Hey, Bill O'Reilly here.
Welcome to the No Spin News from Monday, October 21st, 2004.
Stand up for your country, two weeks.
Two weeks, historical election.
You know that.
And it comes down to last-minute decision-making, not on the count.
candidates. You know, it's usually, who am I going to vote for? You know, in 1960, JFK Nixon,
that's what it was all about. Now it's not about that. It's about two things, about voting for a
point of view, a direction for the country, and whether or not to vote at all. The not show up vote
is going to be significant this election. You don't hear anybody saying that. There's no way it's
going to be like turnout in 20. It'll be much less because people are, you know, they're wary
and no doubt about it. And many Americans are wary. So we got all the stats because that's where
I'm going to concentrate the next two weeks on the facts. You know the policies, you know the
opinions, you got it. Now we're steering you into reality in a big way and that is the
talking points memo subject for this evening. So Donald Trump's strategy the last two weeks
is going for big events. So he's got a rally Sunday, October 27th, 5 p.m. Madison Square
Garden sold out. That means 19,000 screaming people and Trump will come out and it'll be like
a Rolling Stones concert. Okay. So that's what the display, that's what
Donald Trump wants. Why? Why not go to Arizona or Nevada or a swing state? Why go to New York,
which he's not going to win and do this? Social media. Because that video will go everywhere
and it presents Donald Trump as a winner. Momentum goes with the winner. And right now Trump has
momentum. Okay. Now, he's also got a rally in Duluth, Georgia at the Gas South Arena on Wednesday,
and he's trying to book arenas in New Jersey and Atlanta. Well, he's going out with the big shows.
Now, yesterday, he was in Festerville, Pennsylvania, working at a McDonald's. Roll of tape.
You know, if you're looking at really what's happening, look at the crowd over.
over there, look how happy everybody is.
They're happy because they want hope.
They need hope.
And that's what we're doing.
That's what we're going to give much more than hope.
All right, so that obviously goes all over.
Trump's and McDonald's.
And that's what he wants.
This perception of the wind, sorry for the cliche,
is at his back.
Now the Harris campaign is different.
All right, so she cautious as ever, is doing smaller,
smaller rallies in the swing states.
Okay.
Yesterday, she was in Georgia,
badly needs Georgia,
celebrating her 60th birthday,
the vice president,
and happy birthday to her.
And Trump graciously wished Kamala Harris
a happy birthday, by the way.
She was with Stevie Wonder.
Roll it.
So let us off again.
You know that love can win.
Let it all know to hold it in,
clap your hands and sick.
Happy birthday, happy birthday to you know, happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday to you.
All right, you get the point.
Anyway, on Wednesday, Kamala Harris has a town hall with CNN.
She's not going to get one vote from that.
Nothing, zero.
All right?
It's like Trump going on Fox News.
You're not going to get anything.
People watch it CNN are going to vote for Harris.
People watch Fox are going to vote for Trump.
And you get a series of cupcakes by Anderson Cooper.
There'll be firm questions up top, but no follow.
up. You know what the game is. I don't know why she can bother doing this, but she's going to do it.
And then both candidates will pick and choose. The one that picks something different up,
does something different the last week, next week, okay? That will get some votes. Because people
are now, even the dimest among us, the dumbest American voters now paying it.
attention. So if you can get their attention, and that's why Trump's doing the big things.
And one more point for the Talking Points memo, policy is over. Everybody knows now what they stand
for, and that's a memo. All right, Atlas is our poll go-to outfit. It's the most accurate in 2020,
and we interviewed the CEO. You may want to watch that on bill o'Reilly.com. They're out with a new poll.
head to head Harris Trump they got Trump 51 Harris 48 three point obviously three
point spread I that's what the internal polling says as well now here's something
that surprised me females are favoring Trump 5248 I I don't know about that with
the abortion thing and everything this is the only poll Atlas is the only pollster
saying female American voters are favoring Trump.
Males, Trump, 50, Harris, 49, pretty much equal.
Interesting.
That's fascinating.
All right.
And what are the greatest challenges in the USA?
This is, again, the Atlas poll.
Immigration 52, top of the chart.
Inflation 50.
U.S. economy, job market, 50%.
So it's all about immigration and the economy, which I believe is true.
Now, here are the swing states from Atlas, all right?
Let's get this chart up.
So North Carolina Atlas has got Harris leading.
I believe North Carolina will go to Trump.
Okay, Georgia got Trump leading.
And because of Lake and Riley, the Georgia girl student who was killed by the Venezuelan gang member,
illegal immigrant, allegedly, I think Georgia will go to Trump.
