Bros & Shows - Fatal Attraction? Featuring a "Sick Mom" (RHORI Full Recap)

Episode Date: April 28, 2026

What's up bros?? Apparently the best way to have a secret affair for a man in your 50s is to lie about your mom going to the hospital and blame everything on AI - what a world we live in. While Jo-Ell...en claims she's just being a good friend to help out Rulla WHO ASKED HER TO TELL HER IF SHE FINDS EVIDENCE, somehow, that's just not good enough for Rulla as she continues to buy into whatever Brian is selling her. Meanwhile, new trouble is brewing between two of the other ladies, Kelsey & Rosie, and we might have some fireworks on our hands soon. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Starting point is 00:00:00 This is the best show on TV right now. It's not even close. Yeah. This is the best housewife show that I've seen in years. I'm going to say the best new housewife show that I've seen in years. We'll give it that. As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:00:16 And so that'll make it a... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm Karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Bro. Bro. evening everybody welcome back to another episode of braf bros your favorite podcast from the bros for
Starting point is 00:00:36 everybody for whoever wants to listen i'm your co-host steel russell joined as always by the one and only shooter maguda what's up dude uh well there's some news that uh somebody broke today brian actually sued his mistress because she violated an n d a no what yeah yeah yeah and then somebody found uh because i saw the guys from crappins uh posted that and then somebody founds the mistress on instagram i went through her instagram that picture is no longer there nor any other picture of brian so there's some legal battles going on there there's some legal battles going on between brian and rule i'm assuming so it's it's getting they're still together yeah i know that's insane yeah especially after this season two season two's going to be wild i can't how do you come back on the screen after
Starting point is 00:01:31 Dude, I honestly, this episode, I was so surprised that he even showed back up because both of us had this discussion were like, dude, you had an opportunity like and you showed us that you're not going to talk about it. So I don't expect to see you here for the rest of the season. And that's totally fine. When he's come strolling in this episode, I was so surprised that he came back. Should have stayed home, Brian. That was a big mistake, big boo-boo. It was honestly kind of tough to watch on Rula's part. you know, it's kind of a bummer, but we'll get into that as we move through the episode.
Starting point is 00:02:05 But all in all, I mean, it's just a great, great TV show. This is a very well-rounded cast. You have a lot of similarities between the ladies, but they're all very unique in their own way, which brings a different, different zest to this show. I don't know. I am locked on my teeth. I don't even pick up my phone during this episode or during this show. No, no, no, it's incredibly enjoyable.
Starting point is 00:02:28 It's actually one of those shows. this happens very few and far between anymore. But it's one of those shows where I'm watching and I'm like, oh my God, I'm enjoying this so much. Oh, fuck, did I just miss something because I was just in like pure bliss enjoying the conversation,
Starting point is 00:02:41 completely forgetting that I have to cover this later. Yes, I probably did. Let me rewatch that. I'll do you one better. I'm at the point with this show where I pause to like go to the bathroom or something. And I'm like, oh,
Starting point is 00:02:50 I've only got 10 minutes left like that level of this show rocks. Yeah, yeah. There's only a couple of those shows. Actually, and we are kind of blessed right now because I do the same thing. with Southern hospitality, Atlanta's been so enjoyable as well.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Those shows that do that where you're surprised when it's over. You're like, oh, man, really? Palmer, dude. There was more. Why don't you make this a 54 minute episode? There's none of those anymore. Except like Beverly Hills when you pause it. You're like, what?
Starting point is 00:03:14 45 minutes I've been watching for an hour. It somehow goes into like negative time. It's a 42 minute episode, but somehow you click on it and still says 45 minutes left. You're like, there wasn't even that to start with. Yeah, it's awful. but we're done with that. We talked about that earlier. It was awful.
Starting point is 00:03:33 This show is going to bring us out of the dumps. So let's jump right in. And we start out with Rosie and she's talking to her friend, Jack and Anthony, who is a couple that she's close with. They're having a boat day on a schooner, a schooner, not a schooner. Oh, that, damn it, I miss that. That's a bummer.
Starting point is 00:03:53 That's okay. You always miss those layoffs. They're there for you and you just don't take. them you're a three-point shooter you know what are you going to do i'm certainly not that either it's the one sport i'm not good at oh i didn't mean i i i didn't mean actually i meant you know figuratively yeah no i just you know it's a very it's a it's a touchy subject because i can pick up any sport and be decent at it and basketball i cannot except those uh hoops games at big bars pop shots i'm really good at weirdly pop shots yeah pop shots are fantastic but uh i
Starting point is 00:04:26 Look, I don't know if Dev even remembers, but I will try to make sure to keep you away from a basketball this summer down the shore because your jump shot is almost like an instant ick. I don't want that for you. I don't want that for you. She's seen it. She's seen it. She's trying to be nice, but even she makes fun of me when it comes to basketball.
Starting point is 00:04:45 It's okay. Look, professional athlete. I'll have everybody know, all right? Leave me alone. Okay. Getting very defensive. I know. For a topic that you brought up.
Starting point is 00:04:56 You want to check my baseball card? Huh? Don't check tape? No. Let me call Rick Knox. And you can hear about my football career, too. No, let's jump in. I got sidetracked with Schooner.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Shooter Magouter was, that was the way to go. So I'm bummed out about that. But we get to Joe and Alicia, and we find out that Joe's grandfather has passed away. He lived to 100 years old. He was a big, big person in her life when her father passed away, her grandfather kind of stepped into that role. So it was very sad. It was objectively kind of funny when she's like, you know, I FaceTimeed him.
Starting point is 00:05:34 And, you know, I just felt like I was there. Like I was there. Okay. If that makes you feel better. Yeah, you were totally there. Yeah. It was one of those weird situations too because like, I don't know what it is. But anytime somebody talks about, especially like a grandparent or somebody passing away.
