Bros & Shows - Emmy Melts Down and Will Could Care Less (Southern Hospitality Full Recap)

Episode Date: January 16, 2025

What's up Bros? Southern Hospitality is officially a great show. If you aren't watching, here is your sign to start. In this episode, TJ is having some second thoughts about Michols after watching him... kiss someone else at his birthday party. Joe Bradley feels a type of way about Maddi being friends with TJ amidst his issues with him. TJ and Michols have a chat and Michols voices why the ghosting post kiss hurt him. TJ shares his own trials being gay in Charleston and while Michols appreciates the transparency, he puts TJ back in the friend zone. G Lily and Maddi are making music in a great scene. Brad continues to flirt with Lake. But the heart of this episode is when newbies Molly and Siobhan question whether or not Emmy pocketed their money after buying dresses for the staff at republic. Implying she used her free store credit instead. Emmy has a full blown panic attack that some may say was acting, but we truly believe that was a real reaction that had little to do with the dresses and more to do with her current situation with Will. Speaking of Will, while Emmy is having her moment inside, Will is actively avoiding her and sending Joe Bradley to calm her down instead, nice work William. That wont further the rumors that you hate your girlfriend. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Uber Eats can definitely get you that. Get almost, almost anything delivered with Uber Eats. Order now. Alcohol and select markets. Product availability may vary by Regency app for details. They've really hit their stride with this show. I think we've been watching it for a while. I think that I can officially say that this cast has figured out how to do reality TV. Yeah, I know that people mean it in an endearing way, but I would have really hope and wish that people would stop saying early VPR. Just let them be themselves. We don't need the constant comparison.
Starting point is 00:01:10 I know that, like, we did that, but that was when we were just trying to get people to watch the show just to give you a comparison like, hey, guys, did you like early VPR? You would love Soho. Now it's like, we're in the third season. What are we doing here? Stand alone. Stand on their own two southern hospitality. damn it i was
Starting point is 00:01:29 southern hospitality yeah i was trying to do something like that but you uh southern hospital southern hospitals there we go i sang out i think i think we got it let's let's just get this thing under
Starting point is 00:01:45 those shows i gotta have me my pros and shows pros and shows those and shows i gotta have me my those shows good evening everybody and welcome back to another episode of
Starting point is 00:01:57 Rosen shows. I am your co-host, Steel Russell, joined as always by the one and only shooter McSleepy. What's up, you? Uh, listen, we are the two hardest working podcasters out there right now. At least it feels like it. Yeah, at least it feels like it. We've recorded in the past 48 hours, have we recorded four episodes, five? Four episodes, but I mean, I think last week we did two a day for like three days. Yeah, we had a couple of them that went like really long. We always do our member show that tends to go a little bit longer so we're just pumping out content right now so nobody can say that we're not doing enough and look i will take this over the lull that we had with bravo it was when when was that like sometime over the summer when they just had
Starting point is 00:02:42 like one or two shows on it was like yeah it was like the beginning of fall like yeah we were excited that some things coming back had some high hopes for certain shows that we have stopped covering but other than that i'd much rather deal with this than have nothing to cover because scrambling is not fun. Knowing what we're going to do and actually planning it out is great. Yeah, it's awesome. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:03:03 We get to spend more time with our bros. We sure do. Or you guys or you guy. We get to spend more time with our shows, pros and our pros. Oh, you see what he did? Because that's the new name of the podcast. Wow.
Starting point is 00:03:18 And that's the best part is even through all this, we haven't lost our wit. So you can tell everybody. Sure, yeah. But we're just losing our mind slowly. But we're here to talk about Soho, which, like in the intro, this show has hit it stride fully. They know how to do it. It is an interesting cast of characters.
Starting point is 00:03:43 It's getting a little wacky now. You can tell people are getting comfortable. You can tell people are moving into different phases of their lives. And that's when shit tends to pop off like this. We got some newcomers coming into the fold, already causing some shit. but doing it in a I don't know how I feel about it yet I'm I was not cool and then by the end I was like okay I think I'm cool with it I don't know I'm like it's it's interesting we'll get there we'll get there I think of the opposite I felt like I was cool with it and I'm like oh all right like make it a wave right away good job and then at the end of it I'm like all right this is very forced but we'll get we'll get to that oh see I thought that yeah I thought the opposite I thought in the beginning I'm like forced and that yeah whatever But let's jump right in. Let's not waste any time.
Starting point is 00:04:28 We start out with who is quickly becoming a favorite of mine is Michael's and Emmy are having a little chit-chat. And on the other side, you have T.J. with Taylor. So we get a little crossover here from Southern Charm, which we always like when we get to see other people from the show. That's why I like this Charleston set up. I posited this in our Southern Charm recap. And after watching Taylor in this scene, I stand by. it. I think she fits this show. It makes way more sense for Taylor to be in Southern hospitality to me than it does for her to be on Southern Charm. Yeah, I mean, you can tell in
Starting point is 00:05:06 this scene alone, and obviously it's a small sample size, but she just seems way more comfortable. Yeah. Sitting there talking to TJ, who she's known for a while, and she's known a lot of people on Southern Charm, too. There just doesn't seem to be a place for Taylor. And if you watch both shows, obviously you know that it looks like she's going to play somewhat of an integral part when it comes down to the Southern charm drama. But seeing her here and actually just kind of like a, I don't know, just like a role character, just talking to T.J.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Just to get something out of him, something where we don't really see T.J. uncomfortable situations anymore. No. He seems to always be in a very stressful, high stress situation. He gives me anxiety, dude. Dude, I am so stressed out watching him because I don't know what he's going to say next.
Starting point is 00:05:50 And I don't think he knows what he's going to say next or what he's going to do next. He seems a little lost right now. He's just a little lost. And it seems like he. He found some comfort in talking to Taylor. And look, by no means, do we hate Taylor? I just don't really think that she does anything on Southern Charm anymore. But seeing her here, it's nice to just see a familiar face.
Starting point is 00:06:05 And that's where we'll go. I agree. And then it made my brain go to. Do you think that there's a dynamic in Charleston with these two shows where it's like a varsity JV scenario where it's like, oh, that's the varsity? That's Southern Charm. They're the A squad. Do you think there's any of that? Yeah, it definitely could be.
Starting point is 00:06:23 I'm sure early on, like in the first season, they probably would see those cameos because that's what they tried to do for us in the first season was give us a familiar face. Oh my God, look, obviously we know Leva, but here comes Shep and Olivia and all these people that you know from Southern Charm, they're partying with them. It's like, oh, okay, cool, like they know each other. I'm sure they did look up to them anymore. I mean, it seems like they're just kind of in their own world, and I really appreciate that because that's what we're getting now.
Starting point is 00:06:49 We're getting a completely different dynamic. We're not constantly reminded that there's so little people in Charleston. It's such a small town. It just looks like it's younger people having fun and trying to work, which is what we want to watch. It's a really good dynamic. Are they having fun? Is this fun?
