Starting point is 00:01:18 No ID, prescription, or age requirement. It's the number one OBGYN recommended brand of emergency contraception, and it won't impact your future fertility. That's Freedom to Be. views us directed. I had a therapist, my first therapist appointment on Friday, and I was sitting in my Papsum chair. And we were talking about like, I was obviously sobbing and we were talking about like how I like have
Starting point is 00:01:43 these like deep feelings of shame. And then I'll, I feelings of shame. And then I lean back just to like make myself more comfortable as I'm sobbing. And I can feel myself completely starting to fall. I'm clutching my computer. my computer is over my head at this point. I'm holding it over my head so that it doesn't come crash into the ground. I'm falling. I literally say I'm falling as I'm falling. My air pod falls out of my ear. So the sound disconnects and I'm just completely rolling in this turtle shell. I've completely hit the floor at this point. I'm rolling in the turtle shell on the ground. My computer is like suspended in the air. I can't hear her because my air pod fell out. And I was like absolutely mortified. and we were on the conversation of like how I get super embarrassed really quickly really easily so and I was like the rest of the session I I was sitting on the couch like the chair was like in disarray on the floor and I had like completely disassociated so she's getting like a good taste of like right off the bat and I think that's I mean you just efficiency I think like that was an intervention right from God to be like this is like who you're dealing with at this time I don't think that's a bad thing at all no I don't think so either and I only started crying harder once I hit the floor Right.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Yeah. Brooke, did you see this morning? I have to start. I want to just say we're so stoked. This is incredible news we just got that we are actually on the charts top 10 podcasts. Thank you. Seriously. Thank you guys for watching and reviewing.
Starting point is 00:03:38 And if you haven't yet, you can go ahead and like and review on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, anywhere you listen to podcasts. Brooke and Connor make a podcast. BNC. MAP. on Instagram. Everywhere. All the above. All platforms.
Starting point is 00:03:52 And we just really seriously love you. Yeah. So it was incredible feedback. I think obviously people know that I need 100% positive feedback oral spiral. Right. Connor came in this morning. It was like, did you guys see we made the top 10 charts? That's okay, right?
Starting point is 00:04:07 That's good. And we were like, yeah, Connor, that is okay. Yeah. Right. Well, I mean, it's not as okay as being nine or eight. Right. But we'll get there. If you guys can please intentionally subscribe or unintentionally subscribe.
Starting point is 00:04:23 For Connor's sake, please. That would really, really help my... His overall mental health, which is... For better or for worse. The one piece of feedback that I think we got the most on the first episode is that we did not introduce ourselves at all. Right. And that's partially my bad. Right.
Starting point is 00:04:43 But it's mostly Cody's fault. No offense. Cody at all Cody Co. And I don't mean to throw him under the bus at all. But the weekend before we started recording the podcast, I was at Cody and Kelsey's house and I was kind of just like sitting alone on the couch. And Cody came up to me and was like,
Starting point is 00:04:59 how are you feeling about the podcast next week? And I was like, I feel pretty good, a little nervous. And he said if I could give you one piece of advice that I think will just like absolutely make your life so much easier in the podcast so much better, it would be pretend you've been doing this forever. Right. Like, don't do that quirky, like, oh, like, this is our first time recording a podcast.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Like, oh, look at the, look at the mic. Look at my headphones. So I was like, okay, got it. Thank you, Cody. I promise I will do that. I will make you proud. So Brooke calls me and is like, we need to make sure, like, almost like shock people and make them think that they've been listening for years.
Starting point is 00:05:37 And so we didn't do any sort of intro. And then I was telling Connor, like, right before we started recording, I was like, remember, we've been doing this for years. Then Ryan, he's kind of in charge of this whole thing came in. And it was like, hey, guys, just like, one. little piece of feedback. Just if you could kind of pretend you've been doing this for years and like it is not your first podcast and we were like, okay, got it. I don't think I even said my name. I went right. I don't think we said our names. I went right into how the green M&M is
Starting point is 00:06:00 being slot shamed. Right. So, and that needed to be talking about. So yeah, that was more important in our intro. But today I think we will maybe give you a little bit of information on who we are. Just a little bit of background. Just a little bit of background that you did not get in the first episode. I think just kick it off Well my name is Brooke I was born at 4 p.m. Oh don't don't give people that Because they'll look up your birth chart
Starting point is 00:06:24 And then they can use that against you I'm pretty sure is what I'm seeing on Twitter I don't mind Although I will say I'm a Gemini and that's like apparently Not good at all Do you know anything about that? I have a big amount of respect for it For it
Starting point is 00:06:39 I'm just like not aware And sometimes it's better to be Well I'm going back, I was born at 4 p.m. in Woodwood, Pennsylvania. That's a suburb of Philadelphia. And I went to the same teeny tiny school for 15 years. And then I decided to branch out and go to a really big school for college. I went to school in Boston, Boston University. And I absolutely hated it, which is something that we don't have in common. I hated college. You love college. You can talk about that when it's your turn to introduce yourself. Cool.
Starting point is 00:07:11 And then I taught preschool for two years back in Philly, which I feel like a lot of people might not know. And then I hated that as well. Love the kids, but hated mostly everything else. And then when COVID happened, March 2020, we were virtual. So I was virtually teaching preschoolers. So basically just zooming with their parents every morning while the kids ate breakfast. and I was just so bored that I downloaded TikTok, which I said I would never do,
Starting point is 00:07:46 and then, you know, got to scrolling, and then eventually made a video myself, which was me reading a letter I had written myself in sixth grade. So in sixth grade, we had an assignment to write your 12th grade self a letter, and our sixth grade teacher would hand deliver it to us on graduation day. I remember that. Yeah, so I read that.
Starting point is 00:08:09 that letter that I had written my 12th grade self on TikTok. And then that kind of blew up, which was really exciting. And I had never had any sort of experience with the video blowing up. And I thought it was a one-off thing. But I kept reading my diary entries and people were liking it. And then once my diary entries were gone, I thought, this is the end. Oh, and at that point, I had quit my job after one viral video. I was going to say that my important takeaway, I think, Brooke's first couple of videos were like million views, two million views, four million views, two million views. It was just like insane and I remember the first time I talked to her. She was like yeah, I got one viral video and I quit. Yeah, I mean I was not I was miserable and then this was like one like I think Jesus took the wheel. I think Jesus took the wheel and then I was like okay. I am I like emailed my boss and I was like hi I have a viral video on TikTok and so at this point I will be moving forward with quitting this job and to pursue to pursue TikToking. And I got really nervous because once I ran out of diary entries, I was like, what am I going to do? And then I think I just like started answering people's questions.
Starting point is 00:09:21 And then now here we are two years later. And the rest is history. But I brought that journal entry that I had originally read if you want me to read. Oh, really? Yeah. I would love that. I would love that. Okay. Let me just get my...
