Bros & Shows - Every Good Passover Needs Bougie Jam (RHONY Full Recap S16E3)
Episode Date: September 24, 2026What's up bros?? RHONY is in full swing and before we move on to everyone getting involved, it seems there's a good bit of leftover animosity from 2 of the cast members that made the cut from the fail...ed reboot. While some people may find Erin & Jessel annoying, we feel it's a necessary evil. They need to get this out before we can find the roles for everyone on the show and getting this out of the way early will help the rest of the cast integrate in the right way. Meanwhile, Hailey & Daisy continue to shine in somewhat different but somewhat similar ways if that makes any sense? No ok it doesn't really make sense but shut up ok. Well, Roney's officially off to the races.
We are into the season and there's a lot of things I like.
There's a couple things that I will comment on as we get into it.
But overall, I'm still enjoying this show.
I think it's a pretty solid watch, actually.
I think it's good.
I think this is going to be a good social experiment to see if people are willing to enjoy a show
or just hate on individuals on the show and never let it take off
because I kind of feel like we might be heading towards that territory with this show,
especially with the fans.
As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos.
Oh man, it's 8 o'clock.
And so that'll make it a...
I don't need the spotlight.
I shine just fine.
Hi, I'm karma.
And yes, I am a bitch.
Brov Bros.
Good evening, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Brav Bros.
Your favorite podcast from the Bros.
For everybody, for whoever wants to listen,
I'm your co-host, Steele Russell,
joined as always by the one-and-only
Shooter McGuder.
What's up, dude?
Legal name.
Are we just going to do the love story thing the whole season?
I wrote that down like 10 times in my notes.
So we could definitely talk.
That's part of the thing I referenced.
And there's like three things that are not raising alarms,
but definitely are noticeable.
And I haven't read comments on Instagram or anything.
I would imagine, let me know if I'm right.
I would imagine the three things are.
One, Carol acting like she can gatekeep love story and JFK Jr's death and Caroline Bissette, which is crazy.
Two, I'll just love two and three together.
Jessel and Aaron.
Yeah, yeah, Jessel and Aaron for sure.
I haven't seen a lot of the Carol stuff.
And I look, I'm not even going to talk about.
Yeah, no, that's just me and you.
Yeah.
And I'm not even going to talk about it in like regards to the show or where I think it's heading at all.
This has nothing to do with where the show is going.
This has nothing to do with my enjoyment, my entertainment value or anything like that.
I think I'm just kind of over Carol talking about love story.
It was interesting.
Like I am interested.
The way she's talking about it, though, like you said gatekeeping, not really allowing
anybody else to talk about it.
I don't really care anymore.
And I think we should just move on, especially after this episode.
Because I think we gave her a lot of time to discuss everything, how it feels, her book.
I think we move on.
Like it was interesting and now it's not.
It was pretty much what it done for me.
Well, since we're doing it, we'll just jump to that scene and then we'll go back and when we start the episode.
But just to tie a bow on this one, first of all, she commented on our video that shooter posted of us talking about how the moment of Jessel talking about it so haphazardly was funny.
We weren't saying what she was going through was funny.
She took it as we were saying that.
Can't win them all.
But as far as this goes when she's sitting and talking to Daisy about the whole thing,
and she's kind of walking through it.
And she's like, you know, the story's difficult to talk about things.
It goes painful times of my life.
And Love Story triggered me and this and that and the other.
And I saw these girls taking selfies in front of Carolyn's house.
And I was like, this is ghoulish.
What are you doing?
And I yelled at them.
Okay.
So what happened was like objectively super sad.
And you are close to it.
And Love Story came out somewhat recently in regards to filming.
So yeah, it's probably a little bit fresh, and I'm not telling you that you're not allowed to have feelings about it.
But the way she's talking about it is like it happened yesterday.
And most importantly, she's talking about it like you didn't write a book about it.
You wrote a book about this whole thing, which is your prerogative to do.
But the whole point of a book is to start discussions, is to read a book and then discuss the book and process the book.
So for you to try to tell people to like stop talking about, not Jessel, that was crazy.
That's not what we're talking about.
but like
JFK Jr's grave is like
a very frequently visited place
it's an important place that people take pictures in front of
so like Carolyn's apartment I don't think that's
ghoulish I think it's like oh my god
I just learned about this woman because the sad thing is
with the lack of knowledge of history in this country
people probably just found out about this
they're like whoa shit I didn't even know who she was
and so now they're like stoked to like learn more
and they saw our apartment so
yeah, I understand the personal proximity probably makes it weird.
You have some feelings about it.
Totally fair.
Reasonable.
I get that.
But to try to shut everybody down from discussing it or to act like they can't talk about it
because it hits so close to home for you.
Again, you wrote a book on it.
So to tell people to not talk about it doesn't make a lot of sense because you
talked about it in like 300 pages.
So I agree with you.
I think it's like this can't be a sticking point where if it comes up or,
for every scene that Carol's in.
It's like, we're going to talk about love story.
Because it's like, we want to know about you.
Yeah.
And look, it's not like Carol's an unknown commodity.
No, no, I don't think so at all.
Carol's not an unknown commodity.
It's not like we need to find out more about her.
Like I think the update of what have you been doing for the last eight years,
I renovated my office kitchen kitchen office back and forth.
That's enough for me.
I'm okay.
I know what she's going to bring to the show.
Like she doesn't need to prove herself.
I'm just like kind of at my wits end with it.
Like, okay, whatever.
Like, talk about something else.
Like, get involved in everything else.
You know enough of these women.
You know what's going on?
Like, just have the normal housewife scene.
You know what I mean?
Like, this was enough.
Again, I wasn't saying this before this scene.
After this scene, I'm like, okay, cool, we can put it to bed.
We don't have to keep talking about it.
But I think the best way I can put it is it's almost like a generational thing.
Because if an influencer, which, you know, I think Cara, this is kind of fucking crazy to say,
but I'm going to say it anyway.
I think Caroline,
In today's age, would probably be an influencer on TikTok, would probably be an influencer on Instagram.
If we're all just basing our outfits as Jessel wants us to do for that summer, that's pretty much the territory we'd be in.
If something catastrophic happens to a huge influencer, people would be taking pictures outside of their house.
That's just how where we live now.
