Bros & Shows - Is Craig Okay? Is Salley Still in the Hot Tub? (Southern Charm Full Recap)
Episode Date: December 19, 2025What's up Bros? This season of Southern Charm is chaos. Which is exactly what we want. Salley and Charley are both clearly into Craig, but Salley is being a little (a lotta) more forthcoming about her... intentions. Venita checks in on Austen who has separated himself from the group, much to Craig's dismay. Madison's concern about Craig leads to a conversation to check on how he is holding up. It's the first time we've been able to see Craig acknowledge that he's in a bit of a spiral. Shep and Austen take steps towards reuniting. Oh yeah, Kory's there too. Learn more about your ad choices. You know, it's a good season of Southern Charm when it's just a mess.
It's just messy as shit.
And that's what I want.
That's what we all want, really.
It's messy as shit and everybody's involved.
It's not just two people with everybody else kind of coming in and out, floating in now a little bit here and there.
Everybody's got a little mess of their own.
And that's what we want.
Just a big buffet of mess.
I'm Brows and Shows.
Good afternoon, everybody.
Welcome back to another episode of Bros. and Shows.
I'm your co-host, Steel Russell, joined as always by the one and only shooter, bagueter.
What's up, dude?
Just hitting the end of the week.
Don't even want to do it.
It's like you just hit the snooze button on giving me an exclusive name for the episode.
Yeah, it's been a hell of a week.
It's been a long-ass week.
It has.
I was doing the math earlier this week of how much podcasting.
done this will be i think our 12 maybe that's right i think so yeah somewhere on there yeah
and then you have to add in of course all the time that we're watching these shows so you know
we've got a full day of just 24 hours of content i haven't even done 24 hours of my main job
no i've never done like work work that oh great news by the way for everybody out there and i know
that you guys are all really invested in my life.
I don't have to go back to the office until like January 4th.
Yeah, it's good.
It's great news for me more than anything because that allows us to record before 5.
530 and it gets you home much sooner than sitting in traffic after you record.
Then you have to go home after work.
It's the whole thing.
So it is great news.
Happy holidays.
That's your present to yourself.
I'm going to get bored at home.
So I'm probably just going to drive over to your house at some point like in the morning
and some coffee.
We always talked about that.
We always talked about it's hanging out, drinking some coffee at like 10, 30, 11 o'clock in the morning, getting a little morning smooch in there because we've both brushed our teeth.
You know how it goes?
It's just, it's the dream.
It is the dream.
Like, it would be so much easier.
But for now, we have other jobs.
We're getting close.
And then one day it's going to be scary because we're going to have to pull the trigger.
Yeah, but like we could now.
It wouldn't be, it would be stressful as shit.
But one day we are going to have to pull that.
that band-day don't that's going to be a crazy time where it's like all right here we go this is it
no back you're going to be seeing a lot of us at that point because we won't know what to do with
the extra free time just content cutting reels tick talks that's the only reason we don't we're not
that active on socials is because we have other jobs it's but we're getting there uh slowly but shirley
southern charm and yes it's getting messy everyone's involved in the mess which is what we want
We want this cast to be like this,
like a bunch of grown-up children,
just running rampant in Charleston.
So that's what we're getting.
The Sally Charlie Craig thing is fucking bizarre
in the best way possible.
Vanita,
although she's on the side of good.
She's moving weird now,
which was unexpected.
Wittner is dropping digs in there
about the other dudes.
I love that.
It's like the first time we ever had a responsible adult
in the male side.
of this show so that's going to be fun to watch yeah i mean we're not going to call whatever
craig was with page the responsible adult because obviously we have the benefit of hindsight
and we now know that was fake that wasn't real so as far as i got a lot to say about
craigory after his watch what happens live appearance oh my god dude did you see the promo too
where they're really leaning into the hot tub and he's like in his room which we were in that
room no big deal at all guys not a there's not a hot tub in that
room guys there's not a fucking hot tub in that room today it's all weird yeah it is a very small
room but they added an effect to make it look like he was in a hot tub so he's really leaning into it
which i was really hoping he wasn't my whole thing was all right i kind of get it maybe you can get
through this and we're just watching that change in front of us but it was you know seven months ago
when they were filming this as we know we actually got a timestamp memorial day weekends in this
episode we all we know it's may but i know that they typically start filling
in April. So it's like, okay, give him a couple of months. It's going to be messy. It's going to
be okay. He's got to be better now. No, he's leading into the hot tub thing. So it sounds like
nothing has changed. Yeah, we got a lot to say about Craig this episode. And never thought
I'd say this. This episode sorely missed Austin. I know. I know. And look, let's get into it so we
can we can discuss it as we as we move through this. Because don't worry, I'm going to talk about
sobriety again guys because god damn it he went on watch what happens live and that was this week
so it is current so we'll have one more conversation you know i didn't actually really get to watch
the watch what happens live because it wasn't available on peacock right away like i couldn't just
scroll right into it i would have had to go all the way out i would have had to go all the way out to the
menu to find watch what happens live and play it and it's too many extra steps for me i can't do that
don't don't don't emboldened them you're the only person that's like oh this is a good idea
they're going to be like, see somebody likes it.
Let's keep doing it.
Let's do it with every show.
Southern Charm, they're not doing it yet.
This guy with a platform actually does like it.
Maybe he'll push it.
You'll know if I really start pushing this.
Actually, no, you might not be able to figure out if it's just a bit because it could just be a bit.
But if I really start pushing it, you can ask questions about whether or not Bravo is paying me to do that.
Oh, if they pay us, it's the best idea ever.
No, not.
We're not above bribes.
We've, we've said that to you guys.
We've been honest about that for years.
We've yet to receive an offer, but thingies crossed that we're going to enter the fold with an under-the-table paycheck from somebody.
Under the table, something.
Yeah, give me something.
You want me to promote this bullshit, trying to shoehorn and watch what happens live to boost ratings.
That was my favorite on that video I posted.
People were like, well, it's to boost ratings.
No shit.
You're kidding.
Welcome to the party, pal.
Yeah.
What?
Anywho, let's dive in.
We start out with Patricia and Madison just talking about, you know, they always do this at some point in the season a couple of times.
You get a run through of where we're at right now.
She is 10 weeks away from giving birth and she gives Ms. Pat the run through of what the group's doing right now, Craig, Sally and Charlie, the love triangle of it all, the hot tub hangouts to which Ms. Patricia has a good point.
yes sex and hot tubs that's gross you're correct i don't think sex and bodies of water is is hygienic
so to speak and as madison points out later this house sorely needs a woman's touch she was pointing out
the lack of umbrellas i was pointing out the how often is that pole cleans and he's been using
that hot tub a lot how often do you think that gets cleaned i know that he's he's got money so he
probably does pay people to come out and do it but craig is such a especially for his back
backyard, a do-it-yourself kind of guy, that he's probably doing that and thinking that he's
doing a good job, but not doing a good job.
And he's got Corey over there all the time.
Like, that thing has to be riddled with whatever the fuck Corey's got going on.
Oh, yeah.
Of Corey's in there, it's just a stew of God knows what.
Yeah, fucking little girls' t-shirts.
But yeah, so I don't know.
I was skeved out by that one.
What?
You didn't catch that Wittner comment?
No, I did.
It just the way that you said it.
It's just I don't like that.
I don't like that.
uh but anyway i would to his credit i would imagine he seems because he's so obsessed with
his image i would imagine there's guys there three times it's probably overly cleaned
honestly i wouldn't think it'd be dirty just because every single thing needs to be prim proper
got to look the part got to sell the martha stewart thing but the underlying thing of with
crag most people that are actually close to craig that care about great he's
even Madison who's pissed off at Craig,
they're worried about Craig.
And like when I do talk about the sobriety thing about Craig this episode,
I'm going to be my last time for my own sake
because you guys think that like it really does get under my skin.
And it's not just because of him.
It's just in general.
The shit gets under my skin.
So for my mental health,
I'm going to talk about it in a different way today with a different approach.
Sarcastic?
No, sympathetic.
Try that route.
Try that.
And then I'm going to stop, though.
Then I'm done commenting on it unless some real shit pops off because it's, it's not good for me.
And what if I'm sarcastic?
What if I'm like, oh, that's a great idea, bro.
You just keep on going.
You, that's fine.
I trust your judgment when it comes to recovery, you know more than most people that haven't dealt with it.
So I defer to you.
That's okay.
You've earned your badge.
I don't know if we want to do that, though, because I don't know where my limit is with those
jokes and i'll let you know because you know well you've said those jokes to me like i'm sure at
some point but we no no no with crag it would be like i don't know man i don't think you're
going hard enough have you considered uh black tar heroin have you considered waking up and drinking
immediately yeah yeah uh great times great times anyway jack and craig are setting up the party
uh jack's a little sassy for an assistant i like jack a lot i like jack too i know he's
He doesn't need somebody in his life that's going to be sassy.
I mean, I guess that's kind of what he had with Page.
I don't think he's going to do the same thing with Jack unless they're having sex and we don't know about it.
But with Jack, just a little level of sass just to let him know.
