Hi, I'm Stubergier, and I've got a brand new podcast that looks at the world and current events through the lens of prediction markets. These markets can turn elections, policy fights, and economic data and cultural moments into actual tradable probabilities, and then over time, reveal patterns that traditional commentary often misses.
Starting point is 00:00:35 It's predictable with Stu, where we're making this unpredictable world a little more predictable. Be sure to download and subscribe today wherever you get your podcast. Don't miss a minute. Hey, Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Spin News from Monday, September 21st, 2006. Stand Up for Your Country at Biom Kippur to our Jewish viewers around the world. You have a good time and relax a little bit on the holiday. Big week for the country and for the world, but the USA is a very big week. So we have a press rebellion that I'm going to get to in a moment. Interesting story. And then we have China coming to the USA.
Starting point is 00:01:35 At the end of the week, she'll be here. And then we have the U.S. And President Trump is giving a speech tomorrow morning we will cover. So it's all over the place. And that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. So about the press thing. So the major corporate media says it won't cover in pool coverage Donald Trump until he lets Politico, MS, and CNN back into the fold.
Starting point is 00:02:18 So they had their credentials revoked. You didn't mention anything about AP, the Associated Press. They got booted, early part of 2025. That's been litigated. It's still in the courts. Judges don't really have any urgency here. I thought they would. Associated Press, pretty big operation.
Starting point is 00:02:38 They are banned too. So we have a situation that looks one way, but there's a lot more to it. So I wrote a column on bill o'Reilly.com, as I do every week, about the suppression of news. So the Constitution is very clear that press access is not to be abridged. So the government, Congress, whoever, can't say to the press, you can't cover the news. But if the press is misusing that, then what? And I'll give you a couple of examples in a moment. So I wrote this column and got a lot of reaction.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Most of my media friends are opposed to me that really care. what the press does as far as Donald Trump is concerned. They don't. And they don't care that the corporate media largely is allied to Democratic Party. The corporate media is trying to get Democrats elected. Now, everybody knows this. There's no debate about this. If you don't know it, you're not paying attention.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Okay? And I'll give you one example. This is about as easy as I can do it. So last week, there were two very good economic reports put out by the Census Bureau. We went over them. We reported them. The first was that poverty among American households is at its lowest level in decades. And the second one was that prosperity among American households is rising rather quickly. Now, this is in the face of the gas prices being very high and food. No doubt about that.
Starting point is 00:04:42 But you can cover both stories, as I told Pierce Morgan today. I might check that interview out. We have it posted on bill o'Reilly.com. You can cover both. It's not hard for me to cover both. Okay? So you acknowledge the pain at the pump. and then you say, but the macroeconomic picture pretty good, pretty strong.
Starting point is 00:05:07 That's all. If you want to bring an economist and talk about it, okay, to make sure that there's a balance. That's how you cover the news. Well, a few minutes after the Census Bureau came out, Aaron Burnett, CNN, brings out the usual panel of Trump haters. Nobody there that would give President Trump a fair shape. Nobody. And she does this all the time, as does CNN across the board.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Cross the board. So if you're going to watch that network, and not many people do, because they know, okay, then you're going to get this constant. Trump's the devil, Trump's the devil, Trump's the devil. It's not hard to book a dissenting voice on anything.
Starting point is 00:06:06 So if Aaron wants to book three people who hate Trump, and then she doesn't like them, said that before, and just bring in somebody, you say, wait, you're missing this. I can live with that, but no. No, no, it's hate across the board. So Trump has enough of it. And he goes, these three organizations, I believe, are not legitimately covering the news.
Starting point is 00:06:36 And there is some truth to that. Now, in the meantime, all of the big news operations have gathered together to say, we're not going to cover Trump's pool opportunities. That means there's always somebody on duty at the White House. in case something happens, or even if the president wants to wander down and chat. There's always somebody there. So everybody's pulling out, including Fox, pulling out. They're not going to cover a pool.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Okay. You don't want to cover? You don't want to cover. You guys have been suppressing the news for years. Best example I can give you. So this is a big selling book, right? It came out last week. Confronting America, what asked?
