What's up bros?? Well, you asked (Shooter offered) and it was delivered, he's buzzing for the Valley recap and it did make things a little funnier for what's quickly become the worst show on televisio...n. Interestingly enough, we can actually see how this show might be tolerable if you just get rid of the two worst people around in Danny & Nia. Maybe it's the drinks talking but there might be a chance to salvage this show - will the do it? No. probably not. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Starting point is 00:00:57 As you guys know, Shooter's on vacation. He's in full-blown, like, vacay mode, and I was feeling left out. So I thought I'd pop on the shades so that we could have a little bonding moment. I can feel like I'm on vacaycay vicariously through you via sunglasses. Yeah, I'm very inviting. I also promise you guys that I would be incredibly drunk to the Valley episode. And it works perfectly. I hope I make all of you incredibly uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Because uncomfortable is apparently the word of the episode. So let's see how uncomfortable we can get, guys. Why not? As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be... Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine.
Starting point is 00:01:45 Hi, I'm Karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Brov Bros. Good evening, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Brov Bros. Your favorite podcast from The Bros. For everybody, for whoever wants to listen, I am your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by the one and always. the shooter, buzzed gooter.
Starting point is 00:02:05 What's up, dude? Oh, we're beyond buzzed. I also love these. You joined me in the sunglass game, and I absolutely love it. Strength and solidarity, brother. I love these sunglasses because I've been inside. And a lot of people commented yesterday about me wearing them in. And there was a lot of, like, discourse about if I was being cool or corny.
Starting point is 00:02:25 The answer is yes, for sure. Today, I think the sunglasses are necessary because my eyes are probably a little droopy but the best thing about these sunglasses is when you're in the sun they darken so you can't see my eyes but right now because I'm inside you can kind of see my eyes so you might be able to see a little droopiness it's it's great um way better than talking about the valley I'll tell you what holy hell I was watching this episode on the beach I laughed audibly and I'm so thankful for having a couple of drinks on the beach while watching this episode because I don't know how I take it. I mean, Jesus.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Like, we talk about the Danny Apologist every episode. There shouldn't be any left. Like, now it's, it should be gone. Like, not talking about the drinking anymore. Like, how could anybody look at this guy and be like, wow, he's, he's a nice guy. He's interesting. He sucks.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Beyond belief. Like, the last defender should have fallen down. Should be laying down on the back of a van after this one. Like, this was incredible. This guy stinks. I agree. I mean, we can take the drinking out of it for one sec. He's just boring anyway. He's not an entertaining character.
Starting point is 00:03:36 But that was my issue with this episode is that I'll get it out of the way now because something happens when you talk about the same topic over and over and over again. And that's what's happening here, which is driving me crazy because obviously later on we're going to get to Danny dancing and the fact he's like, oh, I'm going to make everybody uncomfortable, uncomfortable, uncomfortable. You dancing doesn't make people uncomfortable. You grabbing ass makes people uncomfortable. But what happens when people keep repeating the same thing over and over again for a long period of time, it's over-discussed and then it loses its weight. It no longer carries the same weight because people hear it and go,
Starting point is 00:04:17 oh, this again? It's like, no, this is still the same thing of him being inappropriate while drinking. But somehow we have moved past that and gotten to the point where Danny and Nia are playing victim in this whole thing, but we have yet to take accountability for the thing. And that's what's driving me crazy. Because you don't just get to keep talking about it and you're like, oh, well, this is played out. Can we just move the fuck on? Sure.
Starting point is 00:04:41 If you do one thing, just one goddamn thing, you just have to say, yeah, I understand where you're coming from. I want to be able to drink in front of you guys without doing anything to make anybody uncomfortable. You're not referencing the fact that you're the problem. You are the problem, Danny. No one else is the problem. You're the problem. And all you have to do is take accountability and everybody would shut up. And we could move on from this goddamn topic, but you're not doing that.
Starting point is 00:05:07 And instead, you're going to flip it and you're going to go up to the person who's asked you grabbed and say, I'm about to make everybody uncomfortable. Why would you say that to the person that you made uncomfortable? You dumb shit like you, ah, it's really annoying. It's very annoying. This episode annoyed me. He annoys me. Nia annoys me. It's just, it's annoying.
Starting point is 00:05:27 It's funny, too, because I texted you from the beach and I said, what a joke of an episode. And you were like, well, I think it was actually a little bit better. At least they were having, which I agree with. They were having fun. There's not a ton of content. But thankfully, for the episode that I planned on being a little drunk for, we just get to just rip apart, Danny.
Starting point is 00:05:45 And I am so excited for that. But I just, look, it's part on the cast. as well because like even flashing over to jesse i like kind of like anyway when lacy says later in the episode about like jesse and brittney kind of arguing back and forth hey stop just like leave her alone never do that again then going through her confessional and being like well i mean he's not wrong it's just wrong the way he's going about it i appreciate that and i think that is something that the rest of the cast needs to understand however i don't think they understand it and i also don't think they actually think that.
Starting point is 00:06:21 I do think that they are kind of tired of talking about Danny and Nia. Danny's drinking, whether or not they're showing enough on camera. Like they want to talk about other things, which like in the grand scheme of things, I kind of understand. I'm tired of Danny's drinking, but we have yet to move on from it because he's not doing it. But also, they're not understanding. None of them have held him accountable. Janet's not able to do it.
Starting point is 00:06:46 And look, Janet's, I don't know exactly what's going on with all. all this. We're going to have to wait until next week when she starts talking about the things that might be triggering her. So we'll have to get like a full scope on that. So I'm going to leave that part of it out until we get the full story. But for Janet to like, I don't know. I don't want to seem like a Janet apologist, but I do think that people are going to call me that and I don't really give a shit right now. I think that she is kind of alone. And when she's calling out Danny's drinking and then you have Kristen going after her and Nia, this was a terrible Nia episode. Because not only was she making excuses for her husband, which is what she's been doing,
Starting point is 00:07:24 and yes, she's been running away from a lot of shit, she's starting to turn. She's starting to turn it on other people. That shows me, Nia is also not a good person. This is no longer a Nia has to deal with Danny for the rest of her life, and she's making excuses for him to make her life seem a little bit better, and we have to feel bad for Nia. You and I stop feeling bad for Nia about like six episodes ago. This is a turn.
Starting point is 00:07:46 This is a, oh, no, you're actually orchestrating some of it, You're actually starting to turn this into something else. But it's only because the rest of the cast is helping her do that by not just looking at Danny. And thank God, I never thought I'd say this. And what, for the 20th time this season? The next episode's preview of Lala looking at Danny and being like, what the what the wrong with you? It's finally cooler heads have prevailed.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Finally, somebody who's logical has actually just looked at Danny and be like, what the fuck is going on with all of this? This makes no sense. You're making people uncomfortable. If he said that a million times at the club, any normal person in their right minds, any person who's listening to our podcast right now would look at Danny and be like,
Starting point is 00:08:31 dude, shut up. Fuck up. We're tired of you. You're annoying at base. Then you start drinking and you're incredibly annoying. And then you have this other layer where you start making people feel uncomfortable and you start dancing on girls and grabbing ass. You're a piece of shit.
Starting point is 00:08:48 like i just it's a bizarre world it really is and the only thing that goes through my mind especially now because you've been in mexico for like three episodes i remember back to like the vpr episodes and my girlfriend was bringing this up earlier she's like do you think that like schwartz and la la are like hanging out with them looking around like wow we had it made on bpr going to mexico we had so much fun now we have to deal with this bullshit now we have to do with daddy acting like he's making people uncomfortable and pouting in a corner what a loser It was just such a weird thing to, like, play out that way because it's just negating any wrongdoing whatsoever. And my whole thing is, like, if everybody is saying something in regards to you drinking and them being uncomfortable in some capacity, you don't get to, like, stomp your feet and wine and that changes.
