Starting point is 00:00:00 This episode is brought to you by Prime. Obsession is in session. And this summer, Prime Originals have everything you want. Steamy romances, irresistible love stories, and the book-to-screen favorites you've already read twice. Off-campus, every year after, the love hypothesis, Sterling Point, and more. Slow burns, second chances, chemistry you can feel through the screen. Your next obsession is waiting. Watch only on Prime.
Starting point is 00:00:30 Winter is so last season. And now spring's got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang on the patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear open that envelope.
Starting point is 00:00:54 It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. And there was a hot take that came in, I'm sorry to branch out again, that said, no, I can't, yes, I can. You can. It was like, hot take,
Starting point is 00:01:10 we don't need to be supporting all women. So I'm not going to comment on the- Right. And I think that's fair. I think we can. That's more for, I think, you guys to comment on. Well, we just don't support bad people, I think is what it is.
Starting point is 00:01:24 Right. Yeah. I agree with that. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Do I support a woman? No.
Starting point is 00:01:30 No. Nice. Very succinct answer. You don't need to elaborate on at all. Yes. That's enough of that. I stand with Brooke just so I can get that on camera. I think that is, I, that's it. That is it for me.
Starting point is 00:01:43 I agree. We salute your stance. No need to keep even talking about it. We wanted to do hot takes today and that was great. Yes, thank you guys. Thank you guys. I have a warm up question that doesn't have to be on the podcast just to get us kind of talking. Please.
Starting point is 00:02:17 What would your death row last meal be? Oh, he wants to go first. Ew, Connor. Jack, do you know? Hey, Jack. Oh, my God. Sorry, it's not on the podcast. Discussing.
Starting point is 00:02:30 I'm intrigued to hear what Jack would eat because. Probably like an omacase. What's an omacase? You've never been to nobu? Oh, my gosh. I would have corn on the cob. Okay. Really?
Starting point is 00:02:42 That's a preface is that you. Well, that's a difference in taste. You can take a pill that will allow your stomach to expand and you could eat truly whatever you want multiple courses from multiple different genres of food. John and Vinnie's. John and Vinny's. I still wouldn't want to have that many carbs. That's why I was intrigued to hear
Starting point is 00:02:57 like how healthy is he going to stay before death. Yeah, well, I don't want to like go into the afterlife like ugly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good point. Well, I personally, I would have my mom's poppy seed chicken casserole. Okay. I would have, of course, like wine or a cocktail.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Mm-hmm. I would have. Don't yuck her yum. I've just never heard of it. Like, what is that? It's a casserole. With poppy seed and chickens. I guess it's a southern thing.
Starting point is 00:03:21 We used to have it. in our high school. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. One of our hot days. There's actually someone that deems me every day being like, send me your mom's casserole recipe, but like I don't have it. That's like scary.
Starting point is 00:03:31 Like how do they know that? I don't know. I think I said it one time and then they were just like. That's creepy. Right. That's like a stalker. Okay. Don't you think?
Starting point is 00:03:37 Maybe. I'm just happy to have a man in my DMs. My death row meal, I would start with sugar fish, which is. Okay. So you can't laugh at my like nobo thing. Well, if they don't have sugar fish near my local prison, I would be, open to any sort of sushi. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:03:54 And then that would be the appetizer, and then I'd go in with a turkey hoagie with lettuce, tomato. You would start with sushi and lead that into a turkey hoagie? Yes. Those are just like so wildly different. And then it's from Narberth Pizza in Pennsylvania. Look into the light.
Starting point is 00:04:08 And then. Nice. Bless you. Is that like a protocol here? No, if you look into the light, it should help you kind of just expedite the sneezing process. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Same with the sun. I have a question. And then I would do a side of it. of matzabal soup with where did you hear that you should like look directly into this one time you sneeze i'm sorry we we we do need to be i'll answer your question just one sorry no yeah let's not we can't talk over each other today and i'm saying that from me as much as i'm saying it out loud i have a question and i that sounds like an awesome meal even get to dessert oh well it's fine no what's after the hoagie well then i would have fries and mashed potatoes as well and then i would
Starting point is 00:04:47 have cheesecake tiramisu and bread pudding okay that's like thank you for your career i didn't you were a bread pudding girl i didn't know that either until the other night well have you had crispy cream bread pudding where they take old crispy cream donuts and make how old babe i don't know well don't you make bread pudding with like old bread isn't that like part of the recipe that was not something that oh i thought you leave it out right it's like similar to a crouton wow okay but crispy cream bread pudding that sounds delectable so good no well you would never eat it no jack is a bit of a um a A fitness hot body. Are we allowed to talk about your kidney stones?
Starting point is 00:05:26 Oh, I would love to talk. I guess before we get into your kidney stones, let's tell everyone who you are. Do you mind if I ask my question that I've been like waiting very patiently for your bread pudding and your four-course meal on death row? You're going to shay your pants on death row, by the way. You're going to have a... That's going to be everybody. You want a way to go out. Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Your tin coarse tiramisu. I'll go out the way I came in. Your sushi and tiramisu and like hoagie is coming out. Right, as fast as it went in. And it's going to be... Such a brutal combination. The raw fish, the cold cut turkey, and then cheesecake. That's about to be everybody else's problem on whatever floor you're being executed on.
Starting point is 00:06:03 The matzabal soup is a good palate concert. But anyway, Connor, your question. My question, I couldn't help but notice everybody's crotchial areas as we walked in here today. We're all wearing button flies. Oh, my God. Button flies. Instead of a zipper? No zippers.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Mine opens on its own all the time. Mine's constantly open. And Jack, that's the issue I wanted to. to raise this morning. We really, we are God's bravest warriors because I was in Target the other day and felt a little draft on my nether regions. My dick was out in Target. No. Go figure. Were you not wearing underwear? No, I never wear underwear. In jeans? So you were freeballing. I'm not wearing underwear right now. You assume the risk when you do that. I know. I know what I'm doing over here. I just think that it's just a crazy brave thing of us all to do because it's that extra step.
Starting point is 00:06:51 is you kind of have to work your little thumbs into the anyways so yeah i guess brook i'll hand it back to you yeah well um this is sallidar and this is jack and they are our dearest dearest friends and what's so special about them is that we lived with them for three months from january 2020 to march the end of march 2020 in 2021 and i'm starting over we We lived with each other from January 2021 to March 2021. Yep. And I guess you could call what we did a content house. Right.
Starting point is 00:07:31 And it was called Common Room, L.A. And we are here to talk about that experience today. So thank you guys for coming. It is an honor and a privilege and an emotional, beautiful experience to see you sitting here again. That made it sound like a support group, which I guess is. In a way, we were supporting each other. Right. In a way it is.
Starting point is 00:07:50 So again, we have Jack Martin and we have Salidar Griffin on today for the audio only folks. I'm getting better at describing things. Salidar is wearing a gorgeous knitted sweater that she made with her own two hands. Saladar, can you show us? It says flop era. It says flop era. Is that for sale? Good question.
Starting point is 00:08:11 The pattern is for sale. It will be for sale in two weeks. And Brooke is actually helping me test knit the pattern. So Brooke will be making her own flop era sweater. Wow. And I have already called and texted Sally Dar crying multiple times. And I have restarted already after two rows of knitting. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:30 So it should be interesting. We'll figure it out. And normalize giving up if it gets too hard. Connor completely. But I'm not giving up. You will see me here mark my words two weeks from today when it's due. I'll be wearing my own version of that sweater. In what colors you may ask?
Starting point is 00:08:45 Not green. Not green. Not green. Could you make me like a skin type? sleeveless flop-barra sweater. I could, but I don't know if I would want to see that. You're sure?
