Bros & Shows - Anniversaries? Unclear. Finances? BORING! (RHORI Full Recap S1 Reunion Part 2)
Episode Date: June 30, 2026What's up bros? We're at the end of maybe the most exciting first season of housewives of all time and we simply want more. Well, we don't want more Rulla and definitely no more Brian but we work thro...ugh those issues in this episode. Hopefully, there's a fun scheme at the end of this for Rulla but we're probably just fanfictioning at this point. Either way, we send the ladies off on a relatively good note and know this offseason will be full of ups and downs! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

I only really have one question after all that.
After the whole season, whole reunion, there's just one question.
Why the hell did Brian subject himself to this?
Why is he on TV?
I am so confused why he would willingly put himself in this spot multiple times.
I mean, I have no idea.
I'm sitting in a sexy position right now.
This feels right.
This absolutely feels right.
This is me on vacation.
This is me just laying down.
Brian,
I don't know.
I think we can probably figure out what he was thinking and what he was doing.
It's very, very simple.
I don't think it's overly complicated.
I think that we know exactly what he was doing.
And as soon as he came in, it was very clear what his plan was.
Why he decided to do that?
I don't know.
I have no idea.
It doesn't seem like the right call to me.
Maybe it's a fetish.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
It's a fetish.
But then we would.
be kink shaming, I think. I said
previously, I'll kink shame him.
Fuck that guy. Yeah, yeah, we
can kink shame that guy. But it doesn't mean anybody else.
Everybody else, you're still free to go kink it up.
Kink it up. Yeah, go do whatever you want.
Just not Brian.
Yeah.
As there's a drive in a deep left field
by Kastiano. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock.
And so that'll make it a
I don't need the spotlight.
I shine just fine.
Hi, I'm karma.
And yes, I am a bitch.
Bro. Bros.
evening everybody welcome back to another episode of braf bros your favorite podcast from the bros for
everybody for whoever wants to listen i'm your co-host steel russell joined as always by the one and only
they kuder magooter yeah i don't know about that one uh yeah definitely took a turn uh i am no
longer sitting in a sexy position i that was very uncomfortable i could not sit there for 40 minutes
but there's a fun just look just figuring it out i mean
I'm like sitting in a essentially like a wicker beach chair.
But you know, look, we do things.
This is what's going to happen.
We have no idea what this week looks like.
I haven't had a moment to really watch much except for Rhode Island.
But here we are because we value you.
And because America's 250th birthday is this week.
And we want you to think about us, not that.
That's more important.
We're more important.
I agree, actually.
Not for the reasons.
You would have to get into all that.
You know, it's a weird, it's a weird birthday.
Yeah, we got the World Cup too.
It's a good time for the World Cup.
Yeah.
Well, you know what?
At least the World Cup has gotten some good PR.
People realize like, oh, you know, the people here, not everyone's a piece of shit.
So that's been cool that they've seen that some of us aren't just evil, vindictive fucks.
But, hey, that's a different podcast for a different day that I'm happy to talk.
about at some point but not right now because right now we're here to talk about
shooter on vacation and more importantly rhode island because i mean first things to get out of the way
the little uh little housekeeping if you will we are going to try to get out as much as we can this
week uh shooter is on vacation and then i also have some shit coming up and look i don't know if
you've been keeping up like the bra bro episode tracker over the past six months but we haven't missed one
no yeah and it sucks too because i feel so bad when i look at the week like a week like this i look at
it i'm like i just i don't know what kind of time i'm going to have god we're going to miss it
if we miss an episode i'm going to feel so and i have no idea why i'm not that kind of guy we feel
guilty when we don't show up for you guys i know and i don't feel guilty if i don't show up for
anybody else but for you guys i'm like ah man i can't can't let them down they're they're going
to need us to talk about the valley on thursday which we will the valley i will prioritize there
are certain shows we're going to prioritize because there are big shows that people want to know.
But, you know, some other things might fall apart.
But for the Valley, I mean, I promised.
I promised everybody, I'm probably going to have a couple of beers before I do it.
And we're going to have some fun with there because that might be the maybe I just lead in for the
valley.
It's like that's the only way we're going to have fun is if I.
And then we talk about your drinking habits.
Yeah.
Shooter.
I know this didn't come out until Friday morning.
So we don't know what time you filmed.
Hey, guys, it's 8.30 in the morning.
I'm seven beers.
I really wanted to go into method acting.
We'll compare your drinking habits to my drinking habits and find out if you have problematic drinking based on that.
Did you do this?
Oh, you do.
We may find out you're an alcoholic.
Oh, you do all those things?
You know, a lot more interesting to talk about that.
Oh, shit.
Well, I need to talk to you off camera because this is a bigger deal.
No, we just do a full intervention on camera.
That's probably the best way to do it.
That would get some clicks.
Wow.
Yeah, I'm going to have your like, distance.
and relatives come out of your that closet behind you be like we need to talk it's all the set
up oh boy but yeah all that to say we are going to get as much out as we can we're not going to
take the week off you'll still have plenty of content just might not be like the five or six
apps you're used to for the next week or two but you know i think that we we've heard like a little
breather but we do want to keep you guys informed so we the biggest take is a hundred fucking
degrees in Philadelphia on like Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
And I don't know if you've heard us before, but I mean, back here where I am at the beach
house, I'm okay.
But I know your room gets hot.
This room gets hot as balls.
So I don't want steel to have heat stroke if we're recording during that.
Ideally, no, but yeah.
Yeah.
We care about you.
So we're going to get shit out for you guys.
We're not just going to take, uh, take weeks off.
But, uh, we might might have a day off here and there over the next couple of weeks.
So just buckle up.
get ready for that.
But back to reunion talk,
Rhode Island put together quite possibly one of the best first seasons,
top to bottom.
Reunion,
actual season,
full cast,
everyone brought it except one person,
but that one person did,
I'm not giving her any credit for the reunion,
but it did provide a lot of entertainment for the reunion.
So I'm not mad that she was on this season,
but I'm also not giving her credit.
This had nothing to do with her.
it's just the fact that she was involved,
you know, with Rula.
I'll just say the name.
Yeah, it's just not hide it anymore.
It's the last episode of the season.
It's the last time we're covering Rhode Island until next year.
Yeah, let's keep it secretive.
They don't know who we're talking about.
It's funny too because like I, I mean,
I don't really, I've kind of just like not cared about Rula anymore.
