Bros & Shows - 50 Cynt & ATL Showing Out (RHUGT Full Recap S5E5)

Episode Date: September 9, 2026

What's up bros??? We're still in ATL for the tail-end of the party that seemed like the beginning of the Lisa Barlow witch hunt but maybe there is some truth to what Gizelle is thinking about LB even ...in spite of Heather's unbelievably annoying performance at this party. We spend a great deal discussing Heather Gay and that's probably exactly what she wanted but maybe not in the light we speak about it. Other than that, there's a lot of really good nostalgia for Atlanta with Nene at the center and isn't that exactly what we wanted? Next up, Miami! Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:00 This episode of Ultimate Girl's Trip honestly just made me sad that it's only nine episodes. I want more. I want a full season of this cast, especially with all the shit popping off with Lisa. I'll talk about when we get into the episode, but I too fell for something that we'll get into in a little bit. But that being said, I really wish this was like 12 to 13 episodes because I'm having so much fun watching this. It does kind of feel like a speed run at times. at the same time, we always say the ultimate girl's trip really starts when they start
Starting point is 00:00:34 getting aggravated with each other. And that's starting now. So it's almost like they should start with episode one, show everybody happy, jump to episode four, but it's really episode two, and then give us seven episodes where they finally understand each other and they don't like each other. And then give me seven episodes of that. That's good because we're getting there.
Starting point is 00:00:51 As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh man, it's eight o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm Karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Brov Bros.
Starting point is 00:01:10 Good evening, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Brav Bros. Your favorite podcast from The Bros. For everybody, for whoever wants to listen, I'm your co-host, Neil Russell, joined as always by the one at only 50 Goots. What's up, dude? Yeah, isn't that the best? That's the second time the city is done.
Starting point is 00:01:30 favorite yeah it's fantastic she really buys into the character um she looks and it just shows you she's a hot dude i i think i just love it more because we're so used to like the main cast members full-time cast members from all the different housewife shows showing up and they've got it ready to roll like you know what you're doing in atlanta you've got this all planned out you've got your team behind you figuring out what you're going to do for your alter ego 50 cent is way better than everything that they've done for the full-time cast members for this show. Yeah, and I mean, the best part about 50 Cent is that she has transcended that one episode
Starting point is 00:02:10 where she came on screen. I forget what season that was. But since that day, like this has been a character that's been clamored for. Everybody wants to see 50 Cent again. And we got her, him. But like I said, she's a hot dude.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Like I get it. Everyone's looking around. Everybody wants to bang Cynthia. As she walks around that. party. Heather is such a loser. Like she's trying to be like there's a segue in there. You just go right to. Yeah. She's just a loser because like her going up and obviously she was enamored with with Cynthia. But if you watch her like she literally makes the rounds and goes from one person to the next trying to snuggle up to the cool kids. Like she goes to Lou. She's speaking French. Even though
Starting point is 00:02:54 her French is horrible according to Luanne. She goes up to Cynthia and does that whole thing. She goes up to Candice and they cross up her ass. It's like literally one after another. But my favorite part of the party was such a small part. But it made me laugh every time Kim Zolciak was on screen, she found the camera. She looked right at the camera every single time. I was like, God, you want to be back here, don't you? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:20 It's really funny because there's a lot of that going on. I mean, this is our first. I guess Kyle's White Party did have a lot of ex-house wives, but some reason for me, It seems like there were so many more ex-housewives going around the mix. They're more active. This is a more active group than the White Party. And we already had our practice at the White Party looking at all the different housewives
Starting point is 00:03:43 and seeing whether or not they wanted to get their moment in the sun. They wanted to see if they could find the camera. So maybe they could find their way back or maybe on to another show or whatever it might be. This one hits so much harder because you're really kind of keen in on certain people. Like, oh, yeah, yeah, you want to have your moment. This is not your time to have a moment. And that goes for Heather. Honestly, it really does go for Heather.
Starting point is 00:04:04 I mean, this was so apparent that she is so upset that Lisa Barlow got selected for this and not her. Like, she, I kind of want to get mad at the producers of this show in sending, you know, two straight parties. We're going to send Salt Lake people. Like, I kind of get what you're trying to do. But knowing that it's only a couple of days after the reunion aired, you know that tensions are going to be high. we already got Lisa in a good mood and she's making friends and we see that with Teresa. Why do this?
Starting point is 00:04:37 It tells me all the wrong things about what we're doing with Salt Lake City. It's like, oh, no, we got to keep going. We got to keep pushing. We got to pick up cameras right away. And we saw that. It started after the Monica Garcia season. They picked up cameras right after the season stops because they're like,
Starting point is 00:04:50 we have to get it fresh. They're doing it again, but it's worse. And it's worse because of one person. And that's Heather. Because I thought that Angie was fine. I thought that even to an extent Whitney and Brahmin were okay at the white party, they kept their distance. They didn't go after her. But Heather showed up with an agenda, one, because she's not on the show and she really wanted to be on the show.