Starting point is 00:05:48 And I don't know why it always like hits somewhat close to home where you're like, all right, what would I do in that situation? If I was working in Chicago, I would. I would probably go if you're telling me that this person was a huge influence. I'm not going to judge. I don't know how much time she had, though. I don't know the particulars. Yep, exactly.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I just thought it was a little weird that she's like, it was like I was there. It's like, ah, somebody's giving you shit for not being there, haven't you? Or you feel guilty. Yeah, yeah. There's coping involved in this. But I'm going to let you go because I really like you. And I'm okay with it. Yeah, I am too.
Starting point is 00:06:22 But Liz arrives and it's Joe, Liz and Alicia. and we're recapping the little snafu we had between Rosie and Alicia last week. And they're all good now. As we know, Alicia gets over things almost instantly. What she says to Rula later and to Brian is astounding, but it does make a lot of sense given her current situation herself. But I will always highlight when we say, you fucking hoo-a, you hoo-ah.
Starting point is 00:06:51 God, Al Pacino. Al Pacino is in all of them. who ah but alicia's hanging on to this you know she twisted my words she didn't twist your words she threw you under the bus but you've said the shit you said you have to walk on eggshells constantly implying that she's always about to snap which is what rosy said you can talk about rosy being a shitter that's fine but i i just have a feeling that something i don't know if it's going to be this, something's going to bite her in the ass this season in a similar situation where she says shit and she's like, I didn't say, I didn't mean it like that, like that kind of
Starting point is 00:07:32 I. It's funny you did that or just said that too, just because I was thinking the same thing, but I'm thinking on the other end of the spectrum, she's going to watch what she says to certain people because we've seen Rosie. Rosie does this. Rosie has done this before. We're only five episodes in the season. She's already done it a couple of times.
Starting point is 00:07:48 So she is going through the shit. It's incredible for reality TV. And the way that she does it where she doesn't just clunkily like drop knowledge in there and then walk away, she does it in a situation that warrants it. Like I do think that the Liz and Alicia thing when Alicia said that, it was like a day or two prior. So it's still fresh in her head. Yes, I do think that she kind of saved that like, oh, this could be useful in the future. It happens like a day later.
Starting point is 00:08:11 So it was actually pretty pertinent. And she did a good job at that. And, you know, welcome to Rhode Island bitch is just fucking incredible. But that being said, I do think that Alicia's in my. brain. She's going to watch what she says. She's not going to put herself in that situation. She's going to be overbearing about it, which could come back to shoot herself because
Starting point is 00:08:31 she's going to be in a weird situation where she needs to speak up and she's afraid to. I don't know. I'm curious now if that's your stance because I don't think she has that in her. I think that things just come out. I don't know if any of them have it in it. I know. The way this cast goes, I don't think any of them have that in them. No, it's just like biding their time until they slip up and say some shit they're not
Starting point is 00:08:50 supposed to say. and then they out themselves like, you know, nothing happened. Absolutely nothing happened on this night with Dino. Okay? Why are you? Yeah, totally. That's what they're all doing, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:02 But they're talking about Rula and it's very funny when Joe's like, anybody talk about me. It's like, no, stop. But they're talking about Rula. And I actually agree with Liz, you know, attacking Rula is like the low hanging fruit. Like she's visibly going through it right now. And she said,
Starting point is 00:09:19 Rula said, if you have proof, bring it to me. I'm not going to believe you, but bring it to me. So I actually kind of agree with Liz. And obviously, Joe is not just being like amicable about this. She is talking about it probably too much and perfection things. I think this episode proved where Joe Ellen is with this whole situation. She's absolutely talking to everybody not on the show that's in her circle of friends about what's going on with Roland Brian.
Starting point is 00:09:50 And I'm sure because she's the one who found it on Instagram earlier when she found the mistress picture, she's probably the source of information now. So she's only going to get more and more into it. She's going to be in the thick of it very quickly, obviously, as we see in this episode. I do want to point out one thing. She didn't say low hanging fruit. She said low lying fruit, which I thought was funny. I don't know why. But anytime that they have like an idiom or something that pops up here and they get it wrong, it's always so funny to me because they do it with the Jersey accent.
Starting point is 00:10:17 I'm like, yeah, sure. That's what it is now. But that's how the old heads talk like here. I know. They make up new turns of phrase. It's ever so slightly the original, but they change a word or they change like it's very funny. So when I see it. It's always been like that.
Starting point is 00:10:32 Yeah. So good, dude. So funny. I'm not going to fight with you. Yeah. There's no. I actually like the way that you say it better. I'm going to say that from now and anyway.
Starting point is 00:10:40 But anyway, we go to Kelsey's crazy house. They have a salon in the house. Ashley arrives. Ashley's a real one. She's a good friend. Like I think that she's. he's a good person. That's the vibe I've gotten. Again, I don't know the lore from Bachelor,
Starting point is 00:10:54 Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise. Yeah, where's that Jared type of guy? I don't know. That's what Bill says later. Yeah, the husbands are fucking weird. They're bizarre dudes. I actually, I like, I mean, the stuff going on with Alicia aside,
Starting point is 00:11:10 I actually really like Bill. Bill's, Bill's very funny. So does everybody. He gets away with it. Yeah, Bill and Gary are very funny to me. Well, Kelsey lets us know. that she was a hairstylist before and she is thinking about getting back into it when she figures out where she's going with her life, which guy she's going to pick. Am I going to stick around in
Starting point is 00:11:29 the mansion? Are I going to go out and forge my own path? It is good to know that she has a profession to follow. And she seems pretty good. I thought Ashley's hair looked good. But it brings up a point because she had cut Rosie's hair. And Rosie didn't post anything about it on her Instagram. I checked Ashley has 1.3 million followers. So for her to do that actually is pretty cool. That's a pretty big shout out right there for her. Now, when it comes to the Rosie situation, do you think it's mandatory to post?
Starting point is 00:12:06 Do you think that she burned her a little bit? Are we nitpicking here? Well, I don't know. I do think that you're probably the expert on this because you just did an Instagram story last week about how quick we are. It's a post people that we don't know, but we don't post our own friends. So what do you think, sir?
