Starting point is 00:01:00 If you could pick one feeling to never experience for the rest of your life, what would it be? Have I already asked this? Well, I know what yours is. What? Naja, but mine would be anxiety for sure. We have done. This is something we've done because I was just thinking. No, you just don't like being nausea.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Would I rather never experience nausea or anxiety? I was just thinking that. But they're so closely linked. Yeah. Because you could get anxious about how nauseous you are. And nausea's about how anxious you are. For sure. I would never experience nausea.
Starting point is 00:02:01 I'm sorry, we've had this conversation. It's like there's only so many topics. Well, I'll tell you one that's kind of like pretty closely linked to both of those. What? I picked up this new. I used to drink a lot of kombucha. Yeah. I don't know what.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Like I kind of just like, you know me. if people are like this is good for you and this is like the new thing I'm just going to start doing it Retta That Um kombucha's been around I know kombucha's like old as dirt but yeah the like GT gtis kambucha
Starting point is 00:02:36 I didn't know about the gtas model Is it GTs? It's something it's GTs I think I started getting this like in college because at my office that I worked at they had it for free in the fridge and I was reading them pretty constantly and I just saw them again and I was like that sounds good to me this specific flavor vital C is genuinely a four loco and yeah have you had a four loco
Starting point is 00:03:03 I was just about to say you know I've never even it's never even touched my lips okay I'm gonna try to think of something think about if you mix chemical if you mix together cologne with like like a fruit punch
Starting point is 00:03:21 Capri Sun. That is what a four loco tastes like. That doesn't sound like horrible. Cologne? I don't know. I mean, that sounds better than like vodka to me. Oh, Lord. I remember the first time I was exposed to drinking was a four loco.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Like we were at some kids' birthday party and there was a four loco hidden in the bathroom. And everyone was like going and taking sips of it and then coming back out. And my friend, one of my best friends took a sip. And I was like, I don't, I honestly don't think I can be friends with you anymore. We, did I tell you about my, the Halloween that we did something similar? By the river? The Halloween, it was a lake, but yeah, you're almost there. And you threw them in.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Yeah, but I was a bumblebee costume. And I, my, my friends were all, yeah, there's only, listen, if someone, someone might have started listening today and you can listen to this story. I think we were 12. and my friends were older than me so they were like a level of like let's go out to my dad's fridge in the garage and we'll take some beer and they put them in because I was a fat bumblebee
Starting point is 00:04:32 for Halloween. Yes yes I know this and it zipped from the back and they were like we're going to put the beers into your fat bumblebee costume and they did just that and so I'm wobbling through the house just fat as can be full of beers and then we had one we opened one and then we threw the rest into the lake
Starting point is 00:04:50 and then they started bobbing around like cauliflower and they're floating towards the house that all of her parents are at the back a yard of oh that was nightmare fuel 12 feels really really young I always say 12 like I'm pretty sure I was still like
Starting point is 00:05:07 talking to my stuffed animals that tracks for both of us yeah I mean I still check in with my stuffies it is hard to shake that feeling that there is there is a living breathing sentience in my celie. Like, you're telling, like, you can't tell me that there's nothing there.
Starting point is 00:05:31 You can't tell me that there's nothing there because the actual physical, almost debilitating guilt I felt for chewing off Sealy's whiskers so I could fall asleep every night. It makes me still, still makes me feel very, very full. Not because I eat the whiskers, but because. I actually feel probably a little sick. Nausee meets anxiety mode. I chewed his nose off too. Aw. I chewed his nose to clean off.
Starting point is 00:06:02 And swallowed it? Straight off. Did you swallow it? Probably a decent amount of his nose. Yeah, I probably swallowed it. It was like a hard, I'm picturing like hard shell. No, this was a very nice stuffy. Oh, was it threaded?
Starting point is 00:06:17 It was an elevated stuffy. I think the nose was more leather. Which you can eat leather. Oh, leather. Yeah. He's leather bound. He's not leather bound. His nose was leather.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Like felted leather. Yeah. Soft nose. Because he was a soft nose seal, I think. Like a white. Hodgepodge's nose is... Hodgepodgepatch is a beanie baby. Is Hodgepatch is with us?
Starting point is 00:06:37 Do they still actively sell beanie babies? Or are they all, like, antiques? I don't know. I could definitely see, and this is pretty tragic. I could see, like, Laboooooo, putting Beanie Baby out of business, which is sad. to think about. Who putting BB Baby baby out of business?
Starting point is 00:06:54 I want my BB Baby Baby. Who would baby baby? Who do you see? Izzy, can you see if Hodgepodge is still for sale? Does you see if they still sell BB Baby Baby? Just on eBay. For $5? That's extremely hurtful.
Starting point is 00:07:12 He's worth so much more. Aw. 2002. He's so cute. He's a good boy. Is Hodgepodge still with us? Of course. I sleep with Hodge every night.
Starting point is 00:07:31 I didn't know that. Yes. Like, if you listened, you would have. I have a tattoo of him on my arm. I know. I know that. Oh. I thought that was like a memoriam.
Starting point is 00:07:41 In Memorial of Potpodgepodge. No. It's like honoring him as he lives and breathes. Well, that's fabulous. What did it would have, so I mean, I saw you. Welcome back to Brick and Connor Make a podcast, too, as well. what has happened since I saw you last? I know that we have like an un our schedule of late has been just brilliant. Eft.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Kind of aft, yeah. It's been effed. The last we spoke, you were thinking of moving? I am out. No, I'm not completely out, but like I am like in my mind I have made several phone, I physically have made several phone calls. In your mind, you've made several phone calls. you've made several phone calls.
Starting point is 00:08:27 In my mind, I haven't, I have a plan to make several phone calls. Yeah. So, but in terms of action, have you done anything? Yes. This is the one time I have been like, get your ass up and move. Because I'm like, this is just not, it's just not conducive for me. And it's making me not, it's making me not feel so good. So I have sent several emails to no response, which is so funny.
