Bros & Shows - Apology Tour Successes and Failures (RHOSLC Full Recap S7E2)

Episode Date: September 24, 2026

What's up bros?? Well we can (maybe) officially through out our concerns for this season as the apology tour may have saved us! It's no secret that we've been thinking this season was going to be the ...most divisive season thus far and that would lead to bad TV but it seems the ladies have a different plan and that's to come back together..for most of them.. Meredith is donning a brand new face but she has not changed her feelings about Whitney and honestly...who cares? As long as Meredith is active it shouldn't matter if she accepts or declines (vehemently). Let's see what this group is capable of! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Starting point is 00:00:00 I don't know how much of it was for real. I don't know if it's going to last, but I will say this. Based on our concerns with Ultimate Girl's Trip, this is kind of exactly what we needed to start this season off to kind of call many nerves I had, you know? Are you talking about Meredith's wig or are you talking about? I have things to say about Meredith.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Meredith is by one. We'll talk about her when we get there. But no, I was not talking about her wig. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Hi, I'm Karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Brov Bros. Good evening, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Brab Bros, your favorite podcast from The Bros for everybody. For whoever wants to listen, I am your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by the one and only. skeder m'geeter skier der skier skier der ski you kill me
Starting point is 00:01:07 operate goots checking in right now um it's so much better i think i've done that before yeah yeah i know that's so much better i used to be much more creative losing my mind there once was a time uh yeah i mean it was it was pretty touch and go there for a little bit with with mary's wig um at first I said, I don't know what's going on with that wig. And then they kept making jokes about it. They're confessional.
Starting point is 00:01:37 I'm like, oh, that's what it is. So most people are speculating online that after the facelift that she had some incision scars or whatever and they need to heal. And a wig is the best way to get around that. So that's probably what's going on. But we did get like what, like 10 to 15 questions last week when we did Salt Lake. Is Meredith wearing a wig? It was confirmed in this episode.
Starting point is 00:01:58 So everybody can be happy with that. The funniest part of that was when we were discussing it, the concern was that something was going on. So we didn't want to talk about it. It was like, is she wearing a wig? It's like, we don't know what the details are. So like, I don't know. It's not touched that one. Now we know, it's a facelift.
Starting point is 00:02:15 And yes, it is in fact a wig. So put that one to bed, which is nice. It's nice to wrap things up early in the season and we can wrap that one up right away. But overall, like the episode, like where we're headed, I like that we even, if this was kind of forced and it was kind of the writing on the wall, especially after Ultimate Girls trip, it's like, all right,
Starting point is 00:02:35 this group has kind of been at each other's throats. It's been escalating. It's been getting to that point, not to Jersey's point, but it's kind of going in that direction where it was like, oh, God, are we going to have two factions that will not talk to each other? Is bad weather going to fuck this whole show up?
Starting point is 00:02:52 What's going on? So to see people start to kind of cross the bridge, kind of come back together, even if only two, of these apologies last i'm cool with it i'm just glad that we were able to like address what our issues have been with this cast in the second episode let's just get it all out there so at least we have a platform to build from yeah i mean i thought this was a pretty fun episode to be honest i mean we obviously we get introduced to quai which i have been love i think she's incredible
Starting point is 00:03:21 i think she's going to fit right in i think she's actually walking into a spot a void in this cast if you will, that maybe they thought like Whitney was going to fulfill for the longest time and she just never has because she just keeps stepping at it over and over and over again. And that's what we continue to see pretty much every year, as Meredith says. But Kauai seems to be that, if Brittany Bateman is the dark side, Kauai is going to be the light side. Like she's going to be able to offer a lot more, but also be quirky. Whereas Brittany offers not a lot is incredibly weird.
Starting point is 00:03:56 And there's a Jared Osman of it all. And she's quirky. So we got a little balance there. So we finally have our balance in there with the quirkiness. So I'm excited about that. But this was, for me anyway, enough to just put to bed all of the concerns so far. Like I can go clean slate now. And obviously last week was kind of in a bottle.
Starting point is 00:04:16 There's a completely different thing going on in that first episode. This is where the season starts when you have to, you know, see what the concerns are. See if things are going to play out the way that you thought they might. I think this is clean slate for me. Yeah. And I'm cool to start. start from there too. I think that it's fair. It makes sense. I am going to give why, look, I thought it was performative, but it's her first time on the show. I don't know
Starting point is 00:04:40 her at all. I didn't hate it by any means. It just came on strong. Not going to jump to any judgments. I'm not even saying I didn't like her. It was just like, okay, maybe you're putting off the camera ever so slightly here, which again, understandable if it's your first time, and if that is her personality, and if that's the role she is doing on this show, the quirky, wacky, fun. bubbly one. Cool. I'm down with it. I'm curious to see because we get a glimpse in scenes from,
Starting point is 00:05:06 I don't know if it was the season or next week. I think it was the season. And she was kind of going back at somebody finally or she was getting emotional. It seemed more authentic than what we got. So I'm curious if there's, I'm assuming there's a lot more to her. And again, let me be very clear. Not say I didn't like her by any means.
Starting point is 00:05:25 And I'm not complaining about anything. I just was wondering if that's really her personality or if she's coming on strong because it's the first time on the show. It's kind of what I'm asking. I mean, I think it is. And I think that even in the little bits and pieces that we got with her interactions with everybody else in the cast, I mean, she's friends with Lisa. She's friends with Meredith. She's friends with Whitney. Doesn't know the rest of the cast.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Those three seem to like her a lot. And she seemed to bring out. I like that she knows them. I like that she knows multiple people. That's actually a very good base. There's no Heather connections. There's no Angie, Bromwin. nothing like that. It's basically both sides of the Salt Lake City coin. I mean, you could have
Starting point is 00:06:03 just interchanged Heather with Whitney at that point, but it doesn't really matter. So there's enough there where I'm okay with that. And she brought enough out from Meredith even in that one little scene where Meredith was smiling and having a good time. So clearly, they're friends. So I like to see that too because we want to get Meredith out of her shell as much as possible. But one little tip bit, figure out what your husband does for work. If you're going to go into a housewife group. That's the last thing that you want. There's two things. And you somehow now both of them. My husband spends 80% of his time in Florida. My husband, what is he done for working? I don't know. Maybe I should ask more questions. And I doubt everyone's going to dig into your
Starting point is 00:06:42 shit. Yeah. Have you seen this group before? I mean, just watch what happens at the dinner table at the end. I mean, they're going to be on you as quick as possible. Yeah. Yep. And if Roney's showing us anything. It's once again, if you're married, you may want to rethink about going on Bravo because it's undefeated in breaking up marriages. It is truly something special to watch.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Yeah. As we're seeing with Roney right now. And as hopefully we don't see with this cast, but signs are pointing to, yeah, you know, Justin and Whitney, I don't think you're going to make it. I think of anything they're holding on for the show, if I had to guess, like,
Starting point is 00:07:21 we'll talk about that. We'll get there. Let's jump it. because we're already pretty much talking about it. Quai and LB, we get to meet Quai. And like I said, my only question was an overperformative. But if we're looking at just the tangibles, right? When you're looking at a housewife, what they bring to a show, we got money.
Starting point is 00:07:41 We got a lot of money. We own a mountain side down with that, building a new house. Where's the money come from? That's going to be the question. Can I wonder if I can just find it out right now. Somebody must have already done this. it because if you can't find it then we now know what the season's going to be about. Yeah, that's like the big thing that we need to figure out here.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Admitted on the show that she does not entirely know what her husband Stephen does for a living other than he works for a company in Florida is what AI says. Which by the way, that's also a really bad sentence. Works for a company in Florida. Florida man owns business. It's not a great headline. No, no, no, it's definitely not. The other thing, there's nothing really in here now.