Starting point is 00:08:56 Very Jacoba. Very Jacob allurety-esque. Right. He has a shoot. He has a shoot in a crop top, knitted, knitware. Well, I'll be Googling that later. He knows. He could just do anything and say anything and wear anything,
Starting point is 00:09:15 and it is a gift to us all. And speaking of the devil, have an awesome. We have a sweet show. Sweet show. As far as I know. But I would be remiss if we didn't at least allude to the fact that this is for the last time, Euphoria Recap podcast. This is the last time that we can talk about Euphoria for two years. So you bet your bottom dollar that we are going to do it. And then we'll get into all the nitty gritties of what
Starting point is 00:09:41 it was like being in a content house when you're almost 30. And it's awesome because now we have a four-part kind of conglomerate here. that's going to chime in on all aspects. My biggest issue with this, I brought up plot holes last week. Before you get into it, there will be spoilers. Oh, spoilers. So if you didn't watch Euphoria or don't care,
Starting point is 00:10:03 and I haven't seen the last three episodes. And Jack hasn't seen it, so we'll be spoiling it for him as well. And no offense at all, and I love you dearly. That is on you, babe. It's totally on me. So just skip to... 21 minutes and five seconds. Seriously, if you don't want spoilers,
Starting point is 00:10:15 skip ahead to 21 minutes and five seconds. Nice. Yeah. And then, yeah, so let's get into it. I brought up plot holes last week. Yeah. This is a show built on plot holes. Nothing was explained.
Starting point is 00:10:32 Right. Nothing was elaborated on. We had people written off the show at the end. We had people that Sam Levinson may have just forgotten to write lines for it, it seems. We had a 10-minute ensemble by Dominique Fike. Dominique? Dominic. How does it go?
Starting point is 00:10:48 Dominic? Dominic. Dominic. I just like, basically, Jack, it left me really just not even needing a third time. I understand what to expect if we're going to keep going down this road. They need. I don't want to be. Can I tell Jack what I'm going to tell me.
Starting point is 00:11:06 He has so much passion. I feel like I need to have an opinion. I feel like I need a rant about this. You would lose your freaking mind. It was a continuation of Lexi's play. Okay. And we were also seeing what was happening to Fez. Right.
Starting point is 00:11:18 And did it, I don't know if this happened in the episode before the finale, but Ashtray ended up stabbing that guy. I think that was in the most recent, yeah. So that one of their friends, Faye's boyfriend. Like with a shank just stabs him in the neck. So Faye's friend, Faye's boyfriend was actually an informant and trying to get them charged with the murder of that other drug supplier, mouse, that Ashtray did also murder. So catching on to what was happening, Ashtray moved forward with stabbing him in the neck. via shank. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Or not. And then it became clear that the cops were on their way and Fez was like, Ashtray leave. Like, I'm going to take the fall for this. And so what Ashtray did instead of leaving was gathered every sort of gun that they had in their house, which was about 20 of them hid in the bathtub and then entered into some sort of insane like shoot off with the cops through the bathroom door because he had locked himself in the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:12:18 while that shootoff was happening Fez got shot Well because Fez was standing in front of the door He was standing in the door He surrendered and he was like Please don't shoot There's a kid in there There's a kid in there
Starting point is 00:12:25 I can't tell if you're fucking with me I'm not really what this is happening There's like a diehard Ashtray has like a rifle Ashtray is behind the bathroom Dahls shooting through the door There's bullets whizzing through the hallway And then
Starting point is 00:12:36 It's like Robert De Niro's So after this shootoff What's happening online Well like clips of this scene Or going online And people that don't watch Are like what the fuck is this show about I don't know how you miss this
Starting point is 00:12:47 on the internet. Yeah, I mean, it was just, I'm like, so behind. Yeah, I see that. And then they stopped shooting. The bathroom door opened. Ashtray shot one of the cops. And then just like, it was this, like,
Starting point is 00:13:03 insane slow scene of, like, the laser being, like, on. What do you call that a laser beam? Like the sniper. The sniper. Yeah. They shoot him. They shoot him. They kill Ashtray.
Starting point is 00:13:14 They kill Ashtray. And Fez is shot. I got, I mean, I think he did. I guess, like, kill that. You know who had a crazy character arch And I just wasn't sure about this girl, Fay. Yeah, she warned them that it was going to happen. So she came out.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Those lips? Although they all died anyway, though. Well, I think Fez is probably alive. Okay. Hopefully. But the warning didn't really do a lot. It feels like. It maybe could have done more if Astray didn't stab that guy in the neck.
Starting point is 00:13:40 I don't know why he did that. Is there any reason for him to shake? I think he didn't, I don't think he realized. I think he just fiercely. wants to protect Fez. Right. I also don't think he was fully aware that like he was an informant, right?
Starting point is 00:13:51 Like I don't think he... I think he's just unhinged a little bit. Okay, yeah, or that. And I wonder like, was he just shooting at the cops because he's unhinged or did he want to protect Fez? We don't have any motives. We don't.
Starting point is 00:14:02 And we won't. We won't have any clarity on that. And that's a beautiful, that's a beautiful thing for Sam Levinson because he probably was just like, nah. Yeah. Apparently,
Starting point is 00:14:12 uh, what would you like? Yeah. Astray came out like yesterday. Like yesterday they, uh, I forget the kids. name, but he's like, yeah, I wasn't supposed to die. They changed it the day before.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Oh, my God. I did not know that. Fes was supposed to die. Because I'm sure the public was just like, please don't get rid of Faz. And they're like, well, the public should have had in charge. Showing up to the set. And they're like, yeah, you're actually fired. We changed our mind. Yeah. Kill you on. We don't know he's dead. He didn't confirm that he's dead. And they
Starting point is 00:14:37 said, like, he may not be dead. Right. Because I didn't see his dead body. I mean, but, I mean, he's like a child who was shot in the head, right? We didn't see him. We just saw the laser beam. Honestly, they're not. Well, I mean, those cops were like really shooting. I don't feel like they would kill him, though. They would just take him to...
Starting point is 00:14:50 They had the pointer on his forehead, the last scene, but he said in the interview, he was like, I don't 100% know if my character's dead, but I don't think that Sam Levinson's wrote it yet. I don't think he knows. I think he's like on Twitter like, shit, should I kill this kid? Right. Yeah, Sam has no idea. But anyway. Yeah, so...
Starting point is 00:15:11 Did you like it? Can I, can we pull something up really quick? Yeah, no, I didn't like it. You didn't. I have one big. big issue that I kept noticing in this play. Basically, like, Maddie finally beats the shit out of Cassie. Cassie's, like, there's like a UFC Maddie versus Cassie. She chases her down, beats her ass. The mom's like, on stage. The mom is like protecting. Okay, that was. That's the best part.
Starting point is 00:15:33 That was really good. Sydney Sweeney, like, I actually worry that people are going to attribute how much they hate Cassie to Sydney Sweeney. They're going to like carry over because that happens She's that good. She's so good. She's so damn good. And she got engaged yesterday. No, she didn't. Rumor. in my day. It was confirmed by TMZ, and we have no choice but to believe TMZ because... Right.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Well, people say Taylor Swift's engaged, too. And... I just haven't seen anything about Sidney and I don't get off my phone for one second. I actually did see that. You can look it up. I try. You just type in Sydney, Sweeney, Engage on Google.
Starting point is 00:16:07 Right. Well, I'll believe it when I see it. I tried my hardest, Connor. I don't know what you want for me. Here's one of my issues. Did you guys notice, by chance? How slow everybody moves? in like fighting scenes in this show.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Can we pull up Cassie versus Maddie fight euphoria? And just so we can view. They're like running and it's like me running in a dream. Like I'm running and I'm putting a lot of effort into running. Aren't they wearing heels? They're wearing heels because you wear those to high school. I know, but yeah, right. Salidar.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Yeah. I mean, I did all the time. Right, but I just. We're shocked. Watching some right now. Watch. Can we just. This is actually where she says this bitch needs to be put down.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Yeah, I love that line. And it was a class. And it'll go down in history. is one of the most beautiful pieces of obstructive literature. Written word or spoken word. Shakespearean. Yep. And there it is.
Starting point is 00:16:54 And Maddie has... I think it's the heels, Connor. I think that's what you're seeing. Yeah. No, no, no. When they're running... Well, she took them off. She takes them up.