Starting point is 00:05:10 And two, because she still has to go after Lisa. And that's what she does now. And that's what it tells me that we're going to have to look forward to for next season is that's all she's going to continue to do. And it's just so tiring. It's really funny that we've had multiple people now comment. Now that we both have our streaming setups, you know, comment down in the chat, chat or whatever they say in Twitch or what kick. What do the people do now? Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Yeah. Whatever the fuck it is. But you have Heather Gay's book behind your head. We've had multiple people comment. Can Shooter please remove the Heather Gay book because it drives me done? I guess I could. Which is very funny. I don't care if you move it.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Oh, wow. Well, there you go, everybody. If you don't have YouTube, you're missing out. He's moving Heather Gay off. the show in real time in real time but i hear what you're saying and i'm not in any way shape or form saying you're wrong i do at least for this show i'm i'm trying to watch it through the frame of just this cast i can understand production wanting to send salt lake housewife to this too because what it's going to do is presumably what it does in meaning now the group is starting
Starting point is 00:06:25 to key in on and this is what I fell for too because we were watching this whole entire season so far and I'm like God lay off a Lisa like let her have fun this that the other then I'm this episode I'm like ah Lisa's not clean all of us either like you know she does stupid shit she's it's not like she doesn't say things to people so then I kind of like came back to earth a little bit was like all right yeah there are two sides to every story Heather sucks that's not what I'm saying by any means but with like Angie you know is a little bit more reasonable some of the time. So I was like, oh, yeah, Lisa can be an asshole. And this whole group is enamored with Lisa currently. But then you have her late to the bus. And then she's like, I'm not apologizing until I want to.
Starting point is 00:07:04 I'm like, ah, there she is. Okay. So I think that by bringing the housewives from Salt Lake to this one, too, maybe production, this might be giving them a lot of credit, realize that if you can start a fire with Lisa amongst this cast, the House of the Ultimate Girls trip cast, then there might be some decent drama here because you know damn well. Even if it's a group of new ladies that she doesn't know very well, Lisa Barlow is going to be Lisa Barlow for better or worse. And that's why we love her on our screens because she is so unapologetically herself that she's always the victim no matter what's going on. So I think that that's bringing a fun aspect to this show where I didn't expect to watch a cast of five different shows of different eras come together and have a common enemy.
Starting point is 00:07:50 and we're starting to get that with Lisa, which is really fun because it kind of breaks down amongst the group where they're like, wait a minute. I've known Lisa for a while. I really like Lisa. But I guess I've only seen her at events and Bravo events, like Face Value. I've never really gotten to know Lisa.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Is Angie right? Was Broadwin and Whitley right? Like, that's kind of fun. I look, and I'm totally fine with it. I think that I understand fully, and that's why I brought it up, that the producers doing this so close to when the reunion aired, so close to when Salt Lake season was over.
Starting point is 00:08:21 They knew what they were doing and they were going to get some drama out of it. And they also knew what they were going to get when you throw Heather in a room with her. I mean, that's what Heather's been doing. I do like to act and we do this a lot when we talk about producers and the teams that go into each show.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Acting like they're completely blind to all of this or they think that it's a good thing. They're not. They know exactly what they're going to get. And I'm not even really mad about it. It's just a personal preference. I'm sick and tired of every season for the last three seasons, just being a Lisa Barlow witch hunt.
Starting point is 00:08:49 I agree. She does things. She does things that aggravate people. She's unapologetic and she doesn't want to do it. But the more that we push that agenda, the more unapologetic she's going to get. And we've hit a breaking point now where it's going to be annoying because they're not, they're just relentless at this point on the other end. And Lisa just is steadfast in not explaining herself because she doesn't feel like she has to. And I don't really blame her because I wouldn't explain myself to these people either with their pitchforks.
Starting point is 00:09:14 So it is tough. And I fully understand why they did it. And I get it. And I'm okay with it. It's just tough to watch on the heels of that season, knowing what happened at that reunion and also this close to the next season. That's my only problem, but I understand, obviously, that is right now the trademark of Salt Lake City, is everybody going after Lisa Barlow.
Starting point is 00:09:33 So we have to include that. And it is sort of the perfect storm. And this is just a nice little equation that worked out well for everybody that's working on this show anyway, is that now you do have other people like a Giselle sitting there, Luann, sitting there saying, oh wow, maybe they were right. Maybe there is something here to Lisa. And look, this would have been, this would have happened anyway.
Starting point is 00:09:53 I mean, we talk about this. They are, they are unbelievably under so much pressure, not of the show, not of their own doing, but just from the travel schedule. They're all over the place. They're worried about a snowstorm coming in like this was inevitable.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Whether it be Lisa, whether it be Teresa coming down, someone's going to get ticked off that they're taking too long, and this is going to happen. So I think this would have happened regardless, but on the heels of having that discussion, of like, wait a minute, Lisa's always been super nice to me. I'm going to stand right here.
Starting point is 00:10:21 Like, I think it was Kyle that said that. Teresa said it too. Teresa stood like stood right next to her and held her hand. Teresa loved Teresa this episode. Teresa's hilarious. She's great. I want her to ride at some point too because who cares? It's inconsequential.
Starting point is 00:10:34 If you ride for Lisa Barlow against Giselle, what does that do for Teresa up in New Jersey? Nothing, really. Maybe we talk about it again in five years or six years to another ultimate girl trip. But I want to see something like that because that's the other piece that's been missing from Salt Lake City is that Meredith is just doing Meredith thing. She's all over the place. She's not really standing up for Lisa. Let's see someone go hard for Lisa and see what we have.
Starting point is 00:10:57 So I want to see some of that. But yeah, it's just tough to be able to analyze that and dig through when Heather Day is standing right in your face. Because I'm just going to disagree with her because I'm just sick and tired of what she brings to the show. That's really what it comes down to. No, and I respect that. I think that resonates also with a lot of our audience members.
Starting point is 00:11:16 so it's not unfounded by any means. I'm trying my best to just keep this show, this show. Keep the main thing, the main thing. What's that dude from The Bachelor? I kept saying that, Bachelorette. Oh, yeah, I know. We can give it back to Jalen Hurts. Yeah, I'll give it back to Jalen now.
