I'm trying to enjoy this.
Okay, I have realized something in watching this episode because this was fine.
I didn't have a problem with the episode because of the trauma from the last two years.
I just don't like this cast.
And it's like a me thing and I'm working on it.
But like they bug the shit out of me.
Is that your realization or is there something deeper?
No, I think that's it.
I just tried to have worked through it.
I was going to say, I mean, look, I think the best we can hope for with this show is dull.
boring storylines and contrived efforts to try to bring people into the flow of things that
aren't going to work.
It's just that's what's going to happen.
If it doesn't fully irritate me, I am going to take that as a win.
And right now, I don't know how I feel.
I'm getting there.
Two episodes is to be.
Come on.
Hey now.
As there's a drive in a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be.
Oh man, it's eight o'clock.
And so that'll make it a.
I don't need the spotlight.
I shine just fine.
Hi, I'm Karma and yes, I am a bitch.
Brov Bros.
Good evening, everybody.
Welcome back to another episode of Brov Bros, your favorite podcast from the Bros for everybody.
For whoever wants to listen, I'm your co-host, Steele Russell, joined as always by the one and only, Orange County.
I was going to do like Orange County Choppers.
Remember that show?
Yeah.
But then I got stuck.
I don't know how to do Gooter and the Chopper.
So Orange County Goots.
Was it Orange County Choppers?
West Coast Customs.
That's Pimp My Ride.
Yeah, that was the name of the garage.
But I think it was, now I'm confused.
Wasn't it?
It was Orange County Choppers?
I think it was Orange County Choppers.
Yeah.
But no, West Coast Customs was Pimp My Ride.
That was.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Good show.
Great show.
Great show.
I heard you like to cook.
So I put a whole kitchen in the back of your miniband.
Yeah.
A thousand miles on it.
I heard you been to Hawaii once
So we built a beach in your trunk
With 40 speakers, a subwoofer
And what's that?
That's the TV in front of your windshield.
I know you can't see, but it doesn't matter.
That's a whole ass live palm tree in your back seat.
You heard that you loved it down there so much.
We wanted to bring it to you.
Here's a beach.
Ah, yeah.
What a show?
I never watched Orange County Choppers, though, really.
I just know the clips.
That was pretty much it.
And then doesn't that, like, spill over into like some weird tattoo show
too. I think it did. One of the girls
on the shoppers went into
tattoo like inked or something.
Inked and then you also have the split off
into uh, pond stars.
I don't think they were overlapped.
No, I just was saying.
Oh. They overlapped. But
same vibe, same
same universe.
Unfortunately
I was a big arms universe. Yeah, it is
our universe. Pond stars rocked. I
loved Pond stars. That one dude passed
away which is sad.
Chung
chumley chumley chumley yeah yeah he passed away there's a lot of weird things going on that show should
have just ended and then we shouldn't have really heard from anybody except for like little appearances
here and there the three of them got very very weird chung lee being uh
i'm saying chumley it's chumley chungley chung lee is from street fighters that's that was my
first crush a little tidbit of information for you um but yeah no those people like
they should have just ended the show in like 2010, 2011,
whenever it was like, you know, kind of falling off.
And then they should have gone away because everything you hear about them now,
it's like, what are you doing here?
Yeah, Chambly got arrested, I believe, before he passed away.
He got arrested.
I believe Rick's son got arrested for something.
He did.
He did get arrested.
Did Rick's son die?
One of them died.
Now I feel bad.
Who died?
On star stars.
Pond stars.
Pond star.
Richard, the old man passed away.
Adam. So the son
passed away and Chum Lee
passed away. Like three years died.
Chum Lee, this one says he
wait a minute. Wait a minute, wait a minute.
Rick's son Adam Harrison died after
Oh, you know, dude, that's sad.
Then.
Is that show cursed? Like, is that what
we're getting into? We're getting in that. I don't know.
Did they buy a cursed object?
I mean, perhaps.
Who wants to comb through?
So, yeah, the son passed away from a OD and then I think that's it.
Then the dad passed away, but he was older.
Oh, the old.
Chumley's not dead.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
He's just arrested.
Chumley got arrested.
Booked on 20 felony counts back in 2016.
Oh, he's gross.
He's a gross dude.
Yeah, it was drugs and.
sexual assault.
Oh, good.
Yeah, okay.
So, yeah,
those people definitely should have
just gone away after a lot.
Yeah, definitely.
Ew.
Proves the point there.
Yeah.
Stop reading about Chubber.
What are we talking about?
We got here because of the cinematic universe
that is Orange County Choppers apparently.
Right.
That is all encompassing.
It's like the Marvel universe, but.
I at first thought you were talking about storage wars.
So that was my favorite.
That makes more sense for me for Orange County Choppers to storage.
Wars made sense to me. Pond stars,
I guess kind of makes sense. But that's what I thought
originally. So then when you started bringing up other people,
I was like, wait a minute, that's not.
But yeah, I mean, I thought it like this.
You get your Orange County chopper,
you ride to the storage bins,
storage units, you buy
one, then you take that stuff
to the pawn shop. Boom. Yeah, it works.
Full circle. Well,
anyway.
Yeah, Orange County.
How we feel about the show?
I'm, uh, look,
I don't think it's bad.
Like I thought this episode was fine.
I thought it had a good flow to it.
I see some things.
I know people are going to say like you're hating.
I see some things that are like, you know, reminiscent of previous seasons, like how things
are starting to stack up, the different issues that we're getting into.
I do have to acknowledge, and that's why I open it up with, you know, I do clearly have a bias.
And I'll admit that.
So my job now is to shelf that and watch this show objectively.
which I think I'm doing okay.
Because like I said, this episode was fine.
I just got to get over my personal irritation over like little shit.
Yeah, I think that where this episode or this episode is a good encapsulation of it,
it falls in the category of I'm tired.
I had a really long week.
I'm laying on the couch and I have it on in the background.
I'm okay with that.
That is leaps and bounds better than what OC used to be.
Now, obviously some things come out in this episode where it's like,
oh, fuck, are we doing this again?
I still hope the Heather stuff goes somewhere,
but I lose all interest as soon as it starts up because you know that it's not going to go anywhere.