Starting point is 00:07:26 to change. I can't get booked on any network show or CNN or it won't take me. Why? Most successful nonfiction author in the world. Victor David Hansen has the number one book. Okay, because Trump endorsed the book. That's one of the reasons. And Professor Hansen can't get booked. That's suppressing the news. It's suppressing it. So we're going to banish anybody, who doesn't agree with us editorial. We're not going to put them on the air. We're not going to write about them in the paper. It's like they don't exist.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Okay, that's cancel culture, that's banished, or whatever you want to call. Is that protected by the First Amendment? Did the founding fathers want a press that banished the other side and aligned itself with one political party as the mainstream media is aligned with the Democratic Party? Now, again, if you don't believe the mainstream media wants the Democrats to win the midterms,
Starting point is 00:08:34 then there's no discussion with me. We can't discuss it if you don't believe that, because I can provide example after example after example of unfair coverage. Trump calls the fake news. There is a chapter on fake news in my new book. and I get into it in a very because I work for ABC and CBS. I know what's happening and, of course, Fox. So when you have a population of 350 million people and they cannot get information that may help them,
Starting point is 00:09:12 what is that? Is that a constitutional tenant? Is that what the founding fathers wanted? No. Will anything be done about it? No. They'll keep the press protection in place in the First Amendment. They don't want to go out in order to change it. You'd have to go through this unbelievable process. So I don't know how the Supreme Court's going to rule, but there's probably going to be some kind of order, some kind of thing that falls back. on the First Amendment, even though a lot of
Starting point is 00:09:54 legitimate, so-called legitimate, agencies are violating the spirit of the amendment. Again, Jefferson and Madison and Franklin didn't want this. Visit BetMGM Casino and check out the newest exclusive. The Price is Right

They wanted information, and you can't get information from these agencies anymore, if it's good for Trump. can't get it. So that's a very, very important thing.
Starting point is 00:11:29 The judges, the AP thing is just languishing, and that's what Trump knows. There's nobody going to be able to push him. So this will go on, maybe even until he leaves office. Nobody wants to handle us. Because if you handle it, then you have to admit this press corruption in America. I don't want to do it. They don't want to do it. I do it in a heartbeat I already have.
Starting point is 00:11:57 All right. So we associate a press just for your records. February 11, 2025, it sued Trump administration. It's in the process, but now it's September. Nothing happened. Trump knows that. He's just going to lay it out there, lay it out. Some people said, Morgan said, well, he won't be a,
Starting point is 00:12:22 able to live without the coverage. It's enough news organizations that'll go in there and fill the gap. Though the Supreme Court has never ruled against the press. Nixon tried this. Lost. Okay. So read my column, Bill O'Reilly.com. If you disagree with me, go on all my media, for instance, disagree with me.
Starting point is 00:12:52 I don't have anybody backing me up here. They're okay with the suppression of news. Okay. I'm not. And that's a memo. NBC poll. So the polls are confusing. In some national polls, the Republicans are closing the margin, and in some, they're not.
Starting point is 00:13:16 NBC, they're not. In general, do you approve or disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing his president? Prove 41, disproved 56. Reg your feelings toward each of the following terms, public figures, and groups as positive, negative, or neutral. Donald Trump, very somewhat positive, 37, very somewhat negative, 55, neutral 7. Ice, very somewhat positive, 39, very somewhat negative 51. The ICE problem could be solved by better PR. better PR. It's as simple as that. Because they're doing what they should do, what they've
Starting point is 00:13:58 been ordered to do, but the PR is not there. It's got to be very precise, but it isn't. But I've had discussions with ICE people, and they're very open. I said, look, if a judge signs a deportation order and you round that person up, who's got the order and is violating it, you've got to tell people. Because the guy may be working in a hotel, cutting the lawn, but he's still got a signed deportation order. Got to let everybody know that. Because the propaganda will overwhelm. Capitalism varies somewhat positive, 48, negative 29.
Starting point is 00:14:47 Socialism, very somewhat positive, 21. negative 52. So that's not good news for socialism. Okay, Donald Trump, as I mentioned, is going to be in New York City most of the week. And anything could happen. Greenland, I'm going to get to in a moment. Another story totally suppressed. It's ridiculous. So ridiculous. And the she thing is big. And I don't have any inside info.
Starting point is 00:15:28 But I know AI is going to be big. Iran is going to be big. And the trade situation in general. Those are the three. So I hope for the sake of the world that this thing is going to advance the cause of peace. So the Iranian president, Persenzakian, is going to give you an address on Wednesday. I'll cover it. I'm not going to suppress it.
