I thought that it was a very, very beautiful tribute to Robert Jr. I was impressed at the way Bravo handled it. I was impressed at the way the ladies handled it. And it was a real tearjerker. It really was.

As far as the actual episode starts. Yeah, I was sobbing. I sobbed this entire episode. I was fighting back tears, if not crying actively. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight.

by the one and only real housewives of Salt Goot City. What's up, dude? I don't know where Salt Goat City is, but I got a visit. I have to visit that place. I think I would, I think I'd get like the key to the city. I always think that's a weird thing. People get, like, athletes get the key to the city.

It's like, what does that mean? I always think. I know it's just like, what? Technically that you can get into any building, like any, what is it called? Any fucking damn it, federal government building? State. Yeah.

Something like that. I could be totally wrong, but I don't quote me on that. I did think when I was younger, like a year ago, like what does that open, that big key? Because they're always like this big.

It's like, where's the door? And then they come out with like a big treasure chest and it's just more money. That would be cool. Like that's, if you have a big ass key, open something.

It's got to go somewhere. Can't just be like a symbol. It's got to be something. I wonder if people really liked our breakdown of Martha's Vineyard yesterday when we were talking about Roney. But this is another dumb thought. I wonder if early on when the tradition of you just got the key to the city, we love you so much. Like if Ben Franklin got the key to Philadelphia, it actually had. That's the one that got struck.

She had a skeleton key. Yeah, maybe it was the one that got struck. And that's what it was. And that's what gets passed down to Philadelphia because we're the best city in the world. but I wonder if at one point in time in like the 1800s or late 1700s, whenever this tradition started, if it actually was a key to the city. Like that would be cool.

That would be fun. I guess I'm going to keep on thinking that. Yeah. Let's see. A modern key to the city does not open anything. It's purely an ornamental and symbolic honor. Medieval roots. Manyable roots long ago,

major cities were surrounded by protective walls with heavy gates that locked at night. A physical key actually opened those gates, meaning the town trusted them enough to come and go as they pleased even during a lockdown. Today, the key is a non-functional keepsake or plaque. Cities presented to a steam, blah, blah, blah, blah. There you go. Yeah. If you go back even further, the real key to a city is a big wooden horse that you just burrow into and you surprise.

Yes. Yes, the Roman horse. As soon as you say, as you say that it's a key to, well, they were. ricking into Troy. So it's not really, it's from the Greeks, isn't it? But either way, whatever. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. But, you know, I feel bad. I mean, it gets named after Troy. Troy's the one who got decimated because of that horse. And now we're like, here is the Trojan horse. It's like, oh, that's kind of, Eric Banna did his best. Okay. Eric Bada did his best, but Brad Pitt thwarted him.

All right? That is historically accurate. I love that Odysseus just came out this summer. And if we talk about Troy, I still am thinking about what happened in 2004, 2006, whenever that all that movie came out. What a great movie that was. Anyway, it was outrageous, though, dude. Like, could you have mad the clothing and garb that they had those fighters in? Like, sure, they looked sexy as hell. But come on, those guys, there's no protective armor whatsoever.

I know Achilles is like, you know, they dip them in the water. So you can only kill if you hit them in the heel, all that shit. Mm-hmm. But come on. Like, that's not realistic. And then also, if you watch when Eric Bannett dies, you can see his rubber helmet, he takes off his helmet and you see the tip of it just bend to the side because it was made out of rubber. That's kind of funny.

I still remember that. Yeah. Yeah. It's probably really hot in that metal helmet. Anyway, it's all like city's back. Yeah, like, how hot was Helen? Let's break that down. I mean, look, is it, is it attraction or was it just love?

Who was the king, King, Agamemnon? Wow. How you like me now? Agamemnon was a dick. So we wanted to run away from him and then the entire city fell as a result. So well done. Nice job. You know that Agamemnon is Paul Atreides' great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandfather.

Is that true? Yeah. In terms of Dune lore, that's exactly who is super great grandfather is. No shit. That's kind of interesting. I'm so excited for doing three, by the way. It's a fun tie-in. Very fun time.

Yeah, well, there you go. Well, see your history and sci-fi lesson. Let's get to Salt Lake City. As we discussed in the cold open and as everybody is obviously feeling, extremely emotional start. And I think you made a great point. Bravo, we have had a lot of issues with how they handle certain sensitive topics in the past. I will say we both thought.

that they handled Robert Jr. in that storyline very well last year. I thought that that was one of the first times. I was like, wow, okay, you actually did write by everybody involved. I think the same for this. I thought it was very moving, very touching. It was a celebration of Robert Jr. It was a celebration of the good things and the positivity and not harping on addiction, not harping on the darker side of things. So I thought that that was actually really touching. Yeah, I think they did an incredible job with everything that they covered for this. Obviously, it all starts with Mary, what she's willing to actually show, which, you know, completely her prerogative. The fact that she had as much strength as she did, not only at the end of this episode when she's talking to the rest of the women, but throughout it, and also just to film.

And I'm very happy that we didn't have cameras at the ceremony. Like that, that would have been crossing a line. And I sort of expected to some degree that we would. have had cameras or talking to people as they were getting ready to go. We didn't do any of that. We skipped over that entirely. That's how it should be. We'll leave that alone as much as you want to know, you know, how everything went and sort of, and not even like in a negative way, but join in in the celebration of life because that is what Mary wanted. That is what she wanted to do. And I think she just carried on in such a way that you did not see coming. It's just the strength

of resilience that she was showing and talking about all of it. The rest of the women, how grounded that they got like it was perfectly done from a to z starting with mary going to the women in the group and then going to the end with bravo producing it the right way i thought it was really well done i do too and i think a big big thing that mary did uh in in a grander scheme showing how to mourn somebody in celebration like she genuinely seemed to be celebrating his life You know, we heard about the ceremony. Everyone was just raving about how positive it was, uplifting. And I think that that's something that I took away from this was like, yeah, you know, obviously extremely sad.