Like, I don't know, man.
This is kind of weird.
I don't know what you're up to.
You keep bringing up ideas and they all kind of suck.
Oh, cool.
Like everything he said was slightly sarcastic.
Yeah, we're going to get to Pinoleotipine.
Great.
Oh, that got a new volume on there.
Oh, cool.
Yeah, whatever.
And we should power watch this.
Even later, he was like, yeah, even later with the Pinia colada with the slushy machine,
he's like, uh, instructions are actually pretty easy.
I mean, I don't really dump, you dump liquid in, you turn it on, put the setting on.
Okay.
They didn't turn it on nearly early enough.
How many fucking I'm five hours before?
I know.
And like, I know that and I haven't even worked the slushy machine.
It just makes sense.
But if I have to hear one more fucking time that the peanut clodas aren't actually frozen,
and I'm going to lose my brain.
My brain.
She's going to fly out of my head.
Yeah.
Who cares at that point?
Just drinking.
He cares because Charlie cares, but yeah.
I do love that he has to double down.
Like, I'm good at making drinks, all right?
It just didn't freeze.
That's sympathetic today.
Today I'm sympathetic steel.
That's right, right, right, right.
Now, we got two things from this.
One, he is, he's keen on Charlie, as we've seen.
And we've talked about it.
them together. They seem cute. They seem to
vibe pretty well. And
the P. Nicolades are for Charlie. And he
acknowledges that she's helping take his mind off
a page. When he's hanging out with Charlie, he's not
thinking about page. So that's good. That's
a step in the right direction. It's not
good for Charlie because that tells me
rebound. That just has rebound written all
over it. But as far as Greg does, at least
he's not thinking about Paige. He's able
to move forward a little bit. And
he's getting bottles of something
as like a grand gesture
for Austin.
spoiler he doesn't show up but he doesn't show up yeah which those are both fine like that's okay fine
like we're trending relatively positive i guess yeah i mean that whole conversation when he's
talking about charlie i i had the same sentiment that you did i feel bad for charlie because i don't
think that she understands that she's a rebound i think she thinks that sally is the rebound and then
she's going to be the one that he lands on and she's in a weird spot but at least she's talking to us through
it doesn't make a whole lot of sense but at least she's talking through it because in my mind
that would be such a red flag if he's all over sally and then you're around that he's all over
you but sally's still all over him like i would try to remove myself from that situation entirely
and i know that she tries to equate it to how many guys are in charleston how small the town it is
we have to hear this 15 20 times a season yeah it's the charleston effect again yeah we already
understands that but i would be trying to remove myself from that situation because it's very
uncomfortable and it's going to put you in a bad spot, which is going to play out very well
on TV, so don't move or remove yourself. But, you know, real world logistics, try to remove
yourself from it. I do think, honestly, Sally was the first step. Charlie's going to be the
rebound girlfriend's date, like serious dating. And then he's going to move on and he's going to
find somebody that nobody's ever heard of that isn't on the show, some girl that he's going to
pull, he's going to pull Madison, find somebody in Arizona or something. And then just date her
very privately. I think that is what's probably best for him.
If he remains on the show, it's going to be very interesting, though, because the rest of the guys and the girls that he's been talking about it, he's been talking to Austin about Audrey.
If she doesn't want to be on the show and he doesn't want her on the show, this is just an entire situation I've played out in my head.
He's going to be in hot water and then he's going to either leave the show or just take it on the chin and then it's going to be a mess.
So either way, I think we both view Charlie as the same way.
It's going to be a rebound girl.
It's a rebound. It's okay, though, because he's talking about it.
And that gives us perspective on where his head is.
And I do think we got some of that in this episode, because he is still talking about how he's still, you know, reeling from page and he doesn't really know how to move on and he doesn't understand where his head's at.
And he sees Charlie as someone that can take his mind off of page, which, correct.
Not the most romantic way to put how you're trying to court a girl, but it does tell us where you are.
Like, you're still reeling from this.
And that's okay.
But that's the first that we've really heard that from him.
That's why I entered this episode with a little more.
more sympathy to the matter because he's talking about some stuff.
It gives perspective a little bit.
We'll get there.
We will get there.

episodes every Wednesday and Friday.
But Vanita facetimes Austin to check in on him.
I like Venita.
We talk about that.
We talk about that for years.
Is this a genuine, hey, how you doing?
Or is this, I don't like Craig.
And I'm going to call Austin to further get away from like team.
Is she trying to emboldened Austin to be mad at Craig more?
Or is this actually, hey, I'm just calling to check on you?
this is the enemy of my enemy is my friend we've never seen austin and vina together on screen by themselves we used to say that too when we were really pining for vina to take charge of her role in the group to have some sort of central role in the group it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense and we've said that before we've never seen vina with a one-on-one scene with craig we've never seen benedda with a one-on-one scene with shep or austin it's always just madison and now it's always just sally
Madison. It's always one of the girls that has to, like, sit with Vanita, talk to her about
whatever's going on. We've never seen that kind of crossover. So this was bizarre. This was like
a jump scare. And we know exactly what this is. This is, hey, you're in a weird place with Craig.
I've been in a weird place with Craig and no one's fucking listening to me. Yes, Rodriguez is listening
to me. Yes, Sally knows that I have in a weird place with Craig. But you're also in a weird
place and this just jumped off last week. Maybe we could be friends and just kind of bond over our
hatred of Craig right now.
And I think that they're both in that place where they're okay with that,
but it's still very awkward and very weird.
And they're trying to tell us it's not that weird.
We talk all the time.
Come on, guys.
Yeah, I don't know.
And like, I don't have an issue with it at all.
It was just kind of like, oh, interesting.
Yeah, like, what's the goal here?
What's the end game?
Is it simply a check in like, hey, man, we can link up and be a team now because we're
both anti- Craig or is it just like no one else is calling Austin.
Austin's not answering anyone else's call.
So maybe he'll answer mine.
I don't know.
But, I mean, it was nice.
It was nice that you called to check on him.
And he talks about Shep and he gave him a call.
We get like a little cutscene of them on the phone.
And he did that all on purpose.
Understandably so.
He's like, I knew this would fuck up, Shep.
I knew he'd be a mess.
So I called him vented.
We talked.
You can see Shep like Shep genuinely cares about Austin.
Shep loves Austin.
Sheep wants to be cool with Austin.
He doesn't want to do things like tell Craig.
It's just like inherent.
he gets information and he just spreads it you know he even said it he said it so eloquently last
episode where it's like yeah we get this information then we log it and we tear each other down
with it it's a bad system so i'm glad that we're able to reunite those two because i was getting
bummed out for ship that he kept getting lumped in with craig like to the level of what
craig did as he said he's like look i was a small part but i was still a part in it i'm very sorry
I hope that they can move forward
and that that's the end of it for them
so that we can just focus on
are Craig and Austin going to reunite
because we are going to reach a point
because that
that friendship is so visceral,
like visceral reactions to everything.
It's always such a blow up.
They're going to have to get to a point
where they're able to be cordial
where this is not going to happen
every time that they're in a group setting and partying
because at some point,
it's going to get tired.
Like we're going to be tired
It's like, here we go.
They're the fucking freak out.
So either somebody needs to leave the show or we need to be able to be cordial, minimum.
So I'm hoping that in this season, that's what we talked about, episode one.
It seems like this season is teed up to be the culmination of Austin and Craig over the years.
Like we're going to bring it to a head.
But I guess given what we've seen so far, it's a lot more of the same.
I'm not confident that we're going to get there.
Yeah, I'm not really confident.
They just took a picture together, by the way, had it's like one year anniversary
or something, Charleston, but that could be simply business.
Yeah, but I mean, we've already seen a business, so to speak, fall apart between the two
of them because they have so many issues, they headbutt all the time, that podcast fell apart
very quickly and on screen.
When it comes to Shep, unfortunately for Shep and we both feel bad for him, especially
after last episode, he's just a chess piece.
He's a strategy.
And I don't even know if Austin realizes he's doing this, but by keeping Shep at arm's
length by ignoring his calls and making him feel worse.
he's going to put Shep in a position
where now he's going to go to bat for Austin.
Now he's going to go over to Craig
and feel weird that he's only talking to Craig
and when they start talking about Austin,
he's going to have Austin's back a little bit
just because he got a taste of what it's like
to be on Austin shit list and he doesn't like it.
I would say that Shep loves Craig and Austin equally
and he doesn't want to be in the middle.
He doesn't want to be the child of divorced parents.
That's something that really haunts him.
But I don't think that cordiality is going to be an end goal here.
Their friendship is so entwined, it's so weird and so incestuous that they'll never be able to get to a point where it's just cordial for longer than a night or two.
They're always going to be in each other's lives, whether they like it or not.
So I think that, yeah, cordiality could be a step.
Like, let's get to a point where we could be at the same party and not fight, but they're going to eventually have to have a tough conversation.
And we'll probably see that later in the season, I would imagine.
It's just never going to be a place where it's like, oh, yeah, I just saw Austin.
