Bros & Shows - Angie K gets Revved Up at the Harley Museum (Part 1 of 2) (RHOSLC Full Recap)

Episode Date: October 15, 2024

What's up Bros? The RHOSLC crew finishes up their stint in Milwaukee with a trip to the Miller Beer Caves. Lisa gets wind of Whitney and Angie talking some smack via Meredith. She decides to have her ...own adventure by recruiting Britani and Meili to head to a curling facility. Whitney tries to defend herself against the Ali Baba rumors. She claims if Meredith was a real friend she would've approached her about it, Meredith claims if Whitney was a real friend she would've asked her for help with her jewelry line. But Meredith continues to Meredith as she moves behind the scenes planting seeds. Bronwyn is still trying to get a handle on how this group operates. We do find it interesting that she is feeling a little insecure that she wasn't invited on the curling trip, and seems like she feels some type of way about not being on the cool kids list with Lisa. She also continues to bring up her husbands age. Dinner at the Harley museum gets heated when Lisa goes in on Whitney and she claims shes 'steamrolling' her. But the argument quickly shifts to Angie vs Lisa, and it seems like Angie is done with the conditional friendship. She will no longer bend the knee to Lisa and she makes some very valid points. Shockingly, Lisa goes low and takes a jab at Angie's daughter, Elektra. Out of left field, Britani declares her and Jared are broken up. The crew questions it, Bronwyn asks some deeper questions, and Britani decides to go after Bronwyn's marriage (which we may or may not have some questions about ourselves). Things escalate but the group comes together for a drag show at the end and we get our first taste of Hot Dog Couture... Want more Bros content? Starting point is 00:00:00 One, and sip, and two, and sip, and three, and sip. Oh, hey, I'm just sipping Tim's all-new protein ice latte. Starting at 17 grams per medium latte, Tim's new protein lattes, protein without all the work, at participating restaurants in Canada. This episode is brought to you by MewMew, introducing Mutein, the new feminine fragrance by the iconic fashion house. Mutein captures the youthful, unconventional essence of the Mew-Mew girl, brought to life by a gourmand,
Starting point is 00:00:30 intimate and enveloping scent of wild strawberry and brown sugar accords. Mutine is not a statement, but a knowing glance, a sweet rebellion, lighthearted and laced with wit, a gesture made for oneself. Discover the new fragrance,
Starting point is 00:00:44 Mutine, now available in Canada. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be a... Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm Karma.
Starting point is 00:01:04 And yes, I am a bitch. Brov Bros. Good afternoon, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Bravo Bros. Your favorite podcast from The Bros. For everybody, for whoever wants to listen, I am your co-host, Steel Russell, joined as always by the one and only Goots McShutes. What's up, dude? The old reversal gets them every time.
Starting point is 00:01:23 We weren't ready for it. Nope, nope, never ready for it. But, uh, you know, not a lot. Just enjoying some Bravo time. It's just a great time to be a Bravo fan with all these Housewife shows on. I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, although we're doing OC later.
Starting point is 00:01:39 I don't know why I just throw a little cup of tea joke in there. Whatever. Hey, we got a little double episode going on today, but we're starting off with Salt Lake and keeping it in chronological order per usual. Steele, how is post baby life? Baby life. That doesn't sound good.
Starting point is 00:01:57 It doesn't sound good. great. Nope, I'm going to address it. Baby life is great. We had a little bit of a rough for night last night. And here's my new platform. You ready for this? I'm ready. I'm taking on big formula. That's what I'm going after now. Big formula. And I should have known because Poppy was the same way. We started with the regular stuff and it didn't sit well whether we had to transition to the gentle stomach stuff. But here's the thing. It's all a ruse. They know that you're going to switch to the other stuff because it's more expensive. If they were nice to people, they'd make all the formula gentle stomach, but they don't do that.
Starting point is 00:02:32 And here's the interesting part. When you go to the store to buy it, there's plenty of the regular shit. There's none of the sensitive stomach stuff. So I had to drive everywhere to try to find it. So that tells me that everyone else was doing this too. Second evidence. Second evidence. Second evidence.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Evidence of the second. When we went to her first pediatrician appointment, they give you, like, they gift you a couple of things of formula. Yeah. We didn't tell them what kind of formula we used. and both containers came as the purple stuff, which is the gentle stomach stuff. And I was like, no, no, we're using the blue.
Starting point is 00:03:04 And she's like, oh, okay, we'll get to some of that. But they offered initially the gentle tummy. And I should have known because Poppy needed it too. And everyone I talked to, it's the same trope. And I'm telling you, big formula, I'm on to you. Okay, infamil, I see you. I know what you're doing. This is all a big ploy to get people to spend 20 extra dollars on a tub,
Starting point is 00:03:26 which of course I will for my baby girl, but the veil has been peeled back and I will not rest until I get to the bottom of this. Why is it not all sensitive stomach? Hmm? That goes for, you know what? That doesn't go for just Enfamil.
