Hey Bill O'Reilly here.
Welcome to the No Spin News Monday, August 5th,
2024, stand up for your country.
Well, no VP announcement for Kamala Harris yet.
As some of you know, we tape this program in the afternoon
and it airs anytime you want, if you're premium or concierge members, and on our distribution
network on radio and television, it begins at 6 p.m. So if an announcement is made by Vice
President Harris, you go directly to Bill O'Reilly.com, and I'll have analysis right there for you.
Okay, so we have a good system here. We don't miss anything. So whenever news breaks of any kind of
importance, just go to Bill O'Reilly.com, page one, message. And you don't have to be a member.
Anybody can go and see it, but that's where it will be. Now, Ms. Harris has to announce today
because she's going to Philadelphia tomorrow with whoever the VP selection is. So they obviously
know who it is, but they're holding it back. And I suspect it'll come this evening.
Now, election news is dominating everything, even though I hoped that we would get at least part of August off.
That doesn't seem to be happening.
And we've got a tremendous rundown.
We're way ahead of this, as you may know, today.
So hold on tight.
The talking points memo, however, is the stock market.
So predictably, I actually told my advisor.
as financial advisors last week, there was going to be a significant pullback in the market.
It's too much turbulence, and the stock market doesn't like that.
So the market in the spring believed Donald Trump would defeat Joe Biden,
and that's what the market, generally speaking, wants to happen because Trump is a capitalist
and the Biden administration governed far left, almost to the socialist realm.
And the stock market doesn't want that.
Companies don't want that.
But once Biden pulled out and Harris started to emerge and is getting traction in the polls, people get nervous.
But that isn't the primary reason that stocks are going down.
The primary reason is that the United States is a consumer-driven economy.
That means you and I drive the company profits by spending.
Americans are world-class spenders.
We're not savers.
spend. And over the Biden administration, we've spent a lot because there's been a lot of government
money flowing into various things. You remember the COVID payments and all that. Okay. So I'm going to
break it down and not be an economic pinhead because you can't understand what these people
are saying. But the American public, the consumer, spends money and spends it at a very high level.
that buoys companies and corporations.
So their stock price goes up because they make more money.
That's simple, right?
Okay.
Now Americans are running out of money because of the high prices.
It's appalling how much that retail stores includes grocery and restaurants and everything are charging,
not to mention the gas prices.
So we are running out of money.
And every survey says that, that most Americans don't have $5,000 to fall back on in case something bad happens.
And so we are forced to cut back on spending now.
Forced.
That's why you're seeing, and remember, the stock market is always ahead.
It doesn't react to what happens tomorrow.
It reacts to what they think is going to happen in November.
They're not sure now whether Harris is going to get in.
Remember, Harris has pledged to raise taxes on every corporation and company in this country.
And those taxes will be passed on a consumer.
That's economic disaster.
But most Americans don't understand this, which is why I'm pleased to be delivering this memo to you tonight.
Okay.
So day one, Joe Biden ignited ferocious inflation.
The Democrat manager has, oh, inflation is coming down.
Sure, it's coming down for more than 10%.
But the high prices aren't coming down, just the rate of growth in the inflationary area coming down.
So, again, people don't understand that.
They think prices are coming.
No, they're not.
They're staying where they were or even going up.
Okay.
Now, Biden did this in two ways.
when attacking the fossil fuel industry on day one with the executive order,
slapping all kinds of regulations on them,
stopping all drilling on federal land for oil and fossil fuels,
making it very difficult for the energy companies to harvest.
Energy companies knew that right away, okay,
and then lifted their prices to cover, all right,
them not having the product they used to have under Trump.
Do you see what I mean?
Once the energy price is lifted, then everything lifted.
The truckers to the food, to the market, everything went higher.
That's number one.
And then Biden flooded the market with trillions of dollars in government spending.
There were way too many dollars.
Whenever you have anything too much, the value of that anything goes down.
Most valuable things in the world are things that are not common.
So you've got to keep the spending under control.
Harris will double if she gets elected.
Well, double the entitlement spending that even Biden has.
And fossil fuels?
She's the queen of climate change.
Only abortion is more important to Kamala Harris than climate change.
So you get what I'm telling you here.
The stock market knows all that.
They know all that.
These are smart people.
And they're getting nervous.
And they're selling off, which is what you see.
Now, finally, in the talking points, remember, what should you do?
So back in the spring of 2020, April 11th, to be precise, we had a pretty robust stock market pullback.
And I got lots of letters, what should I do?