I'll remember when we used to be friends, they're just two in each other's lives for that to happen.
I agree.
I agree.
I don't know.
It's going to be interesting to see.
It's just from a show standpoint, at what point is it just too much to try to wrangle these two in together to film?
Is that going to be a problem?
Are they going to be able to mend this bridge?
I don't know.
That's an impossible choice, by the way, for producers.
Absolutely.
I mean, if you're looking at this show and they can't film together, we've seen this in the Housewives world a lot.
They try to force, try to force, try to force.
it just doesn't work look at jersey i mean the jersey fell apart it was one of the top franchises
they couldn't film that anymore because it just got to be too much on a show like this you can't
pick between austin and craig you just have to pick whichever one wants to volunteer a little bit more
whichever one wants to show a little bit more of their lives i don't know who that's going to be
because it's it's an absolute toss up between the two of them so i don't really know where we go
if we're going to have such animosity towards each other moving forward obviously we can live in it
we've been sort of living in it for a couple of seasons.
But if it keeps going this way and it's two,
three seasons down the line,
it might get to that point where we have to make a choice.
Well,
it's giving Melissa and Teresa,
you know,
as you just said,
but it's reaching that level of volatility where it's like,
eesh,
you know,
it's just going to come to blows at some point.
There's somebody going to swing on somebody
because it's getting to that level where it's not sarcastic jabs,
sarcastic jabs,
it's sarcastic jabs,
big blow up big adverse reaction now they're in each other's faces it's like eish this could go south
in a hurry i don't know so we will see i do think they're going to try to make that the point of
this season is bringing these two together obviously so we'll see how that goes now molly what
an onion just keep peeling back the layers that that are molly because obviously she's very
musically talented we know she plays the euphonium and other instruments she's a great singer
she's like writing a song with i don't know who that man was i didn't see the the nameplate
but she's writing a song with it's a keith okay there you go i didn't know yeah i only know keith
because she said his name 15 times to her dad which by the way the biggest dad move of all time
you know keith we've talked about keith i don't fucking know who you're talking about come on it's
keith who i did the song with oh that keith i love keith it's so funny to watch that because that is
the atypical dad i did not know this about molly and a lot of people online
are saying Southern Charm has won the sing-off because we're always pitting Southern Charm against Summerhouse.
If you're going to put Molly up against Jesse Solomon, there is no chance in hell anybody's
picking Jesse Sullivan.
No, because she is very good at singing one and two, not in your face about it.
And she's just like, eesh, I want to try this, but like, I'm a little, it's the first time on Bravo
that we've seen somebody with any, like, a modicum of singing talent, not be like, I'm writing
an album now.
I am a singer.
I am going to win a Grammy.
So because she's good at it and because she's mellow about it, I'm rooting for.
I'm like, I want to hear you sing actually.
And I never say that.
So good job, Molly.
Now let's get the Sally and Charlie in a very strange scene, I thought.
I thought this was weird.
So they're baking a coffee cake.
And that's because it was Sally's grandmother's recipe and her birthdays next week.
Grandma passed away.
So it's in memoriam kind of thing, which is sweet.
But I immediately clocked what this was.
This is marking territory, is what we're doing here.
And you can tell that by what was said during these conversations, because the chickens is the first step, right?
Well, you'll be able to walk out back and get some eggs fresh, which you know I'm a big advocate for chicken coops in residential neighborhoods.
That being said, that was just a segue to say, Craig and I are going to pick out chickens.
you're just trying to set it up like yeah we're already doing like boyfriend girlfriend stuff so like maybe back off it is that and it's also sally is still just so confused and she's trying everything in her power to get craig to have sex with her and once they have sex she feels like she's in we're good everything goes back to the hot tub he didn't make a move on me what the fuck is going on he seems to like me but he doesn't want to have sex with me maybe if i do some boyfriend girlfriend shit with him and i just try to for
the issue will eventually get there it's not going to work it's just it's not going to work and
it's it's downright embarrassing i mean this was one of sally's more embarrassing episodes in the
end of the episode was unbelievable i had i had a physical reaction to that oh dude i yeah i vomited
in my mouth when she said that but in this scene this is bizarre and it shows you the difference
between sally and and uh oh my god i've just charlie thank you it shows you the difference between
Sally and Charlie
because Charlie's sitting over there
telling her you live across the street
from Awengan's go get your own fucking eggs
like what are we doing here
Charlie's not going to bend the need to Craig
this is what Craig would want however
if you just base it off of dating history
Craig doesn't want someone that's just going to do
all of the things that he wants to do
he needs somebody that's going to tell him
what to do yes I do think that
the whole Martha Stewart lifestyle
is sort of stemming from sewing down
under and all of these other things
but it wasn't going to
Yeah, sewing down south.
He actually does have a franchise in Australia.
He didn't hear about that one.
That's his Sydney store.
Yeah, my bad.
Yeah.
But Charlie's not going to do that.
And I think that's why Craig likes Charlie more because she's not moldable.
Like, yeah, you can do a couple of things here and there.
But she's not going to immediately say, oh, I should get chickens because you have chickens.
Will you come pick out the chickens?
Like, Sally will have a beehive chickens, some fucking weird flowers and stuff.
stuff like pillows all over and then Craig will be done with her and then she's just stuck with
all of these things and they'll just go by the wayside that's where we're going to go and i already
see that the writing is already on the wall whereas charlie there's a little bit more interest there
there's a little bit of flirting here and there but she's got her own thing going on that could
actually work so all of us watching at home we're like god damn it sally this is embarrassing to
watch like just stop stop like you're putting yourself in a terrible position you're going to lose
all of your friends for what so you can have sex with Craig and his hot tub while cool your
Corey watches. I mean, what are we doing here? Yeah, I agree. And like, I'm not trying to
shit on her. Like, I'm not saying, I am like, no, I know. But like, I get what she's doing. I guess
she's confused. I get that it's a lot that she's trying to do here. But yes, the way she's going
about it is just cringy as shit. And it's like, dude, you don't see the writing on the wall.
If you do boink, right? It's not out of the realm of possibility.
one night it happens that's it he's done and then he's going to hang out with charlie and he's
going to date her probably she's the rebound dater but it doesn't matter like that's you see the
pieces being set up it's like okay fun night with sally back on the horse quote unquote all right
so now he's getting back out there now that he's comfortable then he takes charlie on a date date
and then they start dating a little bit like that's what i see coming from this love triangle i don't
see it going the way Sally wants to.
And yes, as you said, it's just kind of embarrassing to watch because now you're
marking territory for this imaginary boyfriend you have to Charlie, who's playing it cool
as you're sitting there on the couch.
And she's like, you know, if Craig made a move, like I'd probably do something.
Like, I don't know what's going to happen with Craig.
You know that Charlie's into him as well.
If you're going to have this weird love triangle, it would be much better for both of you
if you just don't ask, don't tell kind of thing.
Like, we're just not going to talk about this.
we know what's going on eventually he'll pick somebody maybe and then we can move like from there
but this what you're doing now is you're trying to tell charlie without telling her he's mine back
off and another plus in the category for charlie is she plays it cool she understands what's going to
happen she doesn't want to show at least to sally that she's interested in Craig yes she's going
to have those one-on-one scenes but she'll deal with that later she'll learn but when it comes down
to the two of them discussing.
You've already had a pretty heated conversation with Sally.
Granted, you were drinking.
It was a little bit later in the night and it was at a party.
But Sally is coming to you and telling you, you can tell me if you're into Craig.
No, you can't.
You simply cannot because she will go after you.
That is not what that means at all.
Do not take that for truth because it's not.
You just, you don't want to be in that situation.
So by sitting there and just guessing her along and then kind of like rolling your eyes without
rolling your eyes is kind of the violence.
by God from Charlie. It's just tough to watch. We all know what you're doing. Charlie knows what you're
doing in that moment. And Craig doesn't give a shit. Craig could not care less about how you feel and what
happens between you and Charlie at the end of the day. He now sees Charlie as a potential dating
prospect. He's going to put you away. He's just going to shoo you away. And those late nights in the
hot tub are going to go away very quickly and he's going to start really dating Charlie. Then his personality
is going to change. He's not going to be in the hot tub until 4 a.m. He's not going to be drinking at the bar
that much he's going to be hanging out with Charlie that might not work out i don't see that actually
working out but you'll quickly see how how very quickly he's going to change and they talk about molly
briefly and that whole situation so i was like vina had molly's back i was no shit because you have
cred's back what are you talking about why would she have your back in that scenario she's also friends
with molly by the way and you're wrong in the molly's you're the one that started this whole thing
So, of course, she's going to have Molly's back.
That's a no-brainer.
Like, it is fascinating to watch how she views situations, especially later.
I do think that the Sally and Molly issue is a little bit more deep-rooted.
And I don't think that we've seen the things that Molly has said because they did have that sit down at the end of Wittner's party where they both agreed, like, stop talking shit on me.
And Molly has said, I've been talking shit on you.
We've only seen little clips here and there where it's like, well,
She's not really talking shit.
She's just telling other people what you've said, which was problematic to begin with.