Starting point is 00:07:03 I don't know if this is fun. But not everyone. No, we get a little quick recap of Michael's birthday party. And at one point in the evening, some dude put cake all over Michael's face and then licked it off and smooched. And as they were smooching, TJ's over at the bar, turns around and sees them kissing. And in that moment, TJ realizes, oh, shit, I think I caught feelings for this guy.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Now, he texted Michaels after the evening because they had that quick little chat and said, glad we talked and threw up the heart hand emoji. Again, I don't think he realizes he's sending all these fucking mixed signals. Maybe he does. Maybe he's just lost. I'm not entirely sure. I think he's lost. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:47 I will say this. okay because t j's like i was taking aback when he kissed that guy and in that moment i realized that there's some feelings there no you're just jelly you're peanut butter and jelly because he's kissing another guy that's all that was it's like now you want what you can't have i don't know if this is genuine and i will say this and i mean this michael's is very mature michael's has his shit together he seems like he's doing really well at his job i'm a huge fan of this dude you are 33 and he is 21 don't fuck this kid up because you think you caught feelings and you're actually just feeling a type of way because he kissed another guy in front of you
Starting point is 00:08:28 and now you're a little bit jealous don't throw him down some weird path because you're peanut butter and jelly that's all i'm not saying that he doesn't have feelings i'm just saying we've all been in this situation we know people in the situation they're out on somebody then they see that person or somebody else and they're like oh i want i want that person now and no you don't you just got caught up in the moment and i don't want some 21 you're all getting fucked up because of this it's the kid who got a toy for christmas that he didn't really like but then he saw another kid playing with it and then all of a sudden he really wants it that it's just it's just in our self it's in our subconscious it is just it's just who we are at the end of the day
Starting point is 00:09:06 but i will tell you one thing one thing that pissed me off why does everybody just keep referring to it as oh yeah there was a guy licking cake off your face they were fucking making out they were in full blown making out can we just call it for what it is they were making out stop talking about the cake i think it was a good move the cake it was a great move that that it was a great move good call but i think it softens the blow for tj because it's like oh there's he was it was a cake thing it was more about the cake than the kiss he wouldn't have kissed him if there wasn't cake so i think it's a way to make himself i agree with you they were full blown making out yeah good for them but yeah i think the cake softens it a little bit where it's like oh it was just
Starting point is 00:09:45 give it's more that's what it is it makes it more gimmicky than intimate because the cake involved i i and i also love what we're getting from michael's we saw him in the first episode he seemed like a straight buttoned up like type of worker who's just going to get after it and he's not going to let you lean when you got to clean all of those things he's going to keep his shit together by the second episode we're already seeing him just get hammered at his birthday party but he's still able to cut loose he's still able to have all of his shit together and still be a really good manager that people are listening to. But you could see him on the weekend blacked the
Starting point is 00:10:19 fuck out. And he has all of the same reactions. No, he says he's seen him drunk three times. That was the third. Yeah. We don't know how big of a sample size it is. But either way, he's 21. Who cares? He's able to go to work and boss these people around who are probably older than him. T.J. is definitely older than him.
Starting point is 00:10:36 And now he's on the weekend on his birthday, just getting hammered. I love it. I love that he's able to bring both worlds into it. And that's what I wanted to see. I was worried that we were only going to get the hardworking Michaels buttoned up yeah he was going to pop in he's going to do what he's going to do at work but we're not really going to see him cut loose now all of that's out the window i'm like this guy's got it this guy has what it takes to really entertain me and i love it yeah no he's doing a great job you even get the scene because
Starting point is 00:11:01 joe and mattie are discussing the night as well and like talking about the after party that's where you hear like oh i've only seen him drunk twice this is the third time i saw him drunk he got to the end of the night he's like i'm just so grateful for you guys and like i have so many friends that care about me. We've all had these moments. Well, you admit it or not, everyone's had a moment where you're a little tuned up. And you're like, I'm just so lucky. Look at all these people.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Yeah, they're very relatable. But Joe and Maddie start talking about TJ, which is obviously a little bit touchy. Joe's upset with TJ with everything going on, tried to have a conversation at the party. Like you said last week, if TJ's in a place where he can talk to other people about it and talk shit about it, you need to be in a place to have a conversation with Joe. It's either don't talk about it to anybody or you're able to talk. about it you can talk shit if you want but then you have to be open to the idea of talking to the person you're talking shit about yep but joe also feels a type of way about mattie
Starting point is 00:11:52 being friendly with tj like buddy buddy is what he calls it and i'm with mattie here where in last week she said you know this whole thing started before joe and i got involved i'm not part of it i've been friends with tj this is their issue to deal with now i might understand from joe's standpoint like yeah i'm sure that's frustrating that you're feuding with this guy and you see your girl with him but again i'm with her where it's like this really isn't her fight like she wasn't involved in this when you guys got into it yes and no uh look i'm okay with her obviously they work together obviously they have a pre-existing friendship but you don't there there is a line that you shouldn't be able to cross where you can't be overly buddy buddy you can't be too friendly with somebody
Starting point is 00:12:34 that your boyfriend has a major problem with i mean it's not just one like small little quarrel there's a lot going on here and we find out more from a little bit of snippet from all Austin, where T.J. is going around Charleston, telling everybody that Joe's gay. So there's a lot more to this. And it's like an onion. You peel back a layer. It's just like Shrek. You just keep on going. There's a lot more complications. Just peeling layers left and forth. Left and forth. Two and fro. We shall peel their layers. Left and forth, we shall. We still had our wits about us. I guess not. This is going to, by the end of this week, we're going to be making shit up.
Starting point is 00:13:09 That's what's going to happen. What did you say left and four? Left and forth. So back and forth and left and right is what I mixed up. It's that hard to figure out. Thanks for clarifying about it saying you didn't know what I was talking about. I figured like I had to explain it to you. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Continue. Are you done? Can I go now? No, not yet. Jesus. But I get where he is. And it's an awkward position for Maddie to be in because he's still your friend.
Starting point is 00:13:35 So you still want to be nice to him. And you don't really want to deal with it. You don't want to be that couple that, you know, if you're mad at him, mom mad at him. It's like, all right. We don't have to do that because, and look, if he had disresored, if TJ had disrespected Joe and Maddie together, then yeah, obviously you guys got a team up and go against. Oh shit, no counterpoint to myself. Now that you're saying that, when he goes to Maddie and questions Joe's, she shouldn't even hear it.
Starting point is 00:14:03 That's what, when he's like, once a cheater, always a cheater, she should put a foot down and be like, look, we can have this relationship, but you need to not talk about him. Like, that's, that's where we, there's where the, that's where the. line should be drawn. You're correct. I agree. Counterpoint. We haven't seen Maddie in an actually healthy relationship, so maybe she doesn't know that yet. Fair. So we'll give her a pass. Because in the past, she would have had to listen to everybody talking about Trevor and it gets her into hot water because then she gets pissed off, but she's really mad at Trevor and also herself and not the other person. So she has to figure all this out. This is all this is new territory for Maddie. So you know
Starting point is 00:14:37 what I'm going to give her a pass on all of this. You're not mad at me. You're mad of your dad. You're right. I hate my father. but back to the gay rumor so joe brings up the fact that t j's been going around charleston spreading this rumor that he's gay now i've always thought that this was such a funny thing when people call other people gay and they get upset about it like if you know you're not who cares like whatever it's any it's also not insulting to be called gay so that was always a funny thing to me but it's well what we get called gay usually my response is how about this we'll kiss on camera, and you can see
Starting point is 00:15:14 that, like, there's no chemistry here. The lack of intimacy there. Yeah, we'll try it once. And you guys can tell that it's just not it. It's not us. Yeah, which is fine. But in this regard, there's usually not ramifications.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Yeah. Natty actively didn't hook up with Joe for a while for like a year plus because she thought that he was gay because T.J. told her so. And yeah, you're going to believe, DJ. So that to hear that there was actual like fallout from it where Joe is in love with this girl and she thinks that he's gay, that was kind of mean from DJ to do that.