What should I do?
Here's what I said.
Go.
So here's what I'm doing.
So you know, and this is the smart life segment.
I'm holding about 22% of my assets in the stock market.
A few individual stocks, mostly mutual funds, hedge fund type of thing.
I have a trusted financial team, not just one, because I have a lot of assets.
I'm lucky enough to have them.
And I have about that in stocks.
I am holding that.
Now, if you took my smart life advice,
you would made a lot of money.
From April, 2023 to August, 2024,
stock mark is way up.
But I always tell people, if you're gonna buy a stock,
you gotta put a stop, STOP on a 20% down
from where you bought it.
So therefore, if the stock declines,
when it hits the 20% down, it automatically sells.
So I hope you followed my advice.
Right now, I am holding.
I might even add to a few AI positions because AI is now getting there, getting nervous about it.
But I'm not going to buy a lot, okay, because I don't trust the election in the sense that I think Harris has got a shot to win.
And I'll explain that further coming up.
And if she does win, oh, boy, everybody is going to feel massive pain in this country.
But Americans are too apathetic, distracted, or stupid to understand that.
And that's the truth.
And that's a memo.
Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets.
And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold.
That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver.

Power, politics and the people behind the headlines.
I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist, and the host of the brand new

the President of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the
world. Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or

doing anything today. As I mentioned, Harris will be in Ph.P. selection tomorrow.
Over the weekend, Donald Trump was in Georgia, and he attacked Republican governor, Brian Kemp.
Goll.
Somewhere, he went bad. And you know what? Your numbers in Georgia are very average.
Your crime numbers, your economic numbers, all of your numbers, you're very average.
You can do a lot better, and you'll do a lot better with a better governor.
You can do a lot better, just so you understand.
All right, I wrote in a message of the day, Bill O'Reilly.com.
We hope you go there every morning that that was not a good move by Donald Trump.
Okay?
The Republicans need to take Georgia, and they should take it easy.
With the Lake and Riley murder by the undocumented migrant, it shouldn't even be close.
But Kemp has a 60% job approval rating in Georgia.
Kemp is the most powerful man in the state.
He has a political machine, and he's not going to help Trump.
He may work against Trump in Georgia.
So I know Trump does not like him, but that was not a smart thing to do, period.
And I don't know why the former president continues to work against his own interests.
I don't.
I've spoken to him a number of times.
He seems to recognize the fact that he is sabotaging himself to some effect.
it continues to do it. Okay, CBS News poll. Now, I'm giving you this poll because it's all over the place and you're going to hear about it. The polling does not matter until after the debate. Nothing matters this August. There will be a debate in September. I'll get to that. And until that debate, this is all kind of just emotion, emotion, emotion. So,
3,102 registered-voted sample by CBS, Democrat 34, Republican 32, Independent 31, fair sample.
First question, if the election were held today, would you vote for?
Harris, 50%, Trump 49, that's a dead heat.
Second question, if the election were held today, who would be your choice for president in the swing states?
These are only the swing states.
Tie, 50-50.
Third question, do you plan on definitely voting?
Democrats 85% say yes, Republicans 88% say yes.
Now, that's edge to the Republicans there.
That means that Kamala Harris still has not convinced all the Democrats of her worthiness.
The reason that Kamala Harris has surged in the – that one surged in the bad word come up in the poll is because of women of color, as we explained last week.
They didn't have any use for Joe Biden at all.
None.
But once Kamala got into race, there's an identification.
So that vote mobilized and that has lifted Kamala Harris to where she is now.
The Wall Street Journal did a very interesting report.
I'm stealing it, but I'm giving them credit.
So there are some very powerful people behind Kamala Harris that you and I did not know.
And they are.
Ray McGuire, Brad Karp, John Hennis, Mark Lassery.
McGuire is the president of Lazzard.
He is the highest-ranking black executive on Wall Street.
Lazzard is a financial firm.
Karp is the chairman of Paul Weiss-Rifkin law firm.
I have dealt with them before they are unbelievable partisans for the Democratic Party.
Unbelievable.
get the other two guys. Hens, H-E-N-S, is the CEO of the C-S-S-A-S-S-A-S-T-S-E-S-T-E-S-E-S-E-S-E-T-E-RILL. Okay? So, it's another financial deal.
They're deeply involved with politics. Mark, Lastery, CEO of the Avenue Capital Group,
and these guys are all pumping big, big money into Harris-Pax.
There is big money coming, uh,
into the Republican precincts as well.
