Bros & Shows - Dancing With The BROS: First Elimination Night (DWTS Week 2 Full Recap)

Episode Date: September 26, 2025

What's up Bros? We are loving this season of Dancing with the Stars! This week we have our first elimination and the bottom three had one surprise in there. All in all it was a solid week. Whitney Lea...vitt and Jordan Chiles definitely stood out amongst the pack. Lauren Jaregui was also incredibly impressive. It seems like we have a very capable cast this season because we could go on and on about most of the dancers. Topanga (Danielle Fishell) had a bum hamstring and we saw some serious GRIT out there on the dance floor. Who goes home? Who takes the top of the leader board? Tune in and find out! New episodes every Wednesday, wherever you get your podcasts. It is our second episode of Dancing with the Bros, aka Dancing with the Stars. And I am so gassed up to talk about this show. I'm so ready to get into it.
Starting point is 00:00:57 I forgot how much I loved it. I've taken a few season hiatus, but damn it, I'm so back. Whatever works, buddy. Whatever works. Super enthusiastic. Bros and shows. I got to have me my pros and shows. Bros and shows.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Bros and shows. I got to have me my Bros. Shows and shows. Oh, good afternoon, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Bros. And Shows, I'm your ghost. Steele Russell joined as always. by ballroom mcgroom what's up dude what the hell did you say ballroom mcgroom yeah that's you
Starting point is 00:01:38 ballroom yeah the second episode we're getting goofy and what a better show to get a little goofy than dancing with the bros so the goofy fun times a one hit wonder action why not and you know what the funniest byproduct of this is half of these i didn't realize were one hit wonders and that happens yeah like i thought lou baggobes was like the kind of famous no is it just no no that one i know for sure because i've i've thought about that before but when they did take on me which by the way wasn't even the aha version of take on me well no they played live you don't know that that's the band 90% of it unless it's a song they cannot cover the band plays each song live and a lot of times i really enjoy their covers
Starting point is 00:02:22 okay so that wasn't a shitty cover then i'm not gonna not gonna talk smack on that uh but i whatever regardless I didn't know that they were big I thought they were big one hit wonder yeah maybe maybe the bar was set pretty low for one hit wonders maybe it was I'm looking through every everything here like Mark Morrison
Starting point is 00:02:42 yeah with the turn of the Mac uh Bayside Boys remix Los Del Rio obviously I was surprising but I never knew who actually sung rhythm of the night so maybe that's what it is a lot of these are like I don't know who sings them so I just assumed that they had other
Starting point is 00:03:00 songs. Maybe that's what it is. I always thought it was Aretha Franklin I guess it's not. No, that is the weather girls. Yeah, well, sure sure it is. Found that out tonight. But yeah, the majority of them I did recognize as one hit wonder.
Starting point is 00:03:17 I think it's a good theme. I think I'm going to judge the theme every week. How about that? I'm going to get this theme a 7.2 at a tap. I like this. I like this stale. Jesus. scale second episode of the night baby and we both had long ass day so buckle the hell up it's going to get worse before it gets any better but one hit wonder week is our first elimination
Starting point is 00:03:41 night everyone's still here obviously going into the episode i had my bottom two uh cori feldman was my bottom two and uh andy richter was my bottom two but yep this is where the we talked about a little bit last week oh man we can't spoil i forgot about it with these shows No, I know, but now I'm pissed because now we can't even allude to who goes home. So I can't even talk about it until the end. Shut your hole, dude. But like, I don't want to do this whole thing again. I'll do my best to hold out until the end to talk about who was eliminated.
Starting point is 00:04:13 But carry in, I'll do it. I'll do it. I don't understand why people listen to us that have yet to watch the episode. And then we spoil it. And they're like, what the hell? It's like, what are you doing? Let's watch the show, dude. This is an incredible show, by the way, to watch the show.
Starting point is 00:04:28 the next day. I mean, live, yeah. When it gets down to the last couple of rounds, I'm going to be watching it live. Let's be very honest, mostly because I'm going to vote. I like to interact. It's fun. It makes me feel important. I like to watch.
Starting point is 00:04:41 But these first, what was that? Big player. Big boy. I'm going to turn my camera off for the rest of the time. But, but yeah, these first couple of weeks, there is so much filler. And it is an hour and 45 minutes long. It is a great show. to watch if you only care about the dances
Starting point is 00:05:00 and you care about what the judges say it's a great time and I don't even know what the fuck was going on this TikTok night what the hell's that what's going on there not thrilled about TikTok night not going to lie that's coming up next week I think I thought they said it was tomorrow I thought it was going to be a separate confusing
Starting point is 00:05:17 sometimes now I'm confused well like there's there's weeks where there's two episodes or at least in the past there was where it was like Tuesday Thursday yeah sometimes they do special events where it's like there's no elimination. Yeah, check out the sketch. I think I'm wrong.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Charlie DeMilio is going to be involved. I thought that was just next week was there. It's next week. Yeah, it's week three. Yeah. So it's not going to be like a one-off in the middle of the of the week, which. So what they will do is like Tuesday, they'll have the competition, Thursday's elimination night and all of the in-between is like the professionals doing dances, which I could
Starting point is 00:05:54 just do with- There was a lot of that tonight, yeah. Yeah, I felt. bad though because that one dude i noticed last week uh one of the new pros had some mega pit stains and he was oh yeah but then he did his dance last night and he's he's an exceptional dancer and he checked his pits and he gave a i was like oh bro you don't come on it's okay yeah it's all right like don't worry about the pit stains you look mean about pit stains i'm sure they were leave him alone he's a great dancer of course he's sweaty he's dancing on tv speaking of newbies though Jen Afflex, newbie, who I thought he was a little stiff last week.
