It's very interesting watching this season now knowing what we know.
And all it does is make you look into every single little interaction,
every face they make, the body language.
I'm full throttle like Sherlock Holmes right now.
Yeah, I mean, I feel like we can probably just start every episode saying that,
pretty much backdated from last week until the end of the season.
The reunion is going to be a completely different animal.
I'm really excited about that.
I think they're recording it next week.
if I'm correct on that because it's already Thursday.
So yeah, probably next week.
So that's going to get interesting.
Lindsay was asked about that.
It doesn't seem like anybody's really looking forward to it.
So I can't really, I honestly, I can't wait for that.
But the rest of it, I fully agree with.
I do think I'm going at it from a different angle because there's a lot less West in this episode.
So I'm more so looking at Amanda.
So I think I'm looking at them individually.
Like, yes, I am fully convinced that they had some sort of fling.
but I'm going to look at their interactions individually with other people
and then try to paint them as a terrible person.
That's what I'm doing.
It's interesting you said that just because I was doing the same thing.
I think it was just forced because the best wasn't present.
But we'll save it.
We'll save it.
We'll get into it shortly.
As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos.
Oh man, it's 8 o'clock.
And so that'll make it a...
I don't need the spotlight.
I shine just fine.
Hi, I'm Karma.
And yes, I am a bitch.
Brov Bros.
Good evening, everybody.
Welcome back to another episode of Brav Bros.
Your favorite podcast from the Bros.
For everybody, for whoever wants to listen, I am your co-host, Steele Russell,
joined as always by the one and only, Sleuth Magoutes.
What's up, dude?
Well, I feel like it's only right because everybody knows how hard it's going to be,
not only to watch the Summer House episodes, which that's my favorite thing now,
is going on Twitter or Instagram or whatever,
and people reposting or reacting to the episode saying,
I don't even know why I'm watching anymore.
I don't care.
I just want to get to the reunion.
I just want to see what we can get.
And I want to get in the city or whatever it might be.
It's very funny to watch that.
But I think I actually was able to really watch this episode
and not just think about West and Amanda the whole time.
I think I was actually able to think about other things.
I was too, actually.
I'm still invested in other people on the show and their stories.
lines. As you said earlier, I'm not having an issue watching this as a show show. You know,
I'm not only stuck on the Amanda West up. I don't show. The old show show. I'm so invested in so many
other people because they have such a good cast right now that, again, makes me nervous for next season
because we finally got to the place that we wanted to get to with this show. We're having fun again.
We're going out. We have great people in the house. And lo and behold, some blonde-haired fuck
boy is going to ruin all of that. But whatever, let's jump.
Kyle. Well, no, shockingly.
We all thought it would be him.
Let's start off with a huge, huge, we talked about it last week, a huge fuck you to the producers.
A huge we told you so.
You knew it.
Like, this is such bullshit.
You can see it coming from a mile away.
And let's just turn back the tape real quick.
End of last week's episode.
Bailey says to Dara, well, were you not in Ben's room?
No.
No.
Where did that no come from?
because I was watching like a hawk for the rest of that conversation.
She doesn't even say no.
They just completely threw that shit in there.
She must have said in the beginning of the conversation when we weren't really paying attention.
We go to this week's episode.
Well, were you not in Ben's room?
I was.
I had all of my stuff in there.
I needed to pop in there real quick to get changed.
He came after me.
We talked a little bit.
It was flirty in nature.
Her and Bailey have a good conversation about this.
And thank God too, because I don't like it when Bailey gets awkward and upset about things.
He neither.
don't go the way that they should.
But there was no shade here.
Like this was a completely platonic, normal conversation where Dara talks about how,
yes, I was flirting with Ben.
I wanted to see if anything was there.
I wasn't with KJ at the time.
Bailey understands.
I thought that it was a little bit more serious.
So I was talking about it.
And the big issue is I went back to Ben and talked about this whole thing.
And he completely played it off like nothing happens.
So we're not even, we don't even need the fucking timestamps anymore.
We don't need to see what's going on here.
And by the way, everything that people have maybe said about Dara and trying to get on the show and being a fan and seeing what this life could be like, you can pivot that shit.
Send it over to Sabrina because holy shit, what the hell is she on?
And I can't wait to talk about her in a second.
But just to finish off this little conversation that was a cliffhanger, fuck off.
Why the hell do we do this?
This was so stupid.
Yep.
We told you so.
We knew it.
knew that was a setup and whatever it's annoying my thing though with that conversation one
bailey is awesome Bailey is is such a great addition to the show she's had such a great season
and she's seen like so genuine right like i i i really really like bailey why the fuck
is dara so pressed about ben saying that he didn't flirt with her she's like what do you
mean i was like why are you so what what the fuck i i think it was part i took it
partly she had just said and again like her and kj weren't even the thing at this point so who
cares but she had just said and openly admitted like yeah we were flirting we were seeing if the
vibe was there wait ben didn't say that he was flirting like he was overly flirting and we watched
him he was overly flirted the whole time but she's like why don't insult me i was like are you really
that that was that's that's chick talk i was fine with that that's just yeah chick talk yeah we
have a problem with chick talk
Our listeners might.
No, that's, but I'm just saying it's the inverse of dude talk.
Like when dudes are talking and probably most girls are watching it, like, what are these
idiots talking about?
This makes no sense to me.
It doesn't compute.
When girls are talking about this thing, like, it's fine.
Her and KJ are in a good place.
I have no problem with it.
If she wants to be a little offended that Ben didn't also reciprocate the flirting and he's
telling other people that she's the only one who is flirting, it might look a certain way.
It's like, oh, she's thirsty and now she's with KJ.
I understand that.
mutual.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I'd be curious.
You guys listening, leave some comments if you thought it was as weird as I did.
Apparently, shoot or didn't.
I thought it was fucking bizarre.
I didn't find a weird.
On that.
So you guys let us know, chime in.
But 100% on the same page with Sabrina.
But that we can firmly agree on because what the fuck?
Ben and Sabrina arrive.
She's overly nice to every, like extremely nice.
nice to everyone and the way that she was talking to Sierra, you're letting on too much that Ben is,
first of all, Ben's sharing way too much, entirely way too much. But even so, why are you coming
in like this? Like, oh my God, Sierra, this, that, the other, like, I love you so much. I care.
I just want to be friends with you. I was, all right, that's a little much, but I was, I still wasn't
completely out at that point. I thought there was a little strange. The more she talks, the more I'm like,
oh my god how many tv shows have you tried to get on like this is insane did you see your avenue here
that ben that's probably honestly what happened ben told her i got cast on this show
she said i love you because she wanted to lock him down so she could be on the show
ben got panicked he bounced and then we had this this this comeuppance where he
somehow misses her he's like i want sabrina back and i bet you that that phone call but
between the two of them.
He said, I'm sorry, and she said, I love you.
And he was like, great.
And because I really, how weird she was, I'm not going to mince words here.
The way that went in my head now, after meeting her, after seeing her interact with all the people here, it's exactly what you said.
She wanted to lock it in and say, I love you.
Then got scared and ran away because he wanted to be hot, single, and in New York.
He then realized, oh, shit, these other women realized that I have no person.
personality. I've got nothing to give. I'm a wet blanket. I'm a complete wet blanket. Let me go back to
that girl who said, I love you because I feel like that's the best I'm going to do. And she's
attractive. Yeah, she's a little fucking weird and awkward in conversations, but I don't think I'm
going to do any better. So you know what? This is what I want with my life. I'm going to go back to
that girl. And she was sitting there with open arms because she wants to be on the show. This is a very
weird connection, but it is what it is. Yeah, 100%. And if they're cool with it, I don't really care.
And like I never get hung up on that issue.
I like to point it out.
Yeah.
But I don't care that people vibe for spots on these shows.
Like it makes sense to me.
Like it's when people get upset that a housewife is a fan of the show.
It's like who cares as they as exactly.
As long as they're good like as a cast member,
I could give a shit how they got there.
I don't I don't need Sabrina on this show after her first showing.
Like she is not going to be good for the show.
So that's when I have an issue.
And the other part is next week we're going to have to see an interaction where Sabrina and Amanda sit down alone and talk.
And we do want to see weird one-on-one conversations with just Amanda so that we can dig into it.
But not that.
