Bros & Shows - FIRE ALEX BASKIN! (RHOC Reunion Full Recap)
Episode Date: November 7, 2025What's up Bros? Baskin strikes again. This was nonsense. There was nothing to this episode. The only topic of note, Katie has returned, was so glossed over immediately that it gives us no hope for par...ts 2 and 3. Somehow, Emily has made this whole story out to something so much bigger than it actually is. The reunion consists of rehashing arguments from 10 years ago, the same back and forth from Tamra and Shannon and Gretchen. There is a common denominator with the shows we love, crashing and burning. VPR, RHOBH, RHOC... two words for you. ALEX BASKIN. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

As well as creative pest control, tasty lime aid recipes, and fun sex act trend.
We also chat about boobs and movies and wigs and stuff, which is obviously the public service part of the podcast.
So get ready for screaming, cackling, and some occasional educational moments as two massively unqualified queens talk about what it's like to be the epitome of fabulous.
Go subscribe to The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie Mattel and Katia Zamalachcova on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you're listening right now.
Two more.
I've ascended into a new level of hate watch where it's, uh,
oh yeah this is still on watch yeah that's a really good way to put it yeah oh yeah that's what i was doing
i was watching this watch that's where i am now
pros and shows i gotta have me my pros and shows bros and shows bros and shows i gotta have me
my bros and shows good afternoon everybody and welcome back to another episode of bros and shows
i'm your co-host steel russell joined as always by the one and only
Holy shoot.
Very good.
What the hell is that?
Holy shoot.
I thought it was funny.
Holy shoot.
Holy shirts and pants, Captain.
Holy shirts and pants.
Yeah, two more.
Look, we're here.
We're there.
We're close.
I don't know where we are.
I don't really know where I was when I watch this.
I literally,
I went and got my haircut this morning.
I came back and then turned it on.
and I kid you not
like 15 minutes in
I looked I was looking at the TV
I swear I was watching
but I don't know what happens
I think my brain
is doing something
it's like
pre-traumatic stress disorder
where my brain is just
trying to stop me
it's trying to not take any information
I don't know what it is
pre-tSD
yeah it was definitely pre-tasty
I did have to go back
and re-watch like three or four minutes
because I don't remember what happened in those three to four minutes.
And it was early on.
That being said, when we got later into the episode and Emily started talking about Luke,
I did actively shut my brain off.
I couldn't do it anymore.
I've hit my limit with all of that.
We've had too much, Emily.
I don't know what the fuck we're doing here.
This episode did not even remotely go how I would have liked it to go.
And I was really set in the bar low.
Just give me something here.
And it just simply did not deliver in any way, shape, or form.
Nope. It missed on all fronts. And you know it's going to be shitty when we mention Alexis
Polino, I don't know, 10 times. Why are we talking about her? Why on earth is she even in
the conversation for this? She was not on the season. Why are we bringing up things from last
year? What are we doing? I don't, I look, it's the first episode. So I don't know exactly
what we're going to get into in the next two episodes, but should not just get immediately into.
And yeah, they started talking about the Katie stuff and the fact that she wasn't
there for half the year, but to not spend the majority of this episode on what happened
with Katie and how we're going to move past it or just trying to open different doors
to see if we can at least have a conversation about what the fuck transpired gives me zero
hope. It gives me no hope at all. And I think that was my issue too. We we danced around
five different issues without actually getting into them. We've got how people feel about certain
things i know they're setting the table but don't with this one i don't need the table set dive into
some shit i think that it would go a long way for the audience if bravo acknowledged what's going on
if they're like look we know this has been a slog through this is going to be two episodes and we're
going to dive right in rather than elit assa on like this has been normal or that this is good
or that we have a lot to talk about we need answers for why one of these women present
on the couch was not present for half the season.
We need answers as to why that was allowed to happen.
Yeah, for production.
From the show, I want the network to take a stance.
I want Andy to say something.
Alex Baskin's in his fucking ear.
I want him to come out on stage.
I don't even know what Alex looks like.
Alex Baskin needs to come out on stage and be part of this.
He wants to be part of the show.
He's trying to mold the show.
Don't even get me started on the unseen footage that could have possibly helped us through this.
Which, by the way, that is a more.
concerning issue because we've seen that in a number of housewife shows and the one off shows
like summer house what the fuck like i get it when we have a salt lake season like we had last
season and there just simply wasn't enough time to put that in there and yeah it does hit at
the reunion but you know i'm not going to like split hairs and say well you should have
inserted it here you should have inserted it there there was so much going on in salt lake last
season that i don't blame them for this there was fucking nothing you kicked somebody off the show
for half the season and did nothing for five straight episodes.
You can't insert a scene, a very touching scene, a nice scene that has to do with
what's going on with Shannon and her dad after Tamara called into question is alcoholism.
We can't have that during the season.
This is just a one-off little thing that we're going to do here while Shannon and Tamara are
fighting.
That's bullshit.
That's fucking terrible production.
This show sucks.
Get Alex Baskin out of here.
Get him out of the valley.
Get him out of fucking Bravo across the world.
Throw him into a Netflix show.
Let him go start a Netflix show because Netflix is just throwing money in anybody.
Get them off of Bravo because I don't understand how we have a season of fucking nothing at all.
And we have a really touching moment with Shannon and her dad.
And that just gets to throw in in the reunion.
Like what the fuck are we doing?
What was more important that we couldn't have that?
Gretchen and Tamara going after each other again, fuck off.
I think that him being in Andy's ear in that moment is the perfect metaphor for what he's doing to Bravo and what his role is on this show.
just being in their ears, over-fucking producing, trying to generate these moments that don't
hit the storylines that Alex Baskin on every single show that he has his hand in, the
storylines that he's trying to perpetuate and get us to focus on are all terrible.
You're not good at your job anymore.
You're washed up and you are ruining the shows that we like.
You have taken OC, one of the cornerstone, flagstone, flagship programs of Bravo, and you've
driven it into the ground.
It's unwatchable.
And then we have to hear that you're actively speaking to Andy right now.