Starting point is 00:15:56 Not only that, but it's been going on for a year and a half. It's going on for a long time. There's some like throwaway comments here and there. Like you might suggest it. It sounds like TJ is campaigning against this. He apparently has been going around telling a lot of people. Austin Austin thought that he was gay for a long time a lot of people thought this so Maddie clarifies she she clears it all up look I sleep with Joe he likes pussy
Starting point is 00:16:23 all right pretty straightforward thanks right yep we can move on now but we get back to Republic and uh you know Joe and Maddie are just in their love bubble they're in the Teresa Jude ice every time we have to do it I know Louie love bubble and when you're like that you know you're going to let your boyfriend do some stuff like curl your hair i could have told you out of the gate that was a terrible idea and joe burns her hair off yep trying to curl it and he's like oh we can fix it we can fix it it's like no you burnt it you can't unburn it look i mean you got to commend the guy for trying he's just trying to help he wants to make her life a little easier he watches a youtube video the youtube video didn't tell me how long to put the curling guy on that would be the
Starting point is 00:17:08 You would think common sense might take over, but, you know, maybe not. Like just watching Joe, like YouTube, how to curl girls' hair and then watching intently and then be like, hey, I got this. Check this out. Starting point is 00:18:16 with emotional complexity, offering a dramatized look as it revisits the wrongful conviction of Amanda Knox for the tragic murder of Meredith Kircher and the relentless media storm that followed. The twisted tale of Amanda Knox is now streaming only on Disney Plus.
Starting point is 00:18:35 But they're all talking about about being 90s babies, which finally I'm like, hey, I can relate until like, Michael's born, no, too. And I was like, and I'm out. And I feel like, no, thank you for that. But I think we can all agree watching this season thus far. Emmy's a little different than the Emmy we've seen in the past, much different as we watch the rest of this episode play out.
Starting point is 00:18:56 I have my theories that we'll get to in a little bit. But it's starting to show up amongst the coworkers. Clearly, there's been discussions that are not will. centric there's much more will conversations going on than anything else but there's clearly been talk about her current behavior how she's acting and there's some weird thing with molly now from what we've seen out of molly she's fairly innocuous i think she hooked up with joe last year like briefly i think they and it was like a one-off and then joe was like well you kiss so and so and she was like dude we just hooked up this isn't that deep like that's the extent of molly's
Starting point is 00:19:32 involvement pretty much so she's clearly taking on a bigger role this season and And I've, I've liked whatever she's done. Like, it's kind of whatever at this point still. Like, she's not really doing a whole lot, but she's there. Yeah. On a cast like this, on a show structure like this, it's not that big of a deal. Yeah, it's not like we have a new housewife into the, into the manner that we have to like actually talk about. No, it's just another bartender.
Starting point is 00:19:56 You know, it's just another, another face totally. So she is trying to do something to make us more aware of who she is. She's talking, you know, talking about her background, you know, I do event planning as well, and I do weddings and this and that. And I'm fucking loaded. Yeah, and my parents are fucking loaded. Look at us getting on a private plane. That looked like a senator or some shit.
Starting point is 00:20:17 I don't know. I don't know. Like that looked like a very official. Every very put together rich southern man just looks like a senator to you? Yeah. We could do that game show. Yeah, sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Is he a senator or? It's a generational Southern or a senator Southern or Senate South or Senate with the bros That's our next podcast It's not doing so well in testing
Starting point is 00:20:45 But we'll let you know No But she brings up That Emmy's been pretty cold with her From the jumps And she's gotten there She equates it to potentially Working behind the bar with Will
Starting point is 00:20:58 Which by the way 100% That's it That's it She has to be so insecure about this relationship with Will. And the more I'm seeing from this episode, I don't even know how she's still with this guy. So I'm
Starting point is 00:21:11 sure that amidst the rumors and everything, like if she sees Will look at another girl, she's probably like, fuck her, like I don't trust her. And it's all, this, everything that she gets upset about, every time she points the finger elsewhere, it's all actually about
Starting point is 00:21:27 will. She's getting mad at other people. She's doing this, doing that. It's all about will. And And Molly seemingly tried to bridge this gap. She has conversations. She's let her know, like, hey, I just feel like there's some wall that you and I can't get past amongst, like, amidst that conversation, Emmy's alarm goes off to take her birth and draw.
Starting point is 00:21:47 She's like, oh, and like just blows her off again. So I don't know if she actually did. I thought that that was a weird edit to use because I'm like, oh, okay, like this happens. And like they kind of laughed about it. And then we just kind of moved on. And it was like awkward silence. And I'm like, I don't really know if there's a whole lot there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:02 You know, if she was, if she got up after that or if she sat there and had the conversation, I don't know. But yeah, like, did she get up and go to the bar to, like, get a water and she took forever to get the water so that she could take the birth control and then come back and then they don't talk about it. Like, I want to know what happened after that. Perhaps. But the only thing that, oh, go ahead. Yeah. Oh, sorry. I just had a cough.
Starting point is 00:22:22 But I don't really get it, but I do understand what Molly is talking about because we saw this last year. There was a bit of a change in that me. When she started putting her all. into going into the job and she wanted to get that what the fuck was that like assistant manager joel a gm assistant general manager a gm yeah she wanted that role she ended up getting it she was kind of burning bridges left and right she didn't really know how to handle it and then she was their boss and then she wasn't handling that that well so we've seen this type of behavior we've seen this type of personality before i we just really haven't seen enough for me to say oh yeah no
Starting point is 00:22:56 that's absolutely it but it does seem like i don't know later in the episode kind of paints a better picture for me. But up front, I'm like, all right, let's see what happens. Let's see how she handles these. Is Molly going to come out and try to do that again? Or was it just the one and done? Like, hey, we have lunch together. We didn't really get through anything because it seemed like Molly was pretty direct in that conversation. Like, hey, she's very to the point. I feel like you're the only one that I haven't really gotten along with. So I wanted to sit down with you and talk about it. Where'd that conversation go? I feel like we should have seen more to get better context. But I feel like the comment that she made after we find out about the wedding
Starting point is 00:23:31 planning and the event planning because mollie's talking about it in person as well these kinds of comments i fucking despise i can't stand them when it because it belittles what the person does because she says something about event planning and then emmy's like i was a wedding planner once like for a year and it's like no you weren't you helped out you're an assistant to a wedding planner you're the assistant to the general manager george kastanza like you're not actually doing the was that was that a dig or was that trying to be relatable just not No, it's not. I wasn't sure.