Starting point is 00:17:01 She takes up the heels... That just blew up that theory. In the hallway. And Vap Girl has come in once again. We needed some of her. We needed a cameo. We get one hit. That's looking pretty intense to me.
Starting point is 00:17:13 No, no, no. When they run down the hallway, you'll see it. And I've seen this so many times where when Maddie is chasing Cassie up Look at how slow they're moving You've been watching this cat fight a lot, huh? He's seen this six times Yeah
Starting point is 00:17:24 No, when the last time When they were doing the intervention And Maddie, look, look at them, she's barefoot No, Cassie's wearing heels I know, but Maddie could have kicked her ass so much faster She also just ran into the wall herself Like she wasn't even pushed them Yeah, she just face planted
Starting point is 00:17:41 Yeah Yeah, so I mean that was a point That's all I wanted to say They just move very, very unrealistic slowly. And we could read into that as much as we want. Maybe it's them clawing their way into normalcy outside of high school, just a very slow process. The way you described it, I was picturing like a brutal fist fight. And really it was just her like running face first into a brick wall.
Starting point is 00:18:03 So that was. Yeah. And when you see the scene after when they're sitting in the bathroom, which is very vague and confusing at the end. This is just the beginning. Confusing. Yeah. Sydney's face is just beat to a pulp and we have no information on how that happened. Yeah, I think it's interesting that out of all the unrealistic things in euphoria,
Starting point is 00:18:20 you're stuck on them moving a little bit slower. Frustrating to me, and it's hard for me not to poke holes in plots because I have really not that much going on in my personal life. But I think also one big one that everybody brought up that I've been waiting. I thought this was going to be the big thing that happened. Where is the money? Where's the suitcase full of draw? Yeah, I don't wait.
Starting point is 00:18:41 I don't know. And then I saw on Twitter, everyone's like, well, that's why there's a season three, but also. Here's my issue. Is that never brought up again? No. We get no closure and then get this. Have you guys ever owed somebody money for dinner on Venmo? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:56 That is the scariest thing on the planet. And if you owe someone money and they click Remind, it's like someone's out for blood for me. Can you imagine owing someone $10,000 in drug money? You bring that up felt like targeted. Like you looked right at Brooke when you said that. You ever owed someone money for dinner? I don't owe you shit, babe.
Starting point is 00:19:13 If anyone's bad with Venmos, it's you. Well, okay. Was this a setup? Is this like an intervention? Yeah, of sorts. We're not even talking about euphoria. Yeah, yeah. So we have a great show.
Starting point is 00:19:24 I'm never fucking paying you back. We have a great show for you today. It's called chivalry. Well, so did you like the finale or not? No. Okay. And I liked it. I really live my life based on other people telling me how I should feel because I could
Starting point is 00:19:38 have waited. If I got on Twitter and I was like, that was a beautiful piece of artistry. And we're so lucky to have Sam Levinson, I would have been like, oh, yeah. Yeah. But because everyone was like, what the fuck was at? Like, this writing is trash, like all this stuff. They need a new writers. And I'm like, yeah. Yeah. I think the finale was good. And it was the first time that things actually happened. But the season was bad. Yeah, the overall season is like, what was happening? But I liked the second to last episode the best, the one that's all about the play. Right. Much better than the finale. But I also just like love like, I want to be like sexy. Yeah. I thought that's really good. Is that like a hot take? Does everyone hate this season? The stuff with Rue and her mom is like... That was a little bit... That's not... It's dark.
Starting point is 00:20:19 That was a little bit too real for me. That episode we talked about on here, it was just like, this is kind of not why I started watching the show. Right. It was just like too much. Yeah. And now we have Outer Banks...
Starting point is 00:20:26 I go back and forth. I do feel like that's the point of the show. I mean, essentially it was, but like we kind of want... Well, I've said it before. Like, I don't want it to be that heavy. It comes out on Sundays. Sunday Scaries.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Coupled with like a show about addiction and facing addiction. Not like cup of tea for a Sunday evening by myself. like having. It's like Harry Potter where it's like I just want like one normal day at Hogwarts. Like I don't want Voldemort coming in. I don't want like I just want to see them like waking up their morning routine going to do potions like I just want a normal day at Hogwarts. I want a right I want a normal day at euphoria high. What does that look like? I think a normal day at euphoria high is high heels
Starting point is 00:21:03 and percassette. Right. That's a that would be like a really good song. Yeah that's what I was yeah. I'd look at that out. I think this is part too. You can't win because if you go too heavy you have Connor who's like, oh, it's too heavy. I don't want that. And if you go too light, it's like, wow, this isn't the reality of drug addiction. It would turn into Wizards of Waverly Places. Right. So it's just like... Really quickly.
Starting point is 00:21:23 Can't please everyone. That's a good comp. Yeah. Before, yeah. I also, two more hot takes. This show has a lot of hot takes. Fez or Astray, liability. Needed to probably die. Yeah. Lexi?
Starting point is 00:21:35 Annoying. No. I mean, it's a hot take for a reason. Well, can I say something? I think I'm a Lexi. Like, I think that I'm very much. Lexi. And so you don't like me is what I'm hearing. No comment. I see you as innate. Right. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. All right. Well, I think that's a great way to... That's a great way to wrap up our euphoria recap. We'll see you in 2024. I have more to say about the finale, but we can... Well, that's fine. No, we can keep going on. We can offline.
Starting point is 00:22:06 We can come back. We can offline and circle back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So this show, we're really excited to have our friends, again, Jack Martin, Sally Daur on. We all started on TikTok. We're going to run through some. We had a bunch of emails and questions about how we all got started and what the process was like in an adult content house. Right. That does not sound. In an 18 plus content house.
Starting point is 00:22:31 An X-rated content house. Adult content house, parentheses, passionate. Just a heads up. If you're listening at work, this is NSFdubs. And if you're watching on YouTube, put it in your head. phones. I guess that people know a little bit about or a lot of bit about me and Connor's backgrounds at this point before, you know, we got to this point. Can you guys tell us a little bit about how you started on TikTok and that journey for you individually before we became one? Would you like to
Starting point is 00:23:02 go first? Sure. I had graduated college to try to be an actor and I was just living on my sister's couch and bartending. And then I started doing TikTok out of pure desperation. Right. Was your first TikTok, I think it was, was it the one when you were in a car? Carrey Underwood, right? Was it the carry Underwood one? That was the first one that did anything. Yeah, before that it was just cringe. Yeah. I was just posting cringe. Yeah. Not that I'm not anymore. And how has that changed? It hasn't. Okay. I just, maybe I was more aware of it at the time. I just wanted to get that on. Yeah. No, I mean, the first one you guys saw, that was me completely unhinged, even more than I am now, pulled over on the side of the freeway with like 18 wheelers speeding at me, spitting and screaming in
Starting point is 00:23:44 camera about Carrie Underwood. That was what made me follow you. Yeah. Would you be able to describe that video and the contents of it? Basically, I was driving from Long Island to Florida. It was a three-day drive. And I was just like chugging energy drinks. And I was a little out of my mind.
Starting point is 00:24:01 I'd been driving for like probably 70 hours straight. And I had been listening to before he cheats just like over and over again. Great song. So good. So good. I still have it on repeat. No way. And I just couldn't stop listening to it.
Starting point is 00:24:14 And then all of a sudden I realized I had like really strong opinions about the lyrics. Right. Because she said, you know, that won't be on me. And I was like, what does that mean? She's like, I might save a little trouble for the next girl. It's like, how? You just like beat the shit out of his car. Right.
Starting point is 00:24:30 How does that help the next girl at all? She doesn't care about the next girl. The next girl doesn't have to carve her name into his leather seats. Oh, wait. Yes, she does. I believe she's not doing that. Because it's Carrie's name in his leather seats. Wow.
Starting point is 00:24:40 we could do a full episode on dissecting before he cheats. It's just like not woman supporting woman. Like it won't be on me if he cheats on you. It's maybe the worst setup for the next girl. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I saw something the other day that was like pretty little, wait, what is it? Pretty little, what does she say? Pretty little drink because she can't shoot whiskey.