We're not going to get anything out of her about her and West.
I mean, it's just going to lead more into, are you in love with Ben or is it been in love with you?
What happened in Italy?
Like, yeah, it's a piece of the puzzle, but it's a certainly small piece that's on the corner.
It's like, I don't care.
Like, we can find it.
We know what the picture looks like.
That's like intention.
Like, what's her intention?
Because if Italy did happen and her and Ben Boyk, that's just like a, that's a character
witness.
It's more timeline.
But like it's very early timeline because I think Italy is the summer prior or the fall prior.
It was right after the summer.
Right after the summer house season.
Yeah.
So we'll call it September 2024 is when we're, it's just establishing timeline because then
again, you can ask more.
questions like okay did ben and amanda boink was there overly flirt flirty behavior going on all right
maybe kyle and amanda were already talking about separating at that point like you can do that
but i don't think it's really that integral to everything else that's going on so it's just going to be
that's again we talked about it last week that we weren't really going to care about shit that's one of those
things i'm locking in on certain things again because we have to recap it that's something that i really
don't care about. Yeah, it's more, again, just like a testament to her character if that happened,
right? That's, that's alluding to, okay, she's capable of way more than we thought she was,
if that comes out. But that is not integral to the entire storyline of what's going on. Agreed.
The one interesting thing that is that is coming out of all of this is, is I'm looking at Jesse
Solomon different in a good way. He is not nearly as scummy as I thought he was because
No.
West is so much more scummy that I'm like,
Jesse's a bit of a fuck boy,
but he's also relatively self-aware.
And he's also having really good episodes since the news.
He was having terrible episodes.
The news drops.
And now he's having great episodes.
He's coming in with his one-liners.
He's talking about Sabrina,
saying, well, like,
she's very sweet.
I like her energy,
but I'm just hung up on how quickly they're jumping back into things.
You know,
maybe they're hooked up this whole time.
They're a secret girlfriend.
I was like, look at you coming.
up with theories. So where's this fucking guy been? I like this guy. Yeah. It's, I don't know.
I do not understand the timing of everything because his behavior shouldn't have changed retroactively
and yet it has. And it makes no sense to me. I don't really care that much though because he's got
a meteoric rise to number two guy in the group. Obviously, Carl is number one. Is it a retroactive
edit? No, I don't even think it's that. Because it's still, it's his confessionals that. And look,
I do think we are looking at him differently.
We have a different set of glasses on when we're watching Jesse because we don't care
too much.
If we still loved West and we liked the way everything was playing out and we were still
focused heavily on what Amanda and Kyle we're going to be doing, maybe it would still look
at like Jesse Solomon comment like, all right, dude, like go away.
You're not really bringing anything to the show.
But because of everything we know now, maybe we're looking at.
But like we can't be looking at it that differently.
where all of a sudden he's likable.
Like he is likable right now.
So I don't really get it.
But I'm enjoying it.
I'll give it that.
Yeah, I am too.
I mean,
he stepped up what he needed to.
Like,
we do need him to be a contributing factor now that all the shit's popping off.
So the timing's just bizarre.
But we get to meet Mia's boyfriend,
Scott.
And it's a big deal that he's there because he's usually MIA.
Get it?
Nice.
Yep.
Because Mia.
Yep.
I know.
We've done the MIA pun before with a different.
Yeah, with a different, yeah, a much, much worse, Mia.
Much, yeah, much more.
Yeah, not even the same spectrum as, as this Mia.
This Mia is fantastic.
She's one of my favorite people on Bravo now.
Yeah, maybe, maybe best first season of a.
No, don't do that.
Not yet.
Uh, I think she's safe.
I think so too, but we, we have a track record.
We do have a track record.
Somebody, wait.
I got to find it because it made me laugh so hard.
Here we go.
Page 9576 says, in quotes, West is redeeming himself, but usually when we say that,
we are proven wrong.
Sorry, guys.
We literally did it with West.
We're like, when we do this, we're usually proven wrong.
Everybody did it with West.
That can't just be us, though.
We have been singled out before, and we're the first to admit that we have said,
and we have stood by a person.
Usually it's a house husband and we say he's great.
He's likable.
This is going to be so much fun.
I'm glad he's on the show.
And then immediately after,
like within an episode,
we completely have to back.
Huge pile of shit.
Yep.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The West thing,
though,
everybody felt that way.
Everybody was falling over him.
He posted a video of them all dancing when they had all their,
their tuxes on for Amanda's birthday.
Everybody was falling over West.
And within a week that was gone.
So that's not just us.
We didn't do that.
We didn't.
No.
Look at us.
But it is, we still kind of did it.
But we didn't.
It wasn't only us this time.
Yeah.
Fair.
So anyway, Lindsay and Dara and Bailey and Levi are standing around talking.
And I think you're getting a really good idea of how Lindsay really feels about Carl.
And not in like, oh, they still love each other.
She cares about him.
And she will always care about him.
And it's going to always come with a little bit of stank.
But at the end of the day, like, she is recommending that they go out with them.
She is pretty much confirming like, yeah, you should try to date him.
He's a good dude.
Actually, you know what?
Send him a nudie.
Like, that was very funny.
But the whole thing with Carl and Bailey, I'm still so pissed off that we didn't get that date.
We need a second date so we can see the entire thing or just release the first date
so we can watch that.
I don't know.
But they are so awkwardly perfect for each other that every time that they're talking,
I am at the edge of my seat.
Like just,
I love every single second of it.
I need them to get married.
Yeah.
Wait.
Whoa.
Relax.
I love you.
No,
it is absolutely incredible.
We watched,
though,
and we talked about it before too.
The one thing I will point out,
which is actually kind of funny now because Levi's kind of leading into it,
we've talked about Levi.
We want more from Levi.
She's now posting on TikTok
and she's reacting to her own things
on Summerhouse and usually we say
oh, this person got edited out or whatever.
And I do think she is getting the short end of the stick,
getting edited it out.
Agreed.
But she is confirming that she just kind of stands there with her mouth open.
It doesn't say anything.
So there are certain conversations.
This was one of them when the four of them
are all huddled up talking.
She just didn't really have a whole lot of input.
I know.
I watch myself when I'm cringing.
Like spit it out.
I know.
I know you have things to say.
Just say things.
And at first I didn't really recognize her because she did the floating head thing.
I'm like, oh, maybe this is one of her friends or somebody who feels the same way.
We don't know.
It was actually her reacting to herself in these times, not being able to speak.
And I like that.
I think it's funny.
And I think it goes to show who she is.
And I think I'm just going to proclaim it now, especially in the flux of what Summerhouse is,
just give her another season.
Let her come next year and we'll see what she gets.
I will give her this.
she is the most likable non-factor that I've seen.
Like for some reason, I like, like, we've gotten nothing from her.
And in seasons past, when we have a castmate like this, we're the first ones to be like,
what the fuck is this person doing here?
I don't feel that way with Levi.
Instead, I'm like, rooting for her.
I'm like, come on, you can do this.
So I agree.
I think we, we give her another run.
I think that Bailey's done well enough for the both of them to give her another try.
And the fact that she's leaning into her on socials, great.
Awesome.
So, yeah.
I'm with you. Levi deserves another chance. We'll get a petition going just in case, you know.
And we'll get right back to the rest of our episode. But first, I got to talk to you guys about
Robody. And maybe you've heard about GLP ones, maybe you have friends or family who have already
started their GLP1 journey. But did you know that there are more benefits to GLP1s than just
weight loss? Because it is an overall health journey that leads to not only losing weight, but you can
also expect to have better lab numbers, more energy, new levels of
confidence and more benefits that go beyond the scale. And the best part about robot is not only
will they be there every single step of the way, but they also have the new FDA-approved
GLP-1 pill. So it's going to be an alternative to that shot that you've already heard about,
and it packs the same comparable results to the shot, and it can help patients lose up to 14%
of their body weight in a year on average. And that's just one daily pill for fewer cravings and
feeling fuller with an innovative new formula clinically proven to maximize weight loss.
So go over to rowbody and go to row.com slash braw bros to see if you're eligible for the new
GLP1 pill on row.
That's RO.co slash browbrose to get started on row.
Go to row.com slash safety for box warning and full safety information about GLP1 medications
based on study and non-diabetics with obesity or overweight plus a weight related
condition with diet and exercise.