Starting point is 00:06:32 You know, it's his first time out there. I think he made a resounding change. I thought he was so much better. And when the pro is better, the other one, the other one, the celebrity is going to be better. The other one. Yeah, the other fucking person. We're watching this for the pros. I don't care about anybody else.
Starting point is 00:06:49 It's funny because like I'll always, you know, and Dev and I talk about it. And you'll, like I said last week, you'll start to figure out, like you'll watch a dance big that was great and the judge was like oh you know in a fox trot you you have to do this this and this you didn't do that what was this why did you branch off and do your own thing so it's always interesting but i do try to like pinpoint what they're going to comment on i'm like oh her posture is just that's just bad posture i don't think i'm ever like i'm i'm gonna cut it on her what get your shoulders in line i just i i mean i know how i am as a person i am going to vehemently disagree with a lot of the
Starting point is 00:07:28 just scores when I feel like a good dance. But I'm never going to go as deep as talking about their postures because I don't know shit. Give it time. You're going to start to think you're a dance expert. It happens to everybody. And you're going to be commenting on is their leg straight? Is their toe pointed?
Starting point is 00:07:46 Is the kick high enough? Those kinds of things. Timing is the easy one to figure out because when people lose timing, it tends to go as Barron Davis did. Like his whole routine went to shit as soon as you had a misstep. I know. I was bummed. I always love it because they always try to throw these NBA stars in there and they're never really that good.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Amman Schumpert was great. Yeah, but he was already basically a professional dancer. That one I think was unfair. That was an asterisk. That was an asterisk. But yeah, I know what you mean with timing.
Starting point is 00:08:14 I think it was Danielle Fischel who at the very end of the dance tried to slide under her partner's legs. Got stuck. I got caught up a little bit. She's playing with a bum hammy, dude. I know, dude. I love that. That's such grit and you got to have it. You got to have it in the showbiz, you know.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Grit in the ballroom. She's wearing body makeup to cover up the bruising from deep tissue massages. Hell yeah. That's so cool. So cool. But let's let's start off because there's an interesting factor here, especially this season, especially with social media now being what it is. And I feel like obviously social media has been massive for a long time.
Starting point is 00:08:54 TikTok's been massive. I feel like in the past two years has taken on a whole different. life. Alex Earl is one of the biggest stars on the planet, right? Massive following from every, I don't know a lot about her. Everything I've heard is, is really nice things. I've heard she's like a great person. So that's cool. I love that. I mean, she spends a lot of time in Miami. She lives in Miami. She spends a lot of time clubbing. She's still like, I think she's only a 22 or something. So it checks out. But she pretty much lets you in on every little detail of her life. And she's dating Braxton Berrios, who is now of the Houston Tech.
Starting point is 00:09:27 i forgot about that didn't he cheat on his girlfriend were there or something i don't believe that was the same one there was another thing floating around with danny am and dola that's which something weird as we know from NFL the uh the shorter white slot receivers are all the same person danny woodhead uh daddy would have a running back i was going to say julian edelman uh oh that's what i was trying to say Danny woodhead but he would go in the slot hold on he would go in the slot and he was he was a receiving running back don't do that to me it's not a crazy plug there i mean you could have gone oh shut out of earnest or something but whatever we're not going down this path we'll be here for a long time anyway Alex earl and
Starting point is 00:10:16 val they are dancing to mombo number five they're doing the jive to mobbo number five how about that i thought it was a great dance i think that she is very good I think she's got, you know what she has? Obviously, she has. The it factor? Star power. Yeah. Yeah, I knew you were going to do that.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Uh-huh. That's plays. And like that goes back to what I was saying, though. With the following that she has, is she ever going to go home because this is a vote-based show. It's a vote-based show, but there's got to be and they're going to have to make a contingency for that exact thing. Because if she falls or stumbles or has a terrible night and she's still, and I know, you know, at the ends. They do the voting, but they don't really do it in any particular order. I do think that the scores for the judges should heavily outweigh the fan vote. I'm not even saying, don't go 50-50.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Give me 75-25. I think that's fair. That way you do have a pretty good product because if we're watching somebody, and I'm not saying it's Alex, obviously, because I think she did a great job. If we're watching somebody who's just got a great online following and a lot of people that are voting, we're going to have ourselves a American Idol situation in like season one, season two where they're just voting for their favorites or they're voting for the hot guy you can't fucking sing. I don't want to be in that situation.
Starting point is 00:11:35 I don't think we'll get there. At the end, you'll see, like the finalists are always incredible dancers. And Alex Earle's a great dancer. So it's not like she needs her, but that's where it's interesting. It's millions of followers that are going to vote.
Starting point is 00:11:50 She's comfortable in front of the camera too. I mean, there's a lot of these people are, actors, actresses, you know, like a gymnast, and we'll get to Jordan Childs at a couple minutes. But those types of people that are used to performing in front of crowds or used to being in front of a live camera, I think they're going to be a little bit more loose.