Starting point is 00:16:05 All right, Greenland, so you remember all the hysteria, we're going to invade Greenland, we're going to take over Denmark, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And over the weekend, they made a deal. Okay, it's supposed to be announced this week. where the United States would take over military and U.S. security of that island nation. Remember, Greenland is part of Denmark, but it's kind of autonomous. So we're going to have big military bases there, and I'm sure they made a mineral deal, too. And everything is happy.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Everybody's happy. Here's what I said on January 5th. Go. Trump wants the Navy and the Air Force to have big bases to counter the Arctic expansion by Putin and China. That's what it is. You never get this kind of reporting anywhere else. But the president doesn't say that. He just shakes the cage.
Starting point is 00:17:10 And then there's minerals and stuff like that. But I expect they'll reach some kind of. deal in Greenland. Okay, there I go. And there was no, and everybody's supposedly happy. Good. El Sayed. So in the polls, he's up about two points over the Republican senatorial challenger,
Starting point is 00:17:40 Mike Rogers. So El Sajed is a rapid. radical leftist who doesn't like his country. I could play 15 soundbites to prove that. I'll play one. This is on defunding the police. Go. Do police really need to use guns?
Starting point is 00:18:03 Do we need as much of a police force? And so if we ask ourselves about how we spend money in the public, where that money goes, where it comes from. We need to make a lot better decisions about investing in the things that root out poverty rather than investing in policing poverty. Okay, so let the criminals run while, right?
Starting point is 00:18:31 We don't need the cops. Guy, you don't need these police. Democratic Party's thrown its power behind El-Said in Michigan. Roll the tape. Well, we're gonna win Michigan. Abdul is a really good candidate. Mike Rogers is a joke, a guy who continues to cheerlead war, who's going to be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump. Listen, I appreciate the fact, and I have from the beginning that Abdul sees this world
Starting point is 00:19:02 is a fight between worker power and corporate power. And frankly, we need more people like that in the United States Senate. Senator Kelly, do you... I'm going to be in Michigan here in a couple weeks. Senator Kelly, do you think that El Saeed needs to adjust his message at all going forward? Thank you. Have a good one. Awful. So the Democratic Party is hoping that Al-Said can beat Rogers.
Starting point is 00:19:33 So I told you last week that we put in a call to Mr. Rogers. We did not get his point of view and see how he is conducting. his campaign, right? So up against a pretty powerful democratic machine in Michigan, you'd want to see how they're going to defeat that machine. It's not all about El Cyanid, but you could say whatever he wants. So our producers, the best in the business, call Alyssa Broulet, the communications director for Mike Rogers. Okay. Doesn't answer or call. We call it three times. Didn't even give us the courtesy of an answer, like, we'll get back to you, we'll do nothing.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Okay, that tells me that Rogers doesn't know what he's doing. So this program reaches millions of people through social media and our presentation and all of that. And we invite you on the program and you don't even acknowledge the invitation and you're two points behind this radical Muslim guy? Does that make any sense to you? Is that a good strategy? Mike Rogers. Hi, I'm Stubergier and I've got a brand new podcast that looks at the world and current
Starting point is 00:21:12 events through the lens of prediction markets. These markets can turn elections, policy fights. and economic data and cultural moments into actual tradable probabilities, and then over time reveal patterns that traditional commentary often misses. It's predictable with Stu, where we're making this unpredictable world a little more predictable. Be sure to download and subscribe today wherever you get your podcasts. Don't miss a minute. Nothing I can do about it.
Starting point is 00:21:41 I mean, if I ever run into them, I'll say, hey, that's not a good look. I think Rogers will beat them. El-Said, but raise it then. And Mike, if you're not napping, you might reconsider this communication strategy. All right, AI, it's going to be a issue in the midterms, but not yet. It hasn't really overwhelmed the country yet, but it's coming. So it's going to be gasoline and food. that are going to help the Democrats,
Starting point is 00:22:25 and then the MAGA people will stand by their man, not to the extent that they did last time around, 77 million votes, but then I gotta throw Trump, not in the face of who's running against the Republicans. I don't think it's, but AI, and there was a piece on 60 minutes last night, about people not wanting AI in their neighborhoods. I understand that.