But I think there's more there.
The way we're viewing Molly and the way that the producers are filming Molly, she's a sweet, innocent girl who's just kind of caught up in this and just sees wrongdoing and reports it.
I think there's more there.
I really do.
And I'm okay with that, by the way, because as you said, Molly's an onion.
I guarantee you there is way more to Molly than meets the eye.
And she probably is talking shit on Sally.
And that's fine.
this is the first time in years that we've had an actually good girl fight because in the past
like a couple of years what have we had to deal with taylor like no that's never going to actually
hit this is good because we're drawing everybody in benita mollie sally charlie everybody's
kind of involved in this mess and this is a good look for a show that usually just highlights bad
guy behavior yeah yeah exactly it's nice to spread the wealth you know what i mean so let's get to
Craig's party, the big Memorial Day bash, and Shep arrives first, and Austin is immediately
the topic of conversation. Then Shep lets him know, like, yeah, I talked to him on the phone.
Like, he's upset, but, you know, he's also not coming to the party. He's in Charlotte.
Craig doesn't know that yet as they're starting to talk about things. And this is Craig's
biggest issue is, it's always, yeah, but, because he says, I wish I didn't freak out.
You know, I will apologize again, but he's just jealous.
that negates everything you said.
Yeah.
Jealous of what?
And he's jealous so he takes that on me.
You're still holding fast to the fact that you think he's jealous of your lifestyle,
that you're single, that you're hanging out in hot tub until 4 a.m.
Rewind a year.
You said the same.
So which one is it?
Is he jealous of the stable relationship, the money, the business, or is he jealous of single party?
You said now that he's just jealous of.
you, period. And I don't believe that. People in the comments have said,
they, oh, he's just jealous. I don't believe that for a second. I don't think he's
jealous of Craig. I really do think that there's so much confusion from Austin. I think that
there could be some jealousy mixed in there. But I do think that the most. I don't think
it's just fueled. Yeah, exactly. I think the foundation is confusion. And I would be confused,
too. If we had a close friend who you saw all the time and you do have to contractually obligated
to go see somebody, you're going to be confused.
The amount of life changes that Craig has had, even over the last couple of years, is insane.
I mean, before he started dating page in the beginning of dating page, he was some sort of well-balanced.
Yeah, I'm going to go out and party.
Page is up in New York.
I'm going to hang out with you guys here, but I'm not cheating on her.
And it's like, okay, that could be an actual goal for Craig is to be able to do both because he wants to do both.
He wants both things.
He wants a stable relationship and he wants to be able to party.
You don't have to choose one or the other.
As long as you can maintain that, you'll be okay.
And I think he did a good job of doing that early on,
but then he realized very quickly he gets himself into hot water when he's drinking.
So he got rid of all of that.
And then he was just this stay-at-home dad, essentially, that took care of his garden.
And that's what he thought he needed to be for Paige.
Clearly it wasn't because Paige moved on from you.
So he's confused too.
But when it's Austin's perspective, he's so confused by all of the life changes
and how quickly they happen.
And there's no explanation.
Craig will not sit down with anybody and say what he said to Madison a little bit later.
He won't sit down with anybody, any of the guys, and say, look, this is a confusing time for me.
He'll say it in his confessional, but it would go so far if he sat down with Austin and tried to explain it.
I don't think he has a grasp on what he's going through.
But if you just say, I don't have a grasp on what's going on, and I'm really confused,
and I'm just trying to work my way through it, and it would be nice to just have the support of my friends.
I think Austin would be okay.
And if not, then you can at least point in Austin to be like,
dude you know i'm going through it you know i'm trying to figure shit out keep the comments to yourself
i think that would be fine and it would go a long way with the people that are watching it would go a
long way with the people in the group i think even some of the outliers like vanita who have
issues with you would at least understand it to some level and they wouldn't be as upset with you
but because you lack that i need to explain what i'm doing and when you try to get down that road
you end it with i don't have to explain anything in my life it's my life if you don't have a problem
with it, that's great. If you do have a problem with it, keep it to yourself. That doesn't
work, especially in such a tight-knit community and such a tight-knit group like this.
Yeah, and on top of that, I think that that'll never happen because that's admitting weakness to
Austin in his mind. And he never wants to seem like he is lesser than Austin. That is the
driving force behind their relationship is I hold the cards because look at my life, look at yours.
That's why he's flipping the script now and saying, you're just jealous of me again now that I'm
single you were jealous before when i had a girlfriend you're jealous now because i'm single it's always
in his head he's here austin's here and it's always been that way especially when he started gaining
some success now it's even further moved that spectrum to where austin's all the way down here so no he
can't go up to him and say hey man i'm going through it i don't know what's going on because that's admitting
he doesn't have it all together and he can't let austin know that he doesn't have his shit together that
It would be a huge, huge mistake in his mind, which is the opposite.
You're right.
Austin would resonate with that.
We saw that when you faked it last year and did it on the beach with your quote-unquote alcohol problem.
So that's what you were doing with that conversation is finally getting to that point.
I mean, it was fake as shit, but you tried.
That's what Austin wants.
That's what Shep wants you to do.
Shep says it in so many words.
He's like, all Austin wants is for him to say, I'm sorry for the last year and a half.
and admit you were wrong.
Admit you were wrong.
You were making all these bold claims about your lifestyle saying that this is the right way to do it.
This is what I want.
You guys should fall in line, take a note from me.
Shit fell apart with Paige and you went right back.
So Austin's confused.
You fucking yelled at me about this stuff for a year.
And now you're doing the same shit that you were yelling at me about.
So I don't understand what you want.
I don't understand what you want for me.
This friendship, I don't think you know what you want for yourself.
So it's like all of those things play into.
like you said,
Austin is living in confusion.
This is 99% confusion
with maybe 1% of jealousy sprinkled in.
And that's,
I think that's even too much jealousy sprinkled in.
But that's what I think is going on.
Now,
when he finds out he's not coming to the party
because he's in Charlotte,
this was the dumbest reaction ever.
Like he throws a fit.
He throws a temper tantrum.
He's like,
what do you mean?
He's not coming.
He's never gone to Charlotte midweek.
He barely visits.
or anymore anyway, that stuff.
It happens so fast.
And then you go from zero to a thousand and now you're throwing shit out there that
Audrey's going to see.
We know they broke up, but imagine if they didn't.
And now he's sitting there saying on camera, he told me he doesn't want to marry this
girl.
Why are you doing that?
This was set in confidence with one of your close friends.
This is exactly what Shep was talking about.
This is exactly what Austin was talking about.
That right there.
You're not even drunk yet and you're doing this shit.
So we don't know that he's not drunk yet.
Yeah, and that's a good point.
And that's the other thing.
It's like now we have all this this room to speculate where it's like, well,
what are you doing before that we start filming?
What is going on?
Because Craig of old, we've seen the clips.
We've seen the shows.
You were drunk frequently.
So now am I saying you are?
No.
But there's a question mark.
And I don't think you want that.
I don't think that's in keeping with this new image that you're trying to put together.
But here we are watching going, shit, he's pretty gas.
up already he's getting pretty pissed and we know when he drinks he gets pissed were you having a
couple of mimososos before the party like what what are you doing maybe i mean it was such a character
changed too because like you said in the beginning of the conversation it seemed like he had remorse
like yes yeah yeah but but he also did show some remorse for the things that he said he did say
even later to madison as soon as i said it i realized i couldn't get the genie back in the bottle now
that's not necessarily true because you did go on to say it about three more times so you didn't
immediately regret it. You regretted it probably the next day. You regretted it maybe a few
hours later in the hot tub. You started thinking about it. You're like, oh, fuck, maybe I shouldn't
have said that. Say that to Austin. You don't have to wait until Shep comes over. You don't have
to wait until you throw a party and you think everything's going to be fine. You can't get that
offended so quickly. Of course, Austin's not there. He hasn't talked to you. You haven't called him.
You haven't reached out. Shep has, and he finally did talk to him the day before, pretty much just
to say, yeah, man, I've been thinking a lot.
I don't really know what's going on.
I just, you know, I just don't want to be involved in all of that.
And I'm not coming to the party.
That's the reason why he called Shep.
So, of course, he's not going to be there.
Why would you think that he would be there?
I know that you guys like to think that you're in your 20s and you're filming a show.
Everybody's going to show up to all these events.
No, it's just simply not going to happen.
And again, take yourself back to a year and a half ago.
It would not be that uncommon if somebody was throwing a party and you had an issue with
someone, even a small issue, and you were up in New York visiting page.
I mean, yeah, you're up in New York visiting page all the time.
You had a schedule, but it still wouldn't be that weird if Austin was throwing a Memorial
Day party and you were up in New York.
And by the way, Austin might have a couple of comments, but he's not going to have that big
of a tantrum.
He's not going to immediately flip out and be like, you've got to be fucking kidding me.
It's not like they're going to get married or something.
Austin wouldn't do that to you.
You have this line that is so far higher than everybody else's, and yet you never
take it back. You never say
shit. That was really shitty of me
to say. You'll say it to Shep, but not to
Austin. And it doesn't make any sense today.