Starting point is 00:12:06 They're going to be a little bit more open and fluid versus somebody who's, you know, maybe a stage actor. That doesn't really have to deal with that stuff. It doesn't really have to do a whole lot because they can just do another take. Can't do another take on Dance with Stars. You can't do another take on stage. You're live in a audience. I didn't mean like real live stage act oh you mean like like in front of a live audience kind of stage
Starting point is 00:12:28 I didn't even that like friends yeah yeah yeah something like that was that even a live audience did they yes it was I tried to do you sure it wasn't a laugh track no I'm positive 100% positive watch the final episode it's so sad they walk out in front of the crowd everyone's crying everyone's clapping oh what a show I never got into friends I know and I hate you for it but we don't need to go down that path either let's get to daniel or sorry yeah daniel officials next well let's go over her scores she got trip sevens trip sevens i have an issue i have an issue with the scoring they need to enter into the point system seven point this seven there is no way that some of these dances got similar scores and i think that's a big issue i think that we're also giving out too high
Starting point is 00:13:14 of numbers too early on i understand that a seven now is very different than a seven in like four weeks. They take on much more emphasis. At the same time, we're handing out too many high numbers because then you see a really good dance and they get the same score as somebody that's stumbled or somebody that's timing. It doesn't make sense to me. You can't go two sixes and a seven for a good dance and two sixes and a seven for a bad dance. So I think two things to take away from the scoring for this episode because I did that in the first week. Sevens across the board were pretty much the you did a good job and last week it was you know six is across the board you did a good job and you get an eight in there or seven in there whatever this week it seems like it was sevens um
Starting point is 00:13:55 i look i i think i think it's going to change week to week like you said i think at a couple of weeks it's going to be a little different you're going to get some dines and mixed in there but they are kind of ticking up a little bit more and maybe they'll tick down too i think they need to be a little bit more critical that's what i'm saying if you get somebody like an andy rickter out there who's doing his best, but he's not a good dancer. Don't just give him a six because you feel bad for the guy. Don't give him a six because you want him to have a good score. Give him a frickin' four.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Give him a three. Be a little critical. We need somebody to be critical because it doesn't seem like any of the judges are doing it. I know Len would probably do it. But Bruno is going to have to start into that because it just seems like Bruno and Derek just kind of give out the same scores the entire round. Bruno gets tougher. He's been tougher in the past.
Starting point is 00:14:39 And I think the other part of it is it's no one's been eliminated yet. So you're obviously going to judge a little softer. I'm just putting it on the radar because I have some discrepancies. Dev, we were talking about it. She has some discrepancies with the judging. So it is what it is. Yeah. Just keep it on the radar.
Starting point is 00:14:55 What I took away was sevens across the board was a good dance. If you threw an eight in there, they thought that it was really good. I think there's some colluding going on with this judging. So, you know, it is what it is. We're going to have to deal with it. Yep. Yeah, roll with the punches. Let's get to, uh, Topanga, cha, cha, to the rhythm of the night.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Great song. Again, bum hammy. all right we're we're playing injured so i love the grit i love the tenacity she got out there she did a great job i you could tell she was a little like what i see hampered is hampered's a good way to put it like she's not as loose and i don't know if that is a hammie or if that's something that she needs to like figure out down the road i think she's got a shot to go pretty far because she's tapanga and every every guy that grew up with boy meets world is going to vote for Topanga. So she's got a good shot here to go pretty deep in this in this show. I also think she's a
Starting point is 00:15:48 good dancer. That's what I see her hindrance being is that as you so eloquently puts her hampered. Hampered. Yes. So I think what they see is potential. And they know if we give her an okay score, maybe the fans will vote a little bit better. And that hammy starts to heal. She's got some potential. And if she doesn't have potential, they'll find out next week. So yeah, seven six, six. 766 for Danielle Fisiel and Pasha, who I love. I love Pasha. He's awesome. Starting point is 00:17:41 Funny guy. Look, I... Guy that keeps everybody loose at the water cooler. There you go. He's that guy, right? And I love watching the show with Dev because she gets so uncomfortable
Starting point is 00:17:53 during the bad dancers because she feels, you know, her. Do you? I don't. I don't. For him, it's different. I will say it's very different for Andy if we're going to put him up against like a Corey Feldman.
Starting point is 00:18:05 When it comes to Andy, you know that he's just goofing around. he's having a good time. I don't really feel bad for him. I feel bad for the people that are really trying, and they're just not having it. Yeah, Corey Feldman. But with Andy, it seems like for the dances anyway,
Starting point is 00:18:22 they're just kind of adhering to, I feel bad calling it his skill set, but we'll call it his skill set. And they know that he can just kind of wink and kiss and wave to the crowd and do a couple of goofs out there and he's going to get a couple of laughs. So I thought he did pretty good, honestly, all things considered. he was cute i thought it was a cute dance cute dance is good i will say i did feel bad because i don't
Starting point is 00:18:45 feel bad in the moment because you can tell they're having fun like he's into it so i don't feel bad and i don't think that he wants like sympathy or anything like that when he's trying to you know dance on this competition no i feel bad when he gets up to the balcony and he's like you know i i i didn't think i wanted this but now i'm here and i'm like i know i just want to keep going like oh man you're not going to go that far do you one further i don't even believe him honestly i think he knows exactly what this is and i don't know he seemed excited he seemed excited he seemed excited i think he's seemed excited i think he's having a great time and look if he's having a great time i'm having a great time i love andy richter like he's always going to make me smile and i will always vote for him so that's where
Starting point is 00:19:25 it gets interesting when you see somebody talented go home yeah and somebody like andy rickter or a corey feldman stays and you're like now come on like let's not get too far in uh in the in the favor too early on just because they're funny or whatever but this was scoring wise like i said earlier with the sevens across the board good dance this was six five five so this was not great five is the lowest score that you're going to get we saw that last week they pretty much only gave out fives to people who didn't really do a good job when it comes to andy he went six five five so that means to me you didn't do great but you weren't the worst and we'll leave yeah but no i will not I'm not going to do this the whole time.