Once I realized that we got to that point where we really weren't getting anything from
her gave her a little bit of the reunion,
still very clear that we weren't getting anything.
Then she goes on a tan.
to talk about like you could talk to Brian when he comes out okay now you're starting to
annoy me the thing that really annoyed me the most and and i understand if people are out there in the
camp of like all right joellen give it a bit of arrest i wanted her to keep going at her
my big problem was when rula had nothing more to say then she started taking those
completely unfounded baseless attacks at joelan that's where it's like okay i'm watching
this saying that you lost i can tell joelan isn't letting her get letting it get to her which is
good, but it doesn't mean that you get to do this shit.
Like, you just have to sit there.
I'm not saying even sit there and take it.
And we can have a discussion about whether or not Joe Ellen's intentions were pure.
And, you know, towards the end of this, it gets a little murky where she's like, look,
I just want the best for you.
I don't know if that's true anymore.
I think that was thrown out a while ago.
I think, and I don't really blame her.
Once the liar thing is reiterated for an entire season and even in this moment where she's
providing evidence, she's providing a timeline, she's.
providing all of the necessary information and Rula even admits like oh it was over in
October.
She only said October because you had just heard Brian say October whatever.
I think that because of the liar part and her inability to be like, I'm sorry because
here's all this evidence.
She keeps doubling down.
And when she sidesteps like you said, she goes back at her with, well, what about you?
Your panties are everywhere too, Joe Ellen.
What?
Yeah.
You don't have any info.
So I think that she had.
The kid line was one that really killed me.
crazy.
That was crazy.
So dumb.
But because of all of that,
I, I,
you can question the intention.
I think once the liar thing becomes so prevalent,
it doesn't matter because now she's defending yourself with your marriage.
And that's your fault, not her fault.
Yep.
Yeah.
No, absolutely.
But yeah,
the way that it just kind of breaks down,
starting off in the beginning of this,
obviously we just pick back up after Joe Allen and Brul are getting into it.
And Brul is just screaming like horror at her over and over again.
It's like, okay, there you are.
Now you're coming out of your shell.
Now you're taking some time.
It just, it goes all over the place.
I felt bad for you for the note taking because it's literally boom, from Rosie to Kelsey,
back to Jo Ellen, back to Rula.
Now we're talking to Liz.
Then the husband's going on like, Jesus, can they please just stay on one topic for a little while?
And it's funny too, because when you're looking at it from above,
they are still covering all the topics that we kind of already covered before,
but now obviously emotions are running.
People are warmed up, so we're ready to go.
that's really what happens
but these I love them
I think this cast is incredible
in the show setting
but when we get to reunion time
they can't stop they just can't help themselves
I mean they're all talking over each other
then we're flipping from topic to topic
and he couldn't really like bring it in
or try to rain it in at all
so it was a bit of a mess which is okay
it's the first season they're still learning
it was their first reunion I didn't expect it to get too clean
but they were kind of all over the place
especially for this episode
they were and it worked will it work every season every reunion no like this formula is not perfect
but it was it was entertaining enough and because i'll give joel a lot of credit we could have
stalled out a few times but she would then pull out some new information every time it was like
oh we're going back to this but then she had new information you present so it never got stale
or repetitive so i'll give her a lot of credit for that and for the people that are like
why is she so invested.
Again, once the liar thing became the main thing, I didn't care.
I don't care what her intentions are.
I don't care why she got involved in this whole thing.
I don't care who's sending her the text, I want to know because I'm curious.
I don't give a shit anymore because Rula, you didn't come in with a good defense.
You're trying to sidestep it and project.
That's not a good way to do it.
The way that Brian's acting throughout this whole thing and your inability to acknowledge
anything or take accountability.
I have no sympathy.
So I'm like firmly team Joella and anybody that says she went too hard.
No, she didn't.
She should have gone harder.
She should have pulled out every receipt on a poster board.
I've been like, look, here's everything that your piece of shit husband has done that
you keep defending, which is wildly embarrassing.
Like it was just an embarrassing showing for Rula because it's past the point of like,
I feel bad for you.
I do feel bad.
Brian's awful, but you're being presented with all of this shit, like on a silver platter.
It's right there.
Like look at all the stuff he's done.
And he doesn't even have the balls.
I'll give rule of credit.
You sat there every episode and you took what was coming.
Did you take it well?
No.
Did you have a good defense?
Terrible.
But you stayed and you took it.
Your piece of shit husband that caused all of this doesn't even have the balls to answer any questions.
He leaves you out to try.
and goes with the NDA
And then every time that's debunked
He's like well I can't talk about it because the case was dismissed
So what the case is over dip shit
Of course you could talk about it's not sealed
This isn't like an FBI file
This is some creep in Rhode Island
Doing creepy shit that got dismissed
For tracking his wife
You can talk about that
And then he goes, you're not a lawyer
Neither are you bitch you're a fucking
Yeah
doctor that that feeds on your own supply
And micro doses GLP ones like a fucking
psychopath.
Yeah.
Once he came out with that, came out of the tunnel, if you will, came out with all of that.
I think the two things that I was focusing on the most was obviously going the NDA route
was insane.
Again, we had the same question, why are you even out there?
Like, you're showing up.
Other people are actually somewhat congrite.
Like the other guys there, I don't know.
I kind of got the ick from literally every husband's.
Them talking after they got off the stage.
I was like, oh, yeah.
I got the ick from all of them.
throughout the course of this.
Jared's the least
Icky because he was at least like,
tell her everything.
Tell her everything.
Yeah.
Richie,
you know what?
I'll have a lot of respect for you.
Richie,
shut the fuck up.
Yeah,
standing up there with your wife.
Yeah,
dude.
Like him standing up there talking about that.
The other,
like Jerry is just completely like disengaged.
He has no idea what the hell is going on.
Gary was standing up for his wife the whole time.
And he went over to the other side.
I didn't get the ick from Gary because he was,
he was just standing up for his wife the whole time.
And he went over and he said,
You guys look great.
It's okay.
You got the what?
Ooh.
Oh,
you got the U from Gary.
Even when he was talking about touching his wife's, just boobs.
No, that gave me the ick.
But everything else.
Talking about cranking it.
Like,
we can go down the line.
Every single one of them,
I'm like,
what is going on?
I don't really get this.