Starting point is 00:12:22 I think you should post your friends. I think it's crazy that we live in a time where you can help make your friends money and grow their platform if they're trying to do something on social media. And you don't repost them, but you'll repost a video from some random person you've never met before. Support your friends. But people think it's cringy. Like, I can't like that. Why? It's so true.
Starting point is 00:12:44 I know. It's wildly true. Sometimes, like, I'll, I'll see a friend trying to do something like, and it's not even in this space or any other space that I'm even involved in. I'm like, uh, we'll see how that goes. I mean coming from a podcast guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Yeah. But it is very funny that that happens. Now, this is obviously a very different situation because it does seem like, and especially for what Ashley's saying and what Kelsey saying, that Rosie posts everybody, every time she gets her hair done. Yeah, I do think you should probably just have one person that does your hair. That just seems like the norm. But if you're posting everybody else, you should be posting her.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Now, this is something that wasn't on my radar is the Kelsey Rosie thing. I do think that's going to boil over into more than just supporting and all of these other things. I do think that they have very different lives. And I think Rosie's probably going to stick her nose in Kelsey's business. And that's not going to go well for her. It's interesting. Like the more, well, first to your one point, I agree. I think it's a choice.
Starting point is 00:13:42 If you're not posting, when you post everyone else, that to me sounds like a choice. but with the Rosie and Kelsey situation, just Rosie in general, I don't think that she has any bad intentions. I think she just says shit. I think it just comes out of her mouth, but I don't think she means any ill will, which is very funny and great, great for reality TV because it gets you into precarious positions.
Starting point is 00:14:05 But yeah, I don't think she's like intentionally trying to be mean. It's just the way she phrases things is always somewhat abrasive. It's like, yeah. I don't just ask you a question, but like it sounds like you're throwing some shade out there right now.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Yeah. Yeah. Why are you like interviewing me right now? Exactly. And I agree. I think the Kelsey Rosie thing could be very entertaining. I'm curious to see where that goes. The way it sets up later on the boat was actually objectively very funny.
Starting point is 00:14:29 And that's the other thing with Kelsey anyway, like her getting involved in any situation. We've been giving her shit just because it's very funny. She has gotten ahead of everything. And she is so far ahead of everything that now I'm like, oh, damn, everything's already out there. What are they going to talk to you about? Maybe you're already good. Maybe this was a good strategy.
Starting point is 00:14:45 It's the B-Rabbit strategy from 8 Mile. Yeah, it worked like a charm. But we get to the boat day and the whole crew shows up and we get to talk about University of Rhode Island for a little bit. You know, Joe was in a sorority. Our entire sorority was from Jersey, which makes a ton of sense. Ed Rula arrives. So Joe Allen hasn't seen Rula since the Studio 54 thing, not trying to get back into everything on the boats. We'll see how this goes, Rula.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Hopefully, Joe Allen's a good swimmer. I'm going to toss her ass over. overboard. That would be a kind of funny. But, well, I have to acknowledge this. Do you ever wonder how Chris Columbus sailed the ocean blue in a boat? Do I ever wonder in a boat? Do you? Do you ever wonder? Yeah, actually, I kind of do. I wonder about those boats a lot, weirdly. And you know, the pent in the Santa Maria? Yeah, yeah, not those specifically. I just wonder, you know, people in the 1700s and before going in those wooden ships and just getting sick all, over the place.
Starting point is 00:15:46 And not knowing where they're going. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's the other part. Yeah. And Christopher Columbus can suck a bag of dicks. That guy was a horrible, awful, terrible piece of shit human being.
Starting point is 00:15:57 And he was prosecuted. When he returned, he was forced to go back to Portugal, I believe. Yep. Because he committed crimes and they tried him when he got home. They recalled him from America, which he did not find, by the way. And he killed countless people. He was a judge. giant pile of dog shit.
Starting point is 00:16:17 So I want to get that one out there, especially because he fucked with Native Americans. Those are my people. So he can suck a big old bag of dicks. Fuck you, Christopher Columbus and fuck Columbus Day. Anyway, is his statue still on in South Philly? They put that back up. I think they did. Did they put it back up?
Starting point is 00:16:35 I think they put it back up after. I know it cost a lot of shit with the Italians, which is weird because he's not Italian. He's not Italian. No. He flew under like the, I think he flew under. Portugal, Spain, and Italy. And yeah, yeah, so that's very funny. Yeah, no, fuck him.
Starting point is 00:16:52 But anyway, Liz, Rosie and Ashley are sitting there talking. And, like, Ashley's self-awareness is very funny, too. She's like, I'm the girl that waves of people that weren't waving to me. I'm like, I know exactly what you mean. And yes, you are from what I've gathered thus far. Absolutely. Now, Rosie's big thing is she's getting anxiety because she doesn't feel like she vibes with the groups.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Like, every time I walk in, I think I've been punched in the face, like just too much nobody likes me the timing of kelsey then sitting down after rosy literally says everything i do becomes a thing kelsey then sits down and brings up the non-post on instagram and rose is like what the fuck like i just said this it's literally like it couldn't have been perfect time like it it just smelled of a setup right away we're already talking about you know just supporting other women of the group you know what i'm talking about rosy right you you get what it let's talk about the post that you didn't post what's going on god damn it i just said fine i will get into it if you want to but i i want to be cool with everybody i actually genuinely do believe that rosy wants to be cool with everybody
Starting point is 00:18:00 but that one trait that you already highlighted where she just says things and it comes out in different ways like yes she did absolutely set up alicia that was a move but it's still a good move for the show and they'll get used to it there's just some uh there's some growing pains going out of this group she just rubs people the wrong way i don't think she's trying to so to hear her acknowledge that was very funny and we kind of get into it too and that's this actually kind of bothered me it's like you know she just wants to present herself as living in this sort of lifestyle where yeah it wasn't 8000 square feet that they're adding to that place it's 5 000 like okay i wrote the same thing come on it gives a shit it's like you're reaching kelsey like that's not
Starting point is 00:18:42 sticking point and nobody cares and you also don't know the house is not built yet. And you also don't own the house that you live in, like your boyfriend who's down in Miami. Like that was the other part when they walk into that house and Ashley comes over to get her hair done. I'm looking around that house. I'm like, oh, God, that would actually kind of suck. Like I wouldn't want a downside. I would go, I would want him to pay for a different apartment so that I don't have to live in this house by myself. Yeah. You know, it's just depressing, I think. Yeah. Yeah. She has a very interesting way of going about things because I know that she's just fed up with Rosie. But to bring up the house, like, it's 5,000. It's like, we don't care.