I know you're the producer, but get your hands off of everything.
I think that he's gotten to this level, that he thinks that he has been around for so long,
that he's done so many things, that his way is the right way.
He doesn't take any criticism.
He's not reading the comments online.
The fact that we are all out here yelling and screaming your name, we shouldn't know who you are, Alex.
But I think that you want that.
I think you want the spotlight.
And I think you think you're hot shit.
You're terrible at your job.
You are absolutely bad.
The shows that you have your hand in are all terrible.
And we can all point to the common denominator.
It is Alex Baskin.
So let this be the final time we have to fucking say this.
Please get him off of these shows.
He is not good.
He does not have the pulse of the audience anymore.
He's washed up.
Washed up and gone.
And I will say,
before we even get into this i you know we're in a bad spot when i i was just laughing at tamara
the whole time like i was laughing at everything she was doing even a little like 14 year old
antics where she was just making faces that was the only reprieve i because i just i don't give
a shit about this show anymore to be quite i don't either i really just don't so if i'm just
going to laugh at stupid shit i'm going to laugh at stupid shit the most enjoyable part of this whole show
this whole episode because no one else really clocked in was just shannon and tamra like i was just
laughing at the antics of them going back and forth and just getting mad at each other and just obviously
Shannon had a good reunion I think Shannon yeah like Shannon showing up and getting involved and not immediately
getting emotional and crying and obviously I'm going to give her a ton of leeway with her dad because obviously
she can cry during mad I'm not going to tell her not to cry that was emotional but the rest of it
like she was going toe to toe to with Tamara which was enjoyable like that was fine by me because these two
have a history and they've been together for so fucking long that the two of them fighting is giving me
enjoyment because, yeah, down the road in a couple of years, they'll probably be friends again,
and I'm okay with that. Same with Vicky. If Rove Vicki into that equation, Tamara and Vicki have a
long history. They're going to be friends again. Like, that's what they are. They are. They posted
caramel. Yeah. What is it? Protein powder, I think it is. I don't know. They're collaborating
on whatever. But they're already friends. I do think that what we're doing now and, you know,
we had a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel with this reunion. I'm on, I'm over the
reunion. I don't fucking care anymore. I think what they're doing now is,
is just paving the way for Vicky to come back.
That's the only way that this show has any semblance of hope.
I don't care what you do with the rest of the cast.
I really don't fucking care.
You better get rid of,
you better get rid of Emily at the very least,
which I again don't think they're going to do.
I have no hope.
But you bring Vicky back at least it's watchable
because I could watch.
And I've come into that,
I guess that frame of mind where I'm okay with Shannon, Tamara, and Vicky,
because that's at least fun because they do have a history together.
The rest of them, I could not fucking care less about.
If Alex Baskin's involved, I genuinely believe that it's going to continue to be this way.
He's going to be.
Because, well, like, not to rehash what we just went through, but I'm going to bring it up again, only because as we're working through it, I'm not even going to recap this one, like, topic by topic.
We'll jump around.
No, just jump around.
Because it's so fucking.
I'll tell you right now, our listeners don't care.
They're just, they like our misery and they're probably not even watching it.
I'm sure there's a handful of people that actually watch the episode.
But I guarantee you, like 90% of our listeners are just listening to us because they know we're just going to be pissed off.
So let's just jump around. Let's go topic to topic. Let's get a little free form with this.
Hey, why don't you throw that notebook out. Just toss it out the window right now.
Just so I know, like, it's good to have the context of some things. That's all.
I know. Like, for example, that's why I jumped to to this part right here, because when Katie brings up to Shannon, did you not call?
all Alex and have him ice me off the show.
First of all, Alex being in Andy Zier, going, I didn't do that.
I don't believe you.
I think you're the slimyest dude around.
I think that he-
Slade was either the call, the call from the bloggers.
That's what I said last week.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's what I said last week.
It's one of the two.
You can't convince me that it's not one of the two.
I still think it's probably Slade, but I would not even remotely be surprised if it was
Alex Baskin, just based on how much he wants to get involved in
this. It's fucking ridiculous. Or it's him like cleaning up a mess or something. I don't know what
the fuck it is. And I don't care to know what the fuck it is. But can we stop asking Jen if she
remembers shit? I'm fucking dumb with it. Like, what does she have Alzheimer's? Like, I don't get
it. She doesn't remember anything. Even in her explanation, while Katie's looking at her saying,
you told me that Shannon called Alex to get you off the show because she was fed up with you. I don't
remember that. In her explanation, she looks at Heather and goes, I don't even remember doing this. I don't
remember doing that. What the fuck is wrong with you? Like, seriously, what is wrong with you? Are you just
afraid to talk? Like, I do think that Jen is afraid to talk because she's afraid to step on toes and
piss anybody off. But at this point, you've already cut ties with Katie, at least take the stance that
says, I didn't say that. Stop with the I don't remember shit because it doesn't work. It doesn't work.
And in this one, if any of this is true, if we have the power now as housewives to call the producer and
say, hey, fuck her paycheck. Fuck her livelihood. I don't like her. So I'm going to need her
off of the show. I guarantee that that had a hand in Katie not being on the majority of this
season of OC. I think that Emily said something to Alex. I think that Shannon said something to
Alex. I'm sure that Tamara probably said something to Alex. And I just think it's insane that when
you look at something like this, which is subjective, this is not an objective error on her part.
this is subjective because we're trying to figure out what's true what's not the level of ridiculous
as far as this drama goes compared to 90% of the problems that are brought to this group this is a
non-issue it's a non-starter so if i'm a producer and i'm going to get talked into removing a housewife
that the entire audience is lobbying behind right like that's the craziest part we're all telling you
we're all screaming on instagram we want katie back this show sucks
she got hosed we don't like this what the fuck and you're going to lean heavier into removing her like
i can't stand it i can't stand the hubris the fucking ego of these people like jesus it's so
frustrating that's why i started it off by saying we need at least at the very least an explanation
from bravo like you didn't do you didn't do any explanations you can't just say well you missed out
on the other half of the season okay why like you guys are behind why she wasn't in the
show. I don't care what the reason is. You can give me the reason that everybody's speculating
about that no one wanted to film with her. They felt uncomfortable. You had to, I guess you were
in a rock in a hard place and you didn't know what to do because they refused to film with her.