No, you'll say things like,
I just call it like I see it.
You know, I can tell when people are doing
what they don't want to do or whatever the fuck
you said at the... Whatever that was.

There are names that echo in the world of true crime, names that carry unanswered questions.
Oakley Carlson, a five-year-old girl who deserved safety, protection, in love. Yet the system
built to protect her failed and Oakley disappeared. Her community still calls her name.
Or Ellen Greenberg found in her locked apartment with 20 stab wounds. A case declared a suicide.
But how does a locked apartment tell two different stories at once? These are not just cases we have
covered. They are people. They were loved and they mattered. Their stories deserve to be told
with care, with depth, with truth. I'm Ashley. And I'm Ricky.
We are the husband and white duo behind Crime Salad.
Every week we uncover stories of the missing, the silence, the misunderstood.
We ask the questions that were left behind.
We refuse to let these stories be forgotten.
Because behind every case is a family holding on a community seeking answers
and a story that deserves to be heard.
We invite you to listen to Crime Salad.
Your healthy portion of true crime, wherever you get your podcasts.
The war is over and both sides lost.
Kingdoms were reduced to cinders and armies scattered like bones in the dust.
Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world, praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight.
But in the shadow dark, the darkness always wins.
This is old school adventuring at its most cruel.
Your torch ticks down in real time.
And when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the.
job. This is a brutal rules-light nightmare with a story that emerges organically based on the
decisions that the characters make. This is what it felt like to play RPGs in the 80s. And man,

Speaking of, Wittner arrives and he's like, yeah, I wouldn't have a pool party on a Wednesday.
I'm a grown up and I have a job.
So I'm going to take a call at 3.30 in there because we're doing this at 2 o'clock on a Wednesday.
Great.
Awesome, guys.
So again, we haven't had the responsible grown up dude on this show.
So that's going to be fun.
I'm happy because also, yes, he's like responsible adult.
he's also very entertaining.
So good addition thus far.
I'm really liking Wittner.
Yeah, I like Whitner just kind of blending into the Molly and Rodrigo side of things.
It's a great place to me.
Even though Molly's involved right now, you're not really involved, but you do get to watch
everything unfold and your opinion will be asked of you at certain times.
Just live in there for especially your first season, maybe even do it for your second season.
Just see how things go.
And then eventually you will get involved in things.
But right now you're in a great place.
And he's really performing very well.
Yeah, great spot for Wittner.
Now, Charlie, Sally, they arrive.
Everyone's talking, and Charlie and Sally start to walk off and Sally heightails it after him.
Ooh, I'm coming to the bar too.
Ooh, stop it.
Ooh, chill out.
Ooh, talk to somebody else for a while.
Come on, bro.
It just reeks of desperate.
Like, stop it.
I'm sorry.
And, like, I would say this about a dude chasing after a girl.
I would say it about anybody.
Like, this, it's a bad look.
And I am pretty certain you're watching this back going, oh, fuck, that sucks.
There's no way that you're watching this going, yeah, that was a good move.
Proud of that one.
No, I, this is how I actually view Sally watching this now because I'm assuming this is how it played out.
He eventually does move on from Sally and focuses all of his attention on Charlie.
she's looking at this with so much disgust like I should have seen this I knew that he was moving on he betrayed me she betrayed me there were signs all over the place yeah I can't believe that I did that like yeah maybe deep down she's like wow I was a fool for doing that but she's still blaming them she's not playing it's good point there's no way that's a really good point I think that's exactly what's going to happen Madison arrives and points out like it's pretty obvious the page hasn't been here this is lacking the woman's touch and it does a scan
of the pool and despite his his long preamble about throwing parties and how he's graduated
from frat parties to adult parties he is back to frat parties page had evolved the parties
i guess because there's like american eagle floats and you know just dude stuff i we would
have fun there for sure i was i was completely fine with the party set up by the way he did
have bartenders he had a full bar set up he had food it's not like he expected people to bring
their own food or anything like that.
I was okay with it.
It was good.
No, it was fine.
It was a dude adult party.
But yeah.
Yes.
I think I was a little surprised that he didn't have umbrellas because I do remember distinctly
him and Page setting up umbrellas to like lay under.
And discussing the umbrellas as well, I believe.
So maybe he just, you think maybe he burned an effigy for page.
And part of that was the umbrellas.
The umbrellas.
He left the volleyball net up there for two years with those.
water in there, just stinking it up.
Because Page filled those up.
Yeah.
That's page water.
I can't pour that out.
Yeah.
Oh, God.
Anywho, the Molly saga,
the Molly Sally saga,
adds another wrinkle to that one
because she's talking to Vanita and Rod.
And she's like, I heard that
Sally's been talking shit about my JJ.
Like, what the fuck's going on here?
I guess Vanita had told
Sally that Molly had gotten reconstructive surgery on her JJ, so that's what we call it in
this house.
And somehow that got back to Sally, which is weird that Molly would tell Vanita and Vanita
would take it to Sally and Rod points that.
He's like, that's fucking weird.
Molly says the same thing.
It is pretty fucking weird.
Like, you know how she moves.
Why would you tell her that?
She's like, well, I didn't say it.
It doesn't matter how you say it.
You know she's going to take that and run with it, which she does.
and I want to believe
with the Pinky Promise that we're moving on
but these are the weird things out of Anita
like shit like this where you're like
why are you why did you do that
and like she does a couple other things
this episode we're like why are you
doing that like you're doing so well
and then you do shit like that and I have to
I have to question it yeah
you can't really be
you know a woman scorned
when you've got some skeletons in the closet
especially with somebody like Sally
because once that starts to dissolve
and you guys are at odds, especially while Sally's chasing after Craig, any opportunity
that Sally has, she's going to use that.
She's going to say something.
I do, it's kind of weird because I'm wrestling with it.
I like that she copped to it right away.
And she didn't have to.
She could have just blamed Sally entirely and said, wow, I don't know where she got that
from.
Charleston is a small town.
I don't know if you know this.
But people be talking.
People talk about things.
And there's reliable sources everywhere you look.
So the fact that she did cop to it.
say, well, it was me that heard it and I told Sally, but I didn't expect her to then use it
against you.
It puts you in hot water instantly, but it is the best move possible because you didn't do that
and it will come back to haunt you if you don't do this right now.
So I do like that she at least did that.
But it is a little unpromising to see her and Sally, you know, two months prior to this sitting
down talking shit on somebody like Molly.
Like you don't need to be, who cares at the end of the day?
And maybe this is a dude thing, but like, I don't.
don't give a fuck if you get vaginal reconstruction.
Like,
that's good for you.
Rejuvenation.
Yeah, whatever it might be.
Go ahead.
It's your body.
Go ahead and do whatever the hell you want.
It's not going to bother me.
But the talking and the gossiping is something that we haven't really seen out of
the needle before.
So I was a little turned off by that.
But again,
she got me right back in because she did cop to it.
I like Rodriguez's reaction where Rodriguez's like, oh, so you're the one with the loose
lips.
You're the one out here just spreading rumors and gossip and all left them right, huh?
All right.
we'll keep our eye on you that's a good reaction great reaction and it's 70% serious 30% like
little jab but it's like yeah okay i'm clocking you now now i've got my eyes open and that's what rod
does that's what he does so well he just kind of stands in the back scans the situation
evaluates what's going on keeps it to himself that's the best part and then when people involved
come up to him he's like hey just so you know that just happened over there i'm not going to go
over there but you should probably go handle that it's great it's like you have a like an
offensive coordinator rod's the oc of of uh southern charm he's like here's what happened go get
him that kind of works yeah i'd love to be a fly on the wall or even just in the car ride home with
rod and tyler just discussing all the things that happened debrief the debrief with
ron tyler tyler like within 10 minutes of the rumor being confirmed about molly getting
her uh vaginal rejuvenation hey molly don't
put your vagina on this seat we don't want to do that here like that's funny so you know that
they've got some information and it seems like rod is the type of guy that gets the information
he knows about it he'll bring it up if it's pertinent if somebody else brings it up he'll be like oh
i heard that too and then immediately dispel whatever rumor it is or he'll be like yeah i heard it
from this person so he'll throw them under the bus he's in a great position because i know that he
knows more than he's letting on but he never shows his hand too soon and i love that but from him yeah he
he knows what he's doing he's got a very good system and i'm for it so vanita pulls sally
or sally comes inside vanita just says some shit to her where it's like hey be nice which is
a good reminder to sally yeah it's just the way that she did it i was like oh we're gonna get
into this in the kitchen sallie what the fuck do you mean what do you mean be nice i'm nice to have
just be nice to me be nice to other people just be nice dude molly's in there and molly takes it upon
herself to kind of get involved
with the whole thing. And she's like, yeah, I heard you've been talking
about my JJ. And what the fuck?
She's like, I haven't done that.
Unfortunately, we saw the clip of you doing
that. So that's
also one thing that really bothers
me with Sally.
It's never what it
seems like with her. No, no, that's not.
Yeah, it is. Like, you do a lot
of favors. I don't care if you're messy.