Starting point is 00:09:36 Get this example. This is the first thing I put. posted. This is the letter I had written myself. This is your first TikTok. This is my first TikTok, but it's going to be a... That catapulted you into your career. But it is going to be... Who would have known the letter you wrote to yourself in sixth grade? I know. Would catapult your career. I know. Isn't that kind of crazy? That's really something. Wow. Um, that's an act of God. This is going to be, I'm going to be reading this pretty slowly because there's a lot that needs to be censored out of this because I was just so unhinged as a sixth grader. And there's just like a lot of
Starting point is 00:10:09 like stuff about like the throes of puberty that you don't need to hear. I saw it been 15. Yeah, it's like you don't need to hear it. But I will say I had my mom look for this last night frantically and I had taped it into my other journal, which was just like 300 pages of I hate my mom. I hate my mom. So my poor mom had to scour through all of those pages to find this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:35 But she was able to say there. Her finger is in most of these pages. pictures, but I'll do the best I can. Okay, this is dated May 23rd, 2008. Wow. Okay, dear Brooke, oi. Sixth grade has so much drama. So true. Literally so true. You're probably thinking, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, little me, you have absolutely no idea. So here it is. And this is a bullet pointed list of all the drama. I like Justin. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, wait. Should I, Justin, your friend? No, no, no, different Justin, different Justin. Um, should I be saying the Yeah, it's fine. It's far removed enough that it's okay. Hi, Justin. I hope no one digs into Brooks'
Starting point is 00:11:16 sixth grade class roster. Yeah. Justin is going out with Becca. Are they still dating? Question Mark? Thor really likes me, but I don't really like him, but I do kind of want to go out with someone to be more popular. Parentheses, how shallow am I? And parentheses. And then a little bullet point on the side. I will not do this. I want to do. this, but I am not going to. David Archiletta lost American Idol. He is my secret lover. Shh.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Ha ha, definitely not a secret. Now he's, you're, now we're friends. Brooke and him met in L.A. and have hung out several times. We did. We hung out,
Starting point is 00:11:57 and he is the sweetest boy in the entire world. If you guys want to see those videos of me and David, I'll find a way to get those to you. You fully have like, that journal might be magic. It is scary. It is scary. That's freaky.
Starting point is 00:12:11 I did. I do think I manifested a lot of things because I also had this journal where to answer one question every day for five years. And the question, one of the questions was how famous do you want to be? And my answer was niche internet celebrity. So I think there's like something like magic conchelle about. I was like, frogs. Yeah. I think that would be my journal entry.
Starting point is 00:12:35 I do think there's some sort of manifestation going on. But anyway, back to the letter. Right now I'm sitting in Miss Gunther's classroom. Our assignment is to write a letter to ourselves, and we will get at our senior year at graduation. How cool is that, extremely? I kind of don't even know where to begin. Dot, dot, dot, dot, dot.
Starting point is 00:12:51 So this is kind of sad. Yesterday I went to visit Grandpa and the hospital. I'm literally such a drama queen. I said, Grandpa, I love you, wake up, and he opened his eyes. Yeah, and he lived for another seven years, and he was not supposed to. So again, you're kind of freaking me out.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Manifesting. Yeah. Right now, me and Jenner and Jerome are kind of just sitting in the library. We're having a lot of fun and talking about our friends in a bad way. Well, thanks for asking who my friends are. They are. And then a list of every single person at migrate. Are they still my friends?
Starting point is 00:13:27 Question mark. And there's a star next to everyone who is BFF and then a checkmark just a regular friend. and then an X next to I don't like them at all. Just in case you were needing kind of a key. Wow. Yeah. That's, did you get your period yet?
Starting point is 00:13:46 Right now, I'm a size 34A bra, but I hope to grow. Dot, dot, dot, a lot. And I'll be skipping over this part. My birthday is so soon. June 18th, I'll be 12. I'm one of the youngest in my grade. Sometimes I act immature,
Starting point is 00:14:03 but I am not. I am very immature. for my grade. Okay, well, right now I'm in math class. I am really bad at math. I did not get into the smart class. Okay, now I'm in French class, and now here's a list of who's dating.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Okay, and then here's a list of who's dating. I won't bore you with the details. And then I was wondering, are they still dating? And I don't think any of those couples are still together. It's very introspective, the way that you wrote and then answered your own questions. And then I can't tell if you were predicting the future,
Starting point is 00:14:35 even though you're writing it in real time and then saying, are they still dating? Asking my 12th grade self, but here's a... Oh! Yeah. Do you kind of remember the whole plot? Yeah, no, I lost you like halfway through, to be honest. Yeah, you're fine.
Starting point is 00:14:47 I started thinking about. So right now, I'm in the back of my mom's car, parentheses, red Toyota, and I just got my haircut. I am looking so sexy. I have some questions for you. Are you a virgin? Kisser virgin?
Starting point is 00:15:00 If so, that is so pathetic. Do you have a BF? Are you still Jewish? that's a yeah that was the one line that everyone was like what and i don't know exactly what i meant by that but um did any of my bf sleeves school um do you drink ohmg can you drive now is there some sort of hover car in the future that would be literally sick are you tall yet right now i'm four eight and hoping to grow you grew four inches that sure did congrats thanks are you a writer which is really interesting because no rider like horses no
Starting point is 00:15:35 writer. T. Writer. Okay. Where do you go to college? You are kind of a writer. I can write a sentence or two if I really needed to. Where do you go to college?
Starting point is 00:15:48 Ew. Okay. It's the period before language arts and this is due. I don't want to go, but I have to. And then this is like a really, I love this part. I love you, comma. Love you, comma. Me, comma.
Starting point is 00:16:04 I, comma. us comma Brooke. So to answer your question, am I a writer? Yes. And then, okay, seriously don't want to go, but remember, live above the influence. And that's it. And that's the letter. That went well.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Yeah. That was fantastic. Thank you, Connor. And so that was the letter that. So that was the letter that I had first read on my TikTok. Right. Which got an unexpected amount of views. And it wasn't that long of a performance I had cut.
Starting point is 00:16:35 that down. So that was kind of an extended version. Okay. But then I kept reading other letters from a different diary or other just journal entries about, you know, my crush. Yeah. We know, we all know that I, when I get a crush, it's like, oh, end of the world. Right. So people were loving that.
Starting point is 00:16:53 And then that's it. I ran out of journal entries. And then that's been sad. And then you start answering questions. And I started answering. Now you're writing, Brooke now writes like bits and like does skits and bits. Skits and fun little, fun little event. I also wanted to tell you something about these chairs, but that's kind of off topic.
Starting point is 00:17:12 I think we could, well, we could do that. Okay. We want to talk about the chairs? If you're just listening on audio, we got these Papsum chairs that are very much like cavernous. They're like a turtle shell kind of, like a scooped out like, uh, Tostito chip kind of. Tostito bowl chip. Tocito bowl chip.
Starting point is 00:17:30 And then they're like, there's a stand kind of. kind of that they're propped up on. But, and ours are taped up somehow so they don't roll, but they do. So tell me about what happened with your passion. Mine, I have one at home. And it like kind of rolls around. So speaking of therapy, which is better help sponsoring this video. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:17:50 I had a therapist, my first therapist appointment on Friday. And I was sitting in my Papsum chair. And we were talking about like, I was obviously sobbing. And we were talking about like how I like have. these like deep feelings of shame and then all I feelings of shame and then I lean back just to like make myself more comfortable as I'm sobbing and I can feel myself completely starting to fall I'm clutching my computer my computer is over my head at this point I'm holding it over my head so that it doesn't come crash into the ground I'm falling I literally say I'm falling as I'm falling my air pod
Starting point is 00:18:29 falls out of my ear so the sound disconnects and I'm just completely rolling in this turtle shell. I've completely hit the floor at this point. I'm rolling in the turtle shell on the ground. My computer is like suspended in the air. I can't hear her because my AirPods fell out and I
Starting point is 00:18:45 was like absolutely mortified and we were on the conversation of like how I get super embarrassed really quickly really easily and I was like the rest of the session I was sitting on the couch like the chair was like in disarray on the floor and I had like completely disassociated.
