Starting point is 00:01:01 Cat make a podcast today. We've got Cat W. Thank Kevin to Betsy. She could be with us today as Connor does not have Wi-Fi in the entire state of Michigan. And Connor is disconnected. He is completely unplugged, disconnected. And we will miss him. But, Kat, I'm...
Starting point is 00:01:16 God, do I miss Khan? How lucky are we to have you? But it is good to be in this leather seat with you, Brooke. It is always good to be in the leather's with you. I do always miss... We had one with Connor, but, you know, I don't usually get Connor on the pod. No, you don't. Connor, you know, you blink and you miss him.
Starting point is 00:01:50 So I haven't seen him in a while, but I really miss it. You're usually stuck with my extremely robust stats. I love that. I love that. I'm not letting Brooke move. When Brooke mentions the word move, I like, I really get very sick. Where did that come from? Connor moves. Oh, oh, oh, oh.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Connor actually headed out. I'm not like moving anytime soon. No, you can. It's just when I'm lamenting about like the selection of like men in Los Angeles. But it could be. wants to like go to like Pennsylvania and she thinks that's where it's going to happen. Well, it's also like it's hard to say if I'm being dramatic. I think there's two truths that are existing at the same time.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Yeah. One, I am like being dramatic because I'm also like not trying hard. Right. And two, I do think L.A. does have the horrible stuff. I agree. Like the worst election of any state. No, I think you are being dramatic, but you are, there's also truth to it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Yeah. Two truths. Like L.A. is tough. But I do. I do need to see a little bit more. I'm not moving anytime soon. And also, I'm taking a break from dating.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Like when I'm reading a really good romance novel like I am right now, book lovers, I'm totally fine being single for the rest of my life. Because as long as I have, yeah, as long as I have like just that input. See, I feel like when I'm reading a romance novel,
Starting point is 00:03:07 I like accidentally make it about myself where I'm like, I wish I had more of this. I experience that sometimes, but usually it's like, this doesn't, I don't know if I could ever have this because it's too good to be true. So I'm good just like experiencing it. It's a story. Through fiction.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Right. In this capacity. Well, you know, I haven't been able to read. We went to the bookstore, obviously. And I haven't, I picked up about three to four books. I haven't been a hall. You had a really good hall. Really good hall.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Haven't cracked one open yet. It was about two months ago. I don't remember what they're called. I'm sure you do. I can tell you. The Taylor Jane. kids read one I think it's called atmosphere that's the only one I remember the one that I'm thinking about starting to think about starting to think about starting I have packed it now for
Starting point is 00:03:56 about three different trips in my backpack haven't opened it um Eleanor will be so fine or Eleanor you will be so completely fine what is it called? Eleanor Oliphant wait now I'm getting confused. Eleanor Olafam is completely fine. It was well now you're, she's completely okay. She's completely fucking fine. It's Eleanor Oliphant. It will be okay.
Starting point is 00:04:19 She will be completely fine. Yeah. Wow. That sounds like not real. No, it sounds like I thought it was wrong. Okay. Eleanor will be so fucking fine. This is when I was like trying to name my book and I was like I want something like
Starting point is 00:04:34 Eleanor. Yeah. I can tell by the cover that I will like it. You will. Yeah. It's great. It's a great book. It hasn't happened yet.
Starting point is 00:04:44 So I have to give it time. time. And then you know the other one you got? I don't. Remarkably bright creatures. Oh, yes. I'm excited for that. That one I just freaking. You all mind if I talk about books I haven't read? That's fine. But I read a couple before that, but they weren't even like something I need to discuss, you know? Yeah. But you have been, you're a good reader despite you saying that you don't read. Like you read more than the average person. Well, I think like because when I do, it'll be like a week of like, oh, I read three books. books and then it'll be like a year of I haven't touched yeah yeah yeah but I have high hopes for this hall yeah I do too but I kind of thought it'd be like a summer thing and you know
Starting point is 00:05:25 summer's kind of coming to an end it is still summer it is still summer yeah a huge way yeah and I guess our summers are a little bit longer here which is good because I really feel like I can't stress enough when football starts like I was at home with my family and this weekend watch it and football was on it did it start I mean something the Eagles were playing I don't know you were kidding me Preseason, I think. Preseason started already, Kat? Is he just confirmed? Preseason started.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Preseason started. And, like, for everyone else, I know. The Eagles were playing. The Eagles were on the screen playing. Oh, my God, Kat. Can you guys fully broken into preseason game? I have completely floored by that. Like, when football starts for me, I know everyone gets, like, so excited to you hear the song.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Oh, oh, my God, it's fall. I feel this, like, huge pit in my stomach, because I just feel like it's getting colder. Yeah. And people are getting angrier. And I just don't like the. energy in the energy in the bars changes. Like, it's just a lot heavier. So I was getting really sad and I forgot we lived in L.A.
Starting point is 00:06:22 So we have a lot longer of warm weather. We genuinely, like summer ends October 1st in L.A. Yeah, that's great for me. I do believe that. I'm trying not to burp. I don't give a fuck. I do believe that, so. Oh, so you said, watch the Eagles and shit like that?