Death is sad. Losing people is sad. But there is that side of it where you can celebrate the person that you lost rather than a funeral. Obviously, everyone mourns in their own way. I'm not telling you how to have a funeral or send somebody off. But I think that this is a very cool way to say. see like let's celebrate the joy and the love that this kid brought so many people versus having a super sad funeral and that's it was just really touching and like you know we just jump

right in it starts out with when he gets out of jail i didn't realize he was in there for 86 days and you know i'm probably going to break down a few times in this episode just the heads up everybody um But, you know, the fact that he gets out and says to his uncle, I'm clean. And then three weeks later, as we know, he passed away. And that's like, that's something that, you know, small public service announcement for people involved with people that are in recovery or addiction is, you know, when people go back or people are clean and they do end up relapsing, a lot of times they, they. use or drink to the level that they did when they were actively using or drinking. And because your body has changed and gotten better and healed, you can no longer handle that amount.

And this is actually a common thing. And it's super fucking sad. And it's something that, um, fuck. It's something that goes along with the stigma of this whole thing. And it's something that if we are able to, God damn it.

If we're able to discuss these things more openly and more comfortably and give people going through it, support that they will be supported no matter what, these kinds of things can be minimized or lessened. But because the shame that comes with this, because of the stigma that comes with this, the outward perspective and people looking down on you, when you do get back into a spot where you're like, oh, shit, I'm having urges, I want to relapse. the shame that comes with that already because you feel like you're failing yourself, but the shame that you're concerned at how it's going to be received pushes people a little bit further, and sometimes it's all it takes.

And I just, I hope that what this episode does is shed light on a better way to approach this stuff. And I thought Bravo did a good job, but like the stigma that comes along with this results in death. People die because of it. And, yeah, fuck me, you go. Yeah, I'll give you a little breather in there. I look, I think the way that everything transpired,

the way that it all played out, it was such a quick turnaround from a very happy scene to inevitably what happened and how he passed away and how quickly it happened to that it was that much harder. And it's so much harder when you hear and see and read the articles. And it's sort of like shock. Like, wait a minute. Wait, wasn't he just in prison?

Like what happened? Did he get out and then do this? How long was he out for? Oh, my God, I can't believe it happens. Those are the normal questions that kind of run through your mind. But it's a lot different watching it. It's not like we had a typical housewives episode. This was anything about a typical housewives episode, but that's not really what I'm saying.

It's not like we had that normal run of the mill course. Okay. Robert Jr.'s out. let's check in with Lisa and John. And then by the way, a couple of weeks later, this happens. Like, I'm happy that they encapsulated all of this in the one episode because it was able to just be like the primary focus, really set the tone for everything and move forward from there.

But when it happens that quickly, it's like, okay, we can do this a couple different ways. You know, we can check in with a group. We can check in with Mary. Like, obviously, you're not going to check in with Mary. I'm not going to put a camera in that situation. So it is very, it's very more, it's a lot more raw and emotional when it happens like that where it's, oh my God, Mary's so happy. This is brutal. And we know this happens.

But watching her so happy, watching her talk to his uncle and just try to work through all of these things and how happy they are to get him home and that he's up in his room and he's got his dog and we're doing all these things for him. We're so excited. And he's clean. And then boom, three weeks later, over. It's crazy. But it puts things into perspective. And sometimes you need that shock and all, especially as the audience, if you're not connected to something like this and you don't really understand how these things work, just like Steele was just saying, that's enough where it's jarring enough where you're like, holy shit, okay. The other piece of that is going to the rest of the women, talking to the rest of the women immediately because they all find out the news.

We kind of get them individually. Like I, you know, Angie starts with it from Mary goes to Heather, goes to Whitney, goes to Meredith, goes to Lisa. and then they kind of all come together. And it could go one of two ways. They could be petty as shit and still hold themselves in the same level that they did before. And that scene looks awful because there's bigger things to deal with. And they didn't do that. So that's why I'm saying like kudos to them for putting their weird stupid grievances aside and being there for Mary and being there for each other.

And it puts a lot of things into perspective. And it's not just like show drama. It's not just editors and producers in there like, hey, we can only talk about this. we're not going to be like this is actually what happens when something that real happens you kind of put the petty shit aside don't worry the petty shit will come back very quickly because it's this group but it shows you how groundbreaking all of this is and how much it shatters their lives and puts a lot of their lives into perspectives yeah and i thought that they as a cast downed it well like you said they put all that stuff to the side for the time being and they showed up and like hearing

mary at the end talk about the fact that they really did show up this wasn't for tv this wasn't for their reputation. This was to show up for somebody that needed it. And they did. People were checking on every day. Lisa, censor a care package. I'm assuming like a door dash every night with groceries or something.

So watching that happen. And what I don't want to do is be like, oh, like now the group's going to come together. And like maybe we can work past that stuff because I think that's icky. But like you said, I do think there's a level to this that hits. so hard that they will reevaluate in real life, like their actual friendships, their actual lives, and maybe approach things differently. I think it's a good teaching moment for everybody there. And I think it does. The biggest thing that it does, it's just perspective, like you said, perspective. Like, it's all silly, you know, stupid drama. But this is very real. And it's jarring. And I think it's

going to make a lot of these ladies kind of look at their own lives and look around and maybe reevaluate some things and it's going to be an interesting journey throughout this season to see what this does, to see how they're affected by it. Again, not from a show and drama standpoint by any means, not in a let's get back together to being friends, more so how is it actually going to impact the group? And I think that that, I don't even think that they know how that's going to happen. I don't think you can really, you know, predict how something this jarring will affect you. So I think that's going to be something that I'm curious to watch. I'm curious how Mary's going to go throughout this season.