Starting point is 00:08:21 I'm sure by the time that you're listening to us tomorrow, there will be a full deep dive. Somebody will have done a full article or some sort of blog on him. But I think it's incredibly funny that one of the suggesting questions is, who is the richest husband in Salt Lake City? Brahma Newport's husband, Todd Bradley, is worth $24 million. Okay. That's it. I know. That seems so low.
Starting point is 00:08:45 I mean, that's a lot of money. He's the CEO of Hewlett. Oh, he's this former CEO of HP. Hewlett Packard. Oh shit. Interesting. I think we knew that. I think we knew that and then didn't care anymore once we saw a cat's sweater. More than likely.
Starting point is 00:09:01 But that's interesting. I thought he had like, for some reason, I thought he's in like hundreds. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He gave off that vibe. What a fraud. Anyway, as we've talked about already, Quai is friends with Whitney and they are friends
Starting point is 00:09:17 through the sister-in-law, Sherry. As we know, Sherry, she passed away last year, I believe, and that was a very emotional thing for the show. A lot of the women talked about it. We saw it on screen. So Quai moved closer to help out with her brother and all of the stuff going on with the kids and everything like that. So that's the connection to the cast.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Again, the fact that she has multiple connections, I think is huge, as we're seeing. Again, I'm going to keep referencing other shows because we're in a bit of a transitional period with Bravo. which is good because we're seeing a lot of shows kind of reshape, revamp, we're trying new things, we're bringing on friend groups. So the fact that we're bringing in somebody new with multiple connections, I really like, you already pointed out the fact that she's friends with both sides of the street here.
Starting point is 00:10:02 We got a Whitney friend and an LB friend and a Meredith friend. So like that's kind of perfect because if we had just a Whitney friend, now Whitney's got another teammate. If we had just an LB friend, now she's got another teammate. she's bridging the gap, which excites me. Because I want to bring this, we're going to have shit with this cast always, because that's who they are. But I don't want it to be similar to the last couple of years
Starting point is 00:10:27 where it's kind of the same shit over and over again, the same fights. Yeah, I think in a way, and I don't know if Kaui is necessarily going to do this directly, but I think what it's going to do based on especially what we see in this episode, Lisa is very quick to move on. All she really needs is an apology, something that seems heartfelt. And she moves on. And she even says later, like, you guys say deplorable things about me and what? I just, I move on.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Like, that's what I do. And that is what she does. Like, it's historically correct. So I think Lisa will move on and she'll be able to be in some sort of middle, which I think is perfect for her. It's perfect for the show. And I think it's going to put a spotlight on Heather. I'm sorry, not Heather. It's going to put a spotlight on Meredith.
Starting point is 00:11:09 And Meredith shows up, which so far she's showing up a bit. If she shows up the whole season, that is a very good season. We finally get Meredith to show up. Maybe she just needed the facelift. Maybe she just needed the DJ nights. I don't know what she needed. Maybe she needed Quy for all I know. But either way, if we get Meredith somewhere in a middle storyline where she's beefing with
Starting point is 00:11:28 everybody because she's just refusing to accept Whitney's apology, I'm so good with that. I'm absolutely fine with that. And the good thing about Quy and something that she said in all of this, she didn't just completely plead ignorance on what's going on with Whitney, Meredith. and Lisa, she knows what's going on. She's very well aware of what's going on. She doesn't like it, but she's also not willing to get involved. I'm still friends with both.
Starting point is 00:11:51 I will bring them together. I'll be friends with everybody. I'm good with that. Like, that is a great little spot to be in, especially for a newbie coming in here who knows everybody. You're not picking sides. You're not saying, oh, yeah, well, Whitney said this and I feel bad for her, but I've seen what Lisa does.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Like, I don't want to hear what your opinion is on the whole thing. I'd rather you do the normal thing, which is, I'm, friends with both sides. I know there's animosity, but I'm not adding to it. I'm not going to help out with it. Which is good. We don't want her to jump into a side yet. We want her to, like I said, be that middle ground and hopefully she can bring them together. Like you said, Meredith may never get on board with that, but as long as she is active and shows up and it actually says things, we're moving the right direction. Yep. Well, that takes us to Justin and Whitney. As we know, he has to have been having issues for a very long time.
Starting point is 00:12:42 It kind of came to a head. At least they're telling us it came to a head because Justin took the reins of Wild Rose Beauty. So I'm going to make you rich. I'm going to take this company the next level. Tanked. Company failed and sell everything. There was like massive lawsuits and shit. They had to pay a bunch of people out.
Starting point is 00:13:02 It was a really, really ugly thing. And since then, there's been even more resentment. Do I think that bad issues way before that? I sure do. Do I think that that was just another? thing for them to be mad at each other about? Yes. But if they want to claim this is the nail in the coffin, who am I to say? Now, two things. One, I really don't want to talk about, and unfortunately I'm going to have to talk about. The second one, how much do we care about Justin and Whitney
Starting point is 00:13:31 and this whole thing? The whole lot. I care a lot. I really enjoy these scenes. I think they're very funny. I don't think Justin had any fucking clue what was going on. I think this is all brought up to him in the moment. You see a lot of scenes where clearly it's rehearsed. He comes in with his gym bag. He's like, I'm just, oh,
Starting point is 00:13:52 is this like a closed door activity? He's looking, he's looking strong, by the way. He does. Yeah, no, he looks good.
Starting point is 00:13:57 He's ready to pounce a mass. Um, but he, uh, resident he had no fucking, he had no fucking clue what was going on. I mean, Whitney starts off this conversation talking about the,
Starting point is 00:14:09 not, like, you would think, I don't know. You would think she would talk about, I don't know, Robert Jr., married the service,
Starting point is 00:14:16 something along those lines. No, I've just been really fixated on that drag brunch and the things that I said. And I'm going to have to apologize. Like, okay,
Starting point is 00:14:24 all right, well, this is a stupid scene. I don't really need to see any of this. Also, if you're Justin, why is this a closed door activity? Why am I sitting down for this?
Starting point is 00:14:32 I know you are, I believe. Yeah, it is, but he doesn't know the end of the conversation's coming. She's moving to the guest room. Like,
Starting point is 00:14:40 she has her designer coming in, which is also very confusing. And this is just a Whitney thing. My designer came in and, you know, I have to downsize a lot. It's like, oh, we're really hammering home that you guys are like broke. You guys have lost all of your money, but probably not, but probably maybe. I'm also going to be moving to the guest room. I just feel like we're so disconnected.
Starting point is 00:15:00 He didn't see this shit coming. This is the first time he's hearing any of this. And he is so confused this whole scene. I don't want to say I got enjoyment out of it, but I found it very funny because it is very funny honestly just watching Whitney do her thing and go through this and he all he wants to do is just go to the gym and then he's thanking her it was it was a bizarre conversation i didn't think i was going to really be invested in this because we know ultimately i guess did we even get confirmation that they actually separated yeah it's just a lot of rumors that are probably true she's probably
Starting point is 00:15:32 waiting to do like a big reveal at the reunion or something but she got cucked but at the same time i'm really invested in this and i don't know why I think it is just so ludicrous and bizarre to me and kind of funny. So I think I'm going to be locked in this whole season for them. All right. I can get on board with that. I think he convinced me. Now, the second thing is a trope that we've had a few times now.
Starting point is 00:15:58 And I don't like talking about it. Greg Conover did it. Somebody else did it. Anyway, this alcoholic thing that is coming up. As I will always say in these situations, I don't know the ins and outs, and I will not pass firm judgment on anything as I don't want to be insensitive to what she's going through. That being said, the way in which this is coming up, how she's speaking about it, the lack of any accountability really for what she did until later, which gave me some hope, by the way, but when she says things like, the crowd sees me being me. I see someone in pain.
