Well, even though she wasn't the focal point of this episode, just want to remind everybody that Emmy's racist.
But very glad that she was not at the center of this episode.
So we'd have a fucking breather.
Yeah.
It's almost night and day from what we saw of her at the dinner at the night prior versus the morning after.
I know she doesn't drink, but I don't know why she'd be so irritable in the morning.
It's just very weird to me.
It's strange, isn't it?
Mm-hmm.
As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos.
Oh, man, it's 8 o'clock.
And so that'll make it a...
I don't need the spotlight.
I shine just fine.
Hi, I'm karma.
And yes, I am a bitch.
Brov Bros.
Good afternoon, everybody.
Welcome back to another episode of Brav Bros.
Your favorite podcast from The Bros.
For everybody, for whoever wants to listen, I'm a co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always.
by the one and only
Maguntukata.
What's up, dude?
That's a good one.
That is, wow, that's top notch.
It's been a long time since you've had a good one.
That's not a knock.
That's just, you know, you know how these things go.
Yeah.
Who doesn't love it all inclusive?
I mean, shots on me, as Molly said,
everything's free.
Just wander around.
Enjoy yourselves.
This is what we should be doing on this show.
This is such a breath of fresh air
after watching the Valley and just being extremely angry the whole time while watching,
you get to Soho and you're like, ah, yeah, the Minicana, nice, let's have a little fun.
Emmy, not doing too much this episode.
Good.
Don't piss me off.
Don't you dare.
This is where we went on our senior trip.
You didn't go, nerd.
It was me, Plenary.
Dev was on that trip.
Oh, man, that was a good time.
And yeah, it was an all-inclusive resort.
It was not the one that they're at.
I was actually curious because that would have been really funny.
But we are down to have a good time.
Finally, I needed a breather.
We just did the Valley, which was just fucking infuriating.
So I'm glad that this was not.
And I watched Soho second with that in mind, like, oh, the Valley might piss me off.
So I'll save Soho for afterwards because that's probably going to be good.
It might piss me off if Emmy's doing too much, but she's not.
The only thing we had...
Oh, go ahead.
I was having...
I had such a fantastic morning.
I, uh, this is actually incredible.
I turned my alarm off somehow,
woke up around the time that I would typically leave for work,
jumped in the shower, got out,
had the best text message,
like an absolute, like a sext.
It was unreal from my boss, nonetheless.
Saying, hey, the internet's out.
Why don't you work from home?
Sure.
Absolutely.
Let me turn on the valley and just get this shit over with.
I heard that it was a better episode, didn't really know what I was expecting.
I was so angry.
I ended up making coffee towards the end of it to try to lift my spirits, turn on Soho,
immediately happy, just having a great time.
I love these people so much more.
Yep, they're great.
And it's continuing to be a great season.
Let's just jump right into this one and got to pick up where we left off.
So that may be nervous out of the gate.
I'm like, fuck, we're going to start out with this stuff.
It's going to get worse and worse.
It doesn't.
But we do get to watch Emmy just be cool.
completely delusional again.
Her takeaway from this conversation.
It's nice that I was finally heard, you know, progress is progress.
And, uh, you know, I'm glad that we're able to at least hear each other out.
Meanwhile, Michael's was like, she didn't hear me at all.
Like nothing I said landed.
She talked over me, walked all over me.
That was a horrible conversation.
I'm tired of this bitter hag in Spanish.
Yeah.
I love that.
Um, I, look, we talked about this last week.
like this is the progression of Michael's being mad at you depending on your level of
friendship with him he's going to try to hear you out and get his voice across he walked away
from that conversation so upset that he let emmy walk all over him he just couldn't get a word
in edgewise like he just had nothing to do with that conversation wanted nothing to do with
it and we talked about it last week sitting down at that table emmy just blah blah blah bra bra bra
just a fucking mile a minute like shut up shut up you're not in good graces with like anybody at
table. Joe and Maddie, I am now convinced they're afraid that like if they lose, if you lose
them, that they're just going to lose you entirely. Like, you're just going to go off somewhere
with Will and just never be seen again. So I think that's where their friendship is right now,
but they're not speaking up at defense of you. Maddie's going with Michaels because she knows
just like everybody else at the table knows that something is a foot. Something is wrong.
That conversation went wrong. But if you listen to you, ah, I got this huge weight lifted off
of me. I'm so much happier. I'm such a good place right now. Let me talk to
everybody. Let me have a conversation at one time with everybody. Again, I just watching that makes
me uncomfortable. I'm like, this is not just normal euphoria. I don't know what you're doing,
but please stop doing it because it is making things so much worse. And when we get to the end of it,
it's like, okay, now Michaels is going to shun her. That's where we are. Don't even fucking talk to me.
I don't want to have anything to do with you. Emmy thinks everything's cool. Michaels is much,
much in the other direction and completely ends of the spectrum.
Which is good, though, that he's at a place where, because, you know, they go to the bar
after dinner and his takeaway is, I'm not going to let this fuck up the whole trip.
So it's out of sight, out of mind kind of thing.
Like, I'm not dealing with this bullshit anymore.
Emmy, like you said, needs to stop doing whatever it is she's doing, quote unquote, because
it is.
It's alarming to watch and it's alarming to watch her fidget around at the table and, you know,
not connect with anybody.
like she's not even understanding what's going on.
We don't have to go down that road just noting that.
But we get to the morning,
please don't fart in each other's mouths.
Don't say that.
It makes it yucky.
Yeah.
But let's go to just go to Brecky.
There's a little breakfast.
And here's the other part.
Okay.
If you're the odd man out and everyone fucking hates you,
just shut up.
Like,
let's cheers to what?
I don't know.
Being in Punta Kana with your friends,
maybe like just cheers to a good day.
Cheers because you just have drinks in your hand.
I don't fucking know.
But just shut up,
you wet blanket.
Go back to your room.
Nobody wants it to the table anyway.