Starting point is 00:06:41 Like, I couldn't be more thrilled. Yeah. About it all. Did you do your fantasy draft and get everything squared away? Exactly. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So that would be amazing.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Bet's a place. Money's already being won. Money is coming in. There was this one time when I was a very young little girl. Okay. And my dad was having, I don't remember the specifics cat, but there was some sort of like. Probably the Super Bowl chart. Super Bowl chart.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Yeah. Among like the Super Bowl party that I was at. And you bet and place money. And I was eight and just like put my name in the random slot. and won among all these men. I won hundreds of dollars when I was little. It was incredible. And ever since then, I've loved football.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Ever since then, I've been addicted to sports betting. Ever since then, I have not stopped betting since the Super Bowl of 2003. Yeah. I actually feel like that's a core memory. Like my family used to have a Super Bowl party every year in our basement, of course, Maryland Corps. And like, I remember winning a little bit of money on that too as a very, very, very small child.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Not as small as you because you are very petite, but a little bit small. Not always. It wasn't always. And I feel like I won some money too. And it is nice to like you feel like you really, really did something at that time. And at that age to have $20 in the pocket. Oh my God. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:04 What can't you do? Right. Speaking of $20 at one point, my mom, because I never read, like, and we're talking about reading, my mom offered me like, I can't remember exactly what it. was but it was like $10 per 100 pages or something that I read of books. I ran through the entire click series, the entire Pretty Little Liar series. And I was actually reading them all. I read so many fucking books. I made thousands of dollars. I went to the mall and I spent it all at Bath and Body Works. Wow. And like garage. And it was amazing. I bet that's exactly what your mom was wanting was
Starting point is 00:08:42 the click. Pretty little lie. Yeah. I think there was a point. That's the loophole. It was like the click is so easy to read and they're like pretty short and there's a million of them. I love them. But yeah, I did get to a point where she'd be like, okay, this isn't really what I meant. But like you are doing it. So I have to honor the honor code here. That was the best memory of like getting a series like the click. And like I would only get one at a time because it's like I love going back to bookstore so much.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Oh, that's fun. Yeah. But now I feel like people just buy a series in bulk. but I want to go back to just like buying one at a time so I can go to the bookstore and get every single one a new like my were library my mom was big on like library yeah I was and then became really obsessed with being a collector yeah I mean that's way cooler I wish I had collected no libraries are amazing too libraries are great yeah that's where I did my Junie B Jones yeah was the library I had a great time there yeah but I have to tell you something okay because you don't check your phone your socials really i had already blasted this out on there but you're so unplugged that you've been seen it yet yeah i actually saw a glimmer of something but i then i couldn't open it because it was too late so go ahead i am fostering a cat okay i saw i'm fostering a little girl cat what does it look like she's beautiful what does she look like i'm so
Starting point is 00:10:11 sorry. She's a little gray, like very furry girl and she's very, very shy. It's hard for me to say. Wow. I wonder how she's allowed about her at all. I'm so excited for you. And you get her today, right? Because that's all I saw is because the Friends of Normie Post had expired so I couldn't see the young woman. But I saw you said, I'm going to pick her up today. Well, it was posted Friends of Normie is where I got robbed. They're just like the greatest rescue in the Los Angeles area. Love them. But it was posted like 23 hours ago that like this girl, this little girl cat needed a home. And I was like, okay, like I'm sure she's she's been taken by now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:52 But let me just check. And she wasn't. So she's coming home. Do you think you're going to end up keeping her? No. And that's why I responded because I think I'll be able to be good. Oh, we have an image. I don't think that's her.
Starting point is 00:11:05 But that's friends of Normie. I think I would have a problem. with a cat that like came right up and like cuddled into my neck like John and Rob like I don't think I'd be able to let someone like that slip out of my grip yeah like I wouldn't but I think she's like very shy so maybe we won't like have that like mother daughter moment which I don't want because I don't want a third cat yeah I feel very overwhelmed with my cats in a way where like literally yesterday I was like I can never have kids because my two cats are like far too much yeah and cats are very low maintenance. Imagine if I had to like walk a dog. No. I literally, I said this before,
Starting point is 00:11:46 but like my entire view on having children has shifted since I got the voice. Yeah. Like in a massive way. I mean, Cheddar right now I just went away for three days and Cheddar's rebelling by pooping next to his box, his clean box. And it's just like, it's just nonstop, I feel like I'm sprinting around for these gentlemen. They are my, they run my life. No, I do. I don't know if everyone's cats are no there's no way like they're so but all four of our boys it's just like all the time it's like screaming like screaming like my boys are knocking everything over shattering in the middle of the night i'm woken up glass shattering like you told them about you're a rug it's just like i have a rug and like i can't even i that they tear it up like from
Starting point is 00:12:38 from the brand new gorgeous from the ground up basically they're tearing every fiber out of the rug I have gotten them 80,000 scratching things I've put scratching mats down on the rug they're just going to scratch next to the mat onto the rug I would say like Brooks apartment is more
Starting point is 00:12:58 cat scratching post surface area than there is like regular ground and they will just do the six penny chairs those are completely fucked Stradded. Those I'm waiting until they stop scratching and I'm going to hopefully get them recovered. But I don't think I don't, it doesn't seem like they'll ever stop scratching. The Joybird is now completely.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Yeah. It was only a matter of time. The Joybird. The joy bird. The rug and I'll vacuum up. Like it's just constantly like loose strings. Yeah. And I'll vacuum them up.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Turn around. Plug the vacuum in immediately destroyed again. I don't know how there's any rug left. No, I agree. Because it still looks pretty after you. It's great. It's like. I wouldn't say pretty, but like it's not, it's still a rug.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Like, I don't know how it's not just a shred. Right. You know? Yeah, I do know. So, you'll give a shit about, bro. I would say, like, my house, everything and it is pretty destroyed. Like, I can't have anything nice. It doesn't look like that, though.
Starting point is 00:13:54 It does if you look a little bit close. Yeah, but like you're looking close. Like, me and I walk in, I'm not looking at that. And, like, in some people's houses that have cats, like, there's not litter everywhere. Like, I can't walk barefoot. No matter how much. much I've added you. Well, that's just the, I've littered my bed. That's the anatomy of your home, unfortunately. Like you're, it's just, I don't have like a separate space. Yeah, like my laundry room,
Starting point is 00:14:18 I will not go in there without shoes. Like there's shoes set there because there's litter everywhere. Right. And then it also kind of tracks into the kitchen, which is super pretty. Um, but yeah, like, so I do think there's litter everywhere for other people, but yours just happens to be in the dining restaurant, the dining area. I've started having to lint roll the souls of my, feet before I get in a bed. Does that make sense? No, I, yeah, I do a big, like, scrape. A big scrape. It's incredible. I love my boys more than, they're very sweet. Yeah, no, they're amazing. Yeah, I like them. Being a cat mom has been the greatest. Yeah, and you're about to get a daughter. I'm about to get a niece. Okay. Yeah. I'm really scared. I'm going to keep her. I don't think,
Starting point is 00:15:01 I can't. I literally can't. I honestly, like, I'm out of police where I, because my kitten, I mean, I guess he's about to turn like a year is so high maintenance. I cannot have another animal at that sense. No, I know. So I agree. Yeah. I don't think you should keep. What's her name?
Starting point is 00:15:16 Saffron. Saffron. Saffron. Zaffron. Zffron. Ladies, Sfron. So, yeah, I don't know. But I mean, you know, she might fit in great with the gentleman.
Starting point is 00:15:30 I was scared we were going to talk about our cat the whole time. It's fine to do. I know. It's really all we like talk about. because it's our favorite thing to talk about. I've been getting these AI cat podcasting videos. You've seen them? No.
Starting point is 00:15:44 It's like just like these two cats. I haven't had a chance to scroll through our TikTok DMs, but I think there's like 10 in a row of just cats. I keep getting these AI cats podcasting and they're like, and you wouldn't guess where I splayed out in the bed right on top of her legs and then they start laughing. It cracks my ass up It's so stupid Very different than most people I know that that could come across mine easily
Starting point is 00:16:13 And we have a lot of overlap But then there's also some shit you send me That I'm like Wow this is great Because this would have never crossed my personal desk I have and like we can do this in bonus We can check in with everyone Like I have a family
Starting point is 00:16:28 I was really wanting Have you talked about them before? Which who? Which ones? All Some characters but like I have like recurring characters that I get on my free page that I consider parts of my family. Yeah. That like I'll send to people and like I feel like definitely people.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Like she's just introducing me to her family. So she'll send and be like this is so and so just so you have them on your radar. Denise Salaney, real, whatever and stuff like that. That family like I had never seen them. Now sometimes they'll pop up because I watch. And then there's a new gentleman. Or is she a woman? I'm so fucking sorry.