Starting point is 00:24:03 I'm genuinely asking because I can see it both ways. To me, that's just, I don't even, she's not trying to take a dig, but she's also trying to jump in and be like, oh, yeah, I do that too. Like I, to me, it knocks down what the person. And I think that's how Molly took it too because she delivered after that. She goes, yeah, well, I do it and I get paid because Emmie's like, well, I did it. I didn't get paid. She's like, well, I do it and I get paid. So she took it the way that I took it where it's like, oh, you're just trying to like knock down what she does or imply that you can do whatever she does.
Starting point is 00:24:29 It just makes it seem less of a thing. and I don't like when people do that when someone says like oh I do this and then somebody's done it one time and they jump and they're like oh I've done that before it's like that's not the same thing I just think there's a possibility that maybe Emmy's personality
Starting point is 00:24:44 it just isn't like as bubbly as everybody else's and she's not as approachable as as Molly is behind the bar or as Maddie is or whoever it might be and this is kind of like just the environment because there is also the the food and bev aspect of this where there's a lot of food and Bev aspect
Starting point is 00:25:00 Everybody wants to be friends, your friends with the kitchen staff, your friends of the bartenders, your friends with the VIP people up front. Maybe Emmy just doesn't really fit into that. Maybe your personality just doesn't really work out for that. She's getting written off. I don't know. Because it doesn't seem like a witch hunt later. What?
Starting point is 00:25:15 A witch hunt later. I can't wait to talk about later. I don't know if we have conflicting ideas. Have you seen the receipts? What receipts? Oh, big dog. You might be on the wrong side of history. First and foremost, I do not think that she used her story.
Starting point is 00:25:30 or credit to get. Okay. All right. Yeah, no, no. That has nothing to do with that. I thought that was just bullshit. I'm like, that's the, first of all, that's where my head went immediately. I'm like, to debunk this, let's just pull receipts or get her credit card statement, please. Like, that's ridiculous. Yeah. I did think that was a damning thing to say her reaction. That's what I was referring to as a witch. Yeah. That's wild. But yes, I agree with you. No, I don't think at any point at no point when they brought that up was I like, oh, shit. I was like, no, I don't think that's true. Also, the dresses were like $24 a pop. yeah like let's all settle down everybody anyway let's keep trucking we get to know more about austin he was uh in the army and getting ready to get deployed actually then he got diagnosed with some form of epilepsy so he got honorably discharged medically discharged and he's pretty much starting over and that's what he says you go it's a new start for me i'm excited you know republic i guess is is the peak in in charleston if you're working at republic that means you're at the top so he's excited to get going but we get to the night at republic and it's a little awkward between michael's and tj and you can tell tj's fishing a little bit he's trying to uh trying to
Starting point is 00:26:38 get back in there trying to get a get a conversation with micha's but i love the way that michael's just stares him down and doesn't give him much and he's like he's like yeah crazy he's like yep he's like so we should get dinner or coffee and talk is it yep text me like just cold-blooded i was like fuck yeah this guy this guy's the man and teaches like hey he's like too tired of the mixed signals he doesn't want to say anything more because he could get a mixed signal in return it's like yes i want you to be as awkward as possible because you are making me feel weird yeah it was so good he just literally stares at him i'm like good you don't owe him anything michael's you do what you want to do but we get some petties with the
Starting point is 00:27:18 boys all right boys are getting some pedicures we're talking about the birthday the boys being t j and michael's and it's it's clearly very awkward okay and as they're discussing everything he brings up the kiss and tells michael's you know i didn't realize that i had feelings until i watched you kiss him and that made me realize like oh i think there actually is something there i said to dev before we watched this episode i was impressed from the jump with how mature michaels was how he handled this just furthered that for me because he's like it shouldn't take seeing me with somebody else for you to realize like oh shit i'm actually into this guy so kudos for him for standing his ground there and we start to work through why this was such a big deal because you could
Starting point is 00:28:05 chalk it up as yeah you guys kissed and then he got out of the uber like it is what it is but you know and it's an aspect that you and i will never understand and people that aren't in this situation will never understand being a gay man in a town like charleston in the south it's a small town Not a lot of gay dudes around there. I'm sure it's a very, very difficult scene to come out of the closet. Michaels goes through his journey with that. It was four years ago, came out, and his dad was very accepting. His mom was not to the point where she doesn't even call him now on his birthday, which is heartbreaking.
Starting point is 00:28:38 But because these shows are so much fun and because we get caught up in the drama, like you forget about the aspect of it. It was like, oh, fuck, this all must have been really hard. So what we saw as, oh, yeah, it could have been a smooch, not a big deal. He's like, dude, you were my first gay friend in Charleston, my first openly gay friend. Like, this was a big deal for me. I'm sure there was some admiration there. I'm sure that he looked up to T.J. in certain ways. And then you get to this big moment where you kiss and then you blow him off.
Starting point is 00:29:05 And I'm sure that was confusing as hell, especially in this setup that you have in Charleston, where I'm sure it's confusing to begin with. So that was interesting to hear from Michaels. That made a lot more sense to me. I'm like, okay, so that makes more sense about the coffee. That makes more sense about his mixed feelings, why you're taking it a certain way. Got it. What I wasn't ready for was TJ's response and his journey with this whole thing as well.
Starting point is 00:29:28 And he's like, you know, my own experience in Charleston dating. I've dated a lot of by men. I've dated a lot of closeted gay men where they're not out. So when everything falls apart, I'm the only one that gets hurt and they get to walk away clean. That's been really hard for me. This whole process has been really hard for me trying to. to figure out who I'm dating, how I fit in, whatever. So I think that it's difficult for both, clearly.
Starting point is 00:29:54 You know, I think that TJ clearly fumbled the bag a bit and I was trying to play catch up. I do still stand by what I said in the beginning. Like you said, you saw him kiss this guy, so now you're interested in Michael's. So there's a lot of nuances to it. Let's throw another Shrek reference in, a lot of layers to it. Okay, it's a big onion that we're peeling back here. But again, from Michael's standpoint, he's like, being a person of color in Charleston in this dating scene, in the gay dating scene, I'm seen as exotic.
Starting point is 00:30:23 I'm seen as somebody that you want to hook up with. And in his words, guys want to fuck me, but they don't want to take me home and meet their parents. I can't imagine what that's like. And here you have a situation with a white dude. He's had experiences in the past. That tells him to be careful. His first chance to actually do something with TJ, TJ bounces after a kiss and then blows him all. so totally understand what michael's is coming from it's a convoluted situation but what
Starting point is 00:30:48 i respected the most is at the end of this conversation michael's is like you know what we can go back to the way it was how about that we'll stay platonic i'm like fuck yeah dude stand your ground yeah i mean i will say i think everything the tj's been doing is incredibly unfair to michael i agree to michael especially as again the 21 year old to 33 year old thing does play it yeah yeah it's so much and all the mixed signals kissing him and he the way the way he explains getting out of the Uber too and he's like, you know, I just, I gave him a kiss in that moment because everything just felt right. It felt like it was the time to do it and I just went through with it and I did it. But then you ghosted him afterwards and didn't talk to him
Starting point is 00:31:25 and you can pretty much just push them away. Now you want them back and now you're throwing out all these mixed signals. Everything you're doing is completely unfair. I get that you don't know what you want and you're a little confused about, you know, the age difference, maybe, you know, obviously working together. That probably throws a wrench into the situation. Fine. Whatever. But none of that is Michael's fault. You can't put that on him. You are putting so much pressure and grief on this man because you're unsure of what you want. If you're unsure of what you want, you have to take a step back.