And then we're talking about podcasting stuff.
And I know people are probably going to ask that to us.
I have no fucking clue how that works with the feeds and all of that stuff.
Maybe you do because I.
Oh, yeah.
Well, no, that's nothing special.
She just did like a plug-in play.
So it's on like two T's feet.
It would be like if you and I had a network.
and sign a new podcast.
And in our actual feed,
like we dropped the OC episode,
then we drop that podcast episode on our feed.
That's all.
Oh, that's stupid.
Well, it gets automatic downloads because of two T's.
So it gives it a big bump.
That seems illegal, you know?
I mean, I don't know.
It's definitely been illegal.
I feel like those numbers are very inflated.
So I do like...
They definitely were.
It definitely puts things into perspective
from where Tamer's coming from, because if she's
going to sit there and be like, well, your numbers were way better
when you were on our feed. Now they've fallen
off that you're not on our feed. That makes a lot more sense.
So it's sort of like a double whammy
because Tamer's making fun of Emily, but she's
also saying like, you're nothing without me.
So don't go away from me, but also thank me for
everything that you got. I don't know if Emily
really understands it because the way that it was brought up
at the table at the end of the episode, I
was confused as shit. They were throwing different
things out there. I'm like, I don't think
that's how that one works, but whatever, just
go with it. Also, we're doing a whole
storyline about podcast networks.
Like really? Is this really what we're doing right now?
Like we are not tuning in
two housewives. I know it's a new day and age
and I know it's kind of funny for us to say because we have a podcast.
It is ironic. Like I'm not fucking
tuning in to watch housewives talk about their podcast.
Go do that as a separate
entity. Go talk and I know two T's
does that where they'll check in with like other housewife
franchises and other Bravo shows and other reality
TV stuff and they do a lot of pop culture.
So that makes sense. And that's your job
technically aside from this obviously.
So you can talk about it to a certain
extent. But if we're going to have real beef about this, that's where it goes way too far.
We talked about it last year. Now that we're doing it again this year, even with them being a
little bit more prepared. And now we're doing multiple conversations where Emily and Shane are
talking about it and what they need to do to just kind of appeased Tamara. It's just boring,
honestly. It really is. Like, I don't hate it. It's just really boring. It's social media adjacent.
And we've talked about that, you know, Salt Lake specifically was a big one because they were all
talking to the bloggers and they were DMing people and they were setting things up and
clearly that didn't work and there was a big uproar from the fans about that to the point that
production literally told them like that's enough which is good but I feel like this enters
that similar realm of like okay this is a way for you to promote yourselves I'm not knocking
the podcast thing like you said it's not awful just kind of like all right like I don't you know
it's like a fourth wall break yeah I don't care about
Yeah, I'm okay with that.
And that's the funny thing too because fourth wall breaks.
There's a fine line there.
Some of them don't hit.
Atlanta's been doing them.
It seems like every year, mostly Porsche.
And it's just sometimes it's like, oh, cool.
We're actually breaking the fourth wall.
We should do this.
The most, I would say most of the times that they try to break the fourth wall on any of these shows, it never works.
Like it's just, it's not going to way.
And I don't even know if this is necessarily a fourth wall break.
But it's just, again, very boring.
There's got to be more going on in everybody's lives.
And I know this is one of those shows that we talk about.
a lot.
Vicky coming back into the fold helps things out because she is genuinely friends with
Tamara and Shannon at least.
But they don't hang out at all.
And we're just kind of digging up more things.
We know Heather's basically living in Beverly Hills at this point.
So there's no real thing going on there in the off season.
We're just bringing up stuff that happened six or seven months ago just to rehash it because
they haven't talked since then.
And that's the one thing that I feel like this show does more than anybody else.
They just have to get out of their own way.
It's something with those California housewives.
They just won't stop doing it.
We want fresh material.
We don't want to talk about who's doing what on a podcast network.
Now, if there's a big swing in there or Tamara's sitting down and she actually,
because I know she's going to have scenes with Teddy later in the season,
if she's sitting down with Teddy and there's like more information about what was going on
with Emily and then we're having conversations with like I heart.
That's not even a fourth wall break for the housewives.
That's a fourth wall break for podcast that works.
That could be interesting.
Maybe it's only interesting to us because we, you know, live in that business.
Yeah, but I think it would at least be like a step in the right direction.
So there are things they can do.
I just feel like they need to earn our trust back.
We need to get some faith back in these women.
And right now I've got zero faith in both of them.
That's a really good way to put it.
It's just our trust has been broken over the past two years because of the product that we saw.
And again, I'll keep reiterating it.
Not a bad episode.
I'm not saying this episode was bad.
But when you see hints of a lot of the issues that we've had with this show,
starting to be discussed, like little things here.
Like, okay, are we really going to do the Tamara thing all over again?
Is that just what we're going to do every single season?
I don't want to do that anymore.
Like, the Heather thing's interesting.
And we agreed on that episode one.
If we're able to effectively go after Heather a little bit,
rattle her cage and see what she does, that's interesting.
We haven't seen that.
And it's time.
Like, her comeuppance is due because she's been phoning it in for so long.
but if we're just going to shift and default to the things that hard quote work
yeah i have a problem with that yeah i definitely have a problem with that and i don't know
if you watch the watch ravens live on thursday with tamara they asked the question who is
essentially the hbic of the oc cast tamar only got like 2% which i know crushed her which is
very funny but she'll spin that into like oh i'm just the villain nobody likes me and she'll be
fine i would say like vicky right now obviously has always been that but heather got the chunk of
the vote and they were talking about that makes sense to me and it really bothered tamera see i don't
really think it does make any sense i mean yeah maybe just the nobody really wants to go after her
and we saw jen start to do that way that's what it is honestly i think she's like been untouchable
so she automatically takes that seat yeah and to me that's not hbic that's just you know who do you
not want to fuck with like who's who's number one in terms of i don't really want to have that smoke
i guess it's heather yeah sure i would say it's actually tamra because tamara goes so low the
she'll pull something out that you didn't realize was even out there.
That's what it happened.
But with Heather, I'm like, I feel you get to be there.
You need to be friends with everybody.
You have to be able to control storylines, narratives, all of the conversations.