Starting point is 00:08:53 And then I've made some phone calls. as well. But we are moving. Okay. And I'm going to be marked safe. But it's funny because this weekend I had all my college friends come in town. And I was like, my place was like the option to have people. But like it was just like in between our like we went on a boat during the day. I went on a boat.
Starting point is 00:09:19 You went on a boat too? Yeah, I didn't know you went on a boat. Yeah. We went on a boat down the Hudson. It was amazing. Not like splish splash boat, a bunch of people like, our friends brought bathing suits thinking it was going to be like when we went to college in Austin boat party meant like, you know, wear your bathing suit. I was just simply not not.
Starting point is 00:09:42 We were like over by the statue of liberty in there. Like when can we get off? And I was like, what did you? But yeah, I had people over. And it was actually really lovely having people over. Because at nighttime, it doesn't matter how much light you get into your apartment. It's not as depressing because it's lovely having guests over. But they were like, why are you moving?
Starting point is 00:10:03 This is amazing. And I was, you haven't seen it at noon. Like, just from what I had seen of it, at nighttime, it looks like a pretty good space. So I would maybe give it a few weeks before you make any decisions. I'm not willing or able. Sounds good. I need daytime. I need daytime.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Okay. I just wonder what you thought before about a basement cellar. What? I just wonder what you thought was going to happen with a basement, like, seller properly. I'm not in a basement. I'm on the ground floor. I wouldn't call it the ground floor if you have to go down steps. But I'm touching the backyard.
Starting point is 00:10:44 I'm at sea level with the backyard. But your front door, like, don't you have to go down steps? Sure. I would call that slightly below sea level. Okay. But the backyard? is on par with the house? I guess.
Starting point is 00:10:59 Okay, well, anyways. You know how sand isn't always even? You know, there's drop-offs and sandbars and stuff like that? Like, your backyard's on, like, on a higher, like, sandbar. So you... Okay. Okay. I see.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Yeah, that does make sense. Well, I'm moving, so that's it. That's all I have to say. But it was... I haven't seen my college friends in, like, since the last time someone got married, which is crazy. been all together and so it was lovely it was amazing and the last the last time we were all together I was ordaining my friend's wedding and then I was like wait so I haven't seen you
Starting point is 00:11:39 guys since your wedding you know these are like some of my best friends and they were like no and I was like so it's been you guys have been physically married for almost three years going on three years which is weirder than me not seeing them you know yes they're fully like in a they're going on five, which is basically 10, which is a decade. Are all of your college friends married? No. I'd say half. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:07 That's fine. Yeah. And no one, I keep forgetting. I keep being like, because I introduced two of my college friends. Juan and Dana, I introduced. And I still felt like, like, I sat in between them at lunch. I still felt like I was like the link between them, even though they're married. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:12:27 Right. Yes. Yeah, it was kind of weird. Um, they are married completely 100%. Are any of your friends? Yeah, you just went to a wedding. Me? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:37 When? I'm losing track of like how much time has passed. That was almost like a year ago. Oh. Time. Yeah. Okay. That's.
Starting point is 00:12:48 I have one coming up, though. You do? Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. In Philly. Yeah. That'll be a fun one.
Starting point is 00:12:56 It does change the, uh, and then I have my brothers. And then your brothers. Right. Um, we're kind of in, in a unique situation with that because originally me and Gabby, we're not getting plus ones unless we were in like serious relationships. Yeah. So we were both like, okay, I guess that's fine, whatever.
Starting point is 00:13:17 Um, because we both will just be each other's plus one. And it's also our brother. So we have family there and stuff like that. Um, and unfortunately for, for me, Gabby's now in a relationship. And so I guess if that says, like she will probably bring a plus one to Noah's wedding. And so I think it would probably be hard for me to be at my younger brother's wedding alone while my sister eight years younger than me has a plus. So we're going to have to, I've spoken to my brother already.
Starting point is 00:13:51 Plans have been put in place that I will be able to activate a plus one if needed. Like for my health. Yeah, we're going to plus size. Yeah. Okay, I don't think, and this is like, I think you guys being sisters, like you could do a plus one. You should have fun. No, I know. I don't think, like they're not giving anyone plus ones, I don't think, unless they're like married.
Starting point is 00:14:18 I think there could be exceptions for your immediate opinion. So that's what I had said. But my brother said he wanted all of my attention on him, which I said is that makes sense. That's fair. But you're not going to care on the day. You don't even see the people that are getting married. And this is a health thing. This is a health thing at this point.
Starting point is 00:14:35 If you care. Yeah. I think like any, if someone's coming in there like just your friend, you didn't, no one needs to have plus ones because you're going to have other friends there. It would be weird to like. I'm not going to have any friends there. If they, if you were just a friend of his, that's fine to not, you know what I mean? No, but I agree that I explained to him that it's abnormal.
Starting point is 00:14:58 But he's not giving. He's been flexible now that there's been a health issue introduced. Now there's been a health scare introduced. Take your girlfriend with you. Yeah. So all good there, possibly. That's amazing. Good for you.
Starting point is 00:15:17 We'll see how that goes. When is that? Winter of 20, 26, going on seven. Next year? It's like New Year's vibes. Oh my gosh, wait. It's 2026. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:35 Something weird is happening over here. Like in the time space continuum? Yeah, because I was like, oh, you have a, you have over a year to get. No, it's in December. But I could still be in a serious relationship by then, for sure. For sure. It's on July. But I'm not looking.
Starting point is 00:15:53 No. Seek, don't attract. I mean, attracts. Attacks don't chase. I want to bring my cats. That's not gonna, you can't do that. I know that. I'm just saying what I want.