Starting point is 00:03:41 That goes for Simulac as well. I'm coming for everybody. You're really doing down big formula. Fuck them all. God, taking down any big corporation seems to be a task, but I wish you the best in your journey. I'll keep you updated.
Starting point is 00:03:54 I'll keep you updated. I'm going to start by wearing, a bottle. I'm going to be a bottle. And I'm going to stand outside. No, in the picket line. I got to recruit some other people, though. But I'm going picketing with my baby. Yeah. There you go. I'd be like, you made her tummy hurt. Fuck you, Infamil. I won't say that in front of my daughter. But you know what I'm saying. Yeah. But yeah. Other than that, she's been a rock star. Honestly, she's been sleeping really well. So we've been sleeping as much as we can. And, you know, just love and life. Life is good right now, despite the Phillies trying to ruin my life. Exactly. Exactly. And you know what? Fuck it.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Victory Monday. Oh, yeah. Good and pretty. Feels a little dirty, but yeah. Our head coach is yelling at the fans, but hey, victory Monday. Fuck it. What a time. Let's talk Salt Lake.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Let's talk about it. Yeah. Another stellar episode. This cast is firing on all cylinders, dare I say. The newbies are bringing their own additions to the show. I love the the opposite ends of the spectrum we have here,
Starting point is 00:04:59 between Bronwyn and Britney, mainly clever. She can go away. She's not doing anything for me. But Brittany and Bronwyn, pairing these two together is like oil and water. They do not mix, but when they clash,
Starting point is 00:05:13 it's great. I don't know if Brittany really knows what's going on at the time in the situation, but I like that Bronwyn continues to go after her. Brittany's not afraid of her. She doesn't back down. And they're just so different. And then you mix in the rest of the situation. this cast who's all everybody's doing their job everybody showed up to work this season love that for
Starting point is 00:05:31 us mary cosby where the fuck have you been outstanding performance thus far heather is doing what she always does lisa is doing what she always does meredith i mean they're all doing what we love them for they're so on the nose right now that i am thoroughly enjoying this year yeah mary specifically let's spotlight her for a second because it's almost like sometimes while watching it feels like she's a completely different person. Like somebody abducted Mary Cosby, an alien came over her house. That may have happened.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Saw the furniture said, it's just one of us. It's not a real human. It's definitely somebody pretending to be a human based on the chairs alone. I'm going to tractor beam her up here and we're going to replace her with somebody else. However, every once in a while, the old Mary pops up and you're like,
Starting point is 00:06:12 oh yeah, it is still Mary. I don't know what she's doing. I don't know if somebody had a real sit down with her. If she somehow got paid more or something this year, but they said it was contingent. Like, is there,
Starting point is 00:06:23 call that like uh the bonuses that you get in sports uh oh you uh an incentive yeah yeah so like did they incentivize her and say you can get a a portion of the proceeds that go to like certain things for this show if you show up because that's what it seems like she is has started off i'm still worried it's going to fall off but at this point every episode it's like i don't really care if it does fall off because she's given so much already yeah we might look back and say wow what happened to that first season or the beginning of the season mary but honestly it's great it is great and it, like you said, it leaves the door open for a complete relapse into old Mary. Because at that point, I'd be like, oh, there she is.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And it would be probably entertaining, or at least a little bit. But yeah, she was on watch what happens live and was relatively normal. She was still wacky and Mary, but it wasn't nearly as unhinged as prior. She didn't say anything disparaging body remarks. Like, it was relatively normal. I was like, she didn't say anything about like the show needing her. Like she did last year, which didn't make any sense last year. If she said it this year, I might be inclined to agree at this point,
Starting point is 00:07:25 but the rest of the cast is doing so well that even then you don't really need Mary Cosby. It's just a little added bonus for us that it's nice. Yeah, no, it really is. I've been enjoying her. The newbies are doing their job. Everyone's, everyone is tiring up their bootstraps, bringing their lunch pail to work, and I'm here for it. Let me tell you, but let's jump into the sentence.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Yep. Yeah, well, because people know the phrase, just because you don't know, it doesn't mean that people don't know it. It's not that I don't know it. It's just, what is this? four episodes in a row that we're talking about lunch pails. They're bringing their lunch pails, and every time they show up to work with a lunch pail, I'm going to give them their props for bringing their lunch pail.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Maybe I'll change it up next week. Bring your hard hat to work. Getting gritty with it. I like that. Bring your hard hat. Okay, bring your hard hat. Whatever. Shut up.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Blue collar. Bring your hard hat. Yeah, that's what these women are. They are blue collar. Sure. Yeah. It is not something I would use to. Any of them have ever done like a.