Starting point is 00:17:01 No, you're good. I haven't like tuned into the content. Not right now. Okay. Jury's out on that person right now. Okay. Following that journey. All right.
Starting point is 00:17:12 We can talk about it on the bonus. Okay. Yeah. But I really just, I am really curious about your weekend because you had a really, a really, you had a huge one. Brooke, that's really sweet. I'm curious about your weekend, too. I didn't talk to anyone all weekend. My best friend got engaged, which I'm just like, yay.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Emily. She's been on obsessed if you all. Remember, you know, from the archives. Your co-host. Well, also my co-host. I'm sorry, I'm talking to your community, but my co-host of my pod that has since retired as well. But anyway, yeah, it was great.
Starting point is 00:17:48 It was really amazing. I was home since Thursday and I couldn't like see her or talk to her, which was weird. And then it was very much like party planning. If you need to get flowers, I hit Trader Joe's at 8 a.m. And got like $250 worth of flowers. and we had like flowers everywhere. Wow. Like it just felt like it was amazing.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Wow. It looked amazing. Yeah, it was really pretty. And then she was actually so surprised. You said someone gave it away. So I had texted Brooke like I thought there was a, someone had texted like and said boarding like in a group chat with her that she didn't know was coming home.
Starting point is 00:18:26 So I was like she's too smart to like to not pick up on that. But I guess Kyle her fiance. She wasn't being smart. Well, I think she had, she really wanted to be surprised. So I think, I guess if you know you're getting engaged within the year or whatever, like, she was kind of like not wanting to be disappointed. So she wasn't looking into things as much as she normally would. Oh, good for her. Whereas like, they've been together nine years, like five years ago.
Starting point is 00:18:51 I think she would have been like, he's proposing. Like she just like, she would always. Nine years. Nine years. And like, even in college all the time, she would be like, he's surprised. I know he's surprising me. And I'd be like, Emily, he is not surprised. I'm telling you right now he's not coming so I think she tried to like you know let her guard down a bit
Starting point is 00:19:09 she was really surprised I was sobbing their eyes out oh my god it's really sweet and then I thought they got engaged at the exact same time as Taylor and Travis but then I actually just found out this morning because I was feeling like Travis was down the same time Kyle was down because Emily is a huge Taylor I mean I am as well I'm a huge Taylor so a fan and I just felt like they were really aligned but I found out which you might not know it was actually after the New Heights podcast They walked out and that had been set up. After recording? That had been set up while they were recording at Travis's home piece.
Starting point is 00:19:41 That'll be fun to rewatch and be like was Travis nervous? Like, etc. I know what? Like I'm not doing, I'm not recording a podcast seconds before my, I'm proposing. What's the difference between butter and butter made from real California dairy? It's the real California farm families behind it. Real people. Real care.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Real intention. Why? Because real matters. So whether you're pouring milk, melting cheese, or just grabbing one more spoonful of yogurt. Keep it real. Look for the seal. Real California milk by Real California Farm Families. Girl, winter is so last season. And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders.
Starting point is 00:20:33 That perfect hang on the patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope. It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. No, like, I don't really understand.
Starting point is 00:20:54 But I guess it's a good way to get her surprise and, like, have no idea and have her secluded in a room. Wow. But I, you know, the heart of it. thing I've had to go through as of recent is being in a friend group who is not Swifties, well, shit like this is happening. Well. Because like I am over the moon for them. And I like the second they started dating, I was just like, I mean, everyone's saying this,
Starting point is 00:21:21 but I like felt like this was correct for her. Yeah. Okay. And like it just is. And it looks very similar to the watches and rings that I have. And does it? Yeah. I love that.
Starting point is 00:21:33 You know me. I'm not not a fan. No, you're fine. You're fine. Like, you know when my, we have some negativity. Taylor Swift comes on. Like, I will be, I will sing it. Dude. Brooke, like, Brooke plays it down. We're at our friend's birthday party like two weeks ago. We're doing all too well 10 minute. Brooke's like, yeah, I kind of like Taylor Swift. Like, I'll sing along. Like, I like folklore, whatever. She knows every word to 10 minutes. I know every word to the 10 minute. I know every song on folklore. Yeah. I know. All the old songs. I love. I love most of the songs on reputation. And then some other red.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Like I love truly most of them. Yeah. I did not like Midnights. I'm not a big Midnights girl either. I'm also not a big reputation girl, which is kind of controversial. I don't know. I mean, I love like getaway car, dancing with our hands, hide, etc. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:26 But I'm really struggling getting invested in her personal life. That's okay. part for me because I find myself invested in most people's personal lives. I'm kind of the opposite. I think I'm only invested in her personal life because she's been a part of my personal life since I was, you know, she's my first concert when I was like seven or whatever. So I do feel like that because I have trouble getting invested in people's personal life. And that is not an area where I struggle.
Starting point is 00:22:53 I would have a hard time collab posting with my fiance named Kill a Trow. I think I'd be like, let's change it up before we collab. Yeah. Hey, it is what it is. But maybe she really likes him. Just like, she, she does. Yeah. She likes the guy. She really likes the guy. But like, like, I just feel the way that everyone feels like, it's so nice to see her, like someone like really out loud, like defend her and love her. It's really beautiful to me. No, I think that's great for anyone. Everyone should have that. I agree. And listen, I'm happy for them. That looks great. Yeah. It really looks beautiful. But I just, you know, I wish I could be like care more, be as excited as ever.
Starting point is 00:23:32 because it's it's fun you know it's really fun it is fun it's fun can't get myself there but that's okay i don't think you personally need to feel that way i have trouble when people are like mean about it yeah you know what i know i totally get that because i'm like why do you either don't give a fuck or give a fuck yeah that's how i feel i completely but they look beautiful i'm very happy for them i feel like they're going to be like popping out kids oh my god i never thought about her having kids for whatever reason she wants kids does she i think I feel like they, you know, I feel like they talk about the, the girls, Jason's girls. I don't know if there's only girls all the time.
Starting point is 00:24:10 And I just think they're going to have kids. To me, I feel like Taylor's the kind of girl. I mean, I don't know one thing about her. Yeah. But that's like, oh, I don't want kids and then meets like the right one like Travis and then she can see herself with a really big family. Right. That makes sense?