Starting point is 00:22:58 So there are two sides to the story. Now, we reported AI last week, okay? And we wanted to get on the record a, you know, good AI, bad AI. What should Americans think? Because it's complicated. In addition, it's political. So you got two presidents
Starting point is 00:23:22 involved now. You got Barack Obama who wants to limit AI, and then you have Donald Trump who does not roll it. So my view this week has been, it is good that some of the leading companies have said, we need to slow this down. And we should encourage that. There have been, there have been, and some on the left who said we shouldn't allow them to make that decision. I agree that that can't be a long-term solution. Government has to be regulating this. All right, and then the president sees it entirely differently. Go.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Whoever wins AI, and we're leading by a lot. Whoever wins AI wins. it yourself or have you been? Okay. So it's complicated, right? It's political, it's foggy, it's technology. So after I did my initial report on dangers of AI, I think that's paramount, we're going to do another big one later on this week so everybody knows what's in play.
Starting point is 00:24:46 A guy named Robert Salvador from Miami posted on social media. Hey, Bill, you're 90 years old and use nose technology. I'm sorry, you're in no position to opine on this. Okay, I'm not quite 90, but I get your point. I don't know a lot about this kind of stuff. Now, Mr. Salvador runs companies that profit from AI. and he's the CEO of Promota.a.ai joins us now from South Florida. Okay, I'm not mad at you for mocking me and my age and my disability when it comes to high tech.
Starting point is 00:25:38 The age you had off, but I'm not a high tech guy. But what I'm trying to do is give the American people both sides. of this very intense controversy. Now, I don't mind you making money on it, but if there's some danger, like massive hacking, for example, or the ability to not obey what the instructions might be
Starting point is 00:26:07 from the robots manager, I'm going to bring that out. Am I wrong? Well, first, Bill, thanks for having me. Obviously, you have to be a little bit loud, online to get the attention, and I'm glad you brought me in to talk about this because it is a really important thing. It's the future of our country. You're seeing a lot of propaganda from overseas pushing bad AI narratives right now. Now, to your question, we certainly want to be careful
Starting point is 00:26:36 with new technology, but well before many of the things that these doomers are pushing out there, there will be incredible things that happen for people of all ages. We're talking healthcare breakthroughs. We're talking expansions of the U.S. economy. We're talking even everyday things you can look at in politics. You know, Bill, you've covered for years. You're a legend, as I alluded to. It used to be a day where you could not figure out what was in a large spending bill. And they would put that out.
Starting point is 00:27:05 They would put the bill text out a couple hours before the vote. And America would have no idea what's in that bill. That no longer exists because AI, large language models, AI agents, can go through that data immediately and tell you what's in there. So you can look at the good positive things that are going to happen for the country well before any of these very, very conditioned, very lab-focused bad situations that are coming out in the media. And I'm happy to talk more about it, but I think my main point here is cancer will be cured. We'll have energy breakthroughs.
Starting point is 00:27:43 So let's see some of that. let's have that happen before these big AI companies come out and say, this is going to kill us all, only we can regulate it. And I think that's why this is an important discussion. I get the two sides of the story. So right now, and it could change. My opinion is that you've got to go ahead with AI because of China primarily, because they're not going to have any regulations on AI. They're going to do what they want. Seiz your property, they're seizing.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Out of control stuff, Wuhan Lab. All right, COVID. So they're going to do what they want. We in the United States don't operate that way. So we have to have some kind of regulations, for example. It'll be a lot easier for bad guys to hack into computers, personal privacy, even the Pentagon or CIA. It would be a lot easier.
Starting point is 00:28:37 So I would say to Congress, you've got to up the penalties for that. So if somebody hacks, it's no longer, well, you know, it's a little thing. It's not a little thing, particularly if we get foreign agents hacking into our system. And Putin does this all day long every day. So we've got to have, number one, the law on our side. You wouldn't object to that, would you? No, and I think there are a lot of existing laws, Carney, already out there that hold these companies accountable. I mean, I'm certainly open to expanding.
Starting point is 00:29:14 as new technology comes in and making it and making it applicable to new technology. But I think the issue is the parties that came out, Anthropic, for example, which is run by EA's effective altruists, want a very different type of regulation than someone reasonable like an Elon Musk who says, hey, sure, we absolutely should have some sort of guidelines in place, some sort of system in place. But I think Dario and a couple of the others coming out and saying, we need to stop this right now. To your point, I think that is more, first, we can't do that because of China, like you said. But secondly, I think the mainstream media gave them backup because it's more regulatory capture from a company
Starting point is 00:29:52 that might have more financial model problems than AI model problems. But I definitely don't disagree with you, Bill. And you could see it on 60 Minutes. They were very sympathetic to the people in Texas, the farmers and their ranchers, whose property is being bought up by AI companies to put big plants on that property
Starting point is 00:30:13 which changes the whole dynamic of the areas where these AI corporations are, where the physical plant is. Now, that helps unemployment. Obviously, AI is going to employ. It's predictable with Stu, where we're making this unpredictable world a little more predictable. Be sure to download and subscribe today wherever you get your podcast. Don't miss a minute. A lot more Americans than we have now. It's going to provide a lot of jobs. But at the same time, these people are scared. You got this big, Colossus coming in, changing their way of life. 60 minutes was sympathetic to that.