Starting point is 00:08:21 like a manual labor day. No. There's no way. Unless it includes like moving a glass at a dinner that's already been set up and organized by somebody else about three or four inches. Otherwise, it's all about angles. No angles.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Like angles. Where's that sun? We start out with Todd and Bronwyn recapping what happened in the suite at the Bucks game. And this leaves room for concern for me once again because she's still stuck on this shit. And I'm not in a bad way. I'm not over it. It's just more so how, how stuck is she?
Starting point is 00:08:51 going to get on things because this is pretty mellow as far as housewives nonsense goes i like that she called everybody out last week like look if you're all going to be messy you will have to allow me to have some mess as well i agreed with that i like that she just threw it out there but the fact that she's still really stuck on this and brings it to a deeper level like i've never fought with lisa before and you know i'm not really sure where to go from here but she way lays all of my concerns because ends it with but i think we're ready to move forward now do you think that she actually has that in her to be like, all right, we're settled, let's move on. Or do you think that's for the camera and she actually does simmer on this shit for too long?
Starting point is 00:09:29 I think she definitely simmers on it just based off of her conversation with Todd. You can tell he is up to date with everything going on. I mean, his reactions to things going on. So this doesn't seem like a walk in the park. It seems like a walk in the park for them, meaning that she's doing this all the time, even outside of the show. However, I don't want her to fully move on to the point that we never, you know, there's no lesson learned. She just, you know, kind of like washes her hands and just moves on with everything. I'm happy that we didn't have to hear about it the rest of the episode.
Starting point is 00:09:59 If we did, then that would have really been a sticking point for our recap today. She just had a little in and out with Todd right then and there and then kind of pushes it under the rug, honestly. And I feel like if she can learn something from it and bring it up later and just keep her eye out for some tendencies that Lisa has, which we can point out easily. that, you know, maybe it's different from the show Lisa versus Lisa in Nordstrom when you're shopping. I don't think so. You don't think it is now? I think it's fairly like a tiny bit, but maybe ever so slightly, but I think she is truly so in her own world.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Oh, yeah. That that transcends TV. I don't think, I think that that is her 95% of the time. Does it get amplified when the camera's on? Potentially, yes. But is it out of character? No, it's definitely not out of character, but I don't think that she. gossips about the other women
Starting point is 00:10:48 in the show as much as she would off the show. You know what I mean? That's probably just a little thing that Brahman needs to learn. We're going to be talking about the other women on the show because that's how these shows work. So if she can learn it, move on, take something from it, and keep her eye off for Lisa doing that in the future, and then bring it back up at a timely time, in a timely fashion, that would be great. At an appropriate time.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Appropriate time. Yeah, there you go. Nice. I just want to touch on this quickly because it, again, alludes to the evolution of Mary. We get this scene with Whitney and Mary getting ready and it ends with her going, love you, love you too. I'm like, what did
Starting point is 00:11:25 she do to garner love? How did you get this? Did she tell you that you had makeup on your tooth? What did she say? Did she tell you that your back was unzipped? Did she zip you up? Probably. Something happens. I just need to know that though. If we know how innocuous it
Starting point is 00:11:41 is that you can easily get into Mary's good graces, can't you just accept that? That Whitney did something at some point in time? Yes, except I want to know where the line is. Like what constitutes, okay, you're my friend now, and what's just simply not enough? Fair enough. That's where I'm stuck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:58 See, that's fair. But we get to Meredith and Lisa. And as we know, they seemingly squashed things last year at the end of the year and in the off season especially that made this pact, hey, in the future, if anyone's talking shit, we will come to each other and just say, hey, heard so-and-so is talking. shit giving you a heads up so this doesn't come back to bite us credit to meredith for standing by that now is that because she wants her friendship with lisa to flourish i don't buy that at all i think she found an opportunity to go to lisa with some dirt on whitney and angie and wanted to use that
Starting point is 00:12:33 i don't think it has anything to do with her friendship i think it was an advantageous moment but i do like that she is continuing even after last year because we talked about it a lot last year. Had the shit with Monica not popped off, the DMs would have been more of a sticking point. She got off the hook because she was. She was diving into DMs. What did she say? I haven't caught up with my DMs in a while. Yeah, I have to catch up on my DMs. Yeah. We know she's been in there. We know because of the Greek mafia thing that she's been in there. So she did get a lot off the hook. I think there's definitely more there. So here's an opportunity to again, point it in a different direction but also you would think that at some point she would be like oh i got away with it