Now we'll get into our recap of this episode.
But we keep moving and we get Amanda and Sierra and Kyle.
And Scott, and they're sitting there talking and they're hitting it off.
They're having fun.
Scenes like this hit much different now because, first of all, we get another dig at Kyle.
Kyle can be the fifth wheel.
He's taking it in stride.
He's like, ha, ha, you know what?
It's all good because we're in such a good spot.
Like, we needed something to break.
I take full responsibility for breaking it.
That's all on me.
I guess it was good for you for acknowledging that.
And I finally feel hopeful and optimistic and excited.
and my heart dropped.
I mean, my heart didn't drop.
We've seen this version of Kyle before
where he feels like they're going to figure everything out.
Their marriage is going to be great.
And he's, yeah, I feel bad about what I did.
I just mean the aftermath of what's going,
like what's coming.
I'm like, oh, no, I know what's.
Even still, you know what?
I'm going to look at this in its own way.
We've seen this before.
We've heard this before.
Your marriage was doomed regardless.
It's not like, like, I still don't think I'm ever.
really going to look at this and be like, wow, if West didn't happen, I mean, Amanda figured it out.
Like, no. And I know some people are probably going to do that and some people are going to look at
this scene in particular and think that. Like, damn, if West and Amanda didn't hook up, like, I feel
bad for Kyle. No. Maybe he was on the right. Like, no, no, no, we're not doing that. No
revisionist history here. I don't really feel bad. We've seen this before. It never works out.
They finally called it quits. That's good for everybody involved. Now everything after that is bad for
everybody involved. But this, I'm not going to feel bad for him. But I did think it was kind of funny because
actually, no, I didn't think it was funny. I thought something else was funny. I felt bad in the moment because
Sierra and Amanda were the couple. And it was going to be, I'm going to be with Sierra because she doesn't
have anybody and will be together and you can see yourself out of here. That's tough because that
continues and furthers the two of them being very close and being friends and Amanda doing nice things for
Sierra.
No.
Nope.
There's going to be a much worse moment between the two of them later.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Fuck.
So sad.
But let's have a happy moment.
I thought Amanda.
I thought Amanda was going to show up in North Carolina to go to the house and
see everything and then we're going to have a moment.
That could have been the absolute worst case scenario.
I would have said everything on fire.
I would, but you know damn well she went there.
You know that they had a moment there together.
There's no way that Amanda didn't go to that house.
I doubt it.
Amanda doesn't leave her apartment.
Remember, she's lazy.
Yeah, I hope God.
Got it.
That I will make fun of.
Boom, roasted.
Although I did, I think it was on like Friday.
I had a couple of drinks at Happy Hour and then Kyle posted something about either
lover boy merch.
Oh, it was when the Carl's a mess sweatsher came out, which by the way, I did get one.
Dev also, I think, got one.
She did talking about it.
Um, he was posting about that.
I commented on his video and said,
wow, your apartment looks really clean.
What changed?
No, no.
Oh, well, what are we going to do?
Look, at least we're consistent, guys.
You know, at least we're consistent.
I wasn't really affected by all of this.
No.
I mean, we haven't slept in like two weeks, but I've had to do a lot more work, but like,
whatever.
Anywho, Bailey and Carl have their little moment.
they're flirting back and forth.
You know, Carl's like, I'm really taking it slow here.
Respect the shit out of the line that he said.
I'm being careful hooking up in the house.
Cue the montage of all the meltdowns as a result of dating within the house.
Look, dating within the house is going to happen, right?
We rally against it because of the damage it causes.
If it's going to happen, at least we're going to be self-aware before we get into it.
That's all I can say.
Because like the Bailey and Carl thing, I think we all are rooting for understanding that it could be detrimental to the house.
But at least they're acknowledging that as well.
Like that gives me some kind of confidence in this.
Yeah, it does kind of.
Look, it's a bad time for confidence.
I'll give you that.
Sure.
It's really tough to have any confidence in anything going on.
But I do.
I do think that the scene gave me a little bit of confidence of that.
I'll give you that.
Now, Lindsay gives her toast, which is great, because she,
I think she says this every time she gives a speech.
She's like, I really hate speeches.
I'm like, you give a lot of them for somebody that hates speeches.
Not that I don't mind.
Anything also did that.
Yeah.
That's a good point too.
But, you know, she's excited for the next chapter of her life.
And we get a nod to Carl.
She's like, yeah, and my ex-fiancee's here, crickets.
Nobody does any.
I was like, oh, God, somebody laugh.
Somebody do something.
But the only thing that could make that better is to just,
say fuck it, double down.
And she doubles down.
It's like, hell yes.
And that's why you're great, Lindsay, because you don't give a fuck.
She doesn't give a fuck.
And also Carl's in such a funny place, too.
And look, I feel bad using this as my comparison.
But it's sort of like last summer when West would react when Sierra would talk to him.
And he was like, I don't care if it's mean.
At least she's talking to me.
She's acknowledging.
And Carl does know Lindsay.
He knows her very well.
They almost got fucking married.
So her even making this joke in front of everybody, he's still focused on the fact that he was invited.
Like I still got invited to this.
I didn't get invited so that she could go up on stage and point at me and laugh.
It's not that far.
It's more just like a nod.
Like everybody knows I'm here.
It's the elephant in the room.
Carl's here.
They were engaged.
We all know what happens there.
She's able to make a joke.
Carl's the only one who's got a smile on his face for the most part.
Other people eventually warm up.
But Carl knows what this is and he's okay with it.
So I love it.
I think it's very funny.
There's one long-haired fella in the shot.
I'm going to call him Tom because he looks like a Tom.
He was not amused.
No.
He wasn't amused at all.
Do you know the guy I'm talking about?
Yeah, I know exactly.
Yeah, he was,
I was like,
dude,
lighten the fuck up,
buddy.
Like,
who are you?
Yeah,
he really brought my vibe down.
Tom.
Come on,
dude.
Yeah.
Yeah,
he's probably like the one.
He's the one Lindsay friends that's still holding on to it.
We said fuck Carl forever.
And now Lindsay's able to make a joke,
well,
I'm not moving on.
just in case things go sideways.
I can always point to myself on the crowd.
Look at me.
I wasn't laughing at that.
I don't want Carl to have a good time.
We're not doing that.
Yeah, fuck you, Tom, you nerd.
Anyway, let's get back to Sabrina real quick.
This was the nail in the coffin.
Not that it needed much more nails to me not wanting her on the show,
but this just screams.
I want to be part of what you guys are doing.
Because she's talking to Amanda and Dara.
and Bailey and Levi.
Amanda brings up Kyle.
She's like, I wake up every day
and I tell Kyle I'm feeling.
Sabrina, I'm dying to know
what's happening in the relationships.
And if this isn't true love,
granted, they just met.
Okay, guys?
If this isn't true love,
then you need to go and find it.
The fuck are you talking about?
You don't get to do that.
That just says,
I've been watching you guys for years.
I've been watching for years.
I finally get to tell you how I feel.
It was crazy fan behavior.
I mean, there's fan behavior where clearly you know because you've been watching and you can see that like reasonable doubt in their mind that they shouldn't be talking about it, but they're still doing it and just coming out as like a word vomit.
This was not that.
Now, I do know for a fact that Ben hangs out with Kyle and Amanda a lot in the city.
They live in the same area.
Carl's there a lot too.
And we've been seeing a lot of them kind of like hanging out in the off season as it is.
so there's a chance that this isn't the first time that they met,
but I'm still going to treat it like it's the first time they met.
Crazy behavior, unbelievable behavior because Ben, even still,
Ben and Sabrina just started getting back together within like the last week,
within the last couple of days they started hanging out again.
So no, this is not grounds for you to ask Amanda and tell her that you're dying to know
the inner workings of her marriage that is falling apart before everybody's eyes.
No, absolutely not.
This is not the time place.
There is no time replaced for any of this.
No, certifiable.
That was certifiable.
It was insane behavior.
And it just, like I said, all that does is tell all of us watching, like, oh, you've watched this show.
You're a big fan and you finally get to chime in on Kyle and Amanda.
And you fucking didn't hesitate.
Brutal.
That's rough.
But let's go to Belmont, North Carolina for a really cool scene.