Make them film. Exactly. Make them film is fine, but that's a separate issue. We need an explanation
of any kind. And to just ignore it is to call your audience stupid. Do you want to call your audience
stupid? Do you want your audience to sit here and say, why is Katie not filming? Oh,
We're just not going to talk about that.
Awesome.
That's great.
But the bigger problem is, even if Alex didn't have that conversation with either Emily, Shannon, or Tamara, the fact that Katie's able to sit there and say, plain, you called the producer of the show to get me off.
If it's true or not, doesn't fucking matter.
In my eyes, it just simply doesn't matter.
We can't break that.
That's a fifth, sixth wall that we just simply can't break.
I'm okay with breaking the fourth wall here and there, talking to the camera.
people and the producers that are on set. Fine. That's cool sometimes. Sometimes it hits. Sometimes
it doesn't. This will never hit. The fact that the producer is even in question, the fact that
it's even that easy to have a conversation with the producer of the show about who's on the cast
and it's brought into question is a huge problem. It's a big internal problem. And we're not
going to address that because we're not even addressing why Katie wasn't on the show. So I'm so
fucking done. I'm so over this show. It's such bullshit.
I mean, we're one step away from, yeah, you called Andy to complain about me.
Like, that's where we're getting to.
Alexis texted Andy during the fucking reunion, his seating chart, and he's joking about it.
That shouldn't be allowed.
This shouldn't be happening.
This shouldn't be allowed.
Alexis shouldn't be involved in this.
She is not on the show anymore.
Alex Baskin should definitely not be being discussed on stage.
As far as he might have contributed to some of this drama that we're watching, you don't have a fucking orange, dude.
No.
And you never will.
like give it up i'm so on board with you like this is huge problem this is this is like i know
that we hate watch and like seems like every season we hate watch this is a massive fucking
problem for that show this is a massive fucking problem for any show that he's involved in and i know
we love to hate especially when it's a bad show and at the end of vpr we went after jeremiah
fine i don't care that was because the show sucked and we knew that he was involved and we watched
to step into the finale and be like, do this.
It's like, fuck off.
We already don't want that.
This is even bigger of a problem than that.
Alex Baskin is in a bigger problem, is a bigger situation than what we had to go through with Jermaine.
So like, what are we doing here?
How do they not, you've been doing this for, what is this, the 19th fucking season?
How is no one at Bravo internally looking at this like, all right, yeah, we might have to change something here.
And if they run it back with the same shit, I know we're going to have to.
watch it, but the audience shouldn't. The audience shouldn't watch anymore.
From the darkest corners of our imagination, comes a game show that's more ridiculous than terrifying.

Therapy is too expensive, but this podcast isn't.
No, it's just, it's really frustrating and I'm really glad you have this similar visceral reaction
because this is like me the entire time.
It's a fucking joke of a show.
Well, we set the tone of the reunion with that.
And so now I'm going into it going, okay, like, I don't really give a shit what the responses are now because I need to know what your response is from the network. This is stupid. Literally. This is really fucking stupid. It should not be a question of let's just let the ladies decide this on the stage. This isn't like a spat that these two women are having. Yes, it is. But it's gone well beyond that. You need to step in from a company standpoint, from a corporation standpoint, and say.
Hey, yeah, no, like we recuse ourselves.
We were not involved in any of this.
If you come out and straightforward say that, then we have no choice but to believe you.
But that's at least addressing it.
You have to address the fucking elephant in the room.
This is not a problem between Emily and Katie sitting there saying, who got me off the show?
You need to step in.
There's a reason why Katie wasn't on the show.
And it's probably not because Emily said, I want her off the show.
It's probably not because Shannon said I want her off the show.
It's because the producers decided to do it.
this is a you problem get involved like what the fuck are we doing i just can't imagine watching the
product that you've rolled out for the past i don't know six years of this miserable show and
you're going to look at in the past three years you've had two not bad seasons horrible seasons
and you're going to look at that okay you bring in a newcomer last year right and she came in
strong sure she had her ups and downs last year was a decent season it gave us hope for this year
so if you want to play like the simplicity game and look at the variables that contributed to last season
what was one contributing factor could have been katy i don't know i'm not giving her that much
credit but it could have been because she was on the show liar i have no idea but we're not
that's the biggest point yes like i i don't care if katy's a liar or not they're all liars
i don't give a shit i simply do not care if katy's a liar she might be a bigger liar than everybody
else. And maybe at some point we could get into that. I'm not willing to get into all of that and
have a specific conversation about whether or not Katie's lying about things because Bravo won't
get involved. There's a bigger question that needs to be answered first. And if you did the right
thing, you started off. And I don't care about the little joke that Andy made. Oh, yeah,
you know, the whole back half of the season, you weren't there. We didn't get to see it. Or are you happy
to be here now? That's not fucking funny. That's not funny. And it's not addressing the problem.
You can't just smack us in the face and say, hey, we know that Katie wasn't there.
Why wasn't Katie there?
That's the question.
Can you fucking answer it, please?
And the fact that they didn't do it in the first episode means they're not going to do it the whole time.
Oh, no, that was them addressing it.
And like, and for anyone that's like, well, Alex did respond.
It's like, no, going through Andy's earpiece is not addressing anything.
And again, it just shows the structure and the chaos that's behind the scenes.
you removed one of the pieces that potentially helped make it a decent season last year.
You brought Gretchen in.
I can't imagine watching the edited episodes week to week before you're dropping them.
You're sitting there going, this is good shit.
This is good shit.
So at what point do you look at this product that you're force feeding us and go,
oh, maybe we shouldn't keep doing the same thing over and over and over.
and over and over and over.
You know what the other thing is? That's very funny.