Starting point is 00:16:39 You got drunk and said some stupid shit. That's what happened. And you got caught because you're on camera. And now you're panicking because you know you're going into the season and they're going to tear you a new one. So to go out this direction and play full victim for now, again, does a better job later, which I was very thankful for because I was like, okay, maybe we don't have to go down this road. But in this moment, I'm like, you've got to be fucking kidding me.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Like this is what we're doing. We're doing it's not your fault. It's alcohol's fault because you went to a drag brunch and got tipsy and said stupid shit about Meredith and Lisa. I don't want to be this guy. I don't want to talk about this. I don't even want to make this assumption. And I'm hoping, again, it's cleaned up later a little bit that this is something that we can just build on and maybe talk about the fact that she needs to change her relationship with alcohol.
Starting point is 00:17:28 And that's it. And you know what? For the sake of my sanity and not having to do this again, I'm going to leave it there and say, I think you should. See how it goes. See how this one goes. Let's see how it plays out.
Starting point is 00:17:41 I really think that this, in terms of Whitney talking about it more, I really hope that it amounts to Meredith, maybe making one or two more comments about how ironic it is that she tried to go after her all last season about her drinking problem or suppose a drinking problem. And now Whitney's claiming that she has an issue with alcohol. That's it.
Starting point is 00:18:02 That should be the end of it, because it is ironic. and it is interesting and it's something to note. And if Whitney wants to somehow shoehorn it in there that maybe she was kind of self-deprecating while going after Meredith last year, which Meredith isn't going to believe, and I don't really believe it either, that's fine. That's it. That's all we really have to do.
Starting point is 00:18:21 And I think in a weird way, do I like Whitney as a housewife? No, not really. But I don't think she's going to play that card a long time. There are other people on that network that will run it out for a long time and try to weasel the way out of it. I don't think Whitney will. I think that she genuinely thinks that she might have like things to address, but I don't think she's going to drag it on in a weird way. So, you know, let's hope and pray. Here's to hope it. You know, here is to hope it. I'm going to leave it there until I am forced to talk about it again. Something has to happen that like I cannot
Starting point is 00:18:53 avoid for me to talk about it again because I don't like doing that at all. So let's get to Bronwyn and Brandon for this, this scene. This was interesting. This was a very interesting seat to watch. So they're going ice skating. By the way, Salt Lake is not for lovers. West Virginia is for lovers and everybody knows that. But anyway, Ohio is actually for lovers. Is Ohio for lovers?
Starting point is 00:19:18 What's West Virginia is for lovers? That's what it says on their, I think it says it on their license plate. But Ohio for lovers is a song by Hawthard Heights, which is very, very good. Cut my wrist and blacked my eyes. Yeah. Oh, yeah, that is a great song.
Starting point is 00:19:32 Okay. Anyway, the state motto of West Virginia is for lovers, I think. Yeah. Now I'm questioning everything. But this relationship, quote unquote, hard quotes. Again, we talked about it last week. You know, we just got back from Cabo. We're spending every week together. He's happy to rack up the month. You're a sugar mama. And that's fine. I don't have an issue with it at all. If this guy's fun and you can afford it and you want to fly. on places and do your thing by all means go nuts i love it throw in todd's face don't act like this is a rom-com in which he swept you off your feet and that you're not doing this in the public eye yeah so that you can rub it in todd's face like come i do just own it i also get no pleasure out of saying what i'm about to say oh boy is todd wrong for not giving a fuck about her 40th birthday when she's gallivanting with a 32 year old model out there in the public.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Were they gallivanting before that? I thought they were galivanting. It had been going on. That's the timeline? Yeah. No. That's a very different situation. I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:20:42 I don't either. We don't have to like him to just, wait, are we sure? Are you positive about that? I'm like 90% sure. Like enough to be like enough to actually be driven on the side of like maybe Todd's not wrong about that. But yeah, I mean, just I'm, I might, I think I'm probably just going to be against Brahmin this season. Like, she's already kind of annoying me.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Interesting start, right? Yeah. And I think she's got a bit, we just did Roaning earlier. I think she's got a bit of the jessel. She like, it went to her head. Now she thinks she's big. She's the setter snowflake. She's everything on the show.
Starting point is 00:21:20 I don't know if I'm really going to care for her. I think she's going to go after LB. I think she's going to do other things. not that I'm saying like I'm a huge least sustained and I don't want you to. I just I think it's tried and annoying and stupid and I think she's going to keep doing it and I don't care for it but this Brandon thing
Starting point is 00:21:35 don't try to legitimize something on TV that is not even remotely close to legitimate I agree with you go ahead be a sugar mama have him fly out but then telling us in your confessional like is he staying at my house
Starting point is 00:21:53 while, you know, in Todd's house while my mom is there and while Gwen is there. Like, no, of course not. I put him. I got him a hotel room. I got him. Yeah. Like, again, stick it to Todd by all means. But you kind of, you see how this looks, right?
Starting point is 00:22:07 Not to be Chris Hanson, but you see how this looks, right? So don't do this to us and don't try to. If this carries on for longer than a couple episodes, I'm going to be annoyed because she's already on watch what happens. I was like, oh, that was six boyfriends go. It's like, I don't like you anymore. Doing that. and if this is going to be all season and you're like,
Starting point is 00:22:24 oh, it's just so nice to be with a 32 year old model who I took the turkey and got hair plugs, then like, I'm going to be annoyed. Oh, yeah, I forgot that that we're thinking that. I like that narrative. They're growing in nicely, though. Yeah, they look great. But I'm with you, like 100%. And to quote my favorite line, don't spit in my mouth and tell me it's raining.
Starting point is 00:22:46 I was avoiding that, yeah. I know you were. I saw you almost do it. And then he sidestepped it. So don't worry, I'm going to hammer at home. But yeah, dude, I'm getting the same vibe. Like it's the way that she's playing,
Starting point is 00:22:56 but it's interesting. I don't hate it because there's been a lot of chatter with the other ladies that Bronwyn is full of shit. We haven't seen enough cracks in the armor to really hammer that one home. Yeah. This might be the crack that we do. I think Heather's still waiting. By the way,
Starting point is 00:23:13 the Heather book is a little closer, still not in frame, but she did move a little bit closer to the frame. Yeah. Yeah. It's on the shelf and a tiny bit closer to the rest of the, books behind me. I thought she had a pretty good episode. I did too. That's all I need. She did. That's all I need. That's all it takes. A couple inches closer to the screen, Heather, you're almost there.
Starting point is 00:23:33 I think Heather's going to go after Brahman. And I think it will be completely righteous. I think that I think it's going to work. And I want to watch it. I mean, that that's going to make for good TV. Like, that's the thing. And that's the thing that I feel people get lost in all the time. I don't care if I like or dislike. If it works for the show, show and I get to see somebody who's been on the show for a long time show up and perform in Heather or Lisa or whoever, Meredith, whoever goes after her. Great. That's what I want to watch. I think I'm here for it. I'm with you. And it's going to be interesting to see how it kind of shakes out and take shape. But I'm with you. The last thing I want to say before we move on to the next scene,
Starting point is 00:24:13 again, I want to reiterate like you are 100% trying to stick at the Todd. And we're all here for it. You don't need to be righteous in this endeavor. Fuck Todd. But he's 32 you're 40 it's eight years she's acting like she plucked like a 21 year old out of college I'm like yeah this isn't all that nuts this whole situation is not all that nuts just like admit what you're doing just be honest because we're not watch it we all see it and by the way we want you to be doing it like the way that we're saying I want you to be flying around this hot 32 year old
Starting point is 00:24:45 just to fuck with your ex-husband like that's great you get a full season to do that if you just plus that's what you're doing, that's awesome. And I'll be back on your side. Next season or the season after, whatever it is, whenever your divorce finally goes through, you actually start dating. Show us that you're actually dating. That's all I ask. It's a pretty simple. Yeah, it's actually pretty easy. It's easier than what you're trying to do as as as of now. But let's get to Heather and Brittany, Brittany Bateman, glad she's still here. I honestly forgot about her last week. So I'm I'm still around because I think that she's just delightful on TV.