Starting point is 00:19:00 So she's getting like a good taste of like right off the bat and I think that's, I mean, you just efficiency. I think like that was an intervention from God to be like this is like who you're dealing with at this time. I don't think that's a bad thing at all. No, I don't think so either. And I only started crying harder once I hit the floor. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Right. Yeah. Yeah. But it gets worse before it gets better. Sure. Sure. Seriously. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Yeah. Anyway, that's a little bit about me. I mean, it's phenomenal. to watch, you know, you did your diary entry. You went and you were a teacher and then TikTok took the reins. Yeah. And then now we're sitting here. We're sitting here.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Look at us. It is. Look at us. And then Brooke and I are also like we have the same team over at our agency. Yes, that's true. Which was also just like. I got really lucky because we were both just TikToking and not working a typical job as I had quit after one video.
Starting point is 00:19:57 I got, well, I had a very different story. Right. And we'll get to that. But we were both not working a typical job and that's how we, you know, kind of bonded. And then we got reached out to by the same team at UTA. Right. And Brooke was like, so like now should I like move to L.A. And they were like, no, you really need to move to L.A. And I was like, okay. So I'm taking that as yes. So I will be there in 10. Yeah. Yeah. I already lived in L.A. Let me start. Where are you born? Where are you from? Let me, let me, my parents met. Yeah. And. I'm just, I'm not going to do that. They actually met, is it fascinating? So my mom, I'm just going to tell the story. I do, this is a good story. My mom would go with her friends.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Like, it's like so weird. They would go hang out at the bar. Like, this was, my dad was a pilot. And my mom would go with her friends and they would hang out at this bar where the pilots would come in and hang out. She had the right idea. Come on, girls. It's like a very Chenaya Twain-esque. I'm picturing it like Top Gun.
Starting point is 00:20:56 It was when Top Gun came out. So pilots were like everything in the sort of like studs Like landing in like leather jacket The wings the aviator glasses And would just go to bars and pick up women I didn't need to spit when I said that But you did and we're moving on Anyways they fell in love and then they had me
Starting point is 00:21:15 I went to UT Austin in Texas grew up in Texas I was working at Bumble for a little bit And then got I moved on To Bird And then I moved on moved on as well from there.
Starting point is 00:21:29 I got let go from both. But, um, anywho, sorry for it every day. But the pandemic stepped in and said, you're just going to go ahead and be unemployed now, which gave me so much time to focus on doing TikToks. On the things that really matter.
Starting point is 00:21:44 On the things that really matter. I. I mean, dancing in your kitchen. Yeah. And it was, it was really funny because I would be doing interviews for jobs and they would come on. And a lot of times the people that are interviewing you,
Starting point is 00:21:54 at least first round are these like recruiters that are your age. Right. And they'd be like, oh my God, I just saw you talking about like, crack. Crack and chlamydia on TikTok. Like, I don't think this is a match. And I was like, really? That is shocking news. Okay, thank you.
Starting point is 00:22:11 I interviewed for 48 jobs during the pandemic. I ended up with zero. And that's just how life works. Actually, I ended up with one that I'd never had to interview for. A creator. Uh-huh. And so here we are now. I was, like I said, already living in L.A.
Starting point is 00:22:27 So Brooke and I met here. But that's us. I'm actually out of breath from talking. I know that a lot of people requested a little bit of an intro. So I hope that was over the top. And that now you know us and you love us. Right. And so now this pod is going to be everything of the sort.
Starting point is 00:22:44 It's going to be we're talking pop culture. We're talking current events. We got a lot of comments on it. We have an opinion on everything. We sure do. Which is crazy. And we could just talk and talk and talk. And one thing that I want to talk about today.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Yes. I just want to dive right into this. Tell me. The war with Russia. Oh. Which, tell me your thoughts on that. Because I know that you're a big, a big current events politics. Right. You did mention to me last week that there was a war with Russia and another country that is.
Starting point is 00:23:16 Right. And what did you say? So I was going to say, it's with Ukraine. Right. And I was telling you because I was like, oh, Connor, seriously. Seriously. Like, that's not a country anymore. So she was thinking of the USSR.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Right, right. And that's okay. And thank God I have you seriously. I don't even, I didn't know about Ukraine. No. And I think, to be honest, I think my ancestors are from there. Where? Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:23:40 I'm pretty sure. Well, I know they're from Russia. I didn't, they're from Russia? I think so. That's like not any of my business because I literally can't have a conversation about Ukraine or Russia because I don't know where either of them are. I think that they are. Or anything about them. Russia is.
Starting point is 00:23:57 I think Asia and Europe, which is unique. I don't think Russia is Asia and Europe, because those are three separate continents. Russia is not a continent, and it is Asia and Europe. Utah. So I think you should teach me where. I can't tell you where in Europe and Asia, but I know half is, because Russia is so big, half of it's in Asia, half of it's in Europe, and I cannot speak for Ukraine. Oh, okay. Oh, a map.
Starting point is 00:24:27 I'd like to zoom in on where. need to figure out where Russia would be... So you see that massive block of green? Yeah. I think that's Russia. Okay, so Russia's big. Right. So what's Ukraine?
Starting point is 00:24:38 That I'm asking you for details on that, for specifics. When you said like, it's not real, I was like, no, it's definitely real because I'm watching it. And there's, like, rumors that there's going to be, like, a draft. What are they fighting over? That's not... Probably stuff. I don't know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Maybe oil? Resources. Do other countries care about oil? Connor, you are? up the wrong tree. Holy smokes, bro. We need to maybe read something. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:06 So anyways, I just heard that there's a draft, and I was just thinking about the draft the other day. And like the thing about a draft is I'm thinking about, like, okay, who's getting drafted first? And I was kind of thinking, I was like, I either need to be the first to be drafted or not at all because I don't want to like get invited, like as an after thought.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Yeah, after it's trendy. Yeah, I'm not going to go unless I get invited first. Can I ask you, are women being drafted? Do you know? That's a really good question, Brooke. And I'm going to say as a feminist, yeah. Because I will say a few things. Of course, I'm a feminist. Goes without saying, have you not seen my shirt?
Starting point is 00:25:45 It says, it's a picture of Pete Davidson's, and it says, I was raised to cook and clean for my husband. And this is my favorite shirt, and I have it in Pete Davidson and in Harry Styles. and this is by Bug Girl 200 who's just like the sweetest girl in the whole world who makes these amazing shirts. But anyway, obviously I'm a feminist. I was raised to cooking clean for my husband.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Insert photo of Pete Davis in here and I have the same shirt with Harry Styles on it as well. Totally. So don't tell me I'm not a feminist. I didn't, but you are going to be drafted if there's a draft. So, and let me counter as to why I shouldn't be drafted. I die in six seconds.