Arizona is Thai. Nevada is a tie. Wisconsin is Harris up by zero six. Michigan, Trump up by about three points. Wow. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and
stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through

You don't want to miss an episode.
In Pennsylvania, where Trump is really putting a lot of resources, Trump up by two and a half points.
Total electoral votes in the bag, Trump's got 253, and remember, needed to win, is 270.
He's only 17 electoral votes, according to Atlas, away from victory.
And Harris got 226.
So we will, we've got it all down.
All right, the schedules, President Biden didn't do anything again today, which is the modus operandi in the White House.
He gave the National Arts and Humanities reception, and a few cocktails, and that's it.
Harris is in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
Wow.
busy day for the vice president.
And Trump is in North Carolina on the impact of Hurricane Hulene.
He's got a big rally in Greenville.
Latest was constant polling.
Constant has 10 electoral votes.
And ordinarily, it would be, you know, a nice state, but not of great imports.
But here, it's a slug out.
All right.
So Atlas has got Harris up by one.
That's a dead heat.
Rasmussen has got Trump up by two, and nobody knows what's going on except our next guest.
Joining us now from Wisconsin is the senior senator, Ron Johnson.
You know him.
I don't know whether you love him or not, but you know him.
He knows what he's talking about.
How do you see Wisconsin right now, Senator?
Well, Bill, it's going to be close.
And it's going to be the bellwether state.
I thought it was interesting that 60 minutes had a piece last night about how Door County
little finger up there, North Green Bay, has picked the president in the last 60 elections.
So, I mean, we are the ultimate Bellwether State.
And it's going to be a close election.
Our game plan is to encourage all Republicans to get out and vote early and then spend
their time from when they voted to the election day to encourage other people to vote
because it will be the low propensity voters that decide this election.
So you don't have any gut feeling?
I mean, Marquette University does a nice poll.
You don't have any gut on how it's going to go?
Well, I tell you, the enthusiasm is definitely on our side.
I think that's true.
But Democrats have a much easier task.
All they have to do is turn out vote in Milwaukee and Madison primarily.
And Republicans, we have to go throughout the state.
Every little small town, burg in the state, we've got to mind those votes.
It's just a much more difficult task.
But one thing about the Trump rallies, and he'll have probably at least one or two more.
year. The reason people attend those is, yeah, they're entertaining, but what people really
enjoy is they are surrounded by people for a number of hours, because you have to get there
early. Felt patriots, people love this country. And they love that atmosphere being surrounded
by other people that love this country. That's what Republicans got going for us. We love
this country. The Democrats, let's face it, do you love something you want to fundamentally transform?
I argue not. So the Democrats are very grumpy. They're very dissatisfied. They're very angry.
Republicans, we got a sense of humor. We're in a pretty good mood. We're optimistic about this
election, but we've got to do the work. I think that's a good assessment. It's like a packer
pregame. Everybody comes together. Has a few bruise, and they're all like-minded. What about
your co-Senator, Tammy Baldwin? Is she going to win? She's in trouble. And if your viewers want
to help Eric Hubday, just go to Eric Hubday.com. That is a day.
dead even race it'll depend an awful lot how strong trump does but eric's running a good campaign
unfortunately tammie baldwin she's got no record to run kind of like comla harris so her entire
campaign is lying about a really good person eric covdae uh successful entrepreneurs taking that
success has built and operates shelters for traffic children around the world and all tammy
balvin can do is lie about him so it's very sad so we need support ericubday dot com
uh very winnable race uh he's working his tail off as is the president jd
advance, all of us are. Again, gain the vote out early, bank our vote, and concentrate on those
low-prevency voters. All right. Now, I believe that the issues are defined, and it's not
going to be any more issue stuff coming up. And the candidates are basically speaking to the
choir now. Harris going on CNN, Trump, I don't know if he's got any more Fox News stuff,
but he did something yesterday there.
If I were either or,
I would kind of go into the lion's den a little bit.
But you're not seeing that too much.
You're seeing choir, choir, choir.
You as an obviously successful politician
in a very tough state,
is that the smartest strategy?
Stay safe?
No, I like going to the lion's den myself.
I thought the McDonald's visit was brilliant
because it showed Donald Trump as a person.
It's the person that I know when I'm around him.
I always say, if you spend time with Donald Trump, you cannot not like him.
I mean, put forward a very likable face.
Well, Kamala Harris is trying to, and all the Democrats are trying to picture him
as some kind of fascist, some sort of evil person.