Starting point is 00:09:45 They're still uncomfortable when you drink. and that we've used this so many times. I know it's tired guys. I know you don't want to sit there. Let's know us do this. It's all we got. That's what they have put on the TV, so we have to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:09:57 But this whole defense, and it's become the default defense of everything, well, Britney's got a drinking problem, and Zach's got a drink of prom, and this and that. They don't make people feel uncomfortable. And the one example that Nia tried to use was Jesse, giving a lap,
Starting point is 00:10:17 to like Jason or something or licking his face. I was like that is not even in the same ballpark. By the way, ask Jason what Jason thinks about it. He'd be like, yeah, Jesse was being drunk and a little annoying. He didn't feel uncomfortable. He didn't feel like Jesse was sexually assaulting him. No. That's not how that works.
Starting point is 00:10:37 It doesn't equate. That was the exact moment that I'm like, oh, okay. Now we're doing that. Yeah, yeah. Now we're doing this. you're likening your husband grabbing Jasmine's ass or grabbing Melissa's ass, sorry, and then looking at Jasmine and saying grab Daddy a drink. And by the way, again, we have to revisit this. Janet's probably not wrong when other people were like,
Starting point is 00:11:01 yeah, Danny makes me feel a little bit weird. And he was looking at fans and probably like grabbing them a little bit. It's probably all true. Allegedly. All of those things were going on. Thank you. I'm going to need you big time in this episode. Yeah, I'd need you to drop it allegedly too.
Starting point is 00:11:15 just go ahead. Alleged. Thank you. Yeah. Gotcha. But likening what Jesse was doing when everyone's like, all right, dude, like, get the fuck off me. Or some of them were probably like, oh, you're kind of funny.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Like, we're having a good time. This is okay. We're friends. Doing that with your weirdo husband is insane. And that's where Nia's come from. And I'm happy that we did this a couple of episodes. It's minimizing what Melissa felt. It's minimizing the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:11:43 Like that's what, by equating. it to what had occurred with Jason and Jesse, you are saying what happened with Melissa and Jasmine is a non-factor. It's a non-issue because nobody said they were uncomfortable. If Jason had said, I'm wildly uncomfortable and had a whole talk about it afterwards, that's his prerogam. You're allowed to be uncomfortable at that moment, but he wasn't uncomfortable. And it's not the same thing.
Starting point is 00:12:07 And by doing that, you are completely taking away the gravity of what Melissa and Jasmine are going through. Well, fun little spin zone too, because we get another instance of Janet crushing on Michelle this episode. Do you think when Michelle and Jesse were together that Janet would ever talk to Jason and be like, maybe like a little swinger action? Oh, like a little swing? I don't know. I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:12:34 She has touched. I know she does, but part of me thinks that's like to appeal to the camera a little bit. Like, oh, like, ha-ha. Michelle's high. I actually really don't know. I mean, I think like, objectively speaking, I think Michelle is gorgeous. So I wouldn't be surprised. And also, Michelle has Janet's back.
Starting point is 00:12:53 So it's also just like kind of like the close proximity. I'm very thankful for Michelle in this episode. Not only with the scenes with Jesse, because I feel like it's a little bit more open. We've gone a long way. That's the only thing that I think we can point to in this season where we started in a very weird place with Michelle and Jesse. It's now 13, 14 episodes, wherever the hell we are. were somewhere in the middle of the season and they've gotten to a point
Starting point is 00:13:18 where it's like, okay, you guys are talking about real shit. Like, yeah, I know it's, I know it's bizarre to be in this situation, but you guys are actually both handling it pretty fucking well. Lacey, as weird as she is, she's handling it pretty well. She's a great mediator. I think, like, in my heart of hearts watching this
Starting point is 00:13:36 because I'm trying to just block out all the weird Danny noise, that's the most compelling storyline of this entire season. Agreed. the three of them, Michelle's growth, Jesse's growth. And even Jesse looking and being like, no one's really acknowledging that there's a new Jesse. And then Jesse realizing like, oh, yeah, Michelle's not realizing that there's a new Jesse because she wanted all of this
Starting point is 00:13:57 while we were together. There's a lot there. There really is. And if we dug deeper into that and that was the main focus of this whole season, we'd be in a much better place because I think that's a lot more normal for what we wanted to watch the valley for, what we wanted to watch people in like their late 30s, 40s, whatever. going through life, going through divorce, being with other people, like, that's compelling.
Starting point is 00:14:17 And that's what the show should be built on. Instead, we have to spend 40 minutes talking about Danny's drinking. Every week. And now he feels empowered. And now he's looking at other people like, oh, okay, I can't do anything because you guys are just going to bring up. Like, what, it's bizarre. It really is, honestly. Ooh, tomato, tomato.
Starting point is 00:14:40 But let's jump into this episode. There's not a ton of content. That's why we did a nice long preamble there. But we're in the Janet aftermath. And some things come to light here. And I think it's important that we reference that. And I also think my big takeaway here, finally, is we have somebody on Team Janet, on Team Jason.
Starting point is 00:15:05 I don't even want to say Team Janics. People are going to say like, oh, Janet Apologist. It's just we're team not Danny. Whatever that means, that's what team we're on. And in this moment, you finally have Michelle, who's trying to jump in and mediate a little bit because Nia's like, well, she's sorry about, or no, Michelle says she's sorry about the word she used, but not sorry because he's the one that didn't. She's like, oh, I know that. I'm like, no, did you hear it though? Again, she wants an apology for what had happened.
Starting point is 00:15:36 You're not doing that part. And then Michelle just like blankly states, she's asking Danny to take a. accountability. Period. That's all. That's all we've needed the entire season. It's all we need now. But instead of doing that, Nia just placates and side steps and goes, ha, ha. Well, everyone keeps attacking my perfect husband, my little magic mic, if you will. I don't need to keep seeing this fucking shit. It's driving me up a goddamn wall. And to my GD people out there, I do apologize. I've said it a few times. I try not to say it. It just kind of slips out. But all of this stuff is going on. And on the other side, you have Janet outside on the phone.
Starting point is 00:16:16 I'm starting to genuinely feel bad for her in these moments, especially now we get more information. It appears as though Janet has gone through something in this realm, in her past. And Danny doing what he did has triggered something. So it's making her very uncomfortable, even more so than just because of this Danny thing. And I think that if you look at that, then look at the grand scheme of everything that has occurred over the last two years. it starts to make a lot more sense. I was already on that side of the street anyway with Janet, but now that that is another layer to this whole thing,
Starting point is 00:16:53 and I don't want to speculate too much until she talks about it, if she talks about it. I think she will next episode, yeah. I think so too. But if we do learn that, and then this occurs, and then she's watching a guy not really take accountability, and I think the big thing they like to fall back on
Starting point is 00:17:12 the fact that Danny apologized to Jasmine last year. But if we go back to last year, the initial apology wasn't good enough. Jasmine was still upset. Melissa was still upset. And I think that was something like this. I don't think there's like an end date where it's like you can't bring that up anymore. It's like, no, people still feel some type of way because you have not done your job to put them at ease or to make them feel as though this is, this is it.
Starting point is 00:17:39 This is it. you have not made people feel as though this would never happen again, which means that your behavior when you're drunk and shit like that is still enough for them to be like, eh, I don't love it. Don't love it. And I know what he's capable of. But you haven't done your job to rectify this situation and make your friends feel comfortable.
Starting point is 00:17:59 It's not a witch hunt. You're a dickhead. No, absolutely. And I think there's a lot of people at the camp of not liking Danny, condemning his behavior, but also really not liking Janet and suspecting that she does a lot of things for camera, which I think is true. But for something like this,
Starting point is 00:18:18 I would hope the majority of those people would hold out. Like we said in the beginning of the episode, like you just said right now, holds out for the whole story. I know that a lot of people are going to jump to the, uh, here she goes again. She's making things up.
Starting point is 00:18:31 She's doing this. Like that's, I look, neither here nor there. We're never going to be like, oh, you're making something up. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:18:38 hear the whole story, figure it out. If there's people out there, they're calling bullshit, I think it's a weird thing they call bullshit on. I think you should shut up. Yeah, I think you should probably shut the fuck up. And if it makes her feel weird, start looking at it differently. Start looking at it like we're looking at it.
