Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Speed News for Thursday, May 16th, 2024, stand up for your country. You know, as I said yesterday, I'm surprised very often by the new cycle. I can predict a lot of things that are going to happen, and that's not because I'm a genius, is because I follow things very closely. I know history, and I know the personalities involved in most of the people running the country. I was surprised, as I told you, that the Biden administration announced that President Biden wants to debate Donald Trump. I had said in the past, I didn't think that was going to happen.
Starting point is 00:00:51 I was wrong. So whenever I'm wrong, I want to find out why I'm wrong, and I have. And that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. Okay, let's run it down for you. Thursday, June 27th, Atlanta, Georgia, CNN debate. Trump has agreed in theory. I don't know if he'll object to some of the specifics. I would, and I'll tell you which ones.
Starting point is 00:01:20 But that's where it's going to be. Then a second debate, ABC News, September 10th, which is lucky for us, because that's the day confronting the presidents comes out. So there's going to be a lot of interest in presidents when they debate September 10th. Now, just today was announced at CBS, we'll hold a vice presidential debate. We don't have a date yet because there's no Republican candidate yet. But CBS is going to run that in, and Kamala Harris has said good. So let's just take a look at what's going on here.
Starting point is 00:01:55 Really? Okay, not the phony stuff. So RFK Jr. is not going to be involved in the debate. And as I said in the message of the day on bill o'Reilly.com, that's a good thing for the country. Not, I want to hear what he has to say. Okay. But this is so important, the presidential election, and he has no shot. There's no chance on earth he would win. So he takes a valuable time. And he's a conspiracy theory guy. He rolls that out. And so you'd have to fact check that. It's just not worth it. I feel for him. All right. He's a sincere man.
Starting point is 00:02:39 I do believe that. He'd like to be in the debates. His supporters, 15% would like to see him there. But it's better for the country, in my opinion. There's a key provision in Biden's demands on this debate front. I used demands because the Biden people got out in front of this. They caught the Trump people by surprise because Trump is preoccupied by his trial. Okay?
Starting point is 00:03:04 So there are going to cut the mics of the candidate who's not being questioned by the moderator, who's not talking. That's a good thing. You'll remember that Trump interruptions heard him in 2020. Heard him. And he was interrupting every two minutes and it. So fine. I have no problem with that. Trump wants to stand up, Biden wants to sit down.
Starting point is 00:03:31 That's easy. If you want to stand up, President Trump, stand up. You want to sit down, President Biden? Sit down. You know, so whatever you want, you do. Now, here's the problem. There's two moderators, Dana Bash. No, it's not a problem, Dana Bash.
Starting point is 00:03:50 I mean, Dana Bash is a liberal woman. And then, but she's, you know, okay. But Jake Tapper is a vile, vile human being and should not be on that debate stage. And if I were Donald Trump, I would never, ever consent to Jake Tapper asking me anything. Why? Let me back it up. So you have to go all the way back to 2016 when Trump won. Jake Tapper was very angry that Trump beat Hillary Clinton. Subsequently, Tapper has bashed Donald Trump and in very, very unprofessional and odious, word of the day, it means hateful ways. So on October 4th, 2020, you may remember, a month before the presidential vote, 2020,
Starting point is 00:04:48 But President Trump was sick with COVID. Here's what Tapper said. Sick and in isolation, Mr. President, you have become a symbol of your own failures. Failures of recklessness, ignorance, arrogance, the same failures you have been inflicting on the rest of us. Get well and please, for the rest of us who don't get to go to Walter Reed, get well and get it together. All right, so using Trump's illness to bash him, that's really cheap. And that's what he did almost every day. But here's something even worse.