Starting point is 00:19:20 We don't care at all. This is not a good line. I, weirdly enough, I actually want to follow along with him building that house. Like, if Rich is getting involved and redoing all of that house, it was a bizarre house to begin with. I want to see what it turns into. I'm actually very entertained by this. I am too. I want to see the garage gym set up.
Starting point is 00:19:38 It's going to be sick. It's a 1,500 square foot garage. It's going to be an awesome little gym down there. But yeah, that was very funny that that. stuck out to you because I got stuck on that for a while. I was like, that's a weird to bring up. But we do a quick jump over to, uh, to Liz and Jerry and they're on the gypsy. And we're saying goodbye to the gypsy.
Starting point is 00:19:58 You know, he had a fill of sport fishing and he's going to head out into the sunset, sell the gypsy where I spend all of our time together. All this does, especially considering all of the shenanigans that we've learned about in this group. He, he cheated or something in regards to the black. boat, right? Like, cheated on the boat. Yeah. I'm running in the boat.
Starting point is 00:20:19 That's what I'm kind of thinking. And again, like we don't have the confirmation. Allegedly. Does this make me feel icky figuring something out? Yeah, a little bit. But it's okay. We could have the discussion. My thought is he goes and he sport fishes a lot that one little, call it a boat
Starting point is 00:20:40 vacation with another woman, a mistress, perhaps, maybe sneaking it under the radar, thinking that she wouldn't be able to find out about it and she did find out about it. That strikes me as something that may have happened, allegedly. I was of the same thinking as you. Yeah. Yeah, that's it. The whole story about Michael Jordan doesn't throw me off the set. No, me neither nor showing me checks for 200 grand because he won a fishing tournament like that.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Yeah. Something, something's fishy here. Something's fishy here. Yeah, yeah, great. Fantastic. Well, they say goodbye to the gypsy, and we move on to Joe Ellen and Rula. And they're sitting down to have drinks and guacamole and talk about their situation. Rula comes into it.
Starting point is 00:21:29 She already thinks, and I do believe Joan's doing this to a certain extent, but I do not think that's the part to get stuck on. I think that, yeah, she's perpetuating. Yeah, she's spreading more shit around. But you need to focus on the root here, Rula, because that's the big part of this whole thing with Brian. As they start talking, Joe's like,
Starting point is 00:21:49 I have nothing against you. It's more against him. She's like, well, look, I want to be bright out and bushy tailed. Like, I know my husband very well,
Starting point is 00:21:56 but like I don't want him to pull the wall over my eyes. If he's pulled the wall over my eyes and I want to know, well, he's pulling the wall over your eyes. No, he's not. Okay, well, here's text messages.
Starting point is 00:22:04 No, they're not. Those are fake. Those are AI. Brian told me. Oof. Yeah. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:22:10 this was, this was the start of, of a very, very, very bad episode for Rula. The AI text messages, sure, in some way, I kind of get that. But like, like, why? Why would people go through? Why would anybody go through the headache of trying to make some fake text messages up? Just to prove what point.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Yeah. It doesn't really make a ton of sense. Like, yeah, if you can prove that at some point, fine. But the way Joellen's talking about it, she's like, this woman is fucking insane. And Rula agrees that she is fucking. insane. That's rule of defense. Like she's crazy. It's like, yes, that's not a good thing. Yes, she is. But like, this is still going on. There's a picture
Starting point is 00:22:48 of the two of them where she was she sitting on his lap. Like, you can't deny that. So when Joe Ellen's talking about it, she's like, yeah, she's fucking nuts. She gave me her phone to go through and I looked at all of the text messages. Well, okay, that still could have been AI. You know, that's his number. No. You're just
Starting point is 00:23:04 doing so much to try to defend this guy. And I get, you know, he's your husband and you want it to be untrue. But if somebody has that much evidence, there's a picture of the two of them. It's definitely true. Come on. It just was.
Starting point is 00:23:16 We're focused on the ongoings again, by the way. It's more ongoing. But if you look like the text, the one thing I'll say is it was green. Okay. So like Android or AI as you're claiming. But I guess my big thing is like, I would imagine she's just trying to protect herself at this point because she's in it. She's decided to forgive them.
Starting point is 00:23:38 She doesn't want to acknowledge that this is happening. but in her heart of hearts, looking at those text messages, come on. And then later on, the promo match is insane. But yeah, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:23:50 dude, it was tough. But the other thing is like that Rula acted, she had already seen the text messages. So it's like, okay, where did you see the text messages? Like,
Starting point is 00:23:59 there's so much more I feel like that has to be uncovered. There's probably a sit down that happened at one point between her, the woman and Brian all sitting together talking about this. Like, to watch that. I think that something like that must have happened because when she starts talking about like,
Starting point is 00:24:15 oh, I've seen those text messages, they're AI. Where did you see the text? Who was sending them to you? Like, Joellen didn't. Joellen has them and saw them, but she didn't send them to you. So who else is getting involved? Or did you have a sit down with this woman and talk about all of this? Like, maybe, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:29 But I need to know more. My big thing is this. If they're AI, whatever, they're fake. Okay. I'll bite for a second until you say that Brian's the one that told you. Yeah. Yeah. Of course Brian's the one that told you.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Like what? Yeah. He's doing the defense of she's crazy. Like don't get involved in her. She's like it's just this weird fatal attraction situation. Like, oh, God, don't bring up that movie. That's not good. That's, that's, you're making worse.