Starting point is 00:24:57 What does she say? You know what I'm trying about? Pretty little drink because you can't shoot. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, like that's also just like not. Like, why are you putting down what a girl orders? Hey, it was a different time. I guess.
Starting point is 00:25:07 I guess. It was like 10 years ago. And there was a hot take that came in. I'm sorry to branch out again that said, no, I can't yes, I can. You can. It was like hot take, we don't need to be supporting
Starting point is 00:25:20 all women. Oh, I didn't. So I'm not going to comment on them. Right. And I think that's fair. I think we can. That's more for, I think you guys to comment. Well, we just don't support bad people I think is what it is. Right. I agree with that. Yeah. That's what it is. Yeah. Right. Do I support a woman?
Starting point is 00:25:37 No. No. Nice. Very succinct. And you don't need to elaborate on it at all. Yes. That's enough of that. I stand with Brooke just so I can get that on camera. I think that is, I, that's it.
Starting point is 00:25:50 That is it for me. I agree. And we salute your stance. No need to keep even talking about it. We wanted to do hot tics today and that was great. Yes, thank you guys. Thank you guys. We can clip that.
Starting point is 00:26:00 Yeah. Yeah, let's clip that. Jack, so you're on your TikTok. That's it. Three second TikTok. Do I support all women? No. No.
Starting point is 00:26:09 To be frank. Thank you for your question. Keep asking questions, keep being curious. Do I support women? All women? No. That would expose you to a whole new demo. I know, that would be.
Starting point is 00:26:22 You might get comments like Jack did. I'll do it. Tune in next week when we unpack the response to that TikTok post. We're having Joe Rogan on me. And Howard Stern. Brooke is doing an MMA podcast. To discuss women.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Should they have rights? Maybe. Maybe. It's not for me to say. Hands on. I'm just asking the questions here. Jack, so you're pulled over on the side of the road. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:43 You're losing your mind. You're having a bit of a, maybe not a spiral, but maybe a little twirl. Yeah. And you're creating what ended up being viral content on TikTok. Yeah. I mean, I was just sort of, like literally spitting. That wasn't even an exaggeration. If you watch those videos, you can see just like so much liquid flying out of my mouth.
Starting point is 00:27:03 I don't know if that's like because I just kept having gas station energy drinks as my meals. Or if there's like something just like, wrong with my mouth. I don't know if that's really with a point of your question. What's your energy drink of choice? Wasn't it like monster or something? At the time it was bang.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Oh, right, right. Which I regret. Right, right. Because you weren't sponsored then. I wasn't sponsored. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it was TikTok.
Starting point is 00:27:23 It was crazy. Right. It was like Woodstock. No, I was there. I was there. Yeah, but you weren't banging. Oh. Yet.
Starting point is 00:27:31 That's, yeah. You weren't banging? Yeah, no. You have to be banging. Don't you think? Were you banging? I don't like a many beverage. Oh, what are we talking about?
Starting point is 00:27:41 Oh, I guess I lost the plot. I've never had a bang energy drink. Okay, so I think maybe. So. Not even in like a serious relationship? So you are too good. We're all banging. We're all rocking the stang.
Starting point is 00:28:00 So you, so we're talking about how you moved, how we got here today. So you made your video. You go down to Florida. Yeah. So basically I had one. one video that did like okay about Carrie Underwood and I was like I need to move to Hollywood. I had the same response to my video so I made it standing with you there yeah and I moved to a little
Starting point is 00:28:21 little guest house in Venice it was just like in the back of someone else's house I fully thought I was a celebrity right I was like delusional but you had a good following by the time you were in that Venice guest house I yeah I got so you were I mean it was definitely not where my head was that. I sort of was living this entourage fantasy by myself and my own head just walking around Venice shirtless. And then at what point during that process
Starting point is 00:28:48 did you get signed at TAA? That was before I got there. Was that before you made Carrie Underwood just based off of your acting alone? I got signed by my manager Mark right after Carrie Underwood. Because I saw that and was like that's what I want. Basically. Wow.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Incredible. Maybe he just likes before he cheats. It's a really, I mean it's a really good song. It's loaded. I said it before I'll say. Again, great song. Yeah, we'll stand by that take. Is she still doing, like, the national anthem and Sunday night football and all the stuff? She should be doing it. I think they took her off, I'm pretty sure.
Starting point is 00:29:19 I mean, that's crazy. I mean, I heard that somewhere, unless I dreamed it. She should be everywhere. I have a lot of dreams. She should be doing, like, you know, she should have done the halftime show. Maybe we could get her on the pod. Yeah, you might be able to. Maybe she's not as busy as she once was.
Starting point is 00:29:29 She could walk us through the song. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, maybe she's saving trouble for the next girl. I was, you took the words out of my mouth. Yeah. and we could have her on the episode with Joe, Rogan and Howard Stern. If you guys have carry-on and I'm not there for the conversation, I'm going to burn it in the building.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll CCU. Okay, before we get to, so now you're in the vent house. Now you're in the Venice. Put a pin in it. Put a pin. Hey, guys, we want to take a quick break from the episode. We don't have a sponsor today, actually.
Starting point is 00:29:58 So this episode's sponsored by Brooke and Connor make a podcast. And that would be us. That would be me and you, Brooklyn Connor. First off, we just want to say a big thank you to all of our. listeners that tune in every week. We truly, truly love you. And it means the world to us every time you tune in. It helps a show a ton when you leave a review. First of all, a five-star rating really, really helps. And now is the perfect time to do that. You could do that right now. You could. You really could. And if you're on YouTube, you can hit that like button, subscribe.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Maybe even leave a comment, a nice one. Please. And if you're on audio only, you can help us by opening up your podcast app and giving the show a rating. And that would be a five-star one. And Brooke mentioned comments. Nice comments are really helpful. No constructive criticism and no feedback unless it's just good. Unless it's positive. That would be really helpful. Explicitly positive.
Starting point is 00:30:46 Thank you. Anyway, we would really appreciate it. Love you guys. Sally Dog. You, little missy. Okay. Where are you come from? Little Missy?
Starting point is 00:30:54 Yeah. I come from. Tennessee. Mm-hmm. From Tennessee. I was in grad school out in L.A., posting on TikTok a little bit. Pandemic hit, moved home to Tennessee. I was doing school online.
Starting point is 00:31:06 blew up on TikTok during like March through the summer. Is there one video that did it for you? I don't know. I feel like I was like very gradual. It wasn't like really like one video that took off. It was more so like just a series of videos, my bathtub videos. So good. It was just like I just filmed all these videos my bathtub.
Starting point is 00:31:26 And then I eventually moved back to LA, August 2020. I was still doing school online, but just out of West Hollywood in my apartment. And met you guys over. that summer when pick it back up with Venice should we unpin yeah unpin um yeah I my first day in Venice I didn't have air conditioning it was like 900 degrees it was horrible sweating through my clothes and I posted on my friends only on TikTok saying is anyone in L.A because I knew zero people right and you texted me and you're like yeah I'm one block from you right and you guys were all there We had Brooke and our friend Kat Wellington washer pillowcases on TikTok had flown into Newport.
Starting point is 00:32:09 I was living in Newport Beach at the time. They were staying with me. We did an L.A. day because you guys wanted to see L.A. Yeah. I had never been. And I was like, let's rally ends. Rally, Rall. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:23 Row. Did you all come straight to my house? It's hard to say. Because Brooke had to use the bathroom. Right, right, right. We reached out to you and said, do you want to get lunch? She came up to you, went right to your house. Met you for the first time.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Beautiful experience. It was. I used your restroom. Thank you for that. Yeah, of course. And then we met up with Jack. And then we all went out to lunch. The four of us, Megan, Sally Darry's roommate,
Starting point is 00:32:53 and Kat Wellington, who was with us. And I think we just really... I believe average fashion blogger came at some point. She did. Yes, Courtney was there. She joined. And that same day I was verified on TikTok. Yeah, so that was a big day.