Starting point is 00:20:07 This is the last one. I don't think it's fair to Danielle Fischel, who got two sixes to then go with Andy. It should have been fives across the board. I know Carrie has a little software. You have to look at it. I think as we get deeper into this competition, you can nitpick the personal judge scores.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Right now we're at a total judge score. And I think that's how the judges are also scoring. I think they're saying he was a tick better. So if we're looking at 555 as zero, he was plus one. If 5.5 is Feldman, he's plus one. Correct. So he would be plus one. And if you go to Danielle, who went and I think she had a 19, she's much higher.
Starting point is 00:20:45 So she is three, three strokes higher than Andy Richter. So I think that's fair. All right. I can, I can, you can waylay me with that for no, but you can keep me off of the topic for this episode. What the hell can I do? I can way lay you. Waylay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:00 I don't want to, I don't want to waylay you. Do you want to appoint me? Oh. Oh, that was a different episode. Listen to Ross, look for that one. Let's get to Lauren Jargwai, who perfectly described by the judges, just mesmerizing. Like, when she, she is a very pretty dancer. Very capable.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Like, yeah, it seems like she can kind of pull things off. And she did a fox trot, which I didn't fucking know what a fox trot was, I'm not going to lie, but it looked great. It seems like it was elegant. She seemed to have all the footwork down. She seemed to put a lot of the work down. She seemed to put a lot of the work in, you know, she was very poised. Seems like she's happy to be there.
Starting point is 00:21:40 And I thought that she actually took a big step from last week. She looked a little rigid last week, not like terribly. You know, I would actually say, as far as people, yeah, as far as people that were that I expected to be really good, I did expect her to be very good. I think she was a little rigid last week. I think she took a big step forward and that's obviously going to come with comfortability. So I think that she did a great job. I think it was a very good dance. Yeah. And I think Bruno said, because I actually love this. They should do this for the entirety of the show. Judge three, you get one word. Love this bit. That was a great bit. Alfonso Rubio, phenomenal host. 10 out of 10. This dude's crushing it. Julian Huff, not so much. Alfonso. She's at a tough role. I mean, that's a really hard saying that because I had a crush on her, but like that is a tough spot to be in when you're up on the balcony. What are you supposed to do? You just kind of let the people talk. But you all.
Starting point is 00:22:33 also want to get your words in that's a tough spot okay fine i'll i'll lay off for now let's uh oh sorry sevens across the board for for lauren which i could have i could have thrown an eight in there somewhere i agree with i agree i would have given her an eight somewhere across the board um i also really like the rapport between her and brandon i think they do a really good job of complimenting each other and brandon just looks like such a sweet boy brandon's the man he's awesome I've liked him since he came on the show. He's somewhat newer, not like new, new, but one of the newer ones. He's great.
Starting point is 00:23:08 He's always in a really good mood, it seems like. He's got good vibes, good energy with Brandon. So love that duo, and that's important. The chemistry between the duo is very important. Sometimes it looks like they want a boink. Sometimes it looks like the best friends. You never really know. Sometimes we're rooting for the boink.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Sometimes we're rooting for affairs. If I sometimes, I mean, just once. It's going to happen. The sexual tension between those two is like the only way it doesn't happen is if she goes home. You're right, you're right, you're right. Let's go to Jordan. Jordan, Childs and Ezra Sosa, they do the jive to maniac leaps and bounds from last week. So much better.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Huge difference. I thought that she was hitting all the right moves. I thought that she was definitely more comfortable, definitely more confident. I love that they highlighted the athleticism this week, the fucking leap off. the stage was sick. That's what I want to see. Robert Irwin jump over his dance partner and jump off of a car. And they're like, that guy hunts crocodiles.
Starting point is 00:24:08 You're a fucking gymnast. Like, let's highlight some athlete. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. What? You are very much dumbing down how athletic you need to fucking wrestle a crock. Okay, I'm not dumbing it down, by the way.
Starting point is 00:24:21 Let's compare Olympic gold medalist hunts crocodiles. I don't want to take away from what she accomplished. because obviously she's an Olympian and that's all I was doing. I'm not taking away from Robert. I'm just saying they watch Robert do that. And they're like, that guy hunts crocodiles. You were an Olympic gymnast.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Have you ever seen Steve Irwin leap on a crocodile in the height that he got? And you know where the, and that's the difference. Robert Irwin. Steve was a little, you know, he was strong. Robert Irwin is sturdy.
Starting point is 00:24:53 That boy is strong, strong. I have a boy crush on him. Yeah. And we'll save it for when we get to his. uh his tango later but all i'm saying is they highlighted the athleticism which is exactly what you have to do it's not going to take you super far because at some point if all you're doing is like flips and kicks on the on the stage it's going to die down a little bit you got to have some good
Starting point is 00:25:15 dance moves but for what she needs i think for what she needed to feel more comfortable let's fix in a little bit of this let's show off your athleticism it'll make you feel a little bit better I think it was a good move. Agreed. And I forget who, uh, it's one of the dudes, the pros that leans too heavy on the lifts.