Starting point is 00:18:54 The rest of the cast is apologizing or making weird excuses for Danny's behavior. Danny has not done that. Go back to last season. Like you said, there was a first apology. Didn't get enough. He went back. apologized again with Jasmine and Melissa and what did he do he went to his confessional and said
Starting point is 00:19:13 i don't know why i have to do this again this is now on steroids now we're in season three of danny fully on steroids doing all of this shit and now he doesn't want to deal with it anymore that's what he's gotten away with his entire life he's done weird shit he's been a weird dude and no one's ever really held him accountable his weird wife is now standing as a stonewall in front no we're not going to do this in the past she's She's been a bit of a victim. We feel bad for her. Lala even said while Danny's yelling at her back in wherever the fuck they were, San Diego,
Starting point is 00:19:46 she felt bad for Nia. I haven't felt bad for Nia in like six episodes. I don't feel bad for her anymore. No one should feel bad for anymore. Once the behavior starts to turn and she's looking at other people, weird. It's just bizarre. It's very bad behavior. And it's only coming from and it's stemming from all of the other people,
Starting point is 00:20:07 either turning a blind eye, either being tired of the storyline, not wanting to talk about it anymore, or Kristen Doty, who's just bagpiped the shit out of both of them. It's weird. And when Brittany does it later and she starts talking about it, it is bizarre when Kristen is telling Britney that like you're my number one and then sitting down. Like I understand while we're talking about all this at the lunch table. Like, yeah, they all drink. We all drink.
Starting point is 00:20:32 We all do weird things when we drink and we all weird behaviors. You guys are assholes when you. drink. You guys run amok. You guys run down the street. You end up slapping somebody. Whatever. You talk shit. You say mean things. In the great scene of things, it's not that big of a deal. A dude grabbing a girl's ass at a bar when he's drunk and never understanding why that's wrong. And then following it up with a daddy a drink. And also never actually apologizing or clearly never feeling bad about it. Never feeling sorry. for it, never understanding why what he did was wrong.
Starting point is 00:21:10 He just wants to move past it. And now his wife is helping him do it. Like, how are they not immediately skewered? They have to be. It's unbelievable at this point. And again, Michelle, the MVP of the season, standing up and talking about Janet, like, yes, I know we talk about Schwartz and La, all the time. Schwartz going over to Janet, big telltale side. He understands these people are fucking weird, very bizarre.
Starting point is 00:21:34 let me go over, check in on her. Michelle standing up and actually speaking the truth for once and talking about Danny's behavior and being like, look, we could put all of this behind us. If you guys could just be like, look, it's bizarre. He shouldn't have done these things. We can move forward. He'll be on his best behavior.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Instead, now we have a nagging Danny who can't dance and it's bullshit. It's so, it is so weird. It is so unbelievably weird to watch. And I honestly, I've never watched somebody on reality TV that deserve to punch the face more than Danny. That's what I've been saying. And like that's the funny thing. And then we'll keep trucking. Because I don't want to get stuck on this every time.
Starting point is 00:22:16 It's just there's a lot of frustration when you have to watch and discuss the same shit all the time. We'll save the big, the big, what was the one from yesterday? The explosion of excitement. Oh, explosion of excitement for the end. Yeah. But no, I agree. I think the main thing here is, like, like no one has the smoke for Danny.
Starting point is 00:22:36 We've had a couple of conversations that were pretty gentle, but we have yet to see somebody hold his feet to the fire and say, hey, this is why they're bad. Please go fix it. But we'll get to that more later. We get to the pool side. And Janet's text message from earlier comes up. Lacey, again, I like Lacey.
Starting point is 00:22:57 I think she's done a good job this season, but you don't have the full scope of the situation. So her being like, can they get off of Danny's neck? It's like, no, please step harder on daddy's neck. She's too wishy-washy. She has a great personality for reality TV, but she's way too wishy-washy. I agree. I think that's like what it comes down to.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Yeah, I agree. But we're on the beach with Luke Lala and Brittany. And they're talking about Doty. She's feeling better. He's like, yeah, she's feeling a lot better today. She's kind of chilled out a little bit. She's been apologetic. And I'm glad.
Starting point is 00:23:29 And honestly, I think Brittany should have had. I'm not blaming anybody here, but I think it would have been really helpful for Luke had Brittany sat him down weeks ago and just had the same conversation. Like, hey, this is not forever. This is temporary. She's going through so much. It's not personal. Like, if she had laid all of that out for him and he had more of a blueprint, maybe it would have been handled a little bit better. And I see a lot of people in our comments that are like, well, give Luke a break and this and that.
Starting point is 00:24:00 It's like, we're not saying that Luke's a terrible. person. I'm not saying he's a bad dude. It's just like in these scenarios, I think he could have handled himself better. I think if they have another kid or weren't to have another kid, he would do things a little bit differently. And he would, he would have a lot more grace because his biggest shortcoming is just by like, he throws little things in there that you don't need to throw in there where he, they'll be going back and forth. He's like, well, I can't even go fishing. It's like, ah, bro. We're not talking about fishing right now. Like, don't bring a fishing right now. Like, don't bring up fishing right now. That's pretty stupid to bring up fishing right now.
Starting point is 00:24:34 And you've done it multiple times. So that's, I think, go ahead. Oh, no, I was just content. Like, that's literally all it is. And it's all just us watching, like we say all the time, it's us watching something that we really shouldn't be preview. Oh, God, don't. Like, they'll get through it. They'll be okay.
Starting point is 00:24:52 The big downfall for all of this. And like you said, there's going to be people that are looking at Britney, like, oh, you should have sat him down and talked about it weeks ago. She could have, I don't know if even. Brittany knew what it's been. No, it's absolutely not. But I thought, like, this scene was cool.
Starting point is 00:25:10 I thought Brittany really handled it was up for a while. I really don't like. She's had a great second half. She's had a great second half of this season. She really has. Honestly, like, she went through surgery. Since then,
Starting point is 00:25:22 she's done so much better. I think she had a lot on her mind early. She also had the jack shit. I think it was the jack shit being lifted off of her shoulders and chest, I guess. For sure. most specific. And I do think like, and when we talk about it later with Jesse and everything, like, yes, I do think like she was involved in some of the Jack's things, but that's probably just what she was used to. Whatever. For all of these things,
Starting point is 00:25:43 we watched her talk to, uh, talk to Luke while she was walking back to the room the night before, gave some pretty solid advice, stood on Chris inside, very firmly, got through to him. He understood it. And then he showed up with the room later. Now she has a moment to talk to him sober, get through everything. And I thought Luke received it pretty well. I also thought that Brittany did a good job of having Kristen's back the whole time while also understanding that Luke is Kristen's partner. Like she did a great job.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Like this was one of the most sound and logical aspects of the entire episode, probably of the entire season. I've never seen Britney do anything like this ever, really. And even later when she's like, look, I might get drunk all the time, but like I'm never mean. that might be true. That is kind of true. She is drunk a lot of the time, but she's never actually mean. And I do think she has her friends back.
Starting point is 00:26:40 And I thought that this scene was a very good sign of where she is with Kristen, where she is with Luke, and also understanding where she came from and all the things that she had to go through. Like she does have that perspective. And I do think moving forward, if she can do more things like this
Starting point is 00:26:54 and be this type of person, she'll be great. She'll be very good in this group of friends. There's just people. of this group that have to go away for the show to actually succeed like this is I do really think that like this episode and maybe we've said this in the past so I'm I'm sorry if we have but I think this episode was a very clear idea of what we can watch on this show without the two people that bring everything down look at
Starting point is 00:27:25 everybody else in this show look at every single one of them they all had great time and there's two people that are constantly taking away from it. We get rid of them. You have a fine show. They weren't on the bus and they were having a great time on that party bus. And I think the important thing to note from this scene with Lala and with Britney and with Luke, Brittany has had Doty's back all season. Yep.
Starting point is 00:27:55 Forever. Never questioned that. but when Danny is being put through the ringer Doty's first person that she calls out is Brittany. Well, then Brittany, she said that like three times now. It's like that's not matching her energy. When Janet was saying that,
Starting point is 00:28:13 so last week at the end of last episode, when Janet starts talking about that, it does seem like a very clear cut Janet move. Okay. This isn't going the way that I wanted it to go. Let me deflect and make it everybody's problem. This episode, I think put that into perspective.