I mean, honestly, it could be the same situation without her being an influencer, but if she was married to a Kennedy that was still in the spotlight, like J.FK Jr., we would be talking about it.
Like, they talked about it when she was alive.
And like that whole thing went down.
That was big news, those two.
Yeah.
And I would imagine, I don't know this for sure, but I'm going to imagine that for years,
because JFK Jr. was so big, people were taking pictures outside of his apartment.
And as they do for many, you know, well-known people who have died over the years in
tragic events, whether it's an assassination or something else, that's just what people do.
It's not all of a sudden like, wow, I don't like this popularity.
I'm not even going to go as far to say, like, she's upset because her book was the
first vestige of this world and she gave people an in to everything and now the whole love
story has taken on a whole world of its own but it wouldn't be there if it wasn't for her book or
anything like that and she's got jealousy i don't think that's it at all i think she just kind
doesn't understand how pop culture works and how these things work so she's upset about it because
of who they are again i get it i'm just kind of tired of hearing about it like oh all right there's
more to talk about there's other things going on within this group like we're starting to take off
there's other issues within the women in the group that I kind of want you to weigh in on.
So stop wasting your scenes talking about what's going on 40, 50 years ago.
Like, it's just, let's move on.
I'm curious how this conversation is going to go over.
Yeah, I think it'll be fine.
Yeah.
I'm not saying she, you know, she's allowed to be upset.
That's not what I'm saying.
It's just like, yeah, we thought about it enough.
But yeah, I don't know, I'm curious to see how you guys feel out there.
So if you're not happy with what we said, you're going to let us.
know anyway.
So it's also,
you know what it is.
I'll,
I'll put this in the best way that I can,
at least from my frame of minds.
That show came out like over a year ago.
I'm over it.
I want to do shows.
I don't care anymore.
Like it would be like someone in the next season of,
I don't know,
what's going to come out next year.
Like if Miami gets rebooted,
which we have to talk about every episode.
And they're talking about like stranger things.
It'd be like,
oh, like the secret episode from stranger things.
They'd be like, dude, come on.
We're so over this.
I don't care anymore.
So that's what it is.
It's just not relevant to me anymore.
Yeah.
No,
I don't want to compare
JFK Jr.
and Carolina Bissette
to a...
No, the show.
Yeah, yeah.
The fandom of a TV show.
I'm just getting ahead of that one.
That's the other thing.
Like you said,
we have a pretty big history problem in this country.
People also probably don't really realize
that these were actual people.
Like,
I'm sure there's a very big population
that are like,
whoa,
this is like a dramatization of what everybody
thinks could have happened of what may have happened with these people from the ancient times.
Wow, her house is still there.
Her apartment's there.
Let's go take a picture over there.
There is probably a good population that's doing that right now.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Honestly, unfortunately, that's probably very true.
But jumping back a little bit, we get Haley and Jessup playing pickleball.
I guess pickleball is the new flapper party.
It's the new sound app.
We've had multiple pickleball scenes in two different shows, Salt Lake.
and we've had two pickleball scenes within a two weeks span.
So if we get three, then that's the new thing that they're going to do.
Trifecta.
Yeah, the trifecta.
But we get to learn more about Haley.
And she's still pissed at Aaron because of the broken nose thing and all of that.
There is a theme here.
And I'm curious, it was kind of a one-off.
But the Jessel being a snob thing is starting to get some legs.
And I'm curious where that's going to go.
Plus, I mean, she appears to be that.
But I'm curious if that's going to start becoming a bigger sticking point that we're going to talk about.
And I'll talk about Jessel and Aaron shortly because I have some things we need to discuss when it comes to those two.
And I think that's what you're saying.
Are we going to let hatred of people on the cast ruin the entire show, which I'm not.
I can see the like Daisy, I think is awesome.
Haley's very, very enjoyable.
I know Carol can bring it.
We've just got to wait for her to get her sea legs back.
But we learn about Rubin and this situation, this marriage that Haley's in.
So here's how it went.
The John and Kate plus eight thing.
They were apparently separated.
I guess her family had helped Kate after the birth, get back to like back on her feet or something like that.
I wrote it down.
I'm guessing.
Something along those lines.
Yeah.
It was after the after the pregnancy of the six.
she got a tummy tuck mom recovered her they knew each other really well they got separated and then john
moves in to their house separated allegedly they go out on a boat together paparazzi snaps a photo
home wrecking haley starts making the tabloids and the shit went viral before viral was even a thing
it's all over the tabloids everything's going crazy everyone's pissed at haley they think she's awesome
awesome awful oh i don't know that much about this whole thing so i don't know the ins and outs like
if her story tracks i think that she seems honest for what we've seen on the show but i don't really
know if if there's a discrepancy in that timeline or not personally i mean i'm going to call
bullshit i don't believe any of it because she didn't even go as far as to speak on
what exactly her and John's relationship was.
She just kind of said that it was the two of them on a yacht that got pictures taken
and then she was all over the tabloids and that's sort of where the trail ends, if you will.
Yeah.
There's more smoke there from what I understand.
There's more fire somewhere.
There's more pictures of you and the tabloids there.
I mean, we go on to talk about how she goes in the PR, which is a nice story.
And I do believe her there that she decided to go into PR because she had to do her own
PR during those times and then thought maybe I could do this for other people.
But she's still making clips of herself when she starts PR.
So it's like, okay, they're still doing things.
If I know one thing, yes, tabloids do run up stories and they try to make it a lot bigger than
it actually is.
But if there's really nothing there, they're going to stop.
Like if there's nothing for them to dig into, they're going to stop eventually.
They didn't really stop for a long time with her.
So I don't really believe her there.
I do think there's probably some timeline discrepancies, a little overlap, things like
that along those lines. I also don't really
understand how the plastic surgeon
that is her dad helps
out Kate and then
and then John separate, but then
John moves in. That doesn't make a whole ton of sense.
That was the weirdest part to me.
She was also very vague with
Rubin because she kind of
throws out, we were childhood friends.
So was John the childhood friend
or was Rubin the childhood friend?
Ruben was. She knew him since they were 12.
I went back and rewatched it.
Okay, because I couldn't figure out if she was talking
about John or Rubin.
Because I went back and rewatched it because I'm like, maybe I messed this up.