And that's what I just don't understand it.
I'm happy that people were picking up on this too.
I think Molly went to a professional right away like what the fuck?
Like you couldn't be happier last night.
And then like what got up your ass?
What pissed you off in the morning?
And it's literal night and day.
Nighttime Emmy.
Happy is a clam.
Ready to talk to anybody.
morning time,
any, whoa, I don't know
who the fuck this person is.
And like, that's what happens.
And, you know, honestly,
preference, I don't want to deal with either of them.
But I'd probably rather deal with the one who's talking a mile a minute the night before
versus the one in the morning who's trying to be a wet blanket.
We're on vacation.
We're in an all-inclusive resort.
We're having brunch.
Do you know how important that brunch is that first day?
Like, everybody's just going off the night before.
I wanted to see a little bit more footage of them hanging out and doing shit the night before.
But I guess we don't have.
get that. And instead, we go right to breakfast. This is great. We get to just decompress.
Everybody's ready for a good day, fun in the sun. It's beautiful outside. What are we cheering
to? Not your dumb ass, you miserable asshole. We're not cheersing to you. We're cheersing to you.
We're cheersing to being young and having fun, you dick. Yeah. We're choosing to everything but you.
We're cheering in spite of you, you fucking loser. Go home. But as we know, Maddie's gig is tomorrow.
we got some awkward clapping there.
And I like that Molly, Molly's playing the game.
And I appreciate that about Molly this season.
She's using some tricks to just kind of push things forward.
She's bringing things to the group.
She's bringing things to the table.
And that is a reality TV stuff you're supposed to do.
So I appreciate that she's doing the work.
And she brings up, hey, we all need to focus on individual relationships here.
And this trip's a good time to do that.
And I totally agree with her because we do have some outstanding.
altercations that need to end.
We need to move on from these
ones and they all have
to do with Lake
and Lake having a stick up her ass
for some reason when it comes to Mia
and Molly. So we call it out.
Molly brings up Lake. I've done nothing
to you. When Lake explains
what did happen, it makes her
stance even worse. Yeah.
You're telling me this stems back to that night at
Republic when she walked by you and didn't say
hi, you lose her. Yeah.
And I'm happy that we're having
this conversation in such a group setting.
Some conversations need to be done in a group setting, some one-on-one.
This is because Lake has made it her business to be pissed off at everybody.
A group discussion.
What's your fucking issue?
What's going on here?
Like, seriously, just lead it off with that.
What's your problem?
Like, what are you doing?
What's this all about?
I don't get it.
Well, you know, I just got weird energy.
I've been getting weird energy from you for a while now.
It started that night that you walked right past me.
And then you came over to me and you just like kind of were very,
dismissive. It was a very dismissive situation. I'm sorry. I didn't say hi to you and you got upset
at me and wouldn't let me into Republic because I don't work there. Like, what's the problem here?
I don't really understand this. Can you go deeper? No. Okay. Did you have a threesome with Oshin?
Yeah. Let's get right into that. I love this. And this is such, this is like perfect Joe Bradley. I love Joe so
much. Well, yeah, you did. Like what are we talking about here? Well, I heard through the, and I miss. And I miss.
heard this first time, so I had to go back and read it.
When Lake was talking about how she heard what was going on,
I guess that's second tier issue with Molly.
I heard that you were asking Michaels about me having a threesome with Oshin and the
girl that I brought to Emo Knight, that's just wrong.
If you have an issue, you should come to me and talk about it.
What?
I was so confused when she said that.
I was very confused by all of this.
Did you have a threesome with O'Sheed?
No, absolutely not.
I would never hook up with O'Sheen.
Well, did you fuck him after prom?
No, absolutely.
Yes, you did.
That's when Joe chimes in.
Joe chiming it.
And after like, I guess it goes back.
This was all very convoluted.
The best I can piece it together is Joe heard from O'Shea, the night after emo night and talk to him about hooking up with Lake.
And then Joe told a couple other people, but Michaels had already heard it too.
So everybody was already talking about it.
Why are we singling out Molly?
Like, this has nothing to do with Molly.
And when she says, yeah, I heard.
heard from Jordan. I was like, oh my God, did Jordan start this rumor? Because that would be really
funny if she did that after you stood up for her for no reason. No, I think that her and Jordan are
actually close, which we haven't seen before, but who cares? So I guess she heard from Jordan that
Molly had called Michaels to talk about this whole thing and it got back to Jordan and Jordan told
Lake and now Lake's pissed at Molly. That's the best I can come up with it. But again,
did you hook up with them after prom night? No, no, I didn't. Yes, you did. Yes, you did.
he said it was a two-day love story or whatever Joe spills all of the beans it's Joe's
favorite two-day love story like right are you going to be dismissive of that that's his
favorite love story but I think what ended up happening between her having to explain herself
because she's a very intelligent person so when she's sitting there explaining herself
and I think she's hearing herself talk about what these issues are then the Oshin thing comes up
I think getting caught in that lie, one, two, verbalizing what her issues actually are,
I think she had a moment of, fuck, I look stupid.
This is stupid.
This is stupid.
I just blush this.
Yeah.
And look, I am so grateful because this is exactly how it should go.
Because, like, again, Lake has been acting like a pet children child.
She's been really fucking annoying this season.
She's not like a bad person.
There's no reason to really dislike her.
just been holding on to weird shit that has nothing to do with her.
So if we can clear this up, please clear it up.
And they do.
And I'm happy because everybody's laughing.
Everybody's having a good, except for Emmy at the other end of the table.
Everybody's having a great time.
Like, we're good.
I love you.
We're fine.
There's no issues.
We can all laugh about the O'Sheen thing.
You're not going to take it to heart.
Cool.
Great.
We'll bring it up later and you won't have an issue with it.
Great.
Awesome.
Let's move forward because that is, again, we talk about this for the show, but also for a group of friends.
You don't want somebody like Lake just being upset and miserable.