Starting point is 00:24:25 No, totally. So she's, yeah, she's very independent girl where I could see her. also like as a defense mechanism being like I don't know I'll be fine without them like you know me yeah totally me with my cats and my romance novels i'm all good i know we have these conversations all the time where we're like i don't think we need a yeah yeah like we're good but i'm sure all at a point where i'm like i do need them so and we'll be adopting yeah yeah family together yep i do like the caption i do too like it's like very true your english teacher and your gym teacher getting married. I agree.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Yeah. I completely agree with that. Well, yeah. Miles obviously, Miles was the first, Miles was my boyfriend. He was the first one I saw text me about it because I'm sure at work it was like a big thing. And I hadn't been on Instagram yet. And he texted me Taylor Swift got married. Okay. So I had actually thought they elope. Okay. But yeah, he didn't care for the caption randomly. Oh, I think it's funny. I think it's so cute. And it's like something that people have said. Yeah. A lot. I think it's adorable. I think it's adorable. because it's like extremely accurate.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Right. Like that is an English teacher and that is a gym teacher. Yeah. If it wasn't accurate, it would be cringe, but it just is. I can't see the like number. What does it say? I would get, okay, that's 30 million. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:48 That's fine. Wait, I'm going to practice my big number reading. 30 million, 300. I see, I don't want to. 350,000, 544. Yeah. I agree. I do shoot.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Sometimes I get a little tripped up and people say that it's not okay. Yeah. So if it has one more number, like in the front, it would be a billion. Agreed. Or I guess two. But for now, it's 30 million, 350,544. Do we know them? Like, I thought they were going to kind of break, like, most liked. What is the most liked photo? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Dot com. Let's see. Izzy Scott got it. I remember there being like a weird situation with eggs or like. Oh, Lionel Messi. Okay. That's 78 million. Oh, there's an egg.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Oh, okay. I see. Just an egg? Yeah, like people rallied behind this egg. It's just an egg. I agree. How many likes does this have? 60 million.
Starting point is 00:26:45 60 million. So this doubled Taylor and Travis. Oh, nice. I bet they feel so dumb. Oh, my God. How embarrassing. How embarrassing. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:26:54 And my friend Emily is about a post today when she gets photographer photos back. And she's going to ratio so bad. I feel so bad for Taylor. Were you in the space when Kyle got down? No. No, I wasn't. It was just them. Yeah, they obviously wanted it to be just them, which I thought was so cute.
Starting point is 00:27:14 But no, I could feel it when he went down, though. Really? Yeah. And then this is my best friend since I was like six. I could really feel it. And then like when did you meet up with them? And was it at the same space, etc. No, not the same space.
Starting point is 00:27:28 It was at like this garden. beautiful garden and then they came actually they actually went home which I thought was sweet they went home and that's when she got changed and got ready and they like had a moment to wear a beautiful white dress I had provided her with three beautiful white dresses and shoes and etc so oh wait like after she got engaged yeah okay not to like ruin the surprise she got engaged in her jeans jeans and skim's body suit because she actually didn't know and then I gave her dress options because she knew there was going to be a party because she'd always asked for a party. Wow.
Starting point is 00:28:02 So then I saw her at the party for the first time. I asked someone to take a video of us like hugging and is my friend, a man, zoomed so far into the left of us. So there's no like, he kind of missed the moment, but it's so fine. Oh, my God. Anyway, then we, yeah, then we just got really drunk until 3am. That's not going to help the cat being drunk rumors. But it was great.
Starting point is 00:28:28 Can you? everyone here knows that like cat being tow up is like an amazing bit are you able to speak on the comments that you were getting on that one brand deal oh yeah i guess i just won't say the brand but you know i posted an alcohol brand deal i'm like obviously responsible with my alcohol and i guess most of the comments were just like this makes sense like put the bottle down like of course like I can't remember there were some really funny ones like I don't remember the exact words but just like in all in that you know in that category and the brand shoots out an email to me that says like screenshots of all these comments Tristan's being one of them by the way I don't know what Tristence was
Starting point is 00:29:14 and they're like these need to be deleted like our girl's back on the bottle and I'm pretty good way yeah back on the bottle like please put the bottle down like just like insane we're worried for your help we're very worried um so they were like this is is just like promoting irresponsible drinking. Like we have to take these down and I didn't see it till like a day later. And anyway. And wasn't your manager like, no, it's a bit? And they were like, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Yeah, my manager sent actually clips from not that y'all care to like, which I'm glad that she did to give some context of like this wasn't just people saying I'm an alcoholic. Right. Because that's been an issue. Like obviously there are people that don't follow me or that don't follow B&C and not that y'all care. I guess they're not really B&C. but maybe the episode they were on whatever to like understand like obviously there's a lot of overlap but not every single individual so I guess a lot of people just think I'm an alcoholic which is fine I don't it doesn't matter but yeah they tip my manager sent the clip and then they were like is you still need to like it's still bad look yeah okay okay thank you but I'm glad they at least have the context yeah no that was killing me yeah in an amazing way um do you mind if I use the restroom really
Starting point is 00:30:26 quick. I knew. I knew that was coming. I could see getting unsettled. It ain't whole happen. I was trying to make it to the boat. I knew it. Yeah, Kat. Go ahead, baby. Hey, Kat, welcome back. Thank you. Sorry about that. All good. Not acceptable. It is. No, it's not. No, I don't want anyone in there for about two to three months. I'm just happy. You're happy and well. Yeah, I actually feel much better. Thank you so much. Yeah. No problem. Are you watching the summer I turn pretty? No, they lost me. When did they lose you? You know, it doesn't feel like a show that I actually had posted a video saying like, I don't know if this is season one or season two being like talking about the age I am watching the show being like I love it and I'm 25, whatever, 26, I don't know. And the author commented and was like kind of upset and she was like, this show is for everyone. And I was like, I feel horrible. Jenny commented. Yeah, Jenny commented and was like.
Starting point is 00:31:26 this post is like I don't she deleted it whatever she said she deleted it oh that's giving me a pit well she I think she was just trying to be nice but like it came off shot I was like I think she didn't like that I was saying like a joke about my age and watching the show because she was like it's forever the show is for everyone the books are for everyone but I'm like I think my 12 year old sister's watching as well I do feel like it's more for her 100% yeah so I just I feel like I aged out of it kind of Not that, I mean, everyone can watch it and enjoy.