He was a very likable person.
I would love to have him come in and do a rally like he did in the Bronx
in the city, Milwaukee.
There's a lot of support inside the black community for Donald Trump
because they realize under his administration,
their wages were growing.
The economy was doing well.
They were able to start businesses
about all the regulation of the nanny state.
So I think Donald Trump definitely appeals
to black voters, to Hispanic voters,
and I would love to see him come in
and really folks to at least do media
in the urban radio, a Hispanic radio here in Wisconsin.
I think you should do that across the nation.
He can get those votes.
He should go to a Bucks game.
All you've got to do is go to a Milwaukee Bucks game
and do some local press before it, right?
Yeah. No, again, again, he's always welcomed in those venues.
Kamala Harris, not so much, though, but Donald Trump, he brings down the House.
Yeah, Harris is not a confrontational person. I can see that.
My final question for you. So say Trump loses with a possibility, the Senate now with Montana,
almost assuredly going to go flip the seat to the Republicans, West Virginia, the same situation.
I don't know about Baldwin.
I mean, she may pull it out.
But it looks like the Republicans are going to control the Senate.
Would you disagree with that?
I'm cautious and optimistic.
But are you still cautious?
We're concerned about Nebraska.
I don't think anybody thought that could be a close race, but it might be a close race.
Bernie Marino is a great candidate in Ohio.
So, no, I think we've got many chances to pick up.
And we might actually have more than just a slender majority.
But, again, we've got to do the work.
Let's say, and that's very important because that will block a lot of this progressive stuff that Harris would implement or try to.
Who's the leader of the Senate with McConnell stepping down?
Is it Thune? Is it you? Who's leading it?
I'm supporting Rick Scott. Rick is an extraordinary individual.
It has a wonderful background, successful business person, successful governor.
And we're going to need somebody who's willing to do the hard things, you know, take up these issues.
You know, we're $35 trillion in debt.
We have a $4 trillion tax increase on the horizon.
We have Social Security, Medicare, trust funds running out.
We have all these social issues, you know, the DEI endem it through our institutions.
You know, we need bold leadership.
Yeah.
And not somebody's just, you know, going to go along to get along.
That's not going to cut it.
We have major problems facing this nation.
We need a bold leader.
I think Rick Scott would be that bold leader.
And who you make a prediction tonight that the GOP is going to take the Senate?
I'm cautiously optimistic.
Listen, I do not call my chickens before the hatch bill.
That's just I'm suspicious that way.
We thought it was going to be a red tsunami in 2022, and it wasn't.
And it wasn't.
Absolutely.
Very humbling for me, because I thought the same way.
But I am, I'm not going to say cautiously.
And I'm not rooting.
I'm reporting.
But it looks to me with the economic dissatisfaction.
And you know as well as I do that a lot of people vote against Trump,
because of his demeanor. But that doesn't mean they're going to vote for the left,
which has caused, a lot of the inflation horror that we've experienced. But I just see the Senate
going to Republicans.
Bill, Bill, in the same world with an unbiased media, these elections wouldn't even be
close. I mean, how bad is you have to get? But it's an insane world, and we have a highly
biased media, so it's going to be close.
All right, but nobody can be biased in the wallet. You know what you're paying for food.
in fuel. And in Wisconsin, that's huge. You're always welcome, Senator. Thank you for taking
a time and talk to us tonight. Thanks, having me out. Have great night. All right. Barack Obama's
out there. This is interesting. So he's out there more than usual, more than Biden.
So on Friday, he was in Arizona. Then he went up to Nevada on Saturday. And remember,
This is all paid for by the political action committees that are supporting Kamala Harris.
Then tomorrow he's going to Madison, Wisconsin, then he's going to Detroit.
He's on the road again.
He's Willie Nelson.
And this is a sample.
Go.
I get why sometimes folks are frustrated with politics.
I'm sometimes frustrated with politics.
So I get it.
What I cannot understand
is why anyone would think
that Donald Trump will shake things up
in a way that is good for you.
That I don't understand.
Oh, yes, you do.
If you leave office with a 1.4 inflation rate
as Trump did, and it goes over to eight in a year,
you know why.
I got to catch up with the former president.

All right, Michelle Obama is coming out.
First time.
First time.
So while Trump does his New York City rally, she will be with the vice president in Michigan.
Okay.
Now that's a big event.
No doubt about it.
Then she's heading down to Atlanta.
So she hasn't been very active, Michelle.
It's a big draw, bigger draw than Barack with women.
So she's now in the game.
60 minutes.