Starting point is 00:25:20 I think she's such a fucking weirdo in the most entertaining way. I don't believe for two seconds that she's six weeks, no men. Not that she's like out there banging everybody, but you cannot convince me that Jared Osman has not been over to that house within the past five days. I'm with Heather. When she said that, I was like, oh, damn it, that was a good one. Like she had a few of this episode where I was like, huh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:43 You got me on that one. If you lead close enough, you could spell Jerry on her neck. I'm like, yeah. We still haven't forgotten about Ultimate Girl's trip. You somehow hijacked a show that you weren't really on. So just embarrass that. Okay. All right, we're good.
Starting point is 00:25:56 But they're talking about, obviously they recap the time over at Marys and how she's doing. She said she's incredibly strong. I can't believe Brandon went to the funeral. Like, that's kind of crazy, no? Yeah. Like, what are we doing here? I, the way Brombo was talking about it last week, I just figured Muzzy was going or Gwen. Like, Brandon's wild.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Brandon? Brandon? Him? That's crazy. I don't know. Like, I, I, I want to say it's disrespectful, but like, it feels disrespectful. It feels like it's just kind of, I don't know what the word is. It's wrong.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Yes, that's easy. It's wrong. Yeah. In a way, it's wrong. And I don't, I mean, not to make. about myself, but it feels disrespectful to me. Like hearing it. I was like, oh, God. It seems incredibly short-sighted and selfish and weirdly playing further into this narrative
Starting point is 00:26:56 that, you know, you're trying to force this thing upon people to, I don't know, you're trying to legitimize it. I don't know if it's like to make it a bigger thing. I don't know, but Bronwyn- It's short-sighted. That's what you see. Short-sighted is the correct word. Again, like, she's openly mocking this for,
Starting point is 00:27:14 relationship out on watch what happens live so like and you took him to the funeral to the funeral that we are now starting this season with and it's a very heavy moment we find out that and you fast forward to watch happens live and you're like oh that was six boyfriends like like what it's it's it is disrespectful i'm going back to that and that's where it gets confusing because Bronwyn there's a lot of things she's not dumb you know she seems to have like a good sense and like good social awareness so like yeah i don't no, man. I was shocked when they said that. Like, that's crazy. So I'm on their side. Like, that's pretty fucking nuts. And then they start talking about the details, the Brandon Broadman details. Like, all right, is this legit? She claims that something leaked. And she had
Starting point is 00:27:59 to get ahead of it. So they did a press release. Here's the thing. I'm not saying that some of these things that she's putting out there aren't like a semblance of truth. But that's my point. I feel like everything she says is like 40% of it. Like it's not why quasi true. It's like there's truth in there. But she's not telling the whole story. Like there's more to pretty much everything when it comes to Bronwyn. And we started we, I think we talked about this a lot last year where it was like, all right, it's like trying to figure her out and like figure out how genuine she was. But I was still fairly convinced that like, yeah, what you see is what you get for the most part.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Towards the end of the season, the more of the ladies are talking, I'm like, yeah, I can see that. I can see that. Starting this season off, I'm like, I think she's full of shit,
Starting point is 00:28:50 honestly. Yeah. I think you said it best, like she does have a good head on her shoulder. She has a good social awareness, but I think she's too socially aware. If that makes any sense. Like there is a barometer in there where you can't have good social awareness
Starting point is 00:29:06 and not do stupid shit that's going to piss people off. And like, that's where you kind of want to be. Hers is a little. higher where she thinks all of these things through. Yeah, it's hubris in like a public setting of, oh, yeah, all right. Well, and by the way, even fucking going back to the ice skating. It's like I got the Brahma Newport experience when I was out of the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:29:28 People wanted to take pictures with me to find out what's going on with me. I'm sorry. I don't think people fucking care about who Bronwyn's dating. Like, yes, you might point and be like, oh, that's Brahman from Salt Lake City. That's cool. That's what they want. Oh, my God. That's the guy.
Starting point is 00:29:41 They're taking pictures. of you from afar to send to TMZ to send to the Bravo bloggers so that they can put it out there they're not taking pictures with you they're not like oh my god take picture with me like hey buddy it probably took pictures with Bronwyn with Bronwyn and he separate entirely from Brandon behind the camera taking the picture of them like hey buddy if he was in a picture it wasn't because they wanted a picture of Bronwyn man they wanted a picture of Bronwyn the real housewife yeah so the press release because you got caught and people were taking pictures of you It was weird.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Nobody fucking cares about this guy. Like, yeah, again, like, we know that you and Todd were separated or I guess the public didn't. But it just seems so calculated. And I think that's the best way to put her is that everything she does, who she goes after, what she's doing is very calculated. And it gives credence to a lot of people's theories that she's just chronically online, reading every fan, everything that they're doing and what they want to do and what they want to see. The problem is, I would imagine a lot of the fans are kind of tired.
Starting point is 00:30:42 people going after leases she just can't get out from under that so that might be here on doing at some point and the press release was about her and brandon it wasn't the separation i know i was already announced so in my mind why the press release who fucking cares that makes it worse because if not it's a picture of you and here's the headline broadwin newport spotted with mystery man then people dig and go oh that's this model named brandon sure period no one's asking any more questions no one cares we're like yeah, fuck Todd. She's banging a hot model. Great.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Everybody wins. That's the end of it. But because she did the press release, now we're asking questions. And now she's doing this bullshit rom-com set up. It's like, I know. We're seeing through you.
Starting point is 00:31:24 It's the second episode. It's realistically the first episode of the season because episode one was, was that beautiful tribute to Robert. This is where like the season's starting. So yeah, no. You know what? The more we thought, the more I'm leaning heavy into the she's full of shit side.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Yeah, I think she's full ship. Yeah, interesting. Very interesting. Let's take a quick little ad break here, and we'll get right back to the rest of the Housewife action. Starting point is 00:35:54 Steve Kuhyn and Nan McNamara's podcast from Beneath the Hollywood Sign. He pulls out a box and gives McAllister a ring saying, here's something to remember me by. Daryl Zannick hit the roof. Mary Astor has been keeping a diary. This torrid affair with George S. Kaufman is chronicled on a daily basis. Talking about the actors and actresses who won an Oscar on their very first film. Get your fix of old Hollywood on the podcast from Beneath the Hollywood Sign. But the other thing that happens here, and this was huge, and I was very surprised, but, like, extraordinarily happy.
Starting point is 00:36:31 And I was, like, honestly, you should have texted like, hey, move the book closer. because Heather goes, I need to apologize to LD. I don't want to be in her crosshairs. The way she said it to, because she just brought it up and like, yeah, I need to talk to Lisa,
Starting point is 00:36:45 but yeah, you do. But that's going to go like shit. But she says, I felt like a piece of shit. I fucked up on Ultimate Girl's trip. And I hope she forgives me. I was like,
Starting point is 00:36:55 ah, concession? Yeah. Has thou seen the lights? Even if it's fake, at least she's reading the writing on the wall and going, people don't want to see me go after least. Barlow anymore. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:06 And look, I'm okay with that. We just talked about Bronwyn, potentially reading people and their theories and all the things that go along with Salt Lake City. I'm okay if this is what Heather wants to do. Like, it's been enough. We've done it for two years now. You've been trying to orchestrate a Lisa Barlow take down. It doesn't work.