Starting point is 00:11:31 But Teresa, God, like, this is the Teresa. I miss on my screen, dude. It was fucking gold. And it was so good because she's not trying too hard. She's simply being herself. She flashes back through a moment from ultimate. Ultimate Girls trip won, I believe. And Kenya went to bat for her because we had the,
Starting point is 00:11:52 the scarecrow comment from Ramona. Ramona Singer dropped the, it's like a scarecrow. Like if I only had a brain and Kenney went to bat for her. Teresa says, nobody's ever, ever done something that nice for me. That's sad.
Starting point is 00:12:08 And so funny. But she's like, you know what? Here's my moment to reciprocate that. I'm team Barlow for life. I don't think she is. anymore. I think when she was doing her makeup at the end and Lisa was like trying to snuggle up and she just kind of silenced her. I don't know if she's team Barlow anymore, but watching her
Starting point is 00:12:27 force this thing to have a moment, not to like have the cameras on her, but more so for herself. She's like, I need this to be a full circle thing. Somebody stood up for me and damn it, I'm going to stand up for somebody too. She just got a hover. Did you think it was weird though? I was surprised that they even let that slide. I mean, obviously, Teresa doesn't understand what's going on. I'm surprised that made the final cut that we were referencing Kenya and going back. I know we're in Atlanta and Kenya is such an iconic figure of Atlanta, but I really thought that she had birthed that bridge so much last year with all of the things
Starting point is 00:12:59 that went down at the show and tell, if you want to call it that, that I really thought we wouldn't even be able to make a reference. And you didn't see it up until that point. And Teresa, of all people, making the reference and then getting the flashback afterwards. I'm like, oh, we had her on the screen. Maybe it's not as bad at Bravo as we thought it was. That means the door is still open. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Door is still open. We thought door was slam shot. We thought door was sealed shut. Door might be slightly open for a Kenya return. Yeah, that may very well have been a soft launch of houses received. Kimmy put her back on the screen without a bunch of backlash. I think because what she did was deplorable. I'll never be okay with that.
Starting point is 00:13:36 I'll think anybody should be. And if she's never back, I totally get it. But I mean, who knows? Especially with Bravo. They could easily bring her back. I wouldn't be shocked if they do. I wouldn't be shocked if they leave her off. Or maybe they work her into something like this.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Like if there's another ultimate girl's trip, she goes to one of the parties to soft launch her a little bit harder and so on and so forth. But I don't forget, but it's nice to be reminded. And we talked about this last week in Atlanta, how iconic Atlanta is. You know, you have all of these moments of all these heavy hitters coming back. Marlowe shows up in a garbage truck and steps out of it. I did not think that got enough attention. I thought that was awesome.
Starting point is 00:14:15 She by Shire. Shirey makes her appearance. We get the who go and check me boo line, which is obviously written in the annals of Bravo. All of these different moments from all of these Atlanta stars really show and remind you how good that show was. And it's getting back to form now. I want to give them credit because they had a great season.
Starting point is 00:14:36 But they were, it's hard to argue that they aren't the best franchise in the history of Housewives. Like the OG Atlanta crew. The Housewives are not Housewives without Atlanta. that's the whole thing and i think that's probably as funny as it might be it's probably eye opening for a lot of people watching ultimate girl's trip now i would also say that those certain people that are watching ultimate girls trip are probably uh skipping these episodes like i can't wait watch i guys yeah i know what you're saying can't wait to get to miami uh even miami i don't
Starting point is 00:15:06 really care for my i can't wait till we get to new york that's probably what they're saying thanks yes it's just really fucking funny but yeah i mean there's just so much going on there and i love obviously you know you get nini with her grand entrance which was well deserved as well same thing though we talked about this last week it's kind of funny getting a grand entrance where everybody's really excited we've now seen her like four times so it's like wow great grand entrance but that's it now it's like all right get up there and start talking but uh there's a lot of things going on here and and i hate to circle back to to heather but we seem to circle we seem to circle back within the episode like seven or eight times to heather because that is the main sticking point even
Starting point is 00:15:44 though we're in Atlanta, we're talking about Heather and Lisa and we're talking about Lisa standing in the group and who she is and whatever might come along with that. I was watching Heather and she went out to smoke a cigarette because she just wanted to talk shit. We haven't seen Heather smoke a cigarette and but look.
Starting point is 00:16:00 She said I don't smoke. She said that to Luanne and then went out to smoke. Yeah, probably to talk shit. That plus she wanted to be cool. She wants to be cool with Luan. Every move she made at this party with everybody there was to sound or look cool, which makes you look like a loser.
Starting point is 00:16:18 Well, thankfully, somebody online had some pretty good eyes on the scene. Heather was sitting there. She can't even get a fucking right to smoke a cigarette. She's smoking a cigarette and half of it is burnt and the ash is just sitting there. She's not even flicking it. Yeah, that actually is true. That is the epitome of what you're going to get with Heather. She's faking it to try to talk shit.
Starting point is 00:16:39 All she's doing is pulling each person aside from the cast to say essentially, what have you noticed from Lisa? Well, that's not the Lisa that I know. It's so tired. I am just dumb with all of these things. And it should not be taking center stage. Yes, if it's a means to an end to get to the point where people are questioning Lisa's behavior within the show and we see that as we move forward and we go to Miami and then New York. Yeah, sure, absolutely. There's other ways to do it. Throwing Heather out there is not the way to do it. It's already done without Heather there. It is late for the flight. It's like, boom, there you go. That's literally all you need.
Starting point is 00:17:14 And obviously the women from Potomac get together, which I don't know if you saw, but they released the cast photos today. Guess who is front and center? Oh, Stacey. She's got her champagne. As she should.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Yes, well deserved. I was so happy for that one. Not happy for Robin to come back. Again, another soft launch, even though she is coming back. Oh,
Starting point is 00:17:36 she is back. I wasn't sure if that was confirmed. Oh, yeah, that's confirmed. Her and Monique are the only two friends. Yeah. I'm not surprised.