Starting point is 00:26:20 I actually was thinking about this one I couldn't sleep last night about me and the Hunger Games. I wouldn't make it off of that like that thing that they get raised onto and then it explodes in 10 seconds I think I just I wouldn't even make I lift up and I just wouldn't even jump off I'd just explode
Starting point is 00:26:39 before they got to zero that being said Connor this was I was also thinking about this when I couldn't sleep if I did end up making it off of that exploding thing and I swam to the cornucopia, et cetera, in Hunger Games, I think I could, with my winning personality, make an alliance,
Starting point is 00:27:01 and then I think I would probably be so annoying because I'd probably have a crush on PETA and be sobbing about how he doesn't like me back while everybody else is fending for their lives, that my own team would kill me. That's what I think. I'm a hider. I'm jumping off,
Starting point is 00:27:18 I'm running straight to the woods. I'm not going to get one weapon. I was thinking you could charm yourself to the top in the Hunger Games. Yeah, but I'm going to wait until the beginning, the drama plays out a little bit. You know who I'm like? Who?
Starting point is 00:27:30 Rue. Uh-huh. And I'm not talking to you for you. No, no, no. But we will, but not right now. Yeah. Rue's a hider. She's a hider.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Yeah. And I always saw all of myself and her. Yeah. And then she just end up dying. I think you could do really well on the Hunger Games. I'm not going to lie to myself. But I do know that like if I was kidnapped or say like there was some sort of coup, um,
Starting point is 00:27:50 coop of sorts. And I don't know in what situation I would be in a coup. But I think that I could be like, you know that thing? What's that, what's that, what's that, what's that, uh, syndrome? Yeah. Mm-hmm. Fully that's me.
Starting point is 00:28:03 I would have Stockholm syndrome in one second. I'm like, no guilt associated. I'm like, yeah, no, I'm on your side now. And what do you want me to do? I mean, I would be in love with my kidnap. I'm sure. You know, like, kiss you or, like, we could hang out. Like, I don't really care.
Starting point is 00:28:16 Like, at that point, we're best. friends and I agree on all points. But what I was going to say, so the draft, I just like, not really interested unless I can go first. That's completely fair. And I'm not interested in general. I am curious who we're fighting because I don't really know. Are we fighting?
Starting point is 00:28:35 No, you just said it was Russia and Ukraine. No, I'm so sorry. I saw Biden as sending troops there. I don't. I think. I've been having really weird dreams, so I might have dreamed that. I don't know. Biden has troops on standby.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Biden has troops on standby. just received a message. You received a message? Yep. Transmission. From Biden. Via my headphone. It was maybe Biden himself.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Then he was true. So that's, and that's probably where the draft rumors come from. Right. I don't think, like you're not a troop. No offense. I'm a trooper.
Starting point is 00:29:08 I have such a bad stomach cake right now. I know. I haven't said a word about it. That's why I'm sitting the way that I'm sitting. I'm at like a, whoa. Did you hear my voice that all time? I'm at like a 60 degree angle.
Starting point is 00:29:22 You look cozy. No. If you guys aren't watching the video, Connor is lounging right now. I'm in socks and Birkenstocks. And I kept thinking my Birkenstocks got stolen, but it's my friends keep hiding them because they're embarrassing to them. So I would not complain if I were you because you hid my favorite sweater of all time
Starting point is 00:29:45 in a place where I couldn't reach it. I don't like shirt, but it's It was like this cozy Sherpa sweatshirt I had had for years and it was just like the perfect amount worn in and the perfect amount warm. And Connor thought it looked like a blanket and he had hit it in a really high cabinet.
Starting point is 00:30:03 She can't reach. That I couldn't reach. And it was at our Airbnb we were staying at when we lived together and I just was never able to secure that back. Yeah. So for next episode, Connor will be purchasing me a new Sherpa or he will or he will be canceled
Starting point is 00:30:21 sorry to tell you that Connor it's fine yeah so have you been playing Wordle at all? No no it has changed my life I love this is like chapter 20 of COVID like when we all unite on something and just collectively do it
Starting point is 00:30:37 it's a word game you're not big on puzzles and word games are you because I'm really competitive well this is just playing against yourself not even I don't get it Well it's basically It's a five-letter word
Starting point is 00:30:50 It's any five-letter word And you go in And you just guess a five-letter word And if The letters are right It'll tell you Like let's say I guess M
Starting point is 00:31:02 If the word starts with an M It'll be the M will be green So it's like there is an M in this word And it is in this spot So it's green Okay And then So there's right answer
Starting point is 00:31:13 I don't get like There is a word every day there is a new five-letter word that everybody is trying to guess. Okay. So you start by guessing a random five-letter word and it's going to tell you, okay, if this letter is green
Starting point is 00:31:24 of the word you just guessed, this is the right letter in the right spot. If this letter is yellow, it's the right letter in the wrong spot. And if it's gray, this letter is not used in the word. I think this is more of a visual thing and I'm not really picking up what you're putting out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Are you seeing, let's say my first guess was weary. Sure. The green... Oh, there's a W in it. The green W is telling us there is a W in it, and it's in that spot. Oh. But if I guessed, what is that word? Pills? It's saying there's an eye in that word because it's yellow, but the eye is not in that spot.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Okay, okay, cool. I get it. So you kind of just move forward with guessing one word. It'll give you green, yellow, or gray. And you have a certain amount of guesses or what? Yeah, you have one, two, three, four, five. And why has it taken the world by storm? This is these things about the pandemic that's been really hard for me.
Starting point is 00:32:11 As like someone that I feel like I'm pretty. in tune with what's happening but then all of a sudden there's this thing that everyone's been doing or the show that everyone's been watching. The shows are a big thing for me too. Like, I'm not starting season three of succession and everyone's watching. I'm like, how did you guys know to all start that at the same
Starting point is 00:32:28 time? Because everyone's on their phones. What group me is everyone in that like knows to start? I'm on Twitter. And then if you're not seeing Wordle, I don't know what Twitter you're on. I know I've been seeing these squares. Yes, that's Wordle. But anyway, I'm really good at it, which I am really good at word games in general, and I'm pretty good at
Starting point is 00:32:48 Wordle. And I have not lost yet. You can lose, like, if you just don't get to the Word, which is absolutely terrifying. Like, the day I lose Whittal, like, you will need to find a new ghost. That's just not something that really appeals to you in anyway. How about Lutel? So Lutel I do know about. So Lutel, it's wordal, but just with cuss words or like sex and stuff?
Starting point is 00:33:09 Yeah, sex and cuss words. Sex and cuss words, two of my favorite things. But it's Lutle so much harder because with Wordle, like any word is game. But with Lutal, it's just like boobs, penis. And it's like I can't really. Yeah. It was Twots the other day, which was really hard. No, it has to be five letters, so it can't even be asked.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Every word has to be five letters in both of these games? Yeah. I kept guessing Vajas yesterday and they just would not accept it. Is that a word? No. I don't think so. Well, I think that's why they wouldn't accept it. Right.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Because it's a word game. Yeah. I'm just saying it was just, they were just not giving me anything. I guess Vagis was a bad example. And I kind of that just not being a word in any sort of dictionary. Okay, well, I mean, if you are saying that you can lose this game, then it's not going to be for me because I get frustrated. That's why I can't play Puppet anymore.
Starting point is 00:33:58 Oh, I don't. Yeah. Games like Puppet should be like pretty, like, chill and laid back. But that's against other people. You're not. I know it's a lot against yourself. Like Pupput and like Puput is like frustrated. If you start messing up on Puppet like I'm breaking my club over my knee.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Because it's like, why are you, once you start messing up, it's a mental game. If you are messing up or if the person you're playing is messing up. I can lose to someone else. It's like why, once you get in your head about something. When you say papa, do you mean mini golf? Yeah. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Anyways. So, okay, word'll, maybe I'll get on it. I don't know. I don't really care too. But it's also like everybody sends each other their scores every morning. So it's like a really beautiful experience to be. And someone's score is better than someone else's score. Not really. Not really.