I don't even blame Gretchen. I don't actually blame anybody.
I don't blame anybody on the cast anymore. I just blame production because Gretchen came in.
We knew why she came in. We were hopeful that she came in under her own volition to go after Tamara,
that she had ideas of her own. You cannot convince me in a million years that any of these were Gretchen's
ideas. She sat down with production. Production said this is what we're going to do because it's
going to be a good show. It's not even fucking Gretchen's fault. Like, what are we
doing i can't believe this no it's not i was she great no she wasn't no but this this show is a
product of bad decisions that's what we're watching right now it's a product of multiple bad
decisions over an extended period of time that have led us to this spot and i think the biggest
thing and then we can jump to different topics or whatever but i think the biggest thing is
it's almost like the NBA right now when you let the players control the contracts and you
let the players
fucking decide where they want to play,
who they're going to play for.
When you James Harden yourself
and you fucking force,
or you allow for the talent to
and you allow for the talent to dictate
who they want on this show,
who they want on their cast,
who they want on their team,
and you actually listen to that,
you fucking Daryl Morey yourself out of here?
Like, that's a fucking problem.
Like, that's my biggest issue.
I know, I watch.
The NBA is like probably,
I think your least interested sport.
I think that's probably fair to say.
When I went to that Sixers game,
when they were in the playoffs a few years ago,
I got I got hooked.
I understood finally.
When I went to the game.
And I go to that game with you?
We went to one together.
It wasn't my first.
Yeah,
that was because Bruce kept getting tickets and he kept getting busy.
So I kept getting seats to the playoffs.
And when I went there and you see it in person,
it kind of helps you.
Yeah.
The game clicks.
Like hockey.
Exactly.
Hi, man.
Hockey in person is.
I would argue the best sporting event to go to.
God, it's the best.
Yeah, especially when your team's good.
Let's talk about sports.
Flyers are knocking on the door a little bit, which is nice.
I don't think this is the year yet, but to have a little positivity with that team has been comforting.
Because when the Flyers are good, God, these games are amazing.
But, yeah, to my original point, like, we cannot allow casts to dictate who is on this show.
Like you said, I think the best.
point made this entire season is what you just said she could be a liar who fucking cares
why is that the by the way now of like whether you should be on the show or not i'm assuming you
saw the emily emily's yeah you're doing the same fucking thing by the way and that's so goddamn
funny because she's sitting here on this reunion telling katie that it's different and i will
differentiate the difference that was crazy talking about your custody
issues 12, 19 years ago, whatever Katie said it was, but it's way different than what you're
doing to me. Let's keep in mind what Katie did to Emily was talk to her daughter and say,
hey, how was babysitting? It was okay. It seems like Emily's kids say that Emily is telling them
that Heather's mean to her. That's the differentiation. That's fucking ludicrous that we're
actually redoing this because I was streaming at the TV at this point.
when Katie starts talking about finally,
how is this any different than what you did to me last year?
It is different because what Emily did to you last year is a million times worse.
What you did was probably tell the truth of what your daughter was saying
because Emily, a thousand percent, you cannot convince me otherwise, goes home and says,
yeah, Heather was a little mean to me.
And after seeing more and more of her sons in particular with Keller and Luke,
they absolutely perpetuate it.
And they absolutely tell people that Heather was being mean to my mom
and she was talking about it to my dad.
That happens.
You can't convince me otherwise.
But to see that and in real time understands that she's trying to crucify Katie for talking
to bloggers, when you're in bloggers DMs trying to, I don't want to say, bully them
into posting things, but pushing them to do things and having an honest conversation about
what you think Alexis is doing to you and what you think Katie's doing to you, it's unbelievably
hypocritical.
It might be the most hypocritical thing that we've ever seen.
caught redhanded. Like this is unbelievable that she's absolutely going to go on a tour to try
to get Katie off because she's sitting down with bloggers. And you're DMing bloggers and the blogger
released it the day after your fucking wife swap. That's unbelievable to me that she can sit there
with a straight face. Like that's a cancelable offense. That's a fireable offense. You got Katie
kicked off the show. Now you have to go. I want the first half of the season to be Emily free because
everybody's talking about it. That's how it should go, right? You set the precedent.
her wages and give them to Katie because you owe her money now like I swear to God and that content
creator in particular because we don't like when bloggers get involved we don't like when people
do this I will say this because we happen to like that certain creator exonerated by releasing
the evidence in my opinion this is yeah because it's applicable evidence this isn't like oh
I was talking to Bronwyn about this and that and whatever it's like it doesn't matter this is just
like out of nowhere.
This is actually applicable evidence when we've seen her be hypocritical.
And everybody's saying that she's hypocritical.
I haven't seen one person that says they even like Emily.
So I don't know why Bravo even keeps her on.
But to say all of those things and then a blogger releases that in a good setting,
that's fine by me because that's applicable.
So let me just lay out something like very cut and dry, clear and obvious.
Okay.
So, as you said, as we all know, Katie was removed from half of the season.
She has referenced her going to reference in this reunion that she lost out on a paycheck
because as we know, these Housewives are now episode to episode.
It's not season-long contracts.
So if you miss an episode, you miss a payday.
So we watched Emily last week in the finale after she has had all of her issues with her
body image and people commenting on it, things like that.
We watched her fat shame Shannon in the van when our whole platform has been anti-bully,
anti-negativity towards people's image.
Okay, cool.
So we fast forward.
You had somebody removed from the show affecting their livelihood because you don't like
them in particular for contacting bloggers, sitting down with bloggers, and getting information
and then releasing that information.
Yesterday, it was proven that you have done the same exact thing.
So every single hill that you stand on is a fucking lie.
Every platform you try to lobby for is a lie and you're affecting people's lives because you just don't like her.
And then the crazier thing is you know production has the majority of this information far before we do.
You don't protect your cast.
You don't protect your employees if you're allowing for this to happen for a multitude of reasons.
You need to be able to look at Emily and say, I know you've been here a while.
You don't get to dictate who we're going to put on this show.