Starting point is 00:17:44 but yeah they kind of gathered talk about karen which is kind of funny but it's mostly it was really funny because i forgot she went to prison yeah yeah exactly yeah that is actually very funny a quick reminder about that but i thought it was even funnier we're going around and this is part for the part for the course when we're going through all of different shows and all the women on the show and you get their other castmates together we're talking about iconic moments like it's it's very forced but you learn to just kind of accept it and then you get to get some flashbacks and you're really excited about that. Giselle just kind of shoehorned in a Robin moment.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Like, oh, wow, season one with you and your wedding dress. It's like, really? We're going to talk about Robin's wedding. Do you know what happened at the end of her tenure? She had a fake wedding to wand and then all those allegations came out and then she got kicked off the show. Yeah, let's talk about that. But going around the horn talking to pretty much everybody and even throwing in Karen,
Starting point is 00:18:38 Stacey's in the back chirp and like, oh, yeah, we got to get Kansas over here. We got the Potomac crew. She knows what she's doing. We're still at the tipping point for Giselle and Stacey. Giselle knows that she wants to love Stacey, but you just can't do it. And I'm really excited to see that this season when that comes out in October. But my favorite thing was going around the horn and then going to Giselle. Wow, Giselle, you are the queen of Potomac.
Starting point is 00:19:01 You've been here the whole time. You set all of this in motion. This show wouldn't be. Let's talk about some of your iconic moments and everyone just freezes. Because her moments are other people's moments. That's the problem. And look, we've, we've grown to accept it and the show was great as it was with Jazele doing the thing that she does. I'm getting a little slightly annoyed because she's doing the same thing every episode it seems.
Starting point is 00:19:25 But, yeah, she's showing up to work and trying to produce some drama on this show. But I thought that was incredibly funny. Like, hey, let's talk about your, oh, you had a T-shirt, yep, which the T-shirt was funny. But that's it. You've been on the show for a very long time. You don't have any iconic moments of your own. We saw Robin with her wedding dress, but we didn't get to see anything from Jizel. Like, let's go into Jamal.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Let's talk a little bit about that. Maybe that was more along your lines. I mean, that's the funny thing with Jazeel. And I agree. You know, I'm not going to sit here and act like she's not the glue that holds Potomac together, especially since Karen and that whole thing went down. Yeah, it's true. And yeah, she brings a ton to the show.
Starting point is 00:20:02 She's the straw that stirs the drama there. But to your point, she's involved in everyone else's shit. She herself doesn't have a lot of moments where it's like, oh, you remember when Giselle did X, Y, or Z? It's like, oh, no, remember when so-and-so was going through X, Y, or Z, and Jizel added to it? Yeah, that's what she does. And that's why she's great, 90% of the time. That's why 10% of the time, it's like, all right, dude, we get it.
Starting point is 00:20:28 And, like, for this show, I'm not going to get frustrated at her pushing the plot, only because we have nine episodes and she's trying to make something work. I don't think she was prepared for the Lisa Barlow thing to kind of fall into her lap. I think that's going to be a fun one because I think everyone's kind of blindsided. Everyone there had known her for face value. Like, oh, yeah, she's delightful. He's always very nice. And now they're getting to see the real Lisa, which, yeah, she's tough to get along with.
Starting point is 00:20:56 That's kind of the reason that Salt Lake goes the way it goes, not saying that you're not wrong in this incessant need to try to pile on and get her to admit something. Like, that's where we get held up with that. But, yeah, there's a totally different side to Lisa Barlow that you are not. going to get to know because you asked her to apologize once you set that tone she's going to go oh fuck all of you you're not going to tell me what to do i'm lisa fucking barlow watch this that's going to be interesting to watch the shake out from that and we'll talk more about that towards the end we'll take a quick little ad break right here and we'll get right back to the rest of ultimate

Starting point is 00:23:07 I feel like we all have that section of our closet filled with clothes that we keep tailing ourselves that we're going to wear again. I promise. We're definitely going to wear that shirt again, even though it didn't really fit that well, even though I didn't really get any compliments, or it still has the tags on it and I actually never wore it, but I have an idea that I might wear it. And I've been trying to be better about cleaning out my closet. And Vinted makes it really easy to actually do something with the stuff that I'm not wearing. Vinted is a secondhand marketplace app where you can sell your clothes you no longer wear and make some extra money while giving those pieces a second life. And the thing I really like about Vinted is how simple the selling process is
Starting point is 00:23:43 is because it could be a headache. A lot of those other sites are very, very stressful, but all you have to do is list your item. And when it sells, Vinted creates the prepaid shipping label for you. So you don't have to do all that stuff yourself. Plus, there's no seller fees. So you keep everything you earn. And the Vinted app is free to download, which makes it really easy to just start listing some of those pieces that you have sitting in your closet day after day. Honestly, it's a great feeling to clear out some of that space, get some extra money along the way, and then you use that money toward refreshing your wardrobe. Maybe with some pieces that you'll actually wear this time around. Ready to clean out your closet and make some extra money? Download the Vinted app for free and

But as we work through the party, I mean, you get more great moments. You get to see Sway, my favorite. She's there as Frankie, who I guess is the real name of Ricky from I Love Lucy. A little known back there. And it kind of centers in on the Salt Lake crew,
Starting point is 00:28:44 as we've already talked about this for the most part. But as far as pushing this show forward, I understand what this is saying about Salt Lake. And I think you and I are on the same exact page. And there is cause for concern there. But I do think that this was premeditated by production at this juncture. After seeing this and the buildup to get here, Bronwyn and Whitney beforehand,
Starting point is 00:29:12 I do think that they saw this show. How do we inject some drama into this? Because what we're seeing when you have the heavy hitters together, when you have a lot of the top housewives in a cast, I don't know how much organic drama is going to come out of this. Because I think they're all just going to be thrilled to be with one another, thrilled to be on camera, and talk about how great their own individual.