You know, obviously she's so strong. And I commend her for everything that she did this episode. You know, the ups and downs of this, I'm sure, is going to be extremely difficult. I don't know, you know, if she wants all of that on camera, I'm curious what we're going to see on camera. I think anything that she does is, again, just to credit to her strength. And, you know, the other part of this that she, she and Robert did together last year and something that she seems to want to carry over into this

year is using this as a positive in some regard, using this as a way to spread awareness, to talk about things more, to make it easier to discuss. And that's something that I credited them last year so much. I thought that was so cool what they did. I thought Bravo did a good job. And the fact that in this place where she currently is, as we're watching this episode, that's still something that she's resonating with in, I want to continue to make this a topic that we can discuss

so we can help people. Extremely impressive. I was just very impressed by Mary. Yeah, and it's really all under how you're going to talk about it and the way that Mary's always talked about it is, yes, it's very sad. There's a lot of things that go into it, and that's what we got a lot from last year, but there's a lot of happiness with him and remembering him,

And it's not always just down bad, sadness, all of these things that come along with this, the public stigma of addiction is it turns into something a little bit more beautiful and a little bit more awareness is going to help. And it always starts again with Mary who decided, okay, I'm on reality TV. I'm doing my life. I'm going to show you everything. And he signed off on it too. Let's not forget about that.

Robert Jr. agreed to do this. He agreed to be on camera last year, even in the state that he was in and shared his life. So to do all of these things on a very one of the highest regarded reality TV shows, a lot of people are checking in, the big news that drops last year, like more people are going to be tuning in, not to see how it goes, not to see what happens from it all, but to just continue the story and see what happens. And I think that doesn't go anywhere without Mary being as strong as she is. So kudos to her. Yeah, exactly. But the ladies get together over at Angie Kay's house and they're all, you know, still really trying to figure out how they can best support. Port Mary, you know, checking in on, have you seen Mary? I wish you with you, like this, that, the other. And they are using this, not using this, but this has, like I said early on,

kind of made them reevaluate things. They're looking around this room and looking at all of these petty squabbles that are amongst this group specifically. And that was one of the biggest issues we had last year and the year prior is like, we just keep getting stuck on the most trivial bullshit. Heather needs to chill the fuck out, all of these different things. But as they're sitting there talking, they're trying to figure out two things. One, how do we continue to support Mary in the best way that we can?

And two, how do we move forward as a group? And I think that's going to be interesting to see because Mary made it very clear at the end of this episode that she's leaning on this group. This group is her family. I believe her. I don't think this is for TV. I think that she is leaning on these women. it would be irresponsible of them to not take that into consideration as we navigate this season and not get stuck on stupid shit and not do stupid shit so that they can continue to support

Mary and not add to her plate if she's going to film this season. So I'm curious how that's going to kind of take shape as we get into it because that is going to have to be a cognizant thought because if you're adding things and doing stupid things or whatever, you're going to, impact the group and Mary needs this group right now. So I think it's going to give people a reality check to kind of how they're want to move forward. Yeah.

I fully agree that they have to at least be aware of what's going on and how it's going to come off and what you're going to essentially be putting Mary through by carrying on stupid shenanigans like things that really don't matter and actually having petty squabbles. At the same time, it is if Mary decides to film a bunch and do a lot of things. It's a hell of a distraction and it's a hell of a thing that she could go through through all of this to try to be on the lighter side. And maybe she'll start laughing at Heather bitching to Lisa because she's not talking about her face. That's a good point. It's going to put things into perspective that were probably stupid and boring and trivial to marry before.

And it's essentially going to be or it could be rather. I don't want to say it's going to be. But it could be sort of like a release like a reprieve. Wow, you guys really are just like, I wanted you guys, because the vibe that you get for Mary is, yes, I'm going to lean on you. Yes, I want to do all these things, but I'm celebrating my son's life. I also want you guys to be you guys. I love you guys for who you are. So we might find ourselves in certain situations when those things do pop up because, again, it's this group of women.

They're going to do the same shit at some point. I don't know how long it's going to take. I think it's probably going to take a couple of weeks. But eventually they're going to get back to what they do. I think Mary's going to find some fun in that. And that's what she needs to. She needs to be able to look around the room and see what they're doing and find the funniness and all of that and maybe make fun of it a little bit more, maybe get involved a little bit too. And that's going to be interesting to watch moving forward too.

But again, that's all at her behest, whatever she wants to do, however much she wants to be around, she'll do what she has to. Yeah, that's a good point. But Whitney brings up that she has things to apologize for. I was unaware. Again. Yeah, again, exactly. you could say this pretty much any scene she's in she could say this would be the first the first scene of every season that she's in oh yeah i was apologize for she she needs to take it off season off you know she needs to stop and like that's the thing with whitney dude

it's like look i know that you're kind of you know a little ditsy and this and that whatever and like that's kind of part of your stick if you keep doing the same thing over and over and over again at some point you you're You have to stop doing it. Or acknowledge that you do it. I think that's what drives me nuts with her is every time shit pops off. She's like, what happened? It's like, you, you happen. You called a blogger.

You did this. You did that. You did it. You brought up the shit with Heather in Arizona or whatever because we couldn't go out of the country because Jen Shaw was going to prison. You do these things. And then you play the victim. And then you act like, how the hell did I get here?

how am I out on an island? You are that you did it. Damn it. Yeah. Speaking of Jen Shaw, she just keeps posting videos from Utah football games. And usually she'll use the, the Meg the Stallion song that starts off with she's back.