That's not a problem. If you cop to it,
I could, you could be doing
the same shit you're doing right now.
changing nothing other than acknowledging what's happening it's night and day from how we're reviewing
this show if that was the case like fuck it good yeah like go back to the party go back to witness party
the week prior if she immediately said i'm not really marking my territory but i'm going to flirt with
every single guy here fine at least if you own it that's great but playing dumb and acting like
you're not doing what you're doing or just having weird like minor
I don't know, ignorance, if you want to call it that way, is stupid.
It never plays out that.
Like, people will stop telling you things.
People will stop getting involved with you if you're going to do this.
If you're going to just deny, deny, deny, deny.
There's cameras everywhere.
This isn't your first season.
You understand how this works.
You're way more involved this year, but still, this isn't how this works.
Don't you find it interesting that her first appearance on Bravo was with Joe Bradley on Southern Hospitality?
Yeah.
Now, Charleston's very small.
No, I understand that, but that's, it just adds more context to, it's like,
this seems like a long game plan that you've had in some capacity to, which is fine.
Again, by the way, we have no issue with people trying to get on these shows.
I think that's the dumbest trope out there when people get upset with that.
You now have, for both of these shows for Summer House and Southern Charm, you have,
I don't want to call Southern Hospitality the minors, but you can graduate to the other show.
If you play well enough and you just kind of age out a little bit,
and I feel bad using that term.
But if you age out of Southern Hospitality,
you can find a home on Southern Charm.
There's nothing wrong with that.
It's filmed in the same city.
You don't even have to move.
You already know these people.
It works really well.
And that's a great setup by Bravo,
but also it's a great setup for anybody on these shows.
And obviously, Sally just kind of did that.
We even said, you know, for a couple of people,
I think we said it about Taylor,
which, you know, she's not even on Southern Charm or anything.
I still think she'd be fine if she was on Southern Hospital.
She would because she has a relationship with like T.J.
She has a relationship with Brad.
She knows all those people.
So she would fit in fine.
And that works for a lot of people down in Charleston.
So I have no problem with that at all.
If this was Sally's long game and she ended up getting on Southern Charm, now she's
taking a bigger role, maybe slow down a little bit.
You're already here.
Like you can still have fun.
You do not need to attach yourself to Craig.
I don't think that the Craig thing is show centric.
I think the Craig thing is, I need this man to be obsessed with me centric.
And it's not working out.
and now I'm going crazy.
So just pump the brakes a little bit.
You're good.
You're not going to get cast away right now.
No, you're going to.
I think that's the biggest thing, like where the frustration comes in.
Because, yes, you're going to be fine.
You're not a bad cast member, by the way.
Like, you're doing fine, not the way you want to be.
Like, you're doing well on the show for entertainment purposes,
but probably not in the way that you want to be doing well on this show.
You're doing well because we're stunned at what we're watching that it's like, oh, God, oh, no, please stop, but don't stop.
There's a home for you here somewhere.
And I'm, like, we don't just, that's actually a big compliment because there's plenty of people that we shit on like this and we're like, just get them the fuck out of here.
They don't fit.
This doesn't work.
That's not the case with Sally.
She fits in.
No.
You work on the show.
Well, on the show.
Yeah.
There's a spot for you here.
And you just need to have confidence in that.
and, like, actually be who you are, be yourself, because I think this is a played up
slightly crazy version of yourself that maybe you don't even know that well.
But Sally last year, you know, learning about her life, all of that.
Like, I enjoyed Sally.
She was fine.
I didn't have, like, any major issues there.
There was a couple moments, but that's fine.
You've ramped it up to a thousand on your sophomore.
And this is the sophomore season.
We know how that goes.
A lot of people struggle in their sophomore year.
That's okay, too.
I just don't want to sit here and shit.
on her constantly and people think it's like oh she sucked she doesn't and i think that's what's
making this even more polarizing to watch because you're like what the fuck are you doing like slow down
take a breath take a beat go sit in the hot tub by yourself and have to think like yeah have some
alone time you need alone sally you need to go be alone yeah but the problem with pretty girls
walking over to the hot tub is then you have to pay the troll toll to Corey to get into the hot tub and
I don't think anybody wants to do that.
Get him off the fucking gel.
You know, damn well.
I'm sitting in the back.
Yeah.
And I, I don't, I'm not trying to cut you off, trying to add.
He's watching that hot tub waiting for somebody to go in.
And by somebody, I mean a woman to go in.
And then he's, yeah, first one over there.
bizarre.
Yeah, I'm with you.
I think he is such an unneeded accessory on this show.
I think he.
He doesn't even do things with Craig.
Craig is fine on his own.
Craig is making friendships.
with women on the show he's making friendships obviously he has a friendship with ship he's fine
he doesn't he's paying a guy to be his friend in jack yeah there are so many people on shows like
this that we look and we're like well you do need to hire somebody so that they can have scenes
together you do need to have one other auxiliary person because it's the only other person that
this person can sit down with one on one we thought maybe that would be the case with corey and
Craig no bravo was stupid and they're like oh yeah you know who you guys missed this fucking
guy no we we actually didn't we were done with him as soon as he showed up and then you put him
on winter house and then you're putting him down here i just know we're done get him out of here
he cheapens the product honestly he does that's that's the best way i can put it when he's on the
screen like oh god here we go dick joke or something stupid like we're if he would make more sense
not age wise because he he's definitely old but he would make a lot more sense on a southern
hospitality because that's how he acts like these are grown like dude even the southern
Hospitality guys are more mature than him.
I agree with you, actually.
I firmly agree with that.
It just, it cheapens the product.
Here's what I think happened.
I think before the season started, they looked at the roster and were like, oh, shit,
it might be tough for Craig to film with people.
Like, maybe we had a friend of to make sure that we're padded.
Could you imagine the producers?
Could you imagine the producers having a meeting?
Like, this might be really tough for Craig because, you know, he's trying to be somewhat
sober he's basically just spending all of his time at home from what we understand what are we
supposed to do with this like how's he going to mesh with the rest of the group because they're
still doing all of these younger people activities and going out all the time might be really
tough yeah i guess corey kind of makes sense maybe it'll bring a little bit and then they start
first episode and he's like yeah come over to my hot tub till 4 a.m they're like what the fuck is this
nobody saw this coming now we understand my austin so goddamn confused we all are
but anyway sally and molly getting back to uh that was a hell of a tangent but sally and molly
have a one-on-one after telling each other fuck off basically i loved molly's blow up was so genuine
that was so real and i felt it it's like you you start saying something and you don't want it
to go too far and then mid-sentence it just ramps up on you and then all of a sudden you're
saying more you're like yeah you know what well you are pretty annoying you fucking piece of shit
asshole. Whoa. That just that was primal, wasn't it? That came out. That came from deep down here
somewhere. It just had to get out. But they're able to at least apologize, hey, let's, let's move on from
this. And I get it from Molly's standpoint. And like you said, there could be more out of Molly's
camp as far as shit talking going on. But I do firmly believe that the shit talking ceased after we get
that unseen footage of her and Sally at Wittner's party.
Yeah.
I think Molly's the type of person.
It's like it's squashed.
It's squashed.
We're done.
I agree.
Molly took it a step further.
I think that,
or sorry,
Sally took it a step further.
I think Molly's like,
what the fuck?
We said we weren't going to do this.
And then you did it.
But they're able to at least have some peace in this moment.
Will that last?
I think so because I don't think Molly wants to be involved.
I think it will.
honestly and it's really just Molly's doing but I also do think that it could go either way
honestly because Sally is currently in a situation with Charlie who is her friend she's in a
situation with Benita who is her friend but she could lose both of them pretty quickly
she might need somebody like Molly who's going to ground her in such a way and I do think
that Molly would be up for the challenge because she would look at it like anybody else on
the show if they're going through a hard time I guarantee you Molly's one of
first people there. So I do think that it could cease. And if it does, she's in a good position
to at least have Molly to like talk to about all the drama and all the shit that she's gotten
herself into. And Molly, I agree with you. She's done. She's good. Yeah. I watch this. Like I was
done at Wittner's party. You kept going. I heard about it. As long as you don't keep going,
we won't have a problem again. I don't think Sally really has a reason to keep going after Molly
because I do think Molly's going to stop making comments. So I don't know. It's going to be interesting
to see how that plays out. And I don't think that Sally's a mean or bad person.
No, I really don't. She's just gossiping. I think she's insecure. I think all of this is rooted in
insecurity. I think that could that could have to do with Craig. It could have to do with something
totally unrelated to men. I don't know. But that's the vibe it gives. It gives when she's with
certain people, she says certain things to fit in. And then that gets her in trouble. And then when
she has to answer for it, I think she genuinely is remorseful.
I think she's sitting there going, fuck, I did it again.
I'm really sorry.
I do think she wants friends.
I don't think she wants to burn bridges.
I think she's caught in between trying to be nice and feeling insecure.
That's where I've landed with her.
And is it entertaining?
My God, yes.
Do you want to live there forever?
No, you don't.