And I feel like Heather doesn't do that because she checks out.
Usually in the beginning of the season, she's just like, oh, I've been having such a great life,
what she is doing.
She's actually holding her feet to the fire, but that's not going to last super long.
Again, we have no faith in them being able to carry an actual good storyline for a little while.
And I think I don't even know if pushing Heather is a good storyline, but it's different.
So at least try it out.
Yeah, exactly.
It's something new.
You know, we've gotten the same product two years in a row, copy and paste each year.
So, like, yeah, and that's different.
Give it a whirl.
We'll see what we got.
But let's jump into this episode.
And maybe this is why it, like, set the tone initially and I was just irritated because we're doing bungee aerobics.
I've said for two years now, I'm sick of the prat falls.
I'm sick of Shannon not being able to walk.
We get the montage of her falling down.
It's just played out.
Like, dude,
yeah,
walk.
I'm glad you're doing things to help your stability because if this is all genuine,
like every single fall is genuine,
which obviously the ones where she's solo on the ring camera,
like, yeah,
I believe that happened.
But I think she leans into these things and it bothers the shit out of me.
It's just annoying.
Stand up.
Yeah,
we have multiple inside reports.
I know,
you know,
there's a producer name.
Oh,
do you see that tweet?
Yeah.
And like,
that is true.
We've heard that about Shannon for years.
We heard it about that dating show that she was on last year.
And I can't remember the name of.
Do you remember the name of that?
Love Hotel.
Love Hotel.
Yeah.
We heard that about the Love Hotel and that we never saw any fallout because it's off
camera.
We've heard this about Shannon for years.
Yeah.
J.K.B. said it.
Joel Kim Booster dragged her, remember?
Yeah.
So when we see this and we get the clips of her falling and she's like, oh, I'm just, I have
no balance.
I'm just goofy.
I just kind of fall around.
Like, we don't believe it.
It falls under the category of what you always say, Kathy Hilton.
doing where she's paying attention, but she acts like she's a loop.
That's kind of what Shannon's doing, except when Kathy does it, it's enjoyable.
When Shannon does it, I'm like, all right, enough, whatever.
And Shannon can be enjoyable for sure.
She just has to be in like the right situation.
I don't think she's been in the right situation for years because she's going against
Tamara and that's like too personal, too sensitive for her to really get through.
So I don't know.
It's just that always bothers me too.
And I know it's just that one off scene where they're just doing valid stuff, but it
doesn't matter.
Yeah, me too.
And there was a former.
producer. I don't know if you saw that on Instagram, I believe, who was talking about.
That's what I was talking about, Patrick. You weren't. The one where like the camera goes on and she just snaps into being nice. Yeah. Okay. So yeah, that's kind of my problem with Shannon too. It's like what we're seeing is not who you are. You're not giving us authenticity. So now you're falling everywhere. It's just annoying. But it's Jen, Shannon and Gina. And they're planning Emily's 50th birthday party. You're going to do a little bingo drag or drag bingo. Excuse me.
and they're going to dress up like old ladies.
Now we recap Heather's party.
And this is going to be the big question mark,
because Shannon does still have a lot to say about Tamara.
But she refuses to say it to Tamara,
which I don't even falter because it never really seems to work.
I think she's got like a roadblock when it comes to that,
that she can't kind of get past a certain area.
But that's where you want to see like a Jen step in.
Gina is a lost cause, but Jen seems to be the spearhead of multiple things this year.
Because the Heather Tamara thing, I know that it somewhat supports Tamara.
And she's like, oh, thank you.
And now she's using that to her advantage.
She's texting Jen.
Like, oh, my God, you're the best.
I love you so much trying to wiggle her way into there.
But to me, that doesn't say or scream that Jen's trying to make nice with Tamara.
I think she's just going after Heather.
So she's kind of going after both of them, or at least rattling.
both of their cages and I'm okay with that.
I think that might just be what's happening.
I don't know if that's what Jen's intent is because I don't see her being able to concoct
a plan that somehow both gets Tamara and Heather.
I think it's really just Jen trying to do her own thing and we watched that a little bit last
year.
You know, the first year she was on the show.
She was Tamara's lackey and then Tamara cut ties with her pretty quickly.
Then it was last year her going against Tamara the whole time.
But she kind of found her footing in the midst of all that.
and I know it was utterly terrible to watch that last season,
but watching Jen kind of morph into at least her own person gives me a little bit of hope.
I don't know if I'm always going to support her because I do think she's going to do some dumb shit here and there.
But this is different.
And again, we haven't really seen at least in the last four or five years maybe anyone try to tell Heather like,
hey, I got you.
Let's see how you do this.
So at least try it out.
And if it's Jen doing it, I'm completely fine with that.
And it makes sense, given her character development, if you want to call it that over the last couple of years.
But I don't think that she was doing this to get both Tamara and Heather,
but it is happening because she is ruffling feathers within that
and maybe causing a little bit of a divide where I'm okay if not teams,
but I'm okay if there's a good fray in the whole friendship through everybody.
I agree with that too because we haven't seen just an overall rocky group.
And usually we don't root for that,
but we haven't really seen on this show where everybody's at odds.
Maybe that's something.
We're just trying to find new things.
I think it works.
It especially works this season if you bring Vicky back because Vicki's already kind of been tested with the Shannon and Tamara thing.
And she's cool with pretty much everybody on the cast and she'll get cool with the newer people that she doesn't really know.
But I do think with a season of Vicky being involved, she'll be able to tow the line and be able to pass information back and forth.
Now, we always get in trouble, especially on this show with telephone.
And that's kind of what we're doing right now.
People are saying this.
I'm saying this.
And then it gets to their final destination.
and it's a completely different story.
But I don't know.
We'll set up to just see if it works.
Yeah, time will tell.
But Shane and Emily are taking some pictures for their new podcast.
Now, Legally Brunette is her current podcast.
That's the one that she does.
I believe with Gina.
Is that wrong?
No, she does it with Shane.
Oh, Shane and her do that one.
I thought her and Gina did.
Shane was like, okay.
She did one with Gina at some point.
Now, I think Gina tried to start her own podcast.
That didn't go super well.
The gated group.
Yeah.
The gated cast.
Yeah.