Starting point is 00:33:06 And I think we all kind of felt like, wow, like, we get along pretty well. There was tension in the air. I was about a good way. Oh, in a bad way? I couldn't put my finger on it. Good tension or bad tension? Like, I couldn't figure out, was it sexual? Oh.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Or were we about to all be roommates? It was an adult content house. Right, yeah, yeah. Well, there's bound to be sexual tension in a content house. And we'll get to that, I'm sure, at some point. Right. Yeah, so that trip happened. Everybody kind of went home,
Starting point is 00:33:36 and I don't remember what month that was. I think that was August. Yes, that was August. Everyone went home. Everyone went home. I personally went home and thought I needed to move to L.A. immediately because I was at that point about to move into my grandparents' house because, like, Jack, I had quit my job immediately after one viral video.
Starting point is 00:33:54 But the thing about me is I don't do things alone. I need, like, one other person, and then I'm ready. So I was kind of putting out feelers to see. who would maybe want to live with me or move to LA with me. You were already there, you were already there. You were in Orange County. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:11 So I think I texted you. We had been talking about, Brooke and I had been talking, and then I was like, it just only makes sense that we do. So we kind of put the feelers out with you guys, Jack and Sally Doar, and we were like, could we maybe do this?
Starting point is 00:34:24 And it was like the easiest thing I've ever experienced in my life? I was like trying to think about like what was like the first message. Like I don't even know. It felt like, I was trying to get myself out to L.A. really badly, and I would never just go and move by myself. So I was begging anyone, you guys. I was like, please. And I thought I was going to have to do some serious begging, but everyone was like, yeah, sure, why not?
Starting point is 00:34:46 Yeah. It was like, can we just live together and make content? And it was just like a really easy, obvious, yes. It was also a time when every single person in L.A. was living in a content house. Yes, but I think we were unique in the fact that no one wanted, no one had asked us to make a content house. No brands. had reached out and offered to finance us in any way. And in fact, we were advised not to do this. Right. If I remember everybody. I think, yeah, your team was like, don't do this. Right.
Starting point is 00:35:12 You were like, well. Right. And we were like, so we're going to do it. Right. And we're going to be, you know, like we started, we started, I remember this like it was yesterday. I'm sitting at the beach house. I'm like, we're like having Zoom calls scheduled Zoom calls with like, we're taking like
Starting point is 00:35:28 meeting notes. And I'm like, I'm like kind of doing deep dive. on David Dobrick and ARAX and all of these YouTube creators like here's their schedule like we can do this every day we can get all of our things together and we can blow up because we're looking at all these content houses and it was granted it was 18 19 year olds
Starting point is 00:35:46 that are going in these content houses and I was like if they can do it we can do it certainly I do feel like we were the only people that weren't like 16 year old boys dancing shirtless not that I didn't do that well there was one other comedy house the house that nobody asked for that Caroline our friend Caroline They were in there still and they were
Starting point is 00:36:02 They were in Vegas. They were younger. So we still were kind of unique and different. Yeah. And the fact that like we probably should have found real jobs. Right. Right. We're all in a weird place in our lives.
Starting point is 00:36:15 And we were like, let's just do it. And I just, I had asked my agent specifically, should I move out to L.A.? And their response was, you don't have to. And that was what had me texting Jack Connor and Seller. Hey, guys, I'm moving out to L.A. Right. I'm hoping you'll live with me. The Zoom call era was a hilarious time.
Starting point is 00:36:37 I've never laughed harder. We treated our little group like it was Morgan Stanton. We were sitting there. I had my blue light glasses on. I was acting like they were reading glasses. They're not prescription. I still do that. But I'm taking notes and I'm like, okay, so we need to be, let's see, schedule for the day.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Were we on Slack? That's like how it fell. No, I mean, no, we were keeping a shared Google Doc. I can't even imagine. We had a Slack channel. You and me. We Slack. We slack.
Starting point is 00:37:01 We still do. You guys think me and Connor weren't slacking on the side. You've got another thing coming. Are you being serious? No one was slacking better than I was. You guys were slacking on the side? I was slacking brood during August. Did you know about this?
Starting point is 00:37:13 I watched one time. Yeah. Okay. One time. Yeah. I'll send you the clip. You were part of this. It's pretty incredible.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Because I thought it was just us slacking. No, babe. We can talk about this. Jack, we slacked that one time. Yeah, and never again. After. We had a lot of drink. He's kidding.
Starting point is 00:37:30 He's kidding. We had a lot of drink. Yeah. So we. Right. And you guys weren't supposed to know. No, I know you would never slack him. No, she doesn't mean that.
Starting point is 00:37:38 Okay, moving on. That's a bad taste. You're behind the times. So basically, we're having these Zoom calls. We're discussing. We're trying to figure out a name. We wanted to call ourselves, the slaughterhouse. Oh, my God, the name.
Starting point is 00:37:51 I still have the list of the names. The name thing. Oh, Sally Darry, can you pull that up if you have it? Yeah, yeah. I think Brooke suggested when someone said, Boner Garage. I wanted garage. unironically a name that we thought about.
Starting point is 00:38:04 And Bonagrodge actually made more since later than common room. For an adult content house, it's a great name. Animal house. The one that made us laugh so hard was giddy house. It was just like... I mean, a lot of them were like violent. It was like cellar, Dunstan basement, Page.
Starting point is 00:38:23 The cellar. No, not the cellar. No, not the cellar. Weird and dirty and gross. It was like very silence of the lambs. Yes. I wanted a one worder, Sell. Seller. Garage.
Starting point is 00:38:36 Slaughterhouse was a real one. Cage. Cage. Wait, do you have the list? Well, and I will. I have to download Google Docs from the loud. Surely you understand. It's in our texts, too.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Well, that too. I was like in my basement, like face down on my couch, just like spamming stuff, like laughing my ass off off. We were laughing so hard. In the meantime, so we're doing all this stuff. We're looking at stuff. We, who originally was looking at Airbnb's? Because I remember I went on a trip with my family during the time when we were kind of locking in in Airbnb.
Starting point is 00:39:07 We finally locked it in. We were like, okay, we're going to do this. Like, here's the Airbnb options. Yeah, I found, like, a mansion in the hills, and I was like, we should do that. Yeah. Right. Yeah, you really wanted a pool.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Yeah. A lot of, like, spending a lot of money. Yes. And your big thing was, like, we're going to spend a lot of money because we're going to make tons. Well, it was your whole thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:27 It was more of, like, a, but this whole thing that people don't know about is like none of these people are making money. They're getting their rent paid to be there in post and do all these things and they're being asked to do a certain amount of posts or deliver. Well, they were. I don't know if any of these houses are even still around.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Oh, and we have the note page pulled up from. Well, I just would like to say, so this note is called Gitty House Notes, modified December 15th, 2020 is the last minute modified. There are some things that I could read here that are just a little depressing. Top line. treat it like a job.
Starting point is 00:40:03 Oh, geez. Then we go goals. You ready to hear the goals? No. Nervous and ready. For four unemployed people, we did treat it like a job. We did. Until we got there.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Until day one. And then we were like, you know what? It can't hurt to let loose for a second. Surely we can have maybe a few guys. We'd like to talk about it. They'd be like, that's enough work for a week. Yeah, yeah. Goals, one TikTok every day on each person's account.
Starting point is 00:40:29 It didn't happen. Um, we were each going to post a YouTube video a week. Never posted one. Oh my God. You did. Right. And they were really good. You posted one.
Starting point is 00:40:38 You had the hall. Oh, God. I liked it. Coffee and brainstorm every morning. We actually did do that. Well, after your four hour workout. Right. We did that.
Starting point is 00:40:50 Yeah. And improv in 2021. We did that. Hey. Yeah. Well, you did that. Yeah. I'm getting.