Starting point is 00:16:10 While acknowledging that I also can't do that. If Rob or Jonathan turned into a man, would you date your man cat? No. Okay. Unless like they were really hot or something. No, no, no, no, no. I really, really truly need you to say with your chest, if Rob or John turned into a man, would you date him? No.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Those are my kids. Please don't say What? I was just really worried You were going to be like, yeah, of course What if John like turned into like MG
Starting point is 00:16:45 What if you No No no no no no no no no No But like that's not John That's John morphing No no no That is John's soul
Starting point is 00:16:58 Okay if it was his soul Well then that's we Then it's like He's been there all along No No, I would obviously not enter into a relationship with my cats. Right. But I'm just saying like I think, yeah, there's some really interesting ways it could go.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Like if John turned into one, like someone else. That'd be a different person. That'd be a different person. Yeah. But if John was still John, then no. Just say no. Like we should move forward with like just a solid no. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:44 That you wouldn't date your cat. No, I obviously would not date my cat, Connor. I'm in love with my cats. I know. Like as a child. As like my soulmates. Like truly, I believe that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:00 Okay. I'm sensing something like there's a lot. There's something. I don't have romantic feelings for my cats. Okay. Is that what you want me to say? Yeah. No, I did want you to say that.
Starting point is 00:18:12 But they're the loves of my life. I wanted you to make that abundantly clear that you would not. They're the loves of my life. Let me make that clear. Cool. Thank you. No problem. Hey guys.
Starting point is 00:18:26 We want to take a break to think of a sponsor of today's episode, Jones Road Beauty. Jones Road Beauty has completely changed how I do my makeup. I used to feel like I needed a bunch of different products to look put together. And honestly, it just took too long, especially in the summer. I don't want to spend 20 minutes getting ready. The product I've been reaching for nonstop is the miracle bomb. It gives my skin this fresh, healthy glow that actually looks like my skin instead of covering it up. I'll just tap it on with my fingers, use a little on my cheeks, sometimes on my lips, and I'm basically done.
Starting point is 00:18:57 It replaces so many steps in my routine, and I can get that effortless, glowy look in under a minute. The best part of Jones Road Beauty is that all of their products are actually good for your skin. Every formula is packed with skin-loving ingredients. It nourishes your skin instead of clogging or caking, and it looks and feels natural, like you're not wearing any makeup at all. They also just launched their new foundation stick, and I love that it's there for the days when I want a little more coverage without going back to a full face routine. It gives really natural, buildable medium to full coverage, feels completely weightless, and leaves your skin looking smooth and healthy instead of looking like you're wearing foundation. Plus, it's dermatologist tested, made with nourishing ingredients like ceramides, squaline, and sodium hyalore. night and comes in 30 shades.

Factor has meals designed around different nutrition goals too. The big two. The balance of our... I've never seen Shutter Island. Connor. Who's in it? Oh, that's one that you would, like, freak for. What?
Starting point is 00:23:26 That's Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Michelle Williams. No. She, like, one thing I'm not going to do... One thing I'm not going to do is watch Shutter Island while I'm living in a basement. Sorry. No, it's not basement forward. It's island forward. I don't want to be underground when I see a visual of that woman with her finger over her lips. She's just in it for one second.
Starting point is 00:23:50 I can't even. She's really, like that's her moment. Like that's it. No, bro, can you imagine I have a can and then I see her for one moment and then I turn off my lights in my underground apartment. And I have to just imagine that she's probably not my cabinet. It is really an intense film. It's very much like six cents vibes, kind of. Like you think you're watching one thing and then it's like, holy shit, I'm watching a different thing.
Starting point is 00:24:17 The Shalaman twist? Yes. Is this Shalemann? No, this is a Martin Scorsese motion picture. Very cool. It's really, really good. I will say for the first two hours, I'm like, and this was the same, I've watched it twice. the first two hours, I'm like, huh, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:37 And then the rest, like, wow, my God, that's crazy. You just have to get through that first two? Once you get through those first two hours, the rest is like very much smooth sailing. Because it's one of those where it's like you don't know what's going on in a way that's like, I wish I knew maybe like a little bit more. But then once you do know what's going on, it's like, whoa. Can we remove the young woman? Sorry, from the screen. Why?
Starting point is 00:25:03 I have her up here as big as Brooke as Brooke on my end. It literally feels like Brooke and Connor and woman make podcast. I love her. I love that bitch. Brooke, she's the shisher. Genuinely, like, that is what the essence of that man looks like. No, that's doing that woman a disservice. But, like, that's how evil that that man's energy was.
Starting point is 00:25:31 No. Yes. Worse than her. Was she evil in the movie? Don't tell me. I want to watch it. That was it. That's all we got from that woman was just... What the hell is she doing? They get to the island and then she's going, and that's it. That's the last we see of her. What does she do for work? How does she pay... We don't know anything about her.
Starting point is 00:25:49 How does she pay rent on an island? Why does she do? What does she do? You do not have to pay rent at the mental facility. Oh, she's at a facility. It's a mental health institution for the criminal insane. Why was she out and about a loan? We don't know anything. She was just walking the grounds. There were guards there. there. Lovely. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:07 Oh, fabulous. No, I'm not going to be watching it. I didn't even know you watched Love Island. I don't. I just watched the last episode because everyone was watching. But I have like, this is the most I've ever known about Love Island because of Trinity and Bryce. Just like being everywhere. And I really support them like with my whole heart.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Just from what I've seen. Bryce is really like just seems like an awesome guy. And Trinity seems lovely as well. But at first everyone, like when the season aired was like Bryce looks like Matthew Greg Gubler. And just like from what I saw of him like judging a book by his covers him like being a DJ, I was like, no he does not. The guy's completely Matthew Gubler. Really? Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:50 He, I mean, salt of the earth. He is an angel. And then it just came out today like he's good friends with like most of the Glee cast. Like he's such an enigma. Like you wouldn't think that guy's, look at that comparison between him and him. Oh, I see it. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Stunning. He's a good guy. Well, that's nice. Yeah. It will never not blow my mind how much real estate people have, just like the consumer of these shows, how much real estate you have for like 17 new people in your life to keep up with every year. But then you only carry a few with you. Yeah, I guess. I think also something else I have about Love Island.
Starting point is 00:27:38 It's like, I have not watched since I told you when I watched. I haven't watched since like really truly watched since like college. I shouldn't say this because I see these people a lot. But it is like magnificent how careers are started by dating someone. Thank you. Can you see how much I'm sweating? No. Can you see?