That one didn't go super well.
So, yeah, this is just a spin-off, which again is confusing and stupid to me, that you're
spending so much time talking essentially about like domestic disputes and domestic
murders especially.
Like, you're kind of branching off into the true crime realm, which I think is probably
more lucrative for her than just sitting around talking about lawyer stuff with your
weirdo husbands.
I don't know.
Those are my words, not anybody else's.
So I don't know of adding in a second podcast is really good to work.
But I mean, if you get on timers network, maybe you will.
You get those auto clicks.
I have a different take.
And I did not expect me to have this take.
But I think the Legally Brunette actually does fine.
Like I don't think that's just like, oh, I have a podcast and it doesn't actually do anything.
I do believe her numbers are at least decent.
The true crime route, like a husband and wife.
discussing husband and wife's murdering each other,
I think that has legs.
Like if they're able to do it,
I do think that's not a terrible idea.
So shockingly,
I'm actually like,
okay,
I don't hate this.
I'll,
I'll rephrase that.
I don't think the idea is bad,
but the people doing it will not work.
Because I don't think anybody wants to sit around
and listen to Emily and Shane talk at length
for like an hour and a half about something.
I just,
ugh, God,
that gives me the hippie-jeebies.
Watch them win one of those awards that they always reach out to us about.
We will never win an award because you have to pay to be included in the, what do you call them?
nominations.
Nominations, whatever.
You don't even get nominated.
Like, you just get in a video podcast.
Like, hey, send us $250 and we'll nominate you.
50.
It's like a thousand.
It's like so that's two grand.
Yeah.
50 at first.
I never read the emails anymore.
No.
So we will never win an award, guys.
Yeah, nominate us all you want.
It's not going to happen.
Crappy.
No, but the one thing I thought was funny, I thought Shane had a funny.
And I thought it's a good idea, too.
When he's like, you should write Tamara a thank you note.
It's like, you really should write her a thank you note.
Like, I think that would be a great idea.
But anyway, Tamara and Heather sit down for dinner.
Now, as far as what they talked about, like, again, it's like talking about the boxes.
like I put friends in every box.
Every friend's got a box, whatever.
My big thing here, one, Heather admitted that she was scared of Tamara for the first time.
She's scary.
It's like, boom, you are afraid of her.
Two, my thing with these two, and we've seen it year after year, Jen is correct.
Like, Heather, you have a lot to say about Tamara.
And then when you talk to her, you think that you're off the hook because you do reference certain things that you said.
Right.
She will go back and be like, yeah, I know, I didn't love your behavior.
or don't love your behavior there.
There's more to that story.
And if Heather actually opened up to Tamara and really went for it,
I think we'd have a different thing on our hands.
But she never does.
She gets like to the line and then they're able to kind of squash it.
And Heather's like, oh, but you know I love you.
And that's it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And we've seen that game play out multiple,
multiple times.
This was very interesting to me because you have a confessional and you have the
scene itself.
Both of their confessionals,
they're saying completely different things.
And you go back to the scene itself,
but it's almost like an apology and a squashing and everything's going to be fine.
So I thought the scene itself was whatever.
I mean,
it was something we've seen a million times.
But the confessionals were a much different tone.
And it's more so from Tamara than Heather,
obviously.
But if you read between the lines of what Heather's saying,
it's almost like I got to be a little bit more careful.
I can't be saying these things.
Now I've got to point the finger at Jen,
which she's done in the past when she gets caught talking shit on somebody and someone
brings it up.
We saw it with Katie Janella.
she will backtrack and then blame that person.
She always blames the messenger,
not the person who would actually happen with or herself for saying anything.
She doesn't really take accountability.
But Tamara's was more of,
I'm going to keep an eye on this.
And if she starts talking again,
it's going to get back to me because everybody talks to Tamara.
And that is sort of how the show goes.
I mean, Tamara's been the engine of this show for years.
Yeah, even pretty much just going back to when she came back.
That's how the show works.
Somebody says something about Tamara in a different setting
and then someone will run and tell Tamara right away.
But we haven't really seen that with Heather.
She's kind of been, weirdly enough, Tamara has put her in a box.
If Heather's talking about anything, there's probably something else afoot.
But now she's putting her in the Jen pop with everybody else.
She can now go after her.
So maybe it gives you a little hope.
If you want to look that way, I think it could.
I at least think we're going to explore it.
I just don't know if it's going to go anywhere.
But again, it's something different.
Yeah.
And the one thing, you know, kind of forcing this to a head might result in something different, too.
Because if people keep talking about it, Jen keeps pushing that.
button, then it could lead to those two actually having it out.
Like if Tamara catches wind of something Heather said that's like extra shady or vice versa,
if Heather finds out the Tamara like stabbed her in the back or is talking shit to somebody
else, which that is more likely to happen.
I would imagine Heather's going to try to be pretty buttoned up unless something
serious happens.
But with Tamara, she's going to talk shit.
Will that get back to Heather if Jen's around it will?
And if that happens, maybe we'll see Heather kind of drop the gloves finally and really go in.
Yeah, I mean, that's what we can hope for.
Right now, that's what's on the horizon of hope.
It's just, again, they just have to get our trust back.
We have to be able to see these things coming and get excited for them to happen.
Right now, I'm tentatively excited that it could happen.
Yeah, we shall see.

Moving right along with Shannon and Carmela, and this was pretty much just a little background on Carmela.
Married to Jeff Garcia, NFL quarterback.
That's damn right.
And, you know, just more about their life.
He was 34.
She was 21.
She was playmate of the year getting hammered at his games.
He was calling or telling her,
telling her stop drinking at the games, blah, blah, blah.
Tale is old as time, you know.
But in the early 2000, she recapped some of the Playboy Mansion parties.
The lineup that we got from that was hilarious.
George Clooney, Michael Bay, and David Schwimmer.
Ross was there?
Hell yeah.
And then she talks about going.
home with Leonardo DiCaprio and did not boink, but says she wishes they did.
Yeah, she rested on Monday Night Raw.
Yeah, that was cool.
I didn't know that about her.
I also didn't know about Jeff Garcia until she said it, which was kind of interesting.
It just shows you that we don't really do any research on these people.