Starting point is 00:28:30 We needed this. We absolutely needed this because it brings everybody else into the fold. Now we're looking at everything because if you make it a personal problem to Brittany, to Jasmine, to Melissa, to Zach, then they'll get involved in all the Danny shit. If we're talking about them on the same level as Danny, now they're looking and they're like, well, while I don't really have a problem with Danny, now you're putting me on the same level. I'm not on Danny's level. It puts it into perspective.
Starting point is 00:28:56 now we can start talking about it. Now we can start figuring that out. I think that actually works really well. Not that I definitely know that Janet intended that, but at the same time, it works really well for us because it at least brings the rest of the group into it and forces them to address it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:13 And I think the more little things that we can find to kind of just shake the group and be like, can we, for the love of God, handle this correctly so we can move on. Yeah. I promise you. nobody wants to keep talking about this nobody wants to keep watching this you guys don't want to keep talking about it on the show you've said like you have said as much so let's do what needs to be done to be able to move on from this there's two holdouts that's all that's all
Starting point is 00:29:44 that's holding us back but we get a great scene with jesse and michel as we would talk about earlier they're close shopping and they're able to say like it's pretty happy that we're getting along really well. And I would like to keep this energy when Lacey arrives. That's what Michelle says. And, you know, Jesse B. Jesse is like, well, that's up to you. It's like, okay, you know, stay in the middle, meet in the middle, guys. And Michelle starts talking about watching Jesse be affectionate because he never was in their marriage. You know, he's watching him, like be all cutesy with Lacey. I agree with her in regards to like, hey, if I'm around, can you just not do it in my face?
Starting point is 00:30:26 And Jesse should be able to say, yeah, no problem. There is another factor here, though. If Jesse was mature, this wouldn't matter, but Jesse's not. So he's going to play the card. I had to watch you with Aaron all year last year. So now you've got to watch me. He's not wrong. Like, she is the first one to do it.
Starting point is 00:30:46 They were cutesy holding hands and all that stuff. So I see where he's coming from. But at the same time, I think it would have. I don't think it's a bad thing that he's like, no, I think it's kind of a dick move. But I do understand that because of Aaron, it's not completely unfounded. But in the grand scheme of their relationship moving forward, he could have scored a shitload of brownie points right there and really smooth things over. If he was like, no problem, I'll try to keep it to a minimum. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:15 I think this is classified as actually real. I think because Jesse's a dick What he does is a dick move I think if he was the greatest guy in the world And this conversation popped up We might be looking at it differently like well I mean like Michelle Last year you did have Aaron around and he was a weirdo She was trying to sell weirdos honey while hiking
Starting point is 00:31:39 That's kind of bizarre And you did introduce Isabella to Aaron Very early on and talk about moving in with him So honestly they move in? I thought they did move in. They did very briefly, but I think once she moved in, like within like three or four months, they were done. But they were moved in, right?
Starting point is 00:32:01 Yeah. I'm pretty sure. Don't quote us on that. I thought they were. Yeah, don't quote us on that. New York Times, if you're listening, don't quote us on that. Nobody's a deal. No, no. Nobody else. But yeah, I mean, I do think because Jesse is at base level a dick and everybody knows he's a dick, if he does anything that's kind of tip or tat, immediately it's a dick.
Starting point is 00:32:22 He's a dick. And I do agree with you. I think when at the end of this conversation, when he's talking about like the new Jesse, I think the new quote unquote Jesse would have been like, okay. Yeah. Would have been like, look, I hear where you're coming from.
Starting point is 00:32:38 It's bizarre. Like break the fourth wall if you want to. We wouldn't be hanging out together all the time if it wasn't for the show. And I get it. It's okay. I'll try to tone it down as much as possible. I won't let you see it as much as possible. I'll keep it away from you.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I don't want to make you feel weird. We're in a good spot because they really are in a good spot. And that's like the one thing that I really appreciate is the two of them walking around like shopping for things and like, look, Isabella would love this. Isabel would love that. And that's the one thing that no one, at least nobody that I've seen, including us has ever pointed out like they both love their daughter equally. That is an equal partnership there. So if they can get back to that good level, they'll be fine.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Now, do I want to take it to the 10th level? Kind of. They should get back together. I mean, maybe Lacey is just a means to an end in showing Jesse that affection is cool. And then once him and Lacey break up, him and Michelle get back together. Michelle deserves better. Jesse. No.
Starting point is 00:33:35 For sure. Here's the difference. But Lacey can handle Jesse in his bullshit. She keeps him in check. She keeps him in like very well. Like she'll do it in front of people, which I very much enjoy. I think it's really funny when she's like, don't do that. Okay, good boy.
Starting point is 00:33:47 You think we'll see Lacey on like OC at some point? Look, I think that she could hold her own. Like, I think that she's shown that she can do reality TV pretty well. But because of how she's able to handle and manage Jesse, I don't think Michelle can do that. I don't want, she deserves better than Jesse.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Jesse's not a good dude. Like, he's entertaining, but he's not like a, he's not a catch by any means. Dude's drought. He can't pay for his kids health insurance. This guy's,
Starting point is 00:34:15 he sucks. Let's be real. Michelle is, I really like Michelle. And I think that the other part is like, seeing her this season not bogged down by Jesse, she's been delightful. But that does bring up a question. It does beg a question for me now that we're talking about,
Starting point is 00:34:35 you know, Jesse and Michelle with her skinny dipping, with her dancing on the bar, all that stuff, which is like slightly out of character. I think she should live her life, love it, you do you. do you think that that's in response to Jesse being affectionate and stuff like that? She's like,
Starting point is 00:34:53 I'm going to show him what he's missing out on because I missed out on that. But like I can also be like fun and kind of crazy. Do you think she's trying to get like a little attention from him or do you think she's living her best life? No. Oh, maybe. See what I mean? Yeah, no. A little bit.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Compelling argument. I originally would have said absolutely not. I'll put it like 20% maybe which is sizable and fine I think it's more oh god the only example that I have is Amanda Battoa
Starting point is 00:35:27 I know she's terrible but like that's the closest example that I have had a bad marriage now she's living her life she's all right let's put it this way she is living the life that Amanda
Starting point is 00:35:45 should have lived. Yeah. Yes. That makes sense. For all of us who were watching Summerhouse and realizing like, okay, their marriage is over, now we get to see a bit of a glow up for Amanda. She's going to go live her life and enjoy herself. She's still young.
Starting point is 00:35:59 She could still, she's still a catch. She's going to be fine. Amanda is no longer a catch. She may have caught something allegedly. Wait, really? West T.D. Oh, I was like, wait, that's got. It's like, when did that rumor drop?
Starting point is 00:36:14 All right. my bad but i i do think that like that's that's mostly what michel's doing now is she had that weird like bounce back that weird rebounds with a very bizarre guy who was showing her a lot of weird affection that's the only way i can put arren i don't know just like and honey i don't know dude he he still gives me the hebie jibis yeah but he was clearly like infringing even before her and jesse actually broke up he was clearly infringing so yeah as soon as they were done, he stepped in.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Michelle didn't really have that opportunity to explore and enjoy yourself. Maybe you could say Aaron and West are kind of close together. Now I'm getting lost in all of that. Yeah, that's sort of. I think that's closer to like what Michelle's doing right now. She's just enjoying yourself.
Starting point is 00:37:04 I do think this is actually a good group to enjoy yourself with in a very weird way. I think if her and Lala can become friends, that's cool. I think that makes a ton of sense for the two. of that because they both have kids, well, kid, kids, but they can both just be single, good-looking late 30s, just enjoy themselves. I think that's what Michelle's doing, but I do think like, yeah, there is a little bit of credence to what you're saying. Yeah, I just, just a little bit. Not in like a not a lot, not a way or like, kind of like, huh, I wonder if that thought has
Starting point is 00:37:36 entered her mind ever so slightly. And this is what thought has entered my mind is I should have a couple of drinks before we do every podcast because this is a great time. Yeah, I think our audience may vote for that too. But that takes us actually to the skinny dipping scene. And we do get a little glimpse. If you look on the beach, you do get Janet and Nia kind of talking. You know, they're talking about everybody out there. They're talking about coconuts.