But yeah,
when Brian came out with that defense,
I'm like,
all right,
so it's over.
Like,
we're not going to get anywhere.
Like,
yeah,
we're going to have a couple of moments here and there.
But when rule is saying,
you can ask Brian when he comes out.
You can ask Brian when he comes out.
It's like, okay, I will.
Can't actually ask him because he's taking the NDA effect,
the whole route along with that.
So it's just, it was kind of thrown out the window immediately.
Like, yes, we're going to get a couple of moments where Brian's stammering.
We're going to get a couple of moments where Joe Ellen's just simply asking questions,
not even about anything that would be covered under the umbrella of an NDA.
But overall, we're not going to get anywhere with all of this.
They're just going to stand where they are.
They actually said something like, hey, the mistress and I stopped.
We cut all communications in like October.
Right, Rula?
Yeah, sure, Brian.
We stopped in October.
It's like, okay, we're going to get nowhere with that.
Thankfully, Joellen had more.
I thought this was fucking hilarious that she came up with a backup plan to go after when they got married and when he was officially divorced.
Because Rula said 2010, he said 2012, the court documents say 2016.
We never got an actual anniversary date for when Rula and Brian got married, which I would hope.
hope at some point, some Bravo investigator has figured that out.
I just haven't looked on Twitter because I don't want spoilers from all the other shows
that are missing.
So other than that, I mean, like, thank God that was a good backup plan because it gave
us more to talk about.
Otherwise, we would have just gotten the stonewall the whole time and it would have been
incredibly frustrating and Jo Ellen already had rule of fatigue.
So she was kind of done anyway.
Exactly.
And every time she pulled something out, that's what I was saying earlier, where normally
they'd be like, oh, God, we keep going back to the same thing.
It wasn't.
It was new information being presented.
And this is kind of her M.O. all season and credit to Jo Ellen, it's all based in fact.
She has dates.
She has court documents.
Is it weird that she's digging that far up until the reunion?
Yes.
Yeah.
But we're at the reunion right now.
We get bedazzled folders.
We get receipts.
We get crazy, crazy in-depth synopsis of what's going on with the ladies on the stage.
So I have no issue at all with her going.
and finding all of the ammo that she could
because it's all public record
and it's some neighbor that's sending her all this.
I just assume it's the mistress.
She's definitely in contact with the mistress.
Yeah, because she had the actual text messages.
So it's got to be the mistress.
Yeah, without a doubt.
And like that will be fun to uncover maybe next year
and be like, why are you talking to the mistress?
And then we can go down that route
and figure out what her deal is,
why she has a stick up her ass about Rula.
But I do think that most of this could have been squashed
had Rula just cop to it early on.
And as everything's,
breaking down.
That's why I was firmly team Joe Ellen,
because everything that Rula is saying,
like you are simply combating Joe Ellen
because she pisses you off.
It has nothing to do with the information
because if you really listened,
you'd be turning around and going,
Brian,
why does none of the things you tell me make sense?
Why does none of the things that you tell me
add up to documents,
to videos?
Are you AIing the court documents,
Brian?
Are you going into the system and changing court documents?
Because it would be that level of conniving for him to be able to change all of these things.
So at certain point, just look at the mountain of evidence.
Let's say that two of them are false.
That means 12 are true.
And you're still defending the guy.
And I understand like what their stance is.
They're trying to live in the space of I know.
He knows I know.
We're cool now.
I would like to move on.
But it has gone a different direction.
And that's again, Rula and Brian's fault for going after Joellen as the villain in this whole thing.
Because she's not the villain.
She's overinvested for some reason, but she's not the villain.
So every time that you guys try and sidestep something, because it's new information,
I get re annoyed that you guys aren't answering the questions.
And the fact that we went the NDA route and the legal route, we've seen that a zillion
times on Bravo at reunion specifically.
But you can't use that.
And that's why I really appreciated Joellen having all this shit.
Because yeah, sure.
Let's play devil's advocate and say that the NDA was real for some of those things.
It doesn't pertain to all of them because Joellen keeps pulling out different things that
have nothing with each other.
But they're all under the umbrella of, I signed one NDA.
I don't think you know so NDA works.
I signed one.
I can't talk about anything.
Yeah, no, I signed one NDA, so I've effectively signed the rights to answer any questions about my life until it's over.
And dismiss doesn't mean closed.
It just means it's over for now.
They could always bring it back.
I'm like, what the hell is going on?
That's a couple jeopardy, Brian.
Yeah, yeah.
I don't think that that makes any sense, buddy.
You can just try to keep spiraling and try to figure it out all you want.
It's not going to work.
I don't really know what you're trying to do at this point.
But like you said, when Joe Ellen just comes out with more and more and more,
and she's talking about just the relationship that he has with the mistress.
She's talking about the relationship that he had with his ex-wife, with the Spanish teacher,
all of those things, not under the NDA, but he just kept using that excuse.
And he thinks he's like somehow outsmarting people, I guess.
That's the vibe that I was kind of getting, which is infuriating.
And again, I keep going back to that conversation at the end where all the dudes,
are hanging out and Richie goes, yeah, dude, like, I got to give you props.
You showed up for your woman like that can't be comfortable.
It's like, dude, enough.
But then he also says, yeah, guys, you're really like, thank you're, I'm sorry, you're
welcome for everybody here to coming on to my show.
It's like, dude, your wife was on it for two seconds.
Yeah, you were talking about the whole time.
Yeah, no, not at all.
Rule is not why the show was good.
Brian's not why this show is good.
The affair is not.
That was an afterthought that kept coming up throughout the season.
everybody else is why this show was good.
It was good in spite of you two.
All this did was give us a good reunion talking point.
And the only reason it was a good talking point is because another cast member took it upon herself to dig up every single piece of evidence that has ever been in regards to Brian and his fuckery.
Which again, Rula, if there's this much shit that you were able to find it through public record and just a couple of tech.
messages to people and it's stacked like this big and you're still not addressing and i think that's
where joellen got frustrated i wish that we had some other people get involved granted it was tough
to get a word in but i do wish that somebody had jumped in on jo ellen's behalf not even on joelan's
behalf more so to be like hey time out can you respond to any of the shit that she has yeah like she said
it ended in november you're claiming october you didn't know october until brian said october
and then Rula, you were asked the same question.
You go, ah, October, question mark.
So you guys didn't even talk before this either, but just like address something.