I still didn't know the second time that I watched it.
So I think she was intentionally vague on some aspects of the story.
It was also one of those classic housewife stories.
Like, I know we're going to talk about this.
So let me get my story out there when it's a really long winded story like that with a lot
of twists and turns and then the tabloids are involved.
And it's a big polarizing story from whatever it was like 20 years ago.
I don't really believe you.
I think there's a lot more there.
I'm okay to move on.
I thought it was like an interesting piece because I think Haley has already shown us
so much of her personality and how she can fit into this show that I'm excited for her moving forward,
not for the John and Kate stuff,
but for who she is as a person and what she can bring to the show.
So I don't really care as much.
I just needed it to be addressed.
It's obviously going to be a sticking point with the other women,
especially as we see later in the episode.
But I didn't really believe the story for what it was worth.
Okay.
That's fair.
Yeah, I could see either way.
years probably makes more sense just because we don't have a lot of info and she was kind of vague about the whole thing.
What I do believe is that this situation sent her life down an entirely different path.
And she says as much, you know, this ruined my life.
You can pinpoint where my piece of me died is what she says literally.
But Rubin stepped in in the midst of all this.
I guess they're at the club or something like that, like the country club and they ran into each other.
he stepped in. Mom said, make me proud, which gives me a lot of questions about mom.
Make me proud.
Meaning Mary.
Those questions were, those questions were answered pretty quickly, though, with her mom.
Yeah, it's a good point.
I've seen.
She was funny.
Yeah, she is very funny, but I can see where all of that comes from and where Haley's
relationship with her mom comes from as well, just off of one face, well, two face times
if you count the confessional.
That was enough for me.
I get the whole picture.
I'm good.
We don't need any more explanation.
That's valid.
I would be happy if mom makes more cameos.
I thought she was a riot.
Definitely need her.
I need her to show up to a Haley party at the end of the season and just get it.
Oh, yeah, I like that.
Yeah.
That sounds good.
I'm down for that.
But that's when we go to the Carolyn Daisy scene.
And, you know, we talked about the love story of it all.
But her saying that it's crazy that Jess was discussed in this whole thing.
And she went to the Kennedy curse and all that.
Like, yeah, that was nuts just because she had no feel for the situation.
In that regard.
Yeah, like, yes, you did have a personal connection to this.
This is different than people talking about the show or going to see points of interest that have to do with the show.
So yeah, totally different ballgame, totally on your team here.
That was nuts.
But that's kind of showing you this is more about Jessel, this scene to me, than it is about Carol,
because we're seeing a pattern when it comes to Jessel.
And Aaron.
And I wonder if you have the same feeling that I do, because there seems to be,
this air of we survive the cuts we're the OGs now and they're kind of like I don't know there's
this pretentiousness not just the fact that they actually are pretentious but it's like a different
layer where it almost seems like they're better than they think they're better than the rest of
the cast yeah I mean I don't know I think it's still a little leftover in terms of the vibes I'm
getting from Jessel.
It's still that, and she even references it, what was it?
It was a variety or vanity fair that she was in?
It was vanity fair.
The Vanity Fair article goes out at the end of the first season of the reboot for Jessel,
the only person that gets mentioned in the whole article.
She had a different air about her in that second season.
No one watched the second season.
Everybody kind of tuned out and then kind of tuned back in for the reunion because there
was more shit going on.
But they survived the cuts.
Yeah, that's exactly what we did.
They survived the cuts.
Now, I think the leftover.
vibes that I'm getting from Aaron is that she's still probably struggling with what her role is now
and she's trying to be more of herself, which we've been seeing, which I actually appreciate
because we do need a shitster that's just going to stand on business, even if that business is
incompletely wrong, like just unbelievably wrong. But I want that. I also kind of see where
Jessel's coming from because she's got this big head about her. And I think those two are budding
heads from those leftover feelings and everyone else is just kind of left to the dust. The good thing
that I'm not seeing is the issue between the new cast and those two.
Because there could be some issues in there where it's like, okay, we don't care that you
were on the show before this.
We're on it now.
This is our show, which hopefully doesn't rear its ugly head because I don't really want
that.
I want everybody to mesh at some point.
But I think we're still just working out some issues between Jessel and Aaron and everybody
else is just kind of collateral damage in all of this.
And they're just trying to get their opinions out there.
But I agree with pretty much everybody's assessment.
I mean, like, yes, I like Aaron for the show.
but yeah, she's being kind of a bitch.
I like Jessel for the show,
but yeah,
she's definitely being very like,
I don't even know if class is this the right word
because I don't even think she's that rich.
So she's just got that weird,
like arrogant air about her in a rich way
that doesn't add up
and I think it's going to roll a lot of people the wrong way.
That's a good point.
Didn't we have like a discrepancy
when they were talking about private school
and Povett's like,
ah, we can't afford that.
So yeah, that is interesting.
I don't know.
Like the popcorn ceiling of it all
that we're going to get to shortly.
I just got,
I don't know.
I don't know.
We'll talk more about it.
I don't want to overlook the fact that we talk about the tutor with Daisy and Carol.
Yeah.
Cleaned it up a little bit.
She did and then she didn't in my mind because she's like, you know, of course not flirting back.
I'm cooking dinner.
I'm in a moo-moo.
I'm this, I'm that.
First and foremost, unless this tutor is just like a lunatic.
There's a reason he felt comfortable sending that text message and you can't convince me otherwise.
Okay.
Second, when you.
followed up with it was very flattering
that's not helping your case at all
no not at all and hey you should tell your husband
yeah
you should have told him when you got the text dude what
all of these things are bad
the follow up to the follow up is
ah you know we we fight in a very weird way
he looks at Craigslist for apartments and I go on Raya
okay
so you did a little bit of clean up in the beginning
like if you just kind of explain it away
and excuse it away as a hey this is just my personality i really don't like it would made me uncomfortable
but i thought it was funny and i kind of leaned into the funny part of it by telling all of you guys
but in reality like no there's nothing going on there and i need to shut it down i just don't have
that personality to shut it down i'd be like okay like i disagree with that but i get where you're
coming from if that's who you are and that's how you handle things and you'd rather not tell your
husband or you even say he's such a great tutor and quentin loves him so much i don't want to fuck that up
because it's really engaging my son.