Starting point is 00:38:06 That's literally all we need is this kind of cordiality. but that's not going to be met unless they take accountability. But it was just like a brief glimpse of like, wait, we're having a fun scene. Janet and Nia are present. And the fun continues. Like, wow, I haven't seen this all year. That's pretty fucking crazy. But Jesse and Lacey are talking.
Starting point is 00:38:31 And there is a valid point that is also kind of the dagger for Janet in these situations. She does always leave. Every time shit starts to pop off, she leaves. And it's her prerogative. She's uncomfortable and there's more to this whole story. Sure. She can do what she wants. But it does give people ammo to be like, well, you never stay.
Starting point is 00:38:54 You never stick it out. We never can hash things out because it gets heated. You get up and you leave. So if that's your move, then how are we ever going to be able to move on from anything? So like that, while I get what she's doing, I also understand it from the perspective of like, we keep doing this and nothing's accomplished why I may have to sit here. But I won't defend it. I think that we do need just sit there, stick it out, hash it out, whatever happens, good, bad, and different.
Starting point is 00:39:23 Like, we need that to occur or we're never going to be able to move on. The war is over and both sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced to cinders, an army scattered like bones in the dust. Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world, praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight. But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins. This is old school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time. And when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job.

Subscribe now wherever you get your podcast. yeah do you think it would go differently if jason was on the trip probably not i you need like a sit down with a mediator that has jason and janet present and then like a couple of the the group like la la la la i think up until this point and again like the preview for next week looks awesome yeah i've never wanted to give them more la la la la
Starting point is 00:43:41 I do think Janet, Jason, Lala, maybe some, like Michelle, that's enough to at least kind of force everybody else to have a real discussion. And if you have, again, with what Janet told Brittany and Michelle, I think that's more than enough to actually force the issue. And I, weirdly enough, I'm not even looking for the end game of forcing the issue of Danny and Nia actually just addressing all of it and like actually taking accountability. I'm looking for the end game of,
Starting point is 00:44:16 hey, we feel really uncomfortable being on the show. We have to leave. Like that's what I want at this point. I don't want this to be resolved and I don't want them to continue. We are way past that. I want this to be so unbelievably contentious. And I need enough people in the cast to be like,
Starting point is 00:44:34 fuck you. I'm not filming with you. Screw you. I'm not going anywhere with you. I'm not drinking with you. I don't want to see you have a drink in your hands. or I'm running away. I needed to be that bad.
Starting point is 00:44:43 I needed to be so toxic that the two of them are like, whoa, we got to leave. We can't do this anymore. Go back to Santa Clarita. Like, I think last year, you and I probably would have agreed with like,
Starting point is 00:44:55 just some resolution, move forward, stop talking about it, have fun, enjoy yourselves anymore. I'm like, get the fuck off the show. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:45:02 no, I just needs to go back to Santa Clarita and not come back. I'm just over it. But you get to see with Janet, Brittany, Lala, Jasmine,
Starting point is 00:45:10 and Melissa, and Michelle's kind of debriefing from, because we had split groups earlier, so she's given the rundown. And she points out, like, they're putting everything on Janet. Like, all the shit that they're dealing with is Janet's fault. They found the common enemy.
Starting point is 00:45:25 It's easy to just pin it on her. But she lets Brittany know, like, by the way, they're talking shit about you guys because they say, if we're going to start with the drinking conversation, Doty's saying we should start with Britney, Jasmine, and Zach. So again, this gives a really good argument to that side because it's like they're willing to throw you under the bus and paint you like this just to defend Danny. Because again, here's what happens that we're not putting together, the math, if you want to math it.
Starting point is 00:45:57 By saying that Brittany, Jasmine, and Zach are comparable to Danny when drunk, you are saying that. that they are capable of doing the things that Danny did. That's what happens when you draw a comparison. So no, that's not the same thing. And because we've talked about it so often, it has now lost its oomph. So now we are not addressing that we're not talking really about Danny's drinking. It has turned into that.
Starting point is 00:46:33 What we're talking about is what happens when Danny drinks, versus what happens with the rest of the group. It's not that hard to put together, but the problem is when these conversations start with Danny and Nia present, that's never said. Nobody ever says that. And I'm like pulling my hair on like someone just like literally write it out for them. This is what we're talking about.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Don't do that and say you won't do that. And stop comparing it to other people in the group because they're not walking around, grabbing people by the ass and telling them, to get daddy a drink. Okay? It's pretty simple. And this was far in a way the best spin zone possible. Because it could have easily just been that blanket statement like, oh, we're talking about
Starting point is 00:47:17 Danny's drinking. Let's talk about everybody else, which is what we thought it was going to turn into. But I do really think that Janet had a little bit of time to think about it, spin it into something else. The timing is perfect because Brittany and Kristen sat down before the trip and talked about Kristen's relationship with Danny and Nia and whether. or not they were actually friends and why she's always defending them. Then we have Danny sitting down probably feeling exonerated because he actually had to
Starting point is 00:47:46 address the fact that he had a drink at Zach's party. And like we talked about last week, he didn't even cop to the white claw. Like clearly he's still hiding shit. That is the opportunity of a lifetime. You shouldn't get that opportunity, but they gave it to you on a silver platter. And it's Zach. And I love Zach, but he gave you the easiest out. ever look we don't care if you drink we understand that you feel uncomfortable while you're drinking
Starting point is 00:48:11 around these people because they're going to look at you and think that you're doing something weird we get it dude it's okay okay yeah i had a drink i got caught it's okay i just didn't want to tell anybody i think anybody there who wasn't really paying close attention would get that but people who were actually affected jasmine melissa everybody else who's been talking about it they should immediately be like this is bad behavior but again like we said in the beginning bringing everybody else in and not just doing the generalization of everybody else is drinking maybe we're going to start likening your behavior when you drink to danies oh now i've got a problem now i've got a big problem and that's what brittney says immediately
Starting point is 00:48:51 i yeah i drink but i'm never mean okay so you think danny's mean cool we can start there we can start building on top of that so clearly you do have that pre notion of we know what danny's like when he drinks don't compare me to him if you are so too turned off by the idea of being compared to Danny while he's drinking, maybe you should have a talk about it. That could be good enough. That's what we can build off of. Ah, God, I hope so.
Starting point is 00:49:17 I really hope so. And, you know, Nia and Danny said to talk about this whole thing, exactly what we just talked about. I don't you want to talk about it. This was just fucking bullshit. I don't want to talk about it either. It's so stupid.
Starting point is 00:49:27 Like, you know, days like, well, they said one thing to me. They don't say it to my face. Because when anyone says it to your guy's face, they somehow become the villain. If they bring it up, that Doty jumps down their throat, Luke's jumps down there,
Starting point is 00:49:39 throw, Jesse jumps down there, throw, Nia and Danny jumped down there, though nothing's accomplished. And you get like two scattered groups, and then we have to figure out how to piece this group back together. We spend two episodes just getting back to neutral only for things to blow up in a not fun way. So yeah, of course, that I bring it to your attention.
Starting point is 00:49:55 And I, God damn it, I hate it. Well, no, I get like, coming off of the heels of Nia felt empowered while she was sitting there talking to the rest of the group about all of it and she obviously had a different oomph to her. And then Danny on the flip side was completely exonerated by the rest of the group for his drinking and hiding the drinking. So they're both empowered. So this scene was absolute bullshit.
Starting point is 00:50:20 This was them feeling empowered. It's obviously overproduced because it's the two of them. And again, they don't understand the scope. Just because the other 10 people on the cast or for whatever reason giving you a very weird past, does not under it just doesn't resonate with the rest of the fucking audience we're all watching at home realizing that you're a terror we're all watching at home realizing that you're a monster and we hate you and you're sitting there acting like you're in power like i can't believe that they're still talking about this what a bunch of losers they are such unbelievable losers like i hope they
Starting point is 00:51:01 fuck off to Santa Clarita. We never see them again. They'll pop up on some weird TLC show where it's like, I have 17 kids with my, with my wife, but I'm still cheating on her. That's what we're going to see. We're going to see some weird shit on TLC where Danny's still like hooking up
Starting point is 00:51:17 with somebody. I just yeah, I have no idea. These two. Yeah. They stink. They stink on ice. Let's get to the Ho Party, Hoera Party. Or as Jasmine calls it, the big slutty gay birthday bash.