Starting point is 00:05:30 This happened last September on the 18th. Go. Leading this hour with four weeks until Iowans cast the nation's first votes in the 2024 presidential race, the dehumanizing rhetoric of Adolf Hitler is once again alive and well on a national political stage. This time, of course, in the United States. This time given life by former president and current Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:05:57 The Jew, Hitler wrote, quote, poisons the blood of others. This, according to Hitler, posed an existential threat to Germany because, quote, all great cultures of the past perished only because the originally creative race died out from blood poisoning, quote. There's really no other way to say it. Donald Trump's language mirrors this directly. So Trump is Hitler. Again, this is just vile. And on a personal note, because I always want to tell you the truth, I despise Jake Tapper. I have for years. I wouldn't spend 10 seconds in his presence. And last night, I was in the presence of a bunch of CNN people. I'll tell you about that in the final
Starting point is 00:06:44 thought on this broadcast. But to have this man as a moderator, number one, tells the country that CNN doesn't have any personnel. They have nobody who can do the debate. That's true. Now, there may be some dayside people who could handle it. And this Aaron Burnett, I think, could probably do it. I think she's intelligent. Anderson Cooper, I don't know. I mean, you know, I don't know really what to say. But if Tapper is the best, if that's who they're putting up there, so I'm Donald Trump, and I see this, and I go, I'm not there. I'm not going to do it.
Starting point is 00:07:27 You've got to have somebody else because Hitler, call me Hitler. Tapper call me Hitler. That disqualifies him from being in my president. I'm not going to answer his questions. I'm not going to be around him. That's a reasonable position. You'd have to spell it out because Biden will run wild going, oh, he's afraid of me, Trump's afraid of.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Yeah, all that's tough. But it's reasonable. And me, no way. I'm in a room, Jake Tapper walks in, I walk out of the room. That's how strongly I feel about the man, just so you know. So the Biden White House got ahead of this, and there was a reason here. So I have access to information. In fact, next week I'm going to Washington, D.C.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Can't tell you where or when, but I'm pretty good. sources. And the White House internal polling, which the public doesn't see, indicated that Biden's take on Israel is a disaster. So Biden alienated the progressive base, which is most rabid supporters and money donators, by not condemning Israel outright. So the progressives going, Israel, they're war criminals, Palestinians are right, you know it. You've heard. You've heard. it, those are the protesters. It's 20% of Democratic Party. They're very angry Biden. Then Biden tried to do that, trying to go, oh, we're not going to give Israel weapons. You remember that because they might invade Raphael and we don't want that. Then moderate Democrats got angry at
Starting point is 00:09:03 him. So he's getting it, but his own people, his support is eroding. I don't know are you going to see that in Gallup and the other polls? I don't know. But this is what the White House internal polling shows. So there was panic. And they said, we got to get a diversion. We got to get out of this Israel thing. What better way to announce debates? That's what happened. The Trump people caught totally by surprise because the Trump people are trying to get him out in New York City. They're not even thinking about the debates. That's what happened. Now, you will hear that reported nowhere else. A hundred percent true. Okay, so let's sum this up. Donald Trump should say to CNN, be happy to show up in Georgia, in Atlanta on June 27th, and Fannie Willis
Starting point is 00:10:00 shouldn't be in the audience there. But I'm not going to, you got to change Tapper. And here's why. Just playing the same sound butt I just played you. Okay, that, that, remember Donald Trump was president of the United States, like him, and now you call him, AIDO Fiddler's, could be the most heinous human beings ever lived on a planet. Possible. Okay, secondly, Biden is now in a spot. Because unlike the state of the union, there's no rehearsal, there's no, there's none of that. Now, I got already got mail, I'm going to deal with one of the letters about, well, CNN's going to Biden in questions. That's not going to happen. Okay, but I'll explain it further in the mail segment. But Biden has got to sit there, and I just want to wrap it up of what I said to
Starting point is 00:10:52 Sean Hannity. I hope you listen to that on Bill O'Reilly.com on Hannity's radio show. This whole debate thing is obsolete. It's like cable news. cable news is obsolete now. They haven't kept up with the Times. They're doing what they did 25 years ago. Okay. The debate system is outmoded because there's no fact check. And both Biden and Trump, as we proved yesterday, and I hope you got a transcript or saw the broadcast, they'll say whatever they want. If it's not factual, they don't care. So you can't fact check them when they're on a debate stage.