Starting point is 00:25:34 This is week two that he got dinged for too many lifts. Um, Carrie Ann got him this week about. Let's, let's, careful. And that's, that's what the judges don't like the lifts.
Starting point is 00:25:43 They take away from the footwork and the technicality of the dance. Same with like the, Bruno always hates the splitoffs. Len always hated the split offs when they just do something like random, like hit the fucking wave or something like that. Yeah. Or the robot. It's never landed.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Well, but Robert, you better be careful. It's your boy. I know, but that's probably, my team. That's, yeah,
Starting point is 00:26:01 I know, he's on your team, but that's probably a thing against him. Like, when they go off script is when they tend to lose some points with people.
Starting point is 00:26:08 And that's what Carrie Ann. I don't, I'll say that for when we get there. I'm sure I'll remember it when we get to him. But Jordan 877, I honestly could have seen two eights here, but I will say from last week to this week, 877 I'm cool with because it's an improvement,
Starting point is 00:26:21 but let's not go too high. I think she went sixes from, both of the guys last week. Obviously, Carrie M wasn't there. I think she got both sixes. Double six is mistaken. So this is a huge improvement.
Starting point is 00:26:31 I thought she was the most improved. Now, obviously, I'm still enamored with some of the people that were able to carry over from their performances and we'll get there when we get there. But as far as most improved,
Starting point is 00:26:41 I'm giving it to Jordan. Yeah, yeah. She was phenomenal. That was really cool to watch, actually. Like, just again, her athleticism is so impressive. But this one I did feel bad for. Corey Feldman
Starting point is 00:26:55 and Jenna it's just and like that's the thing and like look I know he's got a checkered past he's done some shitty stuff too he's also like he had the most fucked up childhood he was like one of the first people to speak out against Hollywood and got blacklisted like yeah you can go down that rabbit hole for a very long time not saying he's a great guy but been through a lot of shit
Starting point is 00:27:14 I didn't know he cared so much yeah I watched his I didn't watch everyone in between he really wants to be good And he really, really wants people to like him. And I felt so bad because obviously it goes how you think it's going to go. He does the cha-chat, a baby got back, leans way too much on the gimmicks, awkwardly sexual, uncomfortable even, and not good. Like, technically not good. And the judges try to be as nice as they can.
Starting point is 00:27:41 Like, oh, that was unforgettable. Technically unique, technically unique and unforgettable. Bruno said something that kind of stuck with me. that's what he says you've brought yeah well he said that but he also said something along the lines of you have delivered one of the best performances that was unforgettable that we will just always cherish and it's like Jesus you're just like right the guy off right away that's a that's a bless your heart moment yeah it was a we had fun it was fun while you're going home probably like that was and I just felt for him he gets fives across the board and you're like the fact I shouldn't have
Starting point is 00:28:21 watched i didn't watch everyone's uh build up scenes yeah i watched his and that made me feel terrible because i'm like god he wants he wants this really bad he's just it's just not going to happen uh but yeah you know fives across the board i think that was generous honestly you could have gone fours but like that's not hurt the guy zeros we learned that last week the five yeah no you'll see some fours they'll pop up later on and that later on when they're going to be critical but early weeks that's really all that means like thanks yeah well let's get to our first mormon housewife jenn aflick with yawn ravnik and they danced the quick step to take on me by aha i give her most improved you give jordan i thought jordan was good enough last week i'm giving
Starting point is 00:29:09 yon most improved so this is what i was saying before she i said this last week she got the short end of the stick she has a new uh a new dance pro obviously there's going to be some jitters on both ends that's not really the best case scenario for someone coming out and obviously everybody's always going to have there's always going to be one out there that's a new dance pro they're trying to make a name for themselves they finally got there they made their break that first dance is always going to be a little clunky it's going to be a little all over the place because maybe the teaching aspect all the practices you're not really sure what to do you've learned this was the lift guy this is the lift guy yes yeah so this is the lift guy and look I think he's going to get better from week to week but I think
Starting point is 00:29:48 Jen last week did a pretty good job for what she was trying to accomplish. It wasn't the best, obviously, but first week, we'll ignore it. This week, I think she delivered once again. I think she got a little more comfortable, but I think it was noticeable that her pro got a lot better. And he seems a lot more comfortable. And I think that helped a lot. He sold me. All right, fine.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Most improved Jordan and most improved pro. Yeah, that's good. That's a good synopsis of what happened. I'll take it. I think it's, you know, big when Carrie Ann's like, you know, I'm not going to you a point for yon but let's get it together bud no more lifts let's let's clean it up a little bit so yon's put on notice so i'm expecting big things out of these two next week uh and it was a good dance like she she genuinely stepped it up than maybe it was because yon did a better job but uh
Starting point is 00:30:34 let's get to the man the myth the legend robert fucking irwin and whitney carson they did the tango to move your feet and once again this was interesting i was curious how i was going to go much different type of dance than we did last week. Last week, as he says, yeah, well, last week was, I thought this was supposed, this should not have been gimmicky. You're correct. And it did gimmicky, because with the tango, it's supposed to be very posture, rigid, supposed to be shoulders up, straight lines, and move the heads movement.