It was a Trump fundraiser in Bridge Hampton, Long Island, over the weekend.
I think it raised $15 million.
All right.
Elon Musk is going to pump or has pumped $20 million into a Trump PAC,
political action committee, and he'll do more so.
So Musk is on Trump's side.
Musk is doing this to counteract Mark Zuckerberg, okay, who pumped $420 million.
into helping Joe Biden in 2020.
$420 million, one man, staggering.
So Musk is going to help Trump.
All right, the debate.
So Donald Trump has pulled out of the ABC News debate.
And he says one of the reasons is that George Stepanopoulos called him a rapist,
and he's suing Stepanopoulos.
and the case is moving forward.
But when the first debate was announced in March,
not in March,
the suit was filed in March, okay?
And the debate was announced after that,
and Trump said he'd do it.
So, you know, I don't know.
Anyway, Trump wants to do a debate
with Fox News people on September 4th,
and Harris hasn't said yes or no.
But Harris is mocking Trump
for pulling out of the AP.
debate. I don't care. Doesn't matter to me who does the debate. There will be a debate.
Both sides need it. Both sides need it. So it'll happen. Where and when? I don't know.
All right, let's go to immigration because the Democrats are trying to turn this around saying that the
Biden-Harris administration was right on a case. Despite the open border, despite more than 10 million
undocumented migrants coming into this country, and they were on it, and that they introduced a
great bill that would stop all the manners. They did this three and a half years after the
matters began, but Kamala's going, we're on it, on it, on it, and Trump is the guy who derailed
it. Roll the tape.
Our administration worked on the most significant border security bill in decades.
some of the most conservative Republicans in Washington, D.C., supported the bill.
Even the border patrol endorsed it.
It was all set to pass.
But at the last minute, Trump directed his allies in the Senate to vote it down.
Okay, now all of what she said is true except for the most significant border security
bill. There was no security in the bill. None. None. I read the bill. I never would have voted for the
bill and I want to solve the problem. I'm not playing politics with this. So the bill would have
allocated hundreds of billions of dollars more money basically to set up a bigger bureaucracy down
there. More judges, more places for the migrants to go, more food, more clothing. But it did
nothing, nothing, to stop the millions of people trying to get in here. No wall, no penalties.
If you're caught crossing the border illegally, no penalties, nothing. Why would you vote for a
bill like that? So anyway, the Democrats are trying to turn us around. And some Americans will
believe it, I guess, but it's ridiculous. It's so ridiculous. And I'll prove my point now.

So the Biden administration has tightened up asylum rules. Okay. And that's why the amount of people has dropped trying to get in here.
But that's not the primary reason.
areas is 120 degrees down there.
But the Biden administration has tightened up the rules.
So border patrol agents can send people back quicker.
But in association with that, the Biden administration has expanded areas where migrants can
apply for asylum.
It's not just ports of entry.
Now it's all across.
It's much easier.
And then they're letting them in.
while their cases are adjudicated.
So what do you think is going to happen?
This is a ruse, a big, big ruse.
And it's obviously a vulnerability for Kamala Harris,
trying to turn it around.
The question is, will it work?
Joining us now from Long Island, New York,
is Alana Shetsova,
who is an immigration attorney from Belarus,
and she came to the United States,
got legally, got her law degree, and now represents immigrants, represents migrants, okay?
So that's why we wanted to speak with her.
Number one, have I reported this accurately in your opinion, counselor?
For the most part, we do have certain points in existing rules that would cover some points that you made.
For example, we do already have civil penalties for those who enter the border illegally.
The trouble is they're not enforced.
Also, with regard to asylum, ability to seek asylum, it's always been the case at this in 1980s,
with the person entitled to off for asylum in the United States, regardless of their manner of entry.
Whether they're entering at the point of entry or would we call now between the president.
Okay. Now, you know this area as well as anybody because you do this for a living and people come to you and they're trying to get here legally. I would assume that your practice is trying to do this legally. But you know that in Venezuela, a third of the population has left that country, most of whom have tried to get to the United States. And now Maduro, the president there, won't accept anybody being deported back to Venezuela.
So once the Venezuelans get here, and there are plenty of them on Long Island, okay, they've got to stay here because their country won't take them back.
Biden and Harris didn't do anything to temper that, did they?
No.
In fact, during the Biden administration, they established a new program, making it easier for people.
Yeah, making it easier.
So all of this is just propaganda from Kamala Harris, blaming Trump for.
for this, oh, we were going to go and solve this problem.
If this bill had passed, that wouldn't have solved the problem at all, in my opinion.