Starting point is 00:13:12 maybe i'll settle down this year but no no no i'm actually kind of happy it's funny too because i think the exact same thing and we thought that she would have a different approach going into the season i'm thankful that she doesn't because it's fun she is towing the line and she is asking for somebody to just push her in at this point and she's just looking back like come on do it like i have no I have zero regret for anything that I said last year and I'm going to continue to do the same behavior this year but I will say this show is remarkably better and it's just a lot more entertaining
Starting point is 00:13:42 when Lisa and Meredith are on good terms I agree with them together are a really tough duo to break down especially when they're not allowing you to talk shit on the other person as a third party because you just put in so much work to your friendship which we see a little bit later but the two of them together it just works the way that Meredith gets Lisa going she can basically dictate all of Lisa's movements
Starting point is 00:14:04 and if she's doing it from a good place of you're my friend and I want you to support me and I'm coming to you because this is bothering me that's great. If she's doing it in a manipulative way then we obviously want Lisa to go back at Meredith but after all the things that they've gone through it's just nice to see the two of them getting along at this point. It's refreshing. It's refreshing to see this duo back together
Starting point is 00:14:22 and working against other people. It's fun when they do that and not for nothing but Angie and Whitney we were both talking shit about Lisa. Yeah. Is that here's the difference, though. For Angie, fine. You deserve to talk some smack. You've been going through it with her and everything that you're saying about her.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Most of us agree with you. Not everybody. I've seen the comments, but you've got the majority support. Whitney does these things to herself. She puts herself in these positions. That whole interaction between her and Lisa the first episode. Did she have some decent points at some point? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Okay, fine. but you immediately backtrack when you start using millennial trigger words. When you start doing that bullshit again when it's not applicable. That was the biggest issue. It doesn't apply here. You're just using it and you do it again later with steamroll. You just use these words to backtrack and get the fuck out of there. For her to talk shit, yeah, Meredith, throw her under the bus,
Starting point is 00:15:17 especially because you two aren't viving right now. Angie, I thought was interesting. And I don't know if that stems back to last year at the dinner when Meredith is she still upset. at Angie for bringing up all that shit because that would be a very Meredith move to be like, we're fine, don't worry about it, but still be moving the needle behind closed doors. Yeah, no, for sure.
Starting point is 00:15:36 I really just don't think that Whitney deserves to be in a place like this. You can't do this immediately after, especially because you never actually apologized for anything that you did to Lisa, especially on that podcast that she brought up. You never took any responsibility. You just said, I'm going through a healing journey and whatever I'm saying,
Starting point is 00:15:53 these are my feelings, my feelings, my feelings. healing and fillings she's healing or feeling this is what i'm experiencing so you cannot tell me what to do okay fine don't go and do the same thing that you're mad at lisa for doing back to her very plainly you have to be a little smarter about it you have to be a little shady about it you can't just walk over with angie who very clearly has an issue and walk over to lisa's friend who's probably the closest to her on the show right now and say hey let's talk shit about lisa like it doesn't work that way. You have to be smarter about this. Angie, again, I agree with you. She has every right to do it because of what she's been experiencing with Lisa and she wants to call her out for it.
Starting point is 00:16:34 And she has and Lisa doesn't really respond well. So yeah, I'm going to go to Meredith and talk a little bit of shit. That's fine. I'm good with that. That is par for the course. Whitney attaching herself to all of this. Just not a good move by Whitney. But at this point, what is a good move by Whitney? Conditions supply, visit your local Volvo retailer or go to explorevolvo.com. She doesn't know what to do, and that's the thing. No, and like you have enough on your plate at the moment,
Starting point is 00:18:05 because as we see in this next scene when she's talking to Heather, and you know, Heather's torn about the Alibaba, blah, blah rumors, and trying to get to the bottom of it for Whitney's benefit, where she's like, look, if this is true, or if people are talking shit like this and it's going viral, you need to nip in the bud because this can bury you. You're upcharging Alibaba jewelry like 20%. That's atrocious.
Starting point is 00:18:31 And her whole thing, and it's so funny the way that these two argue Meredith and Whitney, because they're both stuck on, well, she should have came to me. And they both say the same thing. Totally. We call that last episode easily. And we actually saw through all of that.
Starting point is 00:18:47 And whether or not Meredith actually feels that way is definitely up for debate because I do think it's a bit of a cop out. I think that Meredith just doesn't like Whitney. So anytime that she has a chance to just throw her like somewhere under the bus or point something out that she saw in her DMs or whatever she's going to do that actually goes against Whitney, she's going to do it because she just doesn't like her. If she had, if Whitney had gone to Meredith and asked about this, I don't know if anything really would have been that different, honestly.
Starting point is 00:19:13 So she would have been condescending as hell and been like, this is my area. Why are you doing jewelry? And she's so stuck on the fact that you're coming into my space. Why didn't you ask me for advice? It's like you're not the queen of jewelry. She's starting a jewelry line. She's worn jewelry your whole life. I'm sure she had people bouncing ideas off of.