This is awesome.
Now, Sierra's in a grandparents' house.
to meet with the interior designer.
It's like this open concept she's going for.
And you get to learn more about the neighborhood itself and what her grandpa did.
He bought multiple houses on the block and gave each kid a different house,
trying to build up some generational wealth, which for a black family was difficult to do,
is difficult to do.
So he was trying to set up his family, which is incredible.
And the fact that Sierra was able to go and get this house is even cooler.
We find out later the hoops that she had to jump through.
just to buy this house because she was going up against her dad who didn't want to sell the house.
It definitely wouldn't have sold to her.
She had to create an LLC and then create a trust and then have her realtor go on her behalf to the court to try to get the house and blah, blah, blah, blah.
This was not an easy task.
And so I'm sure it's got to be such a satisfying feeling for her to have that house, to have something to share with her family, have that common space for everybody.
I just thought that this was like a really, like we've watched Sierra throughout the,
years, you know, just really figure out her life. And like, despite all the bullshit we've seen
her have to deal with, like she in her own personal and professional life has crushed it to the
point that she's able to do this. So amidst all of the bullshit that we are dealing with currently
in the midst of all the bullshit she's currently dealing with, she's still such a fucking rock star
that I'm glad she had this moment on screen. I thought it was really cool. Yeah. And this is one of those
standalone moments too, because you don't even really have to bring the current events into it.
Sierra is such a mainstay on this show that this is very warranted.
This is a very good storyline for her that she should be featured on regardless of what's going on.
And again, this is me watching this show, not even through the lens of what's going on currently.
We should be seeing this.
This is still a very good season, regardless of what everybody feels.
We can still enjoy it because we're not watching it play out on screen.
We don't know what's going on.
They don't know what's going on.
We should still be able to watch this as a good season.
this is a good component of that season.
It's a feel good story.
Sierra, who everybody loves,
it's a very big fan favorite.
She goes down to North Carolina to go do all these things,
and she lets you into her life,
which is something that we haven't really seen on a show like this.
I mean, this is such a weird group of let's go to New York
and let's go to the Hamptons and do this and that and whatever.
We don't really get to see the inner workings of their personal lives too much,
which is something that we've been calling for for a while.
This is a good feel, good story.
This is a good one-off scene before you get back to the chaos of the Hamptons.
we want to know what's going on in people's lives,
especially somebody like Sierra,
who we all love and we want to watch Prosper.
We want to see these things.
We want to understand more about their background,
more about what they're going through aside from just partying in the Hamptons.
This isn't what this show is.
It's evolved.
Yeah, no, I agree.
And I think that Sierra has not really let us in as much over the,
like she has done a lot this season to like let us in a little bit more.
So that's what we want.
We want to see it.
And it's cool to be able to,
able to celebrate her in that moment. So big caduce to Sierra for that. That was awesome. But
let's get back to New York. And we got Mia, Amanda, and Lindsay, and they're meeting up to have a
couple of drinks. It's so funny now because, like, again, and we'll say this until the cows come home,
Kyle was detrimental to their marriage, regardless of what's currently happening. Okay. Like, all of the
stuff that we've said about Kyle the past still rings true. We're not rescinding all of the beat down.
the verbal beatdowns we've given him.
It is what it is.
But it doesn't mean that certain things aren't going to hit different now that we know what's
going on,
such as,
uh,
shit,
it was Kyle's birthday on Monday and I kind of forgot.
I asked if he could go walk the dogs.
I was like,
oh,
God,
you're just,
you're just burying yourself.
Yeah.
It's so funny to look at that too.
Without the current events,
you're looking back and you're like,
uh,
I get it,
Amanda,
you're checked out.
The marriage is over.
You know,
this is another thing that we can look at and just kind of point to.
and say, yeah, you guys shouldn't be together.
Looking at it now, like, oh, you're a real asshole.
Yeah.
You're stuck.
You're terrible.
Fuck you.
It's so funny.
The turn on the, like a complete turn on a dime that we're doing now.
We have to just point it out.
We would all react very differently if this happened a couple of weeks ago.
If this episode took place three weeks ago, we'd be watching this like, yeah.
I get it, Amanda.
I understand.
You guys are done.
You're checked out.
You've given him so many chances.
Like, it is what it is.
I don't really feel bad for Kyle that you forgot his birthday.
And now we're, like, fuck you.
Yeah, what an asshole.
Tomato, tomato.
I mean, this scene was more than just that too, because it's a weird thing that maybe
other people wouldn't notice.
Mia was there.
And she's Sierra's friend.
She has ingratiated herself in the rest of the crew to the point where now she's
looking at Lindsay, like, I love you, Lindsay.
I want to talk about everything.
I'm going to talk to you about writing up a contract between.
talking to the right person, by the way.
Lindsay was all ears.
Dude, the reaction too, which was very funny.
And Amanda, boom, pointing it out, was very funny to me because Lindsay was like chomping
at the bit.
She's like, oh, my God.
Like, we could be best friends.
This is exactly this type of shit that I do.
You're writing him a contract saying he can't be away for more than 10 days at a time,
planning for the future, looking at your life as having a kid.
It was a really touching scene, too, because it is very interpersonal.
We don't know a whole lot about Mia and her boyfriend's relationship whose name I'm blanking on immediately.
What is it?
Scott.
Scott, thank you.
I was really working around that, but I just couldn't avoid it anymore.
We don't know a whole lot about me and Scott's relationship.
Now we're learning a ton.
And not only that, we're also learning about Mia's feelings when it comes to the whole thing and her planning down the line.
And it is really sad that she's going through this thinking because obviously we find out that her parents are both dead.
So there's not a whole lot that she gets to lean on.
There's not the whole it takes a whole neighborhood to raise a baby.
type of situation.
Takes a village.
Thank you.
Especially when Scott's going to be away for fucking four months at a time because he's
opening a restaurant in Miami and L.A.
and whatever.
Like, no, we can't have that.
I want to be with you,
but I don't want to be with you if you're going to be doing these things.
So this is something I'm getting out early.
I'm making sure that we're planning all of this shit out now.
Writing a contract for your boyfriend is objectively very funny.
But when you start talking about the specifics, I fully understand where she's coming
from.
Yeah, I do too.
And I think that her letting us.
in and opening up about this stuff is, is awesome. And I think that it's only adding to her likeability.
I mean, she, she is, like you said earlier, quite possibly the best newbie that we've had,
especially up Summer House, but just across the board, like she, she fit in so seamlessly with the
group. She's getting comfortable with the group. They're all responding to her. And now we get to
learn more about her. And, you know, the fact that her parents passed away, as you said,
mom passed away like a year, a year and a half ago or something like that. It was very sudden.
So now she, the way that she says that I thought was, was really touching and moving.
She feels untethered now.
She doesn't have a home, home base.
Absolutely.
And the flip side of that is now she has to work twice as hard.
She's like, I, I'm going to.
And she, again, talking to the perfect person because Lindsay's like, dude, totally get it.
I'm doing the same thing right now.
And let me tell you, it's hard, but it's worth it.
So keep trucking.
So I don't know.
It was, I think this is an important scene to just.
we're emboldening this group.
Again, it sucks that what's happening is happening
because we're seeing a rock solid foundation for this show
before we drop an atom bomb on it.
So it's pretty funny considering,
not like funny ha-ha, but funny, holy shit.

That this is all happening right now, but anyway,
let's head back to North Carolina.
We get Sierra with her mom,
and they're just chatting about the house,
and they are going through how she got the house,
as we said earlier, it's, you know, the LLC and then it's trust.
She had to go through all these back chats,
just to get the house, and she's concerned about her dad finding out.
We've heard about her relationship with her parents has been kind of up and down.
Her dad specifically, she hasn't talked to in like four years.
So she's concerned that his reaction is going to be, what his reaction is going to be once he finds out that she did this.
But I think mom is very supportive in this.
I think that she said it best.
It's like, look, you did what you had to do.
I'm always so proud of you.
Look at what you've done.
Look how far you've come.
And I think something that I've, oh, wow, sorry, I just got so sidetracked.
There's a BYU TV on my Roku.
No, is it just soaking?
Free TV for families.
I don't know.
I hope not because it says free TV for families.
I might have to watch that later.
I'll fill you guys in.