Starting point is 00:31:54 You can't convolut things even more. And look, I like TJ. I think that he's a pretty self-aware guy. So who knows? Maybe by now and obviously after this conversation he has with Michaels, he's got a better understanding of it and he won't do it again. That's what the hope is for people that we like. Hopefully, who knows? but all signs indicate towards the end of this when Michaels takes that hard stance
Starting point is 00:32:15 and creates that boundary and says let's go back to being platonic we can be friends that's all well and good TJ's upset about it still well look all right dude like I know that you finally you just got your finalization like absolutely not like you put me through too much I just opened up to you told you everything that happened this is where I want to be this is my boundary you can't then get but heard about it you can't be all upset you can't I got to just take it and go, well, I don't like that answer. Yeah, exactly. I get what he means, and he really probably doesn't like it because he's feeling like,
Starting point is 00:32:48 I want to give this a chance, but you can't. You lost your chance. Like, you just have to understand the moment. My guy, you're trying to backpedal now after the fact. And again, if this didn't come off of the heels of him kissing another guy, it's a different conversation. If you went to the party, didn't see the kiss. And after the party, you're like, you said he looked.
Starting point is 00:33:09 great. Yeah, something like that. You looked great at your party. I want that's a different situation. Yeah, but that's a different, that's a different convo because now there's not a third party involved. Now it's quite clear like, oh no, dude, you're just Jones and for me. You saw me make out with him. So yeah, I agree with you. And that's what I said in the beginning. Like, let's not fuck up a 21 year old. He's, he's doing his job very well. He's in college. Like, don't throw him into some crazy relationship that you're not actually ready for because that would be really rude. And this guy seems like he's got his shit together but we'll keep trucking to what I
Starting point is 00:33:42 would imagine was one of your favorite scenes ever did you actually this is this was one scene with a song that I thought you might have actually enjoyed did you? There wasn't much of a song in there but no there was no I enjoyed I enjoyed the whole
Starting point is 00:34:01 I enjoyed the scene I loved the scene I thought it was cool because we're getting a different element and anytime we get G lily back involved which she is in by the way we talked about this last week i think she's in the perfect role now she is she is a star we can't deny that she's just not the star of this show she just needs to pop back and just float back around not jet setting she's at home she's not doing anything she's saving a lot of money living at home probably matt he said she doesn't do anything yeah i just wanted to get her involved to do anything she wants to portray herself as a jet
Starting point is 00:34:34 setter and you know what who am i to tell j lily what to do that's that's your life i agree if she wants to jet set G, Lily, we're not here to judge, but I thought it was crazy that they didn't whack this scene fucking DJ James Kennedy giving mentor advice. I was like no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:34:52 You have had so many reasons you'll need this. You have had like two months to get rid of this scene. It was so unnecessary. I was like, what are we doing right now? We're going to listen to him tell her how to separate life on the road versus life at the bar versus your personal life.
Starting point is 00:35:08 What are we talking about? He's the worst guy in the world to take advice from. Don't talk to DJ James Kennedy about anything. Don't show all of us at home, DJ James Kennedy, after we know what he just did. This was crazy. I thought this was a huge misstep by Bravo. I was like, how the fuck are you guys showing this guy on TV in a good light right now? That's crazy talk to me.
Starting point is 00:35:31 But whatever. It's like the real life version of Gordon Bombay taking over the underprivileged kids playing the Mighty Ducks. Correct. You're going to have this fucking asshole, coach a bunch of underprivileged kids? You're going to have this douche nozzle drive his limo out onto ice, a frozen lake that could easily crack and break and kill all of the children. But he wants to prove a point. You're going to invite Gordon Bombay to talk to Maddie right now? No.
Starting point is 00:35:58 What's worse? Absolutely not. Gordon Bombay or fuck, what is Keanu Reeves' guy in Hardball? Yeah. Gordon Bombay is better because the. end message is much better than what the end message of hardball is, which we have worked out together, which is a terrible message, which is if you keep gambling, eventually you'll hit the big one when the bulls cover the spread and you'll get out of debt finally. That's what that
Starting point is 00:36:22 taught us as children. Okay. If you coach a baseball team in the inner city and continue to gamble when you already have lone sharks after you, eventually you'll hit that big bet with Ticky outside of the bar. Yeah, that's what Hardball taught me. And it taught me RIPG baby for life. Yeah. Poor enough.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Sure did. Yep, I still get sad. But anyway, let's get back to the song. It's Maddie's first single. And I will say this, as far as I'm aware, from social media,
Starting point is 00:36:59 she has been touring doing DJ shows. So I will give her credit there. She's been playing some shows. I will say a lot of that has been involved with James Kennedy. So hopefully she has enough of a rapport now with the industry where she's still getting shows and all that, but she wants to
Starting point is 00:37:14 create a first handling now. Maybe she's headlining now. That would be awesome. Not very big shoes to fill, if you know what I mean. Are you saying James is a tiny dick? I just say it's small dick energy, but yeah. Yeah. No, okay, I'll do about that. Okay, but second episode of the day.
Starting point is 00:37:35 First things first, the guy on the couch took a huge gummy and came in to watch that whole thing. Did you see that, dude? That was the funniest part to me because I know the guy that owns the studio that's his boy and he just texted like, dude, you want to be on TV? And the guy was just like ripping a joint at his house. He was like, oh, fuck, yeah, man. And came and just watch this scene.
Starting point is 00:37:55 That part made me laugh. But the song is, I guess it's called I'll just keep popping it or maybe popping it. What would you name this song? Are you just assuming that from the, lyrics? Yeah, which are too much. Might just be popping. There's too much.
Starting point is 00:38:11 There are way too many lyrics to this song. I'll just keep popping, popping, popping, popping, popping. Also, too much. Look, the only knock on G. Lily, just go by G. Lily. You don't need G. G. Lilly vibes. Oh, is that what she says?
Starting point is 00:38:27 That's her name. That's really better than G. G. Lily vibes. Yeah. It's too much. Look, it's like the Facebook. It's the Facebook moment. eventually she'll drop the the
Starting point is 00:38:37 she'll drop the vibes we'll get there so she needs to talk to Justin Timberlake he's also hot water oh yeah don't talk to oh shit it's getting hard out here we talk to anymore Keanu Reeves you're always safe with Keanu yeah that's fair we'll just talk to Keanu
Starting point is 00:38:51 I can't even talk to Jimmy Carter anymore that's who I used to talk to every night you say prayers to God I say prayers to Jimmy I was not expecting a dead person that joke. R-IP, Jimmy. What the fuck? It got Willa.
Starting point is 00:39:11 He got my daughter. I need to find her. Willa! From acclaimed director, Paul Thomas Anderson. You can save that girl. On September 26th, experience what is being called the best movie of the year. This is at the end of the line. Not for you.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Pan, Benicio del Toro, Tiana Taylor, Chase Infinity. Let's go! Here I come! One battle after another. Only in theater, September. 26th, experience it in IMAX. You came back. Oh, hi, buddy.