One of the things.
Yeah, yeah, and it can't be Andy.
I know that we usually get on Andy's case for a lot of things.
I thought he did fine.
I thought he did fine considering the chaotic nature of everything going on.
But I agree with you.
I think it needed to be one other person, just someone else on the cast where logic can prevail
or somehow a cooler head can prevail.
I don't even want to say cooler head because nobody really got.
got heated except for Rola.
Rola is the one who kept getting heated.
Liz thankfully took a backseat.
What a weird performance from Liz.
I have no fucking clue.
There's reports out now.
Bravo and Cocktails put out a report yesterday that she's definitely not coming back
next year.
Not surprised one Iota was all the stuff going on with Dino.
Yeah,
all the stuff going on Dino.
The way that Jerry responded to the Dino thing,
like,
oh, yeah,
because he's a little bit more famous than we are.
I would understand if we can't talk about that.
But why did no one ask a follow-up question?
Like, oh,
what is going up with Dino?
How do you guys fit into all of this?
They probably know it's something they shouldn't talk about.
For sure.
That actually makes more sense than Brian claiming NDA.
If they said, look, I mean, it's not our thing.
We're not going to get caught up in it.
I don't want to get away.
I would sit there and say, yes, of course, that makes sense.
Like, we're not going to talk about this.
Cool.
Let's move forward.
But yeah, I don't know.
It's just funny to me because it seems, again, I keep saying it must be rule of fatigue.
Like, they've been there for hours and they're just getting nowhere.
And then Brian comes out.
and they're still getting nowhere.
They're actually getting less space to operate now when Brian comes out
because he's talking about NDAs and all that.
It's got to be infuriating.
It's got to be so frustrating that it's like,
okay,
like this is a joke.
Like,
why are we still doing this?
And it's terrible too because again,
I don't know when Rosie and Rula became friends.
I don't know when she became friends with anybody.
She hasn't hung out with anybody on the cast.
She's barely there.
Somebody commented last week and said,
it must have been those after show episodes.
Like the after show episodes,
they spent some time together.
No.
That's not friendship.
having out. And it's funny too.
Because even Kelsey said it at the end when she's talking about her
friendship quote unquote with Rosie.
Like it's really tough to actually make a friendship on the show, which I do think is
true. I agree.
But you can't tell me that anyone else became friends with Rula.
She wasn't there. And like, yes, they agree that she was sick and she was
hurting. And then she even said like, yeah, it was probably stress induced.
Alicia was cracking me up this episode and we'll get to her, Billy.
She's on fire.
All of the stuff going on pre-nup and the 50% and all that stuff.
it makes a lot more sense now that I've heard that whole conversation.
Yeah, it definitely does.
But just to kind of tie a bow on rule it everything so we can stop talking about it, thankfully.
I just don't know.
We've talked about her coming back and what she could do.
I personally, I think she's going to come back.
I think Brian will still be with her.
I still think the timeline in my head makes the most sense of next year is going to be separation.
There's going to be more rumors.
The year after that is when she's going through a divorce.
like she has built in storylines.
She just needs to show the fuck up.
Like actually go and do things and talk about things.
And then I know we're going to get this,
which is going to absolutely kill you.
But she's going to sit down towards the end of next season.
She's going to say,
I can finally start talking about the stuff that happens in the first season.
And you're going to like,
you'll be okay with that.
Oh, I'm worried that you're going to hate that.
I thought you were going to hate that.
Okay.
All right.
We'll be all right.
We'll live.
Yeah.
Well, there's another facet to it that has peaked
my interest and yeah apparently i did ever so slightly ever so slightly apparently
part of their pre-up was and i i haven't seen confirmation this is through the great fine
but i guess it's like 10 years and after that i guess it might be nolan void this is all alleged
i don't know if this is true we heard that i don't know that's california yeah with with their laws i
don't know if it's a state thing. I know we are definitely not lawyers nor do we claim to be.
But if that is true, then it said after 10 years and she's in like year eight. So if she like this could
totally 180. I thought it was nine and a half. Thought it was 10. They don't know. I trust the
grapevine more than I trust those. I'm going to say like eight and a half at this juncture.
But if she's just riding it out to get his money and doing this whole performance so that she's
she can take most of his shit and that comes out in two years,
I will go back to this season and I will give her all of the credit.
But I don't know if that's going to happen.
That's a pretty convoluted plan.
And that's all alleged.
But if that's what we're doing,
I'm okay with that.
And then I'll be able to at least stomach where it's like,
you don't have to get on for everything.
And this is kind of what I had alluded to early in this season,
why it was going to be an issue having her on.
Because no matter what's going on,
she just defends her husband blindly and that's not a fun storyline.
Because I was thinking at the very least when we get into the tracker and then we can move
on to Alicia and Billy.
But with the tracker, it's like that one you can at least be like, yeah, fuck this guy.
I can't believe you did that to me.
And it didn't even happen there.
And then Joellen adds because she adds to every single topic we're talking to or talking
about with evidence.
She's like, yeah, here's a text message.
Brian told the mistress, I'm tracking Rula.
I want to make sure I know where she is or she doesn't come around when we're doing our
thing.
Rule's response was, well, he's trying to keep her at bay while he's trying to fizzle the whole thing out.
Did you hear the sentence you just said?
And you're like, cool?
Like, yeah, I know he was still with her, but he was like tapering off.
You know, he was like slowly using less.
That's what it sounds like.
That's not good.
And like, I need, it's not just by rule of irritation.
Let's talk about it from like housewifery strategy and all that.
I need multifaceted housewives.
I need multiple things.
I need to see you be able to get in the ring with somebody.
I need to see some compassion sometimes.
And I need to see some fire not directed at the same person every time.
Like if we're challenging you on your marriage and we have good evidence and this fucking
weirdo put a tracker in your car to make sure you didn't walk on him in on him with the mistress,
you're allowed to be mad at Brian for that.
That doesn't negate all of the other shit.
It should.
But for you, it doesn't for some weird reason, rule.
But at the very least, like,
In that moment, yell at Brian.
Why is Joelle catching shit for him putting a tracker in your car?
Yeah.
I think the toughest part of all the rule of stuff was confirmation of all the little things that we heard throughout the year,
all of the information that we saw on social media about the tracker,
about what his thing was where he was just trying to show up and make sure that she could stay away from all the stuff while they were filming so that they could fizzle it out.