Yeah, I think a lot of people would probably align with that moral conflict somewhere in there.
But it all goes out the window when you start talking about how you didn't tell your husband.
It's like, okay, that's a bad step.
And then you talk about how you guys fight.
He's looking for apartments.
Yeah, that's a little toxic, but it's not inexcusable.
It's not crazy.
You're going on Raya when you guys are in a fight.
That's crazy.
And then it brings me back to the tutor.
So you did a lot of work and then came right back to the same spot, if not worse.
I would say worse.
That's a worse situation because that also leans further into, well, if you're jumping on Raya,
it's not hard to, you know, assume that maybe you're flirting with the Tudor.
Like, it's just a very strange situation of which she does not do a good job,
raining it in.
I agree with you.
It's like, oh, okay.
I have more questions.
Oh, no.
Like, are, yeah, yes.
Is your age filter on Raya younger?
Did this guy see you on Raya?
does he know that?
Did he start talking to you about that?
And you're trying to hide that.
There's so many things that could go into this.
She opened the door.
I mean, yes,
I am kicking down the door by asking these questions.
But you opened it,
lady,
you left that door open for me.
I don't think you're pushing it open a little bit.
Again,
this door,
this fictional door,
this is like a screen door.
There's like a flimsy screen door.
So now it's a screen door and tornado right now.
Yes,
exactly.
It's a very strange situation.
From what it sounds like,
to sum it up,
we had this prediction last week, I believe it might have been week one, honestly.
It seems like the classic housewife setup of I'm going to go on this show and I'm going
to divorce my husband.
Like that's what it's giving.
I still don't see that.
I still think she's she has no idea and she's just putting her foot in her mouth over
and over again.
But I need to see more before I go that far only I'm probably protecting myself from
myself honestly.
It's fair.
I just hate that.
I can't stand that trope.
There's been too much of that.
It was fun.
Not fun.
That's terrible word to say.
But it was fun.
Actually,
you know what?
I'm going to leave it there.
It was fun the first time.
I don't remember who the first one was because there's been too many of them.
But we're getting to a point now where I do not like that trope.
I'm trying to think who the first one I can remember was.
I mean, Salt Lake could be Bronwyn.
Bronwyn was like the first egregious one.
Yeah, that one was pretty obvious.
I think that's when we all started kind of picking up on that move.
Yeah.
So we'll credit her with the first one.
But anyway, we got to Daisy, Jessel, and Erica.
We're over at Daisy's crib.
And this is, I kind of expected, you know, we're going to make some digs at the apartment
because we walk in and Jess was like, I love the art.
Is that a popcorn ceiling?
Like, okay.
Here's the thing that kind of perked my ears up a little bit while I'm watching is normally
when we get a situation where we're being a little pretentious or we're being a little
snobby.
I like it.
I'm like, ha ha, yeah, you got money.
Let him know.
Maybe it's something about Jessel.
I don't know what it is.
I don't know.
But it's like, this just kind of seemed mean.
And I was like, maybe because I don't buy that she's like, you know, fuck it, rich.
So it's like, this is kind of weird that you're taking shots at the new girl.
And you and Eric, like, Erica can sit there and be like, popcorn ceiling.
Yeah.
She's a billionaire.
But you're not.
She's gone back up.
It's very funny because I like to look at tax brackets.
this way. Erica made it all the way through. Maybe she just kind of got to that that area,
but she made it all the way through that middle area where you're rich and you're judging other
people. She's so rich that she just doesn't care. She's actually still based on her scene later with
encore. She's still coming to grips with exactly how much money they have. I think that she's
still trying to figure that out. So she's not judging and she also just seems very nice. Jessel is
well in that firm area of I am comfortable. I live in New York.
people know me.
I had vanity fair.
I'm going to judge your apartment in like a funny way.
And it's not a funny way.
She just does it.
She just comes off too abrasive when she does it.
I think there are ways that you can go about it and make a popcorn ceiling joke without
looking across the table at Daisy who's just kind of smearing back at you like,
what the fuck is this?
And then still laugh about it.
Like there's different ways to go about it.
It just seems like the way that Jessel chooses to go about it is the most abrasive way.
And it doesn't come off right.
It just didn't hit.
You know what she was doing it was kind of like eh.
Yeah.
You know, it wasn't great.
But we do learn more about the Eugene situation.
This is where we get the Raya and all of that.
I guess the Raya thing was earlier.
But while they're sitting there talking about it, you know, he's working every single
day.
He comes home at 9 p.m.
showers goes on his phone.
Weekends, he's working for private clients.
Here's what we're doing.
We're setting up, which I don't love.
And I'm sure a lot of people probably don't love this movie either because we do this on a lot of shows.
And a lot of times it's when we don't have a lot to discuss.
And that's the move of, ooh, we got to dig into their marriage now.
And they're setting that up.
I know you don't.
That's one of your least favorite tropes.
I don't love it.
I don't hate it as much as you do.
But for me, it's more of an indicator of like, uh-oh.
Like, are we out of things to talk about?
Because now everyone's going to be like, what's going on?
I mean, we see it immediately.
Jessa goes to her confessional.
She's like,
hmm, how many private clients do you have?
Yeah.
Going on here.
That's where like I don't understand.
There's low hanging fruit right in front of your face.
I mean,
you're still reeling from hearing the story of the tutor.
You could just talk about that.
That would be okay.
Talk about the tutor.
Try to find out some more.
Did she?
Because we had that conversation with Carol.
You guys didn't have that conversation amongst yourselves
about what she's doing with the tutor and follow up or anything like that.
Maybe they didn't.
They cut it out.
because we already did it with Carol and they don't want to be redundant, fine.
But to then go to the husband and be like, oh, he's working late.
What's that about?
That's also a little classism.
Like maybe the guy just has to work late.
Maybe he's just to work.
And he needs to make that money from the private clients on the weekend.
And that's the only time that people can get their haircut.
That's probably true to.
There's a lot of things that go into it.
We don't even know him.
I mean, we kind of know him, but they don't even know him.
Let's not do this right now, especially Jessel, who went through like a season and a half of
all the women commenting on
have it going to fucking Vietnam to go
get a sandwich and come back. And then they were like,
whoa, what's you doing over there? Is he doing like sex
tourism? Like, no, he's going to get a sandwich.