And it's very funny to me. I'm getting so close. I am so close to saying it. I will never. I would never. But anyway, I'll leave that for another day anyway. Utah football loves that.

They're probably stoked that a felon is reposting their videos all the time. That's, you're going to, I give it, if this season does not go well, if this is a tough season, by episode 10, you're going to be clamoring. And I can hear it now. I can hear your petition to get Jen Shaw back on. I will never co-sign it. No. She defrauded.

What's going to happen? What's going to happen is the Nathan Fielder movie about Elizabeth Holmes is going to come. John Shaw's going to be in there. I'm going to point her and be like, God, just bring her back. She might be in that. They might interview with that. No, I think, yeah, they might interview by the way. Yeah, it looks fantastic.

But yeah, I mean, to the point about Whitney, it changes a little bit. She does change a little bit. There's always a different reason. There's always a different thing. But sometimes it seems, yeah, she's always on her healing journey. It seems like there's a slight change. this one anyway, because when we're talking about what exactly she has to apologize for,

it's comments that she made, which this is the newest one, what we've seemingly talk about on every single housewife show, comments made at some sort of event, typically a drag brunch in the office. It does seem to be drag brunches. It seems to be drag brunches. Now, I did not see her say, I completely forgot that she even said this at the reunion that she needs to like reassess her relationship with alcohol. it makes a little bit more sense when she talks about it here.

It seems like a cop out of the reunion. But then when you go into this, it's like, okay, yeah, maybe you do. And when she's talking about it, it's like, okay, when you get into that state of mind, you can't really trust yourself while drinking and then you start spouting off things. So I don't know, maybe I'm falling for it. Maybe I'm falling for her actual sincerity when she's saying that she's sorry. But I think it's all really going to be dependent on how the apology is received. Meredith isn't receiving a fucking apology from Whitney.

Lisa might. Like even in the light, I think she, yeah, but I think in the light of everything going on with Robert Jr., with Mary, moving forward throughout the season after having something like that that really grounds you, I think Lisa will be open to an apology.

I don't think Meredith has changed her thoughts on Whitney whatsoever, based on this episode for sure. But when she says that, I'm like, Meredith isn't going to fucking accept your apology, and it's going to be a tough scene to watch. The funniest thing about Meredith, is her big issue is like, I knew she didn't like me.

Meanwhile, she's saying all these nice things, blah, blah, blah. She's saying awful things behind my back. Yes. But so are you. Yeah. Well,

I mean, it is interesting. I really think that Whitney's done this before too, not with the same actual context. But going back to last reunion, the entire reunion in the back half of last season, she was pointing at Meredith and saying, you have a drinking problem.

she comes out of the reunion starts off this season says I need to reassess my relationship with alcohol I'm like well yeah yeah like that's your relationship with a lot of things but yeah and everybody in the group apparently but yeah I I'm not going to comment on it until we get more information if this is something she's really going through then obviously I hope that she's able to come out the other side of it yeah there are things you can point to her it's like interesting but again I until we know more until we kind of see her navigate through this and how she's going to navigate through this, I will reserve any judgment and just say if it's if it's legit, I just hope that, you know, she's able to do it.

That that is actually something that she's going through. I'm not even saying it was just an excuse necessarily. I know, I know. A little ironic that you go after Meredith the whole season for drinking. And you're like, well, I don't know if I can trust myself and say, wait a minute, what? But we're still talking about Meredith? Yeah. And that's valid because you can ask that and be like, well, if you put two and two together, it's a little interesting.

We shall see. We shall see how it plays out. But yeah, she's apparently going to apologize for everything. I do think, like, all you have to do with Lisa, apologize, be sincere. Compliment her. You look great today, by the way. You're in. You're done.

Poof. Your lounge looks incredible. I was there. I haven't drank the other night. that place is gorgeous. Oh, my God, thanks. All we ever hear is that that lounge is like empty, which I think is very funny. And then you always get like one of the bar lows, whether it's Jack, John or Lisa commenting on it.

Like it was a Tuesday night. We were closed. Leave us alone. Exactly. But that's the other thing. It's also a lounge within a bar or something. It's not like this is the Vita Tequila lounge and it's its standalone business. It's like a VIP area within another place. Do with that what you will. I've also never seen Vita anywhere. I have a lot of... I have boots on the ground.

I have a lot of Vita questions. I love Lisa Barlow. I have so many Vita questions. And I still have to try it. She could have all the answers. But as of right now, I still have a lot of Vita questions. Mm-hmm.

Live in the Vita Loka. Yeah. Live in Lovita questions. Live in the Vita Barlow. Anyway, speaking of LB, we get to LB and her family, her, this could be one of the greatest bits of all time if it continues, at least for me.

If she has a grilled cheese every episode, I'm going to be really happy. That'd be such a stupid fun thing. But we'll see. We'll get a grilled cheese counter going because there's two in this episode, right? Yeah, I know. That's why I'm hopeful. Two. Yeah.

I think it's hoped on something. She's just, wow, I just need to keep eating these grilled cheeses. I can't. I wonder what's eating enough. What's in the baby gorgeous Wendy's collab? Oh, I don't know. No, there's no way. That's fantastic, though.

Are you looking up? Yep. It's a digital exclusive. It is a 10-piece chicken nugget, medium hot and crispy fries, a Diet Coke, of course, and barbecue sauce. So it's just what Lisa gets when she goes to Wendy's,

which is fantastic. But she's hanging out with the family. Like I said, in our next gen episode, I actually enjoyed Jack on screen. I thought he was, he was kind of funny. You know, he's post mission.