Starting point is 00:39:45 Who's the best? You are. I wish I could spend all day with you instead. Uh, Dave, you're off mute. Hey, happens to the best of us. Enjoy some goldfish cheddar crackers. Goldfish have short memories. Be like goldfish. Here, the most popular,
Starting point is 00:40:05 fiction podcast of all time, which the New York Times described as what might occur if David Lynch was a producer at your local radio station. Welcome to Night Vale is a twice-monthly update from a small desert town, where the paranormal is real. Every conspiracy theory is true. We all have to get on with our lives anyway. Welcome to Night Vale is available wherever you get your podcasts. Anyway, it's nice to hear that G. Lilly's process is practicing. that's a good process they're only going to get better so keep keep doing what you're doing she's singing in the shower in the car she's singing any chance she has and look there's no way to get better at singing than just by doing it so yeah strengthen those vocal courts yeah there's nothing
Starting point is 00:40:49 that she like can do that i'm not going to champion so just keep doing what you're doing because it's great it's always good to watch so just keep being you but we get to republic and uh molly's talking to bradley brad and she lets him know she She's like, I don't, you know, I saw something the other night. There were some NFL players in here, and Emmy went up to them and said she was single. I believe what happened is what Emmy said later. She went up and said my ex is a football player. No, because you're still not talking about your current guy.
Starting point is 00:41:22 You're saying I'd once dated this guy who played football, but it's not flat out saying that I'm single. Yeah, it does kind of overshadowed. It would have been funnier if you were like, I believe Emmy with what she said later. They were actually NBA players. Because I started racking my brain. I'm like, it's June. This is Father's Day. Father's Day is the 18th of June or around then.
Starting point is 00:41:41 So we've got mini camps and stuff going on. Is it the Panthers? Why would they go all the way down to Charleston? I don't think so. Let's go NBA. I got you a little bit. I don't know if this is the same night. I was talking to Joey Bottles when I was at the premiere.
Starting point is 00:41:55 And he said at some point, Sequin was there with his crew and some other dudes that played. I think it was when he's still in the Giants. So I don't know if this is the same time or if this was the in-between before he got signed by the Eagles. I don't know. But I do know because as soon as she said NFL was like, oh, shit, that must have been the night that he was talking about. So maybe. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:14 I don't know. But Sequin was there at one point. Joe said he was like the coolest dude ever, which of course he has Sequin can do no wrong. But if it was NBA players, I have no idea who it was. The point is Will and Emmie need to stop talking to people at Republic first. Yeah, dude. They keep fucking each other up. But whatever.
Starting point is 00:42:30 we get to meet shivan she's a new bartender she's roommates with molly and we get more emmy talk this i do agree was a witch hunt this was bullshit because she brings up the fact that emmy is bragging about getting store credit at some store in charleston right this is the same store that she got the dresses for everybody at republic now what chavon is saying is that she asked everybody for money getting a discount at this dress shop pocketed the money and used her credit to get the dresses and then made a profit now the first thing that i thought immediately was there is absolutely no way that she gets enough store credit to outfit all of the girls for free at republic so immediately that's like my brain going that this is bullshit i don't i don't believe this
Starting point is 00:43:24 but did you buy it for a second were you at any point like ooh no i i'm always suspect when a new character comes up and they're starting shit right away this is why so so this is when we're going to need to to figure out where you started and where you finish because this my first interaction with chavon she's doing that i'm like bro do less do away less like yeah no i can't make a name for yourself but like come on now i thought that like the premise of it was interesting because it at least creates some sort of turmoil that we have to address. I am not talking about Emmy's reaction yet. That was different story.
Starting point is 00:44:03 It's a different story. That was going to take a bit. But in this moment, I'm like, all right, I kind of want to see how this plays out. I get it. You're starting to be a little suspect, but we can just break it down and be logical about it. Of course, she went to the store that she has a relationship with. She probably didn't use her credit. And then, of course, the first thing I do is, is anybody posting receipts?
Starting point is 00:44:23 because as soon as this comes out, this came out on Thursday. We had to watch it and go through everything and we're recording today. So we've had enough time. Somebody must have posted something. And of course, receipt, Emmys, M-E, X, or whatever card she used. And it showed every single one of the dresses. They were $24 each. And I just kind of wrote it off.
Starting point is 00:44:41 I'm like, all right, whatever. Let's just see how this plays out. But in terms of validity, I'm like, I don't think this happens, but I kind of want to see what happens. Yeah, I didn't buy it. My initial reaction was I don't think it was a big deal until it was a big deal. Well, I didn't, I just, I appreciate newbies coming in trying to make waves. I know that you have to do something to get a role next season. So I get that part of it.
Starting point is 00:45:04 I just thought it was, it didn't make a lot of sense to me. Because again, how much store credit is she getting? And for what? I imagine us to promote the store, like on our Instagram, but like she's not going to get enough to outfit and untie. There's a lot of people that seemingly work in Republic. So that didn't track for me. I'm like, there's no way.
Starting point is 00:45:21 So whatever. didn't I my initial reaction was do away less don't don't love the intro so that's where I was at originally but will arrives and he's talking to Brad now Brad goes to a confessional and it's like this is a tough spot for me because will's my boy but he's doing a lot of things wrong and saying a lot of bad things about Emmy this is going back to that that night that he went to Republic got hammered and was talking shit to everybody about Emmy but this is when it explodes because Chavon
Starting point is 00:45:55 and this doubled down for me and I was like dude stop like what the fuck you go and pull a use this term loosely but long time cast member an OG you pull her into the bar to have a conversation with her
Starting point is 00:46:09 and you immediately bring up the store credit I was fine with it I was fine with the conversation because look in this environment where people are already talking about it Molly's talking about it and apparently it just happened last night because emmy they kind of like i guess put two and two together and said well this is weird
Starting point is 00:46:25 she's bragging about all this floor together yes yeah she's bragging about all the store credit that she's getting this is where we got the dresses from it's the same store do you think she's doing this because i feel like the way that chevonne did it was you know i don't know if she did or not but it is a little weird molly is immediately saying oh my god that's so snaky i bet you she is doing that and it's like okay i like what when brad's talking to will i like brad's approach to that because we hear that Emmy's talking shit on Will the night before. We hear that Will is talking shit on Emmy. You know what? If they're going to talk shit on each other at Republic, it's messy for us. Great for the show. But I'm going to leave it alone. There's no reason to bring either
Starting point is 00:47:04 of one of them into the fold because they're both doing it to each other. So it just kind of evens out at the end of the day. I had no problem with Chavon sitting down with her and talking about it because it's going to get out. And then if it gets out and then it gets to Michaels or it gets to somebody else or God forbid it gets to Leva, then it becomes such a bigger deal. It's one, it's a good way to stay on the show. So applause to Chavon for doing that. But also sitting right down and talking about it, right that and there, not accusatory
Starting point is 00:47:27 just talking about what we're talking about. I don't think it was that not accusatory. What do you think it was? I think it was a conversation. It's not a conversation when you say, if I think someone's fucking me over, it's like, all right, dude, settle down. Like, and let her go. We do not see I die here. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:47:44 We're not going to agree all the time. But Emmy has a, very strange reaction to this whole thing. She loses her mind. Like full-blown panic attack, she is hyperventilating, she's screaming, she's crying, Michaels comes over, and she just has like a full breakdown.