Starting point is 00:28:03 Yeah, it's a lot. Why? Is it hot in there? What? Is it hot in there? Yeah, we do have to, we do have to unplug the AC while we shoot. Oh, I didn't know that, Connor. So it won't pick up on the screen. You should get a portable fan, like a little one that you can. I have two. I have two for my hot apartment. That's underground. No, I mean just like the little handheld ones that you can press against your face, you know? Yep, I got two asleep next to them. You should get one of those like water bottle squirt ones.
Starting point is 00:28:33 You had it. I have one. No, you don't. I have one. I have. a water bottle of square one. Like, no, you don't. I have a water bottle of squirrel and it's next to my BB Baby, baby. Okay. It's sitting right next to my BB, baby. Did you know there are Uber XXLs now? No.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Imagine my shock this weekend, calling an Uber XXL, a party bus showed up to take four of us a mile. Why did you do an XXL? I was curious. Okay. And just for the take of the story, I'm saying like it was me that called it, but it was actually Frankie's boyfriend Wilson. But I was just saving some words. But now I've actually used a lot of words. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:23 I like Wilson. But Wilson called an XXL and a full, like, party van showed up. We will probably never have those in New York, but I did. No, they're starting to crank up. out everywhere. Really? Yeah. I have like every limo driver's contact in New York City.
Starting point is 00:29:44 And I feel like they have my, I feel like I shared my location with some of them because I kid you not every single weekend when we like, like this weekend with my college friends, like we went to dinner in Chinatown, like 15 of us walk outside. Limos there and he's just out leaning against his limo and goes, hey, get in. Have you checked your location services? It's that kind of impossible to say. I don't really know how to access that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:13 But he picked us up. It was amazing. I loved the limo thing. I went in two limos this weekend. It's amazing because you can all fit in one place. For me, I'm talking about the Uber van, not necessarily a limo, but just it's amazing. Yeah, we had like a bunch of Chinese food, like duck and stuff. And then we got into a limo.
Starting point is 00:30:34 It was like 15. of us and no one was really talking. And I was playing really good music from like college. And I didn't eat one of the options because it just wasn't really speaking to my palate. What was it? I could not tell you. I think it was some sort of seafood dish. But it just wasn't calling my name because we were just like underground again and like a big table. And it was a BYUob restaurant. So there was just kind of like a lot happening. I'm not going to eat that. And so I'm not going to eat that. several people were like, I'm feeling not very good. I had to go home.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Wow. That's like bride's names, but you're Helen. It was like a very different experience because we took a, we took a limo. What? I'm not sick. I'm actually hungry. This is how much she was sweating though in that movie. Can you see this?
Starting point is 00:31:26 Oh, yeah. Oh, absolutely. At first I had thought those were just like the places that your short was folding in. itself. But no, that's complete soakage. I used to be so jealous of the girls that could drip sweat. And I would
Starting point is 00:31:45 pretend that I could. How'd you preach? Splashing water like all over me. But I never have been able to drip. You're like things that you wanted for yourself are very unique. You wanted to be able to drip sweat? This girl on the bus next to me was always
Starting point is 00:32:01 like dripping. Like, having to wipe her face constantly because it was beads of sweat. And I was like, I want that so bad. Because I was just flushed, you know? Sure. And it didn't feel fair. That she was able to.
Starting point is 00:32:18 That she was dripping like that. Yeah. God, I was pissed. That's a wet girl. Yeah. I wanted the opposite. It's really, really bad. And I was always humiliated every single day because I would sit in like AC and I would be drenched and sweat.
Starting point is 00:32:32 And it still is, and it's infliction. I still have. I want to get something. I want to get something fixed. I can get Botox, I guess,
Starting point is 00:32:43 maybe in my chest or something. Oh, don't be surprised if I come back looking a little bit different in a few weeks because I have a new
Starting point is 00:32:53 dermatologist appointment and I saw that there were so many things on the menu so I might like look into that. I want to get a lip-flip at the bare
Starting point is 00:33:06 minimum. So my lip does appear when I smile. What did you say? You have big lips. I do not have big lips. But my top lip disappears when I smile. See? They're bigger than mine.
Starting point is 00:33:20 Well, yes. But I also wonder if I get lip filler if my like water type of lips will fill in, you know? Yeah. So I'm going to ask about that, in that language. You know how my list is like giving water? Like if I got filler Sandy Water
Starting point is 00:33:52 Oh that's funny So I'm going to get a lip-flip I think That's fine And then possibly filler depending Sure And then I saw there were some A few other things that piqued my interest So
Starting point is 00:34:06 Don't they I'm not going to do anything to my face. What? Don't they suggest things for you? Yeah, I'm going to ask them what they think I need, but I don't want anything on my face, except for my lip flip. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Don't don't don't don't don't get, don't, don't let your eyes be bigger than your. No, I'm just talking about all this like cool sculpting stuff, which like could be a scam, but I'm really curious about it. That can't be, that can't hurt. I told you about when I just got. I told you. but when I got that facial the other day at that spa
Starting point is 00:34:42 Oh, I want microderm abrasion, whatever that means, yeah. When I was in Italy, but it was kind of all in Italian. And did I show you what they gave me to wear? You showed me personally. I don't know if you showed
Starting point is 00:34:58 the B&C community. I'd call her back in and be like, I don't know which side goes on the front of me. Yeah. And she was like, it's this one. I was like, what? that goes on the front of me like it's not going to work
Starting point is 00:35:13 for my facilities like it's just not what about it wasn't going to work it was like it was like splitting me down the middle like like it wouldn't have provided accurate coverage
Starting point is 00:35:30 no in fact it was like it was kind of like smishing me just kind of smushing me you were smished yeah but she was like it's fine because you'll be on your stomach and I was like then what are we doing here you know like why am I putting this on and it's a facial why am I putting on a thong I didn't like they weren't going down there at all no brooke like the times when I have gotten like a full body and then got naked and they're like
Starting point is 00:36:01 why are you naked and then I go in for a facial and she's like here's your dong I didn't know that yeah it was very weird maybe an italian thing yeah yes it actually was because even like the co-ed like the steam room I went into like a hay steam room which is just really dumb for someone that's like completely allergic to hay I was like why am I so it you in here but everyone was naked the guys and the these like older women and these older men were all naked and I was like I got to go this is like again then I looked on the outside of the thing and it was just like a clothing optional no the the naked body is so much less taxed. in some in Europe and so many other places.