Am I wrong?
I would disagree to some extent, because I do believe that the bill is going for complete funding in the border.
And I think that's something that I personally supporting.
I believe that increased funding would allow to at least partially to address the problem.
the border needs more agents.
I know that we have a deal with more democracy.
But look, look, we had under Trump,
and I'm not promoting Trump in his campaign,
but there was a remain in Mexico policy
where you could apply for asylum.
You could apply for whatever you wanted to apply for,
but you had to wait there until your case was adjudicated.
That largely worked, correct?
I would disagree, from my point of me, the trouble was that if you are remaining in Mexico,
you wouldn't be able to have the same access to justice as when you are in the United States.
But, counselor, we don't have the resources to do the justice that you would like for 50 million people all over the world.
You can't do it.
Perhaps.
and improve the system that we have.
So at least we can address and help most of these people.
But you know that most of the people in the world in distress
want to come here.
And if you allow them to come here to wait until they're...
It takes five years now to adjudicate some of these asylum claims.
You're just overrunning the country with people who can't support themselves.
Look at New York City.
Look at all the other cities going bankrupt because of this.
The remaining Mexico policy eliminated all of that.
Last word.
Correct.
But it's only because the immigration laws were not improved in the past 30 to 40 years.
If we have an immigration inform, comprehensive immigration reform,
that would call for expedited employment associations,
It would call for independent immigration judges.
It would call for...
There aren't enough judges in the world.
They just aren't.
The numbers are staggering.
And that is the national security problem we have.
Counsel, we wish you the best.
Thank you for coming on and debating.
Nice to see you.
Thank you.
All right, customs officers in Arizona is another part of this.
The largest fentanyl seizure in the state's history.
four million fentanyl pills four million one can kill you and hundreds of thousands of people have
died under the Biden administration's open border policy because it's easy to smuggle drugs into the
united states because all the border patrol is worried about not worried but preoccupied with all of the
migrants coming in they can't do both can't do drug enforcement and uh expedite all these asylum claims
It's impossible.
So the narcotics are pouring in here, and that's another open border problem here.
Now, if I'm interviewing Kamala Harris, which has never in a million years, happened because she wouldn't get, she'd break down a cry during the interview.
She couldn't answer any of my questions because I'm fact-based here.
She can't answer them, all right?
But I say to you, Ms. Vice President, does that mean anything to you?
that hundreds of thousands of people have died because there's dangerous narcotics like fentanyl so plentiful
and the numbers have gone up since you and joe biden have been in office i think it's what
three 400 percent increase crazy um media madness this is a really interesting story
remember this woman cassidy hutchinson she had a book all right and it sold a lot of copies
that because killing the witches was up against her now which is ultimately sold a lot
more copies than she did but out of the gate she said did very well because she accused
Donald Trump of grabbing the wheel of the presidential limousine and fighting a
secret service agent because Trump wanted to go to the Capitol and according to
Hutchinson he wanted to encourage this crazy thing to happen on January
were six. Hutchison was a low-level staffer in the Trump administration. She writes all this
garbage. I knew it was garbage from the jump. Okay? Here's what I said. Go. The most important
thing, accusation was from this Cassidy Hutchinson. Now, we've done some investigating. It would
be physically impossible for a president or any human being, any human being, sitting in the
back seat of a limousine to reach across and grab the steering wheel. It's impossible, physically
impossible. It can't do it. Okay. And that was true. But that's not what the hate Trump media
told you. Roll the tape. President Trump ordering them to take him to Capitol Hill and when they
would not do so because they did not believe it was secure, among other reasons, President Trump,
according to these Secret Service agents, who relayed this to Cassidy Hutchinson, lunged at the
wheel, and then lunged at the throat and clavicle of his Secret Service agent, Robert Engel.
It was devastating testimony, a portrait of a president who was completely and utterly out of
control.
And it was a lie.
And tap was the worst.
I just thought I'd rub that in.
You know that, I'm sure.
So now, the inspector general.
of the Secret Service, Joseph Kofari, based on more than 100 interviews of every Secret Service
agent around at that time, okay, and said, the whole thing is bogus. It never happened.
This is the Secret Service. This is the Inspector General. Okay, he was in charge of investigating
this stuff. All right. So how many lies is a corporate media going to be able to get away?
way with. Because nobody's going to report this Inspector General thing, you know, it sickens
me that, A, a woman can make a lot of money peddling a falsehood, that B, CNN and Tapper
can pick it up and spit it out, and they weren't the only ones. Almost every corporate media
TV operation did, okay? And C, that it takes this long for the Inspector General,
could have done this in a month, you might say, no. It's awful. Our system is so corrupt.