But in reality, he was still hooking up with her or whatever.
was we got confirmation about pretty much every rumor about Brian and this mistress and
Rula's not really involvement, but involvement.
And what she thought about it.
We didn't get any new information.
And we also didn't get how Rula really feels about it.
So it was icky to get the confirmation and then itkier to see Rula try to help him out
and explain away all of the things that he was doing.
So it was actually worse.
We needed new information.
We needed new feelings on it.
We needed new emotions on it.
And instead, all we got was confirmation.
and the rule of doing the same thing that she did all season,
which was turning a blind eye and supporting him while he's going through it.
And of course,
that was,
this is the last thing about Brian because I'm tired of talking about him.
But when he's like,
you know,
through God,
anything's possible.
Oh,
God damn.
He did that one.
And I'm like,
oh,
boy,
here we go.
And then he said,
this was my favorite one.
You know,
when you,
when you conduct a lot of sins towards one person,
I'm like,
sins.
Oh,
wait,
that line was insane.
That's not how you talk.
Did you have that one written down?
I do, yeah.
I thought it was when you enact sins on the same person over and over again.
I was like, dude, no, I mean, it was along those lines.
It was so bizarre and it was so like he was just passing blame and like minimizing what had happened.
Where did it go?
I know I have.
Can I start?
Yeah, okay.
Yeah.
When he's going through all that, again, none of his explanations really made a ton of sense.
But I think the toughest part for me was just getting.
information about everything and then seeing what his motive was with the woman with keeping her
at bay and then Rola's support of that.
The whole thing was messy.
It was disgusting.
Here it is.
Okay.
Yeah.
I paused and rewound so I could write this down correctly.
All right.
Here's this quote.
He said,
when you go through a lot of ups and downs with somebody,
just because someone makes a series of sins against the other person doesn't mean you
just throw it away.
That's convenient.
for you the sinner to say.
For some reason,
Rula,
it refuses to make you take accountability.
She refuses to acknowledge that you are this slimy piece of shit that you are.
I don't know why I'm hoping and praying so hard that it's because she's waiting the 10 years out so that she can take all of your money.
Like multiple fingers crossed for that one.
But you don't get to dictate the gravity of your sins and what she should and should not do with it.
the fact that you are is sad for Rula,
and I don't know why she's putting up with it.
But to go the route of sins and to bring up the God thing,
and for those of you that listen to our Valley Recaps,
like with the Danny and Nia of it all,
this is my point when I bring up that topic.
I'm not talking about all people that are Christians.
I'm not talking about every single person.
There just is a specific type of hard quote question,
hard quotes,
that hide behind God to do awful things.
And it's always somebody like Brian.
It's always somebody that that does awful shit and then brings up a Bible quote.
Or it's somebody that has a Bible quote in their Instagram bio.
And then they root for awful things to happen to minorities.
Yeah.
The worst, never mind.
Ah, God damn it.
That's going to take me down a different road.
But that's my point.
It's those people that make me say those comments about Christianity.
If you aren't actually like a good person and you follow the Bible, do your thing.
I'm all for it.
I love that for you.
If you're one of those other people, if you're a Brian, you can go fuck yourself in the face with a Bible.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, somehow he was able to encapsulate the NDA thing and also, you know, being a man of God while being a terrible person.
It's always a right.
It's tough.
It's certainly a choice.
It's a look.
But hopefully we don't really.
I mean, we do get at least, you know, close to a year off from talking about Brian.
And there's going to be way more in the news.
I'm sure we're going to see a lot of things in social media that are going to come to surface.
I think this is going to be an offseason heavy show.
Yeah, this is going to be very, very heavily in the off season.
We're already starting, like I said, with Liz reportedly not coming back.
So I am not surprised.
No, not at all.

That's on a lighter note, we got to the bottom of Alicia and Billy, which is good.
Because if you remember we started out the season, we had some information about Billy that
we didn't love.
We're like, ooh, he doesn't want to put her name on the house.
And ooh, he's withholding money.
And ooh, his will, she's not even on it at all.
and Alicia wants to be involved in this stuff.
Alicia wants to know where her finances are.
She wants to know where the money's coming in,
where it's going out, what she has coming in down the road,
all of the things that you should want to know.
Her problem is she doesn't want to sit there and listen
because it's boring.
That's it.
Billy has tried to have weekly financial meetings.
He's tried to explain what trusts are.
He's tried to explain who this.
financial advisor is on behalf of Alicia.
So all of the moms earlier saying like, oh, well, we love Billy and Ashley jumping
and saying, I love Billy.
Now we know why.
Billy's a stand up guy, genuinely.
And he's trying to make sure that everybody's set up for the future that Selena's got money,
that Alicia's got money, that she's got this, that, the other.
She just doesn't have the attention span to sit there and listen.
And then she blames him for not being able to say it shorter.
I know.
I kind of wonder to.
if it's a little deeper too with
with the wedding thing
like maybe she's also bored with wedding planning
like I would not be surprised
if we get to season two and she's like
ah you know now I remember
like eight nine years ago whenever we
first started doing this that I just got so
bored with the wedding planning we should just
I really want to do a big wedding
and I really want to do something
but I just don't really want to do it
and then my family starts talking about
just doing a backyard wedding I don't want to do
that and now I'm back to square one
This is where I am.
Like, I would not be surprised one Iota if Alicia comes around and she's like,
ah, that's exactly what happened.
It's like, okay, that makes more sense too.
But at least we finally got there.
And look, it's for something that could have easily been gross and dirty and we've got
another husband on the show or her fiancee on the show on a housewife show that we have
to despise.
It ends up, it's just Alicia and her attention span.
She just doesn't feel like dealing with it.
But she also doesn't want it to go through somebody else.
So she is protected.
she's going to be fine everything's going to be all right i love when we start talking about her driving
again because it's like ah you know i can go like 20 minutes anywhere 20 minutes i'm completely fine i drive
all the time it's just going to pick her up from dance it's an hour there it's an hour back it's too
much driving i can't do it well what if i incentivized you i don't don't incentivize me don't don't
i don't i don't get you percent 50 percent is by the way a lot i don't want 50 percent i just want a small
It's like Alicia, this is actually kind of nice.
It's kind of funny that he's incentivizing you to go pick up your daughter from dance an hour
away and an hour there and you've got a fear of driving.
And if you do it, you can get up to 50.