Starting point is 00:31:58 I just think different age, ages watch it for a different purpose. I agree. A 12 year old would watch it and be like, damn, this is like good shit. Like, this is good shit. And we're watching just like, there's no way. Yeah. In an amazing way, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:12 To me, like, I would watch it with you or, you know, any of our friends. Like, it's one of those shows I, like, want to be, like, hungover on a Sunday with my friends, like, ordering a bunch of food and watching it all day. That's how I feel. I don't feel like I can like lock in in my house by myself on season three. I couldn't do by myself. I've been watching with SOTI. Yeah. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:32:33 I got all caught up. I get that. You know I live far away from. Yeah. No, you live in a different in a big city. So how are you feeling as someone who is watching? It's definitely tougher than I'd like.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Yeah. Kat, Jeremiah's a very hard character to stomach for me. Yeah. And just most, I would say most of the characters are pretty difficult. really except for like Conrad who like of course has his flaws but it just like it's obviously just like he's more normal yeah like she has to end up with him and just like let's just cut the shit and right and cut the shit I agree yeah I think I kind of lost any character that I gave a shit about I think that's what happened to me right and also I don't know how the books ended but like to me it's like
Starting point is 00:33:18 Conrad is the answer right but like how in good faith Is she going to end up with the brother of somebody she's been with for like five years? That's where. So I obviously know everything. It's not like I'm not watching clips. Of course. You can't not. I know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:33:40 So yeah, that's my thing. Like anytime it's sibling things, I'm like, there's no way out because even if you switch back to the other one, like that is, then it's your brother-in-law. Like it doesn't. Like, what are you going to do? Like, you need to run away. That's the only way. Yeah. And like it was one thing when she was like dating Conrad for a bit of time and then went to
Starting point is 00:34:00 Jeremiah. Yeah. But then to go back to Conrad after a, an engagement and like five year relationship. That I'm not. I didn't realize they were together for five years. What I, like four maybe?
Starting point is 00:34:10 Yeah. Either. Crazy. Yeah. What I think is going to happen is that everyone's going to end up on their own. And then they're going to pull like a kissing booth, which was like a three years later thing. And then Jacob Alorty sees Joey.
Starting point is 00:34:25 King with her unique haircut and then just like the last shot is him like waving at her like hey champ like and just like leaving leaving it like open yeah I guess that's that's what they're going to have to do they literally can't I feel like no one can end up together I feel like it must be different from the book ending because I feel like that's something people would be or maybe not I guess you know what happened no I don't know what happened in the book I don't want to yeah but I do feel like this is the kind of show where they'll do a switch up yeah Yeah, a little fast forward. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:57 There's nothing like a fast forward to write you out of something crazy. Fast forward to me can be a pretty big cop out. Yeah, I can see that. I kind of like it because I like, I really like when there's like a five years later thing at the end. I get really excited. It's fine as an epilogue. But when they do it like mid, like when they did it with pretty little liars, I'm like, you don't need to be doing this like mid show.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Right. Now I agree with that. Yeah. I can't watch, but like, I, you know, I support everyone. No, I just wanted everyone to know that I am watching. I'm all caught up. I actually didn't know you were watching. Yeah, I'm kind of quiet about it.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Yeah, you are. Tristan Janney, I, like, can't enter the narrative because people are so, so passionate and cutthroat. Yeah. To me, I'm just like, it's not something that I'm willing to die on. I saw someone, I don't remember who it was, like getting canceled for being team. Jeremiah. I feel like it was Drew, a foyer low. Yes, that's who it was.
Starting point is 00:35:58 It's like, it's stressing me out. The poor girl is she's team Jeremiah. Love the girl. Don't get that. Still love the girl. But then she even, I think. Which is fine. She responded and was like, wait, what? Like, I don't give a fuck. Literally. She's just having fun. And like, I just don't understand. Like, I see that and I'm like, whoa. Cool.
Starting point is 00:36:17 But, you know, at least you're on the majority side. Like, your team Edward. Yeah. See, that's what. what it is to me. It's like Edward's not a perfect guy. Like he had, he definitely has his flaws, but it's just like, you know Edward and Bella are supposed to end up together, right? That's what I feel about Conrad. It's just like is what it is. It is crazy. Conrad's so Edward and Jacob. Yeah. Jacob's so Jeremiah. Completely. Except for Jacob, like, is a good guy and like he deserved to be happy, whether it was with Renesme or not up for debate. But he deserves to be happy. Jeremiah, I'm like, I don't feel that way about Jeremiah.
Starting point is 00:36:55 I don't know, like, I just know he's, I just know he's kind of strange, but is he like doing bad shit? He cheated on belly in a pretty amazing way. Oh, cool. In a pretty big way. So I didn't know that for reference. No, he had, he did it. Well, it's like, were they or weren't they on a break type of thing.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Okay. He, they like had a fight and he thought they were broken up, slept with someone. And then she was like, wait, we were what? Like, we were dating. And he's like, oh, I didn't know that. Yeah. But even if you were dating, like, just a break up a few days later. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Okay. All right. Actually, I did see the clip now that you mentioned that. Right. I did see the clip of her saying to Conrad being like, what the fuck? You know that? And Conrad said, I didn't so much as look at another girl when we were together. Or, you know what?
Starting point is 00:37:43 Honestly, since then. He didn't say that, but it's implied. Yeah. He loves the girl. You know what? He loves the girl. And Jeremiah is getting like really like brady and whiny. I guess he's always been.
Starting point is 00:37:56 But like with, he was like freaking out about the specific type of cacao bean in their wedding cake. Have you heard that? Oh yeah. That's a sound that's being used about him like freaking out about the cacao. Okay. Just a baby. Right. A little baby.
Starting point is 00:38:11 But I love it, Kat. Okay. Well, I'm going to go on the record as team Conrad. I'm not watching the show. But I just don't want to get canceled. Team Conrad. No, that's fine to do. Okay, great. I'm trying to think of if I have anything to tell you for my weekend.
Starting point is 00:38:25 Yeah, I'd love to hear about your weekend. Sorry, I forgot to ask Brooke. No, I'm, I don't think anything happened. I finished my book. Okay. What book? The one I'm writing. Oh, wait. Sorry, that wasn't. Wait, Brooke, is this your first episode since you finished finished? Yeah. Oh, we need to talk about that. There's nothing even to say. No, this is the most, Brooke and is the most annoying person to write a book. And I mean that positive connotation because anytime she sends something about the book, she'll send a text, whatever, and she'll be like, I'm so sorry. Like last thing about the book.
Starting point is 00:39:02 I'm so sorry. I'm being so annoying. She's like, it's so annoying. We don't need to talk about it anymore. Like you wrote a book and published it. It's like the only thing I want to talk about. I am being so fucking annoying. Brooke, it's the only thing I want to talk about.
Starting point is 00:39:16 No. I'm being dead serious. I talked about it at home so much with my family. I just can't believe your done. Congratulations, baby. It's not full. Well, it has to go to copy edits, which I didn't know what any of this meant. But like that means it's basically off for like getting like checked for like small little like grammatical and sentence structure things.