Starting point is 00:36:51 Yeah, if I wouldn't have been so itchy, I was making everyone uncomfortable because I couldn't stop itching my, my body. From the hay. Hey now, hey now. But yeah, I broke out a lot after my facial, which just like, it was just like, what was the point of all that?
Starting point is 00:37:07 Yeah, maybe it was like all the bad stuff was coming out. That's a good way to think about it, but that also sounds like a scam. No, that happened when I was on Accutane. It was so scary. I wasn't on acutane. Sure. Oh, okay, sure.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Like, I paid for a $56. Oh, you would have loved acutane. No, I talk about water. That, like, I had a lot of friends that did. You can tell when someone's on it. Imagine my lips now, but on acutane. A lot of people, I mean, that is truly just like, you're going to have to go through the eye.
Starting point is 00:37:45 No, it's going to get worse before it gets better. It's just like, it was hard to watch. It's so funny because I guess like a lot of people were on it in high school. And I like didn't know what was going on. I just knew that a lot of people started looking like they had a condition. And like I just was like, I didn't put any of the pieces together until I went on it. And I was in, after college, I went on it. And then I looked in the mirror and realized like everyone that had that condition was on a
Starting point is 00:38:17 acutane and it was kind of like a massive brain blast yeah and this one guy this because this one guy's condition i didn't know what was going on like he was just so soaking wet greased up like literally like he put his head in a tub of azaleen and was also really red and i was like what happened to this kid like i would stare at him all all of history class because i was like what happened to this guy And then it all at once and suddenly, and all in that moment, I realized the guy was on Acutane and did dip his head in Vaseline because he had no choice. The guy had no choice but to slick his entire hair back with petroleum jelly and I get it. Now I get it. I wish he had just said something instead of making me guess.
Starting point is 00:39:09 I'm doing full head in the tub today. Yeah. Hi. We want to take a quick break to thank a sponsor of today's episode. Tumble. I just moved into a new apartment. I think I told you guys about that.
Starting point is 00:39:23 And finding a rug is weirdly one of the hardest parts of decorating my space. Kind of because my space is a very weird shape and build. Well, I'll find one that's gorgeous, but then I'm terrified to actually live on it because one coffee spill
Starting point is 00:39:35 or one muddy shoe could ruin it. And washable rugs always end up looking like a washable rug. That's why I've been so impressed with Tumble. Their rugs actually look like beautiful designer rugs, but they're made for real life. One of the coolest things is that rugs are spill-proof. Liquids beat up on the surface instead of soaking in, so you can just wipe them away before they become a stain. And when it does need a deeper clean, you can remove the rug from the pad and throw it right in the washing machine, even the larger sizes.
Starting point is 00:40:05 The rug pad is honestly genius, too. It tucks into hidden corner pockets underneath the rug, so everything stays in place without sliding around or bunching up. Tumble absolutely nailed the designs. They have so many styles that look elevated and timeless, and they're Okiotech certified. So they're made with non-toxic materials that are safe for kids, pets, and anyone hanging out on the
Starting point is 00:40:24 floor. It's one of those home upgrades that makes your space looky while also making your life easier. And I totally go my hundreds of thousands of homes have made the switch. Machine washable rugs made better. Starting point is 00:43:36 Accutane in and in itself is like you get a little nose job with it. How? What do you mean? It shrinks. It does something to like minimize pores and your nose genuinely shrinks. And I'm people think it's like a conspiracy, but it's not because when I got my nose job and the swelling wouldn't go down, my nose job doctor was like go on acutane because that will drastically reduce the swelling. And then I was like, I don't really want to go on acutin because my acne is not that. bad. And then a year later, my acne got really bad. And I went on acutane. And the swelling that had never gone down, went down like years after my nose job. And so I had gotten like a second nose job when I went on acutane. And so many people say who haven't even had nose jobs to begin
Starting point is 00:44:25 with that they have, their nose has shrunk. Alex Earle got an acutane nose job. Wow. Yeah. So I want to go on it again. Did it change your personality? Acutane? Yeah. No. I will, I wish. But I was on it when I was teaching.
Starting point is 00:44:46 And it really like your body just like hurts. It's a hell of a drug. Like your whole body hurts and feels like kind of like achy and brittle. It took me. Like your joints? Yeah. Like my back was always like, ugh. And I just felt like I was a really old person.
Starting point is 00:45:04 and I was 23 and I was always sitting on the floor with the kids and it took me genuinely 45 minutes to get up like with the help of the children like I would have to turn on to all fours and then like they would help me up they thought you're 400 yeah they thought you're that woman on shutter island yeah but I have I have no pictures of myself from that time and if I did you would see that all of my my lips at the corners were cracked open and I was constantly bleeding down my feet It was so hot. Have you talked to any of your kids? I guess it's only been what, like six years? Yes. Oh, not my kids, but they're parents. Yeah. And some have read the book and text me and they're like,
Starting point is 00:45:48 I remember this, like, about the preschool scenes. What would they remember? There's a part in Phoebe where like all of the kids are pregnant by shoving pillows under their shirts. Yes. And that's something that happened. in one of my preschool classes. Did you report that back to their parents?
Starting point is 00:46:10 It was just like a well-known fact because like they were like continuing to be pregnant at home too. Okay. It's a phase we all go through. Oh, absolutely. So that's been sweet. But I'm also like, okay, well don't like finish it.