Starting point is 00:11:30 What you can do is have the debate for 70 minutes, an hour 10, then take a break, okay, and come back 10, 50 minutes later with a half an hour of fact check. Because if a president, Biden, or a former president, Trump, lies, I as an American citizen want to know why. It's easy. You said, Mr. Biden, you know, 35 minutes ago, you said this, here's the facts, can you explain? And he's got a minute to explain it. And then you do the same thing to Trump. They'll never do that in a million years, ever? Because it's a game. I'm going to tell this story one more time. So when I was at Fox, my ratings, as you know, were the highest by far of any cable show that ever existed. And that record stands today. I went into the guy I ran Fox. The guy I ran Fox
Starting point is 00:12:37 news, Roger Al's, before the Obama Romney debate. I believe it was that. I haven't fact-checked myself, but I think it was that one. And I said, let me moderate this. You'll get way higher ratings, and it'll really be an event. Elz looks at me and goes, if I let you moderate that debate, O'Reilly, we will never get another debate as long as it works on the air. It's probably true.
Starting point is 00:13:06 because I would take no prisoners of either of them. I wouldn't be rude, but I'd fact-check relentlessly. But you need a little time. You need that intermission to do it, okay? But it's not going to happen, but it's my job to put forth to you, the educated audience who loves the country, what should happen. This whole debate thing, and June's going to be a fiasco. Believe me.
Starting point is 00:13:37 And that's a memo. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford gold. And you can do this. Get precious metals delivered to your door. or place in a tax advantage, gold IRA.
Starting point is 00:14:08 They'll even help you roll over your existing IRA or 401K, tax and penalty-free. With billions and precious metals delivered thousands of five-star reviews and an A-plus from the Better Business Bureau, you can trust American Hartford Gold as I do. Please call 866-326-55-7576 or text Bill to 99-89-88-9-9-9. Again, that's 866-326-5576-5576 or text bill to 998899. Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist, and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One. Every week, I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors,
Starting point is 00:15:04 lawmakers, newsmakers, and even the president of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world. Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. You don't want to miss an episode. Okay. I'm going to keep these tap or sound bites because this, outrageous. So President Biden's schedule today, he did a ceremony about Brown versus Board
Starting point is 00:15:43 of Education, 70 years. That is the Supreme Court ruling that you cannot have segregated public schools. It's unconstitutional. That's all he did. It's nice, nice event, but come on. You know, problems overseas, he got problems. He got problems. Ridiculous. He did do something that trying to get away with this. I have my people investigating who's covering this. I'll have it for you on Monday. So Joe Biden is issues an executive order today that says Attorney General Merrick Garland
Starting point is 00:16:17 does not have to hand over the audio tapes of him in a deposition talking about the documents in Biden's garage. So Garland would not give those to the House Judiciary and the House, House oversight committees. And the committee said, if you don't hand over, I think it might be on video, too, the video and audio tapes of that deposition, we're going to hold you in contempt to Congress. To save Merrick Garland from that, Joe Biden says, ah, executive privilege, I'm citing
Starting point is 00:16:49 executive privilege. I don't want him out. They're not going to come out. Biden has the authority to do that. If anybody sued him, Supreme Court would say, no, he has authority. So that saves Merrick Garland's butt. It tells you a lot about Merrick Garland. Now, the reason that the Republicans want the tapes is to put them on television and to show how daughtering Joe Biden is. That's why. But nobody's ever going to see him unless somebody leaks them, and that would be a felony and whatever. Interesting story.
Starting point is 00:17:24 We'll see how many people report it. Another executive order that has not been signed as of airtime. Remember, we tape in a late afternoon, is Biden's going to say, once border crossings reach 4,000 a day, we're shutting the border down. This is so insane. Think about this. So once 4,000 undocumented migrants come into the country on any day, then we're shutting the border down. So that means that 1,460,000 migrants will be allowed. in this country every year.
Starting point is 00:18:02 In March, an average of 6,300 migrants cross the border every day. It's just, the numbers are just staggering. Okay? So all Biden has to do is close the board for six months, you know, and say, they're not processing anything. No asylum case is nothing.