Like, we watch that happen.
when they went down to Folly Island.
And she was miserable the whole time
because Michaels wasn't talking to her.
And it was putting a damper on things.
Everybody else was trying to have a good time.
But I don't want to watch people trying to have a good time.
I want to watch people having a good time.
So just get this over with it.
I was so happy that this was done.
And it seems like it's fully laid to bed.
We're good.
Yeah.
And it needed to happen.
It was time for that to happen.
We already have to deal with Emmy every episode,
whatever the fuck it is she's doing.
I can't have two people just moping and bumming around.
That's just it sets a bad.
And so, yeah, slates wipe clean.
We're starting from scratch.
Great, great brunch, everybody.
High five.
Let's go our separate ways.
You get Brad and Joe sit down.
They're talking.
And it's more of, you know, Joey's future.
Seems to be the topic of conversation a lot.
Now, maybe he should write things down and try to organize his thoughts in, like, what the next steps should be.
Because, again, we're talking investors.
or getting married.
Okay.
Investors for what, Joe?
Founder and CEO of what?
Joe.
That's kind of where we're heading right now.
And look, I mean, he did have some time with Danielle.
So maybe he picked up a thing or two from her.
CEO, yeah, she is a CEO of what exactly?
We're not really sure.
I believe it's an app regarding clothes in your closet and piecing outfits together,
which, you know, that's what Etsy is.
or Etsy, that's what Pinterest is for, actually.
But either way, uh, this was a funny conversation.
I loved this because Brad, the way he's talking and they're talking about Julia first
before they even really get into the Joe stuff when TJ comes over.
And they're talking about Julia.
Like, oh, yeah, I'm really, really upset that she's not coming.
Well, you know, she's got school.
Like I'm really happy that she's going to school and figuring things out.
Like she's, she's looking forward to her career, having her own thing, moving forward.
And that, you know, that's really great.
And that's what I love in everybody.
And Joe's like, wow, that is really fucking great, isn't it?
Like, Joe, he's talking about you, man.
Like, you see the segue coming from a mile away.
He is talking about you and TJ's coming over.
He knows what's going on.
We're going to talk about you having your own thing.
And I want Joe to have his own thing.
I just want him to know what we all it is.
Yeah.
There's no problem there.
But everybody's in that kind of that sense.
And that, again, shows me why I love this show so much because they're,
they're actual friends.
Like, this is a normal friend's conversation.
And we've seen Joe talk about how he looks up to Brad.
though Brad's younger because Brad has his own thing.
TJ has his own thing with Sir Wieners,
which I should have worn my Sir Wiener's shirt.
It just came in this week.
But I didn't really have the vision to do that.
But either way, talking about it and having Joe talk about it this whole season where
T.J. and Brad and Brad and T.J.
are talking directly to Joe about it seemingly unprovoked.
It tells me that they all know what's going on in each other's lives.
And that's what I want.
That makes such good TV, but also it shows how close they are, which is it makes you
draw into it.
Yeah, exactly.
This is a real conversation amongst friends.
And this is what we want.
This is why that show is so good.
And that's what we talk about it all the time.
But it's just funny.
The way that he frames things, dude, I'm like,
every conversation, like, pick a thing then.
Just pick a thing.
And then go for that.
I don't know.
But anyway, we get to dinner in the sky,
which I have no issues with this.
Like heights don't scare me or anything.
I just think it'd be kind of annoying to be eating,
like propped up 150 feet.
the air if I had to pee or something.
I hate this.
I really do.
I'm usually all for the gimmicky stuff.
I don't like this.
This is not something I ever really want to do.
Not because I'm afraid of heights.
I don't care about that.
I think it would be cool to go up there for a little bit.
Like have a drink up there maybe.
A drink,
yeah.
A full dinner seems ridiculous.
And Joe's saying,
I usually drop my utensils like 10 times in my napkin in my lap, which I, you know,
that seems like something else that we should be talking to you about.
But I get it.
Like if you drop something, like you have butterfingers for a second or you're trying to lean over and get your food, you drop a little food.
Where's it going to the grounds?
The seagulls, I guess, are getting a little dib of that.
I don't like it.
Not a fan.
I don't want to do it.
So don't ever make me do it.
The one good thing is it forces conversations because people are stuck next to each other quite literally.
So they can't go anywhere.
Now, that being said, I was not expecting this conversation at all.
because Molly
and again
like here's what I appreciate about Molly
like she's doing her
fucking job like these are random
weird conversations and chymins
but like you are showing up to work
and like that's what we need from a good cast
because Emmy leads it off with like I miss you in those leather pants
and Molly is like
what?
Like you don't talk to me.
You don't like me and she brings it up to her.
She's like yeah there's a weird vibe.
And of course, Emmy's like, I have no idea why.
Where could that come from?
We all know that you just shit on Molly.
Like, this is no secret.
And we know exactly why.
I remember your piece of shit,
fiance flirting with her.
I remember talking to you about it and being like,
he's literally doing it in front of her face.
Well, is that the one she had a meltdown inside?
Yeah.
And he was outside floating with Molly.
Yeah.
He was outside floating with Molly.
Molly. The rumor at the time was that he's still on dating apps and he's talking to other girls.
This was even before the whole thing about somebody living with him while he was at school.
And Molly wasn't like a big part of the show, but she was kind of instrumental in all of that, like figuring things out, knowing that he was on, whether it was Tinder or Hinge or whatever.
And I remember, I don't remember her friend's name. I think it was Chavon that they were talking to that she was living with.
Sounds right. They were instrumental in bringing a lot of that up, talking about a lot of those.
things to Brad to TJ so that then it kind of went to the next level. But they've never been
friends, like ever. Literally, they have not been friends. And we get confirmation of that because
Michaels was trying to make them friends. Like, all right, I don't know. She's got an issue with you,
probably because of Will that's kind of what's going around. Anytime that somebody else is
talking to Will, she's got an issue with them. Let's just try to squash this. Why don't the three of us
all hang out and grab some dinner? I've never gotten that text message before. No one has ever
asked me to have dinner with you. I would have done it in a heartbeat. I wanted to be friends with you.