Starting point is 00:24:59 That makes it worse. Yeah. You need to get security like immediately. But anyway, she says like, you know, I track them. And this is like her big slam dunk on Joella. And she's like, I track him and he hasn't slept outside of the house not one time. It's like, yeah, because he brings her coffee every morning.
Starting point is 00:25:17 She's like, yeah, he goes to the gym. It's like, yeah, put two and two together. Come on. Yeah, come on. But anyway, we keep moving. And we're at Rosie's weird ass house. And Alicia invites her to go to Polo. Now we're going to go to Angelo's first.
Starting point is 00:25:37 this is one of, what's his name, Billy's restaurants. Bill. Yep. Bill. And she's going without her safety blanket. Ashley's not being able to go. So actually, I like this move for Rosie. She's like, I got to forge ahead.
Starting point is 00:25:51 I got to try to make friends with these other ladies. I'm going to go. It's going to be awkward. I'm going to go do my best. The minute I saw where we were, I had to go and look at reviews. We are at Angelo's Palace and Pizzeria, which is a Greek. restaurant. Yeah, apparently.
Starting point is 00:26:10 Okay. So that's obviously where my head went first. Greek pizzeria, interesting. Awful reviews. Terrible. Yeah. Pizza Mama. Awful.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Yeah. Awful reviews. Not surprising in the slightest. I don't, I was confused at the premise of that place. It didn't make a lot of sense to me. But, uh, confirm. Can I be, not very good? Can I be speculative for just a sec?
Starting point is 00:26:34 Money laundering. Allegedly. I don't know. I don't know. It tells me. I don't know. It's just, look, it's just. Allegedly, allegedly, allegedly.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Allegedly. I just, I can't stop myself sometimes. I think Greek pizzeria makes no sense. Greek pizzeria made no sense. And that's when my feelers went up. But then I'm looking at like all the other things. And she says, you know, this is one of the places that he owns. It's a family style restaurant.
Starting point is 00:27:00 He owns it with his mom and his sister. I'm like, ugh. Yeah. Which, by the way, sis and mom. are on the deed or whatever to the restaurant. Yeah. You're still getting shafted. Let's just,
Starting point is 00:27:14 let's play a little game. It's a hypothetical. All right. What if not getting Alicia involved at all of this is actually a nice thing? Because there is some weird things going on. Able deniability. Allegedly for all of these things, obviously,
Starting point is 00:27:28 I don't know how many times we have to say allegedly, but I'm going to continue to say it. Maybe it's a good move by not having Alicia on the deed to any of these things. because there's some weird things going on with that money moving around from place to place. I don't know. You're saying he's protecting her. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Yep. Allegedly. Yeah. And then this story becoming a main focus for the show is going to make things get a little hairy. So maybe we don't want to read too far into this bad boy. But I'm just, look, I'm floating it out there. Full speculation.
Starting point is 00:28:00 That's all this is. Just in case. Just two dudes talking about a legends. That's all. All because somebody started a Greek pizzeria that doesn't make any sense. And we both thought that was weird. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:12 He's got his bubble smoke gun. Mm-hmm. What's the premise of this place? What are we doing here? It's not a cocktail bar. Like, what is this? It makes no sense. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:24 Anyway, I think he wrote down, what the fuck is this place? A Greek pizza place looks like shit. Yeah. Need a vehicle that isn't afraid to make a splash? The war is over and both sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced to cinders, an army scattered like bones in the dust. Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world, praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight.
Starting point is 00:30:03 But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins. This is old school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time, and when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job. This is a brutal rules-light nightmare with a story that emerges organically based on the decisions that the characters make. This is what it felt like to play RPGs in the 80s. Starting point is 00:30:40 See what everybody's talking about and join us in the dark. There are vampires out there. They're beside you in the darkness, but what people don't understand is that they're not monsters. They're just going to work, living there on lives. But we are a dying breed. Those who came before me, they are fearful and are not content to sit back and just disappear.
Starting point is 00:31:05 And they'll do anything to fix that. Starting point is 00:32:56 But Kelsey shows up with Bill. And her line is so fucking funny and not intentionally funny. My boyfriend never wants to come to anything with my friends. So Bill always does. It's like your life is fucking weird. Yeah, your life is bizarre. I'd need it as much as possible. Please keep telling me things going on in your life.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Yeah, it's so entertaining. But surprisingly, I was shocked. Brian walks in with Rula. And I was on the same team as you. I was like, there's no way this guy's coming back. He floundered so bad. Who else, who on earth would subject themselves to that again? Especially when they know they're doing some shady shit.
Starting point is 00:33:36 it's Brian because he walks back in there and gets like the minute that he answered the phone oh no oh boy hey dad fuck you we are not that stupid
Starting point is 00:33:52 no no and I didn't think of what it was going to be and what we were going to end up talking about I genuinely was like oh Brian's here oh he's on the phone and he's leaving okay that makes total sense this checks out he didn't actually want to go he showed face I thought it was a friend going, hey, I'm calling you so you can leave.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Correct. I thought that's exactly what it was. Like, hey, I'm going to show face because I'm powerful. And it's the same shit that we saw when he got to the studio 54 party. It's like, oh, wow, he's going to set the record straight. No, he's not. He just has to show face because he's in this situation with a mistress and he's showing ruler. Hey, I'm going to show up to these events.
Starting point is 00:34:24 He's doing it again, except this time instead of getting into a fight with somebody and leaving. He's going to have a friend call and then he's leaving. He probably had AI call him. Like, hey, chat, GPT, please call me at, uh, at three, four. 41 and we'll figure this whole thing out and I'll be able to get out of there and a hurry. Rula, you stay. No, Rula is actually going with them. Oh, this is weird.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Yeah, so something's going off. My mom. She can't, her hands and feet got cold and she's going to the hospital. So we have to get out of here. Okay, cool. We're getting out of here. Everybody else, get on the bus. Let's check in with Rula and see what's going on.