I know.
Dev texted me.
She said, do you know, Joe Garcia is.
I was like, I do.
Oh, okay.
Well, there you go.
But yeah, more backstory.
And again, this was good.
This is Shannon being very nice, which, you know, we've seen before.
she always tries to be nice to the people in the group because she wants more friends i don't think
it's going to last of course because i think carmel is going to get her feet wet at some point she hasn't done
a whole lot she's sort of doing what we want a newbie to do especially on a cast like this just checking
in being herself it seems having fun making friends and then she'll go but i get good vibes from her
and i do think she will turn on a dime in the next couple of episodes but i really like to see that she's
just kind of waiting she's just getting involved talking to everybody and figuring out how everybody ticks
at least that's what I'm seeing.
So I'm hoping and praying that at some point she'll turn.
I just don't know which direction she's going to turn in.
I don't want her to shoot for the moon.
Don't go after a Tamara.
Don't go after Vicki.
Leave them alone for now.
You have to work your way up to that.
But if you go after somebody like a Shannon or an Emily, like that, that'll be fine by me.
Agreed.
But just first impression, it seems like she's leaning towards Shannon.
And if that's the case, then she's inevitably going to go after Tamara.
And if she goes after Tamara, first season.
I don't see it going very well at all.
But I don't know.
Like maybe she can hold her own.
Maybe we just need that wild card to enter the group that doesn't know any better.
And she goes full throttle on Tamara.
Maybe it works.
I don't know.
I don't know.
We saw that with Katie.
She went after Heather right away.
That didn't work out well.
That's true.
I don't know.
I really don't know how it's going to play out.
But I do get good vibes from her.
And again,
we talked about this last week.
Just give us little nuggets of information.
I don't want a whole storyboard.
about everything save some leave some in the chambers bring them out when it's funny bring them out
when it's appropriate that's what i want yeah we do want to hear them but not just like back to back
to back yeah i just don't want to be like word vomit yeah yeah we don't want that to be your only
card that you play but we get to tamara and vicky and they are obviously also talking about
heather's party and how she downplays their friendship according to tamra and vicky calls her a surface
friend. And this is kind of on par with how Heather's talked about their friendship over the
years. Like she said, what, what were they social friends or something? So it's just confusing.
And that goes back to Tamara earlier saying that Heather has different personalities,
depending on who she's with. I wouldn't call like full blown different personality, but she does
switch up how she speaks with different people. And I think that with this one, with Vicki and
Tamara both there, right?
I have a feeling Vicky's going to try to play like, not neutral, but just full matriarch.
Like, I know how everything is going and not really pick a team, but I do think she'll get
involved in certain spats.
I think she'll get involved when she gets irritated.
I think right now what she's doing is just kind of waiting into the group, but you see it
at the end.
She gets so bored.
She said, this bores my ass, which is a very funny phrase.
I think that's what's going to happen.
She's going to get irritated.
She's going to just not be able to contain herself anymore
when there's a stupid conversation going on.
And then she'll scream across the table.
That'll be her getting involved.
Whether or not she gets pulled in fully is up in the air at this point.
But I do like the way she's navigating.
I mean, people aren't really trying to bring her into anything.
You don't see a conversation with Shannon.
She's talking about Tamara, but she's not asking her to pick sides or she's not ragging on
Tamara too hard.
She just doesn't want to talk about it.
You go over to Tamara.
Tamara's talking about Heather,
but it's all very, you know, informational stuff.
It's all like, how do you feel about this?
What are you seeing?
So I like the way.
I like Vicki's approach to the season.
I think she's just trying to try to figure her way out.
But again, I actually have faith in Dickey.
So I feel like it could work out.
Yeah, me too.
But they are talking about the podcast thing as well.
We just get some background on it.
And again, she's talking about they tested Emily's podcast.
And it went out to all of their subscribers,
implying once again, it was on the two T's feed.
So obviously a lot more people had to listen to it.
It's funny that, and this is what she does, she throws things in there that are like
little tiny digs along the way.
Like, you know, we got a lot of texts, a lot of DMs.
People weren't happy about it because they weren't, they don't want to listen to Emily.
They wanted to listen to us.
So she's planting little things here and there, all depending on how later goes.
Like, I think she is trying to pace herself so that later on when it's brought up,
am I going to go back and pull that one out or am I going to leave that one go?
depending on how things go between her and Emily.
But the gratitude thing,
I don't know, man.
I have to believe that Emily has thanked her.
This to me sounds like,
get on your knees and bow to me
because I gave you a shot on our network.
I don't know if Emily actually has thanked her.
I really don't.
Maybe at very,
I really don't know how that conversation goes.
Like Tamara or Teddy reach out.
Hey, how would you feel about joining our network?
Well, she's co-hosting.
T's a bunch of times.
Yeah.
So I really don't know.
I think there's a level to all of it.
Now, I think Tamara does want what you just said, the bow down.
She wants the over thank you.
She wants all of the things that you're going to, like all the kudos,
get on your podcast, start off right away and say that you're really thankful to Teddy
and Tamara because they put you on the network.
Like all of those things is what Tamara wants.
But I do think there's a middle ground and that's where Emily's not getting to,
which is just a plain like, hey, I really appreciate the opportunity.
I don't think, I think Emily's too proud to even get there.
but also because of what Tamara's asking for, which is the world,
we're never going to get there anyway.
So it's almost like a moot point at this point.
And again, it's not that captivating.
If there's more information with hard evidence,
with actual feedback, with actual numbers,
yeah, okay, it's a toss out.
But I can't imagine the masses,
the people that are watching the show,
are going to be really enthralled with that.
I think it's a really boring topic.
If you pull out Numbies and when you're on their feed
to get 50,000 downloads,
and when you're on your own feed to get 1,000 downloads,
I'm interested.
That I would like to see.
But we know how those numbers work.
You can't just pull that.
You can pull the feed number, sure.
But I don't think I heart is texting Tamara and saying,
hey, we want to put Emily back on because we saw a 99% decrease in her viewership without you.
Taborne makes it seem like she's got that kind of relationship with whoever is working at IHeart Radio.
But it's just going to be made up.
Like at some point, we're going to call.
I don't trust the numbers.
No.