Starting point is 00:37:22 It's not entertaining to watch. So if this is how you're going to pivot, this is how you're going to pivot. And I'm completely cool with that. And if you know, and look, Heather knows Lisa, you're going to have to take full accountability. and she'll accept it. She'll be fine at the end of the day as long as you keep moving forward
Starting point is 00:37:37 and you don't bring things back up. But she'll be fine at the end of the day. She accepts apologies very quickly and you know that if you're Heather. So if that's your plan and that's how you get back to some sort of level ground with her, absolutely do it.
Starting point is 00:37:48 I liked it. I was surprised. I was probably just as surprised as you were when I heard this. I think it also helps that she hears that Whitney's also going out and apologizing to everybody. And she's like,
Starting point is 00:37:57 well, I can let her lead the way, soften her up a little bit. And then I could just... Talked about it and this was the plan. yell from across the bus and just apologize to her that way. That's the best way to do it. It worked out perfectly for Heather if you're Heather. So I liked it.
Starting point is 00:38:11 I'm happy to see it because I do want to see Heather move in that right direction because I think the show, whether we like it or not, I mean, it's been like that for three seasons now. The show kind of goes depending on how Heather is going to be. If she's going to be what she was in the first two seasons, that's good. We can do that. We can allow other people to open up. But what we've seen recently from her is her trying to produce
Starting point is 00:38:32 and her trying to pull the strings behind the scenes. It just doesn't work and it's bad. And it ends up with like a rough product. Even with a good cast, you're still going to get a rough product. The cast saved the show because of the bullshit Heather was doing. It's just because we like these women so much that it didn't fall flat in its face. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:49 So if she just moves out of the way and just goes back to being herself and just lives her life and enjoys it, that's good. We'll be able to move forward with them. 100%. 100%. Because I think it's been so long or seemingly. so long just because we haven't seen this version of her in a while. O.G. Heather, like season one, season two, fucking rocked.
Starting point is 00:39:10 She was awesome. And in season three, we saw a shift. And then the last few is, like, who the hell is this? And like, you said it perfectly. She's trying to orchestrate, overproduce, try, she's trying to be the center of attention. I think maybe she read the comments. Maybe she's listening. Jen Shaw, before she went to prison, when she punched her the eye, she punched her with like a brainworm, like the RFK brainworm. And it started doing things that Jen Shaw wanted to do. And now the Jen Shaw's out of prison.
Starting point is 00:39:39 She's just relinquished control of the brainworm. And Heather can go back to normal. I like that. I like the RFK theory. That's kind of funny. And yeah, clearly that thing fucks people up. But the other potential jail yard rules, Jen Shaw's initiation, punch you in the face.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Now you're in. Now you take on my role because I'm going to, jail. So it's initiation. It was prison yard rules and she popped her. Do you think anybody's hanging out with Jen Shaw now that she's out? Yeah, what's her face? Elizabeth Holmes. Well, she's still in there.
Starting point is 00:40:16 Which sucks because she's not going to be able to go to her own movie premiere next week. Did you see? I can't wait to see that Nathan Fielder thing. Oh, it looks so good. The trailer that they released today was incredible. Yeah, I mean, I could see Heather hanging out with her. I could see, you think Monica hangs out with her though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:33 Wow. Yeah. I bet you Monica was like the first. Monica probably picked her up from prison. Her and coach. Oh, coach. I was thinking coached the company. Coach Shaw, right?
Starting point is 00:40:45 I still love the fact that she's like posting. And let me get this very clear. I don't want her back at all. No. Wait, Jen or? Jen Shaw. Monica, you could probably talk me into, but Jen, I know you would. Jen, absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:41:01 I just think it's funny that she is like reposting and tweeting and all the stuff about Utah football. Oh, I know. Yeah. No way that Utah's like, hell yeah. Hell yeah. Jen Shaw, like felon is tweeting us again. Great.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Number one fan. Monica on, she was on the weakest link with Tom Sandval and Christine Quinn, who seems to be on fucking every one of those spin-off shows. But she's still doing things out there. Pleasing the people. That's what she does past. Let's get to the ski trip.
Starting point is 00:41:35 We go to Brighton Mountain, I guess, but we got the whole crew here. And, you know, Meredith sets the tone. I was coming into this season, like, a little wary of the Meredith situation because I've talked about it for years. And I haven't always gotten a lot of support with it. But I feel like she's been coasting. I feel like if you look at what she has actually contributed to the show, she gets by on just simply being Meredith Marks. and I do understand that. Like, I do get the draw.
Starting point is 00:42:03 I understand that she's entertaining when she doesn't do anything. Just her, like, demeanor is entertaining for some reason. She has that it factor. But I don't feel like she's brought a whole lot to the show. So I came into the season, like, oh, boy. So I agree with you towards the end when she's kind of jumping in a little bit more. I'm like, okay, like, I can fuck with that. I just want her, even if she argues with people, like, I just want her involved in things.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Yeah. But she sets the tone here with like, yeah, I'll be cordial. And she does like the, I don't know what the quarterback is. That'll joke. But then Quye pulls up. And this leads further into our Bronwyn theory. Because we could also remember Bronwyn hasn't necessarily been like a quote unquote mean girl. Like she doesn't really go take random shots in the confession unless she's in a beef with somebody.
Starting point is 00:42:56 We haven't seen her take a random shot. Yeah. Quai pulls up. You know, she's dressed to the nines. I thought she looked great. Yep. And Bromwin goes to confessioner goes, Quy rhymes with why and why are we wearing this?
Starting point is 00:43:09 And I hated it. I hated it a lot. I didn't get it. I, the thing with Bromwin, she's the, I'm very well documented. Everybody knows it.
Starting point is 00:43:22 She thinks because she buys really cool, or not cool, very interesting. looking expensive pieces from cool designers that she dress as well. She looks fucking ridiculous half the time. I mean,
Starting point is 00:43:37 I get enjoyment out of it. I think it's funny and it looks outlandish. But she looks fucking stupid half the time. You don't get to get off and talking about why. You don't know why. Todd,
Starting point is 00:43:49 your cheating husband in costume. Yeah. Which like quirky, whatever, I don't really care. And if she did it all the time, like that's just who she is. I'm chalking that up to her personality. But it's not like she has good taste.
Starting point is 00:44:00 I mean, I've seen your house. Like you bought the weirdest fucking furniture in the world and left dog poop everywhere. You are in no world a way to look at Kauai and be like, why are you wearing that? Why are you doing that? Don't be that person. Don't be that person. Live and let live. You don't want her turning around and making fun of your outfits.
Starting point is 00:44:18 And all you can say back is this is a one of one, $50,000 from Valentino. Like, no one fucking cares. I mean, like, yeah, cool that you can buy it with, you know, Todd's money. otherwise I don't give a shit you look stupid yep and that's like I said I was kind of the first time we've seen her take a random dig for zero like she wasn't at all provoked and it's just like okay shot the newbie both her and Angie did it at some point you did it too so like and it's more to me again we look into these confessionals because there are a couple weeks later like I assume that they butt heads at some point and I don't know where that's going to go if something happens and they
Starting point is 00:44:56 butt heads and it's like, okay, then I'll take that back. But if she's just taking a random shop before she even knows the girl, that's weird. Agreed. Now, L.B. gives me hope because, and this is what she does. And credit to her because she has to kind of not bend the knee, but just accept apologies year after year. And here she says again, you know, I invited everybody and like for the sake of the group, I don't want to stay in this divisive place with people.