Starting point is 00:40:55 Saladar, you've done most of this. Kiss your brain, babe. Thanks. Aw, this is insane. Jack, you can kiss your brain too if you feel like it. Yeah, you got a TV show out of it. Okay, you're ready to hear some names? This is bad.
Starting point is 00:41:11 I can't wait. Okay, top one. Nut free zone. Wait, what? That's not bad. Hey. Hey, wait a minute. It certainly was not a nut free zone.
Starting point is 00:41:28 No. It was a nut zone. I got. Yeah. All right. What was the context behind nut freeze-on? I think we were thinking like school, like lunch tables, like classrooms. And we were like, well, there's the table where like kids don't have nuts.
Starting point is 00:41:44 Right. Right. And we were like nut freeze-out. Totally. I still like that. I mean, I think I just thought. Who came up with that? Probably Jack. I don't think I was.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Do you want to hear the second idea following that? Yeah. Just nut table. And our brains went there before we even heard that. Right? No. I'm not. Maybe mine did?
Starting point is 00:42:03 I'm really just... I don't know. Imagine we move a new house. Welcome to the Nuttable. Imagine pitching a brands. NutTable. Tampax. Tampax.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Tampax X. Nuttap. Signing our email, sincerely, NutTable, L.A. Welcome to the Trojan Nuttable. Ooh. Oh, God. Adult content house. Adam and Eve would have loved us.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Nut table. Protected by Trojan. Mm-hmm. Followed by some less, less good ones. Common Room, what we landed on. Yeah, sure. Some less good ones. The one we decided to go with.
Starting point is 00:42:39 It wasn't perfect. It just got the job done. Study hall. I've been there. I've heard that before. Wrecking crew? These are all like porn names. What is a wrecking crew?
Starting point is 00:42:59 Use some videos. crew in a sentence. Yeah, Jack. I mean, I'd have to show you some visuals. Right. Of recq. Yeah. And Brooke is a visual learning.
Starting point is 00:43:09 We'll offline about wrecking crew. We can offline about wrecking crew. Yeah, you can slack us. Oh, that is good. And Home Room is the final one. I like that one. I hate that. Yeah, I think we were in either between Home Room and Common Room.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Yeah. I didn't, I never like, I didn't like common room until we became. We're missing all the, like, murder names. Yeah, slaughtered us. Yeah. Well, those might be in our text when we were just, like, ranting. that was like in the notes. Right.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Okay. Saladar, that's good. Right. Glad you have. Yeah. So anyways, time, a little bit of time passes.
Starting point is 00:43:39 We decide on common room. I remember I was out of town and when I came back, I was being like booted from my living situation that I was in. Brooks lease had ended. Jack was month to month
Starting point is 00:43:49 so he was ready to go. And Saladar, what a lot of people don't know is that Saladar was already living in L.A. So she was like our feet on the ground that was like scouting out all these places and like here's a bit area. I didn't do too much scouting.
Starting point is 00:43:59 Well, that's okay. And we go up and we all, same day, I moved all my stuff into my car, Jack, gets a U-Haul. I help him load it up and we drive over to our first Airbnb. And I'm flying there. Jack and Connor said they would both pick me up at the airport. I land. No one's there. I had to tell Sally Dar had to come get me.
Starting point is 00:44:20 I figured out very quickly. I meant like you could call an Uber. Right. You know? So when you said, I'll come pick you up, you meant. I meant like they have Uber. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:28 And that's on me. Yeah. That is completely on me. But Saladar came to get me. And I just remember, which is crazy to think. Like, I remember being scared in the car being like, what are we going to talk about? Right. Which is just such a crazy thought.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Because we were basically going to live together. Yeah. Yeah. And now. And now just like one of my closest friends. So if I recall correctly, sun's going down. It's like getting dark. Jack's loading up his U-Haul.
Starting point is 00:44:53 All my possession of that truck. Every belonging I owned was in my car. And I was like, wow, this is like, crazy we're doing it we're doing it big time we pull up to this house i have never been um so scared of like a building this was the slaughterhouse it seemed like i don't what's that what's that animated show with that little boy monster house and the house comes alive and it's evil and it eats so it's monster house to catch a predator monster that's going to be monster that would have been a good name for a house by the way we lived there yeah yeah we would never have bang sponsor though i'm gonna right
Starting point is 00:45:28 I'm going to quickly go through that experience and chime in. Oh, and there it is. That's a picture of it. Identical to that house is Airbnb. If you add just some liquid, just like sitting in a bucket outside. Like congealed sticky liquid. Yeah, and like corn dogs. Someone had clearly just thrown a party.
Starting point is 00:45:48 And there was like one of those classic like party buckets where you put ice and drinks. But it was just the weirdest color. Like I don't think they discovered all the colors. I think that was. That was a new color. We found a new color. And the smell was something of your. Days of yore.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Days of yore, yeah. I'm just going to go to the bathroom real quick. Okay. And then we'll pick it right back up. Great. Okay. And we're back. We're back. Remind me where we were.
Starting point is 00:46:14 So we are where you're getting back to the bathroom or getting back from the bathroom. And we were chatting about we're walking at his house. It's an absolute just mind-boggling experience. It's disgusting. There's moldy food and air. every cabinet, like, it's like an abandoned home that, like, a bunch of teenagers on their summer break are exploring where someone died. There was, like, a soaking mound of wet towels hung up in the air conditioner vent.
Starting point is 00:46:41 That was just like the air was pushing through it and just blasting mold air through the entire building. A lot of objects, I would say. And there was knives everywhere. There was a knife in the fireplace. Everywhere. Wait, there was a knife in the fireplace. Coated.
Starting point is 00:46:55 No silverware. No silverware. So that was interesting. So when we start... Also, it wasn't like a bread night. It was like a night. A night. A stabbing. It was like an ashtray shank.
Starting point is 00:47:05 And what's funny is we've all just met each other essentially for the second time. And we're basically moving in together. And everyone's kind of like... Like no one wanted to be like, this sucks so bad and this is bad and we can't do this. We made that sound. So we were kind of like, oh, we're going to make this work, I guess. Like, I'm scared for my life, like genuinely. I was like, I'm about to sleep.
Starting point is 00:47:29 I sat on the bed and it made the craziest noise. There was this fan in our room. There was a pine cone. That kept creaking in this way. Yeah. I remember the way that it creaked. Yeah. It was a little bit eerie.
Starting point is 00:47:43 I agree. It was horrific. The front door led into a bedroom. Yeah. The bedroom that I think I think were we both sharing a bedroom? The boys room. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:54 Anyway, so we essentially like at the end of just doing this are just like, this can't happen. We can't do this. And let's get a hotel room. And the Airbnb policy is strict. You don't get a refund. His name was Mark. Mark.
Starting point is 00:48:08 And we were just like, well, we had paid, it was like $2,000 to live there for a month. Each. Each. Yeah. And there's no refund policy. And I was just like, I had nowhere else to go really besides Sally Dar's house. And we had emailed and we're like, hey, like, just so you know. and then described, there's a knife in the fireplace.
Starting point is 00:48:29 There's a moldy pita. Pita bread. Pita bread. There's like a bucket of sewage sitting on the front step. My feet are stuck to the floor. There was milk. There's a lot of milk in the fridge. Oh, there's a lot of milk in the fridge.
Starting point is 00:48:41 Remember how much milk was in the fridge? It was absurd. No normal person drinks milk like that. There were two like identical young girls standing in the hallway staring at us with music playing. Oh, I forgot about that. I didn't want to bring them up. A lot of people forget about that.
Starting point is 00:48:53 I didn't want to bring them up. And then we were panicking about what Mark would say because Airbnb can be tough and then he just responded oh geez sorry full refund no Mark says that all the time oh okay oh okay and then of course of course
Starting point is 00:49:08 and then refunded us and then we all we had we had I mean we had a bit of a like depressive period where Brooke was going to fly back to Philly give up on her dreams of being a contractor yeah Jack and I were sharing a bed at Sally Dar's house which she was so great
Starting point is 00:49:24 graceful great not great We're grateful. You were grateful. You were also grateful. Generous of us. So Jack and I were sharing a bed at Sally Dar's. Mm-hmm. And Jack slept in his jeans every night for some reason.