He's 21 years old now. He's apparently bringing a lot of ladies home, which, you know, he's world. He's cultured. He's also, he's very funny on TikTok. So that is he kind of the, yeah, that's sort of the source of me saying

that he would be great on next year or at least be better than Brooks. But he's very funny. I always love their family moments too, especially when the boys growing up, because they're still funny together. And this scene was all just kind of to get to, which I,

this was sort of like the, the fork in the road of the episode. Like, are we just going to do and focus primarily on what's going on with Mary and Robert Jr.? Or are we going to kind of dip the toe in and see where everybody else is?

Like, is this going to be sort of a standalone episode? Once we get to the end of this, I'm like, all right, it's just a family scene. They seem really happy. This is great.

Lisa sits down with, John. Like, oh, I forgot about all of this. I forgot about that lunch that you guys had where both of us were sitting there like, oh, John's kind of found it. I don't like the way he's talking to her, but it's making a lot of sense right now. I don't really sure what's going on there. This was a good scene. I loved this. I love seeing the softer side of J.B. Husband boss. I still go back a couple seasons ago where we had the husband fights. That was the best thing ever with second. God, dude. It was the best thing ever than Justin got involved too. So like, those are the days, but seeing this side of J.B. I mean, I'm in love again.

Yeah, I thought this was an extremely touching scene. I was, I was very moved. It was nice to see this side of J.B. Husband boss. Remember they went outside? Yeah, they went outside and then the very next year, I'm pretty sure they shoehorned Justin in to see what he felt about it too. because we needed to know what all the husbands felt about what was going on. There's what the days, man. That was the softest fight in the history of altercation. I believe that was also connected to Jizz for Jazz.

So, yeah, I think that was all tied together. Jizz for Jazz. Yeah. I haven't heard that one. Is that actually a thing? I don't know. Sounds right. I think I've heard us.

But if not, it's me, then I'm taking credit. If not, it's yours. Anyway, yeah, I thought that this was nice. I thought that, you know, it's good to see just in Housewives overall recently. It's good to see like something happy in a marriage, you know, two people actually having a nice moment and not getting divorced or doing something shady. Or a husband's just taking accountability for his own actions and making his wife feel bad. It's nice.

I'll take it. Take it anywhere I get it. Making us wife feel. Oh, I see what you're saying. Yeah. Yeah. But, I mean, I had questions. you know, I just like was, you know, did Lisa take accountability?

Because like we both agreed some of the things that were discussed last year. We did not care for the matter in which they were relayed and the insensitivity. But, you know, the lack of listening, you know, I can keep going back to that scene where she's texting and he's trying to talk to about their kid and she's not paying any attention to him. But here, here's the thing. If they're happy, I'm happy. How about that? There we go. Yeah.

Great for her. But yeah, I got the same vibes. I'm like, what do you mean? So everybody sees me see Whitney. Everybody sees Whitney see me. And then I start seeing Whitney and Whitney start seeing me.

And now we're inseparable. It's an unlikely duo. Like what? Yeah. And at least she leans into that. But yeah, the explanation of how you guys became friends, I feel like it could have just been like, yeah,

actually we found that we're pretty similar and just chalk it up to that. The weird little path that we decided to go down was, it was fun for what it was, but didn't expect it. Yeah, by the way, has that ever happened on a real housewife show? I don't think so.

That would be. Don't believe so. Groundbreaking. That would be groundbreaking. Yeah, that would be probably big for a phenomenal season. Two of the housewives just start dating. Yeah,

Actually, you know what? I'm in. Yeah, I'm in. I'm in. But anyway, they're talking to one another and obviously both having their own issues at home. And Bronwyn gives us some more insight into the Todd situation, which good riddens, you old bag of shit. But Todd's trying to. Is he back on screen?

Was there a scene from? I didn't see that. Oh, damn it. Well, you got to see that. I couldn't tell if he had a cat's letter on, but he's. going to like the cat sweater we always said it was giving sutton he's going to end up dating Sutton probably i would imagine oh my god yeah somebody probably pointed that out yeah yeah also moving forward if we have the duo of brahm win and whitney and they're just doing shit and it's

getting annoying they're they're they're just going to be brahm wet we're gonna call them brown yeah that that's a good that's a good one well done but the breakdown of the the Todd thing. Again, he wants to get back together. The final straw was it was her 40th birthday. I believe also the anniversary of her father's passing. I don't know if it's the same day, but coincided closely. Close. Yeah. Hey, you do shit. He forgot. She's like, that's it. I'm out of here. And again, she goes through like, there's plenty of times that I should have left. We get the montage of, you know, the text on the plane, the infidelity, God knows what else. And why are you making that face?

the montage was it the montage montad that was there for me that was there for me I knew I knew I missed something when you were sparking like that

that damn and we learned about Brandon Brandon the 32 year old model who is shockingly eager to travel wherever you want to go that I thought was very funny she was like I don't want to go here I called him like hey you want to go here he's like yeah of course

oh shit the guy's gonna be a free trip with you Yeah. He could just take a break from modeling. Also, the more pictures I saw that guy, I'm like, I don't know if you're that good looking, to be honest. I thought he was at first. That's what I thought. Like he was a 10 of the first one. It started a deep.

Yeah. There was a picture towards the end of this and in no shade. But it did look like they flew to turkey and were flying back and he had that, you know, the turkey hair. So. Oh, he got the hair transplant. It looks like it could have just been like a grainy, shit. picture or Bravo just didn't like increase their resolution. I don't know what it was.

But that's the one that kind of caught my eye. I'm like, this guy's not good looking. How's he a model? Interesting. That's very interesting. Look, I, maybe he's a hand model. He's not good looking.

But I saw the same thing that you did. Not the potential Turkish hair transplant. That's, ooh, maybe she paid for it. That's what I was thinking. Yeah. Wow.