Starting point is 00:18:22 It's all he has to do. It's not hard. We won't do it. So this executive order is just another in a long line of, you know, He doesn't want to stop it. He wants the country to be flooded with foreign nationals. And the Democratic Party believe most of those people, when they get the right to vote,
Starting point is 00:18:42 will vote Democrat. That's what it's about. That's what it's about. Trump trial. All right. I'm trying. I am trying. So the prosecution is resting his case today, unless I'm not.
Starting point is 00:18:59 happens the last minute. To me, I'm on the jury, I vote not guilty because I don't see the crime. I don't believe Stormy Daniels. I don't believe Michael Cohen. I don't believe any of them. I think Ms. Daniels is a blackmailer, and already we know that Cohen is a perjurer. Why would I believe them? About anything. So that's reasonable doubt. I have reasonable doubt about these people. And I haven't seen any smoking gun that Trump committed a felony anywhere. No, I'm not guilty. That's me. Okay. Now, people believe what they want to believe. I'm basing this on facts. So there was no smoking gun today. Now, what is a, what are the Trump lawyers going to do? Because tomorrow they're off. I don't know. This guy, uh, Vieselberg, he's in jail.
Starting point is 00:19:58 he was a Trump main accountant. He hasn't been called because he might stick up for Trump. I don't know. Nobody knows. I don't know. Maybe they call him. I don't know what they do. Can't put Trump on a stand. If you put Trump on a stand, then the prosecution opens every door, and then Trump could perjure himself.
Starting point is 00:20:18 You can't. So don't expect that. All right, Donald Trump is going to attend his son Barron's high school graduation, Oxbridge Academy, West Palm Beach, on Friday. then he flies the former president to Minnesota to raise money. Then on Saturday he goes to Dallas, Trump, to raise more money. Big event in Dallas, and on Sunday we don't know what he does. It's unclear.
Starting point is 00:20:44 And on Monday, you've got to be back in court in New York. Cook Political Report. Okay, it's an okay publication. They say they don't know who's going to win. The House of Representatives or the Senate. There's too many toss-up. races. A little troubling to me because I got the 2022 election prediction wrong. And now I'm seeing despite all the inflation, all the open border, all the danger overseas, Biden's
Starting point is 00:21:13 befuddlement, all of it, the Democrats still are competitive? Very troubling to me as an American. And here's another example. So yesterday, HR are 7343 passed a house. You know what that is? Of course you don't. Because nobody reported it. This is a bill that says illegal aliens who assault law enforcement officers in America are to be deported from the United States, even before their trial. Just the accusation. You beat up a cop. You know, because it's a lot. It passed. All right, the boat passed, but 148 Democrats voted against it. Now it goes to Senate.
Starting point is 00:22:06 So what's Schumer going to do here? Fascinating, isn't it? I know the Democrats go, no due process. They have to be convicted. Okay, that backs everything up. And in jurisdictions like New York City, like Los Angeles County, like Cook County, Chicago, So, prosecutors aren't going to prosecute them. They're not.
Starting point is 00:22:31 They'll be the bussed down on misdemeanor or dismiss it. That's what will happen. So 148 Democratic congressmen said, we don't care about the cops. Let these people, these undocumented aliens attack them. It's okay. Okay, I'm keeping my eye on you Schumer and see what happens. Let's go to the media. So the New York Times, they're having a revolution within that newspaper because many of their reporters don't think it's radical left enough.
Starting point is 00:23:05 I don't read it because I know what they're up to over there. Why don't want to read propaganda? I don't have time. Okay, so they're on a piece yesterday about MSNBC, which is as radical left on television as the New York Times is in print. And apparently, at the top of the NBC Corporation, that's Comcast out of Philadelphia, they're very worried that the NBC News brand, that's Lester Holt, the Today Show, had been damaged by the far-left people at MSNBC. Legitimate story, because it's true.
Starting point is 00:23:43 And the local affiliated stations, you watch Channel 4 in New York, Channel 4 in L.A., whatever you watch, they're losing ratings because Republican people, conservative people, traditional people, NBC, I don't want to watch NBC. But in the body of the article, because the Times didn't want to directly criticize MSNBC, because they're brothers or sisters, as they say, quote, Mr. Trump's assent, shocked the Democratic base, and spiked viewership of Ms. Maddow and other left-leaning hosts, whose programs became a kind of televised safe space. MSNBC's ratings surged.