Yeah.
But we get a little Vicky anecdote, which I always love because they're talking about
Havasu because Mike could text her, hey, I'm going to the nest in the desert, which I guess is
their house in the desert.
And she's talking about being out there recently.
And she's like, I saw Don, Don being her ex-husband.
And she's like, I pushed Mike to the side.
I grabbed his face.
And I said, Mike, I hope you're doing good.
Or sorry, Don, I hope you're doing good.
Yeah.
And it was a nice encounter.
But then, you know, everything got a flashback.
And then Don came over and he apologized to me for divorcing me, saying you never should have divorced me.
And then Mike's standing right there.
I'm just like, oops.
So I heard about that one on the way home.
It was just a great Vicky moment because I can I could actually see in my head this whole scene playing out.
Yeah, it's a very Vicky moment.
Her even saying like, I just wanted to kiss him.
I just wanted to apologize for everything.
I just wanted to say, no, she was the one who said, I wanted to tell him that I didn't mean to divorce him.
Oh, I thought he said that.
No, she said that's funnier.
But it's still fucking funny.
Like, what do you mean you didn't mean to?
I think it's funny here that she said.
Yeah, it's a great phrase.
And then by the end of the conversation, I realized, oh, yeah, Mike's still standing here.
Hey, I'm Mike.
I'm Vicki's boyfriend.
And then I heard about that way home.
That's just funny.
And that's what you're going to get with Vicki.
That's where I want her to stay for a little while.
Obviously, I want her to get involved.
But those little anecdotes are always going to hit me.
I would also love if she said to Tamara, you remember Rondolays?
Yeah.
They know me there now.
That's my bar.
But let's get to Car.
Mela and her kids. She has four kids. And Presley, JJ, uh,
Dany's the boyfriend. Presley, J.J. Jacks. I don't know if we got the fourth one.
Nope, probably not. Nope. But again, just kind of background. We're getting to know everything,
how their, you know, home life works. She has the kids. The majority of the time, it seems like,
but then they go over to Jeff's house. And they seem to co-parent pretty well. We get a lot about
that later. But, you know, she's talked about her super strict childhood, which led to her
kind of going the opposite way. Then we get to meet Danny, who is her current boyfriend. They
live together full time. She loves him very much. Met him while her life was falling apart.
She said, hey, do you like kids? He said, I love kids. She's like, great. Let's get hitched or date
each other. And yeah. That's pretty much it. That is literally too much it. Then Jacks is trying to skip
track. He's trying to skip track practice, which I did not care for the, the lack of like,
hey, get your ass to track practice. It was kind of like, oh, Jacks. Yeah, Jacks. You're still here.
You didn't get to track practice. Oh, God. Jeff get over there, get him in there. Where's Jeff?
Can we get his location? It was, it was fine. It was just like a funny little scene.
Obviously, we have to have those with with a new housewife to get the home life and figure everything out.
It's all very confusing. I mean, when she gets into it later, too, where there's no full like settled
custody agreement. There's no drawn out contract.
there's no like times or schedule or anything like hey one of the kids calls me at 11 p.m.
and they're over at Jeff's house and they want to hang out with me.
I got to drive over and get them.
She makes it seem very simple, but it sounds incredibly hectic.
I can't imagine doing all of that.
But I am a little confused because she talks later about Danny.
I liked Danny right away.
He just popped it.
He's like, hey, I got to go check on the AC.
I'll be out of here.
I'm like, oh, Danny, it seems like a nice guy.
He's cheating on her or cheated on her too.
So she just can't catch a break.
Yeah, she's talking about that.
And also,
she's cheating on her is brutal.
Yeah, that sucks.
You never want to see your heroes,
be bad people.
Yeah,
we really like Jeff Garcia in Philadelphia.
So that one,
that one stinks.
Yeah.
But that kind of directly leads us into the party
because she kind of wraps up
that whole conversation
with like the modern family stuff,
this and that.
But the main thing that's going on at this party
is the Heather Jen Tamara
triangle that's going on
because immediately there,
Heather brings up
You know, that party was supposed to be about celebrating friendship.
And then Jen comes in there.
So here's what's happening.
And this is what bothers me.
This is why I need somebody to be on Jen's team.
And maybe Carmelo is that person.
I don't know.
But Heather gets ahead of things because she doesn't want to deal with them.
And she kind of rallies the group before anything happens.
So then when she pops off, they already agree with Heather.
Half of them are going to agree with Heather because it's Heather.
and the other half have heard her talking about it and got her point of view.
And they're like, oh, well, Heather's right.
So we don't get like a genuine reaction from the group.
I need Jen to be there.
I need her to be there and just like get into it immediately and then let the group pick.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I, Heather drives me crazy with her pearl clutching.
It's always that.
It's always that was such a nice event.
How dare you ruin it?
It's like you're on a housewife show, figure it out.
And I know that you really haven't been tested.
And you haven't been tried in a long time, if ever.
So when those things happen, you get really upset.
But I hate it so much.
It's like, shut up.
Just roll with the punches.
Give us something fun.
Like, go back at Jen.
Try to do it directly to her face.
Don't do it to someone else.
Don't disparage her and talk to Emily about her.
Don't talk to Tamara about her.
Whatever it is.
Have something ready to go.
Go back at Jen.
If she's coming at you.
It's all just questions right now.
And that's the thing that she kind of leans on is,
I wouldn't say any of these things.
Stop asking me questions.
It's like, no.
if you start, and this is the trends that you usually see with Heather,
she starts and she says something that's like a little off color.
It's like, oh, what do you mean by that?
Oh, how do you feel about this person?
Like it's just more exploratory questions based on the things that you're saying.
So when people are asking you questions and it gets to a point where you say something like,
you know, Tamer's just Tamer.
I put her in a box and I don't really deal with it.
They're going to go back to Tamer and tell her that every time.
It doesn't matter who says that.
So you have to be able to understand that and try to spin your way out of it.
But the way that she spins her way out of it always irritates me because it's always a whatever I say isn't that big of a deal.
But what you say, I'm going to hold on to that for seven or eight episodes.
That's what she does and it pisses me off.
No, that's a good point.