So hopefully we work through that soon.
But it does make for very good TV.
So thank you for biting the bullet for us at home.
Then Shep gives us his Memorial Day.
a fit.
I'm with Madison.
If that doesn't scream confidence,
I don't know what does.
You know,
if that's,
look,
if you're strong enough and comfortable,
he was.
He was stoked.
Fine.
I'm cool with it.
You know,
I like,
I'm not going to take that away from him.
I will never take that away from him.
If he was excited to do that,
you go ahead.
I'm just not going to look.
No,
I looked.
It's like a train wreck.
You know,
you can't not look.
Like 100% full bulge peak.
I couldn't help it.
Just being honest, guys.
Let me nitpick, though, real quick.
Powdered wig would have worked better on July 4th.
Memorial Day.
Agreed.
Exactly.
Agreed.
Yeah, more camo.
We need some camo out there.
What else?
Maybe an Army helmet would have been kind of cool.
You know, that would have tied that together with all some godwlers.
Yeah.
But, you know, A for effort.
It's the thought that counts.
We'll give them that.
All right.
So let's talk about Madison and Craig.
So Madison, who got to see.
this other side of Craig
sober for the first time
which is I made a big
point of that the other day when we talked about
it like it is eye opening when you
aren't drinking and you're around
people that are drinking especially when it gets
to that level she was livid
she didn't want to talk to him she bounced you said a lot
of shit about Craig but the root of it is
as she says to him like you're like a brother
to me dude like I do love you
it's just I'm seeing shit
that that I remember from the
past. I'm seeing the snaps. I'm seeing the tequila, the late nights. Are you good? Because it doesn't
seem like you are. And it's the first genuine, authentic moment out of Craig that got me to reel my
shit in. Because here I am after watching watch what happens live and then watching this episode.
I'm just getting more and more irritated. We still haven't addressed the fact that you did what
you did on the beach last year. I don't understand why. At least,
Now we're getting a side of Craig where it's like, oh, right, here, there you are.
What's going on?
Dude, I'm struggling.
I'm struggling.
And after that Austin shit, I called my therapist the next day.
I believe that 100%.
I believe he called his therapist the next day.
I believe that he had instant remorse after that happened.
I don't think that in the root of Craig, I don't think he's an evil person.
I think that something gets in the way, the wires get crossed, and he fucking snaps.
And I think the reason for that is alcohol.
I think that is the root factor here.
And I think when you go and watch what happens live and you say, Andy asked him about the
drinking, which I'm glad he did.
And he's like, well, I earn my drinks now.
I drink once a week.
You know, like I save it up for this.
Here's the sympathy part, okay?
Because this is a journey.
Sobriety is a journey.
Learning who you are in sobriety is a journey.
to go from last year being on the beach and declaring yourself a full-blown alcoholic, an addict,
you have a problem, to then fast forward to now, like you, I kept saying all seasons,
like, oh, you're the first person ever just figure out sobriety.
You just learned how to drink again.
No one else can do that.
And there's a lot of different types of alcoholism.
There's me who drinks all day, every day, for a very long time, and then there's
the weekend warrior.
The point of alcoholism is not do you drink?
every day. It's when you do drink, is it an issue? Are you able to go out and drink safely
and not have a full-blown meltdown? And that doesn't mean you go four months drinking and there
is no meltdown. If four months in one day happens and that one day you have that fucking
freak out, that's still a drinking problem. And the risk or the reward system that he talks
about where it's like I earned my drinks is something we learn about in rehab. It's the same
thought process as I just drink beer now. I don't drink liquor because I know what it does
to me. It's the same thought process. It's the same stepping stones down this road of addiction
and alcoholism that leads you to a worse and worse problem and down this rock bottom path.
And that's what I'm seeing. And that's from somebody in recovery. That's from somebody that's
watched Craig. That knows him a little bit. We've talked him a few times.
that's what I'm getting.
So I do think that somewhere in there, he's trying to figure this out.
I think the problem with him is because he's so image focused and because he's so afraid to have this tarnish on his name,
that he's afraid to admit the fact that I need help to figure this out.
He seems to think that because I talk about it every once in a while and because I acknowledge that I did or do have a problem, that's enough.
That's not enough.
And if you want to play the card that you did last year on that beach and then go and say,
I'm earning my drinks, that's something that I would have said.
That's something I did say.
That's a drinking problem.
Watch yourself on this season.
Watch yourself compared to last year.
Were you still a dick sometimes last year?
Sure.
But look at what happened in one fucking episode.
It took one episode for you to get back to where you were.
And I believe you that you don't want to.
to be that guy. So if this is the route we're going, take a step back, take a fucking deep
breath, acknowledge the issue, and be open about it. You don't have to be the guy that's like,
but I'm okay. I figured it out. You didn't. You won't. It's not how it works.
An interesting way to look at it from Austin's perspective, maybe. Maybe Craig was jealous that
Austin can drink.
Maybe that's what was going on for less year and a half.
We don't know that.
But I agree with you.
And I do think he was really close.
And he may have actually gone over this line where we were starting this season saying,
all right, let's give him a little bit of grace.
He's figuring shit out.
He doesn't really know what he wants to do.
Like, yeah, you can still point at the BHC in last year and still have a problem with
it.
But if you're not going to do that and you're not going to hold him fully accountable to that
and you want to say that's a weak moment, that's okay.
I'm not going to tell you what to do.
but the way that we started this season was all right like yeah of course he's a bit of a train wreck
he wanted he had his entire life planned out with page it didn't play out now he's just stuck in
charleston alone and of course he's going to have those moments so let's give him a little bit of leeway
and by episode i don't even know what episode we're on but by episode like six all of a sudden
all of that shit's gone we're completely out the window he's treating everybody like shit he's doing
the things that Craig did years ago that we all had problems with that we all would point to
and be like, well, you've got a substance abuse problem.
You've got an alcohol problem.
You've got all these things.
You've got all these issues.
Try to clean it up, figure it out, but we're well past that.
And now you're not even saying that you have any of these issues.
Now you're just ignoring all of these things.
To have him now, at least with Madison, the voice of reason on this show, actually say it.
It was like right on the cusp of, are we really going to do this for the rest of the season?
Is he really not going to acknowledge anything?
We're going to be done with them.
We're going to be done with every scene that he's dealing with this because he's just not admitting.
it. Now, by doing this, you're not alienating yourself anymore. You're not putting yourself
in that position because all of the questions that we've had for the last three or four episodes
have been, are you just a dick? Are you just like this? And you don't give a fuck what
anybody else thinks about you. Are you even trying to work on yourself? Because you're not
even admitting to yourself or anybody else that you've got something going on, that you're even
having an issue with getting over page. Like, you haven't even talked about any of that.
to have this conversation with Madison, it puts things into perspective and at least shows
us like, cool, all right, we understand.
We were telling you that for weeks and weeks and weeks, but you weren't saying that.
So it was a problem.
Now at least with just this mini combo, you're going to have to do a lot more work.
You're going to have to talk to Austin.
You're going to have to talk to Shep.
You're going to have to at least address it.
But at least by having this conversation with Madison, like you said, he's in there somewhere.
There is a guy in there that has shown us in the past.
He can work on himself.
There is a guy in there now that is acknowledging that there is a problem.
It's not just I'm ignoring all of this and I don't give a shit.
Fuck you if you don't agree with me.
There is something deep rooted in there that's saying, I'm a train wreck.
There's something going on.
And that's okay.
As long as you actually say those words, you can come back into the grace of a lot of people.
A lot of people will look at that and be like, okay.
So he's not completely gone.
He's not completely out there.
We haven't lost Craig entirely.
He can come back.
And this is the first step.
And I agree with you.
I do think that he did call his therapist right away.
Now, the problem is you can call your therapist and try to work through it.
You haven't talked to them in two years and try to see if there's any slots available.
You should be saying something to someone, maybe not Austin directly, but talking to Shep and saying, look, man, like I'd have a real problem with my behavior that night.
I'm mortified.
I called my therapist the next day.
If Austin found out about that, Austin's not going to tuck tail and run to Charlotte.
He's not going to be face-timing with Benita to have a bitch sesh about Craig.
He's going to feel bad for you because that's just the type of friends and the type of person that
Austin is and it would go a long way.
And then by the way, you're going to have a little bit more freedom.
You're going to have a little bit more grace.
Austin's not going to be making these comments all the time because he's not going to want
to feel bad about putting somebody who's already down, down further.
So you're going to put yourself in a better position and you're going to be able to excuse
yourself from certain situations.
So that would go so far.
So I do need him to at least address that.
Maybe Madison has a conversation with Austin.
And they talk about it.
And it's just up to Austin at that point.
Whatever he wants to do at that point is completely on his own terms.
That's okay too.
But this was needed.
This was sorely needed, at least from people who have liked Craig over the years,
who have seen his whole process, his whole journey to get to this point.
It's like, dude, we're so close to being just completely done with you if you continue
down this road.
This is enough, at least for now, to buy you some time.