Starting point is 00:29:36 individual shows are. The only real drama we would get is like, well, my show is better than yours. No, it's not my show's better than yours. Other than that, I don't think they would go toe to toe. So forcing something or injecting this into it, I'm actually totally fine with it. I don't, I think where we can meet you and I, I wish they hadn't used Heather to do it. And I think this would be a very different feeling. Heather or Whitney for that matter, right? I would have been completely fine if Angie Kaye showed up with Bromwin. And this was the only time. Like it just kind of skip over the whole white party. Send Bronwyn and Angie Kay over there and have Angie Kay talk to somebody that she knows and then kind of spill a little bit
Starting point is 00:30:15 of honey in someone's ear talking about Lisa Barlow. That's really all you have to do. That's the only thing you have to do. And it's enough for somebody like Giselle to kind of keep an eye on it. And then the second that Lisa does it, again, it happened very quickly. But as soon as Lisa turns into herself, then you can say, oh, those Salt Lake ladies may be on to something. Maybe we are getting a different version. And that's totally fine. It's all. also just very funny too because it's like we're going through and we're in episode five ish or whatever we are now and jazelle's been trying to work on vicky to get a different opportunity where if the lisa barlow versus vicky who's just not really wanting to be there wanting
Starting point is 00:30:51 to work doesn't want to do anything is complaining about her wig walking around the party sitting by herself know anybody at the party she hasn't made friends with anybody she's incapable of making friends if you're jazelle sitting there it's like uh uh no no let's just leave the vicky thing alone we're not going to get anything it's going to be incredibly boring it's going to be very irritating to a lot of people oh lisa barlow okay yeah let's work up that tree so that makes a ton of sense for me if you're jazelle sitting there and that's kind of the producer's dream is like all right cool let's just move on let's do a little deviation and go over to someone who might be able to produce a couple of good moments while we're in the interim
Starting point is 00:31:27 before we get to miami or on the way to miami on the way to new york things like that that we can actually talk about and stir the pot a little bit go after a lisa barlow because Vicky's just useless at this point. And it's tough because you think producers, Bravo as a whole are like, wow, this is going to be awesome. We'll throw Vicky in here. We got Vicki over here. People are going to be signing up to watch her.
Starting point is 00:31:46 And she's just not doing shit. I mean, she is just not performing this show. O.C., obviously, you know, it's forced a little bit more because you've got Tamara on her heels, trying to get her to talk about her life. But you can't do that on a show like this. And to go front and center with Vicki on this show, she just doesn't want to be there. And it's bizarre to watch. It's like, come on.
Starting point is 00:32:04 It's very strange. She's like, I can't go home and have quiet time by myself. It's like, sick. Why are you on TV for that? Why are you doing this to us? Like, it just, you got to be, you have to imagine the control of the, sitting there watching the film. It's like, oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Did you get any picky moments? Can we go see what Giselle's cooking up over there and hope that she's got something? Because all this nostalgia is only going to last a little longer. And then people are going to kind of tune out by the time we get to Miami for whatever reason because people don't watch Miami. But otherwise, it's just ludicrous. It's the best show. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:38 The Vicky thing was very funny to me. But also, NeNe getting up and giving a speech was very funny because we get two very different encounters. And I even said it too. When I, like, oh, yeah, Marlowe and NeNe are even friends at this point. And Needy's going through thanking everybody, Porsche's up there with her. Let's go through the OGs and we get to have all those nice moments. We get down there and Lisa Wu immediately. What the hell?
Starting point is 00:33:02 You didn't fucking include me. I'm like, that's funny. That's very funny. Keep going. Needy doesn't want to apologize. Good. That's what I want because it's sort of like a two-way thing with something that we've been talking about for the last couple of weeks is getting those older housewives onto the show. Like, are they going to try to have their moment or do they really not fucking care?
Starting point is 00:33:19 And to get Lisa Wu and then go right into Marlow, it's like, okay, yeah, Marlowe really doesn't give a shit. She doesn't want to have her moment. She had her moment out of the trash truck. She doesn't have to have her moment with Needy right now. Lisa Wu's like, fuck that. you didn't mention me up there. Do you want me to tell you again? I forgot.
Starting point is 00:33:36 What is this about? This is not that deep. No, it's definitely deeper than that. It's like, okay, all right. I see you try to have your moment.
Starting point is 00:33:43 But Marlow, yeah, you're right. I haven't reached out to you in a couple of weeks, months, whatever it may have been. I probably should have.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Oh, well, it's all right. It's not that big of a deal. Cool. All right. It's not that big of a deal. Let's move on from that. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:33:55 I love watching those two. Yeah, but I agree. I'll go ahead. The main takeaway from the whole thing is, will the prospect of Nini getting back to Atlanta work out? You got to see what she has in the tank because you've been off the screens for a while. Now, obviously, you've been doing other things.
Starting point is 00:34:10 It's not like you've been hiding from cameras, but we got to see if you still have that impact her. And I think she does. She did to me in every moment. Every moment I thought she had it. I thought the speech was funny. I thought the omission of Lisa Wu was intentional. I don't blame Lisa for for trying to have a moment there because it was a layup like yeah you got to go for that one she did leave you out I love the transition though from the conversation with Lisa Wu I told you I forgot do I need tell you got I forgot all right people forget and then she gets mad she goes I didn't forget I was like wait what that was funny as shit but the funniest part to me is she's talking to Marlo just to confirm because NeNe's thing is like I forget things very quickly that she just said so we get to the moment with Marl
Starting point is 00:34:58 Marlo, they're going, I haven't talked to you in months. Like, you haven't reached out. Marla was like, you know what? I apologize for my part in it. Do you apologize for your part? Nini goes, absolutely. I was like, you don't remember what you did. Nope.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Which is fucking perfect. But yeah, I sure do. Nini's spot on this show has to me proven that she can slide right back into this group. She's still close to a lot of people. She still has what made Nini so great. It's this, this cool factor of like, I don't think that she's playing up for the camera. I don't think she gives a shit the camera's there. I think she's just NeNe Leaks and this is what you get.