Starting point is 00:19:32 It's not like she just, well, I don't know. Hopefully had a team. People at Alibaba, I guess. But hopefully bouncing ideas off of other curators, other creators, people on her team to come up with the line. So at what point do you want her to read? out to you, Meredith, just because you also make jewelry. That's my confusion. Once again, if you look across the housewaves, if you look across the housewaves, you'll see that the majority of them have some kind of business, whether it's health care products, hair care products,
Starting point is 00:20:05 makeup, jewelry, bath bombs, you name it, you can probably find two or three other housewives that have a similar line. So for her to just assume that, oh, you're doing jewelry, why didn't you come to me and talk to me about it and then take offense to it. That's the funniest part. Why would you take offense to her not doing it? And I don't think she truly gives a shit. I think that she's just upset that she's stepping on her toes because that was her thing, like taking baths. I bet the bath bomb thing could be as innocuous as if somebody went up to her and said, I also take baths. And she would say, no, you don't. Baths are my thing and get upset about somebody else taking a bath. I just think you add bomb to it because it's,
Starting point is 00:20:45 It's a tangible product. But she would be upset about other people simply bathing. Yeah. No, I feel weird saying this, but I'm on Whitney's side for that by far. Yeah, I think I am. Why would she reach out to you? You're not like, you're not going to give her guidance. When have you ever given her guidance on anything?
Starting point is 00:21:04 And by the way, you're just pissed off about the bath bombs because you have a monopoly on baths, I guess, a bathing in general. According to her. That's what you're going to do. And of course you're going through your DMs and looking for things. are going to go against somebody that you currently have a feud with. That's what you do. That's your M.O.
Starting point is 00:21:18 That you did it all last year. You were somehow excused from all of that, thanks to Monica, and you're just going to do it again because that's all you know how to do. So playing this card is weird because Meredith is bottom three for most approachable women on this cast. By far, maybe bottom one, honestly. Mary's probably bottom one, actually. So she's the second, second worst person that I would say would be approachable on this case. Oh, yeah, I don't blame Whitney for not doing that.
Starting point is 00:21:42 It's just Whitney gets caught up because she has no idea. what she's saying and she just starts rambling and it makes no sense but she feels like she's justified because she always ends it with that's my feelings that's how i guess doesn't matter which is very funny because her issue is with lisa and lisa does the same thing i'm lisa barlow if you don't like it that's me fuck off so they're everyone i think on this show and maybe that's where the beauty of the show is and the success of this show everybody believes that because they are themselves to their fullest extent that everyone else must accept that that they have no flaws they're infallible because they're truly being themselves again does not exonerate you from being an
Starting point is 00:22:26 asshole just because you're being yourself if that's true all you're saying is that i am truly an asshole yep but let's keep trucking i do love when lisa's like in a mood though because when when he comes in to, oh, are you getting ready for the Miller Beer Caves? And she's like, oh, no, I don't think I'm going to do that. I'll do something else. Maybe we'll get together at dinner. She's so just goodbye with you. I don't have time for that.
Starting point is 00:22:55 And Lisa's is her best when she's that person. Yeah, that's what I like her the most. When she's that flippant about plans and look, she already, I mean, Meredith had an issue with the trip to begin with. She ended up going on the trip. So kudos to her. Lisa, you're already there. I'm okay with you going and doing something else
Starting point is 00:23:11 in this format the way that it works and I love the move of cornering the two friends of and saying, hey, this is what we're actually going to go do. Why don't you guys come join me? They are too caught off guard to understand what the hell's going on. They don't realize that they're part of this scheme. It's hilarious. It's a great move by Lisa.
Starting point is 00:23:29 I love it. Yeah, they're like, are we, are we okay to do that? No, you're fine. It's like the captain. There are two plans. This will be more fun for you guys. I picked you guys personally. yeah it's like the captain of the team going up to like two freshmen and be like come on we're
Starting point is 00:23:42 going to go do some stupid shit and they're like great great sounds good cool yeah hell yeah we hung out with the seniors today mom but they get in the van and Bronwyn immediately brings up maylie and brittany not being there and going with lisa but her tone was really interesting to me because it was not like oh wow they they ditched and went somewhere else that's fucked up it was wow, Lisa didn't pick me. I'm not one of the cool kids. Maybe she must have just seen them in the hallway. And she's trying to laugh it off in front of the other women.
Starting point is 00:24:15 I'm like, this is embarrassing. Like this is, this is very insecure right now. Can you not just accept like to other people? Who cares? Why are you so but hurt about it? Why do you crave Lisa Barlow's approval? I thought it was the other way around.