Starting point is 00:34:59 Rula, let's FaceTime her. Let's see what's going on here. Rula, everything okay? Yeah, he's over at the hospital with it. Wait, you didn't go with him? Why? sketch that was so bizarre like I looked at my girlfriend right away and I'm like if anything happened with my parents and I had to go to the hospital you'd be with me right yeah absolutely that's
Starting point is 00:35:17 fucking bizarre that she's not there and she's not asking any questions about this she just gets dropped off at the house in her dress so in my brain I'm like all right how did this situation play out all right we're heading home I'm going to drop you off you wait for me we'll still go to the polo grounds I'll just drive over there and check in I don't want you to come with me logistically that makes no fucking sense that's ridiculous no and if you put the pieces together you start to have the exact question yeah and we're going to have answered very shortly like the minute that he wasn't with her i was like oh fuck he's with the mistress right now oh you thought that right away on the bus yeah on the bus yes i was still i guess i guess because we
Starting point is 00:35:58 haven't done enough and we haven't talked about this enough because it's still you know four or five episodes into the season my thought was just like, what the fuck is going on? Like, this is bizarre. Why is she? Like, they're in absolute tatters right now. Their marriage is falling apart. They have nothing in common anymore.
Starting point is 00:36:15 She's not even going to visit his mom. Like, I still thought that he was going to the hospital to visit his mom. But as soon as that phone lights up and Joelle's like, oh, boy, oh, I don't want to even deal with this right now. My brain goes off like, Jesus Christ, Joelle, get out of the group chat that you're in. You guys are just sitting in that group chat looking for stuff about Brian. But I know. We do have to figure it out.
Starting point is 00:36:37 But that's crazy that the second that they answer the phone with Rula, then her phone rings and says, Brian's going to see her right now. And I was like, well, that's a little suspect until we get borderline confirmation. Now you can say it was an old picture. We don't really know. We'll talk about that in a minute. But that's what is being laid out as on the bus.
Starting point is 00:36:59 He's going to see his mistress right now, claiming that his parents are in the hospital. and Rula is none the wiser. But we get to the polo grounds and it looked like Rosie fucked up the coin toss. Did you see that? Yep. It's like what to grab it, like fell on the ground. Yep.
Starting point is 00:37:16 That's when we get the Rosie house update that she's adding 5,000 square feet. It's 1,500 upstairs, 1,500 downstairs. We're adding 5,000 Kelsey's like, it's not eight. Okay. All right, cool. Yeah. Now, Rula, comes back. And the funniest part about this whole thing is they're talking about wedding rings and they go over and it's like, whoa, Brian, where's your wedding ring?
Starting point is 00:37:43 Before they showed Brian, I rewound and checked the scene. I was like he had it on. Now, this is very important, guys. This is very, very important. His excuse to Kelsey, I put gel, hair gel in my son's hair. Okay. Moving on. When Rula is like, where's your wedding ring? I had to put gel, period, because he was with Rula at no point they see their son and that story doesn't track. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. This was now in the coffin number 750,000. Yeah. Like, seriously, this was brutal. I love the conversation about wedding rings and then he walks up. It doesn't have it on. That is this fucking work. That is this fucking work out this way every time that we do this in this show.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Every time we're having a conversation, the person who is actually associated with this conversation, but we don't realize it yet walks into it. Like just flat walks into it, like walking into a brick wall. Like, oh, wait a minute. Where's your wedding ring? I want to check this out. Hair gel. Yep.
Starting point is 00:38:56 We got that. He doesn't really have hair, by the way, which is also very funny. no and he he changed the story from kelsey to rula and then rula trying to defend goes well all of his surgeries at work he wears a rubber one okay where's that where's that he goes to the gym and he take it's really uncomfortable when he goes to the gym okay what about the rubber one anything there nope none of this makes sense we're we're spinning circles of bullshit right now and it's this is when it started to get a little tough i was like ooh tough look but liz and joelan are talking liz is still under the
Starting point is 00:39:31 the impression of like, no, no way. Like, I love Brian. Like, this isn't happening. Joe, you're digging too deep, low hanging fruit, all that bullshit. Low, low, laying fruit, whatever. Yeah. Lying fruit. The mistress makes an Instagram post.
Starting point is 00:39:47 And the post is from the interior of Brian's car. Now, it made it seem as though Brian was in the picture. I don't know if we got full frontal, Brian. I don't know if it was a leg, an arm. hand, leg, something like that. But the interior, when you have red interior,
Starting point is 00:40:04 it's very distinct. That's your car, Brian, and that's posted on Instagram. So let's get the timeline. I fucking loved the timeline. I love Joe Ellen, especially because of the timeline.
Starting point is 00:40:16 115. 151.15, Rula tells Liz, no longer with Brian. He's with mom and dad. 159. Text that he's going to see the mistress. Later,
Starting point is 00:40:27 Brian's mistress pokes, Picks. 515. Brian arrives at Polo Match. Checks out with me. I love a timeline. Yeah. You get a timeline like that.
Starting point is 00:40:38 There's no denying it. No, it's all laid out on a silver platter. It just gets we're weirder now. And we've seen this move. This was very similar to, uh, what's his nuts, Hawstein leases. Oh, yeah, Lenny. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:54 Because he got caught in the hot mic talking about his mistress that he was currently with. Mm-hmm. different approach same idea this is brian trying to trying to get ahead of things is him trying to calm the fires before they start because he's talking the other dudes he's like you know i made a mistake and i got now that i got stuck in it and like we'll call her the individual saying yeah that individual he just kept repeating that i'm like dude you can use pronouns like what are we doing but then he says that individual oh she just texted me another very important thing to note yeah because
Starting point is 00:41:30 in a couple of minutes, he's going to say, I haven't talked to her a month. Yeah. And before that, it had been years, which is even funnier that he added that little adage.