Starting point is 00:45:23 I do want to move on. That's why she's great because she's great. because she will move on. She will pop off again, but she will move on for the time being. And that's when we learned that Meredith had the facelift. I mean, we've known that,
Starting point is 00:45:33 but that's when Whitney talks about it. And then, and I'm wondering if this is going to be a sticking point because she's like, I love that she told her she got one. I think it's bad as too, that she got something done and she's talking about it, rather than,
Starting point is 00:45:45 you know, hiding it. Yeah, could doze to her for that. But when she drops, and she's wearing a wig, it's like, well, she hasn't told anybody that yet. And Whitney's like, oh, oh. And I won't.
Starting point is 00:45:55 wonder if that's going to be a thing. I kind of hope not, but that did enter my mind ever so briefly. But the whole point of the scene pretty much is setting up this idea that some truces are going to be made. We're going to mend some fences and Bronman says as much, Heather says as much, Lisa. So everybody that needs to kind of either make a concession or apologize has seemingly said like, I'm going to do that. The only holdout we have is Meredith. And I don't know how that's going to go. And I guess my question for you, if she's activated, do we care if it's good or bad or different as long as she's involved? I think because she's going to be activated, an activated Meredith is always good for me.
Starting point is 00:46:41 I feel like it hits 10 out of 10 times. So it's tough for me to say one way or another. But yeah, to answer your question, yes, just get her activated because we have not seen a lot of energy from Meredith over the last three seasons. seasons, I want to see some more. I want to see some action to get into it. And I like the way that this is going. It's going exactly how you would expect it to go based on the conversations that led up to this. But I like the way it's going because it just clears everything out and allows Meredith to operate within her own and be herself. And then she can say whatever the fuck she wants. And I think she's gotten to that point because she's also gained the respect from the audience to
Starting point is 00:47:15 be able to do those things and people want that and I. But also it gets her activated. And that's what I want the most. Yep. As long as she's in place. I'm cool. I don't care what it looks like. I just want her involved. Yep. But we get to the mountain. We're skiing,
Starting point is 00:47:29 uh, kind of some people are skiing. Angie and LB go up the mountain. Angie eats it going up the lift. We get to the top of the mountain. They decide, fuck this. We're going back to the lodge,
Starting point is 00:47:41 which I thought was very funny. Very funny. This was just like, again, over analyzing, but that's what we do here. This is promising to me. Because you have the whole group there,
Starting point is 00:47:52 the whole cast, thank God, we have everybody together. And we're having a good time. Like every time the entire cast got together last year and the year prior, it was a fight immediately. And like if it wasn't a fight, it was snide comments in the beginning of an event. And by the 10th minute of whatever event it was, it was a full blow and fuck you,
Starting point is 00:48:12 fuck you, everyone's yelling at each other. So it's just that we're having fun and we're checking in with different groups. You got Kwai and Meredith Marks at the lodge. They're cutting it up. You got people on the mountain. You got Angie and LB going back down the lift. It's just like a normal group.
Starting point is 00:48:27 I'm like, yes. It also gives me so much hope because I really want Angie and LB to be friends again. I've wanted it for a couple seasons now. Just get back to it. Like I want that very much because I do think, again, it just opens up so many more opportunities. And it leads us away from where we've been for the last two seasons where everything's just so divisive. and there's so many teams out there and people are at each other's next, we need to start off with everybody back in a good place.
Starting point is 00:48:56 And I think we're kind-ish there right now. Yeah, there's not fire or two, but we're close enough for me. We're about as close as we're ever going to get with this group. That's good enough for me. But I just want Angie and LB to be friends again because I don't think that we ever really got their full potential. If we have those two, Meredith mixed in there, Kwai being able to do that, like that looks good to me. And I think that the friendship you have,
Starting point is 00:49:18 with Meredith and Lisa. Yes, they're very close, but I think that's almost circumstance, like they were close friends and they fell apart and they came back together. I feel like Angie and LB, like that was like genuine. I feel like they were friends.
Starting point is 00:49:35 And I kind of want to see that back on the show. I've wanted them to be friends since they stopped being friends, honestly. Yeah, that's a dynamic duo. But speaking to Kui and Meredith Marks, they are talking at the lodge. They met at Sundan. They party, did some caviar bumps, Meredith Mark's caviar, no doubt.
Starting point is 00:49:53 But we bring up the Whitney stuff. And Meredith's stances, she, which is ironic in my mind, she does it over the years, year after year, and accuses me of having a drinking problem, which is fair. If she's going to go now and say that she has a problem, then yeah, that's projection. But, and this will lead us, like, I guess we've got to do Whitney and LB first, so I'll separate them. But, yeah, Meredith's stance is, same old song and dance.
Starting point is 00:50:22 We do this every year. I'm not doing this shit again. They come at me for literally everything except for murder. Setting the stage for our conversation. At the end, not yet, because L.B. and Whitney,
Starting point is 00:50:37 Whitney's still on the apology tour, pulls L.B. to the side. Hey, just waiting to apologize. The truth is, I have unresolved stuff with Meredith, and I'm sorry that you caught a stray. I was coping with alcohol.
Starting point is 00:50:50 Didn't say anything. She said in that moment she coped with alcohol. No issues. However, L.B. Her loyalties laid dick. So she is going to give her another chance. Pretty much what ends up happening to see is LB agrees to move forward. She's keeping her in arms length,
Starting point is 00:51:06 hoping that it goes the right way, but hesitant and not optimistic. Yeah. I mean, look, I like the way that LB approaches a lot of these things because she's so quick to move on. Yes, it's a detriment to her sometimes. But I think in this regard, especially early in the season, go for it. Just open the door back up.
Starting point is 00:51:24 You say you love Whitney. You've got this weird thing with Whitney. She's also wearing the C word as a badge of honor, which I really appreciate. Like, why not? Just keep talking about it. And like, she genuinely enjoys it. She's like, you know what? I am.
Starting point is 00:51:37 You're right. I am. Oh, you saw that. I love Whitney's response to that too. Oh, you did see that. Yeah, I'm fucking solid. Of course I fucking saw it. Come on now.
Starting point is 00:51:44 LB is chronically online. Of course she saw that, probably the minute it happened. But I like that approach because, like you said, Whitney, it's a heartfelt apology. She doesn't really use the crutch of, you know, I've been struggling really hard with all of these things going on. And I've been leaning on alcohol for so long. And it's just really deteriorating everything. She didn't play the thing. I feel like it's bleeding.
Starting point is 00:52:08 She did not. She took ownership. She used and talked about alcohol as some sort of adjutant. on top of it. Otherwise, that was pretty much it. So that's a good approach. I'm clean.
Starting point is 00:52:20 I'm good with that. We can move on and we can move forward. The one thing I really agreed with LB on, though, and I wish Whitney took it a little bit better because it's so on the nose. Oh, yeah. You hold yourself, or don't hold me to a bar that you don't have for yourself. You hold yourself to a different standard.
Starting point is 00:52:38 I don't see it that way, but I see where you're coming from, and I beat myself up where throes. I beat myself up more than anyone else does. It's like, well, no, you don't. But okay, yeah, fine. You don't. And also, that's not really what the point of that was.
Starting point is 00:52:54 You do hold yourself to a different standard because the things that you get on other people about are things that you do as well. And then you play the victim and go on a healing journey and don't address anything. So I 100% agree with LB there. But seems squashed. Seems like we're moving forward. Again, it's really all I need. Don't need much more than that in a good place.
Starting point is 00:53:12 So we get back on the bus. apology trains already started up. Heather, why don't you jump on board? Hey, L.B. I feel really terrible about everything on Ultimate Girl's Trip. I never want to fight like that again, especially in public, but she takes it a step further.