For it technically, that's even funnier to me. Wait, I love that then, actually. I love it regardless. But if Todd paid for his hair, I'm so, this guy rock. honestly any extravagant shit that Brodwin does this year we know it's on Todd's dime fun fantastic for me

amazing I hope she buys the stupidest loudest shit you can possibly buy as the amazing she's moving we're going to see the stupidest loudest house in like six or seven episodes God I hope so good yeah good I would have made fun of her last year for it now no buy those stupid chairs by the ugly paintings buy all of it leave the dog shit on the floor it's yeah by all means go for it's a The state. Maybe not. That really not. Just poop around the house.

But I thought Muzzy was delightful this episode. We'll talk about her in a minute. Anyway, Whitney's update, I thought she was going to get immediately into the Justin thing. I'm curious when that's going to rear its ugly head. But she's talking more about the drag brunch and all that shit that was going on. And we get a clip of it. I hadn't seen that clip yet. So that was news to me.

And that's where she addresses the booze thing. you know, I guess three months earlier, her and Justin were talking about separating and they were going through it. And in that moment, she realized, okay, if I drink, I don't handle things well. I'm not going to cope with alcohol to get through this stuff. So that's when the revelation happened. Yeah. Yeah. And we'll just kind of have to see where that goes.

Because I still need to see the apologies. I need to see exactly what Whitney's going to say. I don't really know I'm with you I thought we were going to get more into the Justin thing now we know we are we know we're going to have to endure those very interesting conversations I don't want to watch those at all

you think they'll do like one final like paint each other's parties like we're on the same page yeah I do actually I think they will I think they do they owe it to us to do that we've had way more uncomfortable scenes on Bravo that's after the time or anything

you guys can do as many pain parties as you are. Oh, God. Yeah. I think I blocked down out of my memory already. But we get to Heather and her daughter, Georgia, and we get to meet Tripp. Trip pulls up on the motorcycle. He's got statues. Yeah, he's a stud. Guy's a stud.

I don't trust him. Heather, I don't trust him either. Heather. Heather is going to drive me insane with the I'm so cool bit. I cannot, dude. Like the stuff she says, like her daughter, they're like, yeah, fun event today. We're going to have sex.

Ha, ha, ha. J.K. I know. Shut up, bro. It's upsetting. And it's upsetting for a number of reasons. The main reason and the most egregious to me is we have been saying for fucking years, show us your life.

Show us your dating life. If I had to hear one more time, like, oh, yeah, I was dating this guy. It was off camera. we didn't do anything and we didn't talk about it and all you did was go after Lisa or go after Meredith, I'm going to be pissed. She shows us her dating life and instantly I'm annoyed. Instantly, I'm turned off. I'm like, stop talking about sex in front of your daughters like that.

This guy is right there. You guys have been dating for, they just counted on your fingers, which, you know, for some people that might be cute. But when you guys were doing it, I was icked out. And then you do it.

You're like, you've been dating for like six months. Cool. That's great. You guys are already talking about having sex in front of her daughters. very bizarre i don't want to watch it anymore it made me feel uncomfortable but more so i don't trust trip i i just this fucking guy you guys met in 2016 and he was texting other girls what was he 48 texting other girls now he's close to 60 he might be texting

other girls again i don't trust him either it's funny you said that i'm not sure about this guy look yeah heather bothers the shit out of me now and yeah this was uh indicative of that with some of stuff she was doing i hope that he's not full of shit for her sake yeah okay okay Okay, because, yeah, she's put through it. She can win me over. Yeah, we got the book. She could win me over. We always know there is a good housewife somewhere in there.

There is. You have to have the balance of your home life and actually having a storyline that you're bringing to the rest of the women and not just constantly sticking your nose in other people's business. That's what I need. That's what I need. And you can be fun and a good time, girl, as you see on the cover there. Then I'll put the book back there. Right now, books not.

there. It's still off to the side. It's on the fence. The book is on the fence. Is it going in the box or is it going back on the shelf? That's up to you. It could go. Yeah, it could go in the box and in the closet. I mean, I'll do an update every week if I have to. Yeah, we will keep you updated on the book and where it is currently at. But I thought it was cute though. The daughter like questioning or stuff like that. That scene I actually didn't mind. That part was, yeah, that was good. Yeah. But anyway, let's move on to Bronwyn and Muzzy, aka Muffy, as I called her all last year because I forgot her name. We're getting more on the situation with Bronwyn overall.

The first thing I will say, because credit where credits do, I gave her a lot of shit last year. I'm glad that Muffy didn't show up to this scene and fuck it up. I'm glad that she was relatively normal, albeit that was just by not talking, but that's better than the shit that she would say last year. She talked a few times.

I have a question. I have to posit this to you. was muzzi just a todd problem did she just hate todd and hate that brahman was with todd and it came out in those scenes that we saw like am i going to have to go clean slate with muffie musy perhaps here's the thing though this is the question wasn't a good mom wasn't a good mom grown up one and two and i'm only saying this because i'm still not team muffie muzie yet until she wins me over with more than just this one scene. There's a part of me that thinks that she was like, oh, good, okay, you're with Todd.

He's got a lot of money. Yeah, there was definitely a part of me that thought that too. But I don't think she liked Todd, and I don't think Todd liked her. I mean, we heard he drove up the coast or whatever to help her, like, move out, but then they got into a fight. The whole thing was very messy. Oh, yeah, the fight. I forgot about because the fight was covered up.

Yeah, but then she was nice in this scene. I mean, yes, she was still kind of like stern and hard, but that's fine. I can handle that. It's just when you're downright disrespectful to your daughter when she's crying. When Bramwin started to like get into it, she walked over and sat next to her. I know. I never in a million years. We had like seven episodes of Muzzy last year.