Starting point is 00:49:36 Well, I've, Jack, yeah. Now, let's, let's dive into you wearing jeans to bed. Mm-hmm. You know, I feel like I have no choice but to stand by this. Can I just bring up two points? Do it. Please. One, I know a lot of people are very uncomfortable with the idea of outside clothes, even on top of your bed.
Starting point is 00:49:52 Me. And, but he chose to put the outside clothes in, in, and, in, Right. Inside of your bed. Inside of your bed. And my bed. And I don't know if it was like to spite me or if it was because you were just like afraid to sleep next to Connor. Let me just ask Connor what were you wearing to bed?
Starting point is 00:50:09 I was almost naked. Right. So maybe that was a maybe that was. Maybe that was. I wasn't going to. What did your jeans symbolize? Yeah. I had two options.
Starting point is 00:50:24 Yeah. To walk us through them, Jack. One is to just like raw dog expanse. my denim to your bed sheets. Yeah. Which is what I did. Deon, D-on BS. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:35 The other option was to just get naked with this man I just met. So were you not wearing boxers? You know? I mean, do you want me to get into that? Because what's wrong with just like boxer on boxing?
Starting point is 00:50:48 I mean, maybe I was, maybe I wasn't. There is a lot of money. It was a crazy week. All my possessions were in a U-Haul. And you did leave the U-Haul at the previous house because you had nowhere to park in. Everything I owned was street parked in West Hollywood. Are you saying unlocked?
Starting point is 00:51:00 There's no shame in now wearing underwear and jeans. Again, I'm not right now. I'm not sure if I was. It may have been a free ball next to your situation, which now that I know you, it would have been fine. Not an issue. I think we actually ended up doing that within a month. Probably, yeah, several times.
Starting point is 00:51:14 So anyways, we're at your house for a couple days. We find this awesome house. We were fighting, like, God's bravest warriors to get this. We just wanted a place with silverware. Yeah. That was our only qualification at this point. We ended up getting. It's silverware that wasn't like covered in a mysterious, maybe blood.
Starting point is 00:51:33 It was goo in a fireplace. Goo. We ended up, I'm just going to get through the four days of depressive episodes. Someone saw Brooke and I at one day sitting. We didn't have anything to do during the day. We didn't want to bug Salad ours, roommates, sitting there all day. So Brooke and I would go on these, like, walks. Wouldn't even say a word of each other.
Starting point is 00:51:53 She's looking directly at the ground. I'm just kind of like, well, at least we're in L.A. Because we just were waiting for people to respond. So it's like you put out all the feelers for the Airbnb's and you just, what do you do? And we had that one shark who like completely fucked us. Do you remember that? Oh, yeah. You know when people are like the worst day, the best day of work is not as good as the worst day of fishing?
Starting point is 00:52:17 No, I've never heard that. Well, people say that. So in my head, I'm like, at least we're fucking fishing. Uh-huh. And I was not feeling that way. I truly, like, I was so. depressed and anxious. Okay. I couldn't even stay away. I need to I need to circle back to my analogy because I don't think I said it right. People say it's on a shirt, I'm sure somewhere.
Starting point is 00:52:36 The worst day of, sorry, hang on. Forget that. The best day of work is worse, worse than the, can I look up the, can we look up the phrase? So I get this work is the worst day of fishing. Better than the worst day of fishing. Here we are fishing. Best day at work is worse than the worst day of fishing. And so in my head, I'm like, the worst day and out. LA is better than the best day elsewhere. So I was thinking of my head, like, at least we're fucking fishing. Yeah. You know, like, we're here.
Starting point is 00:53:07 Meanwhile, a fan of Brooke and I's pulls up in their car while Brooke and I are sitting at a bus stop just looking at the ground. Can I say something vulnerable for? A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work, author unknown, and praise be to author unknown. That's like a real, wow. That's like an earnest ending way or something. Quote, quote, garden.
Starting point is 00:53:27 Thanks quotegarden.com to cite. You know the song The One by Taylor Swift? Yeah. She has a line in that song that says, I thought I saw you at the bus stop. I didn't, though. Was that about us? Every time I listen to that song,
Starting point is 00:53:38 I think of you guys on the bus stop. No, I'm telling you, Brooke and I are just like this. I was like this. She was like, I have a college degree. Why am I sitting in a bus stop in West Hollywood? Like, nothing to do. It was really bleak times. And all my shit is in my car,
Starting point is 00:53:53 that I moved out of my house. I don't have a place to live. Anyways, we get a response, like, late at night from this insane house, and not, like, insane in the way, like, sway house, insane, but just like this awesome. Beautiful. Beautiful home in West Hollywood. Turf front yard, like, like shrubbery blocking, like tall, 50-foot shrubbery. The shrubbery is great.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Amazing hat. Like, everything in the house is Westallum. We go in, we celebrate. We're having a great time. And then that's where things really picked up. And that next day, I think the first day there, we had a photo shoot where we had we're like, all right, time to start. We had a social media plan
Starting point is 00:54:29 where we had like, we're going to post one photo on each of our accounts to announce it tomorrow and then one photo on the main account. We're going to get a TikTok out to announce it. And we had our first TikTok that we made. We wrote and we made and we wrote it. We were really, really on it and productive for the first five or so days of living with each other.
Starting point is 00:54:47 We made like our intro TikTok. We did a few skits. We would wake up every morning, like sit together, come up with ideas. and then I don't know if you want to watch the first video made and unpack it. Do you mind if we pull up the first video? No, please, and we can unpack that. So basically the premise behind the first video was like,
Starting point is 00:55:05 let's announce each of us as characters in this content house and like not allude to what we're doing at all because at that point we didn't really know what our content style is going to be. Right, and I think it was also kind of spoofing other content house. Right. So like we had, it was a moment where there was a lot to be spoofed. We have like the wish house like outdoor gym situation. I walk into the gate here.
Starting point is 00:55:24 and what was the Yes Yes indeed What is the song that was playing? You'll remember it Oh yeah The Airbnb's on my dad's card I want to be the one doing
Starting point is 00:55:35 So Jack is like coming up And yeah Look at that house Resident douchebag So Jack Jack takes his shirt on I don't know Brokey's kind of like
Starting point is 00:55:45 Got a point Let me show you how it's done We're each walking into the skate Kind of like introing who's in this house Jack is taking the shirt I tacked in the bathtub. That's her signature. This was a bad idea.
Starting point is 00:56:00 Yeah, I don't know what we're doing. Connor's been drinking since noon yet. I was going through a phase of drinking every day at that point. And you're wearing the same outfit is. And then I'm trying to get sponsored by truly. We're watching and we all agree it's really good. I love the ending. I haven't seen that in a long time.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Yeah. Not great. Yeah. Yeah. Not great. So. So. Oh, geez.
Starting point is 00:56:27 So I wish I could see, like, but basically we started, we started this account. It had zero followers. We post that like overnight that had a million views and it was like this thing. And then we realized like we had no follow up. Okay, now what? I remember being like, I mean, that's like the most we did in the entire house. And I think what's really cool about our content houses, it was the first one where we already had our own followings, which is why that was able to kind of blow up so quickly because I think other content houses, it was. mostly just like random people and they came together to think to get a following work.
Starting point is 00:57:01 We already had that, which was nice. So, okay, I'm just going to, I'm just going to fast forward a little bit through that house. It was, it was amazing. We're pretty productive. And then we kind of start to be like, you know what, let's, we're here, we're living here, we're being so productive. Let's take a couple days off. And then we just kind of.
