Okay. Hey, Brooke. Hey, Connor. It's me, Connor, from high school.
It's nice to see you.
Good morning.
Welcome back to Brooklyn Connor makeup podcast.
Yeah, that's to everyone.
That was a greeting to the world.
Good morning to everyone who's listening.
I just got back from the dentist.
I got a root canal and then I got a filling right in front of it.
I can't feel the whole right side of my face.
Why did you do that before the podcast?
Dennis don't have.
It's not like getting a haircut.
Like they have an opening.
You just have to take it.
Yeah, that's true.
And I'm also, the dentist that I ended up going,
to it's a family practice. He's very much like a father figure to me already. I've met him twice.
And it feels like that. Like when I first got there, like, who do you know? It was like,
it was like being in a fraternity. Oh, wow. Yeah. Name three people, you know. And I was like,
I know I'm friends of a friend with this person, but I've never met her. Whatever, and they let me
end because I was just like running a comedy clinic in the dental office. Like, I was being so funny.
All the, all the places where like, like, I'm there for.
for one reason and one reason only.
And it's not an appropriate time to joke.
I'm running a absolute comedy special with the receptionist.
They love me so much.
But I'm just like warning you.
So I do want to say really quickly.
I can't stop looking at the way your mouth is moving in such a unique way.
I have a really high tolerance to anesthesia.
Anesthesia?
No, that's a woman.
Anesthesia was right.
Anastasia's a woman.
Anesthesia would be a...
And by that, do you mean like it takes a lot to get you?
Like, I was up the whole time during my wisdom teeth removal.
Right.
And they kept going, up the gas.
And it was in slow motion and really deep.
And I was like, yeah, up the gas, baby.
Everything was like really low pitch and like slow.
And I was like, I'm having so much fun here.
But then they were like, actually lower the gas.
But I was awake the whole time.
I'm also really like high tolerance to the numbing thing.
Yeah.
So I like still feel stuff.
So I keep insisting.
Can you please just put more in?
Because that feeling of like hitting a nerve on my tooth.
Yeah.
I was holding them.
I can't even hear the word nerve.
Nerve.
Nerve.
In like relation to the body.
Yeah.
It's a freaky thing and they're everywhere.
Of course like the one thing that you're not comfortable with is like all over.
Yeah, I'm just not comfortable with it.
all.
Did you feel?
Yeah, I felt.
But the good part is, and something I'm really excited about, is this tooth that I've been
dealing with I've been putting up with for so long.
I think it was five years ago.
I was in New York and I was chewing gum.
And then I just felt this tooth crack in half.
I pulled my gum out.
Two pieces of tooth in it.
Just like for no reason.
For what?
And so now the tooth is gone?
Well, he drilled it almost.
completely out. He drilled me to bits and then filled it back in. But this is great news because
that's the problem tooth for my flossing. It's like I'm not really, I'm not going to be in pain
while I'm eating anymore. Wait, so he put a new tooth in? No, it's like it's a filling essentially.
Ruknow filling cap. But does it look like if there's a tooth there or a tooth with a filling?
I don't know. I can't see it. It's a back right. You can't see it. But he also had to drill into the one
in front of it.
If someone drilled into my head like that, I would be in bed for four weeks.
I've just done this so many times because I got brittle bones.
Every morning I break my legs.
Honor, I wonder if that's part of your syndrome.
It's not.
Like, I confirmed I don't have that, by the way.
Did you?
Ellers Down Low syndrome.
No, I don't have it.
How did you figure that out?
Because I looked at at length.
Well, I looked at length at the symptoms.
It was self-diagnosis.
I truly don't have any of these, like in a real way.
Okay.
And a lot of people were telling me, they were like, you would know if you had it, that
kind of thing.
Okay.
It's like, but it's also like, you guys think way too highly of how in touch I am with my body.
I don't know what's going on.
Like, I think that I would, I think I put up with a lot of things that happened to me
internally and then I get used to them.
and someone would have to come and be like,
that's not normal, by the way, you know?
Right.
So maybe you do have,
and you just aren't noticing.
Totally.
Yeah.
By the way.
Yeah.
I wish there was some sort of person you could go to.
Well,
she only gives me 15 minutes when I go into my family practice
and I have to go through my list of reasons.
Oh, you're doing the family practice for a doctor as well.
Well,
that's just like a primary care physician.
It's like they call it a family practice.
And I went in and I pulled out my list called reasons I'm going to
die and she goes you can pick three of these bullet points because we're only 15 minutes.
I had that the last time I went to the doctor too.
So we're going to just have a standing appointment like therapy.
Yeah.
And she also recommended therapy.
And did you go?
Oh, I've been twice, y'all.
I've been twice to therapy.
Connor, how was it?
It was good.
This last lesson, I Snapchat did you yesterday.
Yeah.
The way I didn't understand what he said for an hour, like I was so crazy.
at one point I was just like, you know, because we were talking through like the way that I'll have something that comes up that's timely and important, like a dude date for your writing.
And then all of a sudden I'm going to the dentist for the first time in six years.
I'm going to the doctor for the first time in five years.
But I'm not doing these things that like, like, okay, what's another month without going to the doctor?
But like this thing is going to happen no matter what, you know?
So like work stuff, you know?
And it's like, okay, maybe do your work stuff.
and then, but like, it's like pushes me to do that.
And guess what his advice was?
What?
Longest sentence I've ever heard.
And then I would recommend just doing it.
I don't know what else there is to say about that, truly.
No, really?
And I, like, I was like, I've like never considered just do it.
Yeah.
Like, I'm being, I'm, I'm in therapy with the Nike logo.
go. I was literally just about to say sometimes all it takes is a slogan. So that's why slogans are so
powerful. And copywriters, like, you are doing God's work. Don't use chat. GBT, because like things like that,
like now I have the Nike slogan really pulling me to the finish line. Do you feel like you've been
helped? No. Okay. Not yet, I should say. Well, yeah, it's only been two sessions. It's been two sessions.
Do you feel like you guys are clicking? No. God.
No.
I do not.
It's a man?
Yes.
I have never had a male therapist, so I can't really speak to it.
But I am, that, I don't see that for you.
Everything okay?
No, I had this like tickle cough that like the doctor said it was allergies.
And that's why I got the like little thing.
But I will say at the dentist.