Starting point is 00:34:42 it doesn't feel competitive because it's not like I guess there is some strategy but it's mostly just kind of luck with the word you start on so it doesn't feel like you're better at this than me okay okay moving on for me the other night so I guess Friday night when the pod came out we officially launched actually Thursday night Thursday night yeah
Starting point is 00:35:01 when everybody listened thank you again for listening please like subscribe smash that like smash that smash that motherfucking like button whew smash it baby so Brooke and I like had this like celebratory thing like like it was just like cool and we went to this place in West Hollywood and I got there late obviously and like had a couple drinks I don't think there's really that much that happened I wasn't expecting to get to the point that I did get right I don't think anyone was expecting to get to the point that they were you're going to
Starting point is 00:35:37 honestly kind of fill me in on what happened yeah I That was pretty okay. That was physically present, but let me tell you something. Okay. We do leave this restaurant, go to this next, like, little bar called a den in West Hollywood. And then I hear a rumor that there is karaoke happening down the street at Nottie Pig, which is interesting to me. It's always interesting because at this point in the night, I really need to sing no air by Jordan Sparks and Chris Brown. Of course.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Of course you do. So I did go sign up, and then I'm like getting the nerves. And I'm like, okay, what if I have five drinks really quickly? Right. And I got there late to dinner. Right. I got, I was sitting with our friends that had already kind of been sitting there. And they're having light bites. They're shopping from the light bites menu. And I'm like, ooh guys, I'm not much of a light bites guy. Like I don't want like a bite of your meatball, you know? Like I don't want to split a meatball. I was kind of picking it. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:36:30 You know, like I had a slider. And I had like a piece of cauliflower. Like the light bites thing that is just like, it's just not. Yeah. Happy hour and drinks is a lethal combination on account of it being small bites. It's not your fault. You get to know yourself because in the moment I was like, this is so perfect because I'm not going to get super full. Right. I was empty stomach.
Starting point is 00:36:56 Just know that you did nothing wrong. Having five drinks. And well, no, here's what I did wrong. I requested no air by Jordan Sparks of Chris Brown. They have since like, Chris Brown's canceled. But I forget because that song holds such a special place in my heart. They cut his verse. You're kidding.
Starting point is 00:37:13 No, so I'm up on the stage with our friend Patricia. And I'm getting ready to absolutely belt. I ran, I saw, I jumped, I flew. The song ends. And I never said a word. Well, I also think because I also got up there and sang. And my, I was completely thrown off because I have this list of songs on my phone that's just called songs I would be good at singing in front of people, which is in case of emergencies.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Right. And I need to pull it out. a list of songs that I would be good at singing in front of people. And I pulled from that to sing karaoke nine in the afternoon. But I was very specific in my list. It has to be nine in the afternoon acoustic version. And it was not the acoustic version that played. And my fantasy was always like getting up singing out in the afternoon like so well.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Everybody's falling in love with me. Like I'm the only person in the room. People are like she get her to Broadway immediately. Yeah. I was my, I didn't even have a whole. was putting the mic out for everybody else. And I did not say. Can I suggest to you something?
Starting point is 00:38:16 Yeah. Chug five drinks really quick. You wouldn't even notice. I was mortified, especially because in my head, I had delivered, like, the most earth-shattering performance of the acoustic version of nine in the afternoon before. And this was just really not what I need to be. And I'm kind of thinking about taking night in the afternoon off of that list. I think you should maybe just revisit it.
Starting point is 00:38:38 And you know what this reminds me of? Huh. Do you remember that one time? This is when we lived together and we were at this party and it was like super late and we had invited. Oh, okay. Yes. Okay. Are you able to take this?
Starting point is 00:38:55 I'll tell a really quick synopsis. Yeah. And I can chime in because it's kind of fuzzy to me. Brooke and I had gone out and we had done a party, but I think this was a party. No, this was Jack's going away party. Okay. Our old roommate Jack Martin. So we were having a going away party because he was moving in Australia to be on a TV show.
Starting point is 00:39:13 So we had a lot of people over to the house, had a bunch of drinks. And then it ends up being myself and Brooke and three other people we had met that night. And I am pitching, elevator pitching Brooke as one of the most phenomenal singers of our time. I actually think I said she is Amy Winehouse reincarnated. We're really lucky to be like with her tonight. We are really lucky to be in the presence of Brooke. And I also, like I usually am really, really, really shy. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:41 But at this point, I was like, yeah, like, I am like, I am like pretty damn good. So I kind of just am like, Brooke, get up there. And by up there, I mean, stand in front of a sectional sofa from living spaces. Well, Connor, who's like, I'm like clapping like, yeah, that's like, you're doing great, sweetie. He has the karaoke version of Amy Winehouse's Valerie blasting from his iPhone 8. hold up on YouTube and I'm standing there it is dead silent
Starting point is 00:40:10 these people are completely sober at this point I'm standing up there going Sometimes I go out When I tell you It was the worst performance I've genuinely ever seen him And it's a Brooks are a good singer
Starting point is 00:40:23 She's actually good And Connor's like wait for it She's gonna hit it She's gonna hit it I was wait this is a good part Why don't you come on over Valerie I was like Connor's like she's gonna get it
Starting point is 00:40:32 She's gonna get it It was earth shatteringly horror Yeah. Yeah. Which is, I'm saying that because you're usually really good. And I have no problem with that. Right.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Yeah, that was really scary. But anyway, back to karaoke. I was keeping my distance from you on Thursday night because when we were at our first location, there was a man who was kind of glued to your side showing you pictures of different kind of foods he had made and different recipes that he was interested in trying. So I was just not really wanting to be a part of that conversation. I hope that you don't take that personally.
Starting point is 00:41:05 No. I left you kind of in the trenches with him. But that just wasn't something I wanted to be a part of. This is someone that was at the bar by themselves who kind of latched on to my hip to show me his. Because Connor, you are so friendly and it is the best thing about you, but you're so nice. I kind of don't know how to, how to. So obviously, I invite this random person to just, because it didn't seem like he had any friends. So I was like, come, we have 20 friends.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Like, come hang out with us. And so he did. And he would, he kind of. 400 people to show them his recipes. Anyways, so... His ravioli is standing out. So Chris Brown was obviously removed from the karaoke version of No Air by Jordan Sparsy and Chris Ben. And for some reason, that, the way that they do karaoke songs, it feels like someone in
Starting point is 00:41:50 eighth grade is like creating them using a sim on eye movie. It's always like kind of off. Like I'm like, is this even the song? And then the lyrics start and they're just buzzing by. But anyways, I did that and was kind of beaten up about it. And then eventually it was like, I need to go home, actually, as it turns out. Uh-huh. And so I came home, and I ran smack dab into my TV that's mounted on my wall with my head.
Starting point is 00:42:15 Oh, my God. And the humiliating thing about living by yourself and getting hurt is like, you don't even need to, like, it's. You can't even, it's not even funny. It's just embarrassing. Like, I was by myself like, that is, I can't, I, didn't want to say out because, like, who am I saying out to myself? Right. It's just like, okay, well, now, now I guess, like, it's just like. go to bed after you.
Starting point is 00:42:34 So when I woke up in the next, that's similar to when I fall off my Papsum chair at home when I'm not on Zoom with my therapist and it's just like, what do I do? Like, do I get up?