Starting point is 00:31:09 It's very important. And they broke down too many times. If you're listening to this, at least one of us is breaking down the posture and shoulders and whatnot, you can't. I'll be that guy. You can't just have a whole episode of both of us just being like, wow, that, that dance really moved me. You know what I'm actually going to say?
Starting point is 00:31:25 I think this dance was worse than last week. I think he took a step back. I agree. I think so, too. The scores don't really reflect it, but I do think it didn't get, I think he got two eights last week. So it's, it's sort of the same. It was eight seven this week.
Starting point is 00:31:38 I agree. I think that. I think he got two eights last week. I think it took a step back. And I think it was, I don't think it was talent. I don't think it was anything else. I think it was the dance choice and I think it was the gimmick in the middle
Starting point is 00:31:50 doing the robot in the middle of the dance doesn't really look good. Now, if Andy Richter does the robot in the middle of the dance, I expect it. I think it's funny. That's a good time. Robert does it. You're a front runner.
Starting point is 00:32:01 You just keep on dancing, bud. I think that's an important note is what scale are you on? Knowing what scale, are you on the Feldman scale, the Richter scale? Oh, wow, that really works because of earthquakes. Nice. Yeah, wow. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:14 Woo! How about that? How about that? you like that anyway i like i think knowing the scale your own is important like who do you group up with who's your competition you're your top of the pack bud you're with whitney all right and she's stellar you key we don't need gimmicks and i'm glad that the judges check i'm like dude it was good but like you don't need those you're a good dancer i agree with you i think it was a step back i'm going to blame it on the style of dance yeah in the tango they'll bounce back they're
Starting point is 00:32:41 for sure they're going to do a lively dance next week he's going to be able to be himself a little bit more. He's going to do much better. He still lands again. He goes, what was it? I lost. 877. So good score. But that for me, I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it. You're right. Don't do you. Yeah. We don't have to do it. You're right. I'm not doing it. I'm just going to move on. Summer's here and you can now get almost anything you need for your sunny days delivered with Uber Eats. What do we mean by almost? Starting point is 00:33:54 SAP.com slash uncertainty Oh, hi, buddy. Who's the best? You are? I wish I could spend all day with you instead. Uh, Dave, you're off mute.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Hey, happens to the best of us. Enjoy some goldfish cheddar crackers. Goldfish have short memories. Be like goldfish. Let's move on to Elaine Hendrix, parent trap, and Alan. This was Mrs. Consistent. This was almost a spitting image, in my mind, anyway, of how well she did last week. I think she was a pleasant surprise last week. Now, obviously, she has a background of dancing, but I think she's picking up right where she left off. I think she did a little bit better. What? Do you disagree? I thought her
Starting point is 00:34:42 timing was a little off, but I don't blame her because that was a fast, that was a tough song. Very fast. I thought she was great, okay, and I thought her footwork was incredible and I could be totally wrong. I'm not a dance judge. I judge on feel, and this made me feel
Starting point is 00:34:59 the same thing that I felt last week. That's a good way to do it. I'm not that guy, pal. I'm the technical guy. I'm watching for things. I don't know what I'm watching for. You look for posture. I feel with my heart. My aunt is a choreographer for the New York City Ballet, okay? I know what I'm talking.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Oh, game drop boy. Do the Black Swan story again? Yeah, she's in it. She trained Natalie Portman for Black Swan. If you watch Black Swan, she's the one teaching Natalie to flap away. When I tell you to do things, you just do them. Of course I will. You know that you've already told this story before.
Starting point is 00:35:30 15 times, sure. Yeah, probably. But yeah, no, I thought it was very consistent. And the scores reflect that with sevens across the board, Trip Sevens, which again, in the judge's eyes, is, good dance yeah nice job come back next week and i thought she did great i don't want to like take away from her dance and especially considering you know her injury back in the day she had hit by a fucking car which took her out of dance so yeah i thought she's great her charisma is unmatched
Starting point is 00:35:56 like she's a joy to watch she's delightful which is so funny because i know her from the parent trap where she's miserable but the the real elaine hendricks is she's great i really really like her a lot i hope she goes far on this i think she can i think she's going to get better and better Like, that's the other thing. I feel like you can see with certain dancers, you're like, oh, you're going to continue to improve. And other ones, you're like, this might be your ceiling, you know? I agree.
Starting point is 00:36:20 I agree. Let's get to Baron Davis, who I was, oh, man, I was really wanting this to be great, especially off the start, because he and Britt, they start out to the summit or return of the Mac, phenomenal song choice, starts off so smooth. I'm like, hell yeah, this is so much better than last week. They go to do like a spin or something, and he misses. a step and everything fell apart it was so apparent and then he was rattled and the rest of the dance just kind of fell apart i we're getting into scoring again i don't think he deserved
Starting point is 00:36:55 sixes across the board i think it should have been five five six i agree we can get into the score i think the comparison of scores is where i yeah i think i think it was it all fell apart and it was so obvious to the naked eye exactly when that fell apart you could see the misstep you could see his reaction to the misstep. And then you can see how the entire dance after that was completely off. They just kind of stumbled to the finish. There was nothing good to talk about here. Yeah, it was just, it was tough.
Starting point is 00:37:21 It was really tough. I was hoping. I watched his prelude to his dance. It was awesome. The high school coach, like he, what a cool dude, both he and the high school coach. I was like, this is actually super interesting to watch. And then the high school coach was there.