Yeah. That's, I mean, that's the best way to put it. And you can tell, like, I've been motherfucking this guy for five weeks, you know, like, because it does. And ask anybody in recovery would be very perturbed by what they're watching right now. It's not the drinking, honestly. Like, it's the lack of acknowledging, right? Because I know that this is a journey. I'm well aware. And if this is like a stumble before he gets back up, that's fine. Yep. But last year,
you claim to be the foremost expert on sobriety so if that is the case and you did put the work
and you would know right now where you're at what's going on that's the whole point of rehab is to
teach you what's fucked up about you so you can try to fix it so that's trying to do both too yes he's
also he's like you said he's afraid to show weakness he's afraid to show weakness to sally to
you know charlie to anybody that he has potential romantic interest in and of course he's got an issue
with showing that he's got a weakness to Austin because he doesn't want to be below Austin.
So all of these things are adding up and it probably is killing him to know deep down that he's
got these issues, but he can't admit it to anybody.
He can't show that weakness because he might lose Charlie, he might lose Sally, he might lose
Austin, but you're not really going to because anybody with a good head on their shoulders
is going to look at that and be like, dude, figure it out.
I can help you figure it out or you can go help yourself figure it out, but we're not going
it just abandoned you. And I think that that might be an issue too. Sure. But it's like it goes back to
like the this cliche where it's like how do you feel when you help people? Great. Everyone likes
most people like helping people. Right. Like it's a good feeling when you when you take care of a friend.
Nobody there is going to fucking cast you out because you're not 100% vice versa. They're going to cast
you out for acting like you're 100 when you're not. And I think the biggest thing that he
needs to do with the Austin stuff like you said talk about your shit but talk about it to other
people don't save it for when you have this heart to heart with Austin for the first time
in months and then you drop this shit on them it does a lot more to mend the friendship if
Austin hears through the grapevine that you told Madison you talk to Sally about it you
talk to Charlie about it you ask chef his opinion because that tells Austin you are doing the
work it's not rocket science but i do understand it's scary to take that step but you've done it
before yeah you've taken that step so fucking tie your shoes and and start walking like it's time
anyway the episode ends with a little hot tub sesh where we get some information that sally did
stay the night because they ended up going to brunch and then the country club uh alluding to
potentially boinking i don't really know it's no i don't know i don't
I think they did. I still think we're talking about, and I know there's been now multiple hot tubs, but I do still think that they're talking about that first night because that's when Corey was there. So I'm putting context clues together. Corey was at Madison's baby shower. So I think Corey was asking about that night because he wasn't there. It was just Shep, Sally and Craig at that point. Corey had fucked off and took an Uber home at some point before Shep left. So I think that's what they're referring to. It's just more of the same where it's like, oh yeah, what did you guys do?
and they're not.
What happens.
And they didn't have sex,
which makes it so much funnier.
And you can see it on Sally's face like,
oh,
maybe there's still a chance going on here.
But the other thing that I wanted to talk about
was when everybody was leaving,
Vanita,
who showed up with towels,
who was really nice
and being a good person to come over,
showing the host,
hey, you invited me over.
It's a very southern thing to do.
You invited me over.
I'm just going to grin and barred.
Here's some gifts for you.
I appreciate you having me over,
even though we're in the midst of all this bullshit.
And by the way, I'm also going to say goodbye to you.
As soon as she leans down, which first she leaned down and I think it was Shep or maybe
Corey gave him a hug, gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Like, thanks.
Good to see you, whatever.
Does the same with Craig.
Craig accepts it.
Immediately, Sally going, oh, so you can lean down and give him a hug and a kiss,
but I can't do any of those things?
Really?
No, that's what we're going to do?
You can't kiss him on the cheek, but I can't hang out with him in front of everybody.
In front of the entire party, you said that.
So embarrassing.
Like, one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen.
And that's saying a lot on Bravo.
But it was, I legitimately went, oh, like, I literally had a physical reaction to it.
It was like, why would, what?
And by the, the scenes from next week where they sit down together one-on-one,
which we're going to talk about a lot next week, I'm assuming.
Vanita is so right.
She is so unbelievably right.
He's going to put you on a leash, walk you like a dog,
and then discard you as soon as he's done with you and moves on to bigger about.
better things you need to get your head around that the need is being a good friend yes she is having
issues with craig yes she doesn't really like Craig but she's also so right and i i doubt that
sally's going to be able to see through that and realize okay no she's actually telling me the
truth she's not just doing this like as a vindictive thing because she doesn't want to see me and
somebody that she doesn't like together she's telling you the truth please by all means just
hear her out just try to look for things here and there because right now Craig is
currently probably on a date with Charlie while you and Vanita are sitting down.
So please, for your sake and everybody else's sake that has to watch this,
do not do anything else.
She's going to.
It's going to be the same exact response as we saw tonight when she was talking about Craig to Vanita.
It's like, well, I'm not going to stop hanging out with them.
And she's like, that's my point.
She's like, we can't, like she just starts getting, like she goes from,
oh my God, Vanita, I love you so much.
I would never do that to you.
blah, blah, blah, but I'm not going to stop.
And then she turns into like a 15 year old.
She's like, nah, me, me, me, me.
It's like, that's the problem.
And Vanita walks away from her.
And then she goes to a confessional and she's like, like, let me live.
It's like, that's not how life works, Sally.
You have a good friend.
You don't fuck with people that they don't fuck with.
That's the rules.
That's just basic societal rules.
And she's talking to us at home, like, we're going to agree with her.
She's like, you get it.
I was like, no, dude, you're fucking your friend over to try to point Craig.
It's a bad look.
We're all on the same side here.
So, yeah, that was, that was full.
That was so brutal.
I was stunned when she said that.
Stunned.
But let's get some questions here.
Oh.
Nena.
Jinks, you owe me a soda.
First one up here from McGruber 822.
Do you think if Paige was still on Summerhouse,
she would talk about Craig as much as he is on Southern Charm?
No, I don't think so.
There would be a passing comment here and there.
I'm sure there would be some sort of,
sort of orchestrated scene in the beginning
like how have you been doing moving on
from Craig? Have you seen anything from them? That would
be it. Uh, from B. Reedy
13-126 to Sally think the buying chickens will get Craig
to sleep with her. Yes, she does.
Probably. From
Jay Bay the Hut, 713, steal,
would you let people pick peppers, tomatoes at a party
you're hosting? Yeah, no one's going to
want to though. Like when he said that, I was like,
no one's going to do that. It's like, ooh, let's go
get some honey. As I'm leaving, yeah, let me go
grab some of this maybe if you had like this is the thing that would make it next level have a
parting gift of some honey have a parting gift of like a basket like a picnic basket with a little
like towel over it and it's got a pepper in there it's got a couple tomatoes and it's got a jar
of honey that would hit that would absolutely i would love that 100% uh let's see oh there you go
from em louis thoughts on Craig saying he earns his drinks now and watch what happens live yeah
I addressed it.
Glad other people are seeing it.
From Brit Mobley, Charlie is just a blonde slash southern page.
Do you think that's why Craig is into it?
I think Charlie is more even tempered than somebody like Sally.
And Craig is, like, we can take this for face value.
He is just starting off getting back into the dating scene.
I know that like he had that fling with that girl and it was all over Instagram, but that
didn't really count as far as what we're seeing here i think he's just feeling things out but
charlie is a much better match than sally so i think we're going to see his interest level
peak but once we do eventually see who he's ultimately going to end up with it'll be night
and day yep lindsay bucks has sallie never been in a jacuzzi before the way this woman goes
on and on about it yeah that's a good point when you're a kid and you're like oh can we go
not to you're a hot to
yeah I don't
oof
I'm glad to this sentiment
just goes across from B-Man Graham
0727 I feel bad
for Shep in this episode his one mistake
was talking to Craig bad
yeah I'm glad that other people are feeling
bad for Shet but that was
it was a bad move
and maybe now
that will be the final time he does it
probably not but maybe
probably not
do a couple more
good no i i had one for the end but we can do two more uh here's a good one from car millionaire
is whitner bravo's new newest eligible bachelor i think so yeah i think he's do he's definitely
putting a good bid for himself without a doubt there's a two for from alex britain 95 two
good questions i'll read the both what do you think about vanita going to the pool party i think
it's a very good move. It's classy. It's cordial. It's what you're supposed to do. That's what she did.
That's also what she was doing on the way out, Sally. She was being classy and cordial. Correct.
And the second question, did Craig and Madison's Convo renew him for you? Renew? No. No. But
it pulled me back a little bit. Yeah. It's breathing life into it. Yeah. It's giving some space to analyze it
differently than fuck you for using sobriety as a crutch. Yes, definitely.
but yeah i guess we'll leave it there except for the last one here from rock star 0521 corey
sucks agreed yep you are correct get him out of here i forgot he was on the show until i popped
back up in this episode i was like oh i did it's ever present in my mind hey well lots to talk about
this season so i mean that's a big benefit of having this kind of chaos on a cast is that we
have a lot to talk about.
I sure do.
We'll see where everything goes, but that's all I got.
You got anything else?
Nope.
Well, that's our show.
Bro's got to go.