Starting point is 00:42:43 Like, you know? What I did the other day that really just was like sad? I shot, like I was writing something down and I was like, didn't like it. I ripped out the page.
Starting point is 00:42:52 And I shot it into my trash can and I missed. And I was like, Air Bowl. Yeah, that is. That is mortified. It's just like so, so humble. I give myself the ick so much.
Starting point is 00:43:02 I'm like that is, specifically. when like you're walking in a mall and there's like a song playing and it's kind of and you're like everyone's looking at me do I walk to the beat of this song and I'll just like sit on a bench until the song's over
Starting point is 00:43:15 because I'm just like can't even live with myself like to think I'm walking to the beat of a song oh crap you know what I did on on Friday night what we went to the brig in Venice Beach which is like an indoor outdoor bar the inside is really bumping the outside's chill it's like picking
Starting point is 00:43:31 cables but the inside is like bumping and i walk in and when you walk into this part it's like a little bit elevated and rich girl by gwin siphany is playing so good if i want to yeah it's bumping it's bumping too and when you walk in on this elevated surface like everyone is kind of facing you i had that happen and i was this is so embarrassing it's so bad i was like walking to the beat of the song like i i feel like a rich girl right now that song whoever made that song was right that is like the worst feeling in the world is like walking to a song. Yeah. You know what?
Starting point is 00:44:02 What? No, that's, you're right. Okay, I have, no, I don't even need to, okay. So let's talk about
Starting point is 00:44:09 Minnie Mouse's pantsuit. Oh, crap. Do you know anything about this? It's like similar to, yeah, I mean, the green Eminem a bit,
Starting point is 00:44:17 which we is a cause we are passionate about. That one genuinely like kept me up at night at the green Eminem and, like, not losing your sex people, but we were stripped of a bit of it. Mini Mouse.
Starting point is 00:44:27 Covering hot. let me say this of I like this this doesn't feel like a pantsuit to me this feels like a Zara like matching set and that is something
Starting point is 00:44:39 that I can get on board with it looks like pajamas can we pull up what she was wearing before um guys so if anybody doesn't know minnie mouse has been rebranded
Starting point is 00:44:54 much like the green M&M to be in a power suit and it's making me uncomfortable because I feel like we're kind of losing the plot of life. Like, what, why? What was the problem with the first one? Is it, I guess, baby people thought her dress was too short? Is she wearing pants?
Starting point is 00:45:13 Is that a dress? Who cares? Who cares? Why am I asking these questions? I shouldn't even be asking those questions. Here's why I care. Huh, tell me. Who cares?
Starting point is 00:45:21 Exactly. Who cares? Stop. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. And Salon McCartney, I guess, design this outfit. So I think it's like Estella McCartney Disney Coalab. I do think she looks good.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Like at the end of the day, I would wear that more than I would wear her original fit. I don't know. This whole like string of like, like there's weird to be doing it now. There's potentially a draft. Like I might be going to war. Like this is not the last thing I want to see.
Starting point is 00:45:51 If I'm going to the draft, not to circle back on this, I'm taking a picture of sexy green Eminem with me. I'm not taking this new shit. Connor, that is maybe the funniest thing you've ever said. I'm taking it on putting it on my little bunk bed. And I'm going to be like,
Starting point is 00:46:10 and be like, she's my wife back home. She's my fiance. Something that I have to get back home to. I'm going to get a letter from her halfway through the war and it's going to say, I'm pregnant. And I'm like, babe, I know.
Starting point is 00:46:24 You're sexy green. It was hard that it took this on. Oh my God. That is good, Connor. I just feel like this like pants too with with Minnie Mouse like
Starting point is 00:46:35 it's giving me like I am I was a celebrity and now I'm starting like a line of makeup you know and now I'm like a girl boss yeah
Starting point is 00:46:45 I mean yeah I do like her new outfit though the outfit's fine I think that it's just what it stands for yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:46:54 like you leave the classics alone right right make a new mouse right animate a new mouse like it's so hard This is a billion-dollar company. Mickey Mouse.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Yeah, wow. You don't mess with Minnie? I wonder how Mickey feels. I didn't realize you were this passionate about it. It just fires me up a little bit, yeah, I guess. Yeah, yeah. Okay, well, good to know. Okay, well, we have an email,
Starting point is 00:47:16 DearB and C at Gmail.com. Which, by the way, if there's any dots, comments, concerns ever, you can email us all the time. Dear, B, and the letter, or the word A and D. Yes. D-A-R, B-A-N-D. A and the letter C at gment.com
Starting point is 00:47:32 and we'll put it on the screen here for your convenience If you're watching online But anyway, we have that email and some of you have written in which we so appreciate and we are prepared to give you some advice if you will.
Starting point is 00:47:46 First off, I'd like to say TMG knew what they were doing when they got you two on a podcast together. Thank you. That is so kind. The chaotic energy between you really stimulates my ADHD brain so thank you and you're welcome. I'm writing in for some advice
Starting point is 00:47:58 on my love life, hoping I can help you there, but we'll see, oy. In the words of you in sixth grade, brook, oy. I've been very good friends with this guy I met in college for about three years now. We've always had some flirty sexual tension and have kissed a few times while drunk.
Starting point is 00:48:12 He has openly told me he has feelings for me on multiple occasions, but for some reason I can never reciprocate. I haven't seen him in months and we talk all the time and recently I've been thinking about what it would be like if we actually dated. Should I just give it a shot and see if we could have something real or be true to my half-hearted feelings about him
Starting point is 00:48:28 and stay friends. Who knows, but I'm hoping you guys might. Congrats on the pod. You guys are hilarious, stunning and smart. Oh, that's a morning toast reference. Oh, well, that's so sweet of you. And I have a feeling we are both going to have extremely different opinions on this. Why don't you go ahead.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Okay. I know you're very firm in your belief. You should not hook up with your friends, right? I think, I guess it depends how good are. Like, if he is somebody that you absolutely cannot lose, Like, I think there's a pretty good chance that this would ruin the friendship. So if you cannot lose him, I would not move forward with doing anything and just stay friends. But I do think if there is like a chance that you could have your happily ever after with him.
Starting point is 00:49:17 If you give it a shot, then I would always take the risk. Like, I would always take the risk if there is a small chance at happiness. like I'd rather maybe be happy and like I think to me like obviously my big motto is do not hook up with your friends
Starting point is 00:49:36 it's not worth like Brooks said it's not worth losing it but but depends is he friends with your friends like if it was a friend group thing and he's like in your friend group it ruins it for other people too so that would be selfish of you to hook up with him
Starting point is 00:49:48 but like on the off chance that like okay now your friends have to be like do we invite like Sean or come Mila to this thing. Right. You know? They can't be in the same room together.
Starting point is 00:49:59 Mm-hmm. So it's just like, I don't know. I think like the drunk thing kissing, it's like we've all been there. But I think it's just, I would avoid it personally. Like, it's not like this is the one for you. Well, it could be though. That's the thing. If there's like a 1% chance that it's the one, me, I would do it.
Starting point is 00:50:18 Because I'm also psych out. You're also forgetting three years in college. I'm thinking this person is a senior. let's call her Sarah. Sarah's a senior. And this is her last year of college. You're probably going to lose touch with a lot of people. I wouldn't throw this one in the mix.