Starting point is 00:35:39 So watching her an ultimate girl's trip has just emboldened me further to be like, yes, let's get her back. Friend of if you need to, whatever works to get her back on the screen for at least next season, but she can fucking bring it still. And she's a star. And now because of this show, I'm watching going, well, fuck, bring Marlowe back. Why is a Shire not on the show? I agree with those too. You don't want to have too many
Starting point is 00:36:01 chefs in the kitchen though. I agree. Where they are is good. And if they are planning on bringing Needy back, that's it. Like, do not change anything else. Leave everything else the same. We're still on the,
Starting point is 00:36:14 you know, at the tail ends or we're over with the good season that was Atlanta. And we're very happy with the product. We're very happy with the majority of the cast and what we have moving forward. You throw NeNean in there. People are very excited. They're going to tune in again next season.
Starting point is 00:36:28 But you don't want to do too much. Don't change too much. Just because there's enough people talking on Twitter about Choray and talking about Marlowe. It's just not going to go anywhere. But yeah, I don't know. The whole Lisa thing, because that's what we're setting up for, it would have happened regardless. And I think I fell for it. I fell for the, well, I actually have to find out what you fell for because you said at the beginning of the episode that you fell for something.
Starting point is 00:36:53 So we got to talk about that whenever that comes in. But I personally fell for the idea that maybe things got so contentious that night. Lisa was off the rails, went home early, didn't communicate with anybody. No. What she says is I had to wake up at 4.30 in the morning, start packing. I had my team in there. My stylist was in there. I had to go wake her up and get her in so she could get all of her stuff.
Starting point is 00:37:20 And that's why I was late and I'm not apologizing you. I thought it was just because she was having a contentious night and just ran away from everybody to talk to them. No, this would have happened regardless. So I'm, I'm still happy it happens. But again, I don't think we needed Heather here today out there. No, and I think that's, that's what we've agreed upon. The heather factors where it got annoying. But again, it means to an end, whatever we got where we needed to get to. I fell for, I referenced it a little bit earlier, but I fell for a couple things. The one thing I fell for was the idea that Lisa is blameless where like she, because I just was getting sucked into this show and like, I just want people to have a
Starting point is 00:37:55 good time. Like, shut up Whitney, shut up, Bronwyn. Like, Lisa's fine. And it's like, well, no, Lisa is problematic. So she probably said some stupid shit. And it's probably well deserved that she's catching heat. So I forgot that, you know, she also stirs the pot by being Lisa. The
Starting point is 00:38:11 other thing was when she, and I didn't fall for this necessarily, but when she's explaining what happened in the morning and she was late, she goes to that whole thing where she had to wake up her stylist, this and that. I'm like, okay, So you're up at 4.30, which means you were like ready to be there on time.
Starting point is 00:38:31 You didn't the bus wasn't packed at six like you had time to get there. When she explains what had happened and this is Lisa and this is why she gets into shit because she lies or she fabricates. The whole story she told of waking up at 430 and getting glam in there and this and that and this and that and I can't leave her shit there. That'd be rude. I don't think that happened. Because then when she goes to her confessional, it makes it seem like, what did she say? I think I wrote it down. Fuck, I didn't.
Starting point is 00:39:01 All right. Regardless, oh, that's, I did. She wrote or said, did I have a sense of urgency to wake up my glam team at 430? No. So you didn't do any of those things. And you did wake up late. And you still needed to get glam because you're Lisa Barlow and you refuse to go out in public without full glam. So you lied to everybody.
Starting point is 00:39:25 You were late. You probably woke up at six had your glam team come over at 6.30. There's no world. This is where she lost me entirely. There is no world in which Lisa Barlow doesn't have her glam team geared up for the following morning. There is no world in which she would have to wake up her stylist. Her stylist would be waiting hand and foot at that door with a bagel and a cup of coffee ready to go. Because she doesn't fuck around like that.
Starting point is 00:39:54 That, me. the stylist probably had to wake her up. Knocking on the door. What time is it? Six. Well, full glam, those ladies can wait. And then, God forbid, they give me shit. Who do you think you're talking to?
Starting point is 00:40:06 I'm not going to apologize to any because I like, this is why I love her, though. I like sincere apologies, so I'm not going to apologize right now. Yeah. Yeah. Read between the lines here. I don't sincerely apologize to you guys for being a little late. I do think it was a bit overblown. They were going from Atlanta.
Starting point is 00:40:24 to Miami with a potential pending snowstorm coming in that was going to delay them. They had two and a half hours to get from there to the airport. You all have pre-check. You all have whatever that's called global entry. Come on, spare me. Like, you're not really that worried. I understand if they really just got pissed off about the fact that they were sitting on the bus for that long. Like, hey, we're sitting on the bus here for 30 minutes.
Starting point is 00:40:50 But don't piss on my back and tell me it's rating. And tell me, I'm resetting it. I am resetting it. Do not do that to me because I am not worried. Me, a normal civilian, is not worried about getting to the airport longer than two hours before my flight. It's just not really how that's going to work. So I just love that. And that's the tightrope that we do walk with a great housewife like Lisa Barlow is you love it because she's unapologetic.