Starting point is 00:37:39 You know, he spoke about him in the ballroom. as well a lot of nice things to say about them they taught him how to like care and like you don't be in touch of this i was like fuck yes this is great oh i can't spoil anything uh no don't spoil it let's will not every time that you're about to spoil we just move on to the next dance let's go to whitney which holy shit who knew is all i can say i mean i knew after last week but who knew that she could carry on a performance of that it's so impressive she's an awesome dancer It did not expect her to be able to perform the same way, if not better, this week than she did last week. It was a really different.
Starting point is 00:38:15 I think it was different. I think it was better simply because now we're like, okay, let's see you carry on that performance. Let's see if you can back it up. And she does, and it seemed better, which I didn't really expect. I thought there was going to be a little bit of a hesitation, a little step back. But no, looks like confidence has gotten to her, and she is ready to roll. She was full throttle. and I'm saying this
Starting point is 00:38:37 and if it sounds weird tell me to cut it I'm not trying to be creepy I'm really not this is like not I'm making it worse by trying to explain it before I said yeah right when she was like she was sexy she was she was really good like she was captivating she was all these things
Starting point is 00:38:54 that I don't know Whitney Levitt to be but amidst the dance I was in trance so was dev we're both watching like who the fuck is this the minute that she gets to the balcony and starts being Whitney again I'm like oh it's that's all out the window now But when she's on the dance floor, like, you can't take your eyes off of her. It was so impressive.
Starting point is 00:39:11 I just didn't exactly see that coming from Whitney. And again, I thought that she did great last week, but to be able to follow up that performance with another banger, it, it deserves higher scores, in my opinion. It deserved 8, 87, and it got 7, 7, 8. It deserved 2 8s. I don't know how you, she looked like a pro. Like, I didn't see any, not that, again, not a dance judge, but like, flawless in my eyes. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:35 Yeah. She was impressive. But let's get to the, uh, the lovers. Hilaria. Look, all the, they're, they're, I mean, Gleb is a great dancer, obviously. Alaria, Elaria, uh, her accent changed five times during her thing. I know. I can't with it.
Starting point is 00:39:54 But all they have going for them is sexual tension. Let's be honest. Dude, it's a good dancer. Glebs a great dancer. It's just, it's hot and steamy the whole time. But even in their practice. There's some chatter out there about Gleb. There's some chatter out there if you want to go do some digging.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Yeah, there's, you can find some things, but I will say this, you are 100% correct. You can cut that sexual tension with a knife. Yep. Okay. And here's the thing going for them. Like, it's not a crazy, impressive dance. She's not pulling off these moves that other people are pulling off. It's a solid dance.
Starting point is 00:40:32 It's good, but it's hot. and it's palpable and that's enough to probably get them a good score like that's really what it's going to be i do think that the novelty will run off at some point uh but i don't know i really have no idea i have nothing else to say about it it's really just it's just it's just sexual tension the novelty's gone for me now it's more like are they going to bang or not yeah no that that's the novelty that is the end goal i meant the novelty of the hot steamy amidst the dance now i'm just like did you guys hook up yeah what what's going on here you guys back but also like don't do that gleb alec baldwin's fucking insane like bad call i mean for
Starting point is 00:41:14 many reasons not just that ever seen a set of rust uh bleb come on let's check it out two weeks in a row two rust jokes i promise you all this if you're listening it'll keep going as long as she's on this show there will be rust jokes so there will be rust jokes all with the punches there all right anyway seven's across the board uh i could have taken a six in there i think it was somewhat fair because i thought she was good i thought she was better than last week which is kind of my barometer this week did you make an improvement or did you take a step backwards so i thought she did just fine and then of course you know everyone's crushed dylan effron with daniela they danced the samba the macarina this was the most confusing dance i've ever seen i yeah i i couldn't tell if it was good or bad i didn't
Starting point is 00:41:59 think it was both good i didn't really think it was that good i didn't really think it was that good And then the scores just confused me even more. I thought it was okay, but it was a very confusing dance. I agree with you there. I don't really know. And again, it's the macarena. So, like, you're not really splitting up and doing the macarena, but you do have some semblance of having that split up that, you know,
Starting point is 00:42:19 Len used to hate. I don't know. I think we've watched Dylan enough and I love Dylan to understand that he is a heartthrob, but I don't think he's that good of a dancer. I think he's got the like that's why this was he could get better I just don't think you
Starting point is 00:42:38 I didn't think it was better or worse than last week I think it was just like it was the same kind of the same copy and paste but like there's moments where I'm like
Starting point is 00:42:44 that looks great and then he does the same move like 20 seconds later and it looks awkward so I I agree I don't know we might be close to his ceiling but I'm going to take in
Starting point is 00:42:59 genetics his brother Zach Afron fantastic dancer just go watch the greatest showman wow and i think is it a technical thing or is he afraid to fully come out of the shell i don't know if it's i mean maybe it's that yeah he is a little timid so you know maybe he's a little nervy maybe daniela can get him out of his shell by next week he's going to make it at least a few more weeks yeah he's going to go a long way just because he's bill and effron and after traders everyone loves him but not That's a good point.
Starting point is 00:43:32 He got 767. I agree. It probably could have been 766. I don't know if we needed two sevens in there, but I think they see what I'm seeing. Can we crack through this hard shell and just be free out there? Yeah, there's potential. Well, I think we're all kind of waiting for it to happen. And if it doesn't have to be it.