This is one of the weirdest stories I have ever covered in my entire life.
I knew Don Hewitt, who ran 60 Minutes for decades, and Mike Wallace, very well.
I really talk all the time.
the time. I was on 60 Minutes twice, all right? Once for killing Jesus and once for another
killing book. And they treated me very fairly. And it was, when I was on, it was huge.
Absolutely huge. It's not that important anymore, but it still does serious work. Why don't
you just put out the transcript of the Kamala Harris interview, CBS, 60 Minutes, and stop
all this. Now you got a lawsuit against you, you got Trump involved. So let's go with Trump
said first. Go. They took the answer out in its entirety and they put a completely different
answer in that looks that makes her look like she's normal, okay, which is about the best you're
going to do. And I said, I think it's the worst thing she's done now. What we're doing is
we're going to subpoena their records because we want to see how much else did she do.
Well, he's not going to get anywhere unless he's elected, but if he is elected, 60 minutes
and CBS News are in trouble, unless they didn't do anything.
And if they didn't do anything, why not put the transcript out there?
You know, and I understand you don't want to set precedent that you want to have some
kind of editorial barriers inside your news organization, but this is public trust.
which CBS should be wanting to earn every single day.
Put it out.
It doesn't make any sense.
Now, I can't come on as many other commentators do
and condemn 60 minutes
because I don't know.
It doesn't look good,
but it is so strange.
If I'm president of CBS, that transcripts out like that.
even if they did something untoward in it.
And then I would fire everybody who did it.
Can't have that.
Bernie Sanders.
I haven't heard a lot about the barn burner.
I was up in Vermont this weekend.
I'll tell you about that in a minute.
I got a little, very, very low profile.
Same with Ocasio Cortez in New York.
A lot about them.
But they have big-time sway over Kamala Harris.
Okay?
So Bernie shows up on CNN yesterday.
Go.
So if we are able to elect Harris, I think we're going to have an opportunity to move her on that issue,
to make it clear we cannot allow children in Gaza to starve to death.
She will be open to that.
I doubt that Trump will.
Okay.
So this is another progressive tenant that the children in Gaza are,
starving to death and then Israel is doing it. When Sanders knows, because U.S. Intel has put it out,
that the food and the aid to the civilians in Gaza is being stolen by Hamas terrorists.
Everybody knows that. So what is Israel supposed to do? In fact, Sinwar, the Hamas leader who
the Israelis waxed, shot him to death, they found.
with millions of dollars in his little bunker. What's he doing with millions of dollars? Does
he have a Netflix series? So what Sanders does, what Sanders does is he basically signals we can move her on the
issue. Sanders had tremendous control over the Democratic Party right now because the progressives,
are in line with him. Now, they're not a communist like he is. He's a communist, Sanders.
Okay? But they are socialist. They want the big government to control everything and diminish
personal freedom. That's what Sanders wants. Always wanted it. Always. And now he sees,
get Harris in there, it's going to be much easier. And I'm going to do my YouTube channel
commentary on that. I'm going to tape that tonight. Daniel Penny, remember the name?
He's a former Marine who was on a subway in New York City May 1st, 2003, and a kind of deranged
guy came into the subway car threatening people. Penny took him down, killed him. And he's being
prosecuted by the Uber liberal DA Alvin Brack. And the trial starts today jury selection.
We are on the trial.
We are watching very closely.
I can't, in good conscience,
acquit Daniel Penny.
I am sympathetic to him.
Let's see what the evidence says.
Let's see the testimony of the fellow passengers say.
So that starts today and we're all over it.
Smart life.
Now, I told you and I told you and I told you.
Sugar.
So there is a company,
called Hint Water.
There's a lot of these companies now.
They put out the carbonated waters
that have no sugar in them
as a substitute for soda and the iced teas,
the energy drinks, it's loaded with sugar.
So the study was 2000 Americans by Hint Water.
And it found that 85% of respondents
are trying to lower their sugar intake.
And the average American consumes, ready,
80 pounds.
of sugar a year.
That's the average.
Now, if you do that,
if you are drinking the sodas,
soft drinks, the energy drinks,
the sugar-laden iced teas,
you are going to get sick.
It's not if, it's when.
So you'll get type 2 diabetes,
all right, your body will deteriorate,
your immune system will collapse eventually if you don't stop it.
This should have been like tobacco.
There should be warnings on M&Ms and everything else.
Okay, we have Halloween coming up and you're going to, I got the candy for the kids.