Starting point is 00:46:28 Don't finish the book because it's like I don't want, I don't want you to think of me like as a romance writer. You have moved on. I understand what you're coming from. but they can't hold that. They can't hold you to that. You don't work there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:44 You good? Sorry. No, it just scared me because my new upstairs neighbor just texted me. Oh, what do you say? Well, we had been chatting because I've since found out some information about who I'm about to have an email conversation with and how they're not very super kind. So looking forward to that. Good.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Yes. What does your cat say? Lacoste. Oh, I thought I said La Cucci. No, it's a... La Cucci. Oh, gosh, it might as well. It looks like I'm full-blown lactating.
Starting point is 00:47:25 How about you stand up? Stand up and show us. What's going on in your underarms? Anything? No, you know what? It's weird. Not really. You know, my pits don't like, I don't have, like, pit stains in any of my shirts.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Like, a lot of my guy friends, like, you look at their white t-shirts and there's like a clear. Right. They're like, this is just like an undershirt because that's, you know, it like is a catch-all. I have to do some women, too. I might not be a dropper, but. The pits. Pits. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:05 I sweat on my chest and on my back. Which is awesome. I sweat on my back. Yeah. Oh my gosh. My pussy in my crack. Yeah. Those are going to be hot spots as well for me. My dreams and like I know it's not fun to hear about other people's dreams are so not okay in a way that I was like, okay, what am I doing that needs to stop in order to stop these dreams? So I stopped smoking and I'm still having these dreams and I don't know. It's like very disturbing graphic. like violent. Some are violent.
Starting point is 00:48:44 Some are like just really unacceptable in different ways. Are you able to them? I can't. I'll share one loosely while trying to avoid how graphic it was. But basically, you know, those sex therapists in Amsterdam that like you like have sex with. Oh, no. I'm not familiar with. They're like if you have like issues with like trauma or like intimacy, like,
Starting point is 00:49:10 you can be physical with these therapists in order to like break those barriers. Are they licensed practitioners? And I think it's legal in Amsterdam, yeah. It kind of seems like that might be off the book. It's not legal in the U.S. Okay. But there are shows about it. It's pretty interesting.
Starting point is 00:49:27 It's pretty interesting. But anyway, I was seeing one of these therapists and it was Antonio Banderas. I'll be honest about that. And I'll be honest about that. that. And we're having a session. I'm sure you were. I'm sure you absolutely were. I don't like I'm not getting into it, but the session was at an American Eagle. Okay. That's, I. Storefront. I get that. Storefront. And in a dressing room and Bryce from Love Island was working the counters and just like
Starting point is 00:50:09 the general retail space and just kept asking if, if we, if we have a dressing room. And, Have you doing okay in there? And then there was a very separate part of the dream that was like, there was like, like, there were like Nazis. And I was like, this is not. Like, pick one, pick one baby. Like, it's just, I'm really like, I'm disturbed. And I don't know how to make it stop.
Starting point is 00:50:36 It genuinely feels, and I'm just going to guess here, it genuinely feels like you're like just trying to cram everything in no one. No, it's all, it's, and there's death and violence in all of these dreams as well. No, it literally, it literally sounds like anxiety dream, wet dream. Like, I can't, like, these are not, like, I, like, sexual to me. Like, I'm not like, I like that dream. Like, there's nothing, there was nothing okay about what was happening. Were you, like, stressed in the fitting room that you were, like, we need that.
Starting point is 00:51:11 I did not want to go to, this. was like exposure therapy like this was not something i wanted to be doing oh yeah no have you have you have you watched what have you watched spy kids recently nope i don't know what he was doing there not all that's funny i mean and then i'm like in there hearing gunshots too and i'm so i googled like why like i'm having like the most like disturbed dreams like violent like all of this stuff and it says that I have too much anxiety going on in real life that like my subconscious is trying to process. But like I feel like it's not the anxiety
Starting point is 00:51:53 that I'm experiencing in real life isn't warranting this type of subconscious response. It doesn't warrant it. It feels really severe. And there's no new medication I'm taking. I don't know. This has been for like a week and a half. All Antonio?
Starting point is 00:52:11 No, all different. That's like the one I feel comfortable sharing. The others are like pretty much like so much worse. Okay. Going like a long walk before bed. I should do like milk. I should have like warm milk and cookies and like read a children's book. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:35 My dream journal is popping off. I'll say that. I bet. Are you filling it out regularly? Mm-hmm. I'm, I can't, I haven't had any dreams as of, late. But my like Sunday to Monday, my Sunday night to Monday dreams are always like all completely like your plane's going down. I'll have dreams that I have already woken up and I've started my day.
Starting point is 00:53:05 And then when I wake up, I'm like, oh my God, crap. Like I'm behind. Do you still have the Sunday, the Sunday scaries? No. Not like Sunday scaries, but like, oh my gosh, like if it always feels weird going into Monday and like not having done any productive activities for like like when my college friends are here I was like kind of just like took off Friday like in my calendar. I just kind of like was like reunion this weekend. And so Sunday like not having had contact just like going to bed and Monday I know that I'm going to get like emails and followups and stuff. I was just like oh crap. But that's okay. That's kind of just like what a weekend is. I always had the Saturday scary's growing up because Sunday was Hebrew school, which I hated.
Starting point is 00:53:56 And I liked school, so I didn't, I was fine to go to wake up on Monday. I did not feel okay waking up on Sunday. Because of Hebrew school. Because of Heber school. Yeah, I had to go to church every Sunday morning. So I was, there'd be some, I remember there was one time, like the hardest day of my, my life growing up, which is an awesome complaint. was that we stayed up all night because, and this is really, really insane to say, I'm gonna say it because, like, I want you to say it.
Starting point is 00:54:29 I have to. There's like a prank that was like going around. And this is like when I told, I already told everyone we were kind of like punks for a little bit in like junior high, you know? Like we would pull print, like we'd toilet paper people's houses and we'd like, I don't know, but someone pooped in a golf hole. That's disgusting. Yeah. They definitely...