And let's circle back to therapy in a second because I want to get this dentist talk out.
one thing I want to say about the dentist is why when I get to the dentist does my tongue become its own entity?
It's needing to touch everyone's finger.
It's needing to push the devices out of my mouth.
Why is the drill in here?
Get it out.
Like it feels like I brought a really belligerently drunk friend to a party.
And I kept having to be like, I'm sorry.
Like he's never usually like this.
Like I don't know why he's acting.
I don't know why he's acting so weird.
It's like literally its own thing.
No, the only time I've ever noticed my tongue is at the dentist.
No, I am sitting.
I might as well not have one.
I am sitting there like acting like I don't know him.
It really is bizarre.
It's so insane.
I'm like genuinely trying to be like stop.
And the more I like instigate my tongue, the more it's like, no.
Like why is, why is this mirror in here?
No, they don't listen.
It's, it's so.
Shane. It really is. I did have to be like, I'm sure. I don't know why that's happening. I'm sorry.
That's my buddy. Like I don't act like that. I guess it has some reflexes. Like when you bang your knee and it jolts.
I will say one of the funniest things that happened in the dentist was when he goes, why don't you have a crown on this root canal? And I go, I took it out at a restaurant and they cleared my plate.
And he goes, I don't need to know. I don't know. I know. They did laugh. But it was more of like a what is, where did you come from?
Right.
And how did it, where did you come from?
Yeah.
Where are you going?
Yeah.
Like on my, on my form, it probably says Cotton Eye Joe.
Right.
Wow.
But I have to get, I have to get a crown.
I'll just tell you guys like, if you lose a crown, just know, go ahead and start a savings account immediately, if not sooner.
Because insurance, my insurance doesn't cover it.
Can I ask how much it is?
Sure can.
$2,400.
That's.
nuts.
Yeah, that's why I was
insisting to my 18-year-old server
that I needed to go
backstage at the restaurant venue
and search through their industrial size
cleaning mechanism for dishes.
Well, they have just put that one back on, though?
What do you mean?
I don't think I know what a crown is.
It's like a, it's like a veneer.
Okay.
So just it kind of fastens.
on to, they shave the old tooth down, they kill it.
Oh, this is not what I thought a crown was at all.
I thought a crown was like a silver, I guess if I'm thinking of a filling.
Oh, you can get a silver crown.
Oh, why would you opt for the silver or gold crown when there's a white tooth crown?
It's less expensive.
Oh, okay.
I wouldn't mind having a silver or gold crown in the back of my mouth.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I also like don't like the taste of metal.
And I,
I bet you'd be tasting metal.
You don't want to be tasting pennies when you wake up.
But it is,
I think I had one a silver one a while back when I was in like elementary school
in the very back of my mouth.
And I was going to say,
I remember my brother having so many silver things in his mouth when he was little.
Maybe that's because they just like fall out.
So it's like,
why would you not get the silver?
My daddy's got a gold, dude.
My daddy has diabetes.
diabetes. That will go down. And history is one of my favorite things to say. Oh, that's a great
video. You wanted to circle back to therapy? Yeah. And what was I going to say about therapy?
I was just going to, I think I was going to say like when you're when you're there, like, when you get
to like a running point with therapy. Like I'm wondering when like, like your stride.
Because like right now he's like, I just want to like get to know. And I'm like, I don't know what you
want me to tell you. Like, I feel like I didn't, like, I don't have anything that I'm working through
right now, you know, like, that I think he really wants to find, like, a thing to work through.
And I'm like, I don't really have anything for you right now. Could you try and find one?
Yeah. I just don't know what I should tell him where he can be like, oh, I just struck gold.
I don't know either. That's something you have to look within. It's just like, I don't want to look
within. Like, you should be doing. But your therapist can't help you if you're not honest. That's
something I learned.
What have you not,
what have you not been honest about?
I just like didn't speak about a lot of things.
And then once I did,
I was like,
yeah,
I had to,
I mean,
they're on HIPAA.
I know that.
But like still,
just like things you don't want to talk about.
Yeah.
Like,
that's what they're,
there,
that they're,
that's their job.
But I,
it is,
so HIPA covers,
where does HIPA end?
Because if you were to go in and be like,
I did judge.
Just, okay, two things.
One, I just killed a person.
Good question, because I was very confused about that when I was watching monsters,
the Menendez brothers, and with their therapist.
Did they, because they admitted, or one of them admitted to killing their parents.
And he was like, okay, I can't, I won't say anything.
I can't say anything.
I think it's because that guy was on like a heavy duty payroll.
I think that was, I don't, I think HIPAA, what does that say?
What does it say for HIPAA?
emergency situations.
HIPAA allows disclosures of PHI as needed to treat patients or individuals in immediate danger.
What's PHAI?
Like suicide?
It allows disclosure to personal health, maybe?
I don't.
Ooh.
What is that?
Protective health information.
So information.
Workers compensation.
State law will generally take precedence.
So that to me includes murder.
So.
Okay.
So what if this person didn't exclusively say like I murdered this person, but they say something that would implicate them in that?
So like obviously state law, but like would you be breaking HIPAA if you made a little bit of a jump and said like, oh wait, you were in the state fair parking lot?
Like that's where that person was at that time and you're already like low key a suspect.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
I truly do not know.
I don't know either because if you break HIPAA, that's grounds for lawsuit against you now.
Even if the health care provider suspects a patient is involved in a crime, they can't disclose it without
breaking HIPAA.
However, there are specific exceptions to HIPAA that allow for disclosures to law enforcement,
court-ordered warrants, identifying or locating individuals, crime victim information,
suspected criminal activity.
Yeah.
If a death is suspected to be the result of criminal activity, the cover.
entity can notify law enforcement.
So yeah, you can.
But I wonder like how far that goes.
What if you're like, I killed my cat.
I killed my neighbor's cat.
Then it was, then it's maybe a case by case, state by state.
Case by case, state by state.
That's like the SDAF.
I'm just glad I'm not the one in charge.
Let's just say that.
Let's, we can actually leave it at that.
Let's say that.
And move on.
You know, it would be so weird.
Sorry, we don't even have to.
It'd be weird if you were under the influence of,
like some drug, you're getting surgery or something.
And you know how people are like saying crazy.