Anyway, back to what I was saying.
I feel like Sierra does not fully.
what's the word she doesn't give herself off at bYU tv i know i can't stop
all right look it up she never she doesn't give herself credit yeah right she doesn't give herself
credit for all the things that she's done i think that she is constantly feeling the need to
to prove herself and it's like which i i understand but at the same time it's like you've done
so much and you've done so much cool shit and i think in this moment you kind of see her
accept that like her mom is able to get through to her like hey
I'm proud of you and you should be proud of yourself.
And I think for the first time we really saw Sierra at a moment where she was like,
you know what?
I am proud of myself and she deserves that.
Yeah.
I mean, it's the journey that we've been talking about with Sierra and that she's been
sharing with us on the screen for a couple of years now.
I mean, she talks about her insecurities with her public image,
with what's going on in her life,
with her career,
with everything else that she's going to be expecting going forward.
So this was a good moment because it shows that not only has she grown and gotten to
the point where she can actually accept,
like, oh, wow, I've made something of myself.
I'm able to do these things that I've wanted to do.
And you can tell in this moment, too, like, she's been thinking about buying this house forever.
She's been thinking about it since she was a kid because it's only, it's been the only stable
piece of her life.
She's been moving around a lot.
She's got her issues with her dad where she hasn't talked to him in four years.
She doesn't know where she's going to be.
And now she's able to do all of these things and achieve her dreams.
Take a second to take it all in.
Obviously, you know, it sucks where she is now.
But right here in this moment, she just needs to, that, that, that,
quick little reminder and obviously, you know, a scene with her mom's always going to do that,
but a quick little reminder that, hey, you did something. You did something that you really wanted
to do. You put your mind to it, figured everything out and you were able to actually achieve it.
And now you get to do the fun part, which is finding this house and figuring out what you want to do with it.
It's your place, the place that you've actually found like a stable community, the place that you can have
constant reminders about your grandparents and all the good times that you had growing up there.
You get to make it your own and you get to pay homage to all of the people that helped you along the
and that's really nice.
Yeah, you did good, kid.
Take a second and soak it in.
I think she did.
So that was a...
Are you saying soak because the BYU TV still?
It's because BYU TV's still in my peripheral.
Yeah.
Hold on.
Yeah, turn it off.
No, I'm clicking at the C so I can just know what it is.
No cugas.
What is it?
Go cougas.
Go cougas.
Hold on, everybody.
I just need this to load really fast.
Oh, wow.
What?
I think my favorite part about all of this is we could easily just cut this out, like, and instead we're just living with it.
I just need you to understand that the first show on here is Studio C guest starring Rain Wilson.
Is he a Mormon?
I don't know.
Maybe.
I didn't think this is a very funny lineup of shows that they have here.
Wow.
Wow.
Wow, wow. If you guys get bored and you need to do something, go on your Roku and check out BYU TV. It's there. And it is, wow. Okay. Back to business. I am floored right now. Okay. Didn't expect to see Dwight from the office pop up immediately. Now, let's get back to business. Thank you guys for entertaining that. We're on the ride up. We're back going to the summer house. And you get another nice moment. Again, this is the true relationship of Lindsay and Carl, despite,
the jabs, the jokes, this, that, the other. She texted Carl, you know, a thank you for the book
that he got for Gemma. And it leads to the question to Carl's like, hey, do you think you'd
ever be friends again? I think we can all kind of see the roadmap to them being more than just
cordial. I think that they will be friends at some point. I'm still going to throw down that bet that in
15 years, they're both still single. They get married, but we'll see. But have a partnership.
Yeah, something like that. But it was also that weekend.
of the party was the anniversary of Carl's brother passing.
And it's been five years since that.
So obviously a big milestone there,
difficult day for him every single year.
And I think that Lindsay knew that.
And I think that I'm sure she alluded to it,
probably said something to him in the text,
and also invited him to the party.
And I think that that was probably a big factor in like,
come over, you know,
so you're not alone, not in your head.
That's, she cares.
And she always does.
And we love that about her,
even if she's a little rough around the edges.
but a lot of people reached out, which is cool.
Mia reached out.
Mia's brand new.
And Mia reached out.
Jesse reached out again.
Jesse just fucking vaulting up the ladder right now.
What a good guy he is.
I know.
The problem is his best friend, Kyle, didn't fucking text him.
Yeah.
No, I was going to talk about Jesse for a second.
Go for it.
Because what a guy, Jesse Solomon is.
Stand up, dude.
Oh, God.
This episode, like, obviously, like towards the ends, they, uh, they go golfing and stuff.
And I had texted Steele and said, we really should probably hit up Carl and maybe go golfing for a day and just hang out with them.
See what's going on.
And then about five minutes later, Texas said, I guess we should invite Jesse too.
I don't know what's going on.
I feel like something is possessed me at this point where I'm like, nah, I'm back in on Jesse.
I'm even thinking, you know what's funny?
I looked because obviously he's on a tour.
he's he's charging like 90 bucks for a ticket to his tour no yeah which is kind of wild but he is
going to be in philly on uh uh april 25th i think it is it's a friday night i'm still like kind of racking
my brain i'm like do i go to that to me and steal why don't we reach out and see if we can get
tickets before we spend a hundred and eighty dollars to go watch jesse sing
this he does even say i guess he sings a little bit but i imagine there's probably a bit of improv and
I think we're going to need to go ahead and try to reach out on that one and get some freebies.
Jesse says fuck you guys.
Probably.
You guys have talked all the shit on me.
So no,
you can't come to my show.
But,
or he's going to climb the ranks and be the number one guy in the group because you're like,
you know what,
guys,
you know what guys?
I took it in stride.
Get to this shot.
I laughed it off.
If he goes that route,
he's going to be pretty close to Carl.
But we'll keep you guys.
Lindsay's house warming and gets on the mic.
it points us out and puts the spotlight on us and says fuck these guys they hated me he would be he would
definitely be yeah and by the way if he did do that he would immediately be the number one guy in the group
because i would respect that big well done okay fair enough yep that'd be good but we're jumping
back and forth between cars and people are are finding out the kyle didn't text them so now they're
concerned about that whole thing but the other part is the sabrina conversation now at some
point in the evening, I don't know.
After watching the interaction, I think I know where this came from.
But Amanda said to Sabrina, everyone in the house thinks he's in love with me, which I
can't for the life of me understand why you would say that to a new girlfriend.
That's fucking banana land.
I mean, it kind of makes sense because of the way that Sabrina was talking.
That's what I was saying.
Where she's so weird and seemingly knows everything about my life.
And I mean, like, I would never view that as disarming because it's not like,
I would view like Bailey talking about shit like that as disarming.
I'd be like, oh, you're just, this is just who you are.
The way Sabrina was going about it, I'm like, get out of here.
Yeah, I agree.
I think Amanda felt some type of way about how she talked about Kyle and her, like,
inserting herself into the relationship.
I think this was like a get back.
I think she was a little irritated and she's like, well,
and took a little tiny shot at her by saying,
I think that was intentional and that was like a back to fuck up kind of thing.
Maybe it was.
Yeah.
I don't know.
But either way, I just,
I can't really wrap my head around like what would possess her to say that unless,
it's not like a gotcha moment where she's kind of marking her territory.
Like it's just,
again,
I mean,
we're reading into Amanda's behavior as much as we can.
I don't think this is correlated to what's going on currently.
I don't think it's correlated to her and Ben hooking up in Italy or anything.
It's just very bizarre behavior.
Like who the fuck would say that?
Like she wants to be wanted maybe?
Maybe.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I really,
I honestly do not know.
And again,
somebody like Sabrina comes up to you and she's talking the way that she is.
You don't want to provoke a person like that because that'll be weird for you.
I'll turn into a lampshade.
It's just very erratic behavior that's not,
it's not on brand for what we see Amanda as now.
And it's not on brand for how we see Amanda back then either.
So I'm very confused by the whole thing.
Yeah, I'm pretty confident.
It was a it was a get back.
A little jab there, but who the fuck knows now?
Like there's so many questions.
She is not who we thought she was apparently.
But it's also, I mean, the other side of this coin with Ben, you know, that the weird Amanda shit aside is like, you know, I was super happy.
We're all getting along and now it's all awkward.
We're not going to be able to double tight because of this.