Starting point is 00:50:36 And again, I'm like not, I would. Okay, well. Anyways, I say avoid it. Brooke says if you think that there's potential for it to be long term, like, I guess go for it. Yeah, I do feel that way. Also, if you have the conversation before, that's like, yo, maybe we should take this further.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Maybe we should go on a date, but be like, this can't ruin it. And I also think being really clear and being sensitive to the fact that he probably likes you a lot more than you like him right now and being clear about your feelings and trying your best not to lead him on
Starting point is 00:51:09 is key. But anyways, wish you the best of luck with that. I guess we didn't really help that much. Not at all, but I'm hoping that you write in and follow up with us. But yeah, write up. I want to hear what happens there. We're going to start trying to call people in the show too,
Starting point is 00:51:24 so let me know if you need advice or anything. Leave the number. Do you have any dating icks speaking of? I get the ick. Like, if somebody is expressing interest in any way, that disgusts me. So that's something I don't like. Right. And then my new ick is...
Starting point is 00:51:46 That's a good therapy topic, too. And I'm already ahead of it. Okay. And my new ick, somebody liking me is you know the song sixes to nines i showed you that song yeah it just like a guy kind of dancing to that song oh i'm shaking my ass to that song every time it like gives me i don't know what like the falsetto part it like just like watching a guy like go like this to it the one that goes if you can't see me i'm just like moving ever so slightly oh oh yeah yeah yeah but high like a three
Starting point is 00:52:19 octaves higher than that. Just like I can't, that it like cures me of any crush. Oh, well, good to know. Then you should play that. I did. Although it didn't work when I tried it last time, but with most people it does work. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:35 Except for if you don't like me and are not very nice to me, that will not ick me because I'll be so in love with you that nothing could ache me. Yeah. Therapy. Yeah. Therapy. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:48 Yeah. yeah I'm the same way like I like to chase a little bit yeah um and then I guess my pet beef would be chewing anyways and the reason that we're laughing is because when um the first week that we were living together Connor commented on my chewing and I got so upset that I cried and stormed out of the house and come back for two hours I didn't comment on her chewing I was just like Are you serious? Which is so mean. Okay, well, anyways, it's that, it's like when I'm out getting a bite to eat, like on a date or something.
Starting point is 00:53:28 Right. The chewing is bad. It's just like, that's it. So it's just like you have to chew to swallow your food. You could chew with your mouse shut. Yeah, and I do. Well, I guess we could talk about something else. I guess we'll have to.
Starting point is 00:53:42 So we talked about West Ham, Caleb. Right. A little bit. And that's like, sparked this new thing called love bombing, which. just a new phrase. And for those of you that don't know, West Elm Caleb is this guy who's gone viral in New York
Starting point is 00:53:56 for ghosting girls on dating apps. Not only ghosting them, but love bombing them first, which is just like being super, super, super affectionate and touchy. And in West Elm Caleb's case, sending nudes and making playlists and just like all these like intense experiences,
Starting point is 00:54:13 love bombing them and then ghosting these girls, which has now kind of like, Connor was saying sparked a larger discussion of love bombing in general. I mean, which brings me to the question, have you ever been love bombed, Connor? Yep. Oh,
Starting point is 00:54:26 I guess that's an ache of mine too. Being love bombed? Yeah, I'm like, get out. Yeah, exactly. You're interested in me.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Red flag, red flag. Right. Right. Have you ever love bombed someone? No. I'm not like that. Right.
Starting point is 00:54:36 You're not. Yeah, that's true. I don't even like tugging or touching anybody. Yeah. I. Which like therapy. Right. Therapy.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Therapy. I have convinced myself I've been loved on like if a guy likes my Instagram I'm like how like Whoa yeah like whoa Like what are what are we I have a question The crazy thing about me is that if a guy likes my Instagram
Starting point is 00:55:02 I'm like okay he's in love with me he's obsessed with me He's liking my Instagram If he doesn't like my Instagram he's in love with me He's obsessed with me he's playing hard to get So it's like I'm that level of like delusional It's like anything anything goes Cool Cool
Starting point is 00:55:15 That's kind of of a talent actually when you think about it anyway what were you saying um i was going to ask when someone asked for your snapchat that happened the guy who was showing you the ravioli's asked for my snapchat he he cooks yeah he does he just scared me a little bit like gave me a little bit like yeah i'm gonna show up at your house right and i won't be moving forward with snapcheting him whoa you gave it to him well it's like a public snapchat i have a public snapchat i have a one of We both do have those public snapshots. If he snaps us, we wouldn't get it.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Also, if you guys want to add us on Snapchat, my Snapchat is at Fibula, F-I-B-U-L-A. Oh, and mine's Lady Ephron, because I don't think I told you guys, we didn't tell anybody our usernames and the reason behind those, which I think is an important part of getting to know us. Or me, mine kind of ties into my brand in that
Starting point is 00:56:06 I was so obsessed with Zach Ephron in middle school that when like AIM, AOL, whatever was big, I was trying so desperately to make my screen name Mrs. Ephron. And that was not available. And clearly that was very challenging for me. And my dad was able to help me. And Mrs. Ephron 1 was taken too.
Starting point is 00:56:26 So don't think I didn't try that. And Mrs. Ephron 18 was also taken because that's my birthday. So my dad actually came up with Lady Ephron. Oh. Yeah. Thanks, Brett. And here we are as Lady Ephron. I don't have a reason behind Fibula.
Starting point is 00:56:39 But I do want to, like, I think this is a really important segment for us to say, we hear you everyone saying that we need to finish our thoughts that we're on and I was just thinking about how we went from love bombing to Snapchat to our usernames and circling back to a lot I feel like we've been doing a lot better than we did right last episode well I'm gonna I'm gonna start wearing a shot collar I want to get you a little notepad that's like you can drop down your thought so that you don't have to feel like you have to burst although you have been so good kiss your brain. That's something that I used to tell my Bruce Larsonerick. The reason I think that you've been
Starting point is 00:57:16 thinking that I've been doing so good is Brooke didn't go to sleep last night. So I think that like the way that you tell. No, well like, am I okay? In a good way. You're just like on it. Like you're sharper almost. Do you think? Because you didn't sleep. Yeah. Usually you know I need my 13 hours.
Starting point is 00:57:32 I know. I need my 13 hours in addition to my two hour nap in addition to the one hour pregame of scrolling on my TikTok before nap. Yeah. Hey, I get it. Hey, honey. You don't have to tell me twice. No.
Starting point is 00:57:46 But anyway, I was going to ask. So love bombing. No, I mean, I think we covered love. My question is the Snapchat thing. Like, if someone takes your Snapchat. That is like not. That is a huge ick. I think that goes without saying.
Starting point is 00:57:59 You think it's an ick to have a Snapchat? No, not to have a Snapchat. But if a guy is like, can I get your Snap? Snap to me is like such a great platform that I can post what I'm doing all the time. So that like when so. someone asks for my Snapchat, I'm like, okay, cool, they're going to get a little taste. And then I'm giving plenty of opportunity to respond to a story versus like I would never post like 50 times on my Instagram story.
Starting point is 00:58:24 But I will post 50 times on my Snapchat without blinking an eye. But you wouldn't go up to a girl in a bar and say, can I get your snap? No, but when you take each other's numbers, it gives you the opportunity to a quick ad them. Sometimes. Okay. If I feel it's necessary. I don't think, yeah, I don't think I would. just because I just feel like there's stigma around Snap.