Starting point is 00:53:29 And I really appreciated this because when you think about it, she's not wrong. I feel like I broke some kind of code, some unspoken code. You did. You turned on your own franchise in front of all the other franchises.
Starting point is 00:53:40 How dare you? You let it spill over into a different show around different people just because the reunion aired a couple of days ago and you felt like you needed to get your licks in because Lisa must be out there on the show that I wasn't invited to be on talking bad about me. So I'm going to go in there and I'm going to undermine her and we're going to all do the same thing. That's what the whole cast did. Now, I would like it if other people may be tagged along with that. Like, hey, yeah, you know, we kind of fucked up and we did that and
Starting point is 00:54:10 whatever and we talked about you. Whitney, you probably should have added that end to your apology, you didn't. That's okay. But Heather doing this gives me a lot of hope. And I like the way she did it because this is honestly in a way it's more authentic than Whitney's apology. She didn't pull her aside. She didn't make a big deal about it. Yes, she did it in front of the whole group. But she did it in a bus from the back of the bus to the front of the bus. Lisa turned completely around to watch her and look her right in the eye. And I love that Lisa make sure that she hears every last word. And when she says, I feel like we who, who? Who? I feel like we. I feel. like I broke a code. Okay, there you go. Now we're good. That's okay. I appreciate it. Heather.
Starting point is 00:54:50 Let's go on. Let's do this thing. Loved it. Absolutely loved it. It was everything. It was like I couldn't have written it better. If what I wanted Heather to say this season to like squash this, I couldn't have written better.
Starting point is 00:55:02 It was perfect. So they're moving on as well. Double squash. L.B. and Heather. Good to go. L.B. and Whitney arm's length,
Starting point is 00:55:09 but good to go. Let's get to dinner. And vibes are high. and I'm loving. I love the high vibes. At Bray Ski, we're having a little dinner afterwards. Lisa's face is everywhere. Good.
Starting point is 00:55:22 Everywhere. Good. That's how it should be. That is so authentic, Lisa, I need more. Exactly. It's like, it's the Heather Dubro initials. Lisa's face on everything as well. And Vita Tequila, even though nobody's seen it in the wild, but that's okay.
Starting point is 00:55:37 I'm not here to say anything about that. Look, Kwai said that she was one of the first to try Vita Tequila. didn't tell me how it tasted. You need to know more. Oh, yeah, it's a good point. We really don't know. No one's ever taught. Even people in our messages and comments, they don't know.
Starting point is 00:55:51 No, we only ever get on the show or other shows that are adjacent to this. We only ever get that either they can't get it or then they're mad at Lisa, so they talk bad about the tequila. But we don't get an honest opinion. I need an honest opinion. Agreed. Now, Whitney, I think this is a combination of two things. I think she's riding high right now because she's like, fuck yeah,
Starting point is 00:56:16 knocked out Lisa. Now I'm going to go get Meredith and just jump the gun a little bit. But I also think, maybe it's three things. I think she knows that Meredith probably wouldn't have gone to talk to her. And third, and the biggest one, I think she's scared of Meredith,
Starting point is 00:56:29 which is why she did this at the table in the way that she did because she's like, Meredith, I said horrible things on stage and I'm really sorry for my behavior. So sorry to both of you, especially Meredith. I lost control and went off. hate everything I said.
Starting point is 00:56:42 I'm sorry. We don't have to accept it. But from here, can we move forward? Yeah, it's not going to happen. No fucking chance. Go fuck yourself. Like, that's so good, though. Like, if they did it, and I think because we got through this whole episode and every
Starting point is 00:57:01 apology was going pretty well, I needed one to go completely left. And of course, it's going to be Meredith to do that. And I agree with Meredith. Whitney does do this every year. even Lisa said that she does this every year. She does some shit either throughout the end of the season or at the reunion or in the off season. She puts her foot in her mouth. She says mean things about someone insinuates something wrong about a marriage or whatever she does.
Starting point is 00:57:23 And then she starts off the next season, apologizing, trying to get back to a good place. Meredith doesn't want to do it anymore. I agree. Go ahead, Meredith. It's interesting, though, like as it kind of breaks down further, because it's almost like, borderline patronizing from Whitney because she's trying to like talk slowly and emphasize as though it's going to change that. She's like, I'm big enough to put myself in your shoes and I get where you're saying it from. And I own that. Except my apologies. She's like, that's what pretty much.
Starting point is 00:58:00 Why are you not accepting this? What else can I say? If I say it slowly, will she accept it? She's pretty much like begging her to accept her apology. Like please, please, Meredith. just understand what I'm saying like I I feel you do you fill me you fill me no no one's feeling anyone get the fuck out of my face is what merit to say so I'm fine and this is and it just the way it plays out is very interesting because you see obviously everybody at the table starts to get involved and we'll save you know the bromwin interjection to go after Lisa for whatever fucking reason Lisa even says I feel like yeah it's heartfelt she really means that she is she She's trying to apologize.
Starting point is 00:58:40 I trust that that's how she feels, but whatever. Bronlin's trying to coach Whitney into the whole thing. She doesn't have to accept your apology, but you still got it off your chest. That's okay. Then you kind of flip around, and then it gets back to Heather, who decides to mediate.
Starting point is 00:58:55 And I'm okay with this. This is the version of Heather that I'm cool with, because she's able to do it in a way of, I've kind of got Whitney's back, but I'm also just mediating and trying to get this to the place that it needs to go so we can all get back to it. we all had a lot of things going on over the last couple of weeks. After Robert Jr.'s thing, we kind of came together.
Starting point is 00:59:16 Everybody's kind of putting everything away. Angie says, you know, everybody's putting their swords down. And then there's Meredith. It's like, no, I get it. You want everybody to be copaesthetic. You want things to matter now. But if Meredith doesn't want to accept her apology, she's not going to fucking accept her apology.
Starting point is 00:59:29 But Heather, the way she stepped in, this is Heather of old. She's not really just like batting down Meredith for not accepting the apology. She's just trying to put it into some perspective. but also being a little contentious. And that's where I want her to be. Mildly contentious and middle of the road for the most part. Because her goal here is not to take down. Her goal is to help this conversation and move it forward, which is the Heather that we like.
Starting point is 00:59:53 It's the Heather that helps this show. It's the good Heather. It's the Heather we want back for God's sake. But, you know, again, good, bad, ugly. I don't care. As long as she's activated and involved, Meredith can go whatever way she wants with this. It's just hilarious to me. It's like, I think that she thinks that she's never done anything. Like, I genuinely think she's like, I've never said anything about anybody because she
Starting point is 01:00:20 speaks in code and goes around people's backs and is like sneaky about shit. And then the second we're about to press her, it happened like three seasons in a row. She was in the hot seat. People are like, wait, is Meredith up to something? And then Monica Garcia happens or some other shit happens and we don't press her and she skates off into the sunset unscathed she's done it multiple times it's masterful honestly but i do think it's made her complacent i think that's what we've seen the last couple of years she's like i this is easy i don't do anything she's gonna stand here and be meredith marks and yeah and on by and she says it here she's like everyone can treat me horribly and just say sorry but i can you do it too everybody does it in this group this is one of the biggest groups that does
Starting point is 01:01:07 it is and look if that's how meredith feels right now then fine go for it like again i'm completely fine with this one going left because it does get everybody in the group involved it doesn't go the same way as all the other apologies and you would expect everything to kind of go the same way like ah you know what we've got a lot more perspective now that we did a couple of weeks ago let's just live and let live everybody forgive everybody everybody vibe with it meritor stick it in it nope fuck you i don't want to accept your apology i don't want to do this whole song and dance again we're done with all of this. Fuck you for even insinuating that I should accept her apology.