Starting point is 00:41:41 That just doesn't make any sense. Now, we could do like a little, let's just do a little exercise here. Okay. When they're talking about what the end goal is here, they keep saying, Brian is in the boat of,
Starting point is 00:41:53 he's trying to get ruler to leave him. He doesn't want to be the one to leave her. Is Brian using, using this stage of the show to do these insane fucking things. Because when you really think about it, yes. So when you really think about it, this doesn't make any fucking sense to me
Starting point is 00:42:10 in the normal scheme of things. I'm at a party. I get a call, act like my mom's going to the hospital, drop my wife off. I have about an hour and a half. Let me go hang out with my mistress for an hour and a half. Get her in the car. She posts a picture. I then show back up at polo grounds with my wife. That doesn't make any fucking sense.
Starting point is 00:42:27 That is the dumbest shit that I've ever heard. my life if you're somebody who's trying to get away with stuff. Is he using this spotlight of the show to try to accelerate the timeline, to try to get Rula to end up leaving him? I think he is. This does not strike me as this is what he's been doing the whole time and he's somehow been getting away with it to some extent. This definitely strikes me as, oh, we've got this whole group of people that know my
Starting point is 00:42:52 whereabouts and understand what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. Let me tell them I'm going to the hospital knowing that they're going to check in me so that they find out that I'm the mistress. Yeah, I could definitely see that. I think he's doing it on purpose. We've seen house spies do it to try to get divorced. We saw it on Shaza's sunset with MJ and Tommy. Yeah, I mean, it's either that or he's the dumbest motherfucker on the planet, like one of the two.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Which unfortunately extends to Rula because of this has been going on and this is the type of shit that he's been doing. How the hell do you not know what's going on? Exactly. I don't know. It's kind of astounding. But Liz gets Rula. She's trying to get involved and figure out a way to smooth this thing over. And she asks Brian, say, oh, you scroll on Instagram, you fucking dirtbag.
Starting point is 00:43:39 No, he's literally texting the mistress in that exact moment. And she's like, let's go for a walk and we're going to talk. I was like, this is between us. I think we're going to go now. We're going to leave not doing this on camera. So let's go. And he's like taking his mic off. This dude is fucking scrambling.
Starting point is 00:43:54 Joe Ellen shows Rula the mistress story. here's where it takes a bad turn, an unfortunate turn. I'm sure Rule is going through it. I'm sure she's trying to make heads and tails of the whole thing. This is not Joe Ellen's fault. Is she doing too much? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:12 But she's bringing you tangible evidence that the guy standing next to you without his wedding ring on is cheating on you. You don't throw it back at her because she's literally making this all a Joe Ellen problem. She has no smoke for Brian. And even I actually thought it was genuine when Joellen went up and was doing the whisper talk like, I'm not trying to hurt you. I don't want to hurt you. Like this guy is bad news.
Starting point is 00:44:38 I'm not trying to hurt you. I was like, I believe you. But then rule is like she's just, she's still perpetuating. Like she can't stop. It's just sad. I'm like, dude, tough, tough look. Even Liz in person goes at some point, admit defeat and move on. Brian, move forward.
Starting point is 00:44:55 We're moving forward. moving forward. Is this supposed to be like brownie points? Even back in April, I said a text. I'm not leaving my family then. I'm not leaving them now. Good for you. That was such a wild situation.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Yeah, that was such a wild situation where he's like, I don't really understand. This individual thinks still that I'm going to leave my family. And like, I talked to her before. I talked to her a couple of months ago and said, I'm not leaving my family now. And if I haven't by now, I'm not going to. Do you think that that sounds good?
Starting point is 00:45:25 Do you think that that's, chivalrous do you think that that's building confidence with the rest of the group that you're not going to leave your wife and that you're doing everything that you can to get back in good graces with her because it doesn't tell me that so i don't understand that's and my favorite part about that whole situation was talking about the perpetuating of the rumor brian 100% took that as yeah joellen needs to stop she needs to quit so we can move forward and like no we're not talking about joan we're talking about you we agree joelan has i i know for a fact and i've seen this before in certain situations with other people.
Starting point is 00:45:58 She's got a group chat. Like, we didn't know that picture was not posted yet. How did she find out that he's going to see the mistress right now? She definitely texted her group and said, yeah, some weird shit's going on here. And I guess it's, you know, it's Rhode Island. It's very small. But she texted her group and said, yeah, some weird shit's going on here. Brian showed up.
Starting point is 00:46:15 We didn't expect to see him. He gets on the phone right away. They're leaving. He says he's going to the hospital. Hey, if you live near him, can you just tell me what direction he's going in? Oh, he's going on the other direction. He's going to go see the mistress. That's happening.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Which I think is funny. I think it does happen. I think it's insane that she's that tied up at all of this, but it's still working and it's still giving us a lot of content to talk about. But it is wild. And Brian absolutely thought that when we were talking about them moving on, he's like, yeah, Joel needs to move on. She needs to bark up a different tree, right?
Starting point is 00:46:44 We've got to stop at the perpetuating. No, dude. We're talking about you. Yeah, no, you're doing it because you're this dumb, apparently. Yeah. The only thing that made it worse is. is Alicia. I believe them.
Starting point is 00:46:59 Don't. Don't do that. But it makes her situation make a lot more sense. Yeah. With her bill. Like that. Then I'm like, that's where you're,
Starting point is 00:47:10 that's why you are where you are. Because you believe Brian, which means that Bill's telling you some shit. And you're like, oh, okay. Yeah. I'm going to take care you down the road. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:47:20 The show gives and the show takes away. And that's kind of where we are. But I then give it and it taketh away. but oh man i mean i'm glad liz spoke up as she even said like exactly what we just said is like yeah she's stirring the pot but jo ellen's not the problem and that's not the issue here rule of us saying like joan's friends with the wrong people no you're married to the wrong guy he's friends with the wrong people because he's having sex with them yeah that's the problem yeah that's tough the dudes talking though there should be some like mistress etiquette right guys
Starting point is 00:47:55 That made me laugh so much. They're like, wait, what does she do? She's posting from his car right now when we have questions? Come on. Act like this isn't your first rodeo. Yeah, come on. That's not the problem, but this is a very funny conversation. Yeah, I love Joe Ellen putting the stamp on it.