Now you're putting it on Michaels, who's, by the way,
sitting right next to Molly and eavesdropping the whole time.
Not interjecting, not interjecting, which I appreciate it,
because although I don't know,
the visuals of them arguing and Michael's getting involved at this point
would be fucking hilarious,
148 feet in the air.
But he's not getting involved.
They're just, let the whole conversation play out.
Let's hear how crazy Emmy is.
Let's hear how delusional she is while setting the stage for all of this.
And it doesn't make any fucking sense.
I want it to be friends.
I really want to be friends with me.
We should be friends.
Emmy, like eight hours ago in the morning, you were miserable.
Now, once again, you're trying to build a bridge with somebody that you've never had a relationship before,
but you're acting like you guys used to be friends.
I don't understand what's going on here.
And thankfully, Molly's got fucking level-headed.
What is going on?
Like, you've never tried to be my friend before.
You hate me.
You've set a ton of mean shit to be in your confessionals.
And now you're saying you don't understand why you guys are so far apart.
It doesn't make any sense.
it all comes back to the same thing and it's not even the fact that she was talking to will and will
was flirting it has to do with the fact that they outed something that your shitty fiancee was
doing yep and every time this happens you shoot the messenger and you let will get away scot
free like the evidence is overwhelming so you shunned molly because she called it out and that pissed
you off because you had to acknowledge once again that you're getting married to a guy that's
perpetually cheating on you and you're okay with that because you want the lifestyle.
So you're turning a blind eye and doing some other things, it seems that doesn't seem
like it's very good for your health overall.
I don't know, allegedly.
But anyhow, they get to a point, I guess, where it's like, hey, you know what?
We'll move forward.
Molly is like, yeah, I get like what I think Molly's, I'm going to move forward with my life.
Yeah, like whatever.
Exactly.
And, you know, I love that Emmy goes with.
But she never liked me.
She never liked me.
Okay, stop.
I don't, I don't know why anybody likes you, but, you know, if you want to hold on to that,
fine.
I don't think that this is going to lead to maybe this would actually be really funny.
As if Emmy texts Michaels and says, hey, maybe with the three of us could get down and
have some dinner.
And Molly says, no, that would be funny.
It would be funnier because Emmy would try to have dinner with Michaels who doesn't like her
anymore.
Yeah.
And she's like,
we talked,
we're good.
Let's all go to dinner.
And Michael's just probably would not respond, but.
Yeah.
Vamos out of the discotheca,
poppy.
This looks fucking awesome.
God,
that place looked sick,
didn't it?
Yeah.
Brought me back to like baseball times,
dude.
And like,
Kiroke.
Like,
that's what all the Latin guys of my team would say.
Oh,
quill okay,
popi.
Like,
uh,
Tranquilo,
no.
Anyway,
it looked like a fucking blast.
I was super duper.
jealous and we get more of what we've gotten used to when the crew goes out one super uncomfortable
confessionals from emmy and two tj and michael smooching but there's a wrinkle yeah as mid kiss
michael pulls back and goes don't kiss me like you hate me like next time don't kiss me like
you don't hate me is what he says and tj kind of laughs it off and he's like i don't hate you at all
and then he goes silent.
Yeah.
That was interesting because he responds and then he goes,
shoot, stone faced, no response.
And Michael's like, what just happened?
What's going on right now?
Yeah, and this is very real.
I mean, this is something that we've been expecting.
We've been waiting for.
We're waiting for this conversation.
There's no boundaries.
It's undefined.
And we didn't get to see a whole lot from New York.
We wanted to see a whole lot from New York when the two of them were up there because
we heard that they were making out.
And that was more of the same.
I think we would understand more about where they are.
right now if we had seen that trip.
Yeah, and I'm okay with it because, you know,
context clues, we can kind of piece it together.
But we knew that this was going to come and we figured it was going to come from
T.J's ends because, you know, he has told us before.
I have been in Charleston for a long time.
It's really tough.
There's a lot of, you know, straight guys that don't really want to be straight and they
reach out to me.
And it's just, it's really difficult for me.
I want to get into a good, healthy relationship.
Michael's, on the other hand, recently came out, having the time of his life.
he's posing for magazines he's enjoying his life he's doing all of these things but there's something
between the two of them that neither is really ready to address at least up until this point
tj's going to take that first leap like i don't really want to do this this whole friends with benefits
thing and i like that and the pool conversation later is even better but i like that he's doing it
from like uh i don't want to hurt you and i don't know what you expect from me but michael starts
to panic a little bit and you can kind of see that that a little bit of panic like
Like, maybe I do like him.
I mean, there is a lot of emotions here.
You know, I have been in a relationship before where I was thinking about you.
Why would you say that?
There's a lot of complex emotions coming into that.
And you're going to make TJ feel really weird and bad because now he feels like the bad guy.
And that's not fun.
And it's all just because TJ had an adverse reaction to you guys kissing, which you've done before and you've done it all summer.
But now it's a problem and you have to drop that bomb on him.
That's top.
I think he wasn't doing it as a bomb.
I don't think.
I think he was trying to be endearing like, hey, this is what I think about you.
Like I think about you a lot kind of deal.
And I think what you're seeing, they definitely have feelings for each other, obviously, right?
I do think that TJ would be interested in something with Michaels, but he understands where Michael's at in his life, like you said.
And I think that it's not even so much that TJ's afraid to get hurt out of the whole thing.
that's definitely part of it.
I think a big thing is, you know, he's had his journey,
and it's time for Michaels to have his journey.
And I think he recognizes that that's where Michaels is that.
He's like, look, you need to go live your life.
And that's okay.
I love you.