Starting point is 00:48:01 I don't have words honestly for Will's performance. I was... he walks in and Michaels explains the situation to Will and he goes, and you're not doing that? Question mark?
Starting point is 00:48:17 Your girlfriend is about to throw up from anxiety and crying can't breathe and your first thing that you respond with is questioning whether or not she actually did this you've been dating for three years she's staying by you while you're going to law school and cheating on her by the way and you're going to stand there and let no fuck that and you're going to stand there and question whether or not bad he's going to be a lawyer great he's not a lawyer yet like I would was so upset i was pissed off i was like dude what a piece of shit i was like even if you know she did it fucking lie like stand there and go absolutely not emmy would never do that that's crazy
Starting point is 00:49:03 talk the only thing that could make it worse is as she's having a mental breakdown inside you're outside on your phone sending joe fucking bradley in there to fucking calm her down what are you doing all i'm getting from will i figured it out it's very very obvious will is trying to get emmy to break up with him, but he's too much of a bitch to break up with her. So he keeps doing mean shit, putting her in bad spots, not defending her and talking shit publicly. So to get back to her, she finally reaches her wits end and goes, fuck this dude, I'm out. And now he didn't have to break up with her.
Starting point is 00:49:34 He can go to law school. He says to Brad, he's a sugar daddy in training. That means that he's going to go probably be 40 and marry some 20 year old who's going to steal all of his money because he's going to be a lawyer. So my opinion on Will in the first three episodes. I used to like like the guy it's like out the window now his behavior is fucking crazy to me
Starting point is 00:49:55 yeah I think we had said that last year too that it just seems like the dynamic was off it seems like they just wanted different things by which Emmy wanted to get married and have a kid and Will did not want to be with Emmy those are the things in the conversation with his dad yeah that was bizarre it was the whole thing was just bizarre
Starting point is 00:50:12 and the writing's been on the wall since last season pretty much since they came onto our TVs the only thing that could really make it worse is laughing after saying that trying to make a joke out of it while she's having a panic attack and then when all of that else fails you go over and give her a half hug and say let me know how it goes let me know how it goes good luck in there champ by the way here's the best part he doesn't even mean that he doesn't want you to let him know how it goes he would rather go home he wants to go out there this is his day off you have no idea how exhausting a nine to five is he has to work a job let me go out i'm going to have high noon today i'm not having a uh what was stella i'm going to go out and have high noon so i'm just going to sit there have my high noon send some text messages and just try to let this whole thing blow over and hopefully you don't come home or call me later because they don't live together hopefully you don't call me later and try to explain what happened because i don't care about yeah i truly don't have time to talk about
Starting point is 00:51:12 i don't work here anymore i can't go walking around back there he's out on his phone on tinder he's swiping right while she's in there crying like let's be real that shit was crazy and she's inside she's like that's what i get that's what i get for being a good person i'm like oh my god this is not about the dresses at all now everything that's going on is will centric i do believe that and i also think you know when you replace alcohol as she has a lot of times and we saw it with kyle Richards for a little while she got huge into working out arguably too much it happens it's a thing it's real you replace one thing with another thing and even though it's a technically good thing you can take it over the top and when she talked about you know as a fitness professional when she's talking
Starting point is 00:52:02 about her workout schedule I'm like Jesus Christ like your body physically needs time to recover not just your muscles but your hormones everything inside of your that's for men women in anybody. You need time to rebuild. If you're constantly in a state of catch up, it fucks up your brain. Make your chemicals get all out of whack. So I think what you're seeing now is dealing with the will situation has to be taxing. Okay. Hearing rumors constantly, constantly defending him. She's still defending him on Twitter right now. Yeah, I know. He deactivated his Instagram. Like, it's all this shit going on is going to wear you down. Meanwhile, you're trying to get your life together and you have the idea that you're
Starting point is 00:52:48 going to be a stay-at-home wife at some point to this lawyer. But that dream seems to be getting further and further away as this dude seems to be getting further and further away from you. So you're defending him. You're trying to work. You have this insane workout schedule that you've now gotten accustomed to. There's no telling what's going on internally. I just think that she's got way too much going on. I don't think that she is capable of discussing the Will situation with anybody, like honestly, like to be able to sit down with somebody close to her and have an actual conversation and be open to hear some of the stuff that Will's been doing. Because how many times have we seen some Will shit pop up? Somebody brings it up to her and she
Starting point is 00:53:28 denies it vehemently. Like she will not hear it. So she's not going to sit down with somebody and let them know that she's worried about certain things or she's dealing with all this shit and i think that the dresses were just a caveat to do a panic attack that has to do with all of this i think everything came to a head because the dresses got brought up yeah i think that's exactly what happened i don't fall for the trap of uh she was overacting no because she actually did that i don't i just don't think it matters like at the end of the day one the dresses were 24 dollars who gives a shit two of course she's going to go to the boutique or company or whatever it is that she has a relationship with she probably could have gone
Starting point is 00:54:12 to that boutique and said hey guys we already have a relationship how would you like to also outfit the rest of the girls at republic that would be pretty cool huh yeah we'll give you a shout on the show yeah maybe we'll get a discount maybe we'll do this whatever who cares she didn't do any of that i just like i just fail to understand any of the accusations if they are actual accusations or if it's just girls that don't like her i think that's more likely yeah i think they don't like will and then i think they feel a certain way about emmy being blind to the shit that will's doing and i think that irritates that's a possibility too yeah i don't think that emmy i think that emmy's treated them like shit or like lesser than but i think the root of it is
Starting point is 00:54:50 they hear all the stuff happening with will they see the stuff happening with will they've been privy to it like in person they've watched it happen and then they watch her just defend him and i'm sure they're like fuck that like i'm not dealing with this shit and i think that's furthered when you get this last scene with Mali and Chavon, they're now roommates and they're talking about their dating life and then they get into the Emmy stuff eventually.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Chavon did get stood up for the Avengers. Not in the movie theater. Just sitting at home. That guy took an edible too and probably laid down and watched the Avengers. Yeah, and the Avengers. You know what probably happened? It was probably on like FX and it was a rewatch and like you know what happens. You know what I'm saying? And you get sucked in out of nowhere and it's like
Starting point is 00:55:32 an hour and a half later. You're like, oh my God, I've been watching the Avengers for an hour and a half. Oh, I do that a little different, though. If I see it on FX, I'll watch a little bit of it. Then I'll hit a commercial and I'll get upset about that. And then I'll just go find that on Disney Plus and restart it. So it does add like about an hour and a half. See?
Starting point is 00:55:47 So there's merit to that, is what I'm saying. Yeah. I don't think you shouldn't take that too. Also, was it a stand-up? Did you, were you lost when she was explaining this to? Because-s-up is not. That's not, he's texted. She invited somebody out and he said, I'm high watching the Avengers.