By the way, we know what's going on behind the scenes.
we've seen the fucking messages.
So at this juncture, you have Alex in the ear, okay?
And this goes down right now.
I don't know.
Hats off to Katie for not standing up and looking at Andy or looking behind the cameras
and going, fuck you guys for allowing this to happen.
Meanwhile, I got ostracized and exiled from this show.
But the woman sitting across from me, bad-mouthing me right now,
has done all of the same things, if not worse.
And then when we get to the actual conversation, we've been waiting for it.
Like you said, the differentiation conversation, it is ludicrous to me that there's any
fucking ground to stand on for Emily.
And the crazier part, and this is what really fucking got me.
This is what made me yell at the TV.
Gina, Heather, and two other people come to Emily's defense and go, you know, yeah,
it's different because she wasn't talking about the kids.
What the fuck are you saying right now?
Because she was referencing Katie in the story.
It's about her children.
It's way more damning than anything that Katie has said the entire time she's been part of OC.
So we're allowing that to happen.
Nobody on stage is standing up for Katie.
No one's got the balls to be like, yeah, you know what?
That was fucked.
I wanted Tamara to get involved, but Tamara was already like they started off with what she's been going through and everything.
And obviously great that Teddy's been able to get through everything and get all the tumors cleared out.
that's awesome. Seems like Tamra's in a better place with all of that.
And obviously she had to face the music for certain things that she did as Tamara does every single season.
She was already involved in so many things, but I still wanted her because we, going into this,
had the idea that Tamara and Katie had teamed up and we were going to get someone in her quarter.
We were going to get someone defending Katie when these things came up,
when that came up about what happened last year with Emily versus what happened with Emily and her kids,
versus all of the other shit that Katie got involved in.
I thought Tamara was going to have some sort of defense that she didn't speak up.
But honestly, in a way, I'm kind of happy she didn't because you get to see the true colors of
everybody else on the cast that is not stepping up, that is not speaking on her side,
even just like, I don't care if you like her or not, or you want her on the show or not,
to just sit there and listen to Emily's spew that nonsense and try to differentiate between the two
when there is a differentiation between the two.
emily's was way worse and for no one to say that it just kind of shows where everybody is and i don't
again i don't give a fuck if you like katy or not i think it's absolutely insane and i think that
all it does is cause you to look further into this whole thing and say okay well i know where a lot of
these women stand and you can look into that however you'd like and it seems kind of interesting
to me that this cast in particular has alienated the only woman of color on the entire cast
And then now we have a chance to to own up to some things, to show her that she has support,
to show her that she's not out on an island by herself.
And instead of doing that, you rally behind Emily, who we have as an audience proven over and over again is not trustworthy, is a massive hypocrite,
and is perpetuating all of the same shit that she's doing.
So this was a big moment for me.
No one speaking up spoke volumes as I'm sitting there and watching.
I'm like, what the fuck did this woman do to you guys that anyone else in this room hasn't done?
And why do you have this sudden urge now to cold shoulder her and now Emily's your champion?
When did this happen?
What the fuck is going on?
It's pathetic.
Honestly, it's just, it's pathetic that anybody is going to sit there, even on that cast.
Like, I don't care what you think of Emily as a person to sit there and just not get involved.
Like, this is an easy thing to get involved in.
This is probably, I'm racking my brain.
right now the only topic that really matters in the grand scheme of things like i know the last two
episodes we're really going to get into tamer and gretchen i don't give a fuck about tamar and gretchen
this was the only topic that i would imagine the majority of fans actually were invested in let's see
what happens katy's back seems like she's got tamer in her corner emily's going to have to answer for
some things let's see how it goes will anybody get involved just speaking from a performance
standpoint for housewives this is the only thing that's going to resonate with people
And you're going to sit there and just keep your mouth shut?
Like, you're not even doing your job, among other things.
Honestly, you're just being bad people.
But you're not even going to do your job and show up and get involved in this.
Like, this could be such a huge thing.
This could have been the entire first episode.
And all of you have a chance to get involved in it.
And not one person gets involved in it.
And it's just Emily versus Katie.
And obviously, we already like Katie.
I don't even know if we like Katie.
I think we just hate Emily so much.
And we're sitting here like, this is insane.
that you're going to be this hypocritical.
Obviously, we're going to back Katie because she's not getting any support.
That's what's going on here.
And for no one to step in, just tells me you guys are doing a shitty job at your own jobs.
Especially if you've watched any of this season, and I know you've seen her episodes,
because no matter when you film this reunion, it was after she had already finished her tenure
on this season.
So you've seen her responses to this.
You've seen that she's having real emotional responses to being ostracized.
She's sad.
she feels neglected she's questioning a lot of shit watching her with matt and like listening to
how this has affected her and watching her like go through this whole whole i think it is funny that
that's the only husband that's coming out too well good like fuck the other husbands i mean no not
shane she's great i named our episode today she's great wife swap i named it shame rocks emily
sucks yeah that's a really good name um yeah i mean like Shane but like he's not
going to object to anything he's not going to get involved in anything he's just going to do
what i don't need anybody else out makes his life easier terry is useless when he's going to crack a couple of
jokes and slade's not there thankfully otherwise yeah who else is even really going to come out like
eddie was barely even on the show this year so matt coming out and that is the most normal of all
of them so i actually do want to see what he has to say because he's actually going to obviously he's
going to back up his wife and this is a fine moment for a husband to get involved and if you're
going to be one of those people, which we are typically, that says, I don't want the husband's getting
involved in this. For this one, I hope you put that aside because it's her only support. And it's
ludicrous. And we need someone to support. And I know that people are going to be like, well, you know,
it's her husband. Of course he's going to support. Of course he is. But no one else is. So at least we get
someone speaking on her behalf. Yeah, dude. It's, it's just stupid. It's stupid TV to watch. It's the fact that
they they're just so blind and ignorant to all of it.
And it's because it's this show has turned into with these women in particular,
the Tamara, Emily, Gina, not Jen as much and not Heather because she does her own thing.
But this show has turned into a means to an end for these ladies.