I don't want to be some jerk, but I got the, you know, I'm not giving them huge can, but, you know,
but anyway, adults who are consuming the sugar, and it's so hard not to.
So when I was up in Vermont, you got apple cider loaded, loaded, but it's good.
Then you got cider donuts.
Then you got every country restaurants, got pies freshly baked.
I mean, you know, it's like, I can't have any of this.
No, you can have some of it.
But you've got to cut it down, 75%.
I'm sitting there and every I see this stuff and I did I ate some cider donuts and a little
apple cider but I'm conscious of it that's what I want you to be in the smart life
segment and knock out the soft drinks and the energy drink done no look at the label
80 milligrams a hundred milligrams it's insane breakfast cereals okay they're
Cereals don't have any sugar or very little, maybe eight grams of sugar on a cereal, nine.
Go eight.
But you know, sugar frosted flakes and all.
So, Smart Life, you got to cut back the sugar.
As soon as you cut back the sugar, the weight will fall off you.
And here's my final tip in Smart Life tonight.
When you are craving sugar, which it's addictive, so that's what happens.
here's what I do. I like cashew nuts. So take a couple of handful of cashews, all right,
bop them in, and then you're thirsty. I take water with lemon, fairly significant glass.
Pop it in. Hunger's gone. Craving's gone. You don't have to be cashews. It can be almonds,
peanuts, you know, whatever like you, but pecans, whatever you like. With that, stop,
opposite. Smart life. Stay in history, October 21st, 1967, Vietnam protesters marched on a
Pentagon. Fifty-seven years ago, this was a turning point American history. So it was anti-war
demonstrations. In 67, we had 500,000 U.S. personnel in South Vietnam, half a million. And it
was grisly and horrible and terrible. And 100,000-plus protest.
showed up. And then all the musicians were there, a lot of big-time celebrities, and it was a cause
select. There's no doubt about it. It turned public opinion. And 67, it was 50-50. And then it
turned it against the war. Now, fascinating part of what happened. I was live, obviously,
is in high school. About 700 people were arrested, mostly for disorderly conduct attacking police.
I don't know how many were convicted. Forty-seven U.S. Marshals and National Guard were hurt.
So the demonstrators that hurt, the cops, and the Fed should have been sentenced to jail.
You know, not a long time, but they should have been punished. So that's what happened. Now,
I write about this in confronting the presidents because I did not know before researching this book how bad Lyndon Johnson was.
Lyndon Johnson is one of the most corrupt presidents in our history.
He was tied into the debacle of the Vietnam War.
Where do you see the facts that we have about this guy?
President Lyndon Johnson, L.B.J. awful.
Anyway, that protest, 1967.
Back with the final thought in a moment.
Okay, here's the final thought every October.
I try to get up to New England, and Vermont is a really good, foliage place.
So I was up in Stowe, and then I was down in the southern part in a town, a little town called Orwell.
And, you know, Vermont, you don't get more bucolic.
But it's the most liberal state.
I mean, God, I think it's four electoral votes.
You know, we passed the Ben and Jerry's factory where they give tours.
So I pulled over, I said the guy, do I have to wear a little Mao hat to take the
Ben and Jerry through it?
Now, what happened in Vermont was that in the 60s, where you just saw the demonstration
in 1967, hippie moved.
went big, particularly in New York City, in a Greenwich Village, St. Mark's Place, and the hippies
all moved up to live on communes. That means they all lived together in Vermont because it's cheap.
Couldn't live in Brooklyn, so they went up to Vermont, and they stayed there, and they're still
hippies. You know, the guys at the ponytail, you know, what I'm talking about. Anyway, I didn't see
any Harris Wall signs anywhere. Even a stow. Middlebury, which is the worst, by the way.
Middlebury College, 80 grand now. I send your kid there. And a big Black Lives Matter
signs everywhere. No. No. I think there were a few. I walked to the bookstore in
Middlebury. They didn't have confronting the presidents. Of course not. Why would they have that?
totalitarians. Anyway, I saw a couple of Trump signs, but just driving around in the farms and
the beautiful pasture and you don't see that. And here's something else. They don't allow
billboards in Vermont. In Burlington, it's Mount Pele is the capital, but Burlington is the
biggest city. That's where Bernie has got his big chateau on Lake Champlain. He's a communist,
but not him, see, that. Okay. But the state government regulates everything in Vermont.
You know, you want to put a poster up, a big, you know, sign? No, not doing it.
Can't do it. Socialism. So anyway, I always enjoy going up there, though. I'm beautiful and
had a nice weekend. Okay, that is it for us today. We are on the case.