He said up to 50%, which I thought was kind of funny.
That means it's sort of like a performance base plan where she can go once a week and
she'll get like 25%.
But if you go twice a week, we'll get you 50% of pizza mamas.
That is so funny to me.
This whole thing took such a funny turn because she doesn't really care that much.
much everybody else is laughing billy's laugh and he's probably looking around like see guys
this is what i've been doing for last eight years this is exactly what's been going on now i
think weekly financial planning meetings is uh a bit boring yeah maybe knock that back to a month
but i do think that if they sit down and start talking about it she's like i'm out of here i can't
i don't want to do this i haven't had any crack is i i got to go i can't i just i'm going to go tip
by the pool just let me know when you're done it's like i'm trying to do it with you yeah yeah
I don't know.
Did you have a chance to look those documents over?
I started, but like, nah, I got really bored.
God, I got really bored.
First sentence.
You didn't tell me it was this boring.
You made me think it was going to be fun and interesting and it's money and I get to do.
You didn't say it was they trusts.
What are we doing?
What's a trust and assets?
I even though that works doing this.
She gets annoyed that he has said, I just wanted to like old school terms, like put my name on the house.
It's like it probably is in the event of something occurring because.
Yeah.
Like you are much further.
via what he's doing.
He has trust.
He has things set up just in case.
He seems like he's very savvy when it comes to money.
And it could be slimy.
It could have been dirty.
We've seen that time and time again on these shows to Billy's credit.
And also a tip of the cap to him for taking all this shit so well.
Like he's laughing.
And like this is probably why they are as good as they are together.
Because he could have been pissed or it's like you painted me as this like,
monster all season that was trying to keep money from you and try to keep the house from you
and try to fuck you over.
Meanwhile,
I've been trying to have weekly financial meetings with you to keep you up to speed.
And we start,
you're like,
oh,
fuck this.
This is boring.
It's just it's abundantly clear now that she didn't even mean to do that.
She was just in her own feels.
And I think that sometimes she thinks on it.
And she goes,
I don't really knows.
You know,
somebody asked me about what's going on financially with me and Billy and the fact that
we're not married yet.
And I just told them like,
I don't really know.
And it's because she's not doing this.
It's because she's not responding to Billy trying to set up these meetings.
It's not because he's keeping her in the dark.
But a normal average person who doesn't know that will probably start asking questions,
be like, well, why?
Like, why don't you know?
And then she genuinely didn't know why she didn't know.
Then she remembers the second that she sits down with Billy and he's like,
all right, here's the finances.
Here's what we're going to do next month.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
No, I'm not.
I'm out of here.
I'm not doing this.
So what something that was presented that could have been incredibly dark and bad is actually just fucking hilarious at the end of the day.
It is just truly mesmerizing and funny.
And she just continues to give us all good moments.
Yeah.
And I think the funniest part is watching Andy figure it out in real time.
Yeah.
Because initially he's like, that's a really nervous laughter, Billy.
It's a really nervous laughter.
What's going on over there?
And then as it goes out, he's like, Alicia, like, no, sign it.
Why would you not sign that?
By the way, we need to get you.
somebody to control he realizes in that moment he then takes upon himself the billy roll he's like
wait wait now that i know what's going on billy you're cool but alicia you're about to be making
way more money than you ever have like you need somebody billy she needs somebody billy you know what
i'm tagging you again take care of her fucking money billy like i'm glad that she again she's going to
have her own finances she's going to hopefully get her own account and all that stuff she's
going to be even more flabbergasted when she's like,
wait, why do I have to get a financial advisor for my own money?
I got to talk to some of my own money.
Yeah, ideally probably you should.
But the best thing to come from all of this,
there's a million housewife businesses out there.
Never have I wanted one to succeed more than her crackers.
I want her crackers to be the number one crack in the world.
And the best part is that the oyster crack is.
And that's what we said.
Well, it would be the number one cracker that she would,
probably represent
we said oyster crackers.
And here you go.
She's working with them.
I'm so happy that all of that came about.
I also thought it was fucking hilarious.
She's like, look, I was a hairstylist.
I used to just do hair.
I don't want to report to Sarah.
I don't want to report.
Who's Sarah?
Oh, she's the office manager.
Oh, that's who she was talking about.
I thought it was somebody else.
Another thing that she kind of gets swept under the rug and say, wait a minute.
Sarah is the office manager that's working with Billy,
that's doing all of these things and probably keeping pizza mama's running and all the other things that go with it and all the merch and things that she was doing she's like well you know i'm getting paid for the merch now so that's kind of nice like how much you get i don't know i don't know it might not even be in production yet we don't know what's going on it is you're good it's okay you don't have to report to sarah you don't have to do anything with sarah we've got this handled all right cool all right cool but i'm not reporting to that bitch not reporting to sarah sarah i thought she was the cashier yeah she doesn't know i
Yeah.
Good.
She's the gift that just keeps on giving.
She's phenomenal.
She is a top 10 housewife and she's only been around.
She might be top five and it's been one season.
So I got to give her all the credit in the world.
But as everything kind of winds down, you know, I think it's important to note just for future
seasons.
One, it does appear that there's going to be some kind of structure to this show.
And I don't know if this is an intentional fourth wall break, but if you pick it.
up on it. Rosie was talking to Rula towards the end. And they reference Joe Allen's shit.
And she's like, oh, yeah, well, that's, you know, that's going to come out. That'll be next year.
Literally is what she said. So, and we said this all along. It wouldn't take much for you to convince me that Joellen's got some skeletons in her closet.
It would take pretty much nothing but a little sliver of evidence. I'd like, okay, that's what they were talking about.
There's been enough allusions to it. There's been enough people on this show that have done similar things.
It appears across the board there has either been an affair rumor, an affair of some sort, or polygamy or polyamory with everybody here.
So it's not surprising to think that Joellen I might have some skeletons in her closet does appear that they're going to go that route next season if that fourth wall break was true.
But I also like that we're able to hopefully clear some things.
I don't need Rula and Joellen to be best friends at all.
if Rula is coming back, I need them to be able to fill them together.
I cannot put up with another Rula at home season where we get three episodes.
Then she's full time at the reunion.
I think that's bullshit.
But the fact that Jo Ellen can say and everyone else says like Rula, by the way,
we all acknowledge, like this is not your fault.
We're not coming at you.