That's how they view it.
This is mine to push what I'm doing, to push the gated group or for Emily to bitch
about her kids and her husband you know and for for tamara she did use it but she's obviously got two
tees which is wildly successful about taking away from her accolades uh camera's been on the show for
fucking 19 years like yeah so tamara's earned she's earned she's earned it but we're watching them
use this show as their own platform it's like they get to dictate how it's run they get to
dictate what happens and they get to dictate what's promoted and that's not something i need to see
you might know it as the time when Bridgeton takes place,
or it's the time when Jane Austen wrote her books.

And that's why we're in this predicament that we're in now, because they no longer approach the show as a housewife show.
It is their show.
This is my show.
This is Emily Simpson show.
This is Gina's show.
And we want this to happen.
So we're not that even if they force them to film, let's say that, it still would have been objectively bad because they will do whatever they feel like doing.
they're not going to be put in uncomfortable positions if they don't want to be and without the people that they want them they want around them and you can see that with gretchen this season as well like no gretchen didn't have a good year no i don't give two shits about gretchen but she could have had a much bigger impact and you watch as they navigate throughout the year they use gretchen they use her in between her and tamra to get close to use her to perpetuate and push their stories
lines but when push comes to shove it wasn't really this 50 50 matchup of oh tamara's doing this
and uh and gretchen's doing that because again we spent the last quarter of the season
throwing gretchen under the bus for being tamara but tamara's still being tamara we're not going
to address that because she's part of this core group this is our show and we're going to make
it our show and anybody that has anything to rattle that cage we're going to get
rid of. We're going to push them out. That's true. We're watching a click. Like,
we're just watching a click hang out for 19 episodes. And it's bad. It's so bad. I don't even
know what else is going on. Like, all we have to talk about now, the rest of the reunion.
Again, the Tamara versus Shannon stuff again, like, it's entertaining just because I know there's
a history there. And Tamara's still refusing to just take any responsibility. She did apologize
at the end, but it was a Tamara apology.
Nothing to really sink our teeth into there.
That's just par for the course, honestly.
And the only other shit that happens is that Gretchen finally does come out,
and it's just more Tamara and Gretchen.
And I think this is going to be like an episode and a half.
I mean, we had 10 minutes of it in this episode.
We're going to start with it in the next episode.
It probably won't finish until halfway through.
And then at some point, Matt's going to come out.
Like, I don't know because I had such, and I don't know why.
I don't want to say I had high hopes.
But, like, I was somewhat looking forward to this being better than the season.
And the fact that we just glossed over so much shit that we actually kind of cared about just gives me no hope for it.
Like, I just simply don't care because Gretchen and Tamara, even after having months and months of time to reflect on this and figure out what they said to each other and figure out what they're going to say to each other at the reunion, did you hear anything differently in that argument back and forth that didn't happen during the season?
No.
It's all the same shit.
like we haven't had any more aha moments we haven't had any more justifications for actions we haven't
had any more time to dwell and think on it and be like wow maybe i shouldn't have done that well
maybe i shouldn't have done that i take that back or you know what i found out some more shit about
that stuff that we were talking about in episode seven no it's just the same and like i don't know why
i would have expected anything differently and i didn't when it came to grudgeon and tamara because
they've been doing this for so long like this is what it was always going to amount to it was
always going to get into them just budding heads and not taking anything back and not making any
progress. So I don't care if you're going to show me that scene where they quote unquote made up
on the beach and came back holding hands. And the fact that the rest of the cast, even though Shannon
went to her confessional immediately and was like, yeah, no, this isn't going to last. The rest of the
cast were like, we thought that was such a nice moment and maybe there was a chance to move forward.
There was never a chance to move forward. The fact that Shannon's the only one who went to her
confessional and said, no, this isn't going to fucking last. Of course, it's not going to last.
is ludicrous to me.
Like, what the fuck is going on in these women's heads that make you think,
oh, maybe we can move forward and this is going to be great.
You all have to be thinking the same thing that we're thinking.
Gretchen's brought back on to go after Tamara.
It's not going to work.
They're going to have a fake makeup and then it's going to fall apart.
And the same shit that we've been arguing about for 17 years is going to come back to
fruition.
Like, of course, it was always going to do that.
And the fact that we even have, and I know, again,
we're going to have like 45, 50 minutes of them continuing.
there's not going to be anything said.
We're not going to have any new information.
We're going to get into the Gretchen stuff on social media.
But that's not about Tamara.
That's about Gretchen.
And they're going to try to paint it against Tamara.
It's just going to be bullshit.
It's going to be stupid.
I'm not even remotely excited to watch it next week.
Nope, not even an iota of me wants to watch it next week.
And to further your point, like I said, I don't know, two weeks ago,
like this whole season turned into
Tamara has to be friends with everybody
according to Gina and Emily and Heather
so we're going to force that the whole season
and if you're not her friend
then you're out like
I don't care that's not a good
storyline and the only
things that we're referencing in this
the only new evidence
is shit from 15 years ago
well remember that one time in season 15
you said to Bronn what
What are you doing?
And then, like, for Emily, she mentions Luke in the first 30 seconds of this shit.
I didn't listen.
I would have muted it, but my brain did that for me.
The first 30 seconds of the episode, she talks about him.
And then when Andy got to her and like the motherhood thing, saying that everyone's like a strong mama here,
which I agree with that part, but it goes into Emily's thing.
We just watched her on Wife Swap, which is not a good look for her as far as attending to her children and things like that.
that and she goes through not just like a broad explanation of where they're at now with
Luke and again our issue's not sharing the fact that Luke is going through this or as a parent
there's difficulties at times our our issue is the depth in which we're discussing this child
and his diagnosis and his symptoms and all of these things that he may one day have to address
because Emily's made it her entire storyline after she got pissed off at the reunion for Katie
talking about her own daughter referencing her kids.
So I'm grateful genuinely that there's mothers out there and parents out there that were
able to take this journey from Emily and resonate and be like, thank you for sharing.
Like that's a positive that came from this.