Never in a million years would I have ever pegged her to go sit next to her daughter and comfort her when she was crying because we had seen that and she didn't do that. But now, Todd's out of the picture. maybe this whole thing is just a scheme set up by Todd. You ever think about that? I can get on board. To get the two of them together. I'm not giving him credit.

I can't do that. I just wanted to say that line. No, fuck that guy. But yeah, no, like I said, credit where credits too. I'm not like, I'm not on the Muzzy train yet. But it's a step in the right direction because the other big thing. This is like big time credit. I'll give her is that Bronwyn was making jokes that last year Muzzy would have turned her nose up

and been like that's, that's not godly. That's gross. Yeah. gross and this year she half laughed half cringed and that's fine that's fine it's a step yeah steps also never please never save muzzy train again i don't know why that that that bothered i don't like the muzzy train i don't know i will quite explain how it made me feel but it didn't make me feel good no i can yeah i can feel that i got you also now you have that in your pocket if you ever want to just like eat away it makes oh yeah yeah that's coming back out

That's the same realm as stop spitting my mouth and telling me it's raining. Yeah. So yeah, now put that one in the lexicon. But I'll save it. Don't worry. Anyway, let's get to Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow. Meredith's just got back from the Glad Awards. So they're meeting up to have a little drink, a little lunch.

L.B orders a grilled cheese. Like I said, these are the stupid things that shoot her and I love. If she gets a grilled cheese every episode, I'll be so excited. we'll get the grilled cheese counter going. You know what else is my gripe? I know that Brooks isn't our favorite person on NextGen. How was he expected to go up against an entire cast of people? Like he didn't win his award that he was nominated for because the cast of Southern

Hospitality one? It's not fair. What is it? 1v5? That's not fair. It was. It was more than that, wasn't it? Yeah, he should have gotten, they should have been one-on-one.

That should have been a one-on-one thing. I don't think that's fair either. whole one person from Southern hospitality. Or, I mean, they could be nominated at the same time. I don't care who's nominated and who's not. Yeah, multi-nomination. One v. four or five. That's just disrespectful.

Yeah, I agree. I actually, I would have loved it if Meredith was like, yeah, you know, it was just an honor to be nominated. We had such a great time. But it's unfair that he didn't win. That would have been fun. Yeah, he got, he got screwed. That would have a whole story.

Yeah. He got. But Lisa talks about the J.B. Husband boss stuff and them kind of moving forward with everything. Marks gives him credit. The flashback to the juicy Couture fit from Lisa Barlow was fantastic. That brought back all the memories of the 2000s. It's like, oh, yeah, those were a big thing. Remember it said juicy on the ass?

I should get a pair of those. By the way, I don't know if you thought this too, but that picture just reminded me. Like, I think every kid who grew up in the 90s had a picture with their family or like with just their parents. and it was always on the same part. Like it looked like in Florida on the same highway. Like that's the vibe that I got from that where it's like the same two or three palm trees. It's like everybody stops here in the rental car that they have that they're going to Disney World.

And they take a picture. Like I have a picture with my family right there. And so does J.B. and Lisa. And that's what I want to see. Maybe you're their cousin and you didn't know it. Oh, I would never show about it. You're related to J.B. husband, boss. I wouldn't either.

I would brag about you all the time. but they're talking about Whitney and the shenanigans at the drag brunch and how they're going to handle this whole thing. This tells you everything you need to know about what these two are going to do and how they're both going to handle it individually. Just look at Meredith's face.

She is not going to budge. She's also not going to sit there and totally talk shit. She's more going to do what Meredith Marks does and be like, ha, see, victim. She was lying the whole time. I fucking told all of you. I knew it was going on. It's such a good mix of I was the victim of all of this and she was going after me because she hates me.

And also almost like relief where it's like finally she's telling the truth. She just hated me all along. The truth will set you free Whitney. I'm happy for you there, but I still don't like you. And also you were coming after me for some weird reason. And I don't really understand it. It was such a great mix that Meredith could like throw in there. And again, there's certain things that happen in this episode along.

the way because you're not really sure what you're going to get and the two of them sit down. I'm like, all right, are they going to talk about Mary and Robert Jr. or anything like that? No, Meredith is going to have a good Meredith quote talking about Whitney. That's what I want. Yep. Yep, and you're going to get LB venting. And the venting tells me she's going to get it out and then be open to a conversation with Whitney. And she says a lot of stuff, which I hope gets back to Whitney because it was funny.

And she kind of dragged her. She called her a dingbat. Nobody takes her seriously. It's clown behavior. was a very strong line. Tough, but true. And I agree with it. But I think it shows me that the gloves are off at least.

Yeah, we're not like pussyfooting around, like beating around the bush and doing all of those things that we got, we got used to where especially Lisa would get to a point in the season where she would just stop talking about everybody. Like, you know, it start off strong. It shows me that you and Meredith are in such a good place that you're able to sit down

and shit talk everybody else and actually shit talk them, which I need. Yeah. Yeah, having a good duo of LB and Meredith Marks will make this show better. Like the first three seasons before they had their falling out, like that was a big proponent of that. Granted, LB was was more or less subservient to Meredith Marks back in those days, but we have a different LB now. So to have both of them join forces could be good. I don't want them to join forces and only go after Whitney.

That would buy. No. Spread the hate around. Spread the hate and also like go have fun. I want to see this duo go do things together. Now, let's get to the end of this episode, which, again, a lot of heavy stuff. It's at Mary's house, and she took a three-week break from filming. And they had the service for Robert Jr., you know, going around the house.