If you were like, I killed someone, like,
but you were under the influence of drugs in the doctor's office.
I actually know the answer to this.
Do you really?
Yeah, your confession would not be admissible in court.
Because you were under the influence.
Oh, because you're not of sound mind and body.
Wow.
Exactly.
Okay.
But it.
Lokey.
Yeah.
We ate that up.
We did.
We did.
We knew one thing for once.
It sounded really smart.
It was a really intuitive conversation that we just had.
I don't know if it's intuitive.
I think something kind of,
I think something might have shifted just now.
Yeah.
I feel good about that.
And you know what?
Let's quit while we're ahead.
And let's move,
we can move straight forward.
I for one am disappointed that I woke up this morning.
Heard.
What's going on over there?
I was having a dream.
Oh.
about David corn sweat.
Right.
I don't think you're alone.
No, I'm not.
And what was, what's going on in the dream?
It was like, he was just giving me a foot massage and I was on a swing.
And we were just chatting.
How, if you were moving back and forth, was he, how was he running back?
It was every time I, like, got, went, propelled forward.
It wasn't even like a consistent foot massage.
thought it was more of just like a really reassuring squeeze on the soul of my foot.
That can feel really good.
Yeah.
It was just more like, I'm here.
And I was like, thank you, David.
Wow.
I haven't even seen Superman yet.
I heard it's really good.
I'm going to.
I don't think I'm going to.
I think it's too much.
I can't afford it.
Is no real estate left in the noggin?
There's no real estate left.
Truly.
And obviously I say this, I think I've probably,
said this every episode, but I did go to middle school with him.
Yeah.
That's the first thing I say when I meet people now.
Hi, I'm Brooke.
I went to middle school with David Cornswet.
You should make shirts.
I wish you knew who was.
I knew David, I knew David Cornswet before Superman.
Like we did with Jack Martine.
Yeah, but it doesn't count because it was only a one way no.
Like, it's not like he knew me.
Because he's so much older.
There's not a, it's not a non-zero chance that he didn't know you.
I think it would be a zero chance because I was thinking about it.
And I was in fifth grade.
I was in fifth grade when he was in eighth.
And so I was,
that's when middle school started for me was fifth.
And so we were in the play together.
Oh my God.
And I was thinking about it.
And like I knew every eighth grader when I was in fifth grade.
But when I was in eighth grade,
I didn't know one fifth grader.
You know,
you always know like the seniors,
but you would never know any of the little ones.
And I was one of the little ones.
You were both in the play together.
And you were probably almost microscopic in fifth grade.
size-wise.
Not
horizontally.
Like on the X-axis.
I was not microscopic.
Are you saying width?
Yeah.
That's what I'm saying.
Like vertically, yeah.
Well, then there's probably
some notoriety associated
with being so tiny.
No, it wouldn't be that.
I was bigger.
Does that make sense?
No, I know.
But like I'm saying just height-wise,
I'd be like, look at that little tiny girl.
I don't think that was a pretty smart.
But.
You're making a leap in the opposite direction.
No, he doesn't know who I am.
But, I mean, I really love the guy.
I've been watching all of his interviews.
And his passion for Star Wars is so contagious.
And you know I love a man with passion.
Right.
Yeah.
It just like really moves me that he's talking about.
Star Wars in every interview and that's not what he's promoting.
Like at all.
Almost adjacent to Superman.
Relax and let Ralph's delivery handle your grocery shopping this week.
We start with only the freshest items.
Then review your list and carefully choose each one.
Then we pack it all up and deliver it in as little as 30 minutes.
So you can feel confident it's what you ordered.
Fresh groceries, your way with Ralph's delivery and pickup.
And right now, you can save $20 on your first delivery or pickup order.
Ralph's, fresh for everyone.
It's funny.
I used to go to Star Wars every time it came out.
We'd have a sleepover and we'd all go see the new movie.
I really want to get into something like that.
We're Lord of the Rings.
There just isn't something like that anymore that's coming out in series that isn't Marvel.
And Marvel already has their base.
It's nice to be a part of something at Ground Zero.
Like, I started rewatching Pirates of the Caribbean last week.
And it is such a cinematic masterpiece.
The acting is obviously insane.
All the characters are so perfectly developed.
But also, it's almost slapsticky.
Yeah.
And you know what?
I think that's why I could never get on board with it.
Oh, I adore Pirates of the Caribbean.
Yeah, that was, I never forget into it.
Wow.
I tried hard too.
Wanted to be one of the cool.
If my community is out there somewhere, Pirates of the Caribbean fan base, like, I am one with you.
No, I know tons of, tons of them.
Really?
Yeah, our friend Frankie is like obsessed with pirates.
I love it, man.
Yeah, I get it.
We talked about that one time and it went so viral and it was actually viral in a bad way.
What did we say?
Or you can split men into two groups, men that think about the Roman Empire and men that think about pirates.
And everyone's like, well, my man thinks about his wife and kids.
Listen, like, my man thinks about his job.
It's like, listen, you can think about pirates at your job, by the way.
Like, that's not mutually exclusive.
Yeah.
You can, two things can be true.
I really am in the mood to have everything I've ever said or done.
be deleted from the internet in like a huge way.
Yeah.
What did you do?
What did you?
What did you?
I don't know, Connor.
I mean,
I've just been thinking about things and just,
if you could get rid of like two internet moments that you've had,
like something you've said on the podcast,
whatever,
what would they be?
Just to get ahead of them.
So if they resurface,
people know that you don't stand by them.
A lot of things we've said without the context of like knowing us,
would be a tough watch, you know.
But you do have to know us.
And like, that's just something that I have learned to live with.
It's like, if you, you don't like something, I say, that's fine.
Like, you don't have to listen to it.
Also, like, the people that know us, know us.
I don't worry too much about what we've said here.
I think internet moment, like, I can't watch my old videos, obviously.
I tried to watch my YouTube vlog recently.
And that was...
Oh, I loved your YouTube vlog.
It was cute.
It was really endearing.
And I missed for three years you sang new vlog coming next week.
Yeah, me too.
Probably the next thing I post on YouTube will be like a comedy set, like a full comedy set.
I'm sure once you have a new comedy set do, you'll post a vlog.
100,000 percent.
Yeah.
And it's going to be funny because people are going to be like, wait, is this the same person?