I can't explain this in a way that you're not going to
judge. So I'm just going to stop. Like, you would
think that Jessel would maybe not do that, but she's
doing it. And I don't like to watch it.
Yeah, no, I agree. And I didn't
expect her to, I don't think that she
that's how she looks at situations. I don't
think she's looking back at her thing and
being like, oh, I can see why this
is similar. I think she just sees something. She's like, oh, I'm going to comment on that.
The one thing that's good about Jessel is that she will take things to the nth degree.
And a lot of times it's entertaining. And in this moment when she's talking about Aaron,
because she's talking about Aaron, like, oh, she's Mariah Carey obsessed with me. By the way,
she's got some other shit she needs to worry about. And she starts pulling up things.
She didn't pay her rent in Tribeca, said that there was rats or something. The landlord sued them.
they settled.
Then they didn't pay a rental company for like X amount of months.
Like she has all this debt, which gives us the Hampton's house.
You wouldn't normally hear somebody flat out go, oh, that's insurance fraud.
She's doing the insurance thing.
I was like, whoa, bold claim, very bold claim.
I think it's fair.
I really do.
It's just that's why she is good in those moments.
Yeah.
No, I think it's totally fair to ask the question.
Is it true?
Probably not.
I think that if I go back in time real quick, I remember Abe selling Bitcoin and not telling Aaron so that they could pay off some debt from a failed business.
There was a huge discrepancy about that.
There's always been some money things concerning with Abe and Aaron.
So it's okay to ask that question.
Like, hey, I mean, you guys have had money problems in the past.
It's very historical data.
Now this happens.
Let's ask the question.
You're pissing me off.
Let me ask the question.
That's totally fine by Jessel.
I'm completely okay with that.
And it's also just very fine.
funny that you're pulling up articles about rats in the building.
So it's kind of a twofer.
Like, hey, normal people would be like, hey, get these rats out of here.
I'm not paying rent.
And you would side with that person.
But if you hate that person, you'd be like, not only are you not paying your rent.
You got fucking rats.
That's close.
Your apartment's disgusting.
That's a funny way to do that.
So I do appreciate what she brings to the table there because she's not really like bringing
everybody into it.
She just has a vendetta with Aaron.
Aaron's got a vendetta with her.
They need to hash it out.
They need to figure this shit out or just.
have it out, and then we'll get somewhere. So I'm okay with it. That's fair. Yeah, well, again,
we'll talk about them when we get to their scene shortly. Let's take a quick little ad break here,
and we'll get right back to the rest of the Houseway faction.

we do that we got to check in with haley and her mom again mom wanted to light on screen she's
very funny kind of in her own world i don't think she knows she's on tv i i really don't either that's
funny you said that i had the same vibe is i think she's just this is how she is you know she's
sitting there talking to her and this is a nothing scene and this is good it's a good indicator
because nothing's accomplished here it's just a let's get to know haley a little bit more scene
Yep. She's very entertaining.
I love when she's on my screen.
This whole conversation cracked me up.
Mom just got her boobs done.
And she's like, should I get them smaller?
She's like, you just got them done.
She's like, no, I didn't.
She's like, it was like a year ago, mom.
Anyway, my therapist says I should join a queer bird watching group.
And I was like, since winter bird's queer, I believe her.
I think that she really thought she, like the birds were queer.
They're going to look at queer birds.
She's like, oh, you know, it's about me.
And then mom starts laughing.
This isn't funny.
This is my life.
It was a very funny scene.
It was a very interesting.
I also loved when she's talking about her therapist.
She's like, you know my they, them therapist.
And then two seconds later, she goes, yeah, she told me.
It's like, wait, you just misgendered her right away.
You took the time to actually correctly gender this woman and clarify or gender them to
clarify this.
And then immediately moved on and said, she told me to go bird watching, queer bird watching.
It's like, wait a bit.
All right.
All right.
I'll let you have that one.
Whatever.
She's just, she's quirky.
She's funny.
She's all over the map.
And that's what you want, especially for scenes like this where it's just one person
talking to their mom.
Like a lot of people tune their brains out.
She is not someone that you want to tune your brains out for, especially when she's
just sitting there by herself or we're talking to her mom now.
No, and that's a good thing for the show as a whole.
We need those kinds of characters.
And we have one in Haley.
I think that she is going to be a good housewife.
That's exciting.
And that takes us to Anker.
Anker and Erica.
Anker again started built rewards, which is like a rewards program.
I think with credit cards, but you can get like money off your mortgage and shit like that.
I don't know the ins and outs.
But anyway, fuck it money.
This man is loaded.
He's got a private island.
They got this shranky pat, New York.
I'm sure they have a million other things.
He got married at the foot of the pyramids, like all of this stuff.
I think it's endearing and again exciting that you have a billionaire in Erica.
And I think you're 100% right.
I don't think it's sunk in yet.
Like, oh my God, I have all of the money.
I never have to worry about anything ever again.
And there is a relatability to her,
which I would never say about a billionaire,
but she does seem kind of normal,
which I appreciate. And Ocker seems normal too.
He seemed like a decent thing.
Yeah, I like him.
Yeah, like it was a, this was a good scene again.
Also, let's just get this out of way.
Props to her for even trying to
to explain that they have a private island where celebrities and past presidents go.
Like, that is, that is a tough, that is a tough one to throw out there.
Just a drop so nonchalantly.
Yeah, I, yeah, it's a tough one.
I mean, good for her.
They, you know, they talk all about it.
I want to know more.
And look, it was a nice scene.
This is the first time that we're meeting them and they're making pizzas together.
And he seems relatable.
He seems nice.
Oh, I get it now.
That.
Oh, that.
Actually, whatever your head?
Yeah, I'm with you now.
Yep.
Sorry, I'll redact it later.
It's been a long day.
Yeah, but, no, he seems nice.
Like, it seems like they're in love.
It seems like they love each other.
And we talk about how she and correct me if I'm wrong,
but wasn't it that she has growths on her liver that are going to potentially be with estrogen?
With estrogen, yes.
So she's recommended, highly recommended to not actually carry her own child.
So they're going through the surrogacy program.
I think it's relatable that he's like, oh, who do we match with?
No, it's not match.
We get set up.
We have to go through all of this and that.