But that he's literally saying, like the next guy that he dates,
he wants to be the guy he's with forever.
So they're on very different timelines.
But that being said, I don't think Michaels was expecting to catch these types of feelings.
I think he's kind of surprised how he feels about TJ,
which is why it comes out when he's drunk and he says a little bit too much.
You know,
he drops the L word here and there.
I think he is really into TJ.
But I think just unfortunately,
just very different times in their lives.
So I don't know if it's going to work.
Yeah, timing's not great.
And I don't mean the bomb was like a manipulation or anything like that,
of course.
Like this is honestly a very healthy conversation.
the way that it turns it like when we talk about it in the pool too like i think it's healthy for both of them
you know maybe at the time it doesn't feel like it especially for michael's but i'm happy that tj
spoke up because i don't want to see this end poorly i don't want to see this put them on weird terms
with each other because they are very good friends and the two of them have so much fun and it
translates to the screen so well too and again i that's such an important characteristic of good shows
like this but i think it needed to be done and i'm happy that tj took that leap like you know what
I don't know if I can keep doing this for various reasons.
Yeah.
So they're going to hook up tonight, by the way.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
They're going to hook up tonight.
And they're probably going to be rooming together in a future trip.
But it needed to be said.
These are the conversations that are very important with relationships like this.
Yeah, I mean, it draws a boundary.
You know, it doesn't mean that they're not going to step over that boundary here and there and like still.
Yeah.
But it's been said.
Right.
It's out there now.
So they know where they stand.
So anyway, we get to a quick scene with Brad.
Mia and Justin and Molly and Michaels.
Did you think his acting was good?
I thought it was really good.
I didn't.
Oh, you didn't?
Well, I didn't think.
I didn't, obviously, I thought he was just fucking with them.
Like, I thought it was just like a, it was a goof.
I didn't expect Julia to come running through the door.
I thought it was just, I thought he was just dicking around.
Like, oh, I don't really, I don't know.
I'm just kind of going through it right now.
Like, this is really tough for me.
Yeah.
And I honestly thought that it was to make everybody think like,
something happened either with Emmy because Emmy wasn't in the room or something else came about,
whatever it may have been.
And it was just a goof.
I never once thought it was real.
But I thought that he had everybody else convinced.
And I think the way that things have been going this season, especially with Brad and Emmy,
that something else popped off.
And everyone's like, oh, fuck.
What did she do now?
What did we miss last night?
So it is funny just to watch because you know, everybody's kind of on edge.
And they're all on edge for the same reason for the same person.
We squashed the thing with Lake.
So there's no issues with Lake anymore.
It's got to be Emmy, right?
Me and Julia broke up.
No.
What do you mean, you guys?
When did that happen?
Once he said me and Julia broke up,
I'm like, oh, that's not the route to go.
I don't think anybody's going to believe it.
Everybody believed it.
Every single person was like,
holy shit, I never saw this coming.
What the,
I would have loved.
I would have absolutely loved it and I would have felt really bad.
If somebody immediately flipped that switch,
like, I never fucking liked her in the first place.
You know what?
She's standing in the other room.
Like, what the hell, guys?
No, she's too cool for anyone to say that.

She's a real one. I really like her. We get to Joe and Maddie having a little spa day.
I think this seems important for the people that we get, you know, questions from that say,
you know, Joe's holding Maddie back or questioning parts of their relations.
because these are the things that we don't get to see as often.
And I think that this is kind of how they work so well together because they're sitting
at the end of everything.
One,
you are officially 30,
Joe,
you have back problems.
Welcome to the club,
dude.
But she's talking about her nerves and,
you know,
that she had to take the year off.
And that's a side of this relationship we didn't see.
And I think that's a very important part of this relationship in which Joe is her support
system.
safe space. And that year that she took off, I think he stepped into a big role in her life. I think that
we need to acknowledge that part. But the other thing is we now get to an adult conversation,
a serious conversation about what the future is going to look like. And a big part of it's
securing the future, right? Maddie wants to secure her future. She wants this DJing thing to go the
right way. She wants this world tour, all of these goals, dreams, and aspirations that gives them a future.
Joe, I want to secure it not only for me, and he's able to bring up our family.
Now, it forces an issue that we have kind of skated around when we start to talk about serious
things with these two.
I was actually very impressed at the conversation that was then had because Maddie acknowledges
like, I do want to have kids, but by the way, I've got celiac.
I've got Gerd, I've got alcohol, like all these things that make it more difficult to.
We get all the way to the point where she's like, I'm going to freeze my eggs.
want to have kids.
And I think hearing that from her is probably very comforting for Joe, just to know that
somewhere down the road, because I think with Joey, as long as he knows the future's there,
I don't think he's going to press.
I think he's going to make jokes.
I think he's going to talk about getting married with all of his friends all of the time.
But he just needs the reassurance that like we're going in the right direction.
And this as a relationship overall shows you guys, like, they do have these conversations.
conversations. They do talk about their future. They do know each other pretty well. And I thought this was a really good way to show those people that question things like this is what they can do.
Yeah. And I also get the sense that this is not the first time that they've discussed this. It's just the first time they've discussed it on camera. So that goes to show you even more like they are having these discussions. They are talking about their future. They're not just living in the moment while Joe just dreams of the future and Maddie dreams of a different future without Joe. That's what everybody out there is saying. Like yeah, she got blood work done. She's checking on these things.
They are actually really considering this moving forward, their lives together in the future.
Like, I could have cried happy tears.
I was so happy for the two of them because it was really nice.
And again, I think Joe handled it so well.
He could have easily gone down the path of the stupid fucking idiot dude who's like, well, you know, I'd still, I'm not really worried about that.
Like, I'd do that anyway.
And in the meantime, like, we've had so many confessionals of him talking about wanting kids and doing all these things.
It's like, ah, I don't do that.
That's not really what you want.
But no, he's right there with her.
and he just reassures her.
And that's what it is.