Starting point is 00:24:27 That's what the Times right. Well, it's not true. MSNBC's ratings have never surged. They've always been terrible. And since 2020, and I had to use that comparison because that was a presidential campaign year. And now, 24, MSNBC's numbers are down third. 35 percent. That's a surge. This is what I mean. You know, you're just not going to get the truth from ideological news organizations. Smart life. So Americans are in trouble financially, and that's why Joe Biden and the Democrat should lose, but they might not. And here's the latest. Federal Reserve Bank in New York said yesterday that'll 11% of Americans are behind on their credit card debt for more than 90 days.
Starting point is 00:25:28 So that's bankruptcy period. 11%. I have a lot of folks. Total debt held by Americans, okay, is $184 billion. No, yes, 184 billion. Total debt held by Americans. Americans increased by $184 billion, I'm sorry, increased by $184 billion, to $17 trillion. So most Americans are in debt and big time. And prices continue to go up.
Starting point is 00:26:07 Smart life. Here's what you do. See this piece of paper? Put the machine away. Put the cell phone and computer away. is paper you write on the paper monthly budget you put all your in stone expenses down okay in one column this is what the mortgage is the rent is with gasoline food right here over here this is what we take in take home pay right here then you add them up and you have discretionary income or debt you may be in debt just on your vitals But if you have discretionary income, then you say this portion we put in the bank. Okay, this every month. You got to do it.
Starting point is 00:26:56 You got to do it. If you have to defile for bankruptcy, and millions of Americans are going to have to, and this is a smart life segment, down, you want to buy a house down the road, you want to buy a car, you want to buy money, you're toast. You're not going to get it. That's it. you're going to have to run by cash your whole life. Smart life.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Homeless populations. So here are the 10 states with the most homeless people. Ready? California leads a league big time. New York follows Florida, Washington State, Texas, Oregon, Massachusetts, Colorado, Arizona, Pennsylvania. Every state on that list, with the exception of Texas and Florida is liberal. Arizona is so-so.
Starting point is 00:27:47 And they have very lenient criminal justice. That means that drug addicts and dealers are all over the place. Homeless is 80% substance abuse. So New York City, L.A., huge, drug addict population, huge. They can't work, they won't work, they can't afford to pay rent, they're on the street. These are the states with the least homeless people. Wyoming, that's not tolerated in Wyoming, and it's too cold. North Dakota, Mississippi, Delaware, South Dakota, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Montana, Idaho, New Hampshire.
Starting point is 00:28:27 New Hampshire's got a meth and heroin problem. That's interesting. And those states, most of them are conservative states, and they enforce vagrancy laws. So you can't stop it. You can't be here. Or you go into the county jail. So that's why. Stay in history, May 16th, 1988.
Starting point is 00:28:48 36 years ago, the U.S. Surgeon General, man named C. Everett Coop, K-O-O-P. Okay, does that guy look Amish or what? He puts out a report that says nicotine is as addictive and dangerous as heroin and cocaine. Ronald Reagan was president at the time. And then the government orders the warning, hazardous to your health label, on all cigarette cartons and chewing tobacco. Okay. This, they had to do this because in 1964 under Lyndon Johnson, by the way, a terrible president. Where do you read about him in confronting the president's?
Starting point is 00:29:32 What he was really like, LBJ. Okay. In 1964, the Surgeon General of the United States said, cigarettes aren't addictive. Hey, if you know anybody who smokes, no, don't worry about it. My mother smoked. My father used to make fun of my mother for smoking, but she smoked, and she was addicted.
Starting point is 00:29:55 So anyway, it was a turning point. And now, about 10% of Americans smoke regularly every day. That's it. When this was issued 36 years ago, 50% of American adults are smoking and countless millions of kids sneaking around doing it. Okay, that happened today, May 16th, 1988. They should put out warning labels on sugar. What happened in tobacco, they should do it for the same thing, but they won't do it,
Starting point is 00:30:31 they being the government. Okay? So the health department should say sugar is addictive. sugar is going to hurt you and kill you. They won't because the food industry is so powerful, sugar isn't everything. Look at the label, everything you eat, sugar, sugar, sugar, sugar, sugar, diabetes, you name it. Sugar erodes your immune system. All right, since I got off most of the sugar, you can't get off all of it, but you've got to read the label, okay?