I'm falling in love with this girl.
I was like, whoa.
Yeah.
Yeah, weird behavior on that part too.
That's crazy.
Yeah, he has quickly, like the plummet that he's had this season, just a straight downward.
He started high.
Like, he just started up here being Australian, being attractive, seems like, all right, he's got some thing.
I mean, obviously, you know, we don't want people in the house to hook up as it is.
But I'm like, he's got some charm to him.
And then he showed no charm.
And then he was weird with Bailey about the Amanda thing, which were the,
at now again. And it's just been a straight plummet since that. I mean, it's not, he's not like quirky in a fun way or, or, you know, we can't really figure out and like put our thumb or put our finger on like what he's going to do next. And it's like, well, I got to see what this guy's going to do next. He's such a wild car. Like, he's got no personality. And he's got very weird. And he's got very weird. And he's got very weird. And he's got very weird. And he's got very. I just, I just, I do not need him back. Like, please don't bring him back. There's, he's he doesn't do anything. He's, he doesn't do anything. He's just kind of weird and not negative fun way.
That's it.
Like he's just a bummer.
He's just a fucking bummer.
And when shit pops off with him,
it's not like,
ooh,
this is fun.
It's like,
oh,
why are you so serious,
dude?
Yeah,
fucking chill.
Oh,
boy.
Let's get back to the summer house
and we get three dudes,
one couch.
If you know that reference.
And Jesse asks Carl,
are you going to talk to Kyle?
I love that Jesse is,
first of all,
I just love Jesse.
What a great guy.
But I love that Jesse is saying,
To Carl, like pointing out, hey, you've been a great friend to him that we all see it.
You deserve that same thing back.
And I agree with Carl.
Like, it's pretty fucking weird that I have to go and tell him like, hey, my brother died and you forgot about it.
Like it's insane after brookes this topic with my best friend.
Let's not forget when his brother passed away, the first person Carl went to was Kyle.
Every anniversary since, I believe Kyle has been with him and acknowledged it and has helped him through these really hard days.
So to whiff on that is is crazy work.
And then I agree.
Like it's such a weird spot because like how do you bring that up to him?
And we already know that Carl's not good at talking to Kyle.
And meanwhile, you got West in the other room talking to Kyle who has no idea why Carl's upset.
He's like, oh, the investment stuff.
It's like, Jesus Christ.
Yeah.
You can't get out of your own way.
Yeah.
And unfortunately, we've been watching and that's kind of been like a subplot of this whole season is Carl,
Carl unfortunately developing a bad friend portfolio when it comes to Kyle.
He's just another reason.
He's just waking up to it.
Yeah.
And unfortunately, this is just like the head of everything.
It just completely popped up.
There's been a lot of underlying issues when it comes to their friendship.
You can go back to the investment.
You can go back to the way that Kyle is just behaving all season.
He's not using car.
Like the conversation turns later into, well, you never invite me to things.
It's like, why would he?
Couldn't believe that.
on him to do those things.
So again, like, it's just showing this, this friendship and lack thereof for what it is.
And this is just another reason.
And this is a very big reason.
This is something that's very near and dear to Carl's heart.
So the fact that Kyle just completely glossed over it and ended up posting for Lindsay's
birthday, like the day after, which is crazy.
And again, we'll get into all that shit later when it comes to Kyle's reasoning for all
those things.
It's tough.
I mean, Carl is now in a very tough place with Kyle because not only is,
he not good at broaching the subject about Kyle being a good friend, but also he knows that
Kyle's going through a lot between love or boy, between his marriage.
So that adds more reasoning to, I don't know if I want to talk to him about this.
I don't know what kind of Kyle I'm going to get.
Is he going to understand where I'm coming from, or is he immediately going to dismiss it
because he's got all these things going on?
I don't know, but going over to the other room with Kyle and West, weird situation.
I mean, West obviously put Kyle into his place last week when it came to Amanda, which
looks a lot different.
Now, next, he was defending his girlfriend.
Yeah.
First thing I noticed, very weird, very odd that they even left this in there.
But I know what the fuck's going on.
West walks into the bedroom, looks at Kyle and goes, oh, what do you up to you getting changed?
I'll help you get changed and gestures towards the bathroom.
Now, if you're a student of Summerhouse, you've gone through the pool house, you've gone through the bathrooms.
There's no cameras in these places.
I thought at first, all right, maybe they're going to like kind of clear the
about something real quick that they don't want on camera.
No, it was a little one-off, boop, boop, boop.
To me, that's...
Air conditioning.
To me, yeah, to me, that is I got back from Italy and I didn't have enough time to meet up
with my guys, so I need to get a bag.
Kyle, you got me?
And look, this is all legend, but this is behavior I've seen before.
I'm very familiar with.
Yeah, a thousand percent.
That's what that was.
That's a little exchange like, oh, yeah, I didn't do it.
Okay, yeah, you got me cool.
Great.
All right, now we can move on with what we want to do.
And you can look at this two ways.
You can ignore all the current events.
West sitting down with Kyle just to give him a heads up.
Hey, Carl's pretty pissed to you.
He was talking about it.
We all know what's going on here.
You're going to want to clear the air.
And when Kyle starts, I'm not even going to like, obviously we're not giving West props for having this conversation.
But when Kyle starts talking about this, he starts going into that defensive mode.
Stressing because I had an important call.
I was doing laundry.
I had to pack.
And like West, rightfully so, stops him right there.
Like, dude, like this can, and he's wrong, obviously, but he's like, this can be over in like two minutes if you just say you're sorry.
And you completely forgot it.
It completely slipped your mind.
And it's your bad.
You should have reached out to him.
And then ask him how he's feeling.
That is the right approach.
Kyle's starting with, I just have so much shit going on.
And I was running around all day.
And I had meetings about this with my failing company.
And I had to do laundry before the weekend.
No, nope, nope, nope.
You posted for Lindsay's birthday that shows that you had time to do something.
and later when we talk about it and you say,
well, you know how Lindsay is.
If you don't post, she gets upset about it.
She remembers when you post and she remembers when you don't post.
That's crazy because your friend is right in front of you saying,
hey, man, it hurt my feelings that you didn't reach out to me
about the anniversary of my brother's passing.
You go on to say, well, Lindsay gets butt hurt if I don't post for her birthday.
Not comparable.
So don't go down that path.
And you can already see where Kyle is.
And again, it just kind of gives you more evidence.
Like he's not a good friend.
I know you've got shit going on.
Everybody's got shit going on.
That's my thing. Carl's,
Carl's battling with a sobriety every single fucking day.
This is one of the hardest days of the year for Carl.
And you can't reach out to him,
but you can post for Lindsay's birthday.
Like,
don't go down that road.
Just apologize.
And yeah,
you're going to have a deeper conversation,
which other people aren't really privy to.
But just apologize for that and ask him how he's doing and say it won't happen again
or something along those lines.
And of course,
he's going to spin it.
Yep.
And,
you know,
it always,
it always makes me so proud.
when you speak on sobriety as a sobriety ally
because you are very well learned on the topic now
so it makes me happy.
But yes, to your point,
like trying to compare those two things.
One, it's an everyday struggle for Carl
and he's going to allude to that
and we got scenes from next week.
But a bigger part of this is that his brother
passed away from an overdose.
So like there's so many layers to this thing.
So for him to bring it back to and say laundry,
And that's what Wes says.
Please don't say laundry to him.
And it's like, yeah, dude, like, Kyle has a very, very strange way of rationalizing in his own head immediately when he fucks something up.
It's like, well, I'm busy.
It's like, look, Carl is launching soft bar.
You don't think he's got a million things going on?
You don't think he's stressed out.
Everybody has work stress across the board.
Ask Shooter about yesterday.
I was pulling my fucking hair out.
but you don't get to use that as an excuse for being a bad friend and husband.
I'll take it to the other side of it.
Like that's just not a good excuse.
So Carl's every right to be pissed off.
And, you know, he's really starting to open his eyes to the imbalance of this friendship.
He's like, you know, the first thing he would grab of this house is on fire is the fucking DJ equipment.
Yep.
And when it's all said and done, I love the line from Carl where he's like, if I'm not your
friend, then who the fuck do you have? Who do you have without me? Like, I think that's the best way to put it.