Starting point is 00:51:31 supposed to dress like they did during their ho face Schwartz decides to do white face uh in his goth attempt i don't know yeah i didn't get got that one now but hey he could have dressed how he dressed and then just put like black eyeliner on been yeah i don't know what the white face and he looked like a slutty mine or something it's kind of offensive to the rest of us white honestly i'm being honest he he went he went too white you're a fucking idiot you guys want a drunk shooter
Starting point is 00:52:06 here he is yeah you guys asked for it let's get on to this bus and I was just gonna say also I don't think anybody actually asked for this I think this is I'll read the comment I we got so many
Starting point is 00:52:18 multiple people saying we were promised drunk shooter on vacation I can pull up like five right now but good I'll do it at the end you guys got it the bus ride is awesome. We got a double
Starting point is 00:52:33 decker bus. Everyone's getting lit. We're dancing. There's dildos being thrown about. There's pride balloons. It's a good time. People are having fun. Who's not there? Danny and Nia. This is the proof you need.
Starting point is 00:52:49 If they're not on the show, I don't know what the show looks like. I don't know what we're talking about. Because it could be anything. We could literally talk about anything because we're not bogged down by dumb and dumber up in Santa Clarita. this is a glimpse of look what the group can do when we're not looking over our shoulder to see what Danny's doing. It was so nice.
Starting point is 00:53:10 It was so much fun. I mean, like, even just going into, and we'll talk about like Jesse and Brittany in a second, but they were all having a good time. Everybody enjoyed themselves on the double decker. Everybody enjoyed themselves right up until Zach got shit on by a bird subsequently just getting smashed. No, they still had fun. He was a fucking dude. that he's a goddamn icon that was the most real shit that la la is ever said by the way if that happened to her she'd be like i'd be out i'd be taking a medevac back to l a i would never talk
Starting point is 00:53:41 to anybody again if they went out for my birthday without me they all go home but not sack he's a real one that was very real yeah iconic they had a good time and this was again i i think steel and i've been like incredibly critical on the show and saying basically just fucking cancel it at this point I think we got a glimpse into what the show could be. If we don't have Danny and Nea, get rid of those losers. They suck. Yeah, but yeah, Zach, I mean, give this king his crown. That was fucking awesome.
Starting point is 00:54:12 To take a divot out of your head by a street sign on a moving bus after getting shit on by a bird not 10 seconds before and not even flinching. He's pissed off. He has to leave the parties. Like if you guys don't go to that bar and get fucked up on my behalf, you're not my real friends i'm going to go get stitches and i'm coming right back here to do when they pull up to the club and they're like wait we're at the club oh my god there's a hospital across the street no it's not across the street but whatever it's okay you can get back in and then they're facetiming him while he's going back he's like please enjoy yourselves i'll be
Starting point is 00:54:47 back very very soon that's the energy we need benjy in there was like i want you to get fixed quick because this night sounds awesome. We're going to go out. We're going to have a great time. So go ahead. The two of them were so lovely, so enjoyable. Keep doing that. That was absolutely incredible.
Starting point is 00:55:05 And the rest of the crew who was like, yeah, you know what? We're not going to wait for you. We're going to respect your wishes. Go to the club, enjoy ourselves. We'll see you in a bit. They all rock too. Until we get to. Danny India.
Starting point is 00:55:19 I can't ruin the night. What do you mean? I can't. We got to. I just want to dance. What a loser. Before we do that, we do have to talk about Brittany and Jesse on the bus. I like this scene a lot, actually, because Jesse was talking shit about Britney,
Starting point is 00:55:40 being involved with Jacks in this whole let's take Danny down thing. Jesse's gotten so fed up with the Danny shit overall that he's now just trying to move past it. He's trying to point the finger. that sit down with Danny, with Luke and with Jesse, where it's like, oh, well, don't worry, because I've got an ace up my sleeve. Brittany was also conceiving, concocting. Concocting. I was trying to say concocting and conniving, and I came out with conceiving.
Starting point is 00:56:12 I think he can conceive a plan. Oh, God. We got ripped apart yesterday for that way. I know. Someone's like, it's distinguish. Distinguish. Open the schools. please.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Distinctive. I said it was wrong. All right? Look, open the schools. I mean, open the schools is one of my favorite phrases. So it's pretty funny. So well done.
Starting point is 00:56:36 But they're talking about this whole thing. And the truth comes out because there's something at the root of this whole thing. Because you got Lacey again being the great media saying, just apologize for lumping room with Jacks. What the fuck are you doing, dumbass? Just like stop doing what you're doing. And that gets Jesse to say. say, well, the truth is, I've held this resentment for you for over a year because I was standing behind you at Yamashiro, and you were talking about how Lacey was going to be one of many,
Starting point is 00:57:05 and I shouldn't have introduced her to Isabella, and Brittany, and I believe this to be true. Brittany's like, no, no, no, no. I was pissed off that Michelle didn't know that she was around her daughter. meanwhile Lacey is braiding her hair and shit while you had made a rule that Michelle couldn't introduce Isabella to another guy, which Michelle is the one that brings it up. He's like, why are you getting involved? And as Janet points out, this is about her, dude. She's allowed to jump in here.
Starting point is 00:57:35 But this is what actually was going on. It was this whole thing that Jesse's been holding on to. He's like, well, I didn't like that you said that. It's like, well, you don't even have the whole story. And Lacey, take care of this, please. What are you doing right now? It's going to trigger her about the meeting and then she blames me. Then her and I are going to backtrack because of you.
Starting point is 00:57:55 So shut the fuck up, dickhead. It was the most logically sound thing I've ever heard on this entire show by far and away. It was the easiest thing to actually figure out what was going on. It just made a ton of sense. I didn't even think about it right away. But for Lacey to look at she was making eye contact with the machine, I don't want to backtrack with you because of what Jesse's doing. I still love Jesse,
Starting point is 00:58:22 but I understand all of this. And obviously I'm close to him. And also, I don't want you to get blamed for that. Like she did such a good job of just putting out literally every fire. I mean, Michelle didn't really react afterwards. Brittany didn't react.
Starting point is 00:58:35 Jesse didn't react. Everybody got quelled immediately. And it was so easy to do. And she made it look very easy. And then I love even more that she goes to her confessional. And she's like, well, like, Jesse's not wrong about Brittany.
Starting point is 00:58:47 like yeah, Brittany was absolutely involved in the Czech's thing about like all of it. But he's going about it the wrong way, as Jesse always does. And that's, you know, love him or hate him. That's exactly what he brings to the show. And that's what he can bring to the show. Also, I'm getting lost now because right now on the split screen, it kind of looks like our arms are connected. Do you see that?
Starting point is 00:59:06 No, it doesn't. Oh, I think we're switched on yours. Oh, we're swapped. God damn. Yeah. Sorry, dude. I can see where I can see the connection. if this arm was on the other side of my screen,
Starting point is 00:59:20 then there. Now I see us connected by arms on my screen. Oh, oh yeah, now you got it on this idea. Yeah, yeah, so now we got it.
Starting point is 00:59:27 If they ever make a Bravo God, we'd be two bodies, four arms, three arms, kind of. Either way, whatever. What the fuck are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:59:40 Oh, we're going to late in the episode. Oh, no, I do, at the end of the day, I appreciate. so much what Lacey was able to do there because that is something that could have easily lasted
Starting point is 00:59:51 forever. Yeah. And it's squashed to me. I don't really know what to make a Brittany right now because she's doing a pretty good job with a lot of things, but that's not really who we've gotten used to. So she could have easily drugged that on for a long time. Michelle's also doing a very good job, but she could have easily drugged that along for a long time.
Starting point is 01:00:08 I think it's over. Like I really do. And I think I know in scenes for next week, we're going to see honestly, we're going to Lacey and Michelle talk, which again, I still think is by far in a way the most compelling aspect of this entire season. People might disagree with me. I personally think it's great. So I would have seen more of that.