Starting point is 00:54:59 And you were in on it? Yeah, it was like a group of us. I actually remember whose name it was, but I'm not going to say... I was going to say, do you know the shitter? Yeah, I know the... Are you still in touch? No, I'm not, but like, this is like a grown man, and I'm not going to, like, out him for pooping in the golf hole posthumously,
Starting point is 00:55:18 by 15 years. You know, like, it's just like no real. Statute of limitations run out. Yeah, that it is true. But like, I guess the prank was that like this,
Starting point is 00:55:27 like a golfer, an innocent, a genuinely innocent golfer was going to hit a ball in the whole. No, I know what the prank is. Yeah. Go pick up his ball. And it was just be covered in poop.
Starting point is 00:55:38 I'm wondering, like, if I was on a date with someone and they, and I was like, what's the worst thing you've ever done? It's like true, like the drama starring Zendaya. and Robert Pattinson.
Starting point is 00:55:49 I haven't seen it yet. Oh, okay. Well, there's basically just like the conversation they have is what's the worst thing you've ever done? And they all go around an answer. And if they told me that, that they pooped in an unsuspecting victim's golf hole, I think that that's that. And it wasn't even nice meeting you and that's it. I'll never see you again.
Starting point is 00:56:12 Yeah. That's pretty bad to me. I'm aligned. I do know, like, from someone else's high school, who's high school was this? I think it was, I think it was someone else's high school in Texas. Oh, I know who's high school was. There was like a guy and this girl that would come to, like, all the parties. And there was like nothing, it was not like a bullying thing, even though it totally was.
Starting point is 00:56:39 But like, they would always prank the same girl that would like come to parties. And someone would go out and poop on her windshield of her car. That breaks my heart. I know. And it was just like, it stopped actually being funny to everyone. And like the dude kept like, look, I did it again. And people are like, why are you still? Like, we have moved on and you're still at the restaurant and the restaurant being her windshield.
Starting point is 00:57:06 I actually like, never mind. Like I can't. This is like a little bit grossing me out. Oh my gosh. No, I don't like pooping on things that aren't inside of a toilet. Okay. Like that's actually not something I like. Should we cut this out?
Starting point is 00:57:21 No. I'm just saying like that's why I'm getting grossed out. I'm fine to discuss pooping into toilets. Well, yeah. Or stomach trouble. I told my roommate this weekend that I used to sneak this pair of pants that I really, really liked of his out of the house and wear them to work because I had my internship that I would have to go to and I like didn't have like a good pair of these pants that like fit so well.
Starting point is 00:57:48 And I left work early because I had a stomach. Make a cake and I got all the way home from work and then felt safe and then had to buy him a new pair of pants. Your Bluetooth connected. Yeah, it was definitely like that situation. Like you feel safe and then it was just like you shouldn't have. Yeah. Oh, you really shouldn't have. Yeah, bought him a new pair of pants.
Starting point is 00:58:07 But he was like always confused why I got him the new pants. And I was just like, like you let me wear yours all the time. What did he think happen to the original? I gave him back. Did you get them like dry clean? Yeah. Yeah. There's a lot of money for a sophomore in college.
Starting point is 00:58:30 Yeah. New pair of pants and dry cleaning? Yeah. Okay. We can move forward. Now that we've gotten that out of the way. That was the right thing to do. That was the right thing to do.
Starting point is 00:58:39 Move forward? No. Buy him a new pair of pants. Yeah. And now that we've done that, We didn't talk last week about the wedding that happened in New York. And I think that... We didn't.
Starting point is 00:58:57 I know. I feel like that was just like due diligence we should have. Yeah, I agree. I was out of town, so I didn't see it happen. I'm thankful I was out of town because I think that was the day that there was like the heat advisory in New York. And like all the elevators went down and then you couldn't get uptown or down. I guess because of the MSG shutoffs. But I don't know anything about it.
Starting point is 00:59:25 So that's all I mean. I mean neither, but I am itching to see photos. I don't know if we will we? We will. You think if they haven't released anything, you think they're still going to release photos of Taylor Swift's wedding? I do.
Starting point is 00:59:41 It's been... I think at least she'll post something. It's been like 10 days. No, I think we'll see something. I really do. I don't know how they could make that look like not in Madison Square Garden. I have heard that you would not in one million years know you were in Madison Square Garden. How do you know?
Starting point is 01:00:07 Who'd you hear that from? Just like random people who know people who know people who know people. But like multiple people have said that. Like you would just never know that you're in Madison Square Garden. I know someone who knows someone who knows someone who were like ushers or something. Oh. That being said, everyone was like it wasn't my taste, but like you wouldn't have known you were in Madison Square Garden, that's for sure, regardless of if you liked the vibe or not, which I don't, I mean, I'm truly so happy for her. Like, you will never find me having anything negative to say about like a hopeless romantic, like getting their happy ending.
Starting point is 01:00:49 Like, I really, I'm so happy for her. I agree. I bet it was so fun. I also just like seeing Benson Boone, which makes sense. I just forget that like Benson Boone is like that level now. You know, but Benson Boone was like a TikToker with us. He was? He was like American Idol, but like he was like a TikTok person. Like he was very much like, I think, I'm pretty sure.
Starting point is 01:01:17 He was on American Idol? I think he tried out. Yeah. How far did he get? Like I think he was like a Justin Beon. or someone discovered him. Top 24. Not too shabby. Is it? The top 24?
Starting point is 01:01:34 He withdrew voluntarily. Despite Katie Perry predicting he could win the entire thing. He decided to leave so he could focus on his original music and career path. Can I be honest? I think that's a great move. American Idol's not getting anyone anywhere nowadays. Sad. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:53 But Benzimmy was in. I don't know anyone else who went. I know that... Everyone went. I know. Except for Margaret Quali. Yeah. Because her and Jack are splitting.
Starting point is 01:02:06 Rip in peace. Which, as I take six months to read Lena Dunham's memoir, good for her. I know. That's also in my boxes after I purchased it. I have a wedding when I don't have a suit for it. And I want to say very quickly, it is definitely hard for like like girls should find something to wear for sure
Starting point is 01:02:32 but like I would love to just put on a dress you know wearing it because I'm sweating so much thinking about me wearing a three-piece suit in this 92 degree heat is making me so so so so scared you could do a kilt I could do a kilt do you have any Scottish roots
Starting point is 01:02:53 probably pretty much why does they come? So yeah. I have a kilt. I have a kilt in my closet. Should I do a kilt? Airflow. What?