Because I'm like, pale as a ghost compared to when I lived in California.
Like, definitely weight has fluctuated both ways.
people are going to be like, who is this?
You look the same, really.
You're completely
not Benjamin Button,
but yeah.
Or just somebody who stays the same,
rather, even.
I was thinking about something I said
on the very early podcast
that I was just like, ooh,
ooh, like last night when I was falling asleep.
Yeah.
Who was it?
When I was like not understanding
like long COVID.
You remember that?
And I,
because I was in the long COVID Facebook groups
because I was like one of the first March 2020 cases.
And I was just like not understanding like why people were like posting in the group
these like really intense symptoms.
And I was like,
y'all need to like go to the doctor.
Because they were typing like I can't see or hear.
Yeah.
And I was like, oh my God, go to the hospital.
But it really sounded like I was like.
minimizing long COVID, which I kind of was and I feel bad, obviously feel horrible because I just didn't know.
But I was losing sleep over that last night. But I still do think they should go to the hospital.
I don't think that anything you said was minimizing long COVID. You were in the group because you were
experiencing symptoms. Yeah, but I was experiencing more minor ones. Like just like so much hair loss.
I think if someone's posting in a Facebook group, I'm going blind. They should definitely seek medical help.
Like you're right when you say that.
I'm going blind and deaf.
How are you typing?
Also like some of the stuff would be like, hey, I woke up and all my hair fell out.
You need to go to the hospital.
That's what I was saying when now I feel really bad.
Oh, and then there was this one time.
This I don't feel bad about at all.
This was just like insane.
I think this was the most insane comment I've ever gotten was when I was on obsessed
and I was saying that like I used to just wear it.
bandages just because I was like desperate for oh yeah for any sort of attention and someone commented
and was like wow like think about people who really need ace bandages and like you are taking from
their supply and like this is just everything that's wrong with the world and that was a comment that
I was just like whoa I think that was the episode where I said kindly just like you're not going
to like anything we say moving forward.
Like if you're upset about the ace bandage,
just like I want to assure you this is not going to be something you enjoy listening
to long term.
And also I was wearing the same piece of reused fabric over and over and over again.
The piece of shriveled, like disgusting ace bandage.
But anyway.
That was the episode I said I tried to break my arm so I could get a cast.
No, this was obsessed.
No, I remember we talked about this because we both got these comments.
It was like, you attention seeking freeze.
Like, yeah, we have a podcast.
Of course.
We don't really like to be perceived or looked at or listened to it all.
Can you see my, like, my dick print through the screen?
I'm wearing linen pants.
What's going on with, how does it never go?
Like, how have they not invented pants that don't look like you have a
constant boner. I don't know, Connor. I really don't. I posted an Instagram story this weekend and people
are like, oh my God. Oh my God. Really, wow. Well, they were, yeah. And I was like, guys,
like, you really think I'd, I post a story of my boner? I have before on Be Real. Just kidding.
That was just a normal penis. Just, that was just flaccid. Thank you.
Yeah, actually, now that I said that I, I'm like, I totally would accidentally post
my penis, but like it was just my jeans, y'all.
It was just your pants tent.
Just my jeans that I got from the store.
Thanks.
You need to watch the show too much.
I am watching it.
Oh, are you loving it?
Yeah, I really like it.
Meg Salter's a star.
She is truly the funniest person in the entire world.
I have something
something to say
what do you think about her counterpart
the young man that she's having
in a fair I like like him
it's throwing me off so much
that that's the same guy from White Lotus
Versatile
He's giving me like
I'm almost like did you study like
parts of Maddie Healy
like he's like like kind of like
dirty in a way that
I care for
which is the opposite of his White Lotus
his character. His accent's crazy. It is crazy. I can't have Lena Dunham wrote this show.
Damn, can she write. I know. It's so good. And it's so real. These are the shows that I really like
were like, you can tell that there's lines written, but the way that they're getting to the end
of the scenes was just like, here's what, here's the point they need to get across in the scene.
Just get there. Yeah. Lines aren't super important. And, you know, like, it's very,
conversational and they're kind of like,
there's murmurs like during the scenes, which I like.
Yeah.
It's very conversational.
Yeah.
I love that.
Yeah.
That's how Girls was.
Yeah.
And even like the first episode, like at the end, like,
at the end when he like walks in with the dog and like there's music playing in the back
and she's in the vass.
Like that reminded me of like Bridget Jones, like an early rom-com.
Bridget Jones.
Yeah.
I really like it.
I'm really, I'm not done yet, but.
I'm only on episode.
I'm loving it.
Yeah, it's really good.
Speaking of,
I put a TV in my bedroom
for the first time in my life.
I've been wanting to do that too.
How's it going?
Did I talk about this already?
No.
So this bitch is up and plug.
It's also hard to say what we talk about.
I think we're starting to talk about the same thing.
I know.
When we talked about Big Tooth last week,
people are like,
you guys had this exact verbatim conversation.
And I was like,
you know what?
To me,
there's no difference between what I'm saying in my head
and what I'm saying out loud.
so I don't know what's been said out loud.
Also, I don't remember yesterday.
Good point.
Like, how am I supposed to remember
having a conversation about Big Tooth?
Yeah.
So, put the TV up.
It's up and running.
I did talk about this.
Because I said I watched.
Hey, man, I wouldn't know.
I watched, no, wait, I didn't talk about this.
Okay, sorry.
I got it.
So, like, I can't figure out
to change a channel yet, but so it's been on
Desperate Housewives. I think that they're like really
I think that they're really pumping out Desperate Housewives right now on
whatever
streamer it's on. Because it won't, it's,
it's been just like playing after whatever show. Are you just like on cable?
I might be just on cable.
You might just be on cable. I might just be on cable.
Yeah. But it is playing. No, it's no, because it's playing in like,
get this episode's over. This one's playing in 30 seconds. So it's definitely on a streamer.
But the remote won't work or something.
I can't figure it out.
But I'll tell you what,
I'm scared of who this next version of myself I'm going to become because I'm getting,
I'm not even turning on my white noise machine anymore.
I'm falling asleep to the sound and the radiation of a TV.
You know, this is the first time in my entire life I've had a TV in my bedroom.
Ever.
Yeah.