But when you go about defending Brian the way that you are,
you open yourself up to this shit because you're essentially not just calling
Joelle and a liar. You're calling everybody
they're a liar because everyone's got questions
that you're not answering. So that's why you're pissing
off a lot of the cast and it's so easy
to squash it. Just turn around
to your piece of shit husband and go,
yes, he's a fucking dirtbag.
Yes, the timeline is skewed.
And I don't know everything and that's really
bumming me out. I didn't know about the
October thing until he said something.
That's something him and I need to discuss.
But at the end of the day,
I'm trying to move on.
If you'd clarify that you
understand that you don't know everything going on, if you understand that the dates don't make
sense and that Joe Ellen's not a liar is another big one, I think they'd leave you alone.
I think they would be like, all right, that's your grave to dig yourself.
If you want to stay with this guy, we're out.
But because you are implicating other people, you're throwing out affairs at other people with no
evidence.
And you're calling Joelle and a liar.
It's like, you have no ground to stand on.
and it's just kind of embarrassing.
For the show as a whole to move on,
I do need her to either eat shit and just move past this
or go full throttle the other direction
and be that crazy person.
And go after everybody.
That's fine with me.
But you cannot do what you did this season.
That shit didn't work.
No, no.
Second season will,
ultimately it'll have to start with Joe Ellen and Rula chatting.
It will have to start with the two of them,
sitting down, talking about everything,
clearing the air at least between the two of them.
I'm not saying clearing the air with Brian
because I don't think the air will ever be clear with Brian,
but at least clear the air there
because, and we said this episodes and episodes ago,
if you acknowledge that Joe Ellen is correct,
like, all right, yes, I know there's something going on.
I'm trying to figure it out.
He told me it was over.
I don't want any more evidence right now.
So please stop digging while I try to figure this out.
That's the way to go about it because then it puts you in a better position.
Now, obviously, yes, you're still figuring out
if your husband's cheating on you, which he probably was.
You're not figuring it out. He did. He is.
He did. He did. He is.
And whether or not he's still doing it is whatever.
That's up to you. But if Joellen
continues to dig after you say,
I acknowledge what you're saying. I want you to stop digging.
And we still have seen after scene after scene of Joelle
and digging and telling other people, then you can go after her.
Then you can bring up whatever the hell you want because you're not calling her a liar.
She's doing something that you asked her not to do to respect some privacy while you
work through it. If she truly cares about your well-being, she will, at the very least,
stop digging and talking about it on the show. But if it's what you suspect and probably what
most of us suspect, that she just gets a high from this. Like, she really does. I genuinely believe
that Jo Ellen gets a high from looking through and digging through people's lives,
figuring going on with them and then talking to other people about it. But you would already
have that conversation with her, then you have a leg to stand on. Then you can go after Joelle.
Then you can bring up stuff that she's done. You can dig it to her past. You can fight fire with
fire and it won't be unfounded.
It won't be completely out of the realm of thinking like, all right, maybe people will support
this or won't support this.
Right now, we don't support it.
Right now, all of the things that Rula did this season is just completely unsupportive.
We don't know what the hell we expect from her, but we need some sort of consistency at
least.
And we need her to somewhat clear the air a little bit with Joe Allen.
Then the rest of us can move on because the show has a good structure.
The only thing that's kind of funny in my brain down the line, you know, like season eight or
nine when a couple of housewives start dropping out because the typical thing will happen.
You get like a Ponzi scheme or something in season four.
Somebody has to drop out.
Rhode Island's very small.
Are we going to have a big pond to dip in and get more housewives?
Or we just going to drop a housewife every season?
I mean, given what we've gotten out of this crew and nobody being a dud other than Rula,
which again, I do stand by, I think there's a good housewife in there.
I do.
I just don't think she has the chance to show that
because she's so stuck on the Brian stuff.
Yeah.
But I mean, we didn't have one done.
I mean, you could point to Ashley being the least eventful,
but she had a spot and a place on this show that made a lot of sense.
So if we can be batting a thousand after the first season,
I see no reason that we can't find more people like this.
But it is a smaller pool.
We might have to pick,
pick some people out from some other
oh wasn't there going to be one
didn't we hear rumors of like a real housewives
or like Hartford or something
I think that was like up for running
but I think it was with Rhode Island
and they ended up going with Rhode Island
because I think that was supposed to be
because they thought they would get some like
you know I guess sort of
New York Housewives that now live in Connecticut
that moved out
and they're still kind of in that game
I don't know.
I think it's just kind of funny because it's a small state.
And they always talk about how small the pool it is.
So I don't know.
I might have to run with that at some point.
I was just thinking about it because Liz is out.
So most likely anyway.
So keep an eye on.
Something kind of fun.
And the last thing,
and then we'll get to questions.
I'm very much looking forward to.
And you can clock me on this.
The friendship,
the flourishing friendship that we are going to see between Rosie and Kelsey next season.
Yeah, yeah, I agree.
And that's going to create tension with Ashley, and that's going to be fun.
Yeah, I can definitely see that happening.
Now, let's do questions.
First one that had just kind of caught my eye here from It's Holly Hala.
Kelsey is the reunion MVP.
I don't think so.
I don't really think so.
I thought she got flattened.
I didn't think she did a good job at all.
She got flattened in that first episode by Rosie.
She didn't do a whole lot in a second.
I mean, they just kind of react.
iterated things that they had already said.
But.
Joe Ellen, I thought that was like a top tier performance, not just for this show,
but for reunion performances overall.
I thought Joellen crushed this.
Yeah, I don't think so.
Yeah, like this, JK Living Life.
Can Joellen top this season's performance?
Who will she contend with next season?
I don't know.
I think she's going to be on the defensive next season, if we're being honest.
Yeah, she'll be quote unquote, Queen B next year without Liz there.
So I think that other people are going to be going after her and I think it's going to start with like I don't think Ashley's going to get involved right away, but I could see Rosie kind of leading that charge a little bit.
Not sure it's going to work, but you know, start asking some questions.
We'll see what happens.
Yeah, from 77-Kare bear 44.
I'm a thousand percent convinced that Rula knew that her husband was cheating but didn't want to discuss it on TV.
I think it's probably somewhere between that 10-year rule that Steele brought up earlier in the episode and also that.
But I don't know.
And that just makes me feel better because I hate watching the denial, the denial,
the support for a cheating husband.