Starting point is 00:39:36 It's out of your hands. But so to me. Yeah. Well, then I have to review that. So I'll see her once more. You will see her. I'll see her once more. But that's grammatical.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Yeah. Kind of just like little things. like how was your final read through on the beach good question I was being the most dramatic I had to sit by myself on the beach to do it I get that like I can't even read a book like I can't focus on a book if I'm close to my friends yeah you can like but I can't without talking so it's not dramatic I will say this was that was my first time my first and last time ever reading the full thing altogether because I worked on it in chunks so it was always like I'm just doing the first and then the second and then the third chunk
Starting point is 00:40:17 And so this was, I hate the word chunk, sorry. That's fine. But I like, at first I was like, oh my God. It's like watching yourself on camera, which I really struggle with. Yeah, which I really struggle with. So for the first 120 pages, which were the ones that I've spent the most time with, I was like, I, this is tough. And then once I got past that, I was like, holy shit.
Starting point is 00:40:42 Like, this is good. Well, I think like we were trying, we talked. We talked about this a lot, but like she wrote the first half a while ago at this point. So now she's obviously reading it with a more critical eye. But I have read the first half pre edits as well. So probably a less like perfected version. And I loved it. A lot has changed, Kat.
Starting point is 00:41:03 I know, but I loved every second of that. So I'm just like, like, pictures like you, I know you're being drama and like self-critical because it's your writing. Yeah. Yeah, totally. It's maybe being horrible at marketing. Can I say that your book team told you to set back? I was, yeah, I was spending too much time with the first 120 pages. They told her to take a step back.
Starting point is 00:41:29 She kept changing things that were perfect. You are going to go ahead and make it worse. It got to that point. Which is a thing, I guess. And I'm not an author, but I've heard from Brooke and other people that that is a thing, like then you'll change it so much. But obviously your first version was better. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:43 No, I had to take a step away from the first 120. And, you know, they're my, they're really my, I guess I care the most about them because I spent the most time with them. They're my child. Yeah. And so. And it's the first thing that you grew. Yeah. And that's what sold it and everything like that.
Starting point is 00:41:56 So, but, you know, it's, it's all good. And it will be great. And there will be so much information that I can share so soon. But not yet. But so soon. And I do have a cover. Yeah. I was about, I don't know what you want to say.
Starting point is 00:42:12 No, I don't. I haven't said. I haven't said. I have. I. done. I personally love the cover. I know you love it too. It's like so it's crazy because we've like, you've had so many different cover ideas come in over the months. And this was the one I was always like, I really like this. And then at the very end, she added a detail where I was like, like, I always loved
Starting point is 00:42:34 it. And then you added one detail and I was like, it's done. It completely cracked the mainframe. It did. It was a mainframe cracker of a detail. And I like, if you zoom in you can see my hair my hairs are sticking up completely because I just like your book is going to be in Barnes and Noble. I'm going to be in Barnes and shit like that. And also like I wonder if I didn't. I didn't. That's something I like like we can't make it happen random little thoughts like that. What are those stores called again in the airport? Hudson news or whatever. I want to I think they only do bestsellers there. All right. Well, I'm sure it'll be there then. Yeah, I want it in the Hudson news. pretty bad. I want it there. I want it there. Yeah. It's also like I feel like the cover is if someone
Starting point is 00:43:19 didn't know you and like want to buy this book already. Like I would pick it up based on cover. Yeah. That was that's the goal. Yeah. That makes sense. From a selling perspective. It's really cute. And I'm so excited. I haven't read the end. So I'm so excited to read the end. Yeah. It went. So it's not like technically like all cleaned up yet because you know it has to go through the copy edits but early rounds have like gone out to like very early readers and I know that like an author that I I love very dearly like it is in her hands right now and like I know that she's reading it and so obviously I'm very nauseous. Is it who I think it is your girl? It's my it's my girl. Okay. So that's making me sick and just shit like that and so anyway. Anywho's a what's that's
Starting point is 00:44:06 That's really it, I think. It's so huge. I kept like, every time I was like, oh, the book is done. I was like this day, the book is done. I'm going to celebrate book. And then it kept getting pushed. And I was away. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Freaking away. It really, it just flew right under that finishing. It was really like kind of anticlimactic. I was just like, all right. How do you feel now? Extremely depressed. Thank you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Very, very sick and depressed. But you were working like 24-7. Does it feel nice at all to take rest? No. No, it doesn't. I miss it so badly. I miss my best friend. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:44 Fibriette. Obviously, I'll see her again. You will see her. He's forever with me. Probably like a good bit in the next couple years. Seeing the first Phoebe edit. Oh, that was. I don't know if it was the first.
Starting point is 00:44:58 The first that I've seen was insane to whoever that young woman or gentleman that made that. The young woman on. on TikTok, she made like a vibe edit of like what she thinks the book will be like. Yup. And she kind of killed it. Yeah. She did a great job. I do wonder like I, when I read it, I do not picture myself as Phoebe at all.
Starting point is 00:45:21 Yeah. And there were pictures of like me in the edit. And I wonder like if people will picture that. I do not. I didn't really when I read. Yeah. Just based on you being like, this is a separate human being. Like, I feel like maybe because people know you and love you, they might, like it's your
Starting point is 00:45:43 book, just automatically pictures the main character. But I don't know. I wonder. I wouldn't be mad about it. No. At all, y'all can completely do that. I would be completely freaking honored. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:56 But I just wonder what will be in people's heads. Something to think about. I feel like there are certain, there are certain parts. parts that sound like you obviously due to you writing it that make it hard to separate like just because it's your humor so I think that you know there are definitely times where I'm like this is Brooklyn yeah for sure yeah that'll happen I guess but I like it I can't wait for like people to fan cast it yeah fan casting like for me once someone gets cast and hey if it's you then it's you like if you have a movie once someone gets cast then I can like switch my visual that's how I am
Starting point is 00:46:37 but for now it's like either like I can't visualize character so it's like a blob in my head same or you I've been doing blobs and then there's one uh side character who is just Tristan it's all blobs and Trish it's all blobs and Trish completely gorgeous full portrait of Trish yeah no I'm kind of had that experience as well Yeah. I'm buying a Kindle just so she'll send me the electronic copy. Who gives a damn about all this, seriously? Literally, who cares? I mean, it's not much. It's not much, but it's on a score.