Starting point is 01:01:41 I don't want to hear any of this shit. You guys do all these things. You say deplorable things and what? I'm just supposed to accept it. Yeah. I mean, there is like a chart. I would say Lisa's at the top of the chart for the things that are said about her and said to her.
Starting point is 01:01:53 And then she's expected to accept every apology that comes her way. And she does for the most part. Meredith is right under her. Everybody's been going after Meredith for the last couple of years saying things about her marriage, saying things about drinking, pill popping, whatever. and now you're trying to say Yeah, then she said it, but that's okay That's just for Turnpire
Starting point is 01:02:13 It's just it gets to a point where if she doesn't want to accept the apology, she doesn't have to. Maybe she wants to see some actions. I don't know. Maybe she's just in her own little delusional lands that only Meredith can understand and this is where she's going to operate from. I don't care as long as she's operating. As long as she doesn't do what you just said and checks out and coasts and just looks around like,
Starting point is 01:02:33 I don't need to do anything with you. I need her to have the conversations. I need those conversations, at least for now, to be in front of the whole group because the way that this just crescendos all around to everybody, and they all start popping off. And then again,
Starting point is 01:02:48 Brahmin goes after Lisa because Lisa's just trying to explain Meredith's side of it. I don't really get that. It was good. It works, especially for this group. Everybody's chiming in to the point where Kauai is trying to say, like, hey, everybody's settled down. And she's like, hey, you weren't fucking here.
Starting point is 01:03:04 You have no idea what that all happened here. whoa, she's just trying to get everybody to settle down in a restaurant, but okay, yeah, sure, why not? Let's keep going. Everybody gets active. Yep, but the thing that gave me the most hope, because I did enjoy the scene, I like that everyone's getting involved.
Starting point is 01:03:20 But the fact that we could reel it in and have like a temperature check and be like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Obviously, there's a lot of heavy shit going on, and that plays into it for sure. But the fact that we had this moment of apologies, We've had people, I don't even think it's about the apologies. And I don't know if they had a conversation beforehand.
Starting point is 01:03:40 I don't know if this is a product of how ugly ultimate girls trip was. And they were like, hey, we need to get back on track a little bit. And like that shit with Lisa was fucking stupid. All of the above, perhaps. But the fact that they can at the end of this kind of squash it, look around, reel it in. There's tensions are still a little bit high, which is what we want. We want some tension. But I don't want it to be overblown between everybody.
Starting point is 01:04:05 at once all the time. So Angie kind of hitting the pause button and people respecting that and getting quieter and then saying a couple of nice things, being cordials. I was like, if we're able to actually do this and this is a microcosm of the whole season, that's, that's, that's, that's pretty good, pretty, pretty good. Gives me a lot, a lot of hope. Same zies. Same zies.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Let's see who squeeze some questions in here. I did put it up like halfway through the episode. So I sure we weren't expecting it. There we go. First one up here from Sweet Sarah 10. Who is Meredith trying to fool with this wig? I had to get. I had to start off with that.
Starting point is 01:04:50 T-gal now and Meredith is definitely wearing. It's everybody who asked the question last week. I know. But it's everybody in here that asked the question last week. And we were like, I don't know. I didn't really notice. We don't notice that shit. That's this is, look, you guys choose to listen to this podcast.
Starting point is 01:05:04 we are dudes that are not really aware of for the record you asked me last week if she did don't sell yourself because people were asking questions oh dev dev said it yeah dev said she asked me during the episode she was like hey he's out of wig and i was like oh i don't know uh lindsay bucks yeah anyone else forget about brittany last week yeah i did 100% genuinely on the show until she came she just dropped a uh an album too she had she's good voice. Yeah, I know she does actually. Georgia Fuller.
Starting point is 01:05:40 Quai said that she was the first to try Vita. So is she the only? I've never seen Vita in the wild. Yeah, that's where we are. We don't get it. You have no idea. Do I have to go on like a scavenger hunt to find this shit? Let's see.
Starting point is 01:05:55 Jennifer 6.10 should merit to forgive Whitney. As we said, it doesn't matter as long as she's involved. Doesn't. Yep. Doesn't matter at all. Shoshi Davis still unsure about how the season's going to go, but I'm staying optimistic for now. It's a good place to be.
Starting point is 01:06:09 I've swung completely back to like clean slate. Yeah, but I was worried. I've been worried about this show since like season or since episode six of last year. So this is the closest I've been back to even with a good future in a long time. I feel good. I think clean slate's the best way to put it. I'm not predicting good or bad. I'm just like, all right, let's see what we got.
Starting point is 01:06:32 Whereas before I was like, boy, they better not do X, Y, or Z, or it's going to be a bad season again. So I'm cool. Like, this is, this is fine for me. Yeah. From, Hey, WMS. Do you think that Whitney and Justin's separation is just a storyline? No, I think it's legit.
Starting point is 01:06:49 I mean, Justin lost all of her money, lost her brand. I wouldn't be surprised if she has resentment. She probably just doesn't know that she actually has resentment towards him. And it's coming out in very weird Whitney ways. But I don't think it's just a storyline. I think it's legit. They could 100% be playing it up. That would be a very Whitney thing as to like produce some of these scenes that we're seeing.
Starting point is 01:07:11 But, you know, I think it's, I think it's legit. Which leads me to another Jennifer 6.1-0. Will Whitney and Bronwyn both end up getting divorced? Yeah, for sure. I think they both end up divorced, at least by the end of next season. I think the process of. Bronwyn's definitely going to get divorced and then I think that Whitney's going to end up
Starting point is 01:07:35 kind of feeding off of that like oh, it's okay. Yeah, you know what? Bromwin actually is having fun and I could do that too. I need to feel this too. And then that's kind of where it would go. Yeah, it's a lot of repeat questions. We'll end on. I'm not talking about OC during this.
Starting point is 01:07:56 Get out of your radio. Zero chance. And yes, we are covering it. Yeah. All right. Yeah, this is sort of what you said. And Lindsey Bucks already asked a question, but whatever, I'll figure it out. Why is Meredith acting like they don't all say mean things about each other constantly?
Starting point is 01:08:16 Is she asleep when anyone speaks besides Whitney? That's, yeah. That's what she does. I do, too. That's funny. But yeah, like she has been involved. but the way that she says things and the way that she sets things up
Starting point is 01:08:33 is she'll say she'll allude to something to somebody that she knows is going to say what it actually is to the person. That's her move. And yeah, she was checking up on our correspondence in the DMs,
Starting point is 01:08:47 the Monica Garcia scene. There was a lot of smoke that season and because of what went down, we didn't get to see any press. And then they dropped it. The next season was gone because they had that sisterhood thing on the beach.
Starting point is 01:09:00 They came back together. So we missed that whole thing. So yes, everyone says mean shit. Yes, she's got skeletons in her closet. Will we ever get to see them? If it was any other houseway, literally, I don't think we will. I don't think we will. I think she's figured this game out somehow.
Starting point is 01:09:18 And it's stouting. It is astounding. It's swung back in the other direction. Now it's astounding. Yep. But yeah. Look, off to a good start. Off through a good start.
Starting point is 01:09:30 It's been a solid, solid time for Bravo, I will say, across the board, except one miserable show. I'm not going to say, because I'm having a good time. Yeah, agreed. But, yeah, it's late. We did this right after it aired, so we're going to hit the sack. That's all I got. Yep. I'm driving to your house as soon as I hang up here.
Starting point is 01:09:53 Hang up. Log off. I don't know. It's late. That's all I got you. Anything else? Nope. No, Bradford is right here.