Starting point is 00:41:17 And yes, all of the things that you just put out there, all of that scenario is probably 100% true. but it's incredibly funny until it's not. And when it happens too much, that it's not funny. And it's funny too, because we are going to Miami. And it reminds me of Lisa Hoxstein, who does the same shit.
Starting point is 00:41:34 And it gets to a point where, yes, it is really funny because it gets everybody revved up and then they get into her face and she's not apologizing because she doesn't want to actually admit any sort of fault. But then we get to like episode 10, 11, 12, and she does it again.
Starting point is 00:41:47 It's like, all right, come on. You know they're going to get pissed off. We're actually working on a good thing right now. now everybody's going to be mad at you and it's going to derail everything. That's the tight road walk that you have to go with a good housewife who shows up late. They're not going to apologize. They're going to have examples. I love the excuses.
Starting point is 00:42:02 What am I going to do? Wake up my glam team at 430. Yeah. If you want glam, wake up your fucking glam team. But I like throwing that out there as an excuse. And I really, really like the fact that you pretty much just told everybody,
Starting point is 00:42:14 I don't give a shit. And I'm not going to apologize to you because I don't really mean it. And like, that's a very funny way to say that. If she said that plainly, I think everybody in the bus would have been like, fuck, what do you mean? You don't actually agree with your own apology. What the hell is that? That would have been really funny.
Starting point is 00:42:30 But the way she does it is so beating around the bush to get to a point of like, hey, leave me the fuck alone. I don't care that I was late. You guys all do this all the time. I do it too. It's fine. Don't worry about it. And then we can move on. It's great until we get to Miami.
Starting point is 00:42:44 And then she's just peppering Teresa with compliments because she realizes she needs somebody on her side. And I'm okay with that because I do want somebody like Teresa on Lisa's side in case things start to break down. Because you know, Giselle is sitting in her room talking to someone else, probably Porsche. Porsche is not really going along with it because I think Porsche is along for the ride. She's just having a good time. But I know that Giselle can probably talk someone else into it, whether it's Vicki or Kyle. Maybe someone along those lines could get behind her to be like, Lou Ann probably, yeah. but I think that there is the making of a good battle where we could get that,
Starting point is 00:43:23 where we've got Giselle, we've got Luann, then Vicki, who doesn't really like Luan, is suddenly agreeing with Lisa Barlow just because she's disagreeing with Luan. And then we actually have a pretty good battle in the last couple of episodes. I'm looking forward to that. I am too, and I think it's going to be really funny to see Lisa Barlow with Lisa Hoxstein. I think that might be a dynamic duo where Lisa explains what happened. and Lisa Hoxy's like,
Starting point is 00:43:48 oh, I totally get it. Like, yeah, totally got it. That's actually the funny thing. So we're going to Miami and we get a little Marisol, the cameo,
Starting point is 00:43:56 which very saw, according to Louis. Mattiesol. Yeah. Of course, they're best friends. But we get a little bit of that and we're going to do a neon beach party. Great.
Starting point is 00:44:06 We're doing the lingerie party. Like that, I thought that was Lenny's thing. I know it was Lisa's because I did recently rewatch early Miami seasons. And I know Lisa was the one of, planned it. But in my brain, because of all of the women that he would probably cheat and, you know, do whatever with. Yeah. So he invited his roster. But because, but because Lennie did all of those things and then it never like, it got to the point where he just shut out Lisa and just
Starting point is 00:44:32 ran off with a model. In my brain, when you say lingerie party, it's Lennie lining people up and being like, I like her, I'm going to choose her over my wife. So I think that's unfortunate for Lisa because it was originally her thing for charity. but still very funny that that's how my brain works. Is it going to be in Lenny's drug kingpin mansion on the in the White House?
Starting point is 00:44:55 In the White House. Um, you're right there. Yeah. Probably. No, are we going to get to goy. Right? She has a house now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:03 Yeah. That's, what's his nuts is paying for? Yeah. He pays for half and then he pays for the other half. And what's his name? That is so funny. Jody.
Starting point is 00:45:10 With the AC. Jody. Yeah. Jody pays like 18 grand. And Lenny pays like a $36,000 place. Sure. Yeah, that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:45:20 God, I miss. Like, that's what sucks, dude. We're not going to be able to check in with all of that in Miami. I think we should start a petition. We should lead a petition to unpause Miami. The fact that they got paused is fucking ludicrous. Compared to some of the shit we're watching. Yeah, I think we're going to.
Starting point is 00:45:39 We're going to start getting signatures and rallying some people. We know one of the producers of Miami. He's a cool dude. maybe we'll holler at him and see what we can come up with. We'll post it on socials. Just start ramping it up. Honestly, because it's a travesty.
Starting point is 00:45:53 You make us sit through Orange County and you canceled or paused Miami. That's fucking crazy. And by the way, and I'm not going to blame all of you because I know a lot of you, especially in our audience, you guys watch Miami because we've been harping on it for years. But those of you in our audience that don't watch Miami, this is your fault.
Starting point is 00:46:14 and that I'm mad at you about that I'm actually pretty mad yeah very mad let's get some questions very mad indeed still love you though but let's get some questions uh
Starting point is 00:46:25 this is great from Shoshi Davis Vicki was giving I think you should leave old old man sketch with not wanting to be here yep I don't even want to be on your audience I can't fucking breathe it's so hot in here
Starting point is 00:46:38 I can't do this yeah that is incredible I don't even want to read any other questions teller Who said Shoshi Davis, that spot on. And you know us very well to drop that one. God. From Marissa and Palma, is insurance not that lucrative? Does Vicki really need this paycheck?