Starting point is 00:31:06 I mean, my whole physiology is turned around. You're drinking those drinks, they're killing you, just like cigarettes, just like tobacco. Okay, got a good lively mail segment and a final thought about my socializing last night with some CNN people. We'll be right back. Starting point is 00:32:33 I agree, O'Reilly, with your idea about two-segment debate with a 30-minute fact-check. However, it contains one flaw, and that's called CNN. I have a little doubt they will do all they can to nail Trump and pick minor errors from Biden. We'll see. CNN is in dire trouble. Dyer trouble. Any shenanigans going to hurt him. Big time.
Starting point is 00:32:57 David McGuire, McLeuth, Kansas. I absolutely believe your solution to the debate is the only part of the president. possible way to see the truth between two individuals. It's probably without any doubt at all, the closest anyone could run a debate between these two. Your suggestion is brilliant. Well, I appreciate that, David. I think about these things a lot. And what I presented to you with the 30-minute fact check at the end would be so valuable for the American people. That's why I won't have it. Joe Severino, Tampa Florida. hey, Bill, do you think another reason for Biden doing the debate in June is because Democrat
Starting point is 00:33:38 National Committee is in August, they know if he can't make it through the debate, they might have another candidate. No. This was a decision solely made by the Biden White House, not by any Democratic committee. Greg, I think Biden was referring to Donald Trump, not showing up at the Republican debates when he said that Trump was avoiding debates. Possible, Greg. But remember, the context of the announcement Biden made was debating him, the president. That was a context. It wasn't the Republican primary. So you're giving Biden the benefit of the doubt, possible.
Starting point is 00:34:21 But again, if that were Biden's intent, he just muddled it and blew it. It's his fault. Gloria, a concierge member, which means Gloria has a private line to me, a life insurance. policy. If she's a concierge member, and I'll help Gloria anyway again. You might check that out on Bill O'Reilly.com. Gloria asked, the first debate would be on CNN. Oh, that would be fair. Gloria says sarcastically. They are the decision that gave Hillary the questions ahead of the event a few years back. They didn't do that. CNN didn't do it. Donna Brazil did it. She was an employee of CNN.
Starting point is 00:35:00 And they didn't know she was doing it. Donna snucked the questions out. Now, you can be a conspiracy. I know, but I'm just giving you the facts. Eric Eisenhower, Dallas, Texas, fully speculation, and it would never happen. But if CNN were to ask you, O'Reilly, to moderate the debate, would you do? And of course, I'd do it. Of course they would.
Starting point is 00:35:23 And boy, we'd get places, let's put it that way. Robert Kale, Zavanna, Georgia, a good town. Bill, thank you and your staff for excellent work. I'm concerned of the future. My question, do you think Ramoswami proposed something like this for a nomination in the future? Look, Vivek Ramoswamy was on here last week, and he definitely wants him to be President of the United States. And, you know, he's got a future. Trouble give him a job.
Starting point is 00:36:02 I'm almost certain of that. Patricia, I'll say this for the No Spin News after renewing on April 22nd. Thank you very much, Patricia. You renewed her concierge or premium membership. I just received my free book, rather timely. Look, we're on it. If you have a problem, concierge or premium members of anything, You write to me directly, bill at bill o'Reilly.com.
Starting point is 00:36:29 All right, name and town. If we have a problem with us, it can't be perfect, but we're pretty good. We're pretty good. It's an interesting story, I guess I got a little time. I can tell you. So I got a concierge letter this morning from a woman who bought one of our sponsors' products. We have lots of sponsors, as you know. And then ran into trouble because her husband died.