Starting point is 00:57:16 And then we lost the plot. We did, we did lose the plot. We lost the plot. We found a friendship. We found friendship. Lost the plot. Maybe it's less about, it was very, like, rom-com, enemy. to lovers, like all of a sudden we were just like
Starting point is 00:57:29 vibing and looking at each other and hanging out. Right. And then I think there are three, we were all kind of desperate for a routine at that point. And I think we all went in different directions. Jack found health and fitness. Do you want to talk about how, I would say about two weeks into common room, you did a complete lifestyle change.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Yeah. So, I mean, found health and fitness. I had an idea of it that I think, was incorrect. Basically, my plan was I would get up at four. Then we can pull up Jack's schedule. Yeah, it's on the whiteboard. Yes, okay. I will say we also decided we were not able to work and be productive without a whiteboard. Yeah, no, the whiteboard. So we were like, oh, of course we're not thinking of anything. We don't have a whiteboard. We took a week off of making content to
Starting point is 00:58:16 locate and source a whiteboard, which we got, and I'm going to walk through Jack's schedule that he wrote onto the whiteboard. Well, and for that whole week, we were like the reason we're not making content is because we don't have the whiteboard yet. Right, right. And then we got the whiteboard. And then Jack immediately wrote his schedule. Jack wrote his schedule on here. It's a 5.30 a.m. workout.
Starting point is 00:58:37 5.30 a. Wake up. 30 minutes to wake up, then work out at six. And then seven is blocked out for smoothie. A half hour for smoothie. A half hour for smoothie. I would make a smoothie that filled the entire blender. I would just make too much of it every time.
Starting point is 00:58:52 And it would always overflow and just kind of pour green liquid all over the counter. And onto Brooks bed. Right. Jack did like to come in and wake me up as if I wasn't already up from the blender at seven. But he would also like to come in and wake me up with a little personal greeting. And one day, I had two twin beds in my room and he sat down on the other twin bed while I was sleeping. Immediately spilled a smoothie just all over every inch. I think what I did is I walked in and I like sat down whatever container I was using, maybe the whole blender on the white sheets of the bed.
Starting point is 00:59:24 And then I sat on it. Right, right. which just cakeed the entire bed in green liquid. That was awesome. It's disgusting. Jack would go on Idea walks at 7.30 a.m. 8. breakfast and group videos, which we were pretty good at. 9.30 a.m. individual videos, which we sucked at.
Starting point is 00:59:39 11 a.m. or, okay, 12 lunch. 1 o'clock to 6 p.m. is my favorite block. Yeah, that's my inspo window. He has a five-hour block on his schedule called. There's a bracket there just to remind you that inspo lasts the full five hours. Yes. I understand that five hours. hour block and a lot of it for me
Starting point is 00:59:58 staring at a wall. Yeah. Well it was critical you need a five hour inspo staring at a wall pacing around the house. I would net. I would net. I would rest. I don't know what the hell like that. I don't know where you were. I have no idea what I think you were just like barefoot around West Hollywood. I would walk around barefoot. Yeah. Be being barefoot genuinely
Starting point is 01:00:16 grounds me. Yeah. I actually like I truly believe that. I do too. I honestly don't even know what I meant by inspo. I couldn't tell you what I did one day of it. You know what you did? Airwahn. Yeah. Well, that was my idea walk. Oh, sorry. I tend to confuse the two.
Starting point is 01:00:31 They're very similar. There's a difference between idea. If you go to the Airwan at the Grove. Yeah, I would walk there. That's pretty far. I know. Okay, so anyways, you had this period of time after we went to one workout class where like my friend Chloe, our friend Chloe, had changed your life for the better.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Right. You're waking up every day. That is what it was. Oh, my God. Yeah, we just had this conversation. And she was like, yeah, all I do is get up at four in the morning in Molley. And I like swim with sharks and I like eat spirulina and like Reishi mushrooms. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here with this other girl like and I can hear Jack's wheels kind of turning.
Starting point is 01:01:05 I'm like, do not. My eyes were like so expanded. And I was like, yeah. I was like, Chloe, shut up. I may have converted religions. Yeah. She didn't think she's in. Yeah, it was.
Starting point is 01:01:16 So immediate. You bought a lot of creatine and protein powder out. And cod. And cod. We'll get to the cod later. The cod comes later. It wasn't even just like, it was like, it was like, it was like, It was like weird supplements.
Starting point is 01:01:27 Yeah, right. It was like extracts from like, like, the skin of animals. It was like crazy stuff. But she had recommended all of them. Magic spoon. Yeah, can we talk? Was big. A lot of magic spoon.
Starting point is 01:01:37 My favorite part of your routine was, um, eating a bowl of magic spoon cereal. Um, not finishing it, of course. But then you were, you're really good about conserving. Right. A lot of things. So you would put the, um, I love the environment. Yeah, no. And I know you do.
Starting point is 01:01:50 You put the, um, cereal milk back in the fridge. Yeah. In case you wanted that. Or maybe if we wanted. Yeah, and we did a few times. I was generous. You want to let it marinate. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:02 There's nothing better than just like a soggy, cheery-y. The only thing I can liken three-day-old magic spoon in milk sitting in a fridge to is that bucket of goop outside the original house. You know, that may have been what it was. It looked like. We do have a video of a visual of the magic spoon and other things. Oh, yeah. That Jack had, or we all had in the bowl of dairy. House if you want to pull up the
Starting point is 01:02:26 I think it's things in our on our content house that just makes sense video which is basically just things that Jack left around is the whole video things in our Airbnb that just makes sense Jack's zero carb cereal with whole milk that's been resincereating in the bridge
Starting point is 01:02:43 for two days. This pound of wasabi beer Yeah that's good Oh I miss the wasabi beef With no note or explanation Jack zero carb cereal floating in our communal lavender Yeah I don't know why there was This brick we picked up in the
Starting point is 01:02:54 middle of the street decided we just had to have this body and intimate hair removal cream that we also got a lot of hair removal cream. This four by six whiteboard is leave outside for our... Oh, I drew Brooke on that whiteboard. That's a self-port of me. And Jack's schedule, which blocks out a half an hour for smoothie time from 7 to 7.30 a.m.
Starting point is 01:03:13 The fact that all of our packages are thrown over a giant-gated hedge. Oh, surprise. It's more of Jack Zero, Carp, Zero. Thanks in our Airbnb this. So basically, it was just all. about Jack's cereal and his body hair removal cream. Yeah, why did I have that?
Starting point is 01:03:29 I think your manager sent you. No, you're, Mark sent you body hair removal cream. Was it for a role? I think, I think. He needs to be smooth for his young lovers for roles that he plays. Oh, okay. What he said. Anyway, when Jack was clinging to fitness, we kind of went a different direction.
Starting point is 01:03:52 Me and Sally Dahr and a little bit, Connor. Connor, I think it was you that made the suggestion that we start smoking weed to get creative. I had, right? I was having a bit of like a creative block that's lasted until current day. And I had heard online that like weed helps people think or like something. Like it helps your neurons
Starting point is 01:04:15 meet other neurons that they've never met before. So I'm like, let's do this. Like what are we waiting for? Seth Rogen does it. Right. Who am I to say no to this So, and Brooke is like, I don't like weed. Like, I've never smoked weed. I don't do well with weed. And I'm like, I have an open mind about it. Salad, are you too, right? I never liked in college, but it was also like you're out of party and you don't know what strand. Like, I didn't know what I was smoking.
Starting point is 01:04:35 I never liked it. And I'm like getting these girls, I'm like, let's just go. Like, we're in L.A. you can buy weed legally. Like, there's no taboo about it. And they're like, okay, fine. Like, whatever. We go get this weed. I have a panic attack immediately.
Starting point is 01:04:50 You guys are simply viving. If I remember... It was a very crazy feeling to enjoy weed for the first time. Was on the goddamn moon in the best way possible. I had a panic attack during Marley and me.
Starting point is 01:05:04 That's hard. Yeah. It was just like not a good... That's a weird choice of a high movie though. And then I was like, this is so fun. Should we pause this and continue? It seems like we're going so long and having so much fun
Starting point is 01:05:19 that we might need to do a second episode. I think that makes sense. We have a ton more to cover with Jack and Sally Dar. We want to go over our hot takes. We'll watch some more TikToks that we made. We'll tell more stories. We have so many more stories. We've gone over an hour.