He's like, I'm sorry.
But like in my P brain, I'm looking through and it's basically like Tinder.
I'm like that sounds fucking relatable.
That does actually sound like how the process goes.
So I agree with you.
That sounds great.
But I like them.
And I like that she's like you said, very relatable talking about how she grew up.
She didn't try to bury the lead too much.
She grew up wealthy.
She had a father who was a doctor.
She was Waco rich.
She had enough, but this is
a completely different, it's the upper echelons
upper echelot. I mean, she is just
a completely different galaxy now.
And I think like I said earlier, she's just coming to grips
at this whole thing. So there is a layer of
that where it's like, okay, this is kind of cool. You don't know
what the fuck you're talking about. You might
actually say something that you hope you can take back
later, which is going to be very interesting.
Yeah, you don't get that a lot with billionaires.
So I'm excited to see her
character arc on this season. I think
that she might be a good housewife as well.
And again, exciting that you look at Daisy, you look at Haley, and you look at Erica, all new.
And you're like, okay, we got something here, which makes these scenes, because we get a quick check in with Daisy and Martha.
It's kind of whatever, just to remind you that she sends Martha Stewart.
But that's when we get to Jessel and Aaron.
It is very, very obvious that they have been on this show before.
And that's not, I'm not saying that in a good way.
this is forcing me to deviate from the show
because it feels so much like the first two seasons
and we all hated those seasons
and I don't look back to that place
and I know we need to hash things out
I know this is like growing pains to get us where we need to go
I can sit through that
like I understand that this is something
that box that we have to check so to speak
I'm concerned that people watching
are going to see this kind of stuff
and tap out.
Be like, this show stinks when it doesn't.
We have three new cast members that are great.
Carol, I'm sure she'll again, like warm up and get used to it again.
I don't want the show to go down the drain because people bounce because they're
annoyed with Jessel and Aaron.
No, I fully agree.
And look, Jessel is not the first housewife to ever show up with prepared insults and
quips.
It happens on the time.
It happens on literally every show.
We're going to watch Salt Lake later.
I guarantee you I could pick one of three.
that are definitely going to have rehearsed lines.
It happens all the time.
And all that really matters.
Yeah.
All that really matters is that we get a good response.
And I thought Aaron did a pretty good job.
Like, yes, there are things out there.
And then we kind of go back and forth with Google me, Google me.
Let's see what pops up here.
And obviously, Jessel goes to a confessional and only brings up the vanity fair thing.
There's definitely more out there.
There was more about you on the show two years ago.
So don't spit in my mouth and tell me it's raining.
There it is.
That was for you.
But at the same time, you have to.
to get through these scenes. They're on a collision course and the collision course was set
still from two years ago, from last year, from the last season that we filmed. They're the only
two and Cy who's doing a much better job as herself, who's kind of just lurking around in the
background is the best way I can do it because I know she's going to pop off at some point.
But for these two, they have to get it out and they're going to get it out whether you like
it or not. And Jessel had her rehearsed lines. Erin was able to kind of stand her ground.
I actually appreciated what Aaron did. But these scenes happen. And it's
should not bog anybody down. This is not
going to be a recession indicator. This is not going to be
a, oh, God, I can't believe that they still
have this cast on here. Get through it.
It's fine. It's not the end of the world.
Completely agree.
We watched it the same way.
And it's a necessary evil to get us
into the future of whatever the show is going
to look like. We have to get through
this part. We knew it was going to
happen. The thing that got
under my skin, this is what I was talking about early
on about these two.
Yeah. This is where the air of like,
like this is our show and like they're battling for like top dog it's like who's got the bigger
dick in this scene is what i see so we do need a moment of like actually hashing it out agree
to disagree move forward let's get invested in this cast as a whole but to reiterate one more
time like we are going to have this was always going to happen this was always going to be part of
the new show so we just have to muscle through it because i do genuinely think there's a good show in
here and that's a testament to the newbies.
I think that they are good at this.
And with Aaron,
she might rub you the wrong way.
Like you said,
we need the shitster.
I think the biggest outlier for me right now
is because I've seen Jessel when she's doing good.
Like I've seen a good housewife in Jessel.
I think she can do it too.
She needs to figure out what her role is.
Right.
Aaron clearly seems to be settled in as the shitster,
at least for now.
Jessel, she's kind of floating.
It's kind of floating right now and I need her to pick a lane, whatever that's going to look like.
Again, it's super early.
I'm not like panicking or anything like that.
Just that seems to be kind of the question mark is like, all right, what are you doing?
Like what are, what's your angle going to be this season?
Because as right now, it's, it's just trying to prove like, yeah, I'm an HBIC.
And if that's the case, fine.
But how are we going to get there?
I don't know.
I don't think it's going to work anyway.
This is the thing that's going to end up biting her in the ass anyway.
her personality just pushes people away.
Like, Erin has friends on this cast and Aaron will make friends on this cast.
Like, yes, she shit talks.
Yes, she apologizes.
Then as soon as the music turns up, she'll turn to the person to her left and start shit talking once again.
That's good for the show.
But she's friends with Carol and people like Carol.
So people will be friends with Carol and Carol will be able to explain why she's friends with Erin.
So Aaron at the end of the day, we'll have friends on the cast.
The way the Jessel's going right now, it doesn't seem like she's going to have many friends left.
alienates people. She does. She alienates people with her comments. She alienates people by acting
like she's better than them and bigger than them and richer than them. And she's not necessarily.
I mean, I think that what made her so good and the only reason why she got that vanity affair
cover in the first place was because she had such a good first season of relatability.
Now she right now she doesn't. She simply doesn't. She's being something. I don't know if she's
being something that she's not because I don't really know her personally, but she's doing something
that's not really translating to making many friends on this cast.
And if you burn the bridge of sigh with your friendship, as we saw,
though two of them were enemies for two years, you got nothing.
And you're going to be stuck.
So you're going to have to change your tune real quick.
So I just, I hope she changes it eventually or tries to kind of integrate a little bit more
instead of being whatever the hell she is right now.
Yeah.
And look, I have hope for both of them.
I think both Jessel and Aaron can rise to the occasion.
I think that they can be justified.
I think we need to, again, let's get through this phase.
And we'll move forward.
I don't want to kick anybody off this cast yet.