Starting point is 00:36:52 and her husband's name was on the product and she wanted to change that so she called the product office and got a guy on the phone the guy would not give her his last name or employee number now that is unacceptable anything that I endorse any advertiser on our radio television forums you the information that you asked for. So, because this woman is a concierge, she shot it to me, and believed me, we will solve this problem for her, because this is personal to me. And not only that, but I've got my head ad sale guy into the corporate level going, this can't happen again.
Starting point is 00:37:45 So we'll drop people, sponsors, if we don't believe that they're doing the right thing, unlike everybody else. I'm not in this for the money. I'm not. Gives me a huge advantage. But anyway, I'm glad you got your book, Patricia. I'm very glad you read up your membership to bill o'Reilly.com. Starting point is 00:38:57 What a nice gift that is. And then we got the not-woke coffee mugs, our most successful mug of all time. And if you get to be a concierge or premium member, you re-up or sign-up, you get the mug-free. If you don't want a book, you get the mug-free. This is a fabulous deal. Just do the math on it. And then we have, for the graduates, are almost out of them, by the way. So if you want self-reliance mugs, you've got to get them over the weekend because we're just about out of them.
Starting point is 00:39:27 And this is a fabulous gift for any graduate, you know. And one final thing, we have confronting the presidents, as I mentioned out September 10th. You pre-order it, you get it first. And I'll sign those two. Okay, where the day do not be pedantic, P-E-D-A-N-T-I-C. with a final thought about my socializing with CNN last night. Okay, final thought of the day, a website called Mediaite. I had a 15th anniversary party last night.
Starting point is 00:40:02 I was invited, and I know Dan Abrams, he's on News Nation. He runs it to his website, so I went out of respect for Abrams. I'm not a party guy. You guys know that. I don't go to a lot of these things, but I've known Abrams for a long time. So I went. And there is a protocol in New York City, which is the media capital of the world. And the protocol is even if you meet competitors in a social situation, you're nice, you're civil.
Starting point is 00:40:33 No, you're not yelling and screaming at them. I don't like that. It's like D.C. You know, when the Democrats meet the Republicans in the gym or something like that, they're not yelling at each other. Most of them, there's some nuts. But I always have observed that protocol. But last night, there was a woman, a CNN woman, Abby Phillip, who was at this event. Now, Abby Philip is the woman who took a quota mine, which was absolutely praising Michelle Obama,
Starting point is 00:41:01 cut the quote up, used about eight seconds to try to make me look like a racist. This is what Abby Phillips did. My lawyer actually contacted CNN. We were thinking about filing lawsuit against her and CNN. We did not, because we would have lawsuit, it would cost me a million. bucks and i gave you the story i played you the clip it's on bill o'reilly dot com if you want to see it again but she was right there and i i was with my assistant long-time assistant who is five-foot-one okay and she's been with me for more than 30 years and she right away saw me and her
Starting point is 00:41:41 and philip who was 10 feet away and i was about to launch So my assistant goes, looks up, I'm 6'4, goes, it's not worth it. So I didn't do it. Ten years ago I would have, maybe five years ago I would have. But she was right. Now Philip, she knew. could sense this wave coming off me. She bolted. Now the others at CNN, I'm any problem with them. Tapper, yes, he was not there. He's a special case. But all the others, I don't. And I talked to
Starting point is 00:42:38 them and back and forth, had a few laughs, whatever. No business, really. They know what we do here. They know how successful is no spin news and bill o'reilly.com as everybody knows everybody in the media business knows okay um and there was one guy in ms embassy i'm not going to mention his name because i don't want to get him in trouble and you know him and he was very complimentary now he came over to me i didn't you know i'm not the kind of guy that floats i kind of just stay there in one place with my assistant who has to be with me at all times when i'm in public or I have to have security, but in a party like this, I didn't have to have that. And then, you know, people come over.
Starting point is 00:43:19 But it was a good evening as far as I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while. But you don't grudges in that situation, no, but Ms. Philip. But my assistant saved me. That wouldn't have worked out to my advantage or at all. But I thought you find that story very interesting. We'll have a column. I haven't decided what I'm going to write on for Sunday, but it'll be substantial.
Starting point is 00:43:50 And we very much appreciate you watching and listening to the no spinners. Really do. I hope you understand that. And we will see you again on Monday.