And that's what we've been hearing from him,
but not seeing.
We haven't seen any of that.
And it shows me that they are,
they are each other's person.
They are each other's,
like a significant other.
And they do want the future together that both of them want.
So that's for everybody out there that talks about how Joe's got this whole dream future
that Maddie's not actually buying into.
She is.
She absolutely is.
And they are a real couple.
So everybody can show kick rocks,
shut the fuck up,
go to hell.
Yeah.
You leave them the fuck alone.
Anyway, this is when we get the conversation with T.J. and Michaels by the pool.
And Michael's initiates it with the Don't Kiss Be Weird.
And T.J. jumps right in.
And I love that.
And he's like, look, you have a lot of weird feelings, a lot of feelings, period.
And I don't want to hurt you.
And Michael's has kind of taken aback.
And we get to learn more.
And this makes a lot of sense.
because after the big nights where, you know, he says, I love you or he says when I was with Preston, I thought about you all the time.
The following morning, we get the, oh, I don't remember.
We get it in this scene.
He's like, last night you said he thought about me with Preston.
He's like, I was kind of gray.
Did I say that?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Are you sure it was me?
It wasn't another guy.
No.
Kiss me.
It's just very funny moment, but it's also a very real moment.
Like we said, like this is a very important conversation for the show, because these two bring such a good energy on screen.
Their dynamic and chemistry together is awesome.
That's why we were bummed.
We didn't get to see the New York trip more.
They're fun to watch.
And I don't want that dynamic to get fucked up.
Yeah.
But they needed to have this conversation.
Like, this is where I stand.
I and that that's why it's like it's interesting because there's a part of us like at home watching where it's almost like you're watching a rom-com of two people that aren't supposed to be together like but I want you to be together so bad but you know what it's just not the time I love you but it's not the time yeah yeah rom-com is the best way to put this because again we love both of them we love both of them together and individually so having this conversation it was a good furthering I'm happy to tj did this really happy to tj did this because it could have just been a
one-off conversation like, uh, you know, we're both drinking. I'm having conflicting feelings
about this, like leave me alone for the night. And then they go right back in it for the rest of the
time. And, you know, trips like this, you're forced to be together no matter what. So I wouldn't
really fault them, but I'm very happy that TJ brought this back up while they're sober, while
we can talk about this whole thing. And it kind of puts things into a different perspective,
especially for Michael's like, uh, all right. Yeah, I guess TJ's kind of right. We don't want to
ruin the friendship, which is the overall theme of this whole thing.
There's a little bit more to it, I think.
Yeah, there is.
And look, I think that if Michaels was fully ready to commit, TJ's all in, in a heartbeat, he's all in.
But he needs Michaels to know, look, I'm not going to be the one to force you.
I'm not going to sit down with you and say, hey, we need to figure this out.
Are we together or are we not?
It's a full on ultimatum.
It's not.
It's, I'm having this conversation with you because I want you to know the next relationship I get in.
I'm going to try to get married.
I'm going to this is going to be the end game for me and that's what I want and I don't think you're
quite ready for that yet.
So it does plant that seat like hey, Michael's I'm telling you right now, I love you.
I want to be with you.
But if you're not ready, do not do that.
And I like that TJ puts it all on himself, which is the classification of a great guy.
Like I don't want to be the one to hurt you.
And I don't know why he said that because it doesn't really make a ton of sense because
he would be all bought in.
But at least he puts it out there and take some accountability like, hey, I want this.
you want that. Let's see how this goes. So I think it still leaves the door open, obviously,
for the drunken makeouts that we all love. It leaves the door open for them to continue their
friendship, of course. And that's kind of where it should be. It's the boundary conversation.
It's the friendship conversation. It's the do we want to do this or not, at least plant the seed
for now. That's that conversation that was desperately needed. And I don't think it got to
like that. We've seen this conversation a million times. It usually is too far gone to have the
conversation, but somebody has it just like, I don't know, out of requisite.
This was not that.
This was getting ahead of it.
This was, we're having a good time.
Let's see where it goes.
But let's always use this as the rubric.
Yeah.
But the one thing, just because the way it ends in confessionals, it's funny because they're
putting it on each other, which tells me that they both want it.
Right.
I do think that obviously, just given where they're at in their life, I don't know if it would
work out because I do think Michael needs.
needs to go out and do his thing.
And I think that, you know, being a gay man in Charleston and the journey that
TJ went on, he probably knows how important that time is for Michaels.
Like you're going to go find yourself kind of did it.
Yeah, formative years.
Right.
But when it ends with Michael's saying, because again, when TJ says to Michael's, but how do you
feel now when you're sober?
If Michael said, I love you, they're off to the races.
He didn't.
Yeah.
But then in confessionals, Michael's.
goes, you know, when it gets too serious, T. Joe always brings up the age thing as an issue.
I'm like, ah, wait, that's not what's happening. So they're both putting it on the other person.
And that tells me that they both want it. But I do, again, like, we're on the same page.
Like, this is an important boundary conversation. It's just two ships passing in the night.
And it's very sad. But at least they're still friends. And we'll definitely get some more makeouts.
But absolutely. We get Joe and Michaels and Maddie. And Michaels comes into their room. He's going to a
church that he used to go to with his grandmother.
It's very special to him.
And he wants TJ to go Lake, Joe, and Maddie.
And all of those people make sense.
They're the closest people that he's with.
One person should definitely not be there.
And that one person should know exactly why she's not there.
That's where I get so frustrated.
It's like when she has the delusion in her confessionals to be like,
ha ha, why the fuck?
Why the fuck am I not going there?
They would, blah.
Dude, the way, like, it says so many things to you.
Like, you are that delusional that you would think you would still be invited to that.
You had a whole conversation with Michael's.
The only thing he got out of his mouth was, I want this to be a good trip for me because I'm showing everybody.
And I really wanted to show you where I came from, like my heritage, all of the things that my family used to do.