I think everybody has a spot here.
And I think we're fine, guys.
I'm not even putting up like a warning.
There's no warning.
There's no defcon.
There's nothing.
We've got nothing right now.
It's just we both knew how people were going to view this scene in particular
and how people are viewing either Aaron or Jessel or both.
Just let it go.
It's going to be okay.
Yeah, exactly.
And everyone's like so critical of Roney,
understandably so because of how rocky it's been.
Let it breathe.
Let it breathe, guys.
Now, now there is a DefCon situation in a few weeks when Golden Life premieres.
If Golden Life is just ripping and we hit a big lull in this season,
that's going to be really bad for Rode.
But it's just a hypothetical right now.
It's not real.
I mean, a golden life, as much as I really want it to be great, it might fucking suck.
Who knows?
I don't know.
We'll see.
Hopefully they're both good, right?
We want everything to be good.
That's what we want.
Fingies crossed.
All right.
But again, let's let it breathe.
Everybody, don't panic yet.
But let's go to Daisies for Passover.
And mom always hosted Passover.
Now they all got a boca.
You know, that's how these things go.
No more.
Does anyone have like, we used to have all the big family gatherings.
like back when I was growing up
like Thanksgiving Christmas is always like a big thing
like that doesn't happen anymore
it's kind of sad
Thanksgiving everybody gets together
yeah huge one okay that's good
that's good we do for Thanksgiving
it's a decent I just I don't know
when I was younger it was like it was like a thing
I think the thing that we need to bring back
even more so than big family gatherings
is the chime that happens when you walk in the front door
oh yeah I agree with that
oh my God I didn't even
I completely forgot about it until I hear this.
The chime starts going off and people show up like,
holy shit.
Everybody had that in their house growing up.
Yeah,
I had to figure out which window in my basement didn't have that.
I did.
I found it.
But,
yeah,
I know which basement window.
Yeah,
I know you do.
Yeah,
I've been in there.
Good times.
They sold that house.
So sad.
Anyways,
listening to Daisy talk about her childhood was very funny.
We were drinking Zimas and smoking outside.
And dad will do it.
pick up the butts and this and that.
And that reminded me when I was living in Texas at my grandparents' house
and they went out of town and I was playing baseball in junior college.
And I invited my team over for a party.
And they left cigarette butts everywhere in like the dog holes and stuff.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I got in trouble.
That's a tough look for me.
Not proud of it.
Man, not to say.
Anyway, not a whole lot happens here until like the end of the scene.
We're kind of just going back and forth for sort of learning about Passover.
but Aaron doesn't really know that much about it.
Admittedly so, she says.
But we get the jam thing where she gets Haley a jam of the month club,
which I thought was actually kind of funny.
But watching this whole thing shake out the way that it did.
Here's my notes.
Here's what I noticed.
This is kind of what pushed me after the scene with Jessel and Aaron kind of pushed me,
like, all right, that's what you're trying to do.
Because Jessel shows up two hours late and she's more or less that you should thank me.
Like, I don't come out here.
I don't leave the city.
It's not hitting the way that you think it is.
I don't know.
So that made me a little nervous.
Again, I'm not panicking, just a little bit nervous.
But the scene ends with the jam thing.
And Aaron making a very big leap here from, you're boring to, oh, yeah, well, you were a party to an affair that involved eight kids.
Mm-hmm.
Tough.
Yeah, so it's a big jump.
Yeah.
The way that I look at it, this is going to have to happen.
It was going to have to happen.
I do not think.
I didn't think it was going to be like that.
These two are the same thing.
I mean, this is apples and oranges.
You called me boring.
How's this for boring?
You broke up a marriage with eight children.
We were going to have to do it in some way, shape, or form.
I didn't know how it was going to come about.
Clearly, when Haley's talking about it earlier in the episode, you know that someone's
going to use this against her.
But Haley has that personality where, you know, I'm not really seeing her
getting involved with a lot of people.
I'm not really seeing her like, yes,
she's going to make her offhanded comments here and there.
But I don't know if she's ever going to make a comment
that's really going to push somebody to accuse her of doing that.
Lo and behold, all it took was just her calling Aaron boring
and then Aaron finding out from Carol that she said she was boring.
That's all it took.
And I like the prop work, the jam in the month.
And I also like the prop work where the jam in the month is actually
bougie jam.
Very good jam.
It could just be some weird magazine jam that you find on the side of the road.
It's not.
It's good jam.
So she actually went the extra mile to do that.
But this was unwarranted, but still funny.
I'm okay with it.
This is probably the best case scenario is Aaron being the one to call it out because of the crash course that Aaron's on with seemingly everybody on the show.
Go ahead, rip off the band-aid Aaron, get into it and just do it right now at Passover in someone else's house.
Best way to do it.
I agree.
And, you know, that wraps up the episode.
Honestly, we get the questions in a second.
but yeah, those are my only two things is Jessel and Aaron.
And right now, for me, they are on even playing field.
I don't think one's better or worse than the other.
I think they're in a very similar spot.
And we just need to work through the first season blues and just get to where we need to go.
Yeah, that's it.
Yeah.
Let's get to some questions.
First one up here from Kay Messnick.
Does anyone find Aaron or Jessel tolerable?
Neither of them are giving good television.
That's the difference.
This is the thing.
Tolerable people don't typically give bad television.
Usually it's completely intolerable people.
They give very good television.
You don't want to be around these people.
You wouldn't want to be friends with these people,
but you will make good TV in some capacity.
Just let it go.
I know you don't like them,
but it's going to be okay.
Yeah, see, I knew that this is going to be the question.
It's pretty much all of this.
It's like Carrie DeFalise.
I watch a lot of bravo.
and don't get rich people phased.
The popcorn ceiling bit,
be fucking for real, Jessel, yawn emoji.
Yeah, I knew that was going to.
I agree with that.
That's, that one I completely agree with.
Like, Jessel clowning people for not
seemingly having as much money as she does,
but she doesn't seemingly have a lot of money.
It doesn't make a ton of sense.
So that is open season.
Go for that.
But more of the,
the Jessel versus Aaron stuff is,
is where I can see why people are going to get upset about it.
I would just ask that they have some tolerance because T-Gal now asked,
are Aaron and Jessel trying too hard?