I haven't either, except when I was a kid and I needed one or I convinced myself that I would be sick,
which made sense
never had one
if I wasn't falling asleep
to the sound of TV
I was always falling asleep
to the sound of George Lopez
don't do
dunk
dunk dunk
yeah
yeah no I never had one
I was trying to
I'm trying I'm trying
I'm trying I'm trying
I try to say goodbye
and I choke
try to walk away
and I stumble
That's a good one
Yeah though I try to hide it
It's clear
Wait freeze
Don't say anything more.
What are the next words?
Don't tell me.
I know it's, I got it.
I already have it.
I want to say, I blow bubbles when you're not here, but that can't be it.
It's not.
You have two words right.
What are the words?
Four words, right.
But what are the real words?
When you are not here.
Yeah.
What happens when you're not here?
Five.
Her world crumbles.
Wow.
My world crumbles when you.
you are not there.
That makes a lot more sense.
Yep.
Lericist.
Who is that?
Tony something, right?
I don't know.
I don't know why I thought it was TLC.
No.
That's a fabulous song.
See, that's...
Macy.
Macy.
That's Oldies.
No, I wouldn't even say that's oldies.
You know what's crazy?
You know what we were talking about last week how the song,
Hey there, Delilah is oldies.
Yeah.
Did you know someone listening to a song today that came out in 1995 is the same as someone in
1995 listening to a song from 1965?
Don't tell me shit like that.
Like what?
The 60s?
Like shit was, that was like the Cold War.
Ooh, don't quote me on that.
No, you're right.
When was the Cold War?
Siri just like absolutely not giving a damn that I'm recording a podcast.
I'm pretty sure you're right.
Take your time, Queen, please.
I got all day.
I'm telling you right now, you're right.
I'm having a day built for Albert Einstein.
I might come up with an equation later.
It's a day for success.
Was Albert Einstein the one that I was thinking looked like my grandpa?
I could definitely see that.
I could also see a young Albert Einstein being someone that you found outling.
Was Albert Einstein Jewish?
Einstein sounds.
It does.
Yeah, German Jewish family.
I could see a young Albert Einstein being someone that you would fall head over heels for.
Connor, you know what new show is coming out?
I don't know if you do.
Or I definitely told you at one point, but I'm sure you forget.
No, I know.
There's a show coming out.
I know exactly what.
What am I going to say?
Larry David?
No.
That's not what I'm going to say.
What I'm going to tell you is that there's a show coming out where Albert Einstein's great
grandson solves murder cases.
Who plays him?
Matthew Greg Goobbley.
Yeah.
That's exciting.
That'll be a show I watch.
Yeah.
Me too, Connor.
That's a good combo.
I don't want to talk much about it, but he does have a girlfriend that's younger than me.
and that's all I want to say.
And I want to move on right now.
Okay.
Thanks.
There's also a show coming out that like my dream date, cute.
It's Larry David.
I'm going to just going to read the headline so I don't botch it.
This is such a goddamn joke from God.
Like God.
No, it's a God twink.
It is, it's something that, what did you say?
It's a God twink.
Like a God wink.
Okay.
Okay, Larry David sets HBO return after curb with American History sketch comedy show.
You're joking me.
I know.
I agree that you have to be joking me.
You have to be joking.
I agree.
This is like it's not even written in the stars for me.
This is like, this is like written.
This is like Jordan Sparks tattoo.
I'll always have you.
Like this is going to be, this is so up my alley.
Like I'm getting hit with a bowling ball.
I agree.
that this, if I could like make a show in a lab for you.
No, but it's almost like it's, it's, it's freaking me out like in a bad way.
Like, it's like, it's way too, it's way too on the nose.
Yeah, I understand that.
The way that I won, obviously curb, enough sad, two, obviously Larry David, three, drunk, drunk
history, love history, just in general.
That's insane sketch comedy show.
I know.
Sketch comedy show.
Balls to the wall.
It's almost so on the nose.
knows that it's like, will it be good?
There was something else you sent me to that we talked about like two weeks ago
and immediately it happened.
They released that on and on.
Take me away from Freaky Friday.
Brooke, someone's listening to the podcast.
When I was like they needed on Spotify, they released.
I don't think they put it on Spotify, but they did release a new version of it.
Okay, whoever is listening to the podcast that like very clearly values things that we
like speak up like use your voice tell us that tell us that we got that on to streaming services
like we love little accolades like that yeah so clearly could use a pat on the back that's so clearly
another w for b and c i had to tell you something what i really like everyone is thinking this but i think
it too i really do think daisies by justin beber from the album swag is the best of
song I've ever heard.
It's a perfect song.
It's fabulous.
It's a perfect song.
And there are so few songs that I listened to the first time.
All songs sound the same to me pretty much when I listen to it for the first time.
I'm just like, that's a bunch of words.
This song stood out to me right away.
It's fabulous.
I had the same thought.
Yeah.
And I never hated the album.
I'm like, that's my kind of music.
I love McGee.
Like, he's the one that produced the whole album.
That's like his vibe.
I was kind of expecting that when I heard.
Now, sexy red on that one song, what is it, Sweet Spot?
I don't know because I've only been listening to my big three.
There's one where it's just like such a great ballad by J.B.
And sexy red comes in.
The vibe immediately switches, but there's one specific line that is a little bit poetic to me.
She says, put the dick up in my ass, make my heart stop.
now that obviously like that will live for so long um it being in the song
changes the whole like it's like you're viving and then all of a sudden you're like
where am i yeah almost makes your heart stop doesn't it it did it made my heart skip a beat
um Shakespeare could never no he couldn't could you imagine like in today's
in today's world Shakespeare and second
actually read could very much like collab on something and you'd be like what could I compare
thee to you know shape here was probably a woman hold that thought so she I mean still regardless
what could I compare thee to a dick up in my ass maybe yeah one that makes my heart stop
and they would high five and they would walk out and the studio would be up in flames because of
that heat um I have to listen to that one I've only been listening to
daisies. Go baby. Go babies. Go baby. Go baby. Go. And what's the other one I love? Something about
going on a walk. I love going on a walk. Walking away. Kind of goes like that. Yeah. I really,
I really like the big three that I had just mentioned. Yeah. I like the big three of finance companies.
Let me see if I can name them. Okay. Goldman Sachs. Yeah.