Starting point is 00:48:15 I do want you to get a Kindle separately. Well, I'll get a Kindle to get your book delivered to me as soon as possible. And then maybe I'll use it for other things. like reading other books too maybe other things i'd really like that what else do you think we should talk about i don't know do you want to keep talking about biv no i do like what about it i don't know did you feel like here i just want to ask you book related questions did you feel like the end wrapped up post edits was like exactly what you wanted it to be and what you wanted it to feel like that's a great question cat and i feel like i feel like i feel like i can't
Starting point is 00:48:57 answer. Okay. Why do you feel like you can't answer? I don't know. I don't want you to give anything away. How do you feel about it? I feel great. I feel like about how it all ended. Like not about what the ending was about like how you felt about, you know, making it what you wanted speed. Does that make sense? I feel I feel really good. Yeah, because I just feel like if I was writing a book, that would be a really, really difficult part to end it and like you know that's can make or break the whole thing that's a lot of pressure and you feel great about it so that's perfect right and your editors felt great about it as well right and we love the we love the book girls I do wish like I do have another book to write and I wish I like I don't know if it will be like a sequel or not or just a completely separate
Starting point is 00:49:48 beast I do wish I knew if people liked Phoebe, you know, because then it's like, if, if y'all want more, I'll give you more. I'd love to. People will love Phoebe. But also, I could also do something completely separate, too, if you all aren't into it. Oh, my God. No, everyone's going to fall in love with Phoebe, for sure. But, yeah, it is like, I don't know how people have the foresight to, like, to be like,
Starting point is 00:50:14 oh, this is all going to happen, but then I want all of this to happen in the second book. Right. I guess that probably comes with practice and stuff. Sure. But I also feel like you could do like a, I mean, I think people will love Phoebe and you can continue Phoebe's journey or you could like the universe. Yeah, I just like the universe things. I know. I like this too.
Starting point is 00:50:32 I'm sure it'll be something like that. I really do think that. Yeah. It's been amazing. And at the end of the day, it was over a year of my life truly. Every day. Every day. So now.
Starting point is 00:50:47 And even just like your thoughts every day as well. Yeah. So when I woke up yesterday and didn't have to go to my computer, spent a pretty decent amount of the day in bed. That's fine. You deserve that. But in like a derogatory way. Okay. In a way where John and Rob were like, are you okay?
Starting point is 00:51:06 Yeah. Yeah. But I think, you know, give yourself a couple days to be sad about it. And then it's like you have so much to look forward to. Right. And then your writing journey is not even like, obviously you're writing. career is not over, but it's like you also have a full other, you just have so much to look forward to. This is the kind of thing where it's like, you know how parents are like, I won't be able to love
Starting point is 00:51:27 my second child as much as my first. Yeah. Even though they always do end up doing that. I'm telling my, like, I'm not selling my, like, I'm like not selling my, um, self well. That's not true. You're saying that, you're saying that you love the first book so much that like, you know, how could the second one live up? But that's the. thing you also thought your first one was going to be horrible. Did I? No, but you're, I'm just like, you were like, you're even reading it through and being like, it's horrible. Like, you're always saying that, but I'm like, no, the first one is great. And, you know, you didn't, you hadn't written a book before. So the second one will be great. It will be great. It really will. I do think I, I,
Starting point is 00:52:12 I feel, I feel good. I felt good about my readthrough and shit like that. And yeah, you should feel good. And I can't wait for you to read it, Kat. I'll look forward. to. I'm going to sobbing my eyes out like a damn baby. And a whole bunch of nothing over here. But soon, I'm going to be able to say a whole lot of something and I won't be able to shut up. So take this time. Appreciate it for what it is because it's not going on for much longer. I think people want to hear about it. So I don't think people are mad about us chatting about it. Sweet. I can't believe it's off. You sent her off.
Starting point is 00:52:44 So the races. She's gone. I miss her. Yeah. Yeah, I do too. Yeah, but she's about to be out there with everyone, so. I'll be out there with everyone too. Oh, everyone's going to love Phoebe. I was also thinking, obviously, so I'm going to have to delete good reads in a pretty huge way. I can't read negative comments about myself. And so I think reading negative comments about my book will actually be even worse because this is like my kid. Right.
Starting point is 00:53:11 It's my labor of love that I gave everything. too in the least dramatic way possible and I know most authors don't look at goodreads but that's also really hard because I love good reads like as a consumer right but I do have to head off can you block a book on good reads that's a good question no okay they shouldn't make that a thing though for authors to be able to block your own book yeah because I'd love for you to still be able to use it use the platform use the platform but I don't think first of all I think they're going to be overwhelmingly positive. I really do. But then, of course, there's like, you know, you know, people have opinions and shit like that and they're mean. So I would never want you to see that.
Starting point is 00:53:53 Well, this is what I was getting at is that I would rather, I think, of thinking about this as I was on to sleep last night, have a one star review and a three star review. Interesting. Like, at least someone felt passionate about it. At least you felt so strongly that you like, that there was substance there to hate like three it's just like me me i'm just like that is that is not working for me less than hatred that you know because the opposite of love i get that is hate right no the opposite of what is it the opposite of love is not hate it's indifference or some shit like that yes that's what i'm talking about like i'm not doing any three star reviews right now okay we're taking fives or ones but mostly five because the ones will bring down the average so we'll just do the fives for now
Starting point is 00:54:38 You're right, Kat. Yeah. I think average-wise, you'd take the three. But, you know, for your personal self. Y'all can do, like, rate at three and then specify in the review hated one star. But just for average purposes. I should not talk about, I should not in the space say anything about negative reviews. I don't think you should either.
Starting point is 00:55:02 I really don't think that's going to get, it's going to be a big. It's going to do great. It's going to do so great. Anyone that has came into contact with Phoebe, by the way, has loved Phoebe. So I'm just saying like... Well, they've all been my best friends and family. I have to, like, this is not selling like... And professionals and like, whatever.
Starting point is 00:55:18 Who gives a dance? Who gives a... I'm going to download Goodreads to give it a five. I don't have it, but I'll have it. And that can start us out. No, I'm being serious. Y'all will love it. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Yeah. I'm glad you said that. Yeah. That's the key. It's like, it's like very hard for me. me to not, I feel like guilty not speaking negatively about myself. That's what I mean by like she's annoying because she's overly humble about it. It's not even that.
Starting point is 00:55:49 It's like I feel like saying something like saying like my book is good, I do, which I do feel. We don't talk like that enough. Feels really bad. Like a nasty thing to say. Yeah. I think that's that's the nature of how. we operate as humans, our whole friend group.
Starting point is 00:56:10 Like, I think we very much celebrate each other. Right. But when it comes to, like, ourselves, we're at least you and I, you and I cannot can't, can't do it. Like, this was really good. Right. Like, I feel really good. Like, we'll just be like, I mean, it is what it is.
Starting point is 00:56:26 Yeah. I'll kill myself. Right. So it's something for me to work on. I agree. Especially because I do want to want people to buy it. I shouldn't say anything. negative, especially because I feel overwhelmingly positive about it.
Starting point is 00:56:40 I know. That's just extremely hard to speak out of it. It's just a crazy thing. You do feel really good. Yeah. And then you'll say out loud. It's literally, I can't help. Like, it's very interesting.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Yeah. And then it's crazy because you got to do like press and genuinely talk neck. Like, like, be on TV and be like, yeah, this is shit. Even though I don't feel that way, that's just what has to come out. It's what has to happen. Yeah. Like, literally, Brooke's going to be on like a talk show and be like, I know y'all.