And I think the interesting thing is when Jen talked about the dinner after the reunion, she said multiple times that Heather was the one leading the charge against Tamara.
So when she tries to default and say, first of all, it doesn't make any sense because there's still your opinions.
if you're going to say, stop asking me questions.
Well, you answered the questions.
And your answers disparaged Tamara.
So that's how you feel about her.
And that's Jen's whole point is you're saying one thing to me, then I see with Tamara,
you do not hold her accountable, not to the level of how you're talking about her when she's not there.
Like she gets this, she gets off because she's like, well, I did ask her about this.
Tamara didn't ask you about that?
It's like, yes, you did technically, but not with the same ump.
And that's what we're missing here.
That's what Jen's pissed off about.
That's why she's raising questions.
And again, like you said, the pearl clutching,
Heather in her mind can do no wrong.
If she poses a question or talks some shit,
it's like, well, that's just the truth because I'm Heather Dubro.
But God forbid you say anything.
Don't even comment on her initials being on everything because that's going to be World War
fucking three.
So I just need, I need Jen to keep on it.
And I need to figure out who can partner with her because nobody is right now.
I don't even see anybody.
The one thing I can see, and maybe we'll bridge a gap between Vicky and Tamara, and this will be like full circle, when Vicky goes to a confessional and says, four kids, your husband cheated, your boyfriend cheated, how are the kids going to be affected?
Whoa, probably shouldn't be talking about that.
But that makes me think that that's going to be brought up at some point, which means Carmela is not going to like Vicky.
Now, if Carmela and Jenner friends, could it be residual and kind of lead into Tamer?
bro. That's how far I'm going. I'm trying to connect these dots.
Yeah, you're really trying to connect these dots. This is early season. We haven't hit
that fatigue level yet, which is good. Is this when you're going to get us at our highest energy
for OC anyway? But yeah, I can see it going a number of different ways. I also think that the
Tamara aspect is really going to come into play because one thing we know about Tamara, she doesn't
really care. She's going to go after Heather if she wants to. It's just there's never like too big
of a fish for her to fry. So I'm hoping that that's what's going to happen. And I'm okay with
that if jen and tamara have to come back together and we've said this before that's how these
shows work tamara understands that probably better than any other housewife you're not going to be friends
you're not going to be friends you're not going to be friends you're not going to be friends
heather correct jen and tamara versus heather and i know jen is being a little cautious but we saw
the mask slip a couple of times last year where tamara would say something nice and she's like
ah you know it's just i i know i'm supposed to be cautious but like i just don't want to be friends
with her so i'm not going to be friends with her it's like that's going to happen eventually she's
just going to have to get out of her own way. And I'm okay with her little trial and error period.
Like, all right, yeah, let's just test this out a little bit. I'll go grab drinks with Tamara and
talk shit for a little bit, but I'm not going to trust her. That's going to go away very soon,
especially if Heather keeps doing this. And if Jen keeps pushing it and Heather keeps pushing after
Jen, we're going to get Tamara involved at some point. Okay. I like that. That seems plausible.
Back to work. Yeah. My other stuff is a Hail Mary. That seems pretty good. I'm down for that.
That's the other thing about this show.
I just mentioned Heather and Tamara.
Like, yes, Vicky will go wherever.
Don't care what Shannon does.
I don't care what the rest of the group does.
They can pick their teams wherever they want to.
They're not going to be actual factors in any of this.
So it doesn't matter.
The craziest thing to me is that Gina seems to be our narrator.
She's getting more confessionals just to talk about what's.
She's not in scenes.
No.
And they're giving her confessions.
Yeah.
What's going on?
I don't know.
That's her new stick,
I guess.
Okay.
Not being there, but having feelings on things.
Yeah, I guess.
But anyway, Jen and Heather kind of hash it out a little bit.
They sit down and Jen apologizes for spilling the tea and, you know,
Heather goes into her spiel about, well, I spent a lot of buddy and it was a party about
friendships and putting my name in your mouth.
It's not that serious.
No, it's not.
And it's coming from a place of you talking shit, Heather and not having the balls to back
it up.
So Jen's finally calling you out.
But like you said, it's the clutching the pearls thing.
Like, I spent so much money on this party.
And it was a party about friendships.
How dare you disparage my friendship party with your bullshit?
Like, again, it's a housewife show.
Like, of course, that wasn't even bad at the party.
We've seen much, much worse from the show.
Yeah.
Honestly, I think that she wouldn't really care if other people were into a fight,
but because she was actually brought into it by her own words,
she's going to make a big deal about it.
That's fair.
That's fair.
And then we get another Heather Dubrow thing, which is, well, Jen and I were getting close,
but now I see how she moves.
So I'm going to go ahead and take a step back.
That's what she does with everybody.
She gets a newbie thing.
I know.
It's a newbie thing.
Well, I thought we were getting along, but you did one thing.
Tamara's burned me a thousand times and we'll do it again this season.
But it's different with her.
She's in my box.
Yeah.
Newbies.
I didn't like that.
She's in the box, the friendship box.
Oops.
Anyways, the last thing they hash out is this podcast stuff.
And, you know, we've talked about it enough, I think, but it's pretty much, was she grateful?
Did she thank Tamara?
Is her success contingent on Tamara?
It doesn't appear to be so.
It might be more successful on the two T's network.
I would probably imagine that to be true.
But I do think she has a modicum of success.
So again,
Who fucking cares?
Does anybody care about this one?
I can't imagine anybody cares about it.
And we saw the playbook already revealed.
Tamara talking to other people about it.
So she's got everybody kind of on her side.
Everybody understands where Tamara's coming from.
My only hope here is that this is the end.
We had a conversation.
Emily was able to just kind of speak her mind.
She probably feels a lot that I know it's not going to be the end of this.
But she's going to be able to speak her mind here at the table.
Tamara seems to accept whatever apology that was.
or the lack thereof it doesn't really fucking matter i would hope it would end i don't think tamra's
going to be the one to keep bringing it up but i do think emily will and that's the problem hopefully
emily just lets it lie because that's what we need and if emily's not talking about it then tamer
shouldn't talk about it anymore so i'm okay with tamer bringing it up in like three episodes and emily
saying why are we bringing this back up i thought we squashed it i would actually be on emily's side
but tamer needs to let it lie they both just need to let it lie because it is really boring yeah
me is we've we've referenced it a lot already and you have Emily starting a new podcast,
which means she's going to talk about that podcast to try to promote that podcast.
