Social that U.S. military forces conducted a kinetic strike against positively identified.
Trend de Aragua narco-terrorists in the Southcom area of responsibility.
DDA is a designated foreign terrorist organization operating under the control of Nicholas
Maduro, responsible for mass murder, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and acts of violence
and terror across the United States and Western Hemisphere.
The strike occurred while the terrorists were at sea and international waters, transporting
illegal narcotics headed to the United States.
The strike resulted in 11 terrorists killed in action.
No U.S. forces were injured.
in the strike. Please let this service notice to anybody even thinking about bringing drugs into
the United States of America. Beware, thank you for your attention to this matter with lots of
exclamation points. The president also posted a 32nd video, what looks like a boat with maybe three
outboard motors, and then it gets blown up. Marco Rubio recently said we have to start treating
them as armed terrorist organizations, not simply drug dealing organizations. The death toll in Chicago
increased to eight over the weekend. Fifty-eight people shot. Eight.
killed, including a 14-year-old that says the president is preparing for a crackdown on
illegal immigration and crime in Chicago. But the mayor and J.B. Pritzker, the governor, are fighting
the president. Trump said Chicago is the most dangerous city in the world by far. Pritzker needs help
badly. He just doesn't know it yet. I'll solve the crime problem fast, just like I did in D.C.
Chicago will be safe again and soon. Pritzker's recent responses, there's no emergency.
Donald Trump is attempting to manufacture a crisis. And my favorite, big cities have
crime. Like, oh, it's a big deal. What's the video? Just eight people murdered in my city over this
weekend. The president announced that U.S. Space Command is moving its headquarters from Colorado
Springs to Huntsville, Alabama. Trump made this announcement in his first term, actually,
but then Biden undid it, keeping it in Colorado. Well, Trump just redid it. The Colorado
congressional delegation said they'll fight it, but not much they can do. People on the left over
the weekend had this rumor going around that the president is dead. Well, a reporter asked the
president about the rumors. Trump said, I've heard it's sort of crazy, but last week I did
numerous news conferences. And then I didn't do any for two days. And they said, oh, there must be
something wrong with him. Biden wouldn't do them for months. You wouldn't see him. And nobody in the
media ever said there was anything wrong with him. And just to show how deep this ridiculous rumor
went. When Trump wrote a truth post about Chicago, the governor responded, why don't you send everyone
proof of life first? It's the best that the left has at the moment, just their wishful thinking.
I'm Mike Slater for the podcast. Politics by Faith. Bill O'Reilly is back with your message of the day. Next.
Time now for the O'Reilly update, message of the day. On this Wednesday, National Guard and Federal agents could be on their way to Chicago this week because that city remains a violent mess.
Illinois authorities say there's no need for the feds that the murder rate is coming down. And that's true.
However, let's consider the last year, 2004.
578 human beings were killed in Chicago, 423 of them, African American.
Black drug gangs are primarily responsible for the slaughter, which mostly takes place in
poor areas where citizens have little protection.
Like Mexico, if they inform on or testify against gang members, they become targets.
so most homicides go unpunished.
Based upon the success of the Washington, D.C., federal law enforcement presence,
President Trump seems to duplicate that in Chicago.
But Illinois Governor Pritzker and Windy City Mayor Johnson both oppose added federal protections.
Pritzker is a machine politician who savers ideological governance.
No problem solving for J.B. Nope.
it's all left-wing gibberish.
Johnson is simply horrendous.
He is worse than the previous mayor, Lori Lightfoot.
Neither of those men are going to solve the violent crime problem in Chicago.
So federal intrusion is needed.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.

Norman says,
the state of the union
were more stable,
President Trump wouldn't have to be like
Alexander Hamilton. Parts of the USA are a mess. Innocent people are being victimized. Trump is
a superman. Okay. So I wrote a column and said Donald Trump is Alexander Hamilton. And whereupon
all the Broadway people that put on the play Hamilton had heart attacks. It's exactly the
same. You can punch that up on bill o'Reilly.com. Peter, concierge member, we need to be very
careful of centralized power. In the wrong hands, it becomes a tool for tyranny.
Bill McDaniel, Arlington, Texas. Bill, I disagree with your viewpoint on the House Ethics
Committee. If the chairman led it out who they were looking or investigating, the media
go crazy and blow it out of proportion. It's best to keep something secret. No. We the people
have a right to know who's being looked at. I understand the media. Corruptus.
they come, but I'm a private citizen, and I get hammered every time anybody floats a rumor
around me. So you're supposed to give these people into Congress more protection? Come on.
John Pellegrino, Point Pleasant Borough, New Jersey, closing the border is good, fighting
crime is good. My wallet, however, is no better off today than under Biden. You got to give
it a little time. I would think there, John, right? Economics to live.
little time to unfold, but I'll tell you that that is the big issue for the midterms.

On this day
1783
Representatives from both the United States
and Great Britain
met in Paris. There they signed a treaty formally recognizing the independence of the New
America. Here is the story behind the Revolutionary War. The Continental Army was created in
1775 after the battles of Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts. At a meeting of the
Second Congress, American Patriots agreed that a unified force was necessary to protect them
from King George, who was a tyrant.
They unanimously selected 42-year-old George Washington
as the commander-in-chief.
Washington had fought successfully in the French and Indian War.
The units were trained, given uniforms, organized into brigades.
Despite suffering defeats in upstate New York, Long Island, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and New Jersey,
the American Army soldiered on.
Throughout its eight years of operation,
about 250,000 men served in the Continental Army,
30,000 wounded, 8,000 killed.
Against all odds, the Americans slowly beat back to British.
On October 19th, 1781, British General George Corn Wallace
surrendered in Yorktown, Virginia.
Under his command, 8,000 soldiers, 900 sailors, 45 ships, 150 cannon.
Although the Revolutionary War persisted in the Atlantic Ocean and other theaters around the world,
the Patriot Victory at Yorktown ended combat in North America.
The colonies had gained their freedom.
And here's something else you might not know.
The American victory over the British is one of the most unlikely scenarios in military
history. Based on manpower, economic strength, resources, boats, and firepower,
the Patriots were outnumbered 15 to 1. By modern standards, that's the equivalent of Poland,
defeating the USA in a war. For more fascinating stories about America's struggle for
independence, please check out my best-selling book, Killing England. Back after that.