Like, look, I'm sure you have a million quote unquote friends, Kyle, loosely using that term.
Carl's been there. Even with all your stupid bullshit, all of the lover boy drama with Carl,
watching you with Amanda for years. Still, this guy's been there. And on the one day that he really
needs you to show up, you whiff. And then you're going to go talk.
to him later and make it worse.
It was just, it sucked.
And, like, Carl's like, I know how Amanda feels now.
I was like, ooh, fuck.
Yeah, that cut deep.
Big time.
Now, we're getting ready to go golfing.
And, you know, Bailey's putting the vibes out.
She's going fishing for Carl tonight.
And I like it.
I hope we get a good, we did get a little interaction with him at the golf course.
I want, or the driving range.
I want some more, hopefully.
But, you know, there, I'm not sold on her yet.
that, you know, she's like, I don't know yet.
I don't know.
We'll see.
But anyhow, let's go golfing.
And everyone's having fun.
We're split up.
We're doing mini golf on one side.
We're in the driving range on the other.
And Carl and Kyle go to have a conversation.
And Kyle's like, look, Wes gave me a little bit of a heads up.
And first and foremost, I want to apologize.
I'm glad that he took ownership out of the gate.
He doesn't hold on to it, unfortunately.
but in the beginning he's like, you know, I have no excuse.
I spaced sort of in the story of my summer.
I've been letting you down.
It started to turn into what was me.
And I was like, stop, stop it.
You're not the victim here.
You fucked up.
It goes to show you that like if the West conversation with Kyle didn't happen,
this is exactly what we would expect.
We would expect him to spin it into a woe was me to spin it into a,
I've got so much on my plate right now.
I completely spaced on it.
And it's not going to turn into a quick apology.
It's going to turn into, dude, I've got so much going on.
Like my company's in debt.
I've got this going on.
If that conversation with West didn't happen, that's what we would expect right away.
It goes to show you that even when somebody gives Kyle a heads up, like, hey, man, don't
fucking do that.
You can make this a pretty quick apology.
You can sit down with Carl, hear him out, and then move forward and start working on
other shit.
It doesn't matter.
He's still going to do this.
Because when he's approached, and look, I know Carl and Kyle have been friends for a very long time,
so it is hard to break habits.
This is a terrible habit to have in the first place.
You shouldn't do this for somebody like Carl who has shown so much growth, so much change,
he's become such a better person, he's become a better friend, he's done everything all around.
You're still the same guy.
You're still going to do this.
And Carl's going about it.
And I know, you know, if he gets to his confessional, he's like, I have to get better at talking to Kyle about these types of things.
It's hard to watch.
He frees us up so hard.
It is tough.
And look, I'm happy that that confessional was put in there because at the time, you always forget.
You're always just what Carl to just kind of talk over Kyle and be like, dude, enough.
I don't want to hear about this shit and walk away from him and say fuck you to him.
And he just doesn't have it in him to do that, especially with Kyle.
Kyle's a soft part when it comes to everything with Carl at the end of the day.
But again, like, it's just so tough to watch because we had the warning.
You had the setup.
You don't do any of the talking.
you just say sorry and he's still going to do the same thing.
It's come on, man.
You don't deserve Carl as a friend.
No, Carl's too good for you is what I get from this.
And as they're going back and forth, he's like, you know, I'm striking.
I can't be the CEO and the husband and the friend and this and that and the other.
It's like then make a fucking adjustment somewhere, dude.
Like you had the same excuse year after year after year.
At some point, you have to adjust something or else I don't feel bad.
like the lack of adjustment shows me that you don't really care you're still selfish and you're
still worried about yourself you're trying to do things the same way it's not fucking working
i appreciate that he's like look if i did something that pissed you off i want you to let me know
like if you find the words this weekend come up and tell me like don't hold back i'm like all right
at least he said that but that doesn't give me a lot of confidence though because we know we're
going to see a blow up between the two of them or carl's chasing him out the front door so that
Yeah.
In my head, I'm like, okay, well, Carl probably finally drop the hammer and Kyle's not
going to take it well because he's probably too fucked up.
And he claps back at him, which gets back to square one.
And I don't like, I know Kyle needs Carl as a friend because he doesn't have anybody else.
I'm very confident that Carl needs Kyle.
And it could not be for, for good reasons, it could be that he's just used to depending on
him.
That friendship is very important in Carl's life all around.
for his sobriety, for everything.
So that's what I get worried, because I'm like, oh, man, this falling out would be very
detrimental to Carl's well-being, and not in any way, shape, or form am I implying that
he would relapse?
That's not what I'm saying even remotely.
I'm just saying it would be a big hurdle for him to lose this friendship because it's
a very important friendship to him.
And I think that's what really makes me sad watching.
Kyle doesn't have the same energy that Carl has for Kyle.
And I just wanted to be reciprocated.
It's like watching a relationship where, you know, the guy is all in and the girls and give a shit or vice versa.
It's just, it's a bummer.
And every time, every time, I got a lot going on.
Fuck you, bro.
We all have a lot going on.
Stop.
Come on.
Leave it alone.
Like, absolutely.
But yeah, I mean, the episode pretty much ends.
And it's a bit of a cliffhanger because what the fuck.
Ben grows some balls and goes over to Amanda, who was.
shocked to hear
hey can we go
have a conversation
can I pull you for a quick chat
he pulls a love island on her what you don't think
that Amanda was shocked
oh no no no I was gonna ask you
that reaction was her face
dropped it plummeted I was like
what do you what do you what happened
interaction now like since we know
what's going on you can go back to last week
when Lindsay comes over to Amanda
and says so I
heard something about you
and I heard something about what's going on
and she was like, what?
And looks at Sierra, and she's just waiting for Sierra to drop the bomb.
So yes, I mean, it's fully convincing that she's doing something.
Maybe it's not with West, but she's doing something nefarious or something that she doesn't want out there.
Obviously, we're all going to point and look and just say, yeah, she's hooking up with West and she doesn't want anybody know about it.
But it could be anything.
It could be it could be Ben.
It could be everything involved in what's going on currently with their marriage and their separation and her potentially hooking up with somebody else.
that she doesn't want out there, that she doesn't want to talk about.
And she hopes that nobody brings up on camera, especially.
This was another one of those instances.
Ben just saying, hey, I got to pull you for a quick chat.
She's like, what?
Panic, throttle.
Okay.
Yeah, I guess so.
And I think honestly, I think she was relieved when Ben starts and starts talking about,
well, you know, Sabrina was at that party.
And it's just at the very end of that party, I just got to talk to you about something.
Why would you say that to Sabrina?
of why would you imply that he's that I'm in love with you?
It's going to make her feel some type of way.
It's going to make her feel like, oh, she's, or he's in love with her, but he's supposed
to be in love with me.
What's this all about?
And I don't want those feelings.
I just don't understand why you would say that.
And that's like, I don't know.
I have no idea how Amanda's going to get through with that conversation.
I don't either.
I mean, she's going to say, like, I didn't need anything by it.
I was trying to be funny.
I was meeting her where she was at.
there's a million responses she's probably going to try to give.
It's just for me, and yes, we're going to read too far into certain things that aren't things,
which I get.
That wasn't one of them.
Her face looked like she just got caught with her hand in the cookie jar.
And I agree with you.
When he brings up, sorry, Sabrina, there was almost a look of relief where she's like,
who, okay, it's not the big thing.
But then it gives the question, it's like, okay, is that about West?
Is that West centric?
or did something happen in Italy and you're like, oh, fuck, are you going to spill the beans right now?
I don't know.
I don't know.
But it is intriguing.
Now let's, it's been a while since we've got the questions, but let's get some questions here.
Yeah, let's get the questions.
From Petreda Desi, I'm definitely saying that wrong.
Thoughts on 100% expecting friends to remember important dates like family passing.
This is not like.
oh, it's, you know, the anniversary of my father who died of old age.
This is something very detrimental to Carl's life.
This is a huge moment.
Kyle is supposed to be his best friend.
This is a very nuanced situation, very specific situation.
Kyle should 100,000% remember that date.
That's that's not your run-of-the-mill family member passing away.
No, and I think that on top of that, it's just more so it alludes to their friendship.
and lack thereof on Kyle's part where it's like,
I think for especially dude friendships,
there's certain things that you,
you know,
we don't ask a lot of each other,
but in the moments that we do expect things,
like if you don't show up,
it hits a lot harder,
for example,
like,
shooter never forgets my sobriety date.