Their feud feels so forced quotes around feud.
I don't think they like each other.
I really don't.
I don't think they like each other whatsoever.
I think this is real and I think they're budding heads.
And maybe it's not coming off in a good way.
And maybe there's better things to do than have rehearsed one-liners and zingers, as Aaron says.
But I think it'll work its way out.
I do too.
I think it's going to be fine.
I just think we need to get through it.
Like I have said it 30 times now.
Like this is literally every question in here.
This is really funny.
Janice Ingram 360, team Aaron or team Jessel.
Team Aaron 100%.
Jessel, please get over yourself.
Eat some popcorn.
Janice said that.
Not me.
Yeah.
Again, I'm right down the middle currently.
I don't have.
I'm on Aaron's side.
I'm like, I'm literally in the middle.
Lindsay Bucks.
Steele, did you say you watch this in the sauna?
Are people creeped out by you taking notes in there?
Probably.
Yeah.
They probably are.
But I'm still going to do it.
Temperature of the sauna today is a balmy, 102 degrees.
I write that my notes.
I've noticed that my knees are sweating a little bit more than they did yesterday.
I take notes about the show, dude, not what's going on in the sauna.
I'm aware of that.
That's what they think.
That's what they think.
Got it.
Yeah.
Fair enough.
That's fair.
valid i see why it's weird
I'm doing it
uh from shoshi davis the new girls
and carol are the best part about this re-reboot
jessel stop rehearsing lines yes
i agree i understand yes
totally again it's gonna work its way out it'll be okay
this one is an interesting take from jennifer m to m
i think bravo missed the mark on making erin the villain when it's
clearly jessel i don't know if we have a clear cut villain yet
like and again villain is a relative term
We're not necessarily saying like, oh, evil mastermind.
But it could flip-flop.
Like, it could be Jessel.
If she continues to kind of alienate people as she tends to do and Aaron is able to mend some of these bridges, which we've seen her do, it's not out of the realm of possibility that you see Jessel take on that role.
The question mark there is Aaron seems comfortable at least for now in being that person.
You know, like with the lice thing.
And she was like, I'm going to bring my life over to your house, give it to your kids.
She's like, oh, Zinger and I just kept going.
It seems like she's finally comfortable in this role, which I'm fine with.
But she very easily could mend those bridges, be friends with people.
And take the route of, see, this is what I was talking about with Jessel.
And then they start, you know, it could easily flip flop.
Yeah.
I would rather not flip flop.
I do not want Jessel to be the villain because I do not have any faith in her ability
to do what Aaron does.
I think that Aaron can do this.
I think that I think that Aaron can do these things
and still be friends with these women.
I think if it turns to Jessel and she gets pressed,
she's just going to make more obnoxious comments,
further alienate herself and not have any friends.
I think that Erin can handle it.
And I think that that's what we saw over those first two seasons.
She could not handle it at the beginning because she didn't want to be that person.
She got pushed to being that person.
Now she is that person,
but she's able to maintain all of this and still have this.
Like this,
the moment at the end of this episode,
which is the two be continued,
so we don't know how it goes.
But with Haley,
it could go a number of different ways.
There is an infinite possibility in terms of what Haley's going to do back
and how this is going to kind of shake out within the group.
Haley could have a very funny comment back.
She could also cry at that table.
She could also start going after Aaron for the things that she,
like there's so many things that could happen.
And she opened that door by being so crazy as to take it up to the end of degree.
Jessel can't do any of those things.
Like she just, we know what to expect.
And what we expect is her to have rehearsed lines.
She can be good for the show.
It's just not what she's doing now and it's not being the villain.
Aaron can do those things.
Yeah, I also don't think that she would like to be labeled that.
I think like, like Aaron has gotten enough shit over the years to be like, yeah, okay, fine.
You want me to be this.
She's friends with Lindsay now.
Like, she's close friends with Lindsay Hubbard now.
She's definitely gotten a talk into and understands what that role means.
It's a really good point.
So yeah, yeah, I don't know.
I agree.
Yeah, and the rest of these questions are pretty much all the same.
People talking about Jessel or Aaron.
Jacqueline Michelle Kress spelled it Jizzle, G-I-Z-Z-E-L.
Yes, yeah, I saw that.
So I just wanted to highlight that one.
J-E-S-E-L is how it's the correct spelling.
Yep, explain why so many of you like Jizzle.
J-Z-L.
I can't see it.
She's Ramona 2.0.
No, I don't think she's Ramona.
She's jizzled jizzles in a world of her own.
Look, in season one,
I do remember the beginning of the season being similar to this,
not in what was happening, but in the vibe.
I remember it took us a while to warm up to Jessel.
Yeah.
If I remember correctly,
and correct me if I'm wrong,
I think she settled into the,
group a bit more later on in the season.
I don't think she was so much out on an island like she is right now where it's just like
too pretentious to even care about anybody in the group.
Like, oh, turn your nose up, not really invest in the scene, not really seemingly invest in
the show.
It's almost like you're watching Jessel.
And she thinks this show is called Jessel.
Everyone's looking at me.
It's all about me.
And that doesn't work, especially in an ensemble cast.
What I do know is that.
she can do this. We've seen her be a good housewife. She was good the second half of that season.
She really was. It wasn't like a random shot in the dark that she got Vanity Fair.
What was she on Saturday Night Live? Like she had a few things. So look, she's capable.
You've seen her do it. Don't jump the ship yet. Let's just give it some fucking time. But there is,
there's likeability to Jessel. There is. It's just, this is not it yet. Yeah, agreed.
But yeah, we'll see how it goes. We just.
and plead with all of you.
Give it a chance.
Don't fail because two people are pissing you off.
People piss you off and casts all the time.
Look at OC.
Okay, I will always go back there.
All right,
we always have shows where you don't like some of the women.
That's okay.
That's normal on a housewife show.
You don't like two out of the six.
We're good.
So hang in there for the love of God.
Hang in there.
Please.
But anyway,
we got to go eat dinner because we have to watch Salt Lake
and then record immediately.
after. It's going to be a long night for the boys. So that's all I got. Got anything else? Nope. Well,
that's our show. Brough bros are out of here. For eight years, we've been asking the same question
over and over again. How did this happen? My name's Mandy. And I'm Melissa, and we're the host of