But again, in my head, you're giving way too much info.
This child has not agreed.
he's going to grow up someday and he may not want all of his shit out there but you made that
decision for him the one thing that i will say is one thing stood out to me she said i'd have
to lean on people like gina and heather to talk to to get that sort of emotional connection
that i can't get with shade what the fuck are you talking about i guess you can potentially spin it
into a way of yeah you guys are both going through the same thing so it is tough to lean on
each other but like that's a bit of a stretch to plain as day say it that I'm not getting
the emotional support that I need at home while going through this so I have to lean on Heather
and Gina is wild well on top of that made me hate her even more on top of that again we just
watched your housewife swap we've seen Shane with the kids we know how much Shane does
She's painting him as this emotionless, disconnected, like, you know, it's good that he doesn't have any emotion because he's able to look at this very pragmatically, which I'm sure is helpful because he is pragmatic.
You're painting this picture that you are this super attentive mom.
You're on top of everything.
And Shane is the outlier.
Like, you're making him seem like he's disconnected.
We watched, bro.
He's not.
He's a great dad.
He's involved.
he does everything you couldn't even drive them to school for more than a week so to then disparage him
by saying i can't get any emotional support from my husband is crazy talk and then to paint him
like he's just like again emotionless dad that's able to work through these because he doesn't care
is what you're trying to say to us that's what it sounds like and that's not what we watched
for 45 minutes in wife swap so the fact that that came out the same week as this
does not bode well for you because your story, once again, this seems to happen with Emily
a lot.
Your story is not matching our reality.
And it's now getting to a point where it is so insufferable that I can't see them.
I don't know how you bring Emily back and make this a successful show.
I don't need.
I'm not even like, I know we do that at the end of reunions.
Like, what's going to change?
What's going to say the same?
I'm going to abstain from that.
I'm not even, that's not even a prediction.
That's just a statement.
Like, I don't know what you do if she's back.
I'm with you.
There's no reason for us to even get into the who should come back, who should go.
We've been doing it all season.
I'm not, I know.
And like, you know, you got fucking, it's all just like, let's rehash shit that
that's probably not true and we can't corroborate.
Yeah.
Such as Tamara talking about Sydney.
Once again, your daughter has, has requested to stay off of the show.
I was weirdly okay with that just because it was like I did actually see her and it's see I think I think it seemed genuine.
I think that actually happened.
You think that happened?
I think that I think that like that exchange actually happened pretty close to how she explained it.
I just want to say if she then shows up next season because I don't think she's going to talk about her for the rest of the reunion.
But if she shows up next season and Sidney's not involved and she starts talking about her again, then that's a whole other problem.
but if this is what it is
and you finally got to that point,
I'm not going to root against her
for not having a relationship
with her daughter,
you know what I mean?
I never root against her.
No, no, no.
I wasn't saying you.
I'm just saying out loud
that like I don't want people
to get the wrong idea
because we have said a lot of things
like don't talk about your daughter.
She doesn't want to be involved.
I'm not rooting against her.
I want her to have a relationship
with her daughter.
And if this is the start of that,
then good for her.
And if you can get to a better place
and you explain it in a way
that makes sense to the viewers,
hey, I've got a relationship with Sydney.
It's going really well.
and you leave it at that, fine.
Don't talk about her otherwise because she doesn't want to be involved.
And if that changes, then tell us that that changes.
I'm okay with that.
I don't really care.
All right, I'll abstain from judgment until next season then.
But I'm just, I'm flipping through to see if there's anything of note that we need to talk about.
Because, you know, it's mainly after we get through the Katie and Emily stuff, like you said,
it's Tamara and Gretchen and it's more of the bringing up old dirt.
Tamara does that and then Tamara's like, well, you do that.
It's a lot of back and forth finger pointing.
I mean, there's nothing.
I will say this.
Talking about Dawson last week with the fainting at the Marine graduation.
Yeah.
Somebody reached out from the Marines.
Oh, cool.
Yeah.
So an actual Marine.
A Marine listeners.
Look at us.
Yeah, we had an actual Marine reach.
I had a couple people reach out, but one of them was an actual Marine and said they
mentioned the crucible so for like 72 hours you're like the fucking gauntlet yeah and then
they tell the cadets standing at graduation to not lock your knees because you stand in
march for so long because that's all it is you stand march stand march stand march and then
you finally walk and graduate i guess this is really common to the point that they say don't lock
your knees out or you will pass out during this so right i thought that was important to note
because we were talking about that compared to the tattoo thing.
Not the same thing.
This apparently is a common occurrence at the graduation ceremony.
We did go on to say, like, if he got all the way through all of the training that he had to do to be a Marine and didn't pass out and they didn't see any issues with it, that it's probably fine.
It was just a weird coincidence.
Yes.
So I just, I thought it was a good thing to note like that is apparently a common occurrence.
And don't lock your knees of graduation, apparently.
there's a good good thing to know we're on stage at a marriage like if you're up there with the bride or groom and you're in the bridal party or something don't lock your knees there either locking your knees can lead to passing out i don't think i've ever not been drunk while being in a bridal party so i have i have yeah in flannery's i was i was sober for that one it was interesting yeah you get to remember a lot more be a lot more sweaty
You think you're more sweaty, sober?
I think I would be more aware of the sweat.
You'd be more aware of the sweat, but I would imagine you're sweating a little more of your boozy.
Yeah, I mean, probably, but, you know, I'm just having the time of my life.
Oh, yeah, weddings.
I'm at the point now, though, I'm getting over it, you know?
Yeah.
Like, weddings aren't as exciting as they used to be.
Now it's more of a chore.
Yeah.
I wonder when that happens.
Probably when you have kids.
Yeah, probably, actually.
I think that's probably what it is.
Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense.
Where I'm sleeping tonight.
Yeah, I'm considering what time I can get home and wake it up in the morning.
Did I bring the gift or did I leave it at home?
Did I leave it in the diaper bag?
Yeah.
But yeah, we got two more of these.