Starting point is 00:58:45 With like, like, nudes? No, even just like more like juvenile. Like, can I get your snap? You know, like it seems like very, yeah. I just feel like I'd be embarrassed. Although I do think like I'd love Snapchat. I know you do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:57 I have a 1700 day streak with a girl that I was my New Year's kiss four years ago. That was the first time I ever met her. We exchanged Snapchats that night and we've Snapchat. I don't think there's 700 days in four years. 1700. is what I said. I don't think that there's seven, okay. 1,100, something like that.
Starting point is 00:59:16 Anyways, something that is very near and dear to my heart. And I've been wanting to talk about this is you watched Euphoria. I know. I watched Euphoria too. I watched Euphoria specifically because I wanted to talk about it today. Okay. Because what I did last week was wait two days. You legit can't even wait.
Starting point is 00:59:33 You can't wait. It'll be spoiled. You can't wait one hour. Like I was like, I sit on Twitter basically like the whole time I'm watching TV, reload, scrolls. I genuinely couldn't be on Twitter because as soon as the episode aired at the like 75 minute mark
Starting point is 00:59:49 of the show being over it was already being posted. People post, you don't even have to watch the episode. It's crazy. So it sucks from that standpoint. And it's like every single meme in the entire world is euphoria related. I didn't know if it's just because I'm interested in euphoria that my entire feed is euphoria right now.
Starting point is 01:00:06 But tell me what you think and I, so. Okay. Go ahead. I have a lot of thoughts on this episode. I thought it was, there's an interesting combination of me thinking it was so good, which I did, and also me not having a clue what happened,
Starting point is 01:00:22 which is also the truth. Well, let me fill you in on what happened. So you thought it was so good. I once again had... I love what's going on. Like, I love getting the backstory on Nate's dad. I love Cal. Like, I love whatever's going on with him.
Starting point is 01:00:35 Okay, so I'd never expected to see his penis? I don't think it's his. It's a prosthetic. I don't know. Either way. Like, I didn't expect to see like...
Starting point is 01:00:46 You know, he was in Gray's Anatomy? Yeah, of course. So, like, I never expected that full circle to like, now I'm here, like, for... That scene bugged the crap out of me
Starting point is 01:00:57 because... I mean, it was great. That was the only thing that happened in that episode. I was sucked into that scene. There were three things that happened. And if you haven't seen Euphoria yet, I would turn the volume down.
Starting point is 01:01:07 Oh, can... Really? quick. We're going to give some euphoria spoilers and discuss it for a second. Giving you three, two, one. Okay. So Sydney Sweeney had her whole bit, which I thought was phenomenal when she was fighting. That was when that's going to be a character arc of her. She's now deteriorating. Uh-huh. Obviously, Rue is back on drugs. And is she dead? Get this. Okay. So here's here's the theory that I have. I think, so did you notice she didn't narrate this episode and it was chaotic. The first episode she hasn't narrated. No, I
Starting point is 01:01:42 I did not catch that, but that is so true. She didn't narrate and it was chaos. And so I think she's either overdosed again. She's in a coma probably. She's in a coma or she's passed away and that whole thing seeing her dad was like she died. Well, that's why I thought she died because she was with her dad again. But she didn't narrate the episode and it was chaotic because she's not like not involved. Oh my God. Connor, you're so smart. I noticed at the end, well, they're really dragging it out. It's very theatrical this season, but it's like, it's kind of cool in the sense that like they're really
Starting point is 01:02:13 leaning into the fact that like there's no they're pacing it kind of wrong. Like there's full episodes where nothing happens and at the end everything happens. It's almost like every single episode is like a trailer for the next episode. I'm like, what are you guys doing? So obviously, but the thing
Starting point is 01:02:28 and then at the end of the episode, the narration picks back up and I think it's Jules talking and she's never narrated. an episode. Holy shit. I did not notice that at all. Yeah, it would have been nice to be watching with you because now that I think about it, I don't think I understood the entire episode that I claim to love. Yeah. I've never watched a show like this before, but I think I'm only watching it because it feels good to be a part of this discourse. Oh, you don't think it's just so good, though?
Starting point is 01:02:57 I do think it's good. I just think that, like, I could tell you, I just told you everything that happened in the show in five minutes. And there's entire scenes. Like, there's just that last scene of Sydney Sweenian, it's just assuming in on her face. But it is just so aesthetically pleasing and euphoric, truly. Like, it makes you feel like you are on drugs just to watch that, like, I would take an hour of just looking at it even if nothing happens. You should try drugs. You know, it's interesting. I only say that because, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:26 Yeah. Because Dare hates euphoria because they think that it glorifies drugs, which I know you had the experience of watching euphoria. Euphoria and being like, I need that. Euphoria and being like I need to do drugs now. But I like do like I do like never want to go near drugs after watching that. So like I don't understand how like watching Rue like be half dead and like sick and like can't lift her head up and losing all of her relationships and fucking her whole life up makes people want to do that. You know? Like to me I'm like I will never touch fentanyl.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Ooh. Yeah, I would hope so. Or even like I like don't even want to drink after I watch it. stop watching it. Because we gotta keep you on the wagon or off the wagon however that phrase works.
Starting point is 01:04:13 But, oh, there was one more piece that I wanted to talk about. So there's a big discourse on Twitter also about it where people are like, are you on Elliot's side
Starting point is 01:04:22 of this whole thing? Right. He's this like, I'm like, what a loser like instead, he knows that she knows that Rue is like back on drugs
Starting point is 01:04:31 and instead of like reaching out and helping her, he's telling Jules that Root is back on drugs and because he wants to be honest with her and be the good guy. Yeah, but do you think Elliot knows her history?
Starting point is 01:04:42 Because he's new. Yes, because he literally said she relapsed and I know that because I'm doing drugs with her. Yeah. Yeah, you're right. Yeah, it's not good. And the whole thing where they were like,
Starting point is 01:04:51 he's so cute though. Roo can't be drinking and then they go drive to the gas he should steal a bunch of alcohol. Yeah, I mean, they're all like each character is deeply, deeply, deeply flawed. And I think that's why I like it so much.
Starting point is 01:05:05 Yeah. Like no one's, there's no, like, protagonist. Lexi. But she's also like a side character. So there's really no one that's like. Did you do the dare thing in school? Yeah. And our dare officer was officer sexton and no one could focus because his name had sex in it.
Starting point is 01:05:26 That'd be hard. It was horrible. I can't even imagine. It was so hard. Imagine fifth graders. Yeah. It was like all we could talk about. They brought our, so we all had to sign the banner.
Starting point is 01:05:35 Mm-hmm. They brought like this huge banner that's like D-A-R-E. And like that was the age where it was like, I will literally never drink or do drugs. Yeah. And then they brought it back out senior year of high school. And we were all like hands on our knees like crying, laughing. Like some kids like smoking out of a sprite can in the bathroom, like as we are all like, okay, so you can go ahead and like Mr. Clean everybody's name off of that thing because.
Starting point is 01:06:01 Yeah. I don't know if we had to do that at all. I think I blacked out It was a weird You were crazy back then I know I didn't drink until college Whoa Yeah
Starting point is 01:06:11 I don't like most of my high school didn't Or I was just not invited anywhere It's hard to say I don't know Who to who does I guess we'll never know Maybe your diary entry Should have covered that later on
Starting point is 01:06:23 Yeah Well guys I think this brings us to the end Yeah you know What are you doing to us today? I do think that at this point My eyes are closing a little bit. Do you want to do something?