I have a feeling this one's going to run the whole season.
Yeah.
And that's going to be a bummer.
But like it's taking shape that it's going to be a mainstay.
And there's no need for that.
If history tells us anything about this show, this is going to be a 25 episode.
season and we're going to talk about the podcast and 23 of them.
Yep.
And then one at the reunion.
But let's get to some questions.
First one up here, which is not a question from it's sin.
We don't want Emily as a housewife.
We certainly don't want another podcast from her.
I was trying to be nice about it.
Yeah, you really were.
From Just Call Me Bree.
Will we get a Jeff Garcia cameo?
I think we will actually.
I think so too.
I'm pictured in all of the pictures.
I am a little worried.
We heard his voice.
We did hear his voice.
I'm a little worried, not about Jeff Garcia, but about Carmelah's mom.
There has been a huge shift in Housewife shows where we talk about shitty mothers.
I have a feeling she's going to be on it too because they showed her picture.
So I'm not excited about that one.
Jeff Garcia, I can be somewhat excited about.
Yeah, I bet we get a Garcia citing.
Janice Singram, 360.
Do we really have to watch Shannon Fall?
fake her clumsy crap for yet another season.
Thank you, Janice.
Thank you.
Yes.
And yes, we do.
From Helen J. Harm, does Vicki, a podcaster, not realize that people listen to
podcast while working?
I found that comment very funny.
That was very funny.
Work?
Would they just listen to podcasts all day?
Yes, most people did.
At work.
Yeah, at work while working.
It seems to work.
From Lucy Pierce-Robson, are you also finding it super boring?
Not for boring, but boring.
We're trying not to.
Yeah.
No, boring I'm okay with.
Boring is weirdly a step in the right direction for them.
Yeah, that's a good point.
Myra Hellwig, is Jen doing too much to stir the pot,
or is this the energy that Osi has been missing?
Somewhere in the middle, I appreciate what she's doing.
Like, I'm not going to fault her for trying.
But it's good for now.
We're two episodes in.
Will it begin to feel forced if she's not able to,
to press the right button or find a teammate.
Yes, that would be a problem.
Yeah.
From Marissa and Palma for a 20th season,
there's really no buzz around OC.
Why is that?
I have no idea what's going on with Bravo's marketing,
but they don't market shit.
Nothing.
They just make an announcement.
Vicki's back.
They make an announcement.
It's the 20th season.
This is going to be great.
And that's it.
They don't do anything.
Like, there's just no more marketing.
They spent all their money on new shows.
So now they have no marketing budget.
they rely on podcasters like us to do free marketing for them yeah it kind of works uh there's a lot
of questions in here about shannon lindsay bucks do you guys still find shannon entertaining the
kooky spanks comedy got old like six years ago uh megano megato is anyone charmed by quote unquote
clumsy Shannon it is annoying and needs to stop being a trope yeah i'm with you um yep
this is just very open ended from colie marie one does something feel all
with Emily.
Always.
There's always something that feels off about her and Shane.
Yeah.
Oh, God.
See, this is why it can't happen this early.
Not this soon.
It's in,
I'm already over this season.
I think I'm giving it up and just strictly listening to the bros.
Don't pawn it off on us yet.
Do that.
Stick with us for a little bit.
Love of God.
Yeah, we can't be watching this by ourselves.
No.
J.B. the Hut, 713.
Y'all excited about this show like the Valley?
See?
Guys, you're doing it.
It's episode two.
Can you give us like five before we start doing this?
Yeah.
One more.
Yeah, let's end on this one from Jennifer M2M.
I have a love-hate relationship with Vicki's return.
She's an asshole and good TV of it.
Yeah, I mean, that doesn't sound like love hate,
but just, I mean, less, you know, she's an asshole and it's good TV.
You respect what she does for the show, so you don't hate.
Correct.
Yeah, yeah.
You're glad she's back.
Yeah, yeah, that's where we land on that one.
Yeah, but not encouraging that there was a lot of those comments of, you know,
just listening to us suffer through the season in episode two.
Usually that's like episode seven or eight.
And then we get a lot of people like, I'm tapping out, just going to listen to you guys.
Episode two, that's kind of crazy.
That's kind of disheartening.
Homework, homework, you guys have to watch.
You guys have to stick with us until episode five.
And then you can go our separate ways.
But until episode five, we need the moral support from our audience, please.
Yeah.
Oh, fuck.
It's going to be another bad season, isn't it?
Yeah, it's definitely going to be.
There's nothing we can do about it.
Oh, boy.
Well, time will tell, I suppose.
But that's all I got.
You got anything else?
Nope.
Well, that's our show.
Rob Bros are out of here.
Now playing on Netflix, The Hawk.
From the mind of Will Ferrell.
Oh, mama, I'm back.
Comes a new original series.
Get ready, get ready.
That's it.
Did I stutter?
When an iconic pro golfer.
Lonnie.
Hockey!
Takes one last swing at greatness.
You were a big shot golfer.
I still am a big shot golfer.
No one.
Dad, I'm the Hawk now.
Will stand in his way.
That's how it's done.
The Hawk, now playing.
Only on Netflix.
The Tudors were probably the most scandalous dinners.
in British history.
The season on vulgar history were spilling the tea on this messy, messed up family
and the people who had to live through it all.
Anne Boleyn and the other wives of Henry VIII are known today from the musical Six,
but who were they really?
Did any of them actually want to marry him?
Henry the Eight, the man who was literally the worst?
How did two of them manage to escape with their heads intact?
We'll also get into historical mysteries,
like who really wrote Shakespeare's plays,
who was the real bloody Mary?
What was happening elsewhere in the world while the two
are trampling all over England, like the mysterious disappearance of the Roanoke colony and the
true story of the girl known as Pocahontas. I'll be joined by tutor historians, experts, and a few of
my friends who really hate Henry the 8th to learn all about the tutors this season on vulgar history.
Because it's fucking Henry the 8th all day, every day. Listen to vulgar history wherever you get
podcasts.