This is incredibly important to me.
And he said, yeah, I get that.
But I don't really understand what's going on with Brad.
Like, why is Brad still doing this whole thing to me?
Like, he's trying to tear me down.
And like, you get it.
You get it.
Like, what the hell's going on here?
And then you've got T.J.
And you've got Molly involved.
And everybody's got their thoughts and feelings about me.
And I just don't get it.
And I need to get all of this out of my mouth right now.
You're missing the point.
You've missed the point.
The point is completely gone.
You don't even know where the point is.
And yet you come back to your confessional.
And you now know how important going to that church is for Michaels.
So you did hear him.
You just chose to ignore it because you think that your issues with the rest of the group are way more important.
And you need to get that off of your chest.
And that's all you need it.
You're incredibly selfish.
You're racist.
You're a piece of shit.
That's where it is.
Why the fuck would you go to church?
If you set foot in that church, you would be on fire.
You should try to stay away from that church, actually, until you atone for your sins.
I agree.
You don't need to be anywhere religious, period.
It doesn't matter what religion is.
you were going to, your pants are going to catch fire.
Like it's just,
although did you see that robot who got in the Buddhism?
It's pretty sick.
No.
Yeah.
Oh, no.
Well,
the robot is AI,
yes,
but it wasn't an AI art.
No,
I was asked,
oh,
interesting.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Buddhist.
Interesting.
Pretty sweet.
I would like to talk to that robot.
Pick his brain a little bit.
Pick his,
yeah.
We're on the same page with that.
I'm not really worried about those things.
Yeah.
I want to know more.
Yeah.
You know, depends.
I'm incredibly nice to all AI.
I'm incredibly nice to,
I can't say the names because I think both of them,
the women's names,
would hear me and start talking to me.
Yep, they'll pop up.
But you know who I'm talking about.
I'm incredibly nice.
I always thank them.
That's fine.
I just appreciate it.
I don't know.
We get closer and closer to that singularity.
And that's the,
you know,
Skynet Terminator zone.
When they become self-aware,
humans become obsolete.
Are they wrong?
No, probably not.
No, I mean, the whole premise is that because they're hyper-intelligent,
they recognize that every issue that we have on this planet is human-centric,
so we would want to get rid of the problem.
That's what all of those movies are about.
Not wrong, but yeah, not really, unfortunately.
But anyway, on the way to the church, we get some Oshin jokes, you know,
took a deep dive into the lake brother.
I hate him.
I don't like seeing him.
I don't like seeing the milk.
Like we met him in New York.
I wish I hadn't.
Like I just do not care for Oshin at all.
I know it's Joey's boy.
Yeah,
I don't hate him.
I just,
I just don't care for him.
I just,
yeah,
it's not hate.
Hate's not the right word,
I guess.
It's more just like he skeves me out.
He makes me feel gross when I see him.
Yeah,
he grosses me out too.
But I'm happy to see the lakes at least taking it with a great assault.
Like,
oh yeah.
Oh,
yeah,
no,
no,
I didn't eat his ass.
I'm on the phone with my mom.
that was actually great i love yeah like michael's tried to be on the phone and like i people are
reading too much we talked about like michael's and his mom and like how that's going and like what's
going to happen and i don't know maybe it's a tv thing maybe it's not but you know she did not agree
to face time him while he was at the church which is sad because this means a lots of michals and i feel
for him i don't know if there's more there or not i don't even know if it's for me to say but
that is a tale as old as time guy on the phone with his mom people are going to say some crazy shit in the
backgrounds. That's just what happens. You've been drinking all day and all inclusive. You're going to
church. Maybe that's not the best mix. But you're going to make some jokes while guys on the phone
with his mom. It's just, it's going to happen. It's okay. You're going to make an ass eating joke.
Like it's, like you said, it's as old as time. But we get to the church. And, you know,
meanwhile, back at the resort, Julia shows up to the beach. Emmy makes a sick one-liner about
Brad because he's so good at lying. Whatever. I know. But let's go to the
church for a very powerful and loaded scene.
I want to say it that way because Michael's goes back into the church.
He's having a very emotional response to this whole thing.
And we get to really dive into it.
And this is where I always appreciate how vulnerable Michael is and how much he shares
with us because his whole life for the longest time, like they went to church.
And then when he realized that he was gay, he would literally try to pray the
gay away. He would try to be somebody he wasn't. And this is some of the bullshit that's imposed on
people because of a book. And that's where I get frustrated because we're talking about all of these
things. And this is a human being that's dealing with all of this shit as a kid trying to put
this together to the point that he felt he wasn't allowed to go back in the church because he was
gay. That's fucking awful. And when you break it down, like for whatever reason, the guy, the
gay thing is such a big deal. I think it's in Leviticus or something, but in that same chapter,
if you eat shellfish, it's a cardinal sin. If you wear mixed fabric, if you trim your beard,
it's a fucking cardinal sin. But we don't think about those. We only think about the gay ones.
Not to mention, you're going to try to tell me that a book supposed to be from the Middle East
has translations from Paul, John, and Luke
make that make sense to me.
I don't need to get into this whole thing,
but this is when I start to take a stance
because like,
this is bullshit that we're imposing all of this stuff
when this book has been translated
so many times by so many people
that didn't even speak the language
of which they were translating it from
and they were allowed to write whatever the fuck they wanted.
And we're going to hold these guys to a standard
because they want to love somebody of the same sex to which brings me to my favorite point with all of this.
I will never, ever, ever understand why people care so much about what the fuck other people do with their lives.
Your life must be fucking miserable.
If you're going to impose these thoughts and feelings on people you don't fucking know.
Focus on yourself or your own shitty marriage.
Like, Michael's is such a good dude, right?
TJ's a great dude.
And we watched this scene, and I'm glad they showed it.
And like, I think that both of them do such a good job of advocating for the LGBTIQI community.