And then, you know, kind of coming away from the season with that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Agreed.
Blacksmith Trev.
We say that Brian has a humiliation kink.
We started the episode by saying that.
So I love this one.
But at this point, I think Rula has one to.
Yeah.
That's kind of my point with the whole.
thing and the whole season and this reunion performance it's like your husband's the dirt
bag your husband's the piece of shit how you have taken that and turned it into us not rooting
for you too is is very strange like you had a storyline for support built right in not that we
don't support you in like in the realm of like yeah I feel bad for you because your husband's
gross but you you flipped it back on yourself that's not great maybe she does maybe she isn't
maybe that's their thing they just cuck each other yeah could be definitely double cook double cook
uh marissa and palma if you could only keep three of the housewives for next season who are you
keeping i think this is well i guess the third might be a little debatable but obviously alicia
obviously joel and i'm going to throw rosy in there but i could i could hear a case for kelsey or
kind of Ashley.
Yeah, I think if we're going to pick
like the big three there,
I don't think that Ashley's in that mix,
but I think that's because she's a very good supporting cast member.
She was great.
Like I really enjoyed Ashley this season.
She did something that is very hard.
And that's get us to be interested in a restaurant or location on the show.
Like we let off the season by saying this,
Audrey's thing is going to get old.
a hurry, it did.
And that's a credit to her and Jared.
But yeah, I think she is, and every show needs this person.
She is somewhat of our barometer of normalcy where it's like, all right, what is Ashley
saying about this?
Because she's fairly normal.
And I trust her judgment of the situation.
And on a show like this with so many big, big, big personalities, you really need that
anchor in just kind of a normal person.
I think that's Ashley for us.
So top three, no, but very important and best supporter.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah, I agree.
From Fush 78, can we just get rid of all of the lies, insults, and hiding things take away from the show's chemistry?
That is a big piece of this.
And that's what we've talked about a lot.
Not just the not showing up is annoying enough.
That should get you enough to just not be invited back.
but to then show up at a reunion and lie and fake your way through it and then insult on top of it.
That's enough for me personally to not bring her back.
But I would say I put it at like 90% chance that they're at least going to invite her back.
I don't, I don't know.
With Liz, the rumor is, yeah, with Liz, the rumor is that she's doing it under her own choice to leave.
She was not happy.
So I imagine every houseway says that.
Yeah.
I do actually think that with Liz is her choice to leave because she has a way
as soon as I said that I thought so but Lindsay Bucks
how can you refuse to talk about your only storyline and get pissed when it's brought up?
I agree and like that was reminded me of Emmy in Southern Hospitalities like you don't talk about
will it's like you don't dictate what we talk about you're in charge of the reunion any topic
is available to discuss if it's your life if it's on TV we're going to talk about it
rule of you knew what was going to happen on this stage especially after last episode where you
kind of realized like oh are we going to keep doing this and they're like yes it's a reunion they
literally said to you this is a reunion what did you expect so for her i agree to have a negative
reaction every time or it's like oh this again it's like yeah because joelan has a stack of
evidence and every time you bring up anything she knows the date you're talking about and
she has corroborated evidence to show you.
And then you don't even have the AI defense anymore.
You just don't acknowledge.
You're like, uh, why are you so interested?
You're having sex with people too.
We didn't even bring up the fact that rule as parents, was it rule as parents or
Brian's parents?
Brian's parents found underwear because Brian took the mistress there.
The mistress also was a part owner of one of his businesses.
Yeah.
Like it's so in depth.
And that's where the.
frustration comes from because it's like Rula.
Like put put the pieces together.
Again, if this is the 10 year plan and she's just eating shit on TV right now and she flips it,
I will be so impressed.
But as of now, I'm not.
Yeah, we'd have to, if your math is corrected, it's about eight and a half years.
We have a full season, at least another full season of more of this, which is not going to work for me.
But we'll end it on this one just because it made me laugh from show.
Davis just said the Rhode Island is over and OC is going to spit in our mouths.
Tell us it's raining.
Okay.
Thank you for that.
That made it better.
That was good.
You pulled me back in.
You brought up OC.
I was like, why the fuck are we ending it on that?
But then you threw our favorite phrase.
Yeah.
We need to trademark that.
I think we have to.
There we go.
There you go.
Now it's straight.
We're watching YouTube.
I trademarked it.
Good job.
But yeah, that's a wrap on.
the first season of Rhode Island.
It was incredible TV.
These ladies deserve a raise.
They deserve all of the fame and fortune that's coming their way.
I hope that Alicia gets a financial planner in the meantime and understands what a financial planner does, ideally.
She needs it.
But yeah, no notes.
Bring everybody back.
Even Rula, I can see why you'd bring her back.
And I'm not like, I'm whatever about that.
Fine.
Yeah.
Like if we need to.
Okay, fine.
especially if Liz's gone.
But yeah, that's all I got.
You got anything else?
Nope.
Well, that's our show.
Bro.
Bros.
We're out of here.
Hi, we're Meg Bashwinner.
And Joseph Fink.
Of welcome to Night Vale.
And on our new show,
The Best Worst,
we explore the Golden Age of Television.
To do that,
we're watching the IMDB viewer-rated
best and worst episodes
of classic TV shows.
The episode of Star Trek,
where Beverly Crusher has sex with a ghost,
the episode of the X-Files,
where Scully gets
attacked by a vicious housecat. And also the really good episodes, too. What can we learn from
the best and worst of great television? Like, for example, is it really a bad episode or do people
just hate women? The best worst. Available wherever you get your podcasts. There are vampires out
there. They walk among you, shoulder to shoulder in the dark. Heading to work, heading home,
going to the bar. It's a life just like anyone else's. And I have grown used to it. To the darkness,
to the moon to the taste of blood on my tongue.
But vampires are dying out.
We are a fading kind,
and I am the first one created in so long,
and that is a dangerous thing to be.
Those who came before me, elders of all stripes,
they do not want to see our kind gone,
and they will do anything to keep their power.
And for myself, and for grace who created me,
that is a sword that hangs above our heads.
And the worst person of all carries our secret,
and he will use it.
However, he sees fit.
Who do you look to when things are at their darkest?
From the creators of Parkdale Haunt comes Woodbine,
a podcast about monsters, dreams, and changes,
those you want and those you never saw coming.
Season 2 arrives September 24th, distributed by Realm.