Starting point is 00:46:55 She's miserable. I think it was probably a contingent. Like you have to show up to Ultimate Girls trip if you want to go back to OC, maybe. But I don't know. She's just doing nothing. Maybe she'll step up at some point. But it seems like the longer that this, the longer this trip goes on, the less she wants to be there.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Yeah, it was pretty uncomfortable, honestly. From Robert Taylor writer of stuff, where was candy? I honestly think just given like where everything is when it comes to candy. And maybe it's also just a budget thing. Like they probably spent a lot of budget on getting NeNe in there and having her for three episodes and having other people show up that they didn't want to put candy in there. I don't really know what it is. but she's closely removed from being on the show. So maybe she just didn't feel like it was worth it and with all the stuff.
Starting point is 00:47:47 Yeah. And she also, between the Todd stuff. Yeah, the Todd stuff and she got a full schedule. Like she's still very, very much like kicking ass in the industry. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:48:02 That's a good point. I thought the same thing. Jacqueline Michelle Cress. I like Heather, but watching her salivate over these ladies was tragic to watch. Thoughts. Yeah, that's what I said. She's literally trying to snuggle up to all the cool kids,
Starting point is 00:48:15 and it was fucking bizarre. Shooter said it best. The best representation of that is her with a half-ash cigarette outside, just because she wanted to smoke with Luann because she thought that'd be good. From, oh, from Rachel McClis. Wasn't this episode and the appearance of Housewives so much better than Beverly Hills? Yes, it was. And I don't, look, Beverly Hills has.
Starting point is 00:48:41 a ton of iconic times. I just don't think they did it the right way. No Lisa Rina was kind of bizarre. They just didn't really utilize it the right way. And I do think, and maybe you can disagree with me, but Beverly Hills has gotten to the point where Kyle calls the shots, and it was her white party, and she didn't want certain people there. How do you not have LVP?
Starting point is 00:49:03 How do you not have Lisa Rina there? It just doesn't make any sense. This one certainly hit harder than the white party. from C. Colin, do you think that Lisa would have apologized had Giselle not been so quick to demand an apology? No.
Starting point is 00:49:19 I do not think that she would have ever apologized. Nope. She would have been like, you guys understand. And if he don't fuck you, that that's Lisa Barlow. Yeah, absolutely. There's a question about the Clippers situation. So I don't really do a wrong show. But maybe we'll do a deep dive into that at some point if we get bored.
Starting point is 00:49:41 from Jennifer M2M and the Academy Award goes to LB. She's posing as a good person on this trip, but Roslick knows the real Lisa and she's the most involved housewife next to Ramona. Damn. Look, I don't, I personally disagree, but I'm not going to fault you for doing that. I just,
Starting point is 00:50:03 I don't necessarily know if it's like a ride or die for Lisa thing as much as it is a, I'm tired of watching it. I need something new. from Salt Lake. Yeah, perhaps. Sands Filters says, do you think Giselle was too hard on Lisa being late when we all know Dorete exists? Well, Giselle hasn't had to deal with Doreet and her tardiness.
Starting point is 00:50:24 No. And the thing with Giselle, it's in part the late thing, it's way more the indignation of Lisa Barlow getting on. Like that's what's going to sell Gisette off or set Giselle off is what you don't just like. apologize and when you don't think about the group as a whole because she's the quarterback of Potomac. So everything she does is group-centric. So when you disrespect the group, that's when Giselle jumps into action and that's
Starting point is 00:50:54 exactly what Lisa did. She gave her a chance and said, what the fuck? And Lisa doubled down. And when you do that with Giselle, she's going to shut the door immediately. And now she's on your ass, which could be interesting. Definitely could be. And we'll end on this one from Mike Brose. Did we ever think that we'd see Needy and Kim together?
Starting point is 00:51:11 on Bravo. No, genuinely no. No, but it was nice. The whole party was nice. It was just a wow. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Wow. The entire time, which was just quite lovely. I'm so happy the Marlowe showed up because her last
Starting point is 00:51:28 season was our first season covering Atlanta and look, Atlanta was a cluster fuck that year and it was you know, kind of just dragging along for a couple seasons after that. But I remember going back and saying the only couple people that you can keep on this cast is like Candy and Marlowe for me. Yeah, I remember that too.
Starting point is 00:51:46 When we've covered that season, that's exactly what we said. Marlowe and Candy are cool. Everyone else can kick rocks and it's pretty much what they did. Only Marlowe and Candy were gone too. But yeah, dude, this show's great. It's a great walk down memory lane. And now it's starting to heat up a little bit with some drama within the group. So who knows what will happen.
Starting point is 00:52:06 What I do want, perfect world for me is the Lisa Barlow stuff continues. This group presses it with absolutely zero interjection from Heather Gay. I do not want her back on the screen for the remainder of this show. I am down for the lease of Barlow, not attack, but investigation, if you will. No. Sands Heather. And then I'm good. Yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 00:52:32 But that's all I got. You got anything else? Nope. Well, that's our show. Brad Brose are out of here. The tutors were probably the most scandalous dynasty in British history. The season on vulgar history were spilling the tea on this messy, messed up family and the people who had to live through it all.
Starting point is 00:52:52 Anne Boleyn and the other wives of Henry VIII are known today from the musical Six, but who were they really? Did any of them actually want to marry him? Henry the 8th, the man who was literally the worst? How did two of them manage to escape with their heads intact? We'll also get into historical mysteries, like who really wrote Shakespeare's plays? who is the real bloody Mary?
Starting point is 00:53:12 What was happening elsewhere in the world while the tutors were trampling all over England? Like the mysterious disappearance of the Roanoke Colony and the true story of the girl known as Pocahontas. I'll be joined by tutor historians, experts, and a few of my friends who really hate Henry the 8th to learn all about the tutors this season on Vulgar History. Because it's fucking Henry the 8th all day, every day.