Starting point is 00:57:07 I know y'all will hate it. I wouldn't buy it if I were used. So just leave it on the show. Yeah. So, yeah. So that will be something to work on. Y'all saw me work through that a little bit today. It's been amazing.
Starting point is 00:57:21 Hey, we came through on the other side. Yeah. So everything like that. And thank you for having that conversation with me, Kat, about the book. You're most, I will talk about your book as much or as little as you want, but preferably as much. talk about Harry Styles for a second because here's what I'll say about Harry Styles. Absence makes the heart grow fonder until it doesn't. Like there's such a thing as being too
Starting point is 00:57:45 mysterious. Like he has been too far gone for so long that like I don't even know who you are anymore. You know? Yeah. Like I don't really like I'm finding myself not as invested as I usually am because it's like who you're you've become a stranger to me again. Which is probably what he wants. and that's amazing that he's gotten that from most people again. Yeah. I think, yeah. I agree. Like,
Starting point is 00:58:12 I haven't seen the guy in forever. Like, I haven't seen it before. I haven't seen him, you know. He's done it right because I think this is what he wants. Yeah. He wants to be able to walk around and say,
Starting point is 00:58:22 Cravitz and not have these photos taken, but we're going to take him anyway, baby. He looks kind of, like, obviously he's the most gorgeous guy that I've ever seen, but he looks kind of like a normal guy. Does that make sense? I like his outfit a lot
Starting point is 00:58:36 Like I think he looks cute Well no I'm like he's to die for But like you like Back in the day Like one direction It wasn't a norm Like that is an entic Like an entity
Starting point is 00:58:49 Growing up Does that make sense? Like he was once a god God among men He is still a god But like maybe he's also just a guy That's so sad You know I really feel like Robert Patton
Starting point is 00:59:03 is like will always be a god okay does that make sense he he's just godly he is godly it's something about like and maybe this is just from twilight like his skin but then also the characters like Batman like when i thought about like i love suki waterhouse you all know that like when i have seen her i think about him being in the crowd or think about him being on the side backstage and it like sends a chill down Yeah, because I've been around like a pretty good amount of celebrity since I've moved to Los Angeles, California. And most of the time I've been like, oh, wow, this is, there's like drop dead, but like it is just a person at the end of the day. When I was with Rob, I did not feel that way. I felt this is God.
Starting point is 00:59:51 This is God. Capital G. Like this is not normal. Like the, what he's emitting is. Yeah. Is the energy. Greek godlike. Yeah, there's something non-human positive connotation from Rob.
Starting point is 01:00:06 Yeah. I will say. Yeah. Like his child is like half God as well. Exactly. But Sucke to me, like I haven't been around her, but like she is goddess. She is goddess. Like if you've ever seen Suc perform in a similar Olivia Dean fashion, the fan is freaking blowing.
Starting point is 01:00:24 She's got fur jacket on. Like there's greenery everywhere. Like she is doing goddess. Speaking of fan blowing. Okay. Connor and I had an opportunity recently where we had to film something. I loved this opportunity. And there was one scene in what we had to film where there is a fan blasting on us for a close-up shot.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Okay? Yeah. And obviously our reaction to the fan blowing on us was having this like extreme like knockback. Like, whoa. Like, whoa, we were just knocked down. And the director was like, okay, love that. But this time, like, hey, it's just a fan. You know, like, you don't need to do like, you're not being, like, hit by a truck.
Starting point is 01:01:14 And we were like, okay. I think we hear what you're saying. Like, we just saw your hair blow back. Yeah. Like, y'all will please stand out. Got it. We think we hear you. Action fan blows.
Starting point is 01:01:25 I mean, we were getting knocked back further than we were before. We couldn't grasp that like we weren't getting knocked down to the ground by this fan. Like no matter. Have you seen that SNL skit with Fred Armisen and Zach Ephron that's like, I am your mother. And every time it's like action, she gets worse and worse and worse, it was that. Because like every single time he called action and was like just normal fan, hairs blown back a bit. We were tumbling. Tumbling backward.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Yeah. So I'm excited to see how that scene. of this project. Did you all ever get it together for that scene? It's hard to say as that was the end of the day. Okay. And it had been a long one. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:02:10 So there's a few things. You look beautiful in her outfit. That's very sweet, Kat. And your hair and makeup. Did you have a glam team? I had a glam team for this opportunity. Beautiful. Thanks, Kat.
Starting point is 01:02:21 But I'm excited for everyone to see what this is. And there was also I had a line that was literally as simple as like, Hey, what's up, man. Couldn't get it. Could not get it. I mean, that must have been 120 takes of, hey, what's up, man? Like, I couldn't get, I couldn't find, I couldn't find, I couldn't find the character. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:41 Well, I think was the character just supposed to be you? Yes. Okay. I couldn't. It kept coming out like, hey man, what's up? Brooks playing herself goes into someone completely different. And the director was like, hey, let's just do like casual. Hey, just be yourself.
Starting point is 01:02:56 Oh, okay, casual. Hello, my brother. Like, it's literally. Like I could not. I could not do it. Yeah. And if there was, I think until this shoot, there was always like 1% of me that still maybe had that like childhood dream of like being an actress.
Starting point is 01:03:12 Yeah. I still have my 1%. I feel like everyone has that 1%. I don't, it's gone. Okay. After that, I think it's down to zero. Okay. So it was a humbling and sobering experience.
Starting point is 01:03:23 Yeah. I think I need to have an experience like that to take me down to zero because I know I'd be horrible at it. Like I have to film brand deals. and I do the same thing, like where I can't do the line. No. And I'm like, I'm sitting here all the time in the world. No one's like paying me to be.
Starting point is 01:03:39 Like, I mean, the brand is paying, but I'm not like on a set. No pressure. Can't do it. It really, I should post like a reel of like my outtakes doing brand deals. And I'm sure all of ours, it's like it's completely. I'm fine if it's like natural in any way. But if it's, if I have a line like of something like. God forbid, like scientific or something.
Starting point is 01:04:02 Yeah. I'm toast. Oh, for me, I'm always like, hey guys. Hey guys. Like, it's literally like 80 of those. Yeah, it's fun. It's amazing. Well, Kat, I so appreciate you being here today.
Starting point is 01:04:17 That's sweet. I know you did not want to be here. I enjoyed my time. It was fine. Sorry for talking about my look. It's amazing, though. It is so good, though. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:04:30 a problem it's amazing i look forward to having it in my hands as well as on my new kindle yes cat yay brooke this has been fun thanks for having me coming love you so much see you in the bonus thank you in the bonus nice