Starting point is 01:00:26 But that's good. That's real. And that's normal. And that's again, I think what they wanted the basis of the show to be is all of these weird things, how you're going to navigate through it and also being in a weird situation of filming a TV show together. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:00:40 But let's get to the gay bar. And this is this, this, this, this line. line. Ah, this line. Danny's dancing. And Nia's like, hey, no hip movement. You make people uncomfortable when you move your hips. What you have just done, Nia, is you have said that his behavior, this is what it is. He doesn't do anything wrong, but people take it a certain way to make them uncomfortable. Again, you're now equating what happened last season to Danny moving his hips and people feeling uncomfortable with it. And I don't know how this is getting lost in translation.
Starting point is 01:01:20 I don't know how she doesn't see like, oh, well, no, what you did last year was bad. I shouldn't minimize that. Like, do you not get that by saying that? You're saying his behavior is the same as him moving his hips and dancing. Him grabbing Melissa's ass is the same thing as him moving his hips and dancing. That's what she just said. And I don't think she gets that. And that's because we've gotten to the point, like I said, where we've said this so many times, we've talked about it so many times, that they roll their eyes when it comes up and you've lost the plot.
Starting point is 01:01:53 We've lost what this whole thing started with. And that's you now doing it, Neo, which is grimy. It's just grimy. It is grimy. The whole thing's grimy. This was the stupidest fucking bullshit I've ever said to my entire life. I, a normal couple would just shy away. Hey, you want to dance
Starting point is 01:02:16 Come dance with me If you see a man and wife Dance on the dance floor No one's gonna say Well, that makes me feel weird Both of them The two of them I don't fucking get it
Starting point is 01:02:30 Danny needs to go dance by himself With his shirt off To feel like a fucking person Just to feel He's just to feel anything He's a fucking creep Nia Pull your husband
Starting point is 01:02:43 To the dance floor he wants to go dance, pull him to the dance floor, you dance with him. You guys go to your confessional and you sit there and you're like, oh, yeah, we used to go to the clubs all the time, but you freaks in the club. No shot. Absolutely freaks me out. If I saw the two of you at the club, I would think you were weirdos, there were swingers that were probably putting things in my drinks that they were like, hey, you want a third?
Starting point is 01:03:04 Like that's the type of shit that I figured that they would be allegedly. That's the type of shit that I figured you guys might be doing. You guys are weirdos, like absolute weirdos, like a normal person. their right minds. I understand reality TV gets weird. It gets heightened. People are looking at you for different things. If that's truly what you think is going on right now, that people are looking for things that don't exist, how do you not just immediately diffuse the situation by dancing together? It doesn't make any sense to me. You guys want to go dance together. Go dance together. Danny, dance with your beautiful wife that you compliment all the time. Nia, go dance with your husband that you're
Starting point is 01:03:41 making excuses for the whole time. No one's going to bat enough. Oh, there they go. Maybe they're going to talk shit on you. Fine. You'll see it on the cameras later. Go dance together. It is so weird. And watching him talk to other people.
Starting point is 01:03:53 And this is, again, I don't think Luke is a bad guy. But I mean, fuck him honestly. Like, you're going to talk to Danny and Danny's going to bitch about not being able to dance. And you're not just going to laugh at him. If any of our friends, any dude that we've been friends with or somewhat close to friends with, was complaining about not being able to dance because it might make other people feel uncomfortable. What would either of us say to him? You're a fucking idiot.
Starting point is 01:04:18 Quit being a bitch. Wow. Holy shit. You're a weirdo. Stay away from me. I won't let you near my family. It's probably what I would say. Like, you're bizarre.
Starting point is 01:04:29 You are absolutely out there. What an absolute weirdo. And that's the thing that I take away from this episode and all the people up until now who have been like, well, you know, maybe they are really blaming Danny for everything. Just watch this episode. would you let anybody that you're close with you're this guy? No. What are you know?
Starting point is 01:04:49 Are you fucking kidding me? Would you leave your family alone? Like, would you leave your parents? You're married. You have your parents out there who were in their 60s. Would you let your parents near this guy and be like, hey,
Starting point is 01:05:00 this guy's my friend? Or would you be listening in to see what he's saying? I would be. I actually wouldn't leave my parents with him at all. But would you be listening in to see what he's going to say? Because he's going to say some weird shit. He's going to try to dance all my stepdad. Like weird shit.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Absolutely bizarre guy. I do not get it. And no one else on the cast gets it. And that I think is even weirder than even that official. Well, it's just blind defense for some reason. I don't know. And I think it has something to do with. It goes beyond that now.
Starting point is 01:05:29 Like this episode put it way beyond that. I agree. But I think that a big part of it is kind of what we see with how Doty looks at them. I think for a long time, people put them up on this pedestal of like, this is what we all aspire to have, this perfect marriage, these two lovely people that love each other, they have four beautiful kids. I think that that's a big factor and that's kind of starting to finally fade and people are seeing through this facade and realizing like, no, they just don't address shit on camera. They save it. And then Danny yells his wife,
Starting point is 01:06:02 we're now starting to see that kind of break a little bit. So you're seeing people kind of wake up to like, oh, maybe they're not as great as we all say they are. But throughout, the evening. I said it in the beginning of the episode. How are you going to go and complain to Jasmine that, oh, I'm going to make people uncomfortable. Yeah, ask her. Ask Melissa. Jasmine has way more tolerance than anybody. I was, I was, you know, you know, inside. She's one of the only normal people on the show. Yeah, I agree. You know inside she's fuming, but she knows. And this is, I think also incredibly unfortunate. She knows it's not worth it. It really is not and I think you see what happens sucks like that was a storyline last year and I know people online
Starting point is 01:06:49 were bashing her and they were like yeah she's dragging this on she's making this a whole thing that absolutely blows because inside it's like it's similar to probably what we're going to see janet talk about last week like but different because it's fucking daddy he's the guy who did it and he's standing in front of her like oh do you believe these people won't let me dance because it makes one comfortable if i'm jasmine i'm like yeah i can fucking believe it you grab my ass like a year god yeah you grab my fiance's ass a year ago like you weirdo get out of my face like i i really don't even know how jasmine and melissa could actually film with them i don't know but the bus ride to me was just like confirmation of like yeah this is why it's uncomfortable because
Starting point is 01:07:36 danny is in the back laying down still talking shit nia sits down there to try to rein him in. He's yelling at her again. He's saying the tone that he has with his wife, yet again, while he's drunk, should be enough for her to be like, oh, I don't like getting yelled at. He seems to do that every time that he's tuned up. And here we are on the bus full of people. And he's doing it again.
Starting point is 01:08:01 Don't dig your fingernails into my freaking stomach. Oh, my gosh. Like, God damn it. This guy is just exhausting, guys. Somebody stand up on the bus and tell him to shut up. somebody do something somebody say something i'm so sick of like they're just why are we not addressing it why one way or the other for the danny defenders on the show stand up in front of the whole group and give your pitch tell them why you think that they should stop going after danny the people that
Starting point is 01:08:32 are against daddy stand up and say this is what we're talking about but the only time that happened was Lala and then Lala somehow gets checked for talking about it and going after Danny in that room. That's not really your place. Shut up. And Christian. Yeah. I mean, and that's look, let them have Lala. Next week I am actually genuinely showing up and I'm stoked.
Starting point is 01:08:59 I hope she calls him dog and homie in the same sentence. That would be the best. But I'm actually genuinely excited to see her take. him down because he needs it. I mean, like, it's never really, it's never been more apparent. And like, I understand if you're kind of checked out, you're not really paying attention anymore. But when you get in that bus and it's Mexico and it's hot as balls and you can't even sit
Starting point is 01:09:26 down and you have to stand in the front of the bus and you look back and you see this 42 year old dude just laying down complaining about everything, go over and literally just like pull him by. he's five to sit on him sit on he's five to 160 grab him by him by his collar and pull him up like it's not it's never it's never been more apparent to me that these people aren't real people and also i think it kind of gives a little bit of credence to you know people who live in hollywood are definitely not real people no offense to anybody who's listening right now but whatever questions uh first one Oh yeah, I did put, when I put questions up, I did say,
Starting point is 01:10:15 uh, drunk shooter episode incoming. Yeah, see, Rachel McCliss, more drunk shooter of AK-ups, please. I did say mid-ep that I should do this more often, but now at the end of the episode, I'm realizing I probably can't do this more often. Takes a lot out of me. Yeah, Liz Tuck 12. Danny responds to creep allegations by acting like a total fucking creep. Yes.