Starting point is 00:24:28 I thought it was the other way around too. It's not. This scene paints a very different picture because she is genuinely upset that she was not picked by Lisa. and I thought that was extremely interesting. Yeah, no, it absolutely is. And we've done a complete 180, maybe not a 180. Well, we've done a 90-degree turn. Yeah, 90-degree return on Bronwyn.
Starting point is 00:24:46 We had her pegged as potentially top dog. If you've got Lisa Barlow clamoring for your attention, you have a good role in this show. She is not that person, apparently. We misread it. She is very upset and she is very fragile, and she does not know how to play the game. This is how it works.
Starting point is 00:25:02 If you have an issue with someone and it's not fully resolved, You're probably not going to get invited to this little foyer into the curling world, if you will. You're going to have to go with the rest of them. And it's not that big of a deal. You need to brush it off your shoulder and you need to roll with the punches and just act like nothing bothers. No, but she doesn't. She even says, I'm not on the hot list. I'm like, that's a shit look.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Because you are now saying that you are subservient to Lisa Barlow, which Lisa will eat up. When she sees this, she's going to be so happy. Oh, yeah. But if you're playing the game, like you said, this puts you at a disadvantage because the other ladies see this. And now they automatically equate you to team Lisa Barlow. So when things pop off, they're going to assume. And what you were doing so well was playing all sides up until this point. You were doing a very good job of getting into everybody's business, but not overdoing it.
Starting point is 00:25:57 This is very subtle. And I don't know how many other people got stuck on it. You and I get stuck on little things. We do. Yeah. But for me, that was a big turn. I was like, oh, shit. Well, it's a big turn to because, and whether or not Lisa's being intentional when doing this,
Starting point is 00:26:11 she's creating a team. She's creating people that want to be with her, that want to support her. So later down the line, or maybe not that far down the line, maybe an episode or two from now, when Lisa's in an issue with somebody else, Bronwyn's going to come to her defense because she wants to be on the hot list. She just said it herself. She's going to do anything that she can to get back with her, whether that means just swallowing your pride and apologizing or having a sit-down lunch with her in an episode or two.
Starting point is 00:26:33 and Lisa doesn't apologize, but you end up apologizing, and you walk away from that being like, oh, we're good again, we're friends. That's a bad look, and she's got you under her thumb. Yeah, and you don't want to be under LB's thumb. Not a good place to be. But while they're still in the rings that she loses. No, she's going to lose you.
Starting point is 00:26:51 She's going to lose you in a bathroom in the airport. And you'll be gone forever. And then she's going to do it again for another $100,000 ring. No comment. But while they're still on the bus, Angie starts going into her issues with Lisa just saying, you know, we're not on the same page right now. And I'm upset that Lisa went dark on me. And all of this stuff sounds true. Like this is where when these two are discussing and you get Lisa's side of things, Angie side of things. There's two sides to every story. The third side's the truth. All that bullshit. But I do know how Lisa Barlow is. And I do know that she is a very what have you done for me now, friend. And it seems as though we've watched over the past year and a half now, Angie. GK is starting to get her footing.
Starting point is 00:27:35 She's sent her snowflake. She's starting to realize you don't need Lisa to be on this show. You're doing fine on your own. You truly don't need anybody on this show, which is a far cry from where you started last year. She's done her job very well to get to this point. And I think that she is having this self-awareness moment where she's like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:27:54 I don't need Lisa now. And now I'm going to tell Lisa how I actually feel about this quote-unquote friendship because it is very one-sided. And Whitney jumps in and goes after Meredith and says, did you tell her? And she's like, well, of course I did. We made a pact. I just love that she didn't even beat around the bush. No.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Tell her what? What are you talking about? Nope, just right for it. Of course I told her. Yeah, it's so good. And that's when she's at her best. It's just what she does so well is offer information and not be the main culprit behind it. Like this is her MO and this is why this is why this.
Starting point is 00:28:30 season so good is because everyone's doing exactly what we like them for. That's what Meredith does. Last year with the DM, she puts it out there to somebody else, somebody else drops the bomb. She's never the one to deliver the info. Says to Lisa, Lisa doesn't go on the trip, acts kind of whatever when
Starting point is 00:28:46 Whitney's trying to get her ready for the bus. Meredith, what the fuck? Oh yeah, I said something, but I only did that because we made a pact. I can't go back on my pact, guys. I'm just being honorable. This is not my fault. What's your reasoning for doing it to Whitney and telling Heather? no idea it's the same thing it is the same thing it has nothing to do with the fact you just want to
Starting point is 00:29:05 create chaos yes information that you have and you know that you can just stand there and watch it burn and when somebody comes to you as long as you cop to it right away you don't really have anything to worry about you're just telling your friend stuff yeah but it's great continue to do that we like that move but the gang splits we get curling which mainly great shot on the first one I don't know if that was actually the first one, but she got it in the bullseye. The rest of them, not so great, but... Summer's here, and you can now get almost anything you need for your sunny days, delivered with Uber Eats. What do we mean by Almost?