Starting point is 00:31:47 And that's what they usually do. And I'm not criticizing 60 minutes, but I'm more level-headed. I'm saying, okay, here's the problem, that you have the potential of weaponizing, and the Chinese are all over that. And you know Putin will be in that game, too, and Islam, the Islamic fanatics, weaponizing these things. Okay? So what is our counter to the weaponization of AI?
Starting point is 00:32:17 I mean, that need, Congress needs to get involved with that, no? Sure. So I think you bring up two really good points there. So one is the data centers in certain areas. And I think you're absolutely right. Like we need to set a very clear line. Innovation is great, but no, we should not be building hyperscale data centers in people's backyards, right?
Starting point is 00:32:36 The same way we shouldn't build airports in people's backyards. yards. Now, if you want to move there into an area you know that's industrial, then sure. But no, that should be at the county level or at the state level. You've seen some good legislation, like, for example, down in Florida, Governor DeSantis, who often does a good job. He has a Florida Doge program, which uses AI to do some of the things I mentioned, but he's put state legislation in place to make sure those data centers aren't raising power or raising the utility bill and things like that. Now, you make another good point on the hacking, but I also, I would point to what David Sacks, you know, a technologist who advises President Trump said about that,
Starting point is 00:33:13 which is the free market will deal with hacking, with AI, in the same way it did with the Internet. Cyber security became a big thing. So you're eventually going to have AIs from good American companies that fight other AIs to stop these hacks. But I don't disagree with you, Bill, that there's a conversation that we want to move into these discussions properly. Look, it's breaking down the way it always does. So liberal Americans are more skeptical now than conservative Americans on the entire issue. I don't know how that happened or why it happened. I mean, Bernie Sanders, I understand he wants to tax everything to death and ban stuff and all that.
Starting point is 00:33:59 But you would agree with me, and you are in the business. You are making money off AI that Congress should sit down and enumerate what could go wrong and then try to deal with that through federal law. You would support that. I would agree with Congress taking proper, ideally limited action. I want to lean into the boom side of it, the good thing side of it. I don't think that that devastation side of it is as real, but I'm not against what you're saying. Greater good, though.
Starting point is 00:34:37 Greater good. We're looking at a situation where a lot of people are scared. Well, a lot of people, the conspiracy thing has just run wild in America for the last 30 years. Okay. I think that the robots are going to take us over and kill us all. You know that. You've got to bring some relief into that arena by saying if you are doing everything, the federal government has a right of inspection, for example.
Starting point is 00:35:06 The Department of Interior can go in there and look at what you're doing. I think that should be a law. Yeah, I mean, I think each case, you know, matters individually because there's a million different ways you could go. But yes, I'm not opposed to the government being able to, you know, assess dangerous situations and avoid that. And I think you make a great point about a win for the public because you are right. A terrible narrative has come forward with data centers and AI.
Starting point is 00:35:33 I think there is some good legislation that's being mentioned or coming up with like data center protection, taxpayer protection. I think it could give that win. It is polarizing like everything else in this country, as you know. But it has to be dealt with, and that's a problem with Congress. I don't want to deal with anything. Final question. So President Trump has now formed an AI force. Do you know what that is?
Starting point is 00:35:58 I'm not quite sure what that is. I would not presume to know what the president's going to do with that. I mean, I think he's done a good job with things like Space Force. I appreciate that he's listening to people like David Sachs who build but build reasonably. So I could see, you know, someone like that being involved. I don't personally know our, the extent of our involvement is we use AI to find efficiencies and waste and, you know, try and correct that in government. So I do think it could be a great program, but I don't know myself, Bill. You have a more informed me.
Starting point is 00:36:28 By Thursday, we'll find out. But it is a complicated, scary. But Robert, you'll probably do very well because you're right about the medical aspect of it and the employment aspect of it, all of that.