The only thing that we need to discuss in these next two episodes,
the only thing of note and worth our time is Gretchen answering for the horrible post that
she liked on Instagram.
Other than that, there's,
there's nothing else.
And if there's not a bigger indicator of we've got nothing to talk about,
then Alexis Bellino being mentioned as many times as she was.
That her text was mentioned,
that Andy read a text from her and mentioned it in this reunion
is a massive cause for concern for these next two episodes.
Yeah.
We don't have anything.
We got nothing to talk about.
We got nothing.
So maybe somebody in the questions will,
uh,
shed some light on something that we can talk about.
first one up here from
Valahandra Deeks
can Emily shut up
God that's so simple
so simple and so well said
the best part is
and I only saw the clip
so that's fucking incredible
that's really good
just saw the clip
and can Emily shut up
she should
different perspective from Zoe
Cudelopole I'm good on Katie
she has zero storyline
zero credibility and zero friends
Tamara doesn't count
I understand that sentiment
but at the same time they didn't allow her to have any storyline they didn't allow her to make good with anybody to get friends so it's not a hundred percent her fault it is a good chunk her fault for doing these things out me open but again she was up against the cards were stacked against her there was not a lot that she could do so you can't really blame her fully for having zero the story she has earned another season because of how she was treated and again the blogger things are
a no, no, for sure, but she never even got the opportunity to rebound from that.
That's been going on since last year in the paparazzi thing.
Ever since then, she has been playing defense relentlessly for something that everyone else
has done.
So I don't think it's fair to alienate her and say that she shouldn't come back or that
you're done with her.
She hasn't had a chance in two years.
Yeah.
Uh, from Megan, uh, Hala 18, Tamara was the clear winner of this.
Yes, question mark.
No, but we, yeah, but like, Tamara's going to win.
It's literally like Alabama playing fucking northern Alabama.
Appalachian state, well, hey, Appalachian State's got a good football team.
I know they do.
I just, but it's Alabama playing like the Cupcake schedule in like week 11 when it's like
Georgia and Texas are playing.
It's always going to come out on top.
Tamer's always going to end up.
this, but it's not really a fair fight because these people fucking suck.
Yep.
From Jamie and Gov, if you had to keep Emily or Gina to continue next season, why is it
Gina?
Because Emily is the worst housewife there is.
Emily's insufferable now.
Like, it's reached a point where I just, I can't watch her.
Gina is irritating, but it's Gina.
Like, she's not going to rattle my cage that much.
Emily and the entitlement that comes with her commentary and actions has reached just an
unwatchable point for me.
I agree.
Good point from Lindsay Bucks.
People know that being on a board isn't a paid job, right?
It is not.
If you're on a board, you are not getting paid.
I don't even give a fuck why Slate is on the Liberace board.
It just doesn't, does not matter to me.
You get on boards for donating more than other people.
Yeah, if this was a better season and we actually had things to talk about and then randomly Gretchen just blurted out, but he's on the Liberace board, I think that would have been undeniably funny.
But I didn't, I don't even think I broke, like, eye contact with the TV at that point.
Hmm.
Uh, this is great from Iowa malicious.
Set yourselves free from the OC.
I fucking wish we could.
Two more.
Two more than we can.
Uh, from a bad haley.
Why is Emily so.
overbearing right now she's trying to be heather but it's giving desperate that's probably not a
bad point i think she is trying to be heather and she just can't like i don't think any of
these people can be heather heather's fine but yeah i don't know what the fuck emily's doing
and last one here from april champs when did you most want to throw your tv out of the window
thank you for your service uh you're welcome unfortunately the second that emily said luke in the first
30 seconds of the episode. I think that's
fair. I really
didn't. Like I said
before, I think I disassociated, which
might be best for me. Although I
was really angry when we started
this. Yeah. So I think subconsciously, my brain did
download. It did, my
brain is a weird thing. I'd rather just
brains are weird. Brains are very
weird. But like, I
remember watching, but I don't remember
watching. And I think subconsciously, I
downloaded some of the information and then got
really mad about it yeah but i feel better now i'm a little tired too i always feel better after
we get done uh decompressing about it all it's just you know from a analytical standpoint you know
from what we do taking the emotion out of it just like i don't know you you got nothing here
this is a nothing show and i think that it is this season has highlighted that more than any
season of a bad housewife's franchise this one has taken the cake and thrown it at us and been
like look now look how shitty this is yeah that's actually impressive in in some capacity
it's yeah oh well two more dos mas dos moss i don't know if i can do it but i guess we we have to
because we love you guys
get really drunk in Chicago
and then go to the
game back from Green Bay huh
yeah yeah well that might not be up to me
the way flights are working yeah no shit
try to get back from Green Bay
take a microphone with you in case we got to do
virtual I was actually thinking the funny thing is I was actually
thinking about that in case I have to
yeah that wouldn't be a bad idea
yeah if you have room in the old suitcase just throw it in there
hopefully you don't have to use it but I mean worst case
you go to Corrie's and borrow his shit.
Yeah, that's a good point, too.
All right, let's wrap this bad boy up.
All right.
Well, to all of our listeners that are still watching this show with us,
your real ones.
To the other ones making us watch this, I hate you.
I love you.
I love you, but I don't like you right now.
That's fair.
Two episodes will be cool again.
A couple of weeks, yeah.
Yeah, then we're all cool again.
But until then, that's all I got.
You got anything else?
Nope.
That's our show.
Bro's got to go.
There are vampires out there.
They walk among you, shoulder to shoulder in the dark.
Heading to work, heading home, going to the bar.
It's a life just like anyone else's.
And I have grown used to it.
To the darkness, to the moon, to the taste of blood on my tongue.
But vampires are dying out.
We are a fading kind.
And I am the first one created in so long.
And that is a dangerous thing to be.
Those who came before me elders of all stripes
They do not want to see our kind gone
And they will do anything to keep their power
And for myself and for grace who created me
That is a sword that hangs above our heads
And the worst person of all carries our secret
And he will use it however he sees fit
Who do you look to when things are at their darkest?