Starting point is 00:29:41 Well, you can't get a well-groom lawn delivered, but you can get a chicken parmesan delivered. A cabana? That's a no, but a banana, that's a yes. A nice tan, sorry, nope. But a box fan, happily yes. A day of sunshine? No. A box of fine wines? Yes. Uber Eats can definitely get you that. Get almost, almost anything delivered with Uber Eats.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Order now. Alcohol and select markets, product availability may vary by Regency app for details. Oh, hi, buddy. Who's the best you are? I wish I could spend all day with you instead. Uh, Dave, you're off mute. Hey, happens to the best of us. Enjoy some goldfish cheddar crackers.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Goldfish have short memories. Be like goldfish. Pumpkin is here at Starbucks, and we're making it just the way you like. Handcrafted with real ingredients like our real pumpkin sauce and rich espresso, sprinkled with pumpkin spice. It's full of real flavors you'll keep coming back for. Made just for you at Starbucks. The other crew goes to the beer caves, and God damn, I should have done this before I got sober.
Starting point is 00:30:48 How cool would that be to drink beer and eat cheese in a cave in Milwaukee? It sounds like that sounds like... Although the beer is, aside from high life, and Miller Light, of course. So funny. The summer shandy and like all those things like, no, thank you. But it was so fun.
Starting point is 00:31:03 That whole scene, dude, watching Mary, who has never drank beer, quote unquote, I don't know if I believe that. Claims to have never drank beer before. Miller High Life, the champagne of beers, as they call it. Does it taste like the champagne of beers? Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:31:20 I liked Miller High Life, but it's not, as she describes, an upscale beer. it's regal it's like no you drink this at dive bars on a Tuesday at 12 like that's where you get miller high life and it makes you feel a little bit better because you can say it's the champagne of beers but really you're a piece of shit at noon in a bar on a Tuesday yeah exactly nothing wrong with that nothing wrong with that well you know some great times you can meet some great people at 12 o'clock in a dive bar at Tuesday a lunch bar a little lunch beer oh yeah maybe
Starting point is 00:31:52 a buffet that's a different kind of bar but well they're talking I had to, that's too easy. Oh, God. But let's cover the curling crew first because this is just such a funny, random topic. I didn't know we were going to get to have this season. And it's Jared Osmond. I didn't think this would be such a massive sticking point to the point that it seems from next week. Jared's going to be on the show.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Oh, I know. So all that tells me is this Donnie and Marie reject that, that lived on Osmond Lane, that has no claim to fame of his own, saw an opportunity here when Brittany was going on the show, tried to maintain his situation ship without getting too serious and continuing to call it a friendship in hopes that he could get on TV. That's what I've gathered. So you wanted to see more of his game last week when we were talking about the DMs
Starting point is 00:32:44 to the brow girl. What do you think about these messages, that long list of text messages that he sent the birthday? The video of his face and then voice memos. So no game. Run. I didn't think he had game. My point was I wanted to see how bad it got.
Starting point is 00:33:03 The double text immediately, bad move. The triple text baffling, the quadruple text with a video of your own face, that is deplorable behavior. But I also don't get it either because obviously he says maybe a couple of lines above, he goes, hey, babe. I didn't get to read the rest of it because they blurred it out a little bit. And then he says, hey, BFF. So he doesn't even know what the hell is going on. It's craziness, and I don't, look, I don't think Britney is the brightest bulb, but that's fucking insane.
Starting point is 00:33:33 The mixed signals are crazy. This guy's nuts. You need to run away. You need to show somebody all of those text messages, not just us, the audience. Show it to Lisa. Lisa will text them back. Or a detective or a cop. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Yeah, seriously. And get a restraining order. Show it to Mary's father who lived next door to Jeffrey Dahmer. Yeah. See what he thinks about it. because this is crazy and the terminology in it is crazier than that because he's like, you terminated this friendship. I thought I meant more to you and we were besties and he's using confusing language,
Starting point is 00:34:08 as you said, back and forth, babe, BFF, this, that, the gaslighting is insane. You, sir, were texting browgirl and now you, sir, are going to say that she terminated this friendship, you thought you meant more to her, that's such, I hate to use this word, triggering behavior because you know what you're trying you're trying to garner a reaction out of her that she's the problem she is not a problem he is steamroll yes this is a steamroll and she is going to get steamrolled because she wants to be in osmond that's what the root of this whole thing is but meanwhile jared what the fuck are you doing you idiot i can't outing yourself for being a loony tune on tv you could have just continued your weird life on osman lane i that sounds like the beginning
Starting point is 00:34:54 of a horror movie. Not only Jim, that episode next week, that scene specifically next week with the two of them is going to be must-see TV. Oh, God, yes. Just because of him, but we are very curious about how he is in real life. But Brittany is also way out there. So that is going to be a crazy scene that we are probably going to have to watch a couple times because I'll be laughing.