I think they do a great job of explaining things that audience members can resonate with.
It just breaks my heart, like sitting here watching this dude cry in a church because he felt that he wasn't allowed to go back simply because he likes men.
Yeah.
It's fucked.
I hate, like, this actually really pissed me off.
Yeah.
No, I absolutely didn't.
And seeing that heartbreak and seeing him kind of just go through all the emotions,
thankfully again, like T.J's, like the support group that he had, and I can't help but think about
the fact that Emmy was there, she'd make it about herself.
Oh, God.
She wasn't there, thankfully.
But the support group that he had, like, they all know exactly what he's going through.
They all understand, you know, even like going to Maddie and Joe and Lake, obviously, they know
what kind of person, Michaels is.
And the fact that he's breaking down and kind of freaking out right now, not freaking out,
but like he's crying and just kind of going through all of it is so.
it's incredibly powerful.
And I want to shout out the priest or deacon or whoever that was.
Yeah.
I was just happy to like help them through everything.
Like,
all right,
let's go over here.
And he's probably listening to everything Michael's is saying about his family.
He probably even remembers his family,
knows different sex of his family,
like whatever it might be.
That priest rocked.
I mean,
he was so excited to show them everything and take them through.
And I'm so happy that he had a good support group there.
And that's really the most important part.
Yeah.
And I know I'm going to piss some people off with that rant.
But like,
Just understand, I don't care what you believe.
You can believe whatever you'd like to believe.
But when you try to impose that shit on other people, that's when I have a big problem with it.
So all in all, I thought it was a very, a very cool scene, a very powerful scene.
I'm glad that Michaels was able to get that all out there.
I'm so stoked, like you said, that we had the support group we did.
Because, yes, had Emmy been there, it would have turned somehow into why won't Brad listen to me talk?
Yeah.
That's good questions.
I gotta start off with this one,
Weinstein. Page, fuck Emmy. Cool.
Yeah.
All about that.
From R.M. Lays.
What's with Alley Louver all of a sudden being in Charleston?
I guess, so I used the picture of them all like partying.
Yeah, she's in the middle of it.
She's in the middle of it.
But this, I think it's a recent picture.
So she was not on the trip from what I understand.
It looked like I just picked it quickly.
I think it was probably just a recent thing.
I don't know most of these people.
Nope, not at all.
I try to use nondescript pictures and people still focus on them.
But Ali moved to Charleston last year.
We knew that she did.
We thought she was going to be on the show more.
She's been on the show once.
So that's really all that you need to know about that.
From Josie T-Bear.
Nobody likes Emmy.
Why does she even want to be on the show?
It's awful to watch.
I agree.
We didn't think we had a big debate about whether or not she would come back
because everybody hated her and Will wasn't.
going to be on the show. She's just trudging along. So as long as Bravo allows her to be on the show,
she's going to be on the show, which is why we said Bravo needs to step in. Yeah, they need to do something
about it. It's detrimental to everything. But Janice Ingram 360, I love the bathtub scene with
Maddie and Joe. So did we. And I'm okay with point, but God damn has to, oh, no. So I've been saying
goddamn since I was like 10. I'm really sorry, but like that is entrenched in my vocab. I don't think I can
never get that out. Just try your best, Janice, to, uh, to, to, to not, like, we're not cursing
in the name. It's not with any stank on it. It just like kind of flows off the tongue. I think it's a
very northeast thing. Yeah, I was going to say, it's definitely a colloquialism for up here.
And there's nothing we can do about it. Yeah, I'm sorry. It's no ill will.
Sorry. Sorry. Yeah, we're sorry. We're really sorry.
Uh, then we'll end on this one from Liv Bender. D.R. Dinner in the air.
Who's sitting on your left and right?
You made the Brad's.
I need Joe Bradley and Bradley Carter.
I'm good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I actually,
I'd rather,
I think I'd rather be a cross from Joe because if he dropped something in his lap,
I don't.
He looks a little uncoordinated over there.
I'm going to go.
Definitely not sitting next to Emmy.
I thought about it for a half a second.
I'm like,
maybe Emmy.
It could be kind of fun to see what kind of shit she's going to talk.
No,
Um, yeah, no, I'd probably go Michaels and, uh, Brad and then Joe directly across me so I can look
them in the eyes the whole time.
That's fair.
Yeah.
That's it.
I mean, you can honestly, that's the great part about this show.
There's one, one chair you don't want to be in.
That's the one next to Emmy.
Anywhere else you're going to have.
Head of the table in the most like derogatory way.
Like you can go sit at the end, just so nobody has to be that close to you.
Yeah.
But that way there's nobody on either side of.
you.
You know what?
You stay on the ground and we're going to go up there and eat.
Yeah.
You know what?
Don't even double check her seatbelt.
Yeah.
She'll be fine.
It's fine.
All right.
She'll figure it out.
Boy, oh boy.
Well, we'll see where the season goes.
We're starting to clean up some of the, the early shit, which I like to see.
I, you know, I think that's another glaring issue with this Emmy stuff is like there's no movement on
her end.
We're going to keep rehashing from the root of everything.
and she's not going to understand it.
So that's where we have been talking about,
like, Bravo, just step in and do something.
Because by rehashing it to that point,
you're bringing up the damaging things
that could hurt Brad and his reputation and his character.
So anyway, all in all, it's a great fucking season.
That's all I got.
You got anything else?
Nope.
Yep.
Rob Bros are out of here.
Go Flyers.
Yep, go Flyers.

show, The Best Worst, we explore the Golden Age of Television. To do that, we're watching the
IMDB viewer rated best and worst episodes of classic TV shows. The episode of Star Trek, where Beverly
Crusher has sex with a ghost, the episode of the X-Files, where Scully gets attacked by a
vicious house cat. And also the really good episodes too. What can we learn from the best and
worst of great television? Like for example, is it really a bad episode or do people just hate
women? The best worst. Available wherever you get your podcasts.