Starting point is 00:56:01 Yeah. That's not a stand-up. stand up means you were going to meet somebody there they didn't contact you and you were there alone it sounds like you got rejected for robert doughty junior and that happens and who can blame you you know come on iron man you're fucking iron man do you want to know why my reasoning flipped on this whole thing it's a funny thing that like you're not going to this is when you flipped so i flipped earlier. Now you're flipping. Yeah, now I'm flipping. You're, you're just
Starting point is 00:56:32 going to only see this as something that only I would ever get upset about or annoyed. They're roommates, right? I'm trying to put it together before you say it. Yeah. They got ready and went to a restaurant to go film. Where's the fucking couch scene where they're just hanging out of their fucking apartment eating some grubhub? That's a roommate.
Starting point is 00:56:53 Not getting all ready and saying hi to each other as you walk in. You guys live together. The whole thing It just stunk Yeah, okay, fine If that's what it takes To get you on my team Great, at least you're over here now
Starting point is 00:57:04 I think you would have But I was in the jump Like in the beginning Okay, so I went the opposite way So I told you when it all popped off I was like, ah, you're doing too much When they talk out the Emmy stuff You know, and they're talking about Will
Starting point is 00:57:20 And he said that Emmy was boring, anorexic and no fun The second one is fucking crazy. Like you can't talk about that stuff. You can't throw accusations. You're her boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:57:32 You're supposed to protect her. What a piece of shit move that was. Apparently he cops to it too next week and he says. I know. I did do that. No, dude. And she's still going to defend him, which is sick,
Starting point is 00:57:41 dude. But. Poor Emmy. And where it furthered for me was Molly says, I don't fuck with Will. I'm like, okay, so I don't think this is an Emmy problem.
Starting point is 00:57:51 I think this is a Will problem. And I think Emmy is a part of it. Not that Emmy hasn't been mean to these two girls, because it sounds like she's kind of dismissed them the whole time. So they have a reason. But both of them kind of talk through it. And they get to the same place of sympathy for Emmy. And I think that that flipped it for me where it's like, okay, I can get past the fact that you came in hot because I understand what you're doing.
Starting point is 00:58:16 All right. You need to make a name. You want to be on this show. You took a shot. Fine. And you know what? For all intents and purposes, it landed. It worked.
Starting point is 00:58:24 You had a moment, right? it worked out because Emmy lost her fucking mind. So there you go. Now that they're able to get to this point, because when I'm watching Emmy have a meltdown in my brain, I'm like, she's not doing good. This isn't like, oh my God, how wacky.
Starting point is 00:58:40 It's like something's not well right now and she's going through something. So to hear them get to that point at the end of the episode, I'm like, okay, I'm back on your team. Now I'm okay. Now I, the fact that they were able to separate Will from Emmy there and feel bad for what she's going through. I'm like, okay, you tried to have a moment and actually did work technically.
Starting point is 00:59:03 So Kadoos to you, I guess. And here you're giving Emmy some sympathy for what she's going through. Again, she's not going to do herself any favors because she's going to defend the behavior. And that's hard to defend her for defending the behavior is what it is. We'll see what happens next week. But that's how they got me back on their team. Fair enough. I get that reasoning.
Starting point is 00:59:22 Yeah. I can support you. thanks man bro's supporting bros bros bros yeah you don't have to make a word out of it it's okay let's get to some questions but all and all uh one of they're better at there's just great it's a great show it's a really fucking good show and you can tell by our questions i'll put it up on the screen look at that that's people are finally fucking we're telling you for years and you're finally
Starting point is 00:59:54 watching so that's awesome but let's get into it from s e beck 73016 why won't emmy leave will will will he ever get his head out of his own ass go birds go birds no do you have an answer to the question i have to say go birds first go birds it's go bird yeah it's it's rude for me not to you're right um i i i don't know i it bothers me every week weekend and week out that we have to watch her try to defend him now he's just deactivating his instagram because he doesn't want to put up with it i guess it's just it's sad to watch um and we've seen it sounds like a very toxic relationship we haven't really seen the two of them be very toxic to each other we've only heard that they were very toxic outside of each other so i don't know i i could see unfortunately i could
Starting point is 01:00:44 see them getting married and then getting divorced a couple years later that would suck for them but I don't know. That sounds that yeah. Unfortunately that sounds accurate. Yeah. Sounds a little bit. A little bit accurate.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Yeah. Interesting. Flip here from Daria underscore PNG. Why is Will still with Emmy? Because he's too much of a bitch to break up with her. We talked about that earlier. But that puts the emphasis on him. That's interesting.
Starting point is 01:01:15 I think that he thought that the distance of going to college would either fix or ruin the relationship and instead the relationship is exactly what it was when he left. And he just walked back into it now. He's just kind of stuck out. Yep. So there's
Starting point is 01:01:33 a lot of people on here asking one if she was guilty because of her overreaction asking if she was acting. Guys, genuinely, this was somebody going through something that had nothing to do with the dresses. The dresses caused her to have this meltdown,
Starting point is 01:01:51 but no, I firmly believe that this was genuine, as shocking as it was to watch. I think that was real. I think so, too. Oh, this is a good point. These are all Emmy questions for the most part, but from LT8-8-8-8-8-1-8. It could be IT.
Starting point is 01:02:11 I don't want to get it wrong. LT or IT-8-18-8. Does she think this is the only, the attorney she can marry good point that's a great very good point there's definitely lots and lots and lots of lawyers in charleston there's probably a very large lawyer per capita ratio there you can go find yourself another lawyer you know what go find an older dude and just steal his money you know yeah why not what just happened you just flip flopped why that happened it's still recording who cares we'll do two more
Starting point is 01:02:47 I'm scared. That's probably the kid's drawings in my basement. They're playing with the computer. Yep. This is something that we would have noticed and we didn't from Nagelmander. Okay, is TJ's kitchen cabinet broken? Why is it slightly a jar at every seat? I hate you for pointing this out.
Starting point is 01:03:06 Yeah, now I'm going to be able to do that. That's all I'm going to watch. God damn it. Don't tell us stuff like this. Thanks, Nagelmander. These are the things we get focused on. We'll do one more. Let's find one that's not.
Starting point is 01:03:16 I actually saw that question and I didn't want to ask it because I didn't want you to be aware to. Yeah. It's a burden I was going to take. Thanks, man. That's all I'm going to focus on. Oh, here you got from Jamie Gibbs. Michael's friend zoning, TJ, a strategic choice or because telling HR is too complicated?
Starting point is 01:03:36 That's strategy, baby. Yeah, I think it's strategy, but I think it's also a little bit of boundary setting, a little bit of protection. Got to protect those feelings. Things are too complicated. If this is how T.J. is going to be, well, in the, let's call it, the courting phase, then things are only going to get a little bit more complicated. And who knows, maybe those feelings of the age difference are just going to keep popping up. I think Michael's is just protecting himself, and I support it.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Yeah, and I also think another part of it is him saying, no, no, you don't get to pick and choose when you come in and out of my life and into what capacity. That's not how this is going to work. It's letting T.J. know that, no. You had your shot, you fucking blew it. See, Bell. We'll see if they're able to rekindle anything in the future. What that does, everybody, is it puts the ball back in Michael's court. Now it's his game. If he wants to go further, he can. If not, he made the guidelines very straightforward.
Starting point is 01:04:25 So. Sure did. Michael's rising star very quickly, doing a great job. Everybody on this cast is doing their job. I am elated that they've gotten to this point in their journey, if you want to call it that. It's been, this has been an interesting show for you.