Starting point is 00:43:51 You can't spell free without Efron. Well, yeah, I guess. There's only one E, two E's in free. well you still can't spell it without effron yeah i guess not yeah and then you technically let's get to scott hoeing how about that let's get the scott owing and yeah not really a whole lot to talk about here this it's boring i'm sorry i'm not being mean but like i'm bored it's just yeah and look he's a very likable guy i watched his weird dants do last too the the shuffling of who goes first and last like i feel like you should always have
Starting point is 00:44:28 have a heavy hitter started off then let's get somewhere into the middle you throw a scott hoeing out there a little pentatonic and then towards the end you throw in the dillon at the end or you throw i mean they did robert at the last person for last week so that was huge it was it was massive put whitney at the end she's a great dancer you know what i mean so it was just sort of like i'm not even talking about anti climactic like yeah it was anticlimactic at the end i'm like ah scott all right whatever i can kind of like tune out but i watch the dance and I got nothing. I was feeling nothing.
Starting point is 00:45:00 It was just, yeah, oh hum. It was fine. I actually enjoyed the cover of I'm blue. I thought that was, that was pretty good. I,
Starting point is 00:45:07 you know, he's, I like the, I like the guy. He seems like a good dude. Sure. Seems like a nice guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:12 But yeah, it didn't move the needle for me as kind of whatever. He gets sixes across the board, which I think is fine. You know, I saw some glimpses in there of like, oh, that was good.
Starting point is 00:45:20 And then he was similar, he was similar with Dylan and there was moments, but Dylan had more good moments than he, did where I was like oh that wasn't bad and then he did the same thing again I'm like oh that looked weird so you know I'm not sure I think we're pretty close to to Scott's ceiling I don't think he's got much further to grow here which is fine you know not everyone's going to make to the end but I agree like the I would have rather had ended because last week when that shit ended I was like woo yeah that was great I feel awesome like get you pumped up
Starting point is 00:45:52 for the season and I get it it's week too you can kind of do that and throw somebody all there at the end it doesn't have to be a heavy hitter but no i was i was more amped up for the elimination because i'm like all right who's going home that's all i really care about and the way they did it was very interesting obviously in no particular order six people get out of here i don't remember exactly which six go away we'll just focus on the last three to be honest i was surprised that scott was in that second group and not one of the bottom three i don't know if it's particularly the bottom three because the bottom three were Cory Feldman, Barron Davis,
Starting point is 00:46:30 and Hilaria Baldwin. I thought that Hilaria had enough good judge scores and probably get some votes at some extent. That's the Alex Baldwin effect. Yeah, it might just be absolutely not. We're not voting for her because of Alec Baldwin. But she had good enough judge scores that I thought
Starting point is 00:46:47 that for the first elimination, she wouldn't be bottom three. That's why I don't even know if it's really bottom three. Like the bottom two, obviously. But throwing a third couple in there was interesting that it wasn't that she like Andy Richter was one of the first people that they named to walk off the stage I thought it was going to be Corey Barron
Starting point is 00:47:05 and Andy Richter but it wasn't. I think everybody did. Yeah. Yeah, I don't think she deserved bottom three. You know, I think she did enough to hang around. That's where the show gets interesting with the popularity vote. You know, it's like because she's fine. You know, and I think that she, I do think that she has a higher ceiling than what we've seen. I think she can get better. Yeah, for sure. But the two to go home between
Starting point is 00:47:29 Corey and Baron Davis, they end up going home. They didn't have potential to get any better. There was nothing really there. No, Baron's chance, Barron's chance to prove that he could get better was this week. And he started off great. And I was like, hell yeah. And then we had the misstep. So it makes sense that they went. Obviously, I think everybody, if we're going straight off of talent, it's Andy Richter and Corey Feldman going home. Right. But I'm glad we can Sandy Richter one more week. Again, he seems like he's, you know, a fun, happy, glad to be there. And I always enjoy seeing him on my screen. So glad he sticks around. Our teams remain intact entirely, I believe. Can we read them off? Who do we have? I always forget. You've got
Starting point is 00:48:11 Robert. Did you write them? I have Robert, Dylan, Whitney, and we're going to have to go back and I didn't write them down. I'm not to listen again. Yeah, because I can't remember what I have to go back and listen, but I believe, I know I had Robert and Dylan. I believe.
Starting point is 00:48:31 I think I might have actually had Hilaria. I think you do have Hilaria. But I do believe I have Whitney and maybe Jordan Childs. No, I don't think that's true. I've got Lauren, Jordan, uh,
Starting point is 00:48:43 I think maybe Hilaria and Danielle official, I believe. Yeah. No dudes. No. No, I'm going with the grace of these. wonderful ladies they are phenomenal dancers they're going to take you i'm going to win finally i think i'm
Starting point is 00:48:58 oh for fucking four with our bachelor bachelorette's and all yeah yeah oh this is my time you won one of them i think i or no one was a no contest yeah no one was a wash yeah one was a wash uh so this is my time to shine i have i have a history with the show i know what i'm looking for that it's going to be somebody that we're going to pick up later yeah that's going to be the winner but But anyway, I'm stoked to be covering this show. I'm genuinely excited to watch next week. So we'll see how it shakes out. Judging's going to get tougher.