Starting point is 00:35:14 I might be crying. Who knows what's going to happen from the scene? It's going to be a roller coaster of emotions because this guy, it's so weird to me that you would willingly step into the spotlight like this when you are tied to a big name donnie marie were huge you are not you're jared nobody knows who jared is they do now they do now they do now gets the name out there well you're going to john jansen yourself dickhead like this is a bad idea where if we heard this before yeah you're you're going to johnny jay yourself jared oh and it's oh that sounds bad too i don't know what that was but i did not like that right didn't it feel
Starting point is 00:35:52 weird. Jared O. You don't fuck with Jared O'Noh. Yeah. He lives on Osmond Lane. Oh, yeah. See? Oh, dude, stop.
Starting point is 00:36:00 It's bad. He did this to himself. That's my point. What are you doing? You're that desperate for attention? Like an early, like Edgar Allan Poe like horror story or something. Yes. Jared O'N Lane.
Starting point is 00:36:12 Never to be heard from again. Seriously. He's Sweeney Todd. Yeah, sure. But let's get to the beer caves. We already went over. the tastings of the beer. I get confused with Brownman.
Starting point is 00:36:26 I don't know if it's insecurity. I don't know. I think we can gather at this point that she does have some insecurities, whether it be with Lisa or just her life. I'm not entirely sure. She brings up her husband's age a lot. Yeah. And it's confusing to me because you don't want people to think you're a gold digger,
Starting point is 00:36:43 as you say at the end of this episode. You claim to not be a gold digger, but you also claim to have Google financed him, which I don't know what that means. I don't think that was real. by the way okay all right well i didn't know because i also don't know what that is but the fact that you continue to bring up every single chance you get you disparage it you act like it's weird like oh you had a whole life before me like he didn't have colored television i'm like
Starting point is 00:37:08 oh my god what do you what's the play what's her i don't know what's her play is but i also just realize something and she doesn't say this until the end of the episode but since we're talking about it now with her and todd she said last week or two weeks ago when we met Todd that the way that they met was through a networking event in which he asked for her email and then she had to ask all of her friends and they said no he was hitting on you but when she says it to Brittany she said that they sat down next to each other at lunch and he made her laugh so it just seemed a little off maybe enough to be like oh i don't know she mentioned that they talked at the event or whatever and at the end of discussing she thought it was a business thing
Starting point is 00:37:49 and he asked for the email and everyone else said no he was hitting on on you. So it, it, but this is what she's done in the past, too, intentionally blurring the lines a little bit where it's not completely untrue or different. Right. Right. It's too generalized that there's not enough specificity for me to know. Okay, that's definitely how you met. It's the trite versus the iconic, which we got last week. Humor and started making a lot of jokes and a lot of sarcasm during all of that, which makes me ask more questions. That's the question. So I don't know what's going on there. It's a good question. it's going to be interesting to watch
Starting point is 00:38:23 but I felt bad for the tour guide that that dude has no camera presence or charisma and that's not fair to say because he probably loves his job and he's probably very good at it didn't play well no but uh yeah it was just the lack of uh
Starting point is 00:38:39 delivery jeaneseecois if you will but the weird thing is he's probably done that before I would imagine he's probably had tours before so he should have this down if this is his job he just got a little tight on camera you know tight on camera yeah i think that's what happened to but we get another domer sighting which is exciting yeah well mary's talking to the bartenders and it's on who you are this is now i'm i'm under the impression this is definitely a lie because they're carrying the
Starting point is 00:39:06 body parts out in black trash bags and they were cooked that's that's not what was carried out of domer's apartment that it was just body parts in multiple different kinds of containers some were frozen they weren't cooked there were penises frozen if you really want to know if you need to know hey you know where he went to college where oh oh yeah he shares an alma mater the rumor is that his dorm room is in uh smith hall which is where i was but the door is bricked off i don't know if that's true i never found it that rumor rumor is that dommer's dorm room was bricked off that's what people say i don't know like ripped up, am I right? Yeah, no. Absolutely not. Too soon. We're making Dommer jokes now?
Starting point is 00:39:57 This is supposed to be a highbrow show. I already made another one and you just glossed over it. You did what you say? You said we've got another Dumber sighting, which is always great. I'm like, depends on who you are. I didn't hear it. Well done. Two Dapper jokes. That's what you came here for, right?