Ernst and Young
and Morgan Wallen
Stanley
I wouldn't have gotten that one
Morgan Stanley
Um
Oh I have some
Oh I have to tell you something
I remember what I had to tell you
Okay hit me
This is the worst thing
Ever
I was up at like three in the morning
Oh by the way
Rob has tapeworms
Goes without saying
Jesus Rob
What was what was he up to
Pre he ate fleas
But they don't have
the boys don't have fleas.
So I don't know where he got them.
Well, there's a lot of fleas in the pound.
I mean, I'm like, are we still dealing with stuff?
I thought I got him.
I've taken him to the vet truly 18 times since the big scare.
I'm like, I thought we have gotten everything, but no.
Man.
It took me a really long time to take his poop in.
That's why.
Oh, you should have seen me take Max's poop.
That was such a horrible evening for me.
Because obviously Max was like, sorry, y'all.
We've actually not talked about poop in a long time.
So just like...
It's fine if it's animal poop.
Yeah.
It was when he was...
It's when he was in his squirt era.
And he had squirted and I had to get that into a little tube and bring it in.
Doing it with cats is so easy because it's just like a little thing, a turd and litter already.
Oh, mine was on someone's rim of their tire.
So I had to...
While they're probably in the vicinity, I had to do it.
And Max obviously like didn't want to...
be next to his poop that he just shot with insane velocity at someone's rim and I'm scraping
it off their tire trying to find a water bottle just like squirt it.
It's just like that was a bad night for me.
Yeah, no.
It's never a good day when you have to collect your pet stool sample.
Let me just say that.
But it's going to, it always gets better.
It's always darkest before the.
Listen to what I was wanting to tell you.
Did you know that Annabelle, the.
haunted doll from the conjuring is real.
Israel.
Is a real doll.
Yeah, I heard that guy died.
Yeah.
So I had no idea that Annabelle was a cursed raggedy Ann doll that was possessed by the
spirit of a dead six year old girl.
She would literally slash people.
She would stand in the hallways when her owners got home.
She would slash people with her mind.
And I believe this.
like everyone was saying everyone was in agreement that came across
Annabel but it wasn't just like it was a few people that were like this doll's crazy
she was passed around and everyone was like she's slashing me
she's standing up so confusing that we wouldn't just burn something like that so I don't
know she's in the museum she was recently on a press tour or something like that she didn't
want to do a brick and Connor that's that's cool oh interesting didn't want to do
working Connor. Okay. She was recently on a tour, a press tour with this guy and the guy just died.
What did he die from? The autopsy is not back, but he just died. I could see this being like
some freak that's just like obsessed with horror being like, I'm going to kill him. And then I'll just act like it was the doll.
You mean you think he was poisoned? There were no signs of foul play. I'm sure there weren't because Netflix
has a lot of money. I don't know why I'm not usually like this. I believe in this doll.
And I would be very hesitant if I were you to question her. She's just out there. That's so
crazy to me. I had no idea she was real. What? Why did she hate him? She is a malevolent spirit.
She's filled with hate. Oh, that is so disappointing. She should talk to my therapist.
Her first owners wanted to keep her, but they were like, we're fine if she wants to, like, be alive in a spirit.
But the issue was that she was malevolent.
Oh, it's always malevolency.
And you know what sucks?
She shouldn't talk to my therapist because you know what he would tell her?
Just do it.
Yeah.
I assume.
I'm like, that's where we've gotten.
But I, wait, so was the spirit that the doll is haunted by was a real young woman?
Yeah, a young girl that had died.
What did this young woman die from?
That's a good question.
It's a truthful question, too, as well.
I'm just, I think it's crazy that it was a raggedy ann doll.
I expected it to be like a more, like, niche.
But isn't this, this raggedy Ann?
Isn't she like life size for some reason?
No, I don't think she's life size.
Okay, Annabel is a character.
Yeah, I don't know.
Okay, well, it's okay to give up.
Yeah, I agree.
I don't really want to talk about a malevolent spirit as to like close out the podcast today.
But like, whoa.
Isn't that wild?
It makes me uncomfortable.
Obviously, this is like a developing story.
I wonder if he like choked on a grape or something, you know?
And then we're just going to be like, okay.
Like you could tell that at the scene.
If he choked on a grape.
Yeah, they have no.
His like heart just gave out.
You know that that's something I think about almost probably several times a week.
Um, is like if I choked in my apartment by myself, like,
I'm just dead.
I have been choking at least 16 times a day.
And sometimes while on FaceTime with my mom.
And she's like freaks out because I've been getting, uh, the miracle garlic
noodles from Airwan.
And they're so chewy.
And they get stuck right in the middle of my throat.
And I have to just sit there for a while like like, like, you know, like con like pulling them.
No, not like that.
But like, you know when you're like pulling something back up?
Yeah.
I keep having to do that with the miracle garlic noodles.
And sometimes it's like quite the scene.
And there was one time where I was like, this is not coming back up.
This is the end.
Oh, Brooke, to do the autopsy, me like, it was the miracle garlic garlic noodles from marijuana.
They would have been able to tell, like from their initial search that he had a garlic
stuck in his throat.
I'm talking about yours.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, that would be disappointing.
It is something I think about, Brooke, we need to learn the Heinleck.
Like, because you can do self.
Harmlich. It's so crazy that we don't all know CPR. And even when I was CPR certified from
health class, I didn't know it. I knew it for five seconds when I had to do the test.
Like that should be how you like check into a homeroom every morning is like do CPR on the person
next to you and then go to go to class. Yeah, I agree. Who was your health teacher?
All of them were gym teachers slash coaches in some capacity.
I wonder why that is like the obvious answer.
Because they exercise probably,
like regularly.
But like what qualifies them to be doing like sex ed?
Because they've probably had sex.
It's so mind-guiding to me like that will,
that will always blow my mind that I was probably,
I'm probably the same age as a teacher that was like coaching
and telling me about sex.
I have,
there have been so many,
I don't want to talk about it actually.