Starting point is 01:03:07 Do a kilt for some airflow. I'm trying to think. Do you wear underwear under a kilt? Yes, Connor. That's something that like you could have answered that on your own. If you thought about it for one second. Do you wear underwear with a, Kilt. Whether you were under or under, Kilt is entirely a matter of personal preference.
Starting point is 01:03:34 Is it a kilt like a skort? Are there shorts under there? No, it touches your knees. I'll just keep my legs close like a lady. You would be fully just like. B and C out. That's not okay. That's like genuinely. Why? Why are you? Why are you shouldn't be looking? Don't look up my skirt. Wait, I'm, I guess I'm thinking of like plaid mini skirts. I'm not going to wear miniskry to a wedding.
Starting point is 01:04:03 What? How long are kilts? Blow your knees. Not below your knees, are they? Connor, you're going to be spinning around at that wedding. You're the one who's talking about how much you love to. Look at that guy's butt. Okay.
Starting point is 01:04:23 Wear underwear under your quilt. I'm not going to wear a quilt. If you make the conscious decision not to wear underwear under your quilt and you flash someone, that you are a flasher. Like that's an intentional flash. Whether you meant to flash someone in that moment, you making the conscious decision to not wear underwear,
Starting point is 01:04:43 I would say makes you a certified flasher just as much as someone with a coat that would open it on the street. I honestly believe that. That guy's walking over like a Marilyn Monroe style great. Like that's not going to happen to me.
Starting point is 01:04:59 You're going to just there's going to be a wind. You're going to. gonna spin on the dance floor. Why are there all these photos of like, Kilt upskirts? And Izzy, what did you Google? Do you wear underwear?
Starting point is 01:05:12 Oh, I thought you just Googled like, Kilt. Yeah, no, I, uh, I'm not gonna wear kilt anyways, so I'm not too worried about it. That will be fun. Oh. What's going on?
Starting point is 01:05:29 Sorry, put my hip. Um, and I had like stuff to do. Like, I gotta get back. Have you seen the Odyssey things? What? The press tour for Odyssey. I haven't really watched any of it except for like Anne Hathaway being aferial.
Starting point is 01:05:49 Who? Anne Hathaway. Oh, yeah. She's pregnant. Yeah. What is she wearing on her head? It looks like a little mini-Eiffel Tower. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:06:03 This is like the most famous people ever, you know? I'm actually like excited to see this where like I don't think that there's any other world in which I'd be excited to see the Odyssey if it weren't just like this cast who I consider family. No, I do. I feel the same way. Did you hear Rob was the only one to ask to read the script when he was asked to be in it? Really? Yeah. No, I didn't hear that.
Starting point is 01:06:35 Oh, I heard it. That's very cool of him. He's cool. I can speak from personal experience. He's a cool guy. Oh, wow. Yeah, you do. Yeah, he's like a good guy.
Starting point is 01:06:49 Yeah, this is something I really want to see is someone who didn't take American history so much, but I did take Greek mythology in high school. We focused more on the Greek gods than the United States and its history, which a testament to public school, but also. I really, really, like, perked up when it came to Greek mythology. And that's, this is like Homer's The Odyssey, right? Yeah. Okay, so this movie and then Young Washington, I'm like over the moon. This is my- What's Young Washington?
Starting point is 01:07:21 It's like, like, what would you think Young Washington might be? Just like a story about, like, Washington as a general, probably. Yeah. They made him, they're making a movie. Who's playing Washington? I don't know him. I don't know him. They made him like really, really young.
Starting point is 01:07:40 Ben Kingsley. He was in Shutter Island. Yeah. I don't know any of these people actually. Mary Louise Parker, I love. Yeah, I want to see this really bad. Wait, have you watched the new Larry David show at all? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:57 How is it? I hear it's just curb. What? I hear it's just curb again. It is, but it's also like they're going through like the writing of the Declaration of Independence. and the ratifications and like all there's a bunch of different players like bin franklins it's it's funny okay and then they kind of just like they personify like Thomas Jefferson as Larry David
Starting point is 01:08:24 like he makes the original declaration of independence which is like that what is it what did they call that thing? Mm-hmm. Bill of Rights. Nope. No, it's like the thing. It was like a wrap. Oh, I know.
Starting point is 01:08:40 I know. Do not say it because I know. I know it too. Articles of Confederation. I was about to get there. I was going through the Hamilton set list. Oh, sorry. That's just something I pulled from the back. My head. But it's the Articles of Confederation. And then they like ratified it all together. But they just put like, like, in the first episode, they just have like Larry being like, yeah. And like, boys shouldn't fan themselves. He's like, I don't want to see my son doing this.
Starting point is 01:09:08 that one was everyone was like yeah no me too and he's like people shouldn't take deep breaths outside people shouldn't share an umbrella and he put that in it that's kind of funny
Starting point is 01:09:18 okay it's like my kind of humor yeah I looked it up to watch and then I just started watching curb it said
Starting point is 01:09:28 I started watching and I did get on my phone but there's a forward by Obama which I thought yeah I saw that on TikTok yeah okay I got a
Starting point is 01:09:38 I gotta go pee. Me too. I just have to say. All right. Well, I'll see you in the bonus then. Okay. I'm gonna flip on the EC for just a minute.
Starting point is 01:09:45 Okay, if that's fine. If that's okay. Yep. All right. And we'll see you guys. Nursed or? X.O.
Starting point is 01:09:50 Do you have any like housekeeping, anything? I think next week will not be us. It will be you and Brittany X. Mickey. Oh, next week? I think so. Because we'll be on our special adventure together.
Starting point is 01:10:01 We'll be studying abroad. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. All right. We'll see you guys there. Okay.
Starting point is 01:10:06 Maybe. Bye.