I'm not cynical. I'm fact-based. It is corrupt. The media is corrupt and the federal government
is corrupt. Okay, smart life. So how do we get here? How do we get here in 2024? It's such a
corrupt place. Well, on a political side, it was an evolution throughout the presidents,
different presidents. And I've written a book, as you know, called confronting the presidents,
all right? No spin assessments from Washington to Biden. It's out in about a month, September 10th.
But the audio is already not available, but it's been made. And I want to run a minute of the audio
for confronting the presidents in the smart life.
And I'll tell you why it's in the smart life.
Okay? Go.
George Washington gets right to work.
His first task is defining what it means to be president.
Problems quickly mount.
America has a massive national debt from the Revolutionary War,
no standing army, and a navy that has no ships.
Yet the greatest headache George Washington endures
is the hand-picked group of men he has chosen to advise him.
This bickering cabinet of four politicians includes Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton,
Secretary of War Henry Knox, and Attorney General Edmund Randolph.
Jefferson and Hamilton in particular loathe each other.
At issue is whether the federal government should be a strong central power, as Hamilton believes,
or if the states should wield the most strength, as in Jefferson's point of view.
This debate will continue for generations to come.
For now, Alexander Hamilton will win this argument,
and it is George Washington who casts the deciding vote.
And so we take each president, all 45 men,
and we tell you who was corrupt, who wasn't,
and how the corruption evolved.
And right now, I'll submit to you,
We're not at the top level of corruption in Washington.
We're not there because we're worse presidents and unbelievable corruption in some of the administration.
We are in the media.
Media's never been more corrupt.
So you are going to get so much out of confronting the presidents.
And it all pertains to today.
All of it.
You will learn something on every page and it's entertaining.
It's fun to read.
take it to the beach. Okay? So pre-order on Bill O'Reilly.com, Amazon, Barnes & Noble,
wherever you get your books. Also on Bill O'Reilly.com is a good poll question. We would like
you to, and you don't have to be a premium member to do this. You don't have to do that.
Okay? And it's very simple. Can Kamala Harris win the election? Yes or no?
Big, big entry into that poll. We have polls every week. Okay? So we'd like you to vote
in that one, smart life.
Stay in history, August 5th, 1861,
okay? Civil War, Abraham Lincoln
signs the Revenue Act, okay?
The first income tax in America.
Because Lincoln didn't have any money.
Couldn't pay his soldiers.
So you had a tax, the American people.
It wasn't a tax, a federal tax, before this.
So the tax came down this way.
income tax, 3% flat tax, okay, if you had an income exceeding $800 a year.
Most Americans didn't.
They made less than $800 a year, okay?
Only 3% of Americans had an income of more than $800 a year in 1861.
Property tax.
So they were laying a real estate tax on you if you own property.
small, but they were. And then they put tariffs, okay? Sugar, tea, coffee, liquor, small tax on that.
So that way Lincoln got the money to pay his soldiers. That was the first time. Now, the federal
taxes across the board were so loathe that Congress threw them out 10 years later.
Threw them out completely. Okay? And it wasn't until 1909.
That would be 38 years later that income taxes were reinstituted in America.
So from 1871 and 1909, it was no federal tax.
You got to pay local.
This day in history, that interesting?
It was interesting to me.
Final thought about a blunder I made in the moment.
All right, final thought, slow down.
So I got to take some meds for, you know, the skin cancer stuff and all.
that. It's not serious, but I booted it because I was rushing and thinking of other things,
and I miscalculated the meds, and I paid a huge price for it. What did I feel terrible for
three days? So I had to learn that lesson. So when you go in and you're doing any medical
stuff. Slow it down. Deep breath. Concentrate on what you have to do. I mean,
the Tara Dog's got all these meds. I got to concentrate every day. What I give her, when I give her
and I, but I didn't concentrate on me. And I, boy, was that bad. Financial work. If you're doing
financial work, slow down. Okay. It's methodical. Don't want to make any mistakes. All right.
I'm better now, but that blew the whole weekend.
And it's my fault.
You've got to slow it down.
Thank you for watching and listening to the No Spin News.
Tell your friends.
I mean, we are just rocketing all over the world now.
And there's a reason.
And this is such a serious election.
You know that.
Tell your friends, all right?
You're doing them a favor by telling them.
We'll see you tomorrow.