Starting point is 01:10:40 Yeah. It's unbelievable. Like, again, that's, that's the takeaway is he has somehow, him and his wife have both now moved on to the point where like, oh, we're getting some sort of defense from other people. We're good. We can now play offense. We can blame everybody else. Like, it's bizarre. It sucks.
Starting point is 01:11:03 It sucks. It sucks ass. Shadow potato. Kudos to you guys for even watching the soul. sucking show while on holiday. Ooh, holiday. You must be English. I'm from London.
Starting point is 01:11:17 Yeah, nice. That was good. Thanks. Yeah, I had to watch it on the beach today, but I did actually, again, I had a couple of drinks and I got some enjoyment out of it. I started laughing a lot. Also, with Zach, when he got, that was like the most unfortunate series of events, getting shit on by a bird, getting told that it's good luck, which I, I think I may have
Starting point is 01:11:40 said this on the show before. That's just something that people tell you. Like, you get shit on by bird. That sucks. But if you spit it and say, oh, it's actually good luck, it makes you feel better about getting shit on by an animal. Yeah, totally. It's not true at all.
Starting point is 01:11:54 How do you know? Hold on. Let's see. Oh, I like this. Pretty Ricky 22. Does Danny have the most fragile ego you've ever seen on TV? Does he even like Nia? He is probably the most fragile person I've seen.
Starting point is 01:12:10 And no, I don't think he likes Nia. He just likes to make sexual comments to Nia, which is not helping his story either. He likes her boobs. The only time that he's like nice to her is when he's referencing them having sex or her body. That's like I can make a montage of him being such a prick and him having like this short term short, short tone until something comes up and he shifts like on a dive. pulls a 180s like hey yeah but i'll see you in bed later it's like you were just being a dick to her and then you're like oh but i would have sex so i'm gonna be nice like gross yeah that's actually really true we haven't seen if we were like more technologically savvy you know what the funny thing is
Starting point is 01:12:54 every time i go on twitter and i see like pictures of people taking screenshots of the episode i don't know how they do that because i don't either i tried to the screenshot it blacks out the screen so i don't get it i have no idea maybe they're watching illegally I might actually maybe we should call those people out Lime wire or Napster Lime wire from Bella GR
Starting point is 01:13:20 1985 both Janet and the Bocos can be unsufferable right Yes they both can be insufferable I will say I We get hate for this every episode especially in the last couple I don't care I do think
Starting point is 01:13:35 Janet Actually you know what what Lacey said about Jesse also applies to Janet. She's right. She's just going about it the wrong way. I like one or two more. I like both of these actually. Madwob,
Starting point is 01:13:49 shooter take a shot for every time that Danny says, uncomfortable. In that weird and then also knee drunk shooter up on a stage at a gay bar with good as goals in the background. Yes, we do actually.
Starting point is 01:14:05 I've already done that, to be honest. But I will do it again for sure. Oh, here's a great one. I know you already read one from her, but Rachel McClous, do you now want Sandoval on the Valley? We've wanted him on the Valley. By the way, the fact that he pushed Victoria's dad into a fire pit should have been on the Valley.
Starting point is 01:14:27 That is what we're literally missing. And for those of you who have seen the video of that, which is very bizarre that there's a video of that, and that it was leaked to TMZ. Technically, from what I. I saw, Victoria's dad touched him first. And then he reacted. And he ended up in the firebed.
Starting point is 01:14:44 So Sandoval is actually at the right. I'm okay with that. I, Sandoval should have been back on the, I haven't seen the video yet. If it's like super bad, I don't know, but like you can't sit there with a straight face at home
Starting point is 01:14:58 and tell me this show wouldn't be better with Tom Sandoval on it. You don't have to like them, but the dude's built for reality TV. Like, it is what it is. I'd rather have him on the screen and have a good show than keep ostracizing him and watching this garbage. Yeah. I got two that I like, so I'll do both.
Starting point is 01:15:23 And then one is it from there from Marissa and Palma. If he had a room with two cast members on vacation, who would you choose him? Why? On this show? Zach and Benji. I'd say Zach and Benji are a package deal. Zach Benji and Schwarz. and shorts yeah easy
Starting point is 01:15:40 that would probably be a blast honestly one for sure uh and then the last one which I've already now lost oh uh Jennifer the Jennifer Rankin do you think that Nia really believes that Jesse grinding on Jason is the same thing as
Starting point is 01:15:58 Danny ass grabbing no yes I don't think she does I think she's well aware of what she's looted her oh you think she's I think she's deluded her self and the thing is the same thing. That's equally plausible. Kind of the same thing. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's just
Starting point is 01:16:16 really frustrating to watch it get lowered to what we're seeing. Like glossed over. Glossed over just kind of sweeping the problem under the rug and it's not the drinking. It's the hiding the drinking. It's the
Starting point is 01:16:32 lying. Is it or is it the ass grabbing and the drinking and the lying and the hiding? like we have a pile of shit the size of Danny which isn't that big but it's still pretty you know as far as shit goes that's a big pile of shit huge and yet 5-2 5-2 pile of shit but no one has the smoke for him really it's just a lot of the scenes that we've already seen where it starts to heat up no one really has the final nail in the coffin for danny So I'm hoping that Lauren from Utah shows up
Starting point is 01:17:09 Really gives it to him next week I hope that people hearing it finally happen Are emboldened to jump in and say And this is why I get uncomfortable, Danny And this is what I've seen you do, Danny And they just fucking bury this guy once and for all And I hope to God And I'm not confident because Doty's been defending him in the comments
Starting point is 01:17:29 Since the show started airing But God, I hope that Luke and Doty and Jesse and Lacey because she wants to get involved in that she doesn't want to get involved in anything but she has an opinion about this for some reason I hope that they don't jump in and try to minimize what Danny's done just let him take his lashing just for he he has this has been a long time coming you could argue that Lala was put on this show for this reason let it yeah yeah that makes a lot of sense but I also do think that they'll take the of he did things that were off camera
Starting point is 01:18:08 and he didn't really do anything this year. He hid his drinking. He made excuses and it ruffled everybody the wrong way. That's what they're going to do. That's like we're not going to get anything. I don't know. Dude, I hope we do. But yeah, literally, again, all I want at the end of the season is just
Starting point is 01:18:27 fucking get rid of them. Like, I hope everybody watched the episode the same way that we did. there's actually a good there is a good show there it's just so hard to see it because danny and dia just takes center stage you get rid of them it might be a fun show it could be them watching and i saw actually they uh they did renew the uh shaws of the valley so that'll be back i tell that yeah i'm excited for that so i hope they're watching that i hope they're watching in the city and they're realizing hey we've got the weirdest show out of those we need to have one fun. If they get rid of them, it could be fun. Bring Sandoval in too. I'm going to do that every
Starting point is 01:19:09 episode now. I'm going to start every episode. Just like we do with Soho talking about any being racist, which now we're crossing over because why not? Who cares? You're racist. You're racist on every show. Bring Sandoval back. Why not? I agree. Come on. We missed out. It's tight. That could have been interesting. Actually, it may have not happened. Oh, no, actually, because that just happened. They weren't in Mexico when that happens. But we could have seen it. It could have been interesting. Who the fuck knows where this show is going to go. But yeah, I think that the obvious choice here is to kick Daddy and Nia.
Starting point is 01:19:43 And I think you have a much different show. And you don't even have to have a plan after that. Just boot them and then roll them out next year and see what you have with this group. We've been bogged down by this for two years. So we don't know what else is out there. It's mind-numbingly. I won't have to get drunk for a recap. We'll see if people want you to do it again.