He always sends me a very nice message.
If you didn't,
I would be very upset.
I don't give two bucks if you missed my birthday.
Carl,
a thousand percent posted about his brother too yeah i'm sure he did come on yeah yeah like your birthdays
don't give a fuck doesn't matter yeah but big big like those kinds of things yes are super important
especially in dude friendships i'm sure with with women as well yeah uh underscore spammy bros field trip to jesse
solomon's show in philly yeah we're probably gonna go
I'll save that one for the end
That's funny
Let's see
From Donia for president
Does Ben confuse you guys too?
Can't tell if he's himself
Or deep in the Reddit threads of the show
Both
He's a fucking enigma
I think he's a dud
I truly think that he's a full-blown dud
I think his girlfriend's very weird
And I think there's nothing more to read into
Because we don't have the capacity
the mental capacity to do any more digging on Ben.
It's just not that important.
From Health Godder.
If you had to throw a summer house party, what would be your theme?
I don't know.
I'm not really good at themed parties, to be honest.
I kind of liked Wittner's literary theme.
That was fun.
That was a good one.
That was outside of the box.
So I'd probably do something like dress up
your favorite everybody loves and longs for those early 2000s HBO shows come as your favorite
HBO show from the early 2000s that's a good one I would do I'm classic jorts just good
jorts party coming yeah a good shorts party yeah I mean I would definitely have like full Canadian
tuxedo for that hell yeah brother um oh this is a good one from makeup LAB Bailey last year was
fired from season nine for hiding
her boyfriends. Now, Bailey did also
supposedly tell everybody in the
city what was going on at the summer house. That was
the problem, not the hiding of the boyfriend.
It's that she was talking shit on the cast.
But Ben was clearly
seeing Sabrina. I do think
that they didn't rekindle within the
week. I think that they have been talking. I don't
think that they were like full blown.
Because again, this is just for
my own good. I don't like it when people
are like, oh yeah, I love her. I'm in love with her.
I want this woman to be my girlfriend. This
is what we want to do and they've only been supposedly talking for a couple of days that's
total bullshit but i don't think that it's really the scene yeah bailey the the big issue was not
so much the hiding of the significant other it was that she was spilling tea about the season
before it had aired to her friends in the city that's what she got whacked for yeah um i'll just
handle this one really really quick and brackman man which summerhouse soho southern charm
members for another winter house zero none that show is dead forever that i'm not coming at you end
brack man man no but yeah no that show is uh awful is so bad that show stuck but also i remember we talked to
austin we didn't interview with austin like a year after that and he even said like it was a drag for
everybody that was on the show you're up there for so long you're just two weeks of drinking the whole time
and you think in the moment that it's going to be good tv and then after you watch it you're
You're like, this is awful.
And it just shows us falling apart at the seams.
And like, yeah, there's instances that you can turn to.
And I know a lot of people are going back and watching Winterhouse right now.
So there's a new phenomenon because they want to see more Kyle and Amanda.
West isn't even on that.
So I don't know why people are doing that.
I get going back and rewatching stuff, but it wasn't a good show.
I mean, we stopped talking.
We did like a couple of recasts.
We stopped talking about it.
People online stopped talking about it.
It was something to throw on in the backgrounds.
But it doesn't seem like it's worth it, to be honest.
Agreed.
Let's see.
Melissa Lang, do we know the current Carl and Bailey status?
We don't.
No, we don't.
But I think that they're still close and they're still friends.
I don't know if they're like actually dating or, you know, boyfriend or girlfriend.
I think we would know.
And it doesn't seem like it's that.
But it does seem like they're on good terms at the very least.
Maybe they still like hook up every once in a while.
This is a good one from Kieran McDy.
How did Steele feel seeing Carl's line from next?
week's episode about needing rosé and cocaine uh it it was tough to hear but also very relatable and
realistic you know this is something that people that don't go through sobriety or recovery you don't
really understand like we are constantly one bad day away from relapsing and that's what carl
was alluding to there it's like if i just did this i would be able to talk to him so it's
It's you have to literally relearn how you approach situations.
You have to relearn how to feel comfortable getting mad at somebody or having tough conversations
because in the past you lean on your substance.
So it's a two-parter.
It's one, damn it, I wish I could do this without needing something.
And two, you're always thinking about it.
It's like I tell a shooter.
Like any show TV movie does not matter.
I if there's a scene with drinking, I know what everybody has.
I know if they didn't finish their drink.
I can't not look at it.
So it's just a reminder like how real it is, how hard it is.
And I love that he is as open as he is about stuff like that because I think it gives
people that don't go through it a little bit more of a glimpse into like, yeah, it's one day away.
It's one decision away from a relapse.
So as always with Carl's handling, um,
of how he approaches sharing his recovery.
It's awesome.
Like I admire it so much.
So, yeah, I thought that was an interesting line.
I'll do one more and then I know you've got one saved there.
From NV Della is Summerhouse coming back for another season without Amanda and West, obviously.
This is not.
So I struggle with it when I think about it because I'm not really sure.
I know the way Bravo feels.
They try to capitalize on everything.
Look at Scandible.
They're going to try to bring everybody back.
They're going to try their hardest to bring everybody back.
But this is a different situation because they have to stay in the same house together.
Kyle is Summer House still.
I mean, he's still going to be on there.
So now you've got Kyle, Amanda, West, Sierra, who may or may not come back.
She's doing bigger and better things.
If West and Amanda get removed, I think you can still do Summer House.
It's going to be interesting, but you can still do it.
But Bravo's really going to push for them all to come back.
and that's where they're going to run into it because this is not a,
we'll force you guys to film together.
And we watched how that worked out with Ariana and Sandoval and then Lala and everybody else getting involved.
They can't do that with this show.
It's too much of,
and the other part of it is,
it's a fine to do fucking house because the summer house is up for sale.
So there's a lot going on.
There's a lot more nuance to all of this.
If they remove Amanda and West and just kick them to the curb,
which Bravo doesn't want to do because they want ratings,
they have something that they can work with.
It's just not going to be the same product.
It's going to be very weird.
It's going to be interesting.
And we might have to go through some growing pains.
If they force Amanda and West to come back and everybody else to film, it's going to be awful.
It's going to be a shit show.
And it's going to be unwatchable.
And that's what they have on their hands right now.
So we always say, you know, let's see if Bravo can do the right thing for once.
They're not going to try to do the right thing.
They're going to try to do the right thing for ratings.
It's not going to work out.
It's the last season of VPR all over again.
You saw that ended up.
It's just it's overproduced.
It's forced.
You try to make scenes happen that people don't want to be in and it becomes very obvious
that it's overproduced and it just, it will ruin the show that you loved.
Yeah.
Like it'll literally put a bad taste in your mouth of every season of Summer House after
the fact, which is not what we want at all.
I don't be shocked if they pause it.
If we take a year off is kind of where I'm at.
I could definitely see them within the city coming out.
I could just pause it.
And I know for a fact.
they're scrambling right now to one find a house and two map out a way to make it work.
But I would be shocked if they come up with something like season.
Last one here.
This one just made me laugh.
Medusa Graham.
Is this a safe space to say,
I miss the Bros and shows theme tune?
It is a safe space.
This is fine.
Yeah.
That was a time.
That was a thing.
If you catch steel on the right day and you send us a DM and steal,
and Steele sees it,
there's a chance
that he'll send you a voice memo
back singing the song.
That's all the same.
Yep, you got to catch me in the right mood,
but if you do,
he's 100% correct.
So good luck.
Maybe somebody will get a little,
a little ditty.
Nope.
Can't say that word anymore.
Nope.
Cougar Mellencamp is still cool, though.
John Cougar Mellon Camp.
Okay.
Well, that's all I got.
You got anything else?
Nope, all good here.

Johansson to Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino for over 10 years and over 700 episodes,
happy, say, I confused, has broken movie and TV news every single week. That's because I ask all
the questions I want to know, and more importantly, you want to know. Casting what ifs, backstage
stories, acting pet peeves, and much more. So whether you're into superheroes, prestige TV, or just
the coolest actors and directors alive, you're going to learn something in every episode.