Starting point is 00:48:11 No, he's just too much of a pussy to leave Rula and he wants her to leave him. I was like, that's exactly what's going on. You laid out how. And Jerry's like me and your sister would never do this. He's texting her on the side. I hope you don't see more of that No I don't want to taste my underwear I feel bad even bringing it back up
Starting point is 00:48:33 Yeah it's very strange Because I feel bad for them because I feel bad for us I feel icky But let's get to some some questions See what y'all had to say about it From Lisa McLean Howard It doesn't seem like the cast likes Ashley I do kind of get that vibe
Starting point is 00:48:51 But I get that vibe from everybody who's not like already friends the new people, they're having a much harder time. Like, throw Rosie into that. Like, Rosie and Ashley seem to be great friends because they've kind of bonded over the facts that they're new in this group and new to Rhode Island. But I guess Rosie's not new to Rhode Island. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:08 So I think we're just kind of seeing that play out in real time. But I don't think that it's that they don't like them. It's just that they haven't really gotten to know them yet. And they know everything about everybody else's life. I think there's a lot more out there about Rosie that we're not privy to yet that Kelsey is going to share with us in the future. which might have something to do with it, but I don't know. No, Kai Dala sign, no.
Starting point is 00:49:31 Wrong show. Kyle is annoying, but is to read too much. No, don't bring that shit in here. Oh, God. From Emily Upsen, how many cheating husbands watch this that are now going to blame AI? I think that already started. I did. That started before AI was a thing.
Starting point is 00:49:49 Running rampant in cheating households. Chat GPT, cheat GPT. Hey, yo. Hey, yo. Yeah, Mike, bros, Rula, what are you not understanding about the crazy shit you're saying about your man?
Starting point is 00:50:01 Like, yeah, like, the sentences that you're making and saying out loud, like, did you hear them what you're defending right now? Yeah. I love this just because of the end of it. But from MLO,
Starting point is 00:50:13 1969, so Brian pulled a sick mom excuse to bang his side piece while filming, whoa ma. Any, any excuse for me? That's my favorite Liz Ludd.
Starting point is 00:50:26 That one's going to live forever. Whoa. From Lisa and HB, is rule it delusional or trying to save face? Yes. That is the question. Yes. Yeah, both. I think it is both.
Starting point is 00:50:42 I really do. I'm trying to figure out a way to take a stand, but no, I can't. I think it's both. Now, here you go from the Jewelster. Brian is rapidly entering the Lenny Hockstein level of shitty husband. Yep. There you go. Good call.
Starting point is 00:50:53 Another one from the Jewelster. and him going to the mistress's house gave juicy joe on the phone at the vineyard in new jersey well done too that's perfect uh Ryan stomin 83 should Joe Ellen become a private detective I believe everything she is selling I do believe everything she's selling I do do it a good job in explaining exactly what she's doing because I know that's what she's doing she's got a group chat that is just destined to take down Brian agreed but yeah I believe her too but I do think she's do involved. Sarah Olivia,
Starting point is 00:51:23 oh, that's a bummer. Is it safe to say that this show is up there with SLC and Miami? I think so. You're 100% correct. Just Miami doesn't get the respect it deserves. I cannot believe that Beverly Hills is on and O.C. is on.
Starting point is 00:51:38 And Miami's paused. It is fucking criminal. Yeah, especially with all the stuff going on in Miami. Like you've got Lisa getting arrested for apparently being a spy. Maybe that'll save the show. Maybe. I don't fucking know.
Starting point is 00:51:52 There's just so much going on down there. We're hearing about it through social media and not watching it. It's it's kind of tough. From Jenna Fitz, do you think Joe Ellen is being a bit mean? Mean, I don't think is the word. I think she's a little inclusive. But like, yeah, this is the problem that I have with that with all the Joe Ellen stuff when it comes to Rula is what we talked about in this episode. Her and Rula have talked.
Starting point is 00:52:17 And this conversation that they had when they were on the boat, Rula did say, I would like to know if you have evidence, I would like you to tell me. Joellen has evidence. She then dismisses it and says it's AI. So no, she's not being mean. I do think that they probably had a conversation before they started filming where they were friends. And Joellen and Rula were talking.
Starting point is 00:52:36 And Joellen saw something. It was like, oh, what do you think about this? Like, oh, please bring me more evidence if you see stuff. And she brought her evidence. Now she's getting burned for it. So it just sucks. I don't think she's being mean. She's close to trying to be a good friend, but more so.
Starting point is 00:52:52 shitstering. I think she was trying to be a good friend. I think the lack of reception from Rula has pushed her to the, now I'm irritated and I'm talking shit. Yeah. Let's do one more. Oh, of course. A Bachelor O'Malley, more steel Rhode Island accents, please. No fucking problem. I'll do this all day, all day.
Starting point is 00:53:20 Rhode Island accent. We're going to have to at some point to a, try to figure out what the difference between Jersey and Rhode Island accents are. You have to put them next to each other. I think it'd be very small nuances, but it is so, so, so, so close. Honestly, where I stand, what I'm hearing,
Starting point is 00:53:38 Rhode Island is an exaggerated version of the Jersey accent. Like, it is, yeah. It's like a caricature of the Jersey accent. So I think that's where I am. Yeah, actually, I think that's on the nose. but tremendous, tremendous show. It is so, so good. And I cannot wait until next week.
Starting point is 00:53:58 That's the great thing about that. So you know it's a good show. As soon as it's over, I'm like, fuck, I need more. I need more. And this is coming on the heels of Beverly Hills. I think Rhode Island is getting us through Beverly Hills, honestly, knowing that this is on the other side that we're just like trudging along.
Starting point is 00:54:15 Absolutely. That's all I got. You got anything else? Nope. Yep. That's our show. Rob pros out of here. Whoa, my.