Could you imagine telling a person that,
was, let me think how old I was when we did sex at 13. Could you imagine telling a 13 year old,
like explaining erections and like wearing a condom and, uh, period, like periods? I would be fine doing
the like period and stuff like that and puberty I'd be fine with. I would not feel
vulnerable talking about sex. That was the funniest day of all of grade school for me. It was just like,
we are giggle shits like it was the funniest thing like we kind of all I think we all knew
what it was and I think that they had given us the talk like way too late because I remember
going into being like oh my god like they're not about to talk about this right like we know oh no
we got it in like fourth grade yeah I think ours was like sixth yeah it's late so it was it was
like people were definitely giving handies by then just gross that's young I was
I'm still kissing my Zach Efron posters.
Yeah, I know.
I think that that was happening way too early in my school.
But that's just like how the cookie was fingered, you know?
Yes, exactly.
I do know.
Did you have a question box in health class?
Not that I know.
Probably, now that I think about it, was it like an anonymous?
Yeah.
I don't think so.
Why?
Did something happen with yours?
I mean, I must have just put like 16 questions in there per class.
Per sash.
Yeah.
Very curious.
So I posted a thing that was like a question box on B&C that said, tell me something
that you didn't understand and now it's way too late or you're way too embarrassed to like ask
or like tell other people that you don't get.
That's a really good question, Connor.
Thanks.
I was really racking my brain last night.
Couldn't think of anything.
I said, I'll just think about this while I fall.
sleep, fell asleep, woke up, was like, this is a good one. Now, we're all very much, like,
using the same, we're all on the same train of thought. It was, it was funny and also crazy how
many people were like my job. Like, I don't know what I do. I don't know how. And, like,
when I think about that, it's so weird to look back at, like, my six weeks of my job or, like,
three months I've gone by my job. And I was like, what have I been doing? Yeah. Even though I was doing,
like, dated. I'm.
in the office every single day, 8 a.m. to 6, what have I been up to? What do I tell my parents
I've been doing? How did I get this job? Yeah. Where am I? Who are you people?
No one understands their job. Now, some were, somewhere interesting. One young man asked,
what's up with the labia menorah? I don't know. What do you mean what's up with them?
I don't know how, yeah, I'm confused by that question. Um,
How about you tell us, Connor?
I don't, like, we need to, we don't have enough time, you know, like, I don't.
I think we do.
I don't know, man.
And then two young women back to back said, honestly, the female anatomy, I'm 27 and I have
no idea where the clit is.
And the next one was, I'm a woman and I don't understand the anatomy of my body,
like uterus and all.
So that that was, that was, not understanding the internals, the,
external it's like just like go look in a mirror um okay let me think someone said i recently learned
i should be changing my sheets i'm 23 yeah that that i'm wondering how that one slipped through the cracks
and i have no idea i don't know i can't get a read on this person because i understand making
the conscious effort not to but like i don't understand not knowing that it's something you should be
doing
Yeah, that calls into question for me.
What else don't you know?
Because that's kind of like a base layer.
Are you washing your towels?
Yeah.
How many uses do you get out of your towels before you wash them?
Mine?
They're self-cleaning.
Yeah.
You believe they're self-cleaning?
I'm asking if you believe they're self-cleaning.
No, I don't.
I have all of my, like, linens are all white.
So the second, there's any, like, or if I've used,
them a handful of times. I have enough towels where like, I'm never, I swap enough. And then once
they're all, they've all been used, I do a load. I would say I use mine maybe three times each.
Yeah. I probably about the same. Okay. Because I like them to be very crisp white. They just
become eternally damp after like the third use. I, I don't like my bathroom in my apartment. That's the
only qualm I have with my apartment besides some other stuff.
And there's no, there's no, like.
I'm going to start saying that. That's the only qualm I have except for some other things.
Yeah, I have an issue that like all the AC units are in the window. And because of that,
the windows open. And I just found out that because the windows open and it's so hot outside
that the same window that the AC is blowing into is also, it's pumping in hot air too from the
it's coming up their event and those are just like open to the outside and I can't figure out why
in my apartment all day unless I'm showering I am a little sweaty my aces on 68 right now
yeah um window units can be tough yeah I'm I just like I don't know if they're broken
it's hard for me to say yeah I don't know either maybe you should come check them out for me
I'll fly over um I was driving
by someone asked how do boats float i don't know i was driving by the intrepid which is that giant ship
that no longer is in service but you can go get on it and stuff i think in new york okay it's massive
it's made out of metal i've said this about planes well because it's hollow inside that it can float
i don't like truly not my realm of expertise it the fact that the royal caribbean um trying to
tranquility of the seas is floating.
I don't, I'll never understand it.
There's a theme park on there.
Like, how are you floating in the middle of the sea?
We're pushing it.
Like, I do not, it's just something that I'm fine.
Like, I don't understand it.
I'm fine not understanding it.
But in elementary school, did you ever do those experiments when you, like, just have
random materials and you have to figure out what floats and doesn't?
Yeah, that was fun.
That was really fun.
Oh, man.
I would still get a kick out of that.
building small replicas of stuff.
Like we had,
we had a water park project.
I don't know what lesson that was being taught there.
What was your water park project?
Like where we had to build slides and stuff,
but at a small scale.
And I loved it because I made the water.
I thought to make the water out of hot glue.
And I filled up a pool with hot glue and it looked like water.
And there's little people swimming in it.
Oh, that's so creative.
Thanks.
I was good at stuff like that.
It's weird.
Like I don't remember any part of my childhood,
but I remember one of my childhood.
but I remember one project me and my dad worked on.
I got Benjamin Franklin.
And when you opened my project,
Benjamin Franklin was over here.
And he had a string.
And the string was attached over here.
And the key was on it.
The lightning struck.
His kite was over here.
But it like,
he pulled it open and the string was like up in the air with it was cool.
Wow.
I don't understand what I meant by that now.
I can't have came.
No, but I just like,
know you were one of those kids that always had like a great like
dying.
I love that stuff.
Like I wish that I wish I was in a class right now where like, hey, you have a project
do at the end of the week.
You need to make a little thing.
I can't stress enough how I was the opposite of that.
We had this like science project where we had to make some sort of like food that
resembled a cell.
And like people came in with like cakes and like the inside was like a like ball of
chocolate that was the nucleus.
and all these crazy food things.
And I came in with a tortilla with an olive attached in the middle with a toothpick.
I could not get it together.
That's so funny.
And then we had the state project too where everyone got a state.
And you had to make like some sort of project based on your state.
And people had these like gorgeous like clay sculptures or like I don't know.
Just like really cool stuff.