It's just tough. It's tough to watch this stuff. And watching her navigate, literally navigate through the house and be able to walk into his bedroom and we have that touching moment with his dog where the dog is literally in his room which is heartbreaking and i think again it's it's a symbol and it's a show of just one strength obviously but also just her outlook on this whole thing you know she's in that room and it's again it's this this feeling of like joy and celebration of like yeah like this was my amazing kid this is an amazing dog he was such a beautiful person like it's

just the subtle things just the imagery to me was just so powerful and again like i gave her a lot of credit last year i'll give her even more credit this year like mary is a very impressive person to be able to showcase this yeah no it really was i mean flipping back from going with lisa and meredith talking shit into a very somber household the dog story absolutely broke me going in and seeing that like i i want to see and i like to think Mary is just traveling wherever the hell she wants with that dog. Like that dog is just with her side by side pretty much every day now, which that idea makes me very happy.

But it brings you right back to where you are. It's like, okay, yeah, we're having fun. Bop it around, seeing with all the ladies. Oh, yeah, we're still here. We're still going through this, figuring all these things out. We're going to have everybody over and they're going to put all their shit aside to be there for Mary. But just Mary's presence, Mary being able to show up three weeks later after taking three weeks

off from filming and be able to go through this and be how she was. in this seat. It was crazy to me. So strong, so admirable, unbelievable from her. It really was. And, you know, you get the entire group over there. And again, you see the authenticity of this crew when it mattered most. And like, you know, damn well, Mary wouldn't pull punches no matter what was going on. And she doesn't hear. And she just is very honest. It was like, you guys were there. You showed up for me. You're my family. Like, this is my family. And knowing that she just lost her son and then saying that to all of them carries a lot more weight than just saying like, oh, yeah, like, you guys are my sisters.

It's like, no, she just lost her family and she's coming to you guys as her family. And I thought they all responded well. I thought that how we've seen them handle it thus far is perfect. And I think that the reminder that no matter what's going on throughout the season, like Mary's priority number one, let's make sure we're there for Mary, regardless of whatever stupid shit we're talking about. but just one more time to attribute to her strength. It was like watching her talk about Robert, you know,

and like this is the scene that that fucked me up the most. The dog obviously was tough, but like this was really showing how strong she was and her overall perspective on losing Robert Jr. And, you know, when she says, you know, he's no longer battling, he's no longer struggling and this feeling this sense of helplessness of wanting to help him and i couldn't like that fucking shattered my heart like into a million pieces and i will say this anytime that we're talking about this topic especially in regards to mary and robert is it's not in any way

shape or form something that mary did wrong this is not her fault in any capacity And that feeling of helplessness, I can't even fathom what that feels like, not being able to go and get your son out of this situation that he's in. And I can't thank her enough, especially somebody in the recovery community, that she is doing this on a platform like this. It goes so far. And I don't know if everybody realizes it to discuss it, the fact that she did it in a sense. celebratory way, talking about how amazing her son was and what a gift the world just lost, hopefully, I hope and pray that this puts some perspective to people out there who look down on this sort of thing of the people that go through this, this is what they look like.

It's a life. It's a person. It's a family. It's all of these things that go into it. And it gets chalked up to this. Oh, he was an addict. Oh, he was a drunk. He's those words being thrown around and people talking about it so haphazardly.

I don't think you know how much it stings. I don't think you know how much of a dent that leaves on us. It's somebody that got lost along the way. And they're trying to get back to a place that that normal people are in to just live your life. To just not think about this thing every day. To not think that you're letting everybody down. The biggest thing I would like for people to take away. nobody in the throes of addiction or alcoholism wants to be there.

We're not having a fun time. You're not popping a bottle and going, fuck yeah, let's rip it. You're disgusted with yourself. You're lonely. You're isolated and you're in pain. And unfortunately,

a lot of situations end in the same way that Robert Juniors did. And I promise you, if there's less of a stigma on this topic and people feel supported and not look down upon, we will reduce the amount of people that die from this. This fucked up horrible, horrible disease. And Mary's doing such a service to people and teaching and educating and showing the other side of this. And I hope that people can take that away from this. Yeah, and even going as far, and not that she owes it to the rest of the cast or anything like that,

but to go as far as to make it like a full-blown celebration of life, when everybody's going into it, like this is going to be the saddest day possible. This is going to be brutal to get through. I can't imagine what Mary's going through. My heartbreaks for her and all of those things go into it to find out that it was way more of a celebration, like a coming home, that everything's going to be okay. is incredible. And again, it's just such a testament to Mary and seeing everybody sitting around her house and obviously how strong she is. But to see everybody around the house like, okay, like we got this. We can help her out. We can figure everything else out.

That's even more powerful too to go through all of that after what she's got to be going through to sit there and be able to have that conversation was incredible. It really was. It really was. She's an impressive woman. but we will see how the rest of the season shakes out. Obviously, a heavy season. So I'm just, I'm curious how we go forward from here. But I thought as far as, you know, the show goes, I thought it was a good episode. I thought that they did write by Mary.

that would be fucking nuts. Yeah, definitely would be. From the 86th housewife, is there something wrong with me if I think that this was one of, if not the best episode of housewives? I think this is,

obviously, you're right to say that. I think this is a completely different realm of housewives. I don't think that this is, I was thinking about it earlier. Like, yes, obviously it was, incredibly powerful and

really well done episode that's why we keep talking about the production of it and how Bravo handled it. It's not necessarily, at least for me right now, just kind of on the heels of it. It's not like a rewatchable episode. I don't know if it's something that you want to kind of go back into. It's very heavy. But in terms of overall

levity, yes, I would say it's one of the best on housewife shows. That's true. One of the most impactful. The most impactful. I would say the most, yeah. From Diana and Jerry, are you guys still quote unquote worried about this cast? Jerry's out.

I could see something like that happening. I think Heather's probably going to be the first person to cast the first out now. I would say Heather or Whitney is my guess. Yeah. But the cousins, it's always one of them. It's always one of them. But yeah.