And I had Nebraska.
and I drew in permanent marker corn on a shirt and wore the shirt.
Like I literally don't have that part of my brain intact.
That's insane.
I wouldn't I wouldn't peg you as that person.
I know.
It's so weird.
I couldn't do projects like that, creative projects.
Oh my gosh.
And I'm so project brand.
Yeah.
Like give me a book report.
Give me a poster board.
Like I loved poster boards
But not like
Like 3D projects
Besides poster boards
People are going to be like
Oh you liked projects
Like do a pottery glass
Do paint and sip
I don't want it to be like
Everyone's doing the same thing
I want to challenge
I'm competitive
Like I do want to kick someone's ass
With my solar system
Diorama
I want to win
Like it's like
I will figure out a way
To be creative
I want a level playing field to start
But I want to blow
the shit out of the water.
I love that.
I love that energy.
It's fun.
Oh my gosh.
I just got like fired up.
That would be really fun to do like an adult science fair.
A science fair?
Like serve my like alcohol infused milktails.
Yeah.
And like you walk around through an auditor or a gym and it's like someone has the volcano.
Yeah.
And someone has like the ant farm.
And someone has like other.
gravity, I don't know.
And you like see how they demonstrate all these things.
Yeah, that would be really fun to do as a group of adults.
What is that,
that thing that like is on and on,
the Ruth Bader Ginsburg machine or whatever?
Or you drop a marble and it just like goes and goes and goes.
I see it in my mind's eye.
I don't have the name for it.
But I want you to know, I see it.
Okay.
You hear me.
You see me.
Yeah.
Okay.
Someone said, I don't get digital storage.
No, you have to get behind me.
It is, yeah, well, it's, the cloud is one thing, but also, like, I don't get how, like,
am I going to be paying for storage, additional storage for the rest of my life?
You know, like, I keep running out.
Are they going to keep making, like, bigger amounts of storage?
I'm not going to delete old photos.
They are going to keep doing that.
I think that's a money grab.
I mean, it's, I'll pay it indefinitely.
That's, like, storage.
That's, like, because some photos are worth more than physical objects you have in your
storage unit right now, you know?
Yeah.
And videos.
It's like people's whole childhoods.
Ooh, that would be so scary.
Like, obviously probably first, yeah, definitely first world problems here.
But like, could you imagine if like Google Drive or something got hacked and like they just
still, they just wiped everyone's photos from like, since we started taking photos on iPhones?
No, I know.
We should still be doing photo albums, like physical ones.
We should still be printing.
Yeah.
printing and saving.
That would also like help clean up on it because you couldn't print 16 of the same photo.
You'd pick one.
Here's something I don't understand.
Okay.
Why are there like so few copies of ebooks at libraries?
Like you have to get on a wait list to check out an ebook.
That I can't answer because I didn't know that.
Yeah.
And it's like, sorry, it's the copies out right now.
We'll let you know when it's back.
just like send me another one.
Maybe because the library purchases it and they're like loaning.
Yeah, I guess it's just like intellectual property that they purchased.
But just copy and paste.
Yeah.
Did you know I was so cheap in college and I was out of iPhone storage that I would borrow
someone's textbook and I would take like a picture of every single page for every chapter.
I think that makes sense.
For that test.
And I would study by zooming in on an iPhone.
phone screen and reading it like that.
Yeah.
And I was probably saving like $28.
Yeah, that's
makes sense.
Not that I was so cheap, I was just so broke.
Yeah.
But I still have all those photos in my
sometimes I scroll and I was like, why is, they're like
17 scrolls of like just pages of a book.
I was like, oh.
Fun memories.
Geography.
That's sweet.
Calculus.
that I failed.
I don't think I ever made it to calculus.
It was the hardest class I took in college.
They passed me too.
And I was like,
it was my,
I think it was my third time taking it.
And the professor just knew me by name.
I tried so hard to pass.
And I think she was just like,
you cannot come back.
Like it's too sad.
And I think she passed me because of that.
And it's like,
what if I would have graduated with an engineering degree
and I built a bridge
and then people died?
That'd be your fault, professor, because I did not deserve to pass this class.
Were you on track to be an engineer at that point?
Oh, God, yeah.
I shouldn't have been, but yeah, I was.
No, I believe in, I guess I believe in failing people.
Yeah, they should, people should fail.
Yeah.
Not everyone is cut out to pass.
I wasn't.
Okay.
I don't understand how a microwave can cook something that usually takes 30 minutes in the oven in two minutes.
this is something that I've thought about for a long time.
My mom's like hypersensitive to stuff like this.
Like I remember there was one point where she was like,
we're not using the microwave anymore.
Because it like nukes it.
It like nukes it.
But it's crazy that these people like the make America healthy again,
people haven't like been like we're actually not doing microwaves anymore.
A lot of people aren't doing microwaves.
Really?
Yeah.
Oh, this hasn't come across my death.
Yeah. Oh, there's a lot of anti-microwave stuff going around.
Wow. Well, now it will because we said it out loud.
But like, I'm a little bit wary of microwaves. Like, we do kind of blindly trust microwaves.
Things do taste better when they come from the oven.
Yeah.
Like when you have like a frozen mac and cheese and it's like you can do two minutes in the microwave or 30 minutes in the oven, it will taste better if you do 30 minutes in the oven.
I'm going to do the two minutes in the microwave.
I know. I think like, yeah, I do envy people that are like, no, I can,
wait.
Yeah.
No, yeah.
That's not on,
that's not in my food.
I will say I got like a ninja
microwave oven thing.
It's like this big and I'm using it.
It is so superior to both the microwave and
my normal,
I almost called it as a stick and poke.
My normal air fryer.
How'd you get stick and poke?
I'd no idea how my brain does anything.
But I love it so much.
which it's been really tickling my...
Really serving you.
Tickling my body.
All right, man.
Well, we can do the rest in the bone.
Okay.
We can do that.
It was a really nice talking to you and hope to just talk to you again soon.
Yeah, that would be special.
I'll consider it in about 10 minutes.
Okay.
Okay, see you soon.
Thank you guys for listening.
Let me take a little word to the folks out there at home.
Um, um, um, um, um, amaste.
Yeah, take that with you.
Okay. Bye guys. We'll see you in the bonus.
Thank you.
